Super 8 by Wyndham Martinez

Clean, comfortable, and everything in good order. Lobby doesn’t open until 7am (I was told 6am) but I appreciated the good coffee & half&half. Nice touch - no powdered creamer! There were some really minor issues in the room but overall they’re negligible. Thanks.

Perfect for a few nights stay. Room was clean and property was super easy to maneuver. House keeping is on top of making sure rooms are up kept. Overall, great stay.

Ok I stayed for three days, staff was friendly they couldn’t figure out how to work the Netflix so i can stream, there was a burnt hole in my comforter, there were yellow stains in my sheets, my socks were back every night because the floor was dirty. The tub faucet water came out yellow first the next 3 days clear the second the the sink faucet water in the bathroom came out yellow I told the front desk staff he said he didn’t know what it was he apologize you get what you pay for I would not recommend this place unless you literally had no where else to go.

The staff was very accommodating with our room change request. (We wanted a room on the first floor because we had to leave early.) The room and it's ammentities (fridge and microwave) were better than other, more expensive hotels that we have stayed at. I couldn't seem to get the TV controls to work, but that could have been me! The Donut shop next door opens at 5:00, which was very convenient for us because we left too early to get the free breakfast!

Clean, quiet and safe. Charger ports in the lamps on the night stands. Walgreens and Safeway are down the street, Jack in the Box and Domino’s Pizza and a delicious Vietnamese restaurant are within walking distance. Make sure to bring shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer with you.

Ive stayed a few times here with family, and will be returning when needed!

I recently booked a room for my mother, and she expressed her satisfaction with the cleanliness of the room and the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. The booking was made at the last minute.

It was raining and the floor got wet from our feet. When I cleaned it up, I found a lot of dirt from the floor. Not visible to the eye until found on the towel. Found bathroom floor to be the same. Otherwise, all was good. Bed was comfortable.

The room was nice. The staff members that I met were personable and friendly. Good food near by.

Room was clean. Location not great but OK. Front desk staff friendly. Tried calling ahead 3 times between 11am and 3pm to confirm room and no one answered phone. Does not seem front desk is always manned during the day.

No other amenities. Just dark rooms where you cannot open blinds because people walk right past your window. Clean. Good bed.

I spent three very comfortable days and nights staying at this Super 8 motel in Martinez, CA. Everything was excellent; I was very pleased with my accommodations. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was quite comfortable, and the ADA-compliant safety bars were perfect, both by the commode and inside the shower. The housekeeper and manager were very courteous and polite and very responsive to my needs for fresh linens, and the manager quickly restored my television channel when the cable went out. I will definitely plan on staying at this lovely gem of a motel on my next visit to Martinez. Thank you for a wonderful stay! N/A

Great location for my high school reunion. Clean and quiet..no frills but well worth the price compared to other similar motels. Great Vietnamese restaurant next door! towel rack was just at my forehead heihlght and I bonked my head a few times. View fro. the window was a wall with a vine..so mot igly but if you want a vista this is not the place for that.

Martinez is a great area. Comfortable bed. Internet has a good band width.

Very nice. Excellent ham and cheese croissants right next door. Right across the street from the John Muir house, well worth a visit for anyone environmently conscious.

Being a Wyndham member Ive stayed in all kinds of properties and this is my second super 8 Wyndham i. The past mo th. Its been renovated and room was really nice. Liked the shutters on the windows i stead of the usual hitel draoes.giid soze fridge and microwave in room were nice too.

It is literally across the street from the John Muir State Park. In very easily walkable area.

The Super 8 rooms and bathrooms have been updated and are clean and modern.

I liked being able to check in at 3 pm and it was clean I didn't like that it asked me if I wanted smoking or non smoking and I got there and was given a non smoking room. I get in my room and the refrigerator made this loud noise like someone was hitting the wall ..I also didn't like how it said breakfast included and there was no breakfast. My room was clean but the comforter had ciggarette burns in it. The gentleman at the front desk was very rude and didn't make me feel welcomed

Staff was AMAZING! Clean room! Comfy bed! Satisfied with the coffee and pastry we received for breakfast! Perfect send off to travel back home. The fact that they cared about our safety meant a lot! I was on a special trip with my grandchild and feeling safe is a priority. We didn’t catch the name of the gentleman who checked us in, we checked out with Ricky and both were kind and respectful!!

Close to historical sites and where our extended family resides. Close to supermarket and restaurants. No closet to store clothing, only a rack in the bathroom which was very rusted and needs replacing.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Always checking with with us to make sure we had everything we needed. They were always available. The grounds were neat and clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

I took a chance and the other reviews were more or less accurate. The bed was good, the room might have been clean but there was mold in the bathroom the furniture had serious stains etc. Long story short, old property that needs to be refreshed

The staff is friendly and helpful. The donut shop next door opens at 5 a.m. My accessible room was well laid out, easy to navigate. The hotel is near the John Muir House state park. Access to the freeway and the local Safeway is simple. Very pleasant stay.

Rocky was very personable. He greeted everyone and would chat and ask what I was up to. He gave suggestions on local sights. The place is very unassuming. It’s down the block from John Muir NHS. Loads to do in the area. I went to Richmond to see Rosie the Riveter NHS. There is the Richmond Ferry that takes you to San Francisco for $10. Great location and convenient.

I dialed the night number and still no one came. So I left and stayed at a different hotel next door instead.

The check in was fine but hotels com didn't send the message about switching from one bed to two. Not sure if that is why the AC was never on but the room was 100 degrees and got to cool temp at 4 am. There are no blackout curtains, just wood shutters with an LED floodlight out front. You don't need a light on inside the room since it never gets dark. Bring eye shades

The AC was easy to use and they had instructions for the shower, which are two amenities I usually have the hardest time using. The area was quiet, and there was always parking. If you're looking for a chill hotel for a decent price, this is one of the best!

The room is not well laid out, No place to place toiletries, Skimpy desk. Could not set up PC wifi unless use phone hotpoint, poor wifi reception. Noisy, intrusive HVAC. No tissues, no breakfast except a danish and stale coffee.. Staff friendly. A bit overpriced, though reasonably clean.

The area was ok. Easy walk to food places. The only negative I had was the bath tub was a bit rusty, and the mattresses are very uncomfortable.

Love Rocky and all of these people. Everyone is so kind and the housekeeper even ran after me in my car to bring me a charger. I thought I had brought to my car and I left in the room. I always come and stay in room 108 which has the jetted tub you can’t find a jetted tub in this area for the price. It’s always very clean. I feel very safe and it’s quiet, and I try and come as often as I can because it’s a huge treat.

We had quite a comfortable stay. Staff was friendly and extra helpful. We did have an issue with losing water pressure during one of three showers and with a slow-draining sink. Most of the room was nice, though a stained armchair made it feel less clean than it truly was. Overall we had a lovely stay.

The room was amazing and had a home feel to it, I had a great selection of tv and was able to go down the street to local food chains. Shower is slower very comforting and the ac is great during the heat!

I traveled for work and I stayed here while working in town. Awesome place! This was a very affordable option and they were always accommodating. This will now be my go to place whenever I’m in town!

There was no breakfast even though it was stated to have it. Breakfast was coffee and a granola bar. That was incredibly disappointing. On top of that there was a loud vibrating noise at 2 am and went on for hours. The room reeked of smoke on top of all that.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and service was great. I stayed several nights and had no issues.

The staff was nice and the check-in was easy. The parking was easy. The room was spacious and nice with laminate flooring. Amenities in the room were very basic and could use an upgrade, such as coffee maker. There was no laundry plastic bag (small thing but little things I’m used to using on my hotel stays). The tub/shower was hard to know how to turn into shower mode. After a while trying, we finally saw a small instruction note on the mirror, but it was hard to locate. The bed was loud and very springy, not very comfortable. There also was a lot of loud noise at very late hours (11pm-1am) from people in their cars and trucks….maybe just arriving back, not sure, but it was very loud for an extended amount of time. And it just so happened that we were there on trash day and the garbage truck and the dumpster noise was very loud at 7am.

Worst service ever, no one answer the phone. Front desk service almost non existent. Will use adjacent motel 6 in the future.l

I had business very early in the neighborhood and just needed a clean safe and quiet stay overnight.

Nice refurbished room , service has been great, cleaned daily. Staff has been great to work with. Fairly easy to get in and out unless you have a larger truck.

The staff is pleasant and accommodating. The property is well maintained, clean, and appropriately staffed. We travel as a family and frel that the rooms are a great size for a single occupant, as well as a family of 4. I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through town. The parking lot is a little tight at times, but we are always taken care of if this ever becomes an issue. Rocky and Bob are great!

I’ve stayed at this motel twice and it’s very clean and comfortable. The decor is nice and updated and the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. I’ll stay again.

Pro: price, clean, good room amenities. Cons: Your room doesn't face the parking lot so you cant keep an eye on your vehicle. The sheets on the bed are ultra thin, hard to get a good nights sleep. add a comforter on top and get bigger pillows.

I loved the wood floors and tiles. Plenty of towels. Staff was available and friendly. Room looked clean. Came complete with coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge. But, as I entered there was a big big at the door. The coffee hadn't been cleaned, the fridge freezer was not attached, I fixed it and it was not turned on. The shower backed up but he fixed it quickly. Breakfast was danish and coffee. I'm diabetic, they need more options. My printed receipt showed no figures, blank paper. That's not right.

The room above mine woke me just by walking and setting things done at 10:30-11:00 so the lack of noise insulation was bad I. Fact seemed amplified. Otherwise stay was good

This was by far the best super 8 I've ever stayed in. The bed was interesting but the most comfortable mattress I have EVER slept on!!!! If I ever find myself in Martinez again I will absolutely stay here again! The gentleman that checked us in was extremely friendly even though we got in around 10:00 at night.
