Reviews
Guests generally enjoy their stay at the hotel, praising the beautiful property, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, some guests have issues with the breakfast offerings and the quality of the beds and pillows.
- Beautiful property and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Breakfast offerings are limited and not up to par
- Beds and pillows are uncomfortable for some guests

The location is unbeatable, directly opposite the airport terminal, making it my preferred hotel whenever I have an early flight from Birmingham. Check-in is always quick and smooth, the rooms are clean and have everything needed for an overnight stay, and the bed is comfortable. There is also a convenient hotel drop-off point right outside the entrance. Nothing significant. It is exactly what I need for a convenient overnight stay before a flight.

Perfect hotel to stay in. Everything was perfect - above & beyond.

Great location and clean hotel. We were disappointed that our room did not have a balcony as described when we booked it. Our room was on the back side of the hotel and was a bit dark and dungeon-like. When we asked about the balcony, we were told that they are on a first come, first serve basis. If we had know that, we would have requested a balcony upon booking. Also, their breakfast was simple which is fine, but they were out of some basic items such as hard boiled eggs and certain yogurts. If they are going to keep it simple, it would be nice if they could keep items stocked.

We booked a room for weekend, drove several hours to the property only to be told we didn’t have a reservation. I was told they oversold their rooms for the weekend and therefore cancelled my stay without notifying me . I also have yet to receive a refund . I yet continue to receive confirmation of my stay which makes no sense .

Great location in Los Gatos. Quiet and safe.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel, excellent location! I wish they’d allow the room thermostat to go below 68 degrees for sleeping and the pool would close at 9pm instead of 10pm - a Loud party kept us up till 10:30pm one night. Also, the breakfast quality is poor compared to how nice this hotel is.
- 4/5
It was nice. I was only there one night and had a late checkin. I didn’t really have time to take advantage of the place, but it looked really nice. Maybe next visit I’ll get in earlier.

Lovely hotel walkable to downtown Los Gatos. Room and bath incredibly clean and spacious. Despite the busy location, very quiet. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great stay. Access to the pool should be included in the price though.
- 5/5
Great location, easy parking, clean and updated rooms. Great visit - will return
- 1/5
Breakfast consisted of a muffin and cereal. The staff overcharged me and wouldn't give me a refund or credit. Amenities were subpar, and there are no lighted pathways outside the front door; it is completely dark for 2 square miles surrounding the property, so be careful walking around..
- 5/5
A beautiful hotel in a great spot in Los Gatos. Literally not a single downside I can point out.
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
The only downside is the breakfast, it’s quite limited and not very satisfying. Better to plan to eat somewhere nearby. Overall, a so good to stay, just don’t expect much from breakfast.
- 5/5
Best place in town
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing. It was absolutely beautifully maintained. It smelled great. Our room was luxurious. We had a chance to have a nightcap in the restaurant and it was terrific. Our bed was so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again a 12 out of a 10.
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean and parking was not a problem. I checked out at 4:45 am to be at Good Samaritan Hospital at 5am. Due to a change in the schedule, I was left without a room at 5am. I decided to return to the hotel and they were kind enough to reactivate my key and check-out at 11am. Customer service is excellent. I definitely recommend this hotel and I will be returning.
- 5/5
My love there
- 4/5
Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are extremely helpful and responsive. Breakfast is more along the lines of light snacks but would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Los Gatos never disappoints! Always nice and tranquil. The staff is alway professional and quick to offer a recommendation on a great restaurant

Very clean and comfortable room. Wonderful location
- 5/5
Great hotel. Highly recommend it. Could do with a better breakfast selection though.
- 3/5
My only real gripe with this hotel was the “complimentary” breakfast. It was complimentary in that it was included as part of the mandatory “amenities fee”. The coffee machines didn’t work very well (neither of them seemed to have milk despite offering lattes etc. there was no yogurt despite it being explicitly mentioned. The cereal selection consisted on Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The “fruit juices” offered ended up being a single juice (OJ), and the fresh pastries were a meager selection of plain croissants, banana bread and a single type of bread for the toaster. None of this is a dealbreaker, but really let down the rest of the experience. A tiny amount of additional thought and effort would make all the difference.
- 5/5
Great lite breakfast in the morning. Great pool and hot tub.

Noisy next door guests at 2am. People laughing and dog barking. Also guests above making noise throughout the night.
- 5/5
Stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and the hotel it was very accommodating left us a nice little basket with some champagne in our room and I think we got the Grand suite or just a suite but my wife was thrilled. Will stay here again.

Great place Fantastic staff in all areas of the property
- 4/5
The location of the hotel is wonderful, but it went from feeling like a five star hotel to more of a four star that continue to reduce services and they’ve only been gradually changing out the remodel so it feels a bit choppy in the structure
- 5/5
Great location, amazing staff, clean facilities and overall great experience. Has our small dog with us and Ashley at the desk walked up welcomed us and made sure we gas everything we need. The only knock i would have is the breakfast on a sunday morning was just a couple pastries and Greek yogurt.
- 5/5
The room was amazing and comfortable! Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a hotel within the San Jose area.
- 5/5
Beautiful room …the staff was fantastic and walking distance to parts of downtown
- 5/5
Room was spotless, comfortable and all amenities were top notch. Staff was friendly and the morning small breakfast was convenient with high end espresso makers, breads and egg fritatta. Lobby is comfortable with natural light.

Unbelievable experience and customer service. The person checking us in was so professional, friendly, and celebrated our engagement by giving us a complimentary gift. It's those special touches that set apart Hotel Los Gatos from all others. I've stayed at other hotels in the area, and I am glad I tried this one. SUPERB!

We enjoyed our stay, weather cold, hall ways cold, floor in room was cold. Did I mention we are from FLORIDA! What can I say, anything under 65 is freezing to us....Everything is relative! We enjoyed our stay. Alway everything could be better but I would recommend your hotel.

Room 216 does not have good water pressure in the shower. The shower has a very small shower head, which seems to not fit the shower. Otherwise the room was great.

BS "amenities fee" of 30 dollars a day (!) which I never agreed to. I asked the front desk what amenities this covered, and this was apparently the pool, towels, breakfast, etc... ya know, the standard things hotels provide. So-called "continental breakfast" was just a single counter of pastries and Keurig coffee with creamer in the lobby, which ran out daily. Room was very stuffy but you couldn't turn on the AC below 68 degrees. It wasn't 100% awful, but I paid for a nice experience and got a Best Western. Spend your money elsewhere.
- 4/5
The room was clean and beautiful! Lots of space, loved the bathroom as well.

Really lovely facility! If I’m back down in this area again I will definitely stay here.
- 4/5
Room was large, but the layout and bathroom was odd. It was a suite, the other rooms are laid out better. Gym peloton and treadmills are broken. The rooms overlooking the pool are nice and the hotel is nice. Price was good. Dio Dekka restaurant is fabulous, but is not ownwed by the hotel. I'd stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything is great!
- 5/5
Nice w. Complimentary light breakfast (omelett muffins, toast, yoghurt, juice and coffee)
- 5/5
The room was spotless, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although we were told a light breakfast was included with the room, I found it to be delicious and plentiful. Loved the mini crustless quiches!
- 5/5
If so cared about the quality and variety of food at the continental breakfast I would rate lower. No room service and no restaurant or coffee shop on site is a negative.

Nice rooms, pleasant atmosphere wonderful restaurant onsite!
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful. The balcony was lovely and the AC worked well.
- 3/5
Super loud. People partying until 3 am. Connecting door between rooms, kids next door sounded like they were inside our room.
- 5/5
Our room keys were deactivated 2 hrs before departure and then we had to show ID when we had come for breakfast without wallet. Inconvenient!
- 4/5
Nice property and super convenient for purposes.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful I was a little disappointed that we couldn’t order room service from the restaurant that is on the hotel grounds. Other than that all was great!!!
- 5/5
Beds are comfy And the hotel is close to good restaurants and wineries.
- 4/5
Lovely suite, very comfortable and charming decor.Nice pool , no jets in hot tub that could be turned on ?? Chose this location to attend Mountain Winery concert. Perfect
- 5/5
The room was clean, comfy bed, french-doors leading out to pool.
- 4/5
One of the outlets on one side of the bed was not working, and there was a leak under the sink which we didn’t notice and wet our stuff. But not a huge deal. Would have been nice to have more time to use the amenities a little later (pool, hot tub, fitness center). It was a very comfortable stay, and we would definitely visit Los Gatos again!
- 5/5

Gorgeous hotel and amazing location in downtown Los Gatos. One of our favorites as visitors who used to be residents of the town!
- 5/5
Beautiful and very convenient!
- 5/5
Quite hotel. The room is clean. Nice area. Plenty of parkings. The staffs are friendly.

Breakfast definitely needs improvement as well as the ice machine service but a very clean place and nice pool and jacuzzi.

- 5/5
W O W. Super comfy and love the coziness!
- 3/5
Pillow not soft. Workers doing some repairs were noisy
- 5/5
We were very pleased with this hotel. Aside from the fact that it was extremely clean, it was also very secure. You could not enter the buildings without a key card, even from the parking garage. Would definately stay here again.
- 5/5
It really was so beautiful the fireplace and balcony can't beat it. Loved our stay
- 5/5
The continental breakfast was average - at best - the coffee was not very good and the only fruit offered was a bowl of apples.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Thank you
- 5/5
Room and pool were beautiful. Had an amazing time relaxing with my wife.
- 5/5
We had a fantastic stay. Thank you!
- 5/5
Clean and safe: parking was a little hard.
- 5/5
Nice place. Breakfast is not good …
- 4/5
Convenient location and very nice room. Parking was easy and having EV chargers was very helpful. Breakfast was a big disappointment. Not much selection and I would expect much better quality.
- 2/5
Looks like the property was once cute and charming but it’s quite aged and needs some maintenance. It is 8-10 min walk from the main part of the city.
- 5/5
Our rental home turned out to be less than comfortable so we left a day early and checked into hotel Los Gatos for a night - the big, clean, comfy bed and deep soaking tub were exactly what we needed. And our dog liked it too
- 5/5
Love this hotel and it’s accessibility to the restaurants and shopping!
- 5/5
What a beautiful upscale experience! The room was so spacious! Loved the Mediterranian style.
- 5/5
Property was well kept and clean. We stayed 5 nights and it was lovely.

- 5/5
I like the villa feel and the nostalgic vibes of the place.
- 3/5
Disappointed in amenities
- 4/5
Pool area chairs are limited and apparently taken by locals who pay monthly membership. It’d be nice to have a chair and space by pool.
- 3/5
The bed was extremely hard as were the pillows! Ouch !..
- 3/5
The water heater went out. Would’ve been nice to take a shower before our dinner reservation. Woke up in the morning to people above us running and stomping loud. For the price we paid, wasn’t worth it. Staff was accommodating and helpful. However, wouldn’t stay again. We stayed in the King Grand suite.
- 5/5
Property perfect ! But, breakfast not good…
- 3/5
The front desk personnel are inexperienced and more than a bit clueless. Our check-in was rocky as our room wasn't ready. The clerk told us to come back later, but was unable to check us in and notify when the room was available. Just a short, "come back." When we did return, a different clerk told us room was still not ready, and when informed of prior clerk's "come back" directions, he kept telling us over and over that he was just coming on duty and knew nothing. Trouble was that the room HAD been ready all along, but housekeeping had neglected to status it correctly and the first clerk didn't check with them. Room was generally good, but the tile grout in the bath was a moldy. They need to have better attention to detail as it was very noticable. Being a holiday weekend, we knew we had limited options, so put up with it. Upon checkout, when asked for a copy of my folio showing zero due, the clerk on duty was again clueless and kept telling me I had booked through a 3rd party and she couldn't do that. After I instisted on this receipt (since they had swiped my card for amenities I never used), she finally asked someone for help and they got me what I needed. It's obious this hotel doesn't have very high customer service standards, good training, or both. For what we pay, I expect five star.
- 5/5
Beautiful Mediterranean style hotel in a great location in Los Gatos. Walking distance to lots of great shops and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Also ate at Dio Deka, the restaurant on site. Delicious! Would definitely return. 😊
- 5/5
Amazing hotel
- 5/5
It was such a cute boutique hotel! Very Tuscan like and smelled like a spa the moment you walked into any of the buildings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed out stay and would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Very quiet but in a convenient setting near shopping and restaurants. The decor is charming, with wooden shutters and Mexican tile in the bath.
- 5/5
Our favorite property in Los Gatos. We visit at least twice each year. Very nice!

We took a last minute trip and wound up at this hotel. Very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Lovely stay- we will be back.

All of it was fantastic
- 5/5
This hotel is quiet and close to all restaurants and shopping in Los Gatos. Has a nice restaurant in property and the service is impeccable. Facial and massage services are available.
- 4/5
Hated the motion sensor light in the bathroom.
- 5/5
We were greeted with a lovely smile by Ashley at the front desk. I can’t remember the name of the other gentleman at the front desk but both were very lovely people and helpful. By far the hotel is gorgeous so you feel as though you are in Paris or Europe somewhere. We had everything we needed right there. Rooms were clean, well stocked with toiletries and much more. In hotel restaurant unique and quite fancy. If you are a hamburger sort of person you might want to eat elsewhere. But the food is very good. The prices are reasonable and won’t break the bank.
- 5/5
The coffee shop across the street was superb.
- 5/5
Love this hotel! Nice for a little getaway in a great location
- 5/5
We visit quite often. It is very nice. We choose a room with a bedroom. The nearby restaurants are great. A great place for a staycation. 👍
- 5/5
Clean & well decorated hotel. Our room was ample and well distributed, but poorly located between a kitchen & a bathroom. One room balcony faced the parking lot where the trash bins are - so it is **very** noisy very early when trash is picked up
- 5/5
Awesome property - will definitely be returning
- 5/5
Thank you for the great service with a smile. The property is great. Has exactly what you need. Walkable to restaurants.
- 4/5
Girl at the desk was very in out, but the hotel was actually very nice and everything was fine. It was a great hotel and appreciated experience with Hotels.com.
- 3/5
The property was beautiful. I got the king suite with a fireplace because it’s so romantic. Well the fireplace didn’t work and they didn’t seem to care. Probably won’t go back or recommend just because of there attitude and not caring about my concern.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
This hotel is located just outside of downtown Los Gatos and it is walkable distance to most of the downtown shops and restaurants. Downtown Los Gatos is very cute with numerous good shopping and dining options.
- 5/5
Just a wonderful spot to stay if you need to stay in Los Gatos or the surrounding area.
- 5/5
Such a beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Had a lovely weekend. Definitely coming back again to this one!

This was my second stay at this property and both times have been lovely. The town of Los Gatos is quaint wirh lots of delicious food options, shopping, and local parks. The hotel has a Tuscan vibe and the rooms are well appointed and the staff is always friendly. Would dedinitelt recommend to friends and guests.

Was in town for family gathering and stayed over night. The hotel was very clean, cozy, beds were very comfortable..All in all stay was very nice.
- 5/5
Loved it. Easy check in, great clean room, plenty of parking, room service came and cleaned my room and left clean towels without having to ask, easy check out, etc. will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property, very clean and well maintained. Ashley, who checked us in, was beyond kind and friendly. She was so welcoming and made us feel at home, so shoutout to her. Definitely staying here again!

It was a nice place to stay if you need to be in that area
- 5/5
It has character with tiling and decor. Love the hot tub and location.
- 5/5
It’s always a pleasant stay..
- 5/5
The rooms were spacious and clean, and if staying in Los Gatos, a convenient option that's walking distance to the main drag.
- 1/5
Second stay. Will not return. Expensive and out dated. Closed hotel restaurant and room next to noisy kitchen. ...that too on a slow Mon night.
- 5/5
We stay here on a regular basis. We live it! 👍
- 5/5
In particular, Alex and Gabriel went over and above the call of duty to ensure my husband and I were completely thrilled with our second stay; allowing us to explore several rooms before finally landing in the room we enjoyed so much during our first visit. (Thanks guys!) If you’re looking for a charming and elegant experience with AMAZING Michelin cuisine on site, you need not look any further. BOOK IT and be sure to check out Dio Deka. YUMMMMMM Roni Rudy

Very clean nice hotel in the heart of Los Gatos. Great restaurant at the hotel.
- 5/5
Lovely stay!
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. Couldn’t have asked for better service.
- 2/5
He elevator. I am handicapped using a walker. For a highly rated hotel there was no help with luggage. My wife had to push a luggage cart to the elevator and down a long hallway. Receptionist should have recognized that we are elderly in need for some help. Do not plan to use this hotel again. During the last 2 years we stayed at Hotel Los Gatos oabout 50+ nights.
- 5/5
Loved the room and location.
- 5/5
the room was lovely and spacious. the staff was polite. the continental breakfast and coffee was delightful and greatly appreciated. being pet friendly really made our trip complete. the only negative was our meal at Deko - not so great for the cost. Server was lovely, watermelon salad very good but rest of meal average at best.
