Very cute place!

Sad to see it go. It’s closed.

The room was very dated and run down. When we walked in the room was over 100 degrees. Only a small, very old wall air conditioner that couldn't cool it off. Had to open up the sliding glass door and front door to allow the heat to escape. The air condioner kept us up all night with a terrible grinding and crakling sound. Very uncomfortable. Never stay there again. I think they are closing and purposely haven't kept it up.
- 5/5
Nice cozy quiet place with a nice property and good service. It's the perfect place to stay in Los Gatos if you don't want to spend too much.
- 4/5
Patio was nice and a nice view over the lawns and pool, spacious grounds. we were upstairs, nice vaulted high ceiling. spacious room. in the room the air conditioner old and very loud. couldnt find the ice machine, signs were misleading, turns out, had to get ice from the office

Good

Older building but very clean. Pool kept very clean. Atmosphere very comfortable.would stay again.close to restaurants.
- 3/5
I couldn't walk on that carpet
- 5/5
We have been blessed to stay at the property several times a year for the past 20 years as our family lives in the area. Always a welcoming staff, decent rooms and if a problem the staff corrects it. Safe parking, beautiful grounds and a buffet breakfast. All good. Great place for families.
- 4/5
- Garbage (dumpster) pick-up VERY early and loud -- on two consecutive days. Management has got to deal with the waste company on this issue. - Pool closed -- a main reason for booking. Not OK in August, people.
- 4/5
Convenient. Close to restaurants and shops. Easy access to highways and route to Santa Cruz
- 3/5
Bathroom was kind of gross. Breakfast was delicious. Really cute lodge
- 4/5
Amazing breakfast, and nice clean pool and sitting area. However, the rooms are a little dated.
- 4/5
The hotel has a very nice property and great location. However the air condition was too noisy, and we couldn’t use it. Also the outlets next to the bed were not easily accessible.
- 5/5
Hidden gym. My family loves it every time we stay here. Great location and not far from Santa Cruz. Too bad they’re closing. We’ll miss this hotel.
- 5/5
I like it all cute ,clean perfect for a getaway
- 5/5
Bed very comfortable. Need more chairs or tables at breakfast but the food was good.
- 4/5
This place is a bit old and funky but so are we and we loved the gardens and quiet surroundings. It is reasonably priced and the hot breakfast was yummy. We will book again when we are in the area
- 3/5
Since the lodge is on ground level you hear a lot of outside foot traffic and cars. We heard drunk people during night and a car alarm also woke us up. Rooms are sub-par and worn down and decently clean but carpets felt damp and gross. Water pressure was excellent and breakfast was ok.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The grounds are lush green and well kept. It’s an old hotel and some upgrades are needed but it doesn’t distract from the good service and comfort. Great breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausages. Even though the pool isn’t heated, it was clean and we enjoyed the swim both days. Our grandkids enjoyed it especially because it’s been very hot.
- 1/5
My room smelled like mold and had spiders! The carpets were not vacuumed and the wallpaper was peeling off. I called front desk and was given another room. This next room was a bit more decent upon entering until i noticed the bathroom floor was infested with ants. The overall building was old and obviously not maintained. Only positive is the breakfast thats included.
- 5/5
It was amazing. Just wish the walls were a bit thicker so we wouldn’t be able to hear folks outside our room.
- 3/5
We stayed one night. It's an old place and while charming, needs better updates. The bed was so comfortable! The breakfast was delicious! Our room has evidence of the door being kicked in before, the trim around the door was damaged and drafty. The shower has little pressure and the head was up so high and immovable, my children couldn't be washed in the shower. The balcony wood is wobbly when walked on it and made me nervous to fall through. While everything seemed very clean, I thought there was hair on the shower floor and upon closer inspection , it was cracks in the paint or coating on the floor. Noisy. People were partying all night, jumping around on the porch. We could hear the neighbors throwing up the next morning through the bathroom wall. We didn't use the wifi but the TV options were great with no lag or buffer. We were on the second floor, no elevator. I would advise the staff not to book people with toddlers on the second floor (apologies to our downstairs neighbors, my 2 year old thinks he's a T-Rex)
- 3/5
The faucets in the room were wacky seemed like they were not installed correctly
- 2/5
The room and bathroom was very dated. Stained carpet that smelled musty. Overpriced for what you get.
- 4/5
Stay was nice, great location, could use updates.
- 4/5
Older property but a quaint California lodge.
- 5/5
We loved the property, able to walk around and enjoy the pool. Weather was perfect to sit on the patio. The room was cozy and my whole family enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel.
- 2/5
Straight out of the 1980s. The carpet in the room and tile in the bathroom were grimey, the room was just gross. The TV didnt work, couldnt get live TV channels just paid movie channels. Called the front desk and was denied help. Wanted to go swimming the next mornjng but there was trash, cups & towels all over the place from the night before. Overall, very dissapointing.
- 4/5
The property is in a nice area and relatively quiet. Unfortunately, there were loud people above my room this visit. I like this place because it is dog friendly. The bathrooms could use a refresh, but it is a good place to stay.
- 5/5
This is & has been a magnificent property, but unfortunately is closing 9/1/25 for redevelopment to condos.
- 5/5
The property is reasonably priced, pet friendly, has a little patio for outdoor seating, and is quiet.
- 5/5
The location was great
- 5/5
Completely satisfied With this lodge.
- 5/5
What a lovely place, clean, nice gardens views, wonderful breakfast, and the coffee was better than anyplace else including Starbucks. We would definitely go back and stay more says.
- 3/5
Hotel met needs, does need upkeep and update paint job and maintenance paint chips
- 4/5
Our room was spacious with a sitting room with a sofa bed and a 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds. It was clean. However, room was very dated and air conditioner in the bedroom was very noisy. Needed to turn it off at night. Other than that, our stay was fine.
- 3/5
Pool was nice
- 5/5
We’d definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Older place, decor poor. Cockroach in the bathroom
- 5/5
It's a charming property with beautiful grounds. Lots of green areas, grass, tall mature trees, various plants, flowers, a small pool, and some nice statues. There's a lot of different birds and small wildlife living there, enjoying their lives. It's sad because they are going to tear down this lovely, quaint hotel/lodge to replace with townhouses in September 2025. My heart is sad to see it go.
- 5/5
Nice old school motor lodge. Quiet and secure, come stay before they close down
- 5/5
I loved the wonderful green comun areas, the pool, very ample suites, separate bedroom also ample. Little fridge and micro inside the bedroom. small bathroom, nice ample balcony, old funrniture, old carpet ragged in some places, definitely needs to be changed, nice restaurant, good breakfast. Hated that it doesn't have any usb connections!!
- 1/5
I arrived and checked in and was directed to my room. Upon entering the room, it smelled musty. I opened the sliding glass door and found roaches on the carpet. There were also some roaches in the bathroom. I checked out of the hotel and had to pay for 1 full day even though I was there for about 20 minutes.
- 5/5
Great location and great area. The room was large and very comfortable. excellent bed. Someone from the hotel came and checked my room to make sure everything was functioning and checked the air-conditioning settings. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. The front desk is helpful and accommodating.
- 4/5
Quiet
- 4/5
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the bedsheets are soft same with the towels. The breakfast is good.
- 3/5
We had to change rooms 3 times due to air conditioning issues and the water pressure was horrible. Noce area but i woukdnt pay over $200 a night to stay there again.
- 3/5
Great location. Needs to be updated
- 5/5
I called at 1pm and they were kind enough to let me check in early. There were some ants in my room after returning from a walk around Los Gatos and maintenance was there within 5 minutes to get rid of them. Great experience!
- 1/5
The room was very dirty. There way urine film covering the bowl of the toilet, there way brown spots o the toilet seat, the carpet had not been vacuumed, there were piles of roach eggs surrounding the table legs, there were baby roaches flying around the room, there were two adult roaches on the dresser, when turning on and off the bathroom fan the rev up and rev down sounds like a five engine war plane taking off, there were dead roaches on the floor of the lobby right in front of the check in desk. This place needs to be shut down - it is a true safety hazard. I took a bunch of pictures and videos of what was in my room. I will not be returning nor will I recommend this location to anyone else. I will tell them to stay away. I am sure I now have roach eggs on my belongings that will now need to be paced in the garage and bug-bombed, including my car. I am not exaggerating.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Really enjoyed our stay and close to everything.
- 5/5
Older, but very well maintained property. Very nice and helpful customer service. It’s a shame the restaurant was closed, but there is no shortage of options in town, close by.
- 4/5
One night stay on an extended business trip
- 3/5
Grounds are kept reasonably well considering the lodge is scheduled to close permanently in about two-three months.
- 4/5
The property is old and apparently not getting regular upkeep. However, the showers have excellent water pressure and hot water for an old place.
- 4/5
The bathroom tile was a little slippery, and the grab bar in the shower was not well placed. I was in a cast, so this was a pretty important feature for me. Otherwise, i like the property and will likely be back.
- 5/5
Old school
- 5/5
it was very peaceful!
- 4/5
The noise level in the room was significant throughout our stay as doors slam a bit too hard and seemingly shake the building. Thin walls make for some interesting laughs and sometimes covering of the ears... LOL. The room was clean but slightly outdated.
- 2/5
Very outdated motel. Unclean carpets, dirty furniture and walls. Mattresses were soggy. Rooms are musty and many smell of cigarettes.
- 5/5
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. I especially appreciated the concierge’s local recommendations—they helped me make the most of my visit.
- 4/5
The property is in a really beautiful location and the room was great for the price point, but the building is a little bit rundown
- 4/5
Gorgeous site in Los Gatos. Quiet and beautiful.
- 3/5
Just an old tired place. Sad to see it go.
- 5/5
Quaint older property with character. I will stay here again. Although, it's older, people and personality make it worth it!
- 5/5
Quiet and confortable place !
- 5/5
This time something felt better. It was very comfortable and pleasant!
- 3/5
Bed was comfortabole. NO vent fan in the bathroom and air condioner was very loud so we didn't use it.
- 3/5
There was no vent fan in the bathroom and the air conditioner made a terrible racket Could not use the shower bevaue the steam was o intense and I have asthma. Quite a lot of noise one night from parking area.
- 5/5
Great location, nice parking and great staff and very quiet area
- 1/5
The a.c didnt not work good at all, really hot in room,i try call room service to get clean towel noone ever answer the phone and not one time did they clean my room and free breakfast was nothing!!! No coffee or anything
- 5/5
I really like the quiet area and beds.
- 5/5
For about $140 a night, I felt I got really got value for my money. It was within walking distance of downtown Los Gatos, plus easy access to hiking and running trails.
- 5/5
Nice place.
- 3/5
It's clear that the property manager has decided to let things decline and not fix anything since they will be closing permanently in a few months. The hotel/motel rooms are clean, but the floors, furniture, walls and bathrooms are very outdated and old. You can literally hear every person in your block of rooms. It's just sad to see it in such decline, but I don't expect things to change since it'll all be bulldozed in Sept.
- 4/5
The rooms were fine, but not as nice as they appeared online. Provided breakfast was good. 10-15 minute walk to downtown Los Gatos across several major streets and freeway on ramps. Not very walkable.
- 5/5
Older but well kept
- 5/5
Check in is always amazing!
- 2/5
Room was dirty, sheets had some sort of makeup or dirt all over them, the whole building smelled like smoke and the walls are very thin so you can hear adjacent room TV’s or other noise very easy. Get what you pay for with the lower price I guess. Disappointed in the stay all in all.
- 4/5
It is a lovely setting if you get the garden view. AC was very loud.
- 5/5
Clean & good location.
- 5/5
Beautiful scenery and very nice experience
- 4/5
Great location in Los Gatos.
- 4/5
Good location, quiet, beautiful setting.
- 3/5
Old property with things not working.
- 4/5
Clean, safe, convenient. It fit my needs.
- 5/5
Nice grounds. Rooms smell great and temperature was perfect-- not too warm or cool. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again.
- 5/5
The breakfast was really good and the staff was very friendly. If the bar and grill was open it would have been really nice
- 5/5
Had a great time, staff was very Accommodating and let us check in earlier. Clean and well kept
- 5/5
It’s clean and friendly. Sad the restaurant wasn’t ooen
- 5/5
This is a beautiful old property all the rooms open onto a central park like area with the pool birds are singing in the trees in the morning, even though you’re in the middle of a busy area at a distance you can hear the high school kids practicing their football rooms are comfortable and clean. Very nice feeling great Staff
- 4/5
Beautiful setting plunked in the middle of high school and lots of traffic
- 4/5
The property was beautiful! The rooms were outdated, and don't get me started on the shower, which was below my head and I'm 5'6"! Has a lot of potential to be a great place to stay if they'd update their rooms.
- 4/5
Good option for price. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Clean property and room. Nice staff
- 2/5
The good: you get hot water, a comfortable bed, working fridge/microwave and air conditioning/heater. The bad: Bugs on ceilings in bathroom, no remote control for TV, broken sliding door to garden, broken closet doors, paint chipping all over. The free breakfast was just sad - no staff to assist and replenish food, no plates. There was still 1 hr left and no hot food. We decided to leave.
- 2/5
Very dated property. Rooms are generally tired and decorated in the ‘80s. Water pressure was terrible.
