We loved the larger room options. We stayed here before before we left for a cruise and was about a 20 min drive to the port!

Pool area and sauna were great! Fold out couch not great, flimsy and sloped downwards 3". Everything else about our stay was quite good! Was able to find a free space open to park on street, otherwise underground parking for $10 was an option. Staff friendly and helpful.

I booked to stay at The Wave and when I arrived I was informed that there was no room for me and I was moved into their neighbouring property The Pacific. The property was considerably more worn from the outside and inside there were no facilities and the rooms were average with a loud and hardly working air conditioner and the towels were so old and worn that the white was grey. The staff were not helpful with no explanation as to why my booked room was unavailable. The hotel was very noisey with the room above me housing a tap dancing team who clearly enjoyed their practice until 2am and then the cleaning staff woke me before 7am whilst yelling outside my room which appeared to be housed next to the cleaning supply room. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience and would not book either hotel in the future.

The staff was very kind and helped me with my booking issue. It was my own fault, but they were helpful and understanding - something you don’t see a lot of anymore.

Property is showing its age and due for renovation. Walls very thin…you could hear folks talking through the walls very easily. Towels old and dingy.

Nice Staff, good location. Parking was on a side street and below building. They charge to park below building so I parked for free on the street.

There are two good things about this hotel: the parking and the pool. The parking garage is great, convenient, and only $10 per day. The pool area is nice and clean. When we first arrived and saw the room, I was pleased. It was really spacious. However, it did not take long for me to regret this booking. First of all, one of the beds was EXTREMELY loud when lying on, sitting on, or when you moved at all. This noise woke everyone up several times a night. The beds were also very uncomfortable, as they were as hard as a rock, and I could feel a spring when lying down. The shower pressure was terrible, and the shower itself looked gross. The shower also leaked A LOT into the bathroom floor. Water stayed on the bathroom floor, either from the shower or from the toilet. We couldn't tell which one was causing it or if it was both. There were four of us in this room. Four were booked. They gave us 3 towels. When we requested more, we were told, "There are towels in your room." We said there are not enough. They reluctantly gave us one more. Speaking of towels...they were also really bad. They were very thin, worn out, and did not dry you off well at all. Believe me when I say that I would not leave a bad review for a hotel unless it was BAD BAD. I am leaving this because I wish I had read a review like this before booking.

Has a parking garage with a $15 parking tag for you stay. The room was spacious with a more firm mattress. Good area if you want to be near the beach. Does smell like smoke even though it's a none smoking property.

There were no hand towels provided. The washcloths that were there, were a dark color so you couldn't tell how clean they were. They were very worn out and old looking. Thankfully, I bring disposable washcloths whenever I travel. It was a cheap place to stay before an early morning flight out of LAX. But I would not stay there again. The best part was the Mongolian BBQ restaurant practically next door. The food was amazing.

Looks recently renovated. Room are clean and functional. Upgrades were underway in the parking garage, where the spaces were generous compared to other properties nearby--a number of which I've stayed at while visiting my nearby grandkids. Front desk staff were pleasant and responsive. Two very nice stays, as I visited other relatives in the desert before spending one more day in LA at the hotel.

The food at the hotel was disappointing. The breakfast options consisted mainly of cereal and bread that appeared to be expired. The only positive thing about this place was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and food quality.

Budget price, premier vicinity to beach and staff that works hard to keep the place up to standard

Exceptional

The staff was very friendly, the room was spotless and serviced every day, and the parking was very convenient and free! The property is a bit dated (old A/C unit and in-room refrigerator) and while the room was large, it was sparsely decorated and had a strange little couch. I was busing from early morning until well after dinner with nearby family and obligations, so it was perfect for my purposes. While I didn't use the pool, several guests did and seemed to enjoy it. It is also closely located to many shops and restaurants.

No daily housekeeping like any other hotel we had to ask multiple times to have our room cleaned we stayed one week and barely was coffee restock and cups. Breakfast is awful no protein all junk food.

Parking was easy. Room was large enough for our family of 5. The only complaint is that one of the beds was incredibly squeaky any time you moved. But they were easy to get additional towels and housekeeping was nice. Overall, I’d stay here again, minus the squeaky bed.

Nicely remodeled hotel. Be aware parking is $10/day. Breakfast has Waffles, cereal, bagels, pastries, juice, cuties and apples. No eggs or protein. Good place to stay. 7 minute drive to the beach.

The room had trash items, that were missed but was otherwise clean. The concierge was unavailable at checkin. The mattress was lumpy, hard and slanted.

Parking was good and hotel is close to the beach The room had no Kleenex, hand towels, or bath mat. Bathroom had nice shower but the curtain was not centered and made the shower small. Room itself was a decent size and clean.

Our room was clean, but the hotel ran out bath towels. We asked for an extra pillow, but we did not get though the staff said that he would.

Place was amazing! Perhaps maybe not the beds so much. My friends and I had a great laugh for it though. Sit on the bed, roll in the bed, move in the bed, you’re gonna be transported to a cookie sheet becoming thunder like when you were back in grade school. Other than that, it was a great stay. Staff were friendly and check in was easy.

Clean, bright comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Just don't base you stay on the breakfast. I would stay there again without hesitation and if needed, Starbucks is across the street.

Room was big and newly renovated. Great neighborhood safe to park on the street. Theres a delicious Hawaiian place next door. Target down the street, minutes to the beach. 8 minutes from LAX on same road. Staff was awesome. Excellent deal, will stay here again 🙌

I was greeted with a smile when I walked in. I had questions with my reservation and it was handled immediately. Last minute request for early check in. It was available with a very reasonable fee. The room was large, clean. Tv worked, pool was clean, plenty of chairs. I grew up in that area. I will stay there again.

I had the Jacuzzi suite, it was awesome, clean, the only balcony, and it was a awesome stay thank you.

Is a nice motel, well situated close to Manhattan Beach with a pool free breakfast and a smoking area. I'll book it again.

Staff were nice and helpful

Our only issues were that the bed has a metal “skirt” that would make a LOUD noise anytime anything so much as bumped it. Including the first I sat down on the bed. The supplied towels were particularly thin. And for some reason, not replaced after we had showered. We had to request new towels on our third night there.

Appreciated the charging ports next to the bed. We really liked the plantation shutters in the room vs curtains. The connecting suite with an extra bathroom made this perfect for our family of 6. My feet got very dirty walking on the tiled floors in the room. At breakfast, everything was running out, and no one was restocking. Lots of people came after me and there was hardly anything left. There was only skim milk for cereal. No other option. Should at least have 1 other option like 2%. I had to put coffee creamer in my cereal just to make it edible because the skim milk tasted like water. Ha ha! There was no drain stopper in our bathroom and I lost my stick eyeshadow lid down the drain!

I stayed for 2 nights and never received cleaning services even though i left my do not disturb tag off the door. I had to ask for more towels at the front desk. Also, there was some sort of sticky residue on one of the chairs but didn't care much about it as i knew i was not going to use it. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AND RECCOMEND IT TO NO ONE. I WILL REPORT THEM TO THE BBB.

I stayed here for one night and had a really good experience. The room was clean, and I was impressed that even the outdoor hallways were well-maintained, which is not something you see often. The pricing was also very reasonable for the quality of the stay. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t mind staying here again. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Staff attempted to fix it, but the issue persisted, so we had to switch rooms. In the second room, one of the washrooms had black mold on the ceiling. There were also no towel racks or shelves, so towels had to be placed on the toilet after showering, which wasn’t ideal. The pool chairs were old, stained, and uncomfortable, and the pool itself was cloudy and too cold to swim in. Breakfast was disappointing, consisting mainly of dry cereal and a waffle maker. The coffee wasn’t fresh and had clearly been sitting for hours. On top of that, the staff at the front desk struggled with English, which created a noticeable language barrier and made communication difficult. For the price we paid, the overall services and facilities did not match the cost. Parking was an additional fee as well.

Parking was not free as stated on Expedia also my room was missing the smoke detector, wires were hanging from the ceiling. The A/C was leaking water to the inside room floor. The pool had a green wall that looked like some type algae. Other than that everything was ok.

You get what you pay for. Half decent location with a few nearby restaurants. A good 20 mins to walk to Manhattan beach for good restaurants and bars. Some people say this place is clean...it isn't. The floors are clean but the walls in our room (220) had all manner of stains that were simply not attended to. The front staff are not in any way customer focused....it's a 'no can do' attitude. Breakfast is simple and adequate...so long as you avoid the mouldy fruit that was on show for the three consecutive days we were there. it was cheap but i'd pay more to avoid in the future. Parking is charged at $10 per day.

Stay here only if you are desperate. Because the water from the sink stunk so much, we bought bottled water to brush our teeth and decided not to shower there because we didn't want our skin or senses to absorb the water. We checked out early because a leak from the room above created a large puddle on the floor, luckily missing the bed. We decided to eat breakfast at the Starbucks across the street because we didn't trust the cleanliness of the hotel and this was before the leak that flooded our room. To boot, the front desk staff is an unfriendly sort.

Need to have extra amenities like towels and pillows, 2 pillows for a king bed is not good. And also towels are tiny and too thin. Blanket on the bed is not warm. Please stop cleaning with fabulouso or whatever strong smell it gave me a headache and my boyfriend also said the smell lingered and was too strong from the cleaning products. I worked for hotels for 10 years nice and budget ones but what makes the difference is customer service. Staff there is just not friendly or accommodating please do not do hospitality if you aren’t going to be hospitable and friendly

Check in staff welcomed us with a big smile. Room was clean but daily room service was poor. They only changes towels and take trashes out daily. No cleaning, no making beds during our stay. Breakfast was ok. Great location with free parking.

Loved our stay! I was skeptical at first traveling so far with 4 kids. However the hotel was clean and spacious. Will definitely be staying again on our next trip out!!

The room was clean, the workers where nice and willing to help and answer questions, parking was good, towels, sunscreen and pool toys provided by the hotel. Only issue we had, the room didn't have enough towels on the first day and the waffle maker at the lunch room wasn't working. We will stay at this hotel again.

When I got there the front desk attendant was rude and could not understand him and he raised his voice

The room was decently clean but very spacious. My issue was with the shower where I could see a couple pieces of hair on the walls which to me says they didn’t clean it well. Other than that everything else was fairly clean. No issue with the reception staff. HOWEVER, My main reason for losing a star is because the housekeeping staff was extremely loud in the morning, I’m talking 7-9, and the walls are not thick so I could hear EVERY word! Breakfast is offered but I did not eat it but still gave a star for the choice. Luckily there’s also a gelsons literally right across the street! They also provide a mini fridge which was really nice to have. I would suggest this place if you’re literally only gonna be there to sleep, get ready and then leave. If your a person like me who likes to chill for a long time in their room, I would suggest another place. However, it’s very close to the beach and good for people traveling with a car since the provide free parking. Also my only other complaint is that the lights above the bed are connected to the outlet plug. So when I turn off the lights, my charging also stopped. Not a big deal but just a weird set up. Also my tv remote didn’t work at all which was annoying but not a big deal since I was only there one night. Would give this place an overall a 3.2/5.

Overall I enjoyed the experience. Although the first room that was checked out to us smelled like Tobacco. I was disappointed because my 3 month old was going to be in the room. They were nice enough to accommodate us to a different room within seconds. A lot of stores within walking distance. Starbucks across the street!

Hotel would not honour the rate agreed to with Expedia even with rate agreement provided to them. They insisted the rate is $50 higher and would not let us check in unless we pay the extra $50. They told us to call Expedia to sort it out. It took a couple off hours and still wasn’t resolved. Very frustrating

We asked about coffee and was advised that since breakfast was over in 5 mins, a fresh brew of coffee would not be made. Eventually staff made another pot; however, breakfast area was completely filthy Cereal spilled everywhere, trash over flowing, etc The mattress was worn out, springs were coming thru Children were swimming by 7am, screaming, crying with no adult supervision Overall I would not stay there again and would not recommend anyone else to stay there

Lovely room, free parking, air conditioning worked just fine and the room had a decent size mini fridge. Would absolutely stay again.

Really hard bed mattress. Not much isolation, you can hear everything. Besides that pretty clean. Breakfast was ok, just carbs missing eggs or ham.

The room was spacious and clean, but felt a little rundown. There was an issue with the key card not unlocking the door, and we needed to return to the lobby several times before the host finally came up to the room and sorted it out. We got one of the family suites on the second floor, and the room smelled strongly of chlorine due to the pool in the central courtyard that all rooms open towards. We turned on the bathroom fans and the room A/C units and eventually acclimated to it, but it was rather unpleasant. Beware the metal kick panel floor trim around the beds that other reviewers mentioned, you WILL end up kicking it constantly and it IS loud (but it's kinda hilarious the more it happens if you're prepared for it due to reviews!). For a family of 6 at that price point, it was suitable for a single night stay.

Room was updated and very clean! We got fresh towels daily and trash was taken out daily. We got there really late to check in but the front desk was very kind and helpful. Honestly I was very much pleased with our stay. We were five to the room so my husband and I had to share a bed with our son so we were a little crowded but nothing we couldn’t handle. We did not eat breakfast there as to we didn’t find many options there. There is a Dunkin’ and Starbucks literally walking distance. Also it was a very nice area, beach was a very short drive. If we go back I do plan on staying here again!

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. I guess you get what you pay for. The beds were super uncomfortable, killed our backs. The bed frame was some type of sheet metal that when bumped or kicked made a loud noise, and happened often. There was a tissue slot, empty. No tissues. No conditioner, so taking a shower made our hair feel gross, we had to go buy conditioner. We had 8 people in our family and they gave us 3 towels and 2 pool towels. The pool was too cold to go in, no hot tub, and the sauna didn’t get warm. They advertise roll out beds for an extra $20/night but when we requested one, we were just placed on hold and never got an answer (and we called and asked 3 different times). We also asked for extra pillows 4 different times and got told they didn’t have any more pillows. (The hotel was not busy so I'm really unsure how that would be possible). Each bed only had 2 pillows. There were 3 beds, so 6 pillows for the 8 of us. We had to sleep 4 in our bed, with our two youngest (5 and 10) with the 2 pillows. It was so miserable. Felt like sleeping on a rock. There were no black out curtains so you wake with the sun. There was a language barrier for most of the staff, so it was difficult to ask or request anything. It was just a terrible place to stay and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'll definitely never go back.

The first room the sink was plugged and dirty. The second room was not clean, the ceiling was in very rough shape with mold water leaking from somewhere.

Lady at front counter was rude and abrupt. Opened the door to our room and the smoke detector was beeping. After being told to remove it ourselves (we declined, it was hardwired), she came in and pulled the 3 wires out and took it out the room. Highly illegal in Australia? Thin floors, thin walls, zero water pressure in the shower, no rails to hang towels ( our clean bath towels were on top of the toilet, gross. Noisy air-conditioning (ours & other units), mattress was wrapped in plastic which made sleep very difficult. Checked reviews before booking......maybe we just got the dodgy room?

The mattress is so old I literally woke up with a Backache. I almost left in the Middle of the night when I woke up with a back pain. They were painting the building, how about investigating in the rooms instead. Awful. The front desk was mice though.

I received dirty towels and wash cloth. I was able to get clean one. Also the room back room had crack holes that needed to be sealed and painted. Management was nice though. Just update need to be better. Also a hold deposit was never mentioned on the website. Only to get there and it a $100 hold.

Room had a few bugs and one towel for myself and my partner. When going to request more I was told the washer/dryer wasn’t working at the moment which I didn’t mind. For our 3 night stay I had to go to the desk ever since our keycards would stop working at some point everyday, I was told that’s what the person who checked me in does(???) wasn’t too clear on that but again, I didn’t mind. Was a good stay, the only thing that kinda got on my nerves was that they were actively repainting the property and no notice was issued. When I left quickly and came back, I was met with a disgruntled painter who wouldn’t let me in the parking garage because he was painting (which was fine) but was forced to park at the hotel next to it. All was fine but just kind of annoying with no notice to the customers is all.

The staff was great. The matress was very hard. Pillows had no stuffing in them. The price was good, as we had 4 people. Next time I will bring my own blankets and pillows.

First thing is they are renovating and painting and the smell of paint was very strong. They gave us a room with a dirty comforter , no face towels and the. We they gave face towels they were dirty with spots as well…and lastly I went to get continental breakfast but there was nothing but cereal, a bagel and a waffle maker machine that was dirty and no curio for the waffles… I asked the front desk and was told this is complementary and if there is no curio that’s just what it is… and the front desk agent didn’t give any help to get more syrup accept looking below the syrup station in one cabinet. Then he looked at his phone and walked off . My experience staying here was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend to people I love. Def not worth the $98 a night . The pictures don’t match what you get when you arrive on property.

Beds are terrible. If you have a bad back do not waste your money. You feel every spring in the mattress, not to mention the frames have metal sheets across the bottom that is very loud when your foot hits it.

Great budget hotel with parking

The room was good. We really liked the basement parking. The maid service was inconsistent. One day they didn’t come at all and another day they didn’t give us towels. The water pressure in the shower was poor. Every day when we returned to the room the key wouldn’t work. So every day we had to get a new key. Breakfast was mediocre. Considering the price was so low, we did not have high expectations, so all in all the hotel worked out ok. The staff at the front desk was helpful.

Last night was horrible, they put someone in room above us in 107 & all we could hear ALL night was people walking back and forth in room. All night. Don’t get lower unit if u want to sleep.

They’re remodeling had paint everywhere. Everything was piled up really strong smell of paint, but we did have no problem getting our money back and the service was OK.

So here is the thing! The reviews had me sold but when I got there, the place was not in tip top shape at all. Meaning, the signs for the units were written on painters tape with sharper. I think it was undergoing maintenance or some renovations but there was so many workers through the weekend I went working. The morning was the worse as they started like at 8:00 in the mornin on a Saturday. There was a $20 parking pass fee as well, which I did not expect and had to pay if I wanted to safely store my car. Overall I would say look somewhere else if you want a nice stay, this isn’t the place.

I asked to extend my stay for another night because I needed to rest before a long road trip and they told me to book it on Expedia. I booked it and let them know and they said I could stay in the room. I hung up the Do NOT Disturb sign to take a nap. Next thing I know while I am sleeping they come banging on my door saying that they did not receive my reservation. I got upset and when they checked again my reservation was in the system. They told me to leave for getting upset so now I am looking for another place to stay last minute. Customer service by the manager, Kevin Patel, was terrible. Do not stay here because what they advertise or agree to by their word is not what they carry out in action. The beds are also very stiff and uncomfortable and the air conditioning is very loud. I had to sleep with headphones on. Also they tried to charge me for parking when that was not written out in Expedia. Breakfast is carb heavy, no eggs or meat or anything like that. They also do not provide water bottles. And they are going through construction with paint and materials and plastic bags hanging everywhere. Would not recommend being here.

The price you can’t beat for the location and the corner room was very large but there is a reason it is affordable. The room had a very strong room freshener that masked the smell of marijuana from other occupants. The bed was very hard I had to buy a foam pad to not feel the springs. The floor looked clean but my slippers had a film on the bottom. The parking was very convenient and the elevator was very responsive.

The room is good if you just need a place to stay overnight to stay warm, dry and get a shower. They do not have cribs(pack and play) so your baby is in bed with you or on roll a way bed. the staff is nice but some of outlets in room didn’t work and in family suit in order to use one of the outlets you have to allow this strobe party light to run which isn’t helpful if someone needs dark to sleep.

The room was filthy and smelled like feces with a strong cleaning chemical solution. It smelled so bad I could not sleep all night. The floors were sticky and slippery, I almost fell a few times. The bed was so old every time I got on it, it made a loud noise and I was afraid the springs would poke me. The breakfast was horrible, literally nothing. This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been in considering the price I paid. And I don’t usually ever leave a review. But I had to on this one. If I could, I would ask for a refund. Absolutely disgusting. Even a couple I met in the elevator complained and agreed with all of the above.

BEWARE when thinking of booking here. The hotel refused to give me back my full $100 deposit due to towels being damaged. That is not true. I only got $60 dollars back and was charged $40 for towels that were not even damaged. I asked the front desk to provide me with proof of evidence of these damaged towels and they have not gotten back to me. We stayed in the King Spa Suit, Room 206. Be warned that the room does not look like what they are advertising in the photo. They completely remodeled and havent updated the photos on expedia. That is false advertising that i did not sign up for. I paid around $415 for 3 nights and didn't get what i was offered. But i guess you get what you paid for, right? My girlfriend accidentally dropped her eye drops and they rolled under the couch in the room. I pulled up the couch and found a DEAD Cockroach under the couch. Gross!!! I also didn't like they are now charing $10 a night for parking. I paid $30 for 3 nights. Am i paying resort fees with parking? Make it make sense. Also they are advertising free.parking on expedia as well. They need to update their terms online. Also, we had the do not disturb sign on our door and we came back to our room with fresh towels on the bed. What do you think the do not disturb sign is for? That is an invasion of privacy. We didnt ask for someone to come in our room when we were away. Beware they will come in your room without permission. If you dont like your privacy being invavded, i wouldnt stay here.

First time styed at this hotel , I should call it motel , never seen a rude unprofessional front desk , he was just unhappy rude, no towel , bed where all made of some type of steel ,another very important thing this place has a some type of ghost ,break fast very limited only cold coffee and begal where cold , and some unknown cereal, and woffle maker dirty and out of service god knows how long , avoid this 0 star motel at any cost !

This was a terrible experience. Using Expedia I purposely chose a room with two beds and paid extra for it. When I got to the hotel they told me I did not reserve and pay for two beds and would only give us one bed. I have the proof in my reservation. We’re still fighting with Expedia for a refund on the extra money we paid and the people that run this hotel are absolutely horrible.

Breakfast was exactly on time and satisfying. Coffee was very good. Staff was pleasant and friendly, room was perfect in every way.

Room was clean and nice but they skimp as much as possible amenities. One tiny sample of each and one towel each. One pillow each. AC unit had a hole for a button but still worked surprisingly. Water barely comes out a trickle from the shower head. Couldn’t even get sand off from the beach. Hotel staff is unfriendly and petty. We arrived 24 minutes early and they wouldn’t let us check in without a fee. Additionally, was tired and didn’t realize the bell cart had to be returned to the front desk. I nicely asked the staff member if she could take it since I wasn’t dressed and she blatantly refused. Meanwhile she was headed in that direction and it was about 100 steps away.

Best stay so far for budget friendly hotel in LAX area. Nice flooring, bathroom, bedding,decor. Nothing fancy but tasteful and clean. Like that I can turn on bathroom light without having a loud vent on at same time. Like that the flooring doesn’t look like the cheapest thing they had out a flooring outlet. Like that the bathroom is tiled and that the towels don’t look 100 years old. Didn’t use the pool or sauna but they looked inviting. Love the covered parking. Appreciated fresh fruit at breakfast and option for make your own waffles. My only complaint would be low water pressure in the shower. But I will definitely be returning.

My experience was without trouble. Some issues in previous reviews were evident: yes, the bed creaks, yes, the parking is $10, yes, the facilities are pretty bare bones. But! they had my reservation properly, the parking garage had open spaces, I walked to dinner and Starbucks, location was great for the beach.

As arrived at property we were charge with a $10 fee for parking per night, when we booked it said it was free parking( false advertising) breakfast was horrible, self serve cereal that tasted old. long lines to make yourself a waffle. Mattress was old and cheap noise bed, house keeping was horrible they DONT restock your room or make your bed everyday. Hallways smell like cigarettes smoke .

This place is a little gem walking distance from the Manhattan Beach pier. Overnight parking is only $10! Breakfast included. Comfortable and convenient.

Overall was average maybe even good considering low price paid. But you could feel and hear the metal under the matress so didnt sleep well and my back and neck hurt following day. Didnt fet the extra towel requested from front desk after check in. Staff and guests friendly and did have the continental breakfast included. But you pay 10.00 per day for parking

The hotel is in a prime location with lots of options for shopping, dining, and coffee within walking distance. The hotel offers breakfast and parking at a fee. The room comes with a fridge and the microwave is near the lobby. The rooms are spacious enough. The mattress on the bed is more on the firm side, but be aware of the bed frame/box. If your foot or toes slam into the edges of the frame, your soul will be frightened to the high heavens where the thunderous sound should be coming from. Overall, had a great time!

The room smelled like weed vape, the bed is facing away from the tv so in order to enjoy a show you have to sit on an uncomfortable chair or sit on the side of the bed like a weirdo. The shower did not have conditioner, so I went to the front desk and asked for some and she gave me two little bottles. Come to find out they were shampoo but my wife had already showered so I couldn’t go correct it again. So we had 4 little bottles of cheap shampoo and no conditioner and we had to watch tv out of the corner of our eyes like a chameleon. Will not stay here again.

Nice hotel, not too far from Manhattan Beach. Only annoying thing was the metal panels underneath bed, if anything touched them or your foot hit it getting near bed it would make a loud reverberating sound.

Great customer service. Called them in the middle of the night regarding concern of my credit card being cut off. I was assured a debit card would be fine. Check in was easy. Was given a card with WiFi info. Was also told 6-9 there is free breakfast. There is a microwave in the hallway to use. They have a nice small pool. The rooms look just like the picture. The bed is very comfortable. I had a room with a king bed. The room comes with a refrigerator. Tv and channels worked fine. Shower was nice so was bathroom. Check out very very quick and simple. I would stay here again. It’s a 30 min walk to the beach. It’s also by restaurants and target.

The headboards it felt like a little melrose community. The only thing i did not like was the water preesure and the ants. I will be using this as my go to every time i come back to Manhattan beach. So goood

Breakfast was too small, too warm in the room, only one waffle machine, frozen bagels

Started staying here just prior to the remodeling due to the location and low cost. As they remodeled they got better and better and the prices went skyrocketing started staying across the street at the hotel Pacific, which is the same owner and the same thing occurred over there in time. Problem being for both hotels is the patrons are getting shadier and shadier… and it reflects in the treatment of the rooms and the grounds. As well as the service.

Site was a bit on the noisy side with kids running around and being loud, and traffic. Very disappointed with the breakfast. Hours were on the short side and when I arrived at 8:30 everything was pretty much cleaned out.

Stayed here for our first trip to California and it was a perfect place right by the beach. The breakfast is all carbs but tasty

You get what you pay for. The rooms never get dark enough at night because there are lights right outside the windows and no curtains only shutters. I cannot sleep in a bright daylight type room. I would never go back.

The hotel seems newly renovated. It has a lot of updated furniture. But they don’t have a rack to hang towels. The bed frame was made of metal and it made getting in and out of bed very noisy. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows made for great sleeping. We will stay again

Pool was out of service but we had a hot tub in our room which we loved it was a last-minute stay so I didn’t have much toiletries. I wish they would’ve had provided conditioner, but that’s the only complaint I could say. The air conditioning in our room was loud, but we just stayed one night.

Room 103 had a strong musty, moldy smell from the bathroom drains that worsened after showering, and the same odor was outside near the pool. We got only 3 bath towels — no hand or face cloths. One mattress had poking springs and a loud metal frame. When my daughter asked for water, she was told to go across the street. Fixing the odor, beds, and basic amenities would make this a much better stay.

They never said the pool was closed . They close the breakfast at 9 could not even get a cup of coffee !

Place was nice but the person who was in the office when we did check-in she was nice but hard to understand her English.

Seriously top 5 worst beds I’ve ever slept in and I’ve used a military gurney in Croatia as a bed before.

Decent overall, but the place has hidden parking fees. Why not let people know beforehand?

Nice hotel large rooms

The bed was like sleeping in a sink hole. Our room was very clean, so clean that we had to leave the window open to air out the smell from the Fabulosa or whatever they used. Kinda has a cheap motel fill to it. The staff wasn’t very friendly. The guy must’ve said a total of five words when I checked in. You get what you pay for.
