Clarion Pointe Medford

The first room had several issues. The refrigerator was not working, and water from the freezer had leaked throughout the refrigerator compartment. The on/off control knob for the refrigerator was missing. The window tracks were dirty and appeared to contain black mold. While soap, lotion, and hair conditioner were provided, there was no shampoo available. The tissue box was also dirty and looked unclean. The staff moved us to a different room, an upgraded king suite. While the room itself would have been very nice, it had similar housekeeping issues. Once again, there were no tissues in the tissue box, there was an excessive amount of conditioner provided but no shampoo and there was trash left on the bathroom floor. I reported these concerns to the manager when we checked out. He apologized for the inconvenience and explained that the owner had chosen not to replenish certain supplies. As an example, he mentioned that the juice machine was out of service because replacement juice cartridges had not been purchased. While the staff was courteous and attempted to address our concerns, the overall condition of the rooms and the lack of basic supplies were disappointing.

Not sure if bathtub was stained or just dirty, but a good scrubbing with comet would help either way. Otherwise sheets, towels etc were clean, had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Seems the new normal is that they only clean the rooms when requested but the cost of rooms is still going up. Again, paying more for less like everything in the world these days. Overall nice place room fridge did not work.

Brittany, the night clerk, was AMAZINGLY helpful and helped fix a planning error on my part that could have been a disaster. The hotel was really nice and I really enjoyed the hot tub. They have a good continental breakfast with sausage, eggs, curate fries and waffles as hot options.

I came in late last night due to a traumatic event at my home that I needed to escape. The room smells of cigarette smoke, there is hair in the tub, and a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom. I was so traumatized that I did not want to go back down to the lobby and complain, and needed to sleep. I asked for my room to be comped, based on the uncleanliness, with no response.

The staff was very friendly. Jimmy front desk was so accommodating & friendly. Angie the breakfast was super nice & friendly. She was always cheerful & smiling. The location by the Veterans Park where lot of homeless & would utilize the table at the smoking area.

Angela was amazing at breakfast! She was so happy and in a great mood! She checked in on everyone and made sure all the items were stocked.

Sofa bed was uncomfortable, extra blankets could have been left for use, as the reservation was made for 3. Blanket on the pullout bed was barely thicker than the sheet. In addition, again, reservation was made for 3, but only 2 sets of towels were left.

The stay was amazing, way above expectations. Room was clean and spacious, staff was friendly and present, plenty of grass outside for your dogs to do their business. Fantastic hotel, equivalent to a stay at a Hilton.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was great, especially the lady who took care of the breakfast area. She was on top of everything, and made sure to greet every guest with a warm smile. Give that hard working woman a raise!

Staff was rude except the manager After I checked in, they tried to check me out and check somebody else into my room and allowed them to go into my room while my personal belongings were already in that room and so I couldn’t get back into my room. Had to go get new keys and they told me I checked out myself, which was a complete lie and now they’re trying to double charge me because they checked me in twice

We were on the first floor. The window was left opened and anyone could've gotten in or out. There was a noise that sounded like a motor running all night long! it was terribly annoying and we barely got any sleep.

The room was comfortable and roomie. I feel petty complaining about the shower. The water pressure was good and it had good temperature, but the showerhead was lower than my head and I am not a tall person. They could put a S shape tube to rectify that problem. Breakfast is just Soso.

Breakfast was okay, the potatoes were soggy and not tasty, but the egg and sausage was ok. Everything else there was just ok. The room was not bad, just dated, like the property. Had a decent nights sleep after a long day of traveling. Mo

The people working at the Clarion were very helpful. The noise in the hall was a little to handle. A family with lots of kids ran up and down the hall slamming doors and yelling.

Hot food was hot and fruit was fresh.

There was mold and feces in the bathroom in the first room they moved us to another room and that room had mold in the bathroom as well and we ended up having to leave because of the lack of cleanliness

The only things that were not so great was the noisy air conditioner and limited hot offerings for breakfast.

We stopped at three other places on our road to and from LA and this was the best. The sink was in the bathroom where it belongs, the beds were great, staff were excellent. It was the night of rest that I needed after a long day of driving.

The pool and hot tub were cold, they ran out of hot water every morning for showers. Bug infestation when a cookie was left out.

It was dirty, mold growing in a water damaged bathroom that was not properly repaired. There was something dripping from the ceiling with a bucket to catch the water! Terrible !

It was overall alright. The pool was cold, colder than at other hotels. The hot tub was not hot, it was warm. They didn't have enough pool towels for all the guests. The breakfast was ok, there wasn't enough seating for everyone so some guests were standing to eat. There wasn't enough hot water for showers in the morning. The room was pretty good, but the bathroom had some staining on the ceiling, possibly some mold. The water pressure was good. It's a good place in a pinch, but I would stay elsewhere if I come through Medford again.

I booked this hotel for the hot breakfast but was super disappointed that there were no eggs served- only potatoes & sausage.

Opted out of breakfast after seeing many cleanliness issues with my room. Didnt want to risk getting sick on my trip There was legit black mold in our shampoo dispensers in one of our rooms. Ali a soiled baby diaper rolls up stinking like heck jammed between the end table and the wall!. After asking homeless to stay away from my truck after dark I was uneasy about my truck outside even though locked.. I was put to ease because my view from my window was an amazing view of homeless community . I was able to keep my eye on them fairly easy.. although that was about the extent of my view.. my kids room has a view of an Aly with garbage blowing around. Between all that and the hairy bathtub I didn’t shower or rest much. Also zero towels at the pool for when u get out. Asked and the were never filled. So we walked back cold dripping everywhere. OH and my kids room smelled like an animal peed EVERYWHERE and the never cleaned carpet!) whole room smelled of ammonia and they cam and slept in our room. We didn’t even use the second room

The front desk staff is very kind and helpful. The room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. Breakfast daily was some type of protein and the (make it yourself) waffles were delicious. Should the need arise, I would stay here again. The room I was in shared a wall with housekeeping. The washing machine and dryer seemed to be in constant use. It was a little noisy but not bad enough to request a room change.

Front desk staff were amazing. Travelling solo with a packed motorcycle and staff was super accommodating to ensure the security of my bike and belongings allowing me to get a much needed sleep. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.

Nice staff and clean facilities and room. There is some visible wear and tear in places. Cracks in the shower tile, chipped paint, dings in the furniture. Nothing major but more cosmetic.

Dirty sock in the room and some crumbs on the night stand. Tissue box empty in the bathroom and the shower was lukewarm. We didn't complain as we were only staying one night and it was an emergency trip. The rest of the hotel was clean and service was great at check in.

Fitness center was usable. Pool and hot tub were good. Breakfast good. Room was clean. Mattresses seem new and very comfortable! HOWEVER, none of the channels worked in our room except for religious channels, news ( political), and sports! We couldn’t watch shows, movies, cartoons, etc. Same issue in fitness center. Multi million dollar company can’t get the satellite to work properly?? The lamp in our room was broken and didn’t stand straight. It fell and hit our son in the head. The water foundation in the fitness center stopped working. There were no towels and the sanitation wipes and hand sanitizer were both EMPTY! Our shower was decent, but again, the shampoo and conditioner wall mounts were empty. The electrical outlet between the beds didn’t work. Very disappointing

It was nice and just enough floors. Easy to get around and everyone was friendly and always willing to help us out.

Yes hotel was good and very family friendly. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and lots of shopping close by was very convenient.

Never got cleaned and when we went to go get more towels the front desk worker was very hesitant to give us any. She said the owners were watching and she gets nervous giving towels away.

Staff was very friendly. Room was decently clean. You could tell there had been water damage at some point. There were water trails down the wall with the picture on it. The bathroom was decently cleaned and stocked but the ceiling again had some water damage. Small areas were bubbled and crumbling. Not sure if the damage was recent or not. Beds were decent. Pillows were fluffy. Tried the hot tub. It was warm but not hot. It was not up to the correct temp.

Christina is the absolute best! Super polite, helpful, great communication and very fun to have a chat with. She’s the definition of a keeper and deserves a raise and a promotion! I’ll be back because of her.

Room was fine, some staff was a bit rude or didn't seem to care. Allowing partying in the breakfast/foyer area (whatever it would be called) after midnight is a bit out of line.

Convenient location but if there is an event at the armory next door people use the hotel parking spots leaving guests unable to find a spot to park for the night. This isn't the fault of the property but I'll definitely be mindful of any events for future stays.

Clean rooms. The gentleman that checked us in let us get in our room early. Nice thank you. Went to get breakfast included. Well the eggs were really cold, no sausage links. This was only at 8am. The girl manning the breakfast said her general manager had been told this many times from her and he still hasn't done anything about it. She was very apologizing about the whole thing. As we sat there i heard another 4 people ask about any meat products. Again she was very sorry that this was happening to the guests. So you think when your doing your reservations and it says breakfast included you should get breakfast. 🤔

Breakfast potatoes were not quite cooked through and tepid. Carpet in room is unraveling at seam. Clomping and voice noise heard from adjacent guest room. Large trucks were allowed to park in multiple spaces nearest building rather than further away requiring longer walk to parking spots for guests with autos. But still, it was a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Not clean and breakfast was gross. Found a wound dressing from blood draw on the floor in the room and dirty q tip. My fridge was unplugged. When i tried to plug it in, water spilled all over the floor. I wont stay there again. The carpet especially needs cleaned and I couldnt even walk on it without shoes.

However the closet doors were off their tracks and we couldn't find anyone to fix them.

My number one complaint was they charged me an exta $20 for each night, than if I would have paid on expedia. Second, my wife found a cockroach in the bathroom. We have video. The new lady was nice enough to move us into a new room. Except this one smelled like smoke. She found us another room next door that was fine, except the rod holding the curtain shower had pulled away from the wall. The water was getting all over the floor of the bathroom. I tried calling the manager several times and even left a message. I just wanted to at least be refunded the $40 that they over charged me. I will never stay at this Clarion or any other Clarion ever again. I tried to give the manager a chance to try to right the wrong. He left me no choice. Beware is all I can say. We only spent 2 nights here and all this crap happened.

The lady taking care of the continental breakfast was outstanding. The area was clean both mornings and the food was delicious, she asked if we needed anything while we were there. I love a clean hotel, clean eating area and great customer service. This Clarion hotel was 5 stars in every area. Thank you for an excellent stay. 👍

We booked two rooms for $150 per night each ($300 total for just 1night) and it was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. When we arrived, the front desk person was busy flirting with a young woman while I stood there waiting for about 5–7 minutes with small kids. When I politely asked for help checking in, he gave me a strange look before finally assisting us. As soon as we entered both rooms, we were shocked — the rooms smelled terrible, there were hairs in the bathtub, dirty towels, broken closet doors, and even pet hair on the beds. It was nearly impossible to breathe in there. We went back to the front desk and asked if we were mistakenly given pet-friendly rooms because of the smell, but he rudely denied it and said there were no other rooms available because the hotel was fully booked. Since we had small children and elderly parents with us, we didn’t want to make a scene, so we tried to make it through the night — but it was awful. My husband and I barely slept and were ready to leave by 6 a.m. The morning front desk staff confirmed that rooms 201 and 203 were pet-friendly. That confirmed our suspicion — we were treated unfairly and likely given those rooms because of our skin color. We left feeling disrespected, disgusted, and deeply disappointed. Never again will we stay at this hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

There was poop on the wall in the bathroom. When I wanted to say it at checkout I felt very rushed and didn’t get to say anything. The smoke alarm was covered by a plastic bag, and there was no elevator which they only tell you via a sign at check-in. The guy at check-in was kind, just felt like I needed to shower from staying in that room. Would have asked for my money back if I wasn’t rushed when checking out.

The staff members were a bit snippy at first, but once we got into the check in procedure they got a lot better. The elevator was down for maintenance, so we had to swap rooms as I am disabled and cannot make it upstairs (especially several flights of stairs) but it all worked out in the end and the person who checked me in was very helpful in getting me settled in.

Poor condition of furniture, not welcoming on arrival, broken elevator but at least the popcorn was expensive.

Elevators were out of order the entire time I was there. For eight days. Had to go up three flights of stairs to my room. And I was at the end of the hallway and somebody puts their clothes in the dryer at midnight. Very noisy!!!

Drywall in bathroom needs repair and paint

When we got to the room, we found that the closet doors were off the tracks and the manual lock on the door didn't work, so that was the not-so-good part. On the plus side, the breakfast was good. The lady who was in charge of the food was very sweet, kind and very on top of keeping the area clean and stocked. The room was clean and the bathroom was stocked. When we checked out, I did let the guy at the desk know about the lock, so hopefully that gets fixed. Overall, we'd probably stay there again. The parking lot didn't have people loitering and appeared to be clean and well kept.

So what seemed like it would be a normal stay went very wrong. My family and I arrived at the hotel after a very long day to be told that we had to carry all of our belongings up the stairs because the elevator was out of service. Then when we finally got our room keys we went up the stairs into our room to discover THERE WERE PEOPLE SLEEPING IN THERE. Mortified my family and I backed out of the room as fast as we could and went back down the stairs to tell the front desk that we needed a different room. When we made it back down to the desk there was no one there so I had to bang on the counter to get someone’s attention. After I told them what had happened they were completely shocked and of course apologized and said the manager would provide some kind of accommodation in the morning. However, instead of just getting us a new room immediately he went upstairs and left us waiting there, holding all of our stuff. This was at midnight so we were beyond exhausted. The front desk worker came back to the desk, finally got us a new room key FOR THE THIRD FLOOR. So we then had to take our stuff and lug it up 3 flights of stairs. To walk into a room that smelled like wet dog and wasn’t even cleaned that well. No refund, no form of compensation was given. I will never be coming back.

Good property overall, though our room on the 4th floor by the elevator had bouncy floorboards, which is an unsettling feeling when you first walk into the room. Feels like you’re experiencing an earthquake.

The property overall was well kept and the staff were above and beyond friendly and accommodating. Everyday the maid would bring us fresh towels and toiletries, even if we didn’t ask for them. The pool and jacuzzi were clean. The only thing that we didn’t like was our sofa pull out bed in the king suite looked like it was slept in, but never remade. When I brought it to the attention of staff though, they gave us fresh bedding. Otherwise overall I’d give it a 4 stars.

Check in was simple except we arrived an hour before check in and the hotel requested 25.00 to check in early. Only ice available was on first floor and we were on the third floor. All in all, we would stay again

Outdated, dirty, and unkept.

We get there and the clerk was not very friendly, we go up to our room and there are towels on the floor blankets all over the floor clearly hasn’t been cleaned we go down to tell her and she seems annoyed and says “well go try this one this is it if it’s not clean don’t know what to tell you” um what.!.!. The beds were made and no towels on the floor but the towels looked like they had been re folded didn’t smell clean and had like mascara mark or some black stain… beds were comfortable though.

Cons: Veteran memorial attracts sketchy characters walking around the property. Hallway carpet is incredible dirty. Room door was not properly fitted so a lot of the hallway light shines around the edges. Fitness room was sad. Political rally held in front of hotel during my stay (not associated with the hotel though).

Issues: 1. Refrigerator not work - had to wait overnight to be replaced (spoiled food). 2. Desk chair cannot heighten. 3. All outlets on lamps Not work. 4. Ice Machine broken all week - had to go to another floor. 5. Locked out of room Twice - so had to go downstairs to front desk. 6. No housekeeping even though was requested & mgr. had written note for room to be cleaned. TP low also. 7. Closet small & hard to use 8. Internet ads on TV woke us up. 9.Breakfast not have eggs for 2 days and no tray. 10.Requested room away from housekeeping, elevator & ice machine - did not get. 11.Elevator jumps and slow. 12. Requested compensation, had to re ask & not get an answer until late the last night.

Upon arrival the front desk clerk explained the key card programer was malfunctioning and walked us to the room. Once in the room we noticed a dip in the middle of the king bed. It was late and we needed to travel to Portland the next day, so we felt with it. The AC unit seemed to malfunctioning… Fan was always on, needed to turn off unit to make the fan shut off.

Room is older but lobby is renovated. Everything was fine. Right next to Harry and David.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful for the price. Very clean. Shower was one of the best hotel showers i have ever used! Bathroom was roomy. We enjoyed our stay! Staff was friendly. Lots of amenities like the pool and gym. Overall if we are in this area again, it will be our first choice!

I didn’t like that my room was not cleaned as I was there for two nights. It would’ve been nice if you could’ve provided a map of the area. Otherwise, overall was good And I won’t be returning again in September. As I’m already booked.

Hotels.com was irresponsible and displayed great incompetence with my reservation and the hotel was also incompetent when i tried to confirm. But Jill salvaged it and fixed things. Thank you, Jill. No thanks to the others.

Make sure if there is no one at the desk look for the phone on the lower counter to call the receptionist to check you in. They were friendly and was very helpful. Clean and beautiful rooms. Breakfast was on point.

We left a jacket and Jill was able to help us to deliver to UPS and we got it in the next few days. Jimmy was very nice to check us in as well, this was my 2nd time stopped by at your hotel. Thanks again

There was only one employee working when we went to check in and there were several people waiting. They have outlets in the lamps on the bedside tables and clock. However these did not work on one side of the bed. The Jacuzzi was nice but only half of the jets were working. Breakfast eggs and potatoes were cold and they had three bottles of coffee flavoring but all were empty and the staff simply said they were out.

Good overall but blackout drapes were behind and not noticeable.

The room was dingy and rundown. It smelled like cigarettes and had holes in the curtains, which I’m guessing were caused by ashes. Some outlets didn’t work. The furniture was beat up. The only good things were the bed, which was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure.

The stay was HORRABLE , customer service was HORRABLE , I requested quiet room Way from others by no means was this hotel booked at all, they put us right below kids banging jumping all day night for two days .I called the front desk told them n she laughed .really ! Not funny at all. Over rated place mold in bathroom not so clean , nobody at front desk when ck out or in had to wait forever . Blinds out dated furniture out dated . Never stay here !!!

The staff was great. I worked 10 hours then drove 9 hours from north Seattle to Medford. Even though it was hours before normal check in, the front desk clerk checked us in anyway . He had to have a room cleaned . He saw how tired I was and went out of his way to get me in a room as fast as possible. Awesome customer service. Give him a raise!!

The bed was the absolute worst. The pillows had hair on them, the sheets had hair on them. There were stains on the bed cover. I had to sleep on a small portion of the foot of the bed because I was so grossed out. I only could sleep for about three hours. The closet door would not open because it was broken. Lamps had holes on them. One of the electrical sockets did not work when I tried to charge my lap top. This is the worse two star hotel I have ever been two. I would rather sleep on the streets than book another visit at this hotel.

We had a really weird experience. We stayed over the weekend for a baseball tournament. We stayed two nights and never requested anything. We had the do not disturb sign up on our door and while we were gone our second day someone had entered our room and switched out or towels and trashes. I never ask for or want people in our rooms during our stay as we leave things in there. The rooms were also not very clean. There were layers of dust on the baseboards and the walls were gross. I wouldn’t stay here again. We come to Medford often.

The shower curtain smelled like mildew and mold.

Pictures are very deceiving, rooms are small and very mediocre, not clean and an uncomfortable atmosphere. I felt like I couldn’t touch anything. Would most likely never stay here again, the breakfast was mediocre as well but the staff were very friendly.

I will pursue a full refund. If Expedia will not refund, I will be issuing a chargeback claim with my credit card company. I have pictures and video evidence of the room. We also had the fun time of hearing a person outside in the hotel parking lot shout for over an hour at midnight. I called Medford PD non-emergency about this crazy person, and they told me I was they only person to do so. Why the hotel staff didn't do it I don't understand. On the plus side, the sausages they serve for the complimentary breakfast are delicious.

I don't like to leave poor reviews, but this hotel is in dire need of a remodel. I had gone onto Trivago which when selected segued over to Expedia and the price was more than originally advertised. I took it anyway but it was not exactly cheap. $420 incl taxes for 3 nights. They do have good parking and the location is close to the interstate and reasonably quiet in terms of traffic.

Jimmy, front desk manager was very helpful to help me fixed light stand and room phone . Lamp on the outside lamp made loud noise in the night which woke me up at 2am, I checked I thought noise came from bathroom but eventually found out from outside.

Staff was very nice. Breakfast adequate except water for hot tea was always cold. Room was lacking. Closet doors were busted so couldn't use the closet. Bathroom vanity had something spilled on it when we arrived. A to go box with a lettuce salad was left in the fridge from a previous guest. Overall just felt like we should have chosen a different motel.

Floors were very dirty. The lady behind the counter said well the hard war floors are hard to clean, but I'll talk to my cleaning staff. I said, that's it? Well I'll talk to my manager to see if she'll compensate you anything. You paid day on line?

From start to finish, the gentleman that greeted us at the front desk was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with an A+ rated A/C unit that kept us very comfortable during the heat wave. We had 3 rooms and each one was as good as the next. I will say minus the bacon missing on the breakfast buffet, it was probably one of the best we have had. Everything was fresh and available, from the egg medallions, fried potatoes, sausage links, waffles and much more. They had a cold jug of lemon water in lobby waiting for the guests and it was refreshing. My family and I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for one night. Staff was very helpful, but on the other hand room had very strong smell on opening the door. 1 bar soap for 2 adults to shower, 2 towels. Old and dusty furniture. Stains on carpet. It was smoke free property but the stairs had very strong cigarette smell.

The concierge and staff were above and beyond nice friendly and helpful. Economical and not overly fancy hotel but comfortable and clean and family friendly. Met our needs for a weekend in town for a kiddos sports tournament, while being dog friendly. The man at front desk really is why I left them review, he was just a really nice and welcoming person that everyone in our family seemed to connect with and appreciate. Whether was a conversation over coffee mid afternoon, or accommodating a request, etc the guy was just efficient and friendly and knew that place inside and out.

We had a great time, the staff was friendly, location was perfect and the lobby offered cold beverages (including adult beverages) snacks and other things for purchase. The breakfast was included in our stay and a good variety. Bed was very comfy. Quiet location.

I selected this property because of its location, breakfast included, and very low price! What a good selection it was! The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful and the trip to downtown was 10 minutes at most. Although the location seems a bit out of the way, access has been achieved so that it can be reached from the retail area just behind, making it really convenient. I will return to this place! Highest praise!

Our room was a pet friendly room for our 9-yr old male dog. As soon as we got in the room, we noticed the bathroom floor was sticky and full of residue, kind of gross actually. We didn't want to walk in the room without footwear on because of this. I mentioned it to the hotel staff, and she stated they had a new cleaning staff, and they didn't properly dilute the floor cleaner, she offered no solution other than that which I thought disappointing. Decent hotel for the price otherwise.

Close to Lithia Fields for sporting events .

The room was really nice, loved the added touch of the Crater Lake mural. We slept well!
