Cambria Hotel St Petersburg-Madeira Beach Marina

The property is across the street from the beach and on the rooftop you can see a great sunset over the water. The hotel has 2 bars that serve food, as well as providing entertainment. The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable. The only thing negative were the servers at the rooftop bar. They were slow and didn't check on us at all. The bartender was great.

I’m a local; I actually like about 8 minutes away. I would do it again.

To date the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Amazing location, extremely clean and up to date.

There was not much floor space to open our suitcases or move around the room easily. The bathroom was large but provided minimal shelving to put our toiletries. The room would have been sufficient for maybe 2 people but definitely not conducive for two adults and two minors. The restaurant upstairs was good and the kids enjoyed the pool area. The chairs were a little dirty.

The hotel and staff were great! The room was excellent! The valet team were quick… but there was an incident with my car. Still waiting to hear from their insurance company.

Clean quite rooms.

I took a short vacation with my 8 yo. We loved the rooftop pool w/ views of the marina and the beach. The beach is about two blocks away, across a busy street. It definitely seemed like more of an adult atmosphere but the location can’t be beat. It was great and you can take the trolley anywhere on the main street, Gulf Blvd. We walked along the beach almost the whole way to Jon’s Pass Boardwalk. Rode jet skis, ate awesome food and took the trolley back to enjoy the sunset at the pool 👩‍🍳. I’m already looking at coming back!

The roof top pool deck was lovely. The food was surprisingly good too! The water in the pool was very cloudy so couldn’t enjoy the pool.

It was a great hotel, food was good, great location, room was cleaned n comfortable bed. Upstairs restaurant needs more of a variety of food. The food was good just not much variety and a little expensive.

Roof top pool is a great place to relax. Rooms are clean and rooms are linked to central ac system. Quiet and comfortable.

We arrived after 2am after a long day of traveling. The overnight clerk was exceptional. Room was clean and comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Nice location to everything around it. Staff was friendly and very helpful, valet dudes were awesome and very friendly. Easy to get your car whenever you want! The over night parking around there is not cheap so recommend to just use the valet if you have a car! The bathrooms had scum all around the edges looked kind of dirty where the bathrooms should be the cleanest! Floors had spots on it around the couches floors need detailing as that’s is where a guest should feel comfortable walking around barefoot in the room!

The place looks brand new. Clean as a whistle. I was miffed at the $25 parking fee until I learned municipal parking is $4 an hour and there is virtually no on street parking. Tow away zones seemed to be everywhere. If they didn’t have a parking fee beach goers would fill the hotels garage leaving guests stranded.? My room had a balcony and the common areas have tables and work stations galore. There is a lobby bar. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. All guest parking is valet. I give it 4 stars.

Location is close to the beach and the roof top pool is pretty at sunset the only thing is there’s construction going on currently across the street so be aware that the view is not the pretty at the moment but once construction is done I can’t wait to come back and see the new view

It wasn't clean, other people's hair everywhere. The fridge is just a cooler and doesn't refrigerate. The toilet seat was damaged and u could see urine stains on the top. I don't like the mandatory valet, the waiting to get to my car, the not being able to simply go back and forth for mistakenly left items. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. I didn't get much sleep. The pool closing early even tho there is adequate lighting and obviously no lifeguard needed so that doesn't make sense to me. Didn't get to fully enjoy. The cable was crappy. Wasn't initially given wifi.

The only thing I would say is the roof top pool area. That could be touch up a little. The pool could be little cleaner but I understand it is not so easy to keep it clean and organized.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was excellent, check-in process was quick and staff was extremely helpful and professional. Rooms were bigger than expected and very comfortable. We had a room with a balcony with a view overlooking the beach. Rooftop pool and bar were excellent with a great menu. Only thing I would recommend for the hotel to change would be the shower heads, felt like getting hit with needles the way the water came out. Otherwise this hotel was excellent and I hope to stay there again.

This hotel is the best in the area! Such a great experience! The bed was cozy as a cloud, room was clean and spacious, the view was a little uninspiring because of the construction, but we could see the ocean. Food at the pool was great and the quality at the restaurant was good too! We will be back!

I visit the Gulf Beaches several times a month from April through October. The Cambria is by far the BEST hotel on the beach! N/A

There is two bars,one rooftop with pool and food, the cuban is excellent ,the other is in the main dining room and lobby and as a bonus there is a tiki bar with food on ground all great!!! Plus you are walking distance to beach and other restaurants and bars!!!

The property was very nice, well appointed, very clean .. with a great rooftop bar and pool, and an attached restaurant on ground level which was great as well .. my only complaint was that you couldn’t ask for your room to be made up until you were there 3 days , even though at check-in you were told that cleaning the room was “ upon request”. The bed should be able to be made and bathroom tidied up with fresh towels should be accommodated considering the price of the stay .

Staff was awesome! Roof top bar amazing! My only complaint was the Valet parking. The Valets were great too but I just wasn't expecting to to have to do that everytime I came and went. It's not a high end hotel and they should let customers park their own cars.

The breakfast we purchased was incredible. The location is absolutely perfect! The beach is right across the street, and have everything around that you need! Everything was great. All I can think of is our trash kept getting full considering they only come every three days to clean, I believe. But nothing to really complain over!

This place is a gem! Awesome pool, clean, walking distance to beach, convenient for amenities and a fun mini golf down the road, also a big gift store and Walgreens if need sunscreen, beach things etc. great stay for the price!!

This hotel is a block from Mad beach and with its amazing views makes it an awesome place to stay. We would stay here again for sure.

The hotel room was clean an quiet. No breakfast provided. There is a place on the 3rd floor to buy breakfast,& dinner. Additionally there is a packed and noisy bar on the ground floor for lunch and dinner. Guests are required to park valet for $25 a day. Area has heavy traffic and is very noisy &. crowded. Hotel is not on the beach.

The way the staff handled the selection of room for each guests. Even after calling ahead and letting the manager know we needed ADA.

Proximity to the beach, and both the downstairs and upstairs restaurant bars/restaurants make it a nice weekend. My only complaint was a lie at the front desk at check-in. Was given a double bed with my gf instead of king. Went back down to the desk and one woman said because I booked through Expedia, they were all out of kings. I had even called 10 days early to request a water facing room. When I “insisted” another woman stepped in and gave us the king room 2 doors down from the previous one. Two completely different responses from two employees standing next to each other. One with a lie and “tough luck.” The other with exactly what I booked and paid for in about 60 seconds.

Proximity to the beach

Great hotel right across from the beach, also a beautiful infinity type pool on the rooftop where you can also get beverages, food and it’s a beautiful large space to relax and visit. It has great lunge chairs also up there. It has valet parking which is 25 a day and they are so helpful and great service. They have an air purifier/scent machine plugged in so it smells amazing also :) Will be coming back for sure!!

The staff were amazing. The location was great, and the pool/bar was lovely as well. There were only a few negatives. The hotel only has 2 elevators, so we waited quite a bit every time. Also, the sound carried a lot from rooms down the hall because the room doors have a gap under them.

The description in the web site for the room was not the same , there was nothing in the room to make coffee. For the ocean view you have to go to the roof top there is basically nothing in that area only residential apartments

Beautiful property with friendly staff. Loved our room and fun lighting. The under the bed lighting and vanity light with barn door in the bathroom were great bonuses.We also enjoyed the roof top for sunset.

The refrigerators should be a larger size, they are hard to get to and don't have enough space to store much!

I was very happy with my stay. Yes it’s a little aged, but it was still worth it. The atmosphere was truly relaxing and peaceful. The staff was very nice and it was near a lot of places walking distance. I enjoyed every evening on the rooftop watching the sunset. I will definitely use them again.

For the price it

Cons: 1) some of the rooms look out to a courtyard, ours was on the same floor as the courtyard, that night some kids were playing with a volleyball in the courtyard until 11pm 2) only valet parking available 3) half the lights didn't work in the room

This trip was for our 1st wedding anniversary, when we checked into our room all we could hear was the loud air handler we called the front desk and were told this was the only room available because the hotel was at capacity, needless to say we did not get any sleep while here and not for a fun romantic reason but because of the insane level of noise from the ac unit, they did give us parking off - which doesnt make sense as to why we would even be charged parking since we were hotel guests. The fridge didnt work and there was no use complaining since we could not move rooms so the top tier of our wedding cake was lost all in all this was a horrible trip, we are local and we planned this trip for 6 months and were severely disappointed. I work in the area around the hotel in a tourism industry, not only will I never stay again at this hotel I wont be recommending it to any of my customers. family or friends. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend.

Staff were nice

Our room did not have a balcony as described in the room choice. Parking is only by valet and is $25 per day. The hot tub has no jets, just warm water. Elevators are slow. Rooftop sunset was nice, except the adjacent bar open to pool area was doing karaoke during sunset views - not the right music for ambience.

My weeklong stay was most enjoyable. The staff are friendly, the kitchen is excellent, the room clean and the bed very comfortable. I will likely stay there again.

Room was ok, but not great. First room had broken heating system. Changed rooms to working one. Furniture and carpet could use refreshing. Restaurant definitely needs makeover.

Check in process and parking are tricky. You’ll end up paying for valet parking because it’s the only thing that makes sense if you are unfamiliar with the are, parking locations, and where to check in.

The view from our room was amazing. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay again.

The bedding was spotless as well as the entire room. Beds were comfortable and they have EXCELLENT water pressure for a delightful shower. Fluffy towels, small fridge and microwave too!

The pool, style of room, and location. Valet team was great! The bed was more on the firm side and a lot of things were “loose” and falling apart. The one thing I do not recommend is the pull out coach it was like sleeping on the floor for my daughter.

Everyone I interacted with was friendly and courteous. Kay and Juanita at the front desk greeted me with champagne upon check-in, Cliff at the 3rd floor restaurant/bar always had a smile on his face. The breakfast servers during the week seemed as if they did not want to be there. They were not quick, efficient or good with their service. They were slow/forgetful to provide utensils, refill coffee, etc. Overall, the good outweighed the bad. Obviously there is always room for improvement, but we would definately stay at the Cambria agan and recommend to anyone.

There is a lot to like about this hotel, and some things that are not so great. The property itself is nice: located in between the bay and the ocean, it's not directly situated on either, but has views and access to both. The rooftop pool and bar are quite excellent. The rooms are clean and well-appointed We encountered numerous excellent staff persons throughout our visit. Now, the not so good: the area is quite loud. Nearby bars, the adjacent post office, and parallel roadway all created some type of noise and different times, sometimes in the early morning and sometimes later in the evening. The area experienced a hurricane in 2024, and the impact is still evident. The immediate area has some good amenities, but there are also plenty of vacant and boarded up buildings.

Room was very clean when we arrived. 3 days later when housekeeping cleaned they di no sweeping, which it needed. The best parts of the stay were your fabulous valet attendants, and Loralei at the poolside bar. Loralei was left alone the day after Xmas and had to service 35-50 patrons for drinks and food service. She deserves a raise as she was alone until around 230pm and everyone was very very happy

Sack breakfast good. No pool time

The room was clean and spacious, but our shower took 10-15 minutes to warm up and even then, the temperature was still only luke warm. We were unable to take HOT showers in the 4 days we were there. The roof top pool and hot tub were nice, and the bar staff was great. However, I witnessed two semi-drunk guests engaging in sexual activity on the day bed next to me, so that ruined my appetite. Lastly, on our final night, there was very loud music coming from somewhere that lasted until 2am. Not sure where it was coming from, so I can't necessarily blame it on the hotel, but it was enough to keep us awake.

Our room was not clean. The floor looked unswept and I hate to say it but I don't think they changed the sheets. There was orange something on the sheets but we didn't realize until morning and had already slept in the bed. So that was very disappointing. The front desk lady was 5 star and so were the vallet guys overall 4 out 5 expy

Great location. Not on ocean, but a very short walk across street and you are there. Free champagne at checkin. No free breakfast but the food is delicious and VERY reasonable. Rooms are very clean, as is property. Lots to walk to right around the property

Loved it! Staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were looking for a balcony to watch the dolphins and they found us a room! The roof top is a must! Go up and watch the sunset and you also get a sunset shot, also try the drink in a coconut. So delicious! Also, beach is very close walk. You can rent chairs & umbrella on the beach! Check out Farbotta’s so good! Also went to the beach bar, all within walking distance. We will definitely recommend to friends.

We love Mad beach and have been staying in a condo for the month of January. To go in the Summer and stay here was perfect. So many drink/eat/beach/pool options were perfect. Highly recommend.

The hotel is stunning with lots of amenities. Beds were cozy and the room was nice. The pool was warm and felt amazing! Hot tub was down. Mold on the shower curtain and we had to ask for our room to be tended to. Otherwise the best part were the valet guys! Food was good but breakfast stops at 10:30 am

Our toilet clogged for no reason, it took 3 requests to have towels brought up. Food at rooftop bar was awful. They don't clean your room daily. Ick

The waitstaff at the bar were non attentive and seemed annoyed to be working. The food was decent. The chicken wings were very overcooked. Our hotel room had a tv that didn’t wok and their only solution was to move us at 930pm. They didn’t even attempt to fix it. So I assume they were aware of the problem already. Plus the room was extremely warm. The AC barely worked. This is our second time to this hotel and our first time was incredible, but it has definitely gone down in appearance, Service, and all around care of the hotel

The pool was very unique! The only thing I didn’t like was there was too much chlorine in either the pool or the hot tub because my bathing suit discolored. It went from a beautiful blue to gray.

The staff were amazing and sadly that’s all that’s great about this hotel for the price we paid. Check-in was fast and easy, and we were offered a glass of Prosecco. No complaints there. On way to the room the carpets were dirty food and other items all over the hotel, garbage cans were always full around the elevators, obviously they must be short on cleaning staff or just badly managed. The restaurant chairs had food on which I found strange as if you were going to clean and reset the table. You would also wipe down the chairs? i cannot fault the restaurant waiter staff and the quality of the food was good for the price. pool area was clean the bar staff were extremely friendly.The room itself was a suit, the couch looked well used and marked, and not inviting at all. There was a standup fan in the lounge area, which we found odd but obviously they may have had air-conditioning problems in the past. The kitchen area was clean.The bedroom was clean. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The bed linen was nice. There was only one remote for the TVs, which only worked on the TV in the lounge area so we could not get the bedroom TV working. And we were not really in the room much so it really did not affect us. The walls are paper thin we could hear everything from the room next to us.The windows are very thin very hard to sleep with noise outside. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible to put make up on. I have more to write but not enough room here

Nice hotel but no much to do around

The location was convenient for me, as I was renovating a house nearby. And it's rooftop bar is great - the view and vibe was terrific. But the neighborhood is abandoned buildings, and the surrounding area hasn't recovered from the hurricanes last year. Dining choices are limited...

The rooftop is amazing. The views are worth every penny if you wanna go out you can but you could clearly stay there and enjoy the evening. Sunsets are gorgeous.

Our stay at this property was great. The rooftop has great rocking chairs to watch the sunset. A small touch that goes a long way. The rooftop also had karaoke and great drinks and food at the bar. Our room was very spacious, with a balcony and great view of the marina. I would come back just to stay here and spend a weekend at the beach right across the street from this property. The slight draw back was the $25 for valet parking when there are tons of outside parking on the street but it did not ruin our weekend. The valet staff were great and always had our car ready. The connecting Tiki restaurant on the first floor is great for food and drinks as well. Nothing bad to say about this property. The area around it seemed to still be recovering from the hurricanes but there were other places you could easily walk to.

The guest service was very good. the roof top bar service was not so good. in a 5th floor room, you could still hear the late night music from the roof top bar. I would go back, but ask for a different room location.

The hotel was great especially the roof top restaurant and pool area with the amazing view! It was in walking distance of the beach and stores. There was a cute little Tiki bar up the street called Saltwater Hippie which also had a great vibe! My husband and I also met the owner of the hotel who was very friendly. We will definitely be going back for future vacations

Our first time staying there. Property was beautiful. Staff very friendly. Location if perfect for beach, food, and entertainment.

No parking and have to pay extra for parking. Views from my room not that great. I’m disappointed!

Excellent experience

Great location!

The location was steps from a public beach and immaculate. We had wonderful service in room and at the roof top bar and pool. The live music was spot on and the free sunset shots a bonus. There is no negative with trolly stops in either direction on the main drag. We missed the launch of the restaurant attached to the location, but so jealous of those of you who got to enjoy it.

Gave me the wrong room without enough beds. I was told parking would be taken off but was later charged again. Elevators took 15 min. Bathrooms were closed, rollaway beds where terrible

Great property. The staff is great as well. We spent most of our time at the rooftop bar. Sabrina and Loralei were some of the best.

Great cost benefit, super pleasant hotel very good and fast service, small but cozy and clean room, the pool area is very fun and has a great view!!

The only thing I didn't care for was that I couldn't self park. I don't want to bother an attendant everytime i need to go to my vehicle for something.

i loved this hotel. the room was excellent. great view of the ocean. room was clean and spacious.the beds are so comfortable you will sleep like a baby. the staff is top notch. always willing to help and accommodate you. their restaurant offers various options with reasonable pricing and the food was amazing. plus the bartender is a true mixologist. try his cucumber martini. you will not be disappointed. delish!!. the rooftop is amazing. the views are outstanding. the sunset 360 views are so beautiful. loved the infinity pool. it was a great way to just relax, have a drink small bite and with the cabanas you were comfy. .the staff was great. i was there for karaoke and i had a ball. if you book this hotel i promise you they will come thru 100 percent. cant wait to book my next trip there.

They would have gotten a 5 star but there was what seemed like a hidden fee for parking at $25 a Night. Hotels.com made it vague stating it was $25 for valet on one line then stated there was additional parking onsite leading folks to believe that paying for the valet was the option and that there was additional free parking for those who did not choose to utilize that service. FYI valet is mandatory and you will be charged $25 a night regardless. Otherwise its a wonderful place to stay!

The rooms looked like they had been remodeled and were great, however there were minor problems, peeled up wall paper- water damage LVP in the bathroom and we noticed on the last day that the toilet much have a slow leak because there was a puddle of water behind the toilet. That being said- rooftop pool and bar was super cool, valet was very quick, and we enjoyed our stay a lot!

The property is extremely nice and in close proximity to everything. The room and amenities are nice as well. The staff is a bit strange but would highly recommend for the price and location.

We had a wonderful stay in a very nice room. The only negative was the elevators, which were very slow. It took forever, and everyone we spoke to had the same complaint, even the staff!

This was our fourth year staying at the Cambria. It has become our home away from home because we visit this area every year. The manager, Stephen, is wonderful and friendly, always attentive to the needs of his guests. He also helped the locals when two hurricanes hit the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. To us, the location is perfect. It may not be on the beach, but it's a short walk with great views of the water. We absolutely love the rooftop pool and views, as well as the third floor deck that overlooks the intercoastal water. The views are spectacular! It's an easy walk to CVS, Dollar Tree, and Winn Dixie for anything you may need. The valet parking, although an additional cost, is very convenient, and the people working valet are top notch. The weekend had entertainment on the roof with karaoke while we were there, but when we were ready for bed, it's as quiet as can be, and that's with the Saltwater Hippie bar just down the road. It's enjoyable to sit on the balcony and listen to the live music at the bar as well. I almost hate to be honest, because I don't want The Cambria to fill it up too much for our next visit! Such a great place to stay!

One of the best stays I’ve had in a while everyone was so nice. Kim was amazing during check in and made sure my stay was comfortable and I had everything I need!

I’ve stayed in many nice hotels over the years. The entire staff from the general manager, Steven, assistant general manager, Kim, the bartender, Cliff down to the valet are the kindest friendliest accommodating professional staff I’ve ever seen. I would highly highly recommend this hotel. They have entertainment in the pool bar on the roof every night, and a good restaurant in the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Close to beach and rec park where we had a softball tournament. Didnt expect to pay $25/night for parking though

Great experience

We did not get two beds in our room as requested. The room was dirty. There was a random pill under the desk, a spill mark/stain on the pull out bed, no linens for it either. The property was very disappointing this year.

Great stay

Hotel was nice, staff was courteous. They need more elevators, there’s only 2 and they were very slow. The liquor menu was awful and the drinks were just okay. I ordered grouper bites & expected them to be fresh but they were frozen and disgusting. I don’t get it, u can buy grouper on every corner.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff was super friendly. Hotel was super clean. Fab place was the roof top pool and bar. Loved the sunsets from the rooftop. This is my new fav hotel.

The pool area was well spaced & the provided towels were clean. The hot tub was a comfortable temperature but the jets didn’t work. I do wish they would make the hot tub adults only because the kids, although well behaved, basically took it over and it was hard to relax. The bar area was great & my drink was delicious! The lobby area was very clean & the restaurant area was well spaced out. We had breakfast and that was delicious too! All in all I had a great time & if I go back to Madeira Beach I would love to stay here again!

We loved our stay, all the staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. I can’t forgot to mention about the amazing pool area and the restaurant the food was delicious during our dinner and breakfast.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Cambria, both times were for our wedding. Anniversaries! Last night was our 20th. They had a complementary bottle of sparkling wine, two glasses and a beautiful card. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Everyone was amazing!

The beach was great. Not many dining options in walkable distance but staff was great and hotel itself was nice.

Amazing view! Loved our balcony and of course the roof top view with pool, hot tub and full bar with dining.

We love everything about the cambria. We are residents of Madeira Beach and always book the Cambria for our staycations. The best view, and bar staff is always on point!
