    There seems to be a lack of maintence at this hotel. Several plugs didn’t work. Some were missing there parts. And shower didn’t appear very clean. A bit moldy. Could be nice if they focused on updating and maintains better.

    One of the nicest and unique hotels I’ve stayed at. From the full gym being across the street to the exclusive access to the rooftop events/views it was an overall very authentic and enjoyable experience. The staff was very welcoming and helpful

    Let me 1st say staff was exceptional 👏! Bed slanted uncomfortably and very visible. Shower did not drain well. Carpet in common areas has seen better days. Room quiet but you could hear other rooms plumbing.

    Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel was extremely disappointing. Our first room reeked of cigarette smoke, the carpet was filthy, and the bathtub had a significant amount of mold around it. After reporting these issues, we were moved to another room, but it was even worse than the first. Cleanliness is one of my top priorities when choosing a hotel, and The Hu fell far below my expectations. While the staff was courteous and attempted to resolve the issue, the condition of both rooms was unacceptable. Because of the cleanliness concerns, I chose not to stay at the hotel. To their credit, the hotel did issue me a refund, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience was disappointing, and I was unable to stay there. I do not recommend staying here.

    This hotel was central so excellent location for Beal st and taxis to Graceland and other attractions.The breakfast area was rather limited with few tables so got crowded some mornings however the continental breakfast was adequate. The staff were very helpful so no complaints there. All in all a decent place to stay in Memphis. There was a charge of 77 dollars per night although refunded on Check out.

    We stayed 2 nights for our 30th wedding anniversary. The location was great with parking garage across the street with in/out availability. The staff was great, checkin was easy, the room was perfect. The carpet was old but not a deal breaker. The breakfast was great also with waffles, grits, sausage, chicken fingers and assorted pastries as well. We recommend HU 10/10 for sure

    Arrived on 5/30; check out on 5/31. I didn't like anything about it except for the A/C in the room. Whenever I visit a hotel, the first thing I do is inspect the sheets and wipe everything down. After inspecting the sheets on one bed, my daughter noticed that there were yellow stains on the sheets. She tried calling room service and no one answered. She went down and asked for more sheets for the bed. A very rude and unprofessional lady brought them and was going to hand them to my daughter until I said, hold up we have to change the bed. The staff let us know that she was just told to bring them up. Hmmm. So, if you don't want to touch the sheets, why should we touch the sheets? She came in and jerked off the bedding with plenty of attitude but the bed was changed. We went out on 5/31 and came back to our and it smelled like weed. We don't smoke plus we were gone so why was there a weed smell in the room. Other stuff: no ice machine and nothing to put any ice into, red stain on bottom of bed foot rest, iron didn't work, bathroom faucet leaking, toilet paper holder broken, #2 stain in toilet, poor lighting/dark room, everything dated. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO SCRAPPY DOO! WE DROVE 6 HOURS FOR THIS ISH!

    This hotel is located in a convenient section of Memphis, very walkable to the downtown core. Additionally, the hotel has a wonderful rooftop lounge with great views of the Mississippi River and downtown. That said, the real treasure of the hotel is at the front desk. We met Eboni when we checked in; she was very accommodating and checked us into our room hours early. Eboni has a warm and welcoming personality that makes you feel at home immediately. We enjoyed our stay at the Hu.Hotel!

    We left and walked around after they told us they’d call when the room was ready and no one ever called. Long story short we couldn’t access our room until after 7pm which interfaith our scheduled plans. I had to suggest comping the paid parking to try and make up for the inconvenience. I understand some things are out of the hotels control but a phone call at 3 pm to alert of this would have made a world of difference. The room had a stained carpet and not enough towels. It was decent but not worth the stress and lack of hospitality

    This Hotel was very disappointing to say the least. The overall location is a plus and within walking distance to a lot. I have never in my life stayed in a hotel that rations towels. Not that we asked for extra, but to just get a fresh set of towels per person in your room daily is a feat in itself!!! The staff blames guests stealing towels, will tell you they’re drying the towels and will put some in your room, but either don’t or put 1-set as if it’s not a couple guests in the room. Supply Chain 101, order a surplus of towels Hu! I’ll also add these the thinnest towels I’ve ever used at a Hotel. Getting your room cleaned is questionable as well. Some rooms have a card to put on your door to request housekeeping services, but if your room doesn’t have a card and you don’t know about the card, you better hope you catch them in the hall cuz they may not come. Two days I requested housekeeping services and they did not come. My room had carpet stains, the wallpaper was peeling and 2 tiles had fallen out in my shower while in it. They have a lovely rooftop and host a Friday evening sunset event, hotel guests get free entry but anyone can reserve tables and they were all reserved so our group of 15 all staying at the hotel could not be accommodated! I also think it’s weird staff get on the elevator with guests with large housekeeping bins etc, but that’s me! Each time we went to the front desk or approached staff they were empathetic and willing to help, but no follow-up.

    The cleanliness of the room was concerning, particularly the shower area, which did not appear to have been cleaned properly prior to my arrival. The room was also inadequately stocked, with only one drinking glass provided for the entire suite. Another inconvenience was the ice service. Instead of having access to an ice machine or proper container, I was handed a bag of ice at the front desk, which leaked all the way back to my room. I also paid for breakfast, but many of the items were not replenished during service. Guests should not have to pay for a meal only to find limited or unavailable options. To make matters more frustrating, signage throughout the property indicated that outside food was not permitted. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations for the price paid. There are several opportunities for improvement, particularly regarding cleanliness, guest amenities, food service, and overall hospitality.

    Great place to stay in the heart of downtown Memphis! Carpets are worn and need replacing but that’s it. No other complaints. Staff is absolutely amazing. Helpful and friendly as well as prompt to keep their promises and fulfill your requests. It definitely has that 1930s charm but with updated finishes. The rooftop deck is to die for so be sure and check it out. I’ve stayed there multiple times over the last few months and will again soon!

    The hotel is very filthy. There’s no emphasis on even keeping the main areas clean. My room was so dirty that I had to be moved to a different room once the hotel was no longer sold out. My friend wasn’t able get a clean comforter for her bed therefore she had no bedsheets to sleep over a three day stay. Our toilet paper rack was hanging off the wall. Our sink in our bathroom did not drain nor did it have the cap in the sink that is usually there to catch things. The staff are very unprofessional. I watch security guard getting into it with someone walking past that appeared to be going through something mentally. It could’ve got really unsafe and ugly for those who were present. Honestly I never saw housekeeping the three nights that I stayed there.

    The carpet is filthy. There were spots everywhere. In the room. In the hallways. Just everywhere. And let’s not start about towels. We had to beg for towels DAILY. We had to constantly request that the room be serviced. The staff was very nice BUT you have to be nice when your guest are so dissatisfied. The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to so many attractions but the hotel is awful. They cannot accommodate being sold out.

    The room had no glasses or ice bucket and the telephone in our room did not work! I had to go down to the front desk to get a phone number to use and ask about The Welcome Letter with the internet password etc. I also got the glasses I needed. The only place you can get ice is through the front desk. On the positive side, the room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop bar has spectacular views of the Mississippi River but the drinks are very expensive. The breakfast was very good, however, they seemed short-staffed since tables were not cleaned after use and food was not resupplied without asking. This hotel has great potential if managed and staffed better.

    We checked in late as we were traveling from Dallas. We were very tired from the long ride. Check in was good. We dropped off our stuff and went to get something to eat before it got late. Upon returning to our room we ate and noticed the room was a little warm. I took my shower before going to bed I checked and the room temperature was 77. I set the temperature to 68. I work at 3 and it was still hot in the room. The temperature was still 77, i set it to 65 and went to bed. The next morning I woke up it was 80 in the room at 8:30 am.

    My recent stay at the Hu was less than satisfactory. The room is very small, breakfast was ok, I've had better. When housekeeper cleaned the room she took all the towels but didn't leave any? My husband went to the lobby to inquire why she didn't leave any and was told they didn't have any. The staff member he spoke with was able to locate a few but no large drying towels so I had to use a towel use as a floor mat after my shower. This stay was definitely not worth the amount we paid which by the way included a $75.00 a day deposit as well as $22.00 a day for parking. I definitely will not be staying here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    We arrived late at night to no clear drop-off area, a chaotic arrival, and a large crowd outside who appeared intoxicated. After getting my son (10 years old) inside, I went to park across the street. Walking back, a drive-by shooting happened directly next to me. I ran in to find 5 random men at the entrance calling me "lil mama" and questioning me about which car it was. We had planned to stay a second night. We did not. The next morning when I checked out and explained why, the staff member's response was "that could happen anywhere." And tried to convince me to stay. AND I was still charged for both nights while having to pay for a hotel elsewhere. I reached out to Expedia, and they resolved my refund quickly. The property was nice, but the safety environment and the dismissive response to a serious incident were not great. If you're traveling with children or arriving late, please factor this in.

    For the price I paid for the room and the reviews that were left by other Expedia members I was really surprised at the state of this place. Scuffed walls and marked up carpet. Hallways in bad shape. Mold in the shower. Hair on the sink. And there’s a surprise $22 charge for parking that I did not see anywhere when I booked. The night attendant seemed annoyed by me just being there. I tried to be as kind and patient as possible. Fine for a one night stay, but NOT worth what I paid.

    The HU. Hotel is definitely below standards for the price. There are no amenities in the room (not even a ice bucket). However the staff from the front desk personnel, houseman, concierge we all great with exceptional personalities and positive attitudes. It was because of the staff my hotel stay there was pleasant.

    The staff was very nice and helpful, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself was just okay. You can tell they’ve tried to make renovations, but some of the older parts still show through. It wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t great. Overall, would I stay here again? Probably not.

    The lobby should have fresh water available all day. Many people walk the city and it would be nice to have fresh water in the lobby. Carpet in room needs to be cleaned better. There was no cold water in the shower. The hot water was so hot I couldn’t use it comfortably.

    The sink leaked. The bathtub's stopper didn't work. Only one employee was helpful. Charged for breakfast that was prepaid. Charged to park in the hotel's parking lot. If you are young, might be a good spot location wise.

    The staff was warm and welcoming, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself could use some updates. There was a leak in the lobby ceiling, the shower in the room showed signs of mold, and the carpet throughout the guest floor and in the room appeared worn and unclean. We originally booked a two-night stay but decided to leave after the first night.

    I travel all the time for work, and this is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. When I got there, it’s like the room wasn’t even cleaned. I found a jellybean in the bed, the carpets were FILTHY, and the bathroom was disgusting. I found stray hairs everywhere. Even the lobby was unkept. I would’ve canceled on my stay, had it been refundable. I genuinely was disgusted to even walk on the floor in the hotel room 0 out of 10 do not recommend.

    We enjoyed our two nights a Hu. Hotel. The location is fantastic. For a downtown hotel the parking arrangement at a garage across the street is convenient (although expensive). The staff (and particularly the concierge Dedrick) were extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfast is for a fair price and looked appetizing although we found several good breakfast spots nearby. The rooftop bar has fantastic views! The only negative to our stay was that the carpets in the hallway (13th floor) and in our room were badly stained and sorely in need of complete replacement. Once the hotel addresses this issue, we would give it a 5-star rating.

    We had a fantastic corner room facing the Mississippi River, view was great. Room was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a great rooftop patio, that is sadly only open at certain times, that would be the biggest negative. They had a great looking breakfast that could be purchased for great price. There is not a Kuerig style coffee maker or any coffee maker in the room which was disappointing but they had great coffee in the lobby. Overall we had a great experience. Hu Hotel Mgmt, please open the rooftop patio.

    This hotel was very rundown. We had no cold water, there was only very hot water so we were unable to take showers or comfortably wash our hands or face. The housekeepers were all very kind and helpful. However, the manager was not willing to offer any type of compensation and could not understand why we wanted compensation, because he said he sent the maintenance technician up. At the time the maintenance technician came to the room, we were not dressed and so could not allow him in at that time. I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice hotel.

    Half the lights didn’t work. The water in the bathroom had no cold water. So it went from warm to very hot in no time flat. The toilet tank even had hot water in it. It was odd. Showering was uncomfortable. The fan didn’t work in the restroom either

    The room was outdated. No microwave, stained carpets that looked like mud was tracked in, broken lamp, and very hot. The AC couldn’t even keep the room cool. The remote barely worked to the TV. There is no ice machine in the halls. The breakfast was the best thing about the stay but there was flies flying around my food due to the plants. The room looks nothing like the pictures. No walk-in shower and definitely not modern. The receptionist was really sweet 5/5. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend or go again.

    Roz the desk receptionist went out of her way to make us comfortable during our one night stay. She recommended a Bbq restaurant within walking distance. It was soo good. Our room was conveniently located to the elevator and morning fabulous full hot breakfast. Parking garage was located directly across the street.

    Overall, it’s a very nice cute trendy hotel. It does need some maintenance. I was in room 806 which is a king junior suite. An overhead or some kind of lead when you open the door would be good. The lamp in the living room did not work. There was no coffee machine or no glasses or even a complementary water. You curve around to the bedroom and that was a lot of space. They had really cool sconces that can be moved around. There is an Apple room for space to do work on a laptop. There was no Bible in the drawers, which was weird I’m just seeing one. The bathroom was massive, ADA, the shower was a bit small but nice the tub I wanted to soak in, but there was no way to close the faucet. I tried and couldn’t figure it out, maybe user error. But my guess wasn’t able to close it either and we tested it. It had great lighting throughout the room with the open curtains and then the other curtain. The carpet can either use a really deep cleaning or replace it. There were spots on the carpet. And then there was a bench area at the end of the bed and that was gross, it had a stains on there. You can tell the building is older, but it has the character. It just needs to be updated better.

    But walkable to Beale Street, an easy $12-15 Uber if your tired or it’s late everything else is drivable and easy to drive to, 15 mins to Graceland, 10 mins to Stax, river is walkable to as is the large Bass Pro pyramid

    I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Slept like a baby each night and enjoyed exploring what was in the area. My only concern is that my carpet was a bit wet upon checking into my room. I only noticed because I took my shoes right by it and stepped on the spot. I assume it was because they may have cleaned something up before I checked in. I didn’t mention it to the hotel staff because it cleared up. There was no weird smell or anything and I wore slippers the whole time. Other than that, everything was great. I wore myself out exploring and didn’t get a chance to check out the rooftop, but I’m sure it was just as great as people hyped it up to be.

    I was a little apprehensive when I read a review (after I had booked) about a complain that the hotel was outdated and dingy. I didn't find that to be the case. The minute I pulled up to the curb - Deadrick took care of me and by the time I made it to the front desk, Ebony had my stuff all ready to go. The room was nice and clean. No complaints here. It was a great stay, would stay again.

    This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. No where on the website does it talk about parling cost and the incident fee of 75 dollars a day. Breakfast for 10 dollars all you got was nothing health. The party that was on the roof top kept me up that night. The walls are very thin and you can here everything in the next room that you really do not need to hear. Check in time was late they had no rooms ready at 3pm. I was charged for 2 drinks that i did not buy, how does that hapoen. That was the last straw for me. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

    The rooftop event was the highlight of the stay. My room some how wasn’t in the system so workers were entering my room unannounced at 9am. When trying to check out I was told I wasn’t in the system and to call later for a manager to get my deposit return figured out.

    It feels like they tried to update things to look fancy but are not, in fact, fancy. Oh, and our bathroom sink did not drain well and would take forever for the water to empty out. We did end up having a fantastic experience at the rooftop bar with other staff and the sunset from there was phenomenal. Overall, the finishes are ok, but there's still a lot of work to make these rooms feel more polished.

    The photographer who worked for this hotel did an excellent job making this hotel look more modern. First of all, to say this hotel is 3 minutes from The Peabody and 6 minutes from Beale St., is a lie. Considering how sketchy the streets of Memphis are, this should absolutely be corrected. The set up is strange when first walking in and then we needed a cart for our luggage. They had me do this myself and was clearly struggling moving the cart. They did not care and just watched. Finally when I got the cart outside, a man came out to help. The room was large but the sinks were only usable for about 8 seconds and then the water was scalding hot. The ac clicks on VERY loud throughout the night and the toilet would also randomly start running. We had just stayed in a hotel in New Orleans and Memphis could definitely use their guidance in hospitality

    This hotel is so amazing! It was clean, classy, and chic. Ebony was soooo nice and helped us feel comfortable after we left a ghetto hotel in the middle of the night and came to them. She felt like a new best friend! I wish I had her number just so I could keep in touch. She is personable, friendly, and treats everyone as if they’re her friend already. Dedrick or maybe it was spelled Deadrick? was also very helpful. He made sure I felt safe after leaving that other hotel. The staff over all is very helpful and friendly. If I visit again I hope I can stay at this hotel!

    At check in the staff seemed as if they did not want to be at work! Line was long and very slow at checking in. When I made it to room 608 the room was very small smelled like smoke, carpet looks like someone had a wild night of drinking now to the bathroom my hair is black there was red hair in the sink the bath tub and nasty hairs on the toilet! I went down to let the front desk know and the response was oh I will let housekeeping know, nothing more nothing less! I will never stay at this place again.

    The location, hotel, proximity to garage, service, and ease were nice. I was only in for 1 night, so I did not need much for my stay, however, the room was spacious, clean, had a good design, and large kind-sized bed. The remote did not work for the TV because of low batteries, but that did not take away from a pleasant stay. Friendly staff, close to restaurants and Beale Street, and overall a good experience.

    It was terrible. The hotel was nasty. The site didn’t mention Anya out paying for parking or the $75 a night hold for incidentals. Nor did it say that you had to pay for breakfast. Also the pictures listed in this site are not for the hotel in Memphis because these pictures looked 10 times better than where we stayed. I even mentioned it to the employees and they said, “yeah that’s definitely not us.” This hotel is old and dated. Carpet needs to be replaced. Water pressure sucks and the water didn’t get hot. It was warm at best.

    This was my 3rd stay at Hu. and will be the only place we stay whenever we’re in Memphis. Customer service is always wonderful-especially when the gentleman is there at the door. The rooms are always clean and welcoming and the location is perfect for us.

    This hotel needs updated badly . From the rooms to the staff. Immediately walking into the room i noticed a smell. The carpet, shower, and the chairs were filthy. I expected a better experience from the pictures and the price paid but was very disappointed. Also the balcony was closed majority of the time I was there even though the hours stated differently.     My room was amazing. The pics served no purpose, much better in person. I got greeted by the best bellman ever, Deadrick Fleming. He was very courteous, informative and super helpful. Not to mention the hotel is downtown which means, it is walking distance to everything. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    The staff was great....really great and super helpful. Made up for the run down hotel--dirty carpets, peeling paint. Rooms are big but amenities are sparse: No coffee maker in room. Breakfast was ok but closed way too early at 9:00am. Parking was reasonable and convenient. Location was convenient. I wish the roof were open even if the bar itself were closed. It would have been a nice place to see sunrise. Location is safe and convenient. Would I stay there again? Possibly

    I prepaid and also paid for online insurance. When I arrived it was an 75 Dollar for insurance and 22 Dollars parking which always not describe in the purchase because I would have adjusted my card to accommodate the request. So I had to cancel and I may have lost the 140 that I paid.

    Hair was on almost all of the the towels. Water wasn’t working in shower, tv sound did not work, lights were out in the room, ironing board was broken so we had to be moved to another room that had the mirror mounts but the mirror was missing. The manager was really nice and compensated. Honestly this was the worst hotel stay ever.

    The hotel was very nice and clean, and the check-in process was smooth. However, one thing to note is that they do not offer valet parking, which was very inconvenient. You have to walk across the street and park in the parking garage, and you can only park in the areas marked with black lettering. Other than that, everything was great. I’m just not used to staying at hotels that don’t have parking available nearby or valet services.

    The room was excellent, and the staff was very courteous. I was impressed that the shower was built for tall people. That's a rare find. Nice rooftop view. I had a problem with the faucet handle on the tub, and it was fixed within 10 minutes of calling the front desk.

    The staff at the Hu Hotel exceeded all expectations! They were all so helpful and pleasant. It seemed to be a very well ran hotel. It was cost efficient and centrally located. Easy to walk most places. Parking was easy as well. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five is because the room itself was a little more run down than the pictures and the shower only had half of a glass wall with no curtain. Other than that, the bed was comfortable and the room was so cozy!

    We love this hotel. Just found it on HOOTELS and booked due to reviews. It was fantastic! Very nice, great service and staff, all were very friendly and herlpful. We're been a little leery of Memphis lately but this place was great. They took good care of us. The view to the West is fantastic, best Sunset ever overlooking the river, Mud Island and both bridges! Access was easy and the room was perfect, it was huge and super clean. My parents have already stayed there since our visit, had the same opinion as us, and we'll definitely stay again next trip. I'd say this is our new 'go-to' hotel in Memphis.

    My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was far from clean, with noticeably dirty carpets and missing tiles in the bathroom. The lighting was so poor it made the room feel dingy and unwelcoming. To top it off, the room lacked basic amenities like a microwave and refrigerator, and the hotel offered no food options whatsoever. The breakfast hours were ridiculously short, barely giving guests a chance to eat. And as if that wasn't enough, there was a concerning leak in the lobby ceiling. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    This hotel needs a major update. The building is falling apart. The shower tile had huge cracks that were sealed with something that looks like cement. The rooms were as clean as they could be. The breakfast is just embarrassing and the cost is 10 bucks. The refrigerator in the room didn’t work. I had to hear water run through the night. It sounded like a shower was constantly running, I think it was maybe due to the drainage. The furniture is outdated and the bed was hard. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. 2 star hotel even a motel was better than this place. The only thing positive was the staff, wonderful personalities and service. Renovate renovate renovate. If you wanna ruin your trip stay here.

    The front of hotel crew — the gentleman assisting with the street check in — luggage, directions to park, and assistance with making a u-turn on a downtown Memphis street — was cheerful and a great ambassador for the hotel. The receptionist was great in covering all the details — and was helpful again the next morning with the coffee bar. Such good cheer from them both! The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Can easily say, “give this quiet gem a try!”

    Initially we booked the ADA double room, which we were not happy with when we arrived. The carpet had multiple stains. The toilet was loose and shifted each time it was used. The showers had no doors or a clear distinction from the entire bathroom floor and the shower floor, just a shower head. This was not photographed in the pictures shown when we booked. The sink was also clogged and the handles had gunk around them, as if it hadn’t been cleaned. I was very unhappy with the room and had decided to pack up my things and cut my vacation short-only after staying for 1 night. I went to the front desk to check out multiple days early and that’s when I met Ebony and things were drastically turned around. She seen I was very unhappy and near tears from the disappointment in having to cut my trip short due to the things listed above. She immediately jumped into action and asked me what could she do to make things better and to keep my vacation going. She offered an upgraded room and gave an entire itinerary on things to do nearby. She was more than willing to help. I stayed because of her. Her willingness to help didn’t stop there. She continued to reassure me that she would take care of anything i needed. Each time I passed her she greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing. Very grateful for her. She’s the best!!!!!

    The workers were nice but the hotel and room were very dirty. The hallways of the hotel seem like they haven’t been vacuumed since 1920. Our bed was comfortable but the carpet was stained in multiple places which leaves you questioning how long it’s been since it last seen a carpet cleaner. Last but not least, there was a gigantic wad of hair left in the shower drain and that pretty much speaks for itself on cleanliness. Again workers were very sweet, the rest was disappointing.

    This hotel was excellent you couldn’t ask for nicer staff, everyone I encountered was very helpful and friendly towards me… there was an issue with my check in the first night there was a slight mix up, and it was corrected by the front desk and my booking agent, I was very happy to be upgraded to the king sized suite… I made use of the upstairs roof top bar 2 nights where I got another fab service, my room was very big and very comfortable and I had a nice view of the River…this hotel was in the heart of downtown Memphis so it was easy to get around I made use of the trolley that will take you up and down Main street to some of the attractions, I really enjoyed my trip

    The hotel and experience was great. However, I was double charged for the parking garage. The staff did not communicate that the parking garage would automatically be charged to my card on the account. So, I paid in the parking garage as the parking garage directs you to do. A week later, my company found the additional charge for parking. This is a five star review if it were not for this miscommunication.

    I probably would not stay here again. It was okay for what we needed however the hotel needs a redo. Carpet had stains everywhere. I typically take shower shoes/bedroom shoes but they were needed 24/7 inside our room. Linen had slight stains so I flipped the sheets in order to get through the weekend. The best part was the location, I think it was in a great spot. The staff was nice. Hotel could just benefit from a nice facelift and I would certainly return.

    After train was delayed almost 2 hours arrived to the hotel and she could not find my reservation took about 10-15 mins. The breakfast attendant Linda was very rude to guest. One dead roach found and one live roach found. No small trash bags in the whole property and no small face towels available. Tub did not stop up so after a long walk was not able to soak in tub. Then 75$ a day was taken off card without being informed until we made it on the property

    This was our first stay here and it was excellent!! The entire staff were helpful and pleasant! The nice man who helped us get parked and go over to the garage was so nice! I’m sorry I don’t remember his name - he found me an electric scooter to use and went to the parking garage to help my husband!! If you want to stay at a perfect hotel, the HU is it!!

    The room was nicely appointed, bed was comfy, restroom was so large! Great windows to look down on the street. Service was great, friendly. They will provide ice upon request. You can get them to put frozen packs in their freezer as the room only has a cold fridge, not a freezer. There is a safe, A separate bar area in the room for washing, making drinks, etc. Did not get to try the bar or breakfast on site. Parking is off-site, very close, secure for $22 a night. The hotel is beautiful and so close to Beale and downtown. We were able to walk. Felt safe throughout.

    First, it was very easy to get to. Second- the staff were great. They were very helpful and seemed always there ready to help. Third-- great location. Fourth- parking was close by and reasonable. Fifth- the rooms were clean and very nice sized. Sixth-- very close to EVERYTHING. Beale street was just a short 5-7 minute walk. We felt safe near the hotel. We highly recommend.

    This is an older hotel. Carpet was stained and very old. Parking isn’t included but there is a garage across the street. I did feel very safe using garage. You must have a code to get into garage but it’s $30/day. Loved the rooftop bar. Breakfast being included could have made experience better. I feel like i paid for more than I got. Concierge was the sweetest!!! Enjoyed trip but wouldn’t stay here again.

    We were checked in without a problem. Our two rooms could use some updating. The carpet needs to be replaced. There were what looked like fried chicken crumbs on the sofa, we had to call for towels as well as drinking cups for both rooms. These are basic housekeeping duties that were overlooked. I love the rooftop bar here and the hotel itself. I really hope there is a difference in quality of cleaning before I return.

    The staff was the best part of the stay. They were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel and room itself was nice, although there were minor things that could use updating including the floor in the elevator coming up in one corner and the toilet paper holder in our room wasn’t stable. Again, any issue was minor and would not prevent us from staying there again next time we’re in town.

    The young lady at the front desk was extremely polite and helpful. I called before check in to inquire about parking and deposit costs. The young lady who answered was also very polite and knowledgeable. The room itself was incredibly spacious. I loved the openness of the floor plan. The only cons I have are that the beds were way too low for my personal comfort and breakfast was an additional costs. Other than that I’d rate Hu a sold 8 out of 10.

    I most def enjoyed the stay. The staff was AMAZING and had over the top customer service skills. I love em all lol. The rooms were very clean (outside of the carpet stains). You are in walking distance of maybe downtown (don't quote me on it), food places and more. I was able to find a record player shop!! The only small bad thing is there isn't a microwave in the room so you have to go downstairs. But overall 10/10. Will book again and again.

    The concierge Deadric was real knowledgeable, resourceful and very respectful. He described everything with such detail.     The parking fee is $22 and is not included in the cost of the hotel reservation. It is a seperate charge altogether, and the only option for parking. During my stay, my room was over 80⁰F the entire time, and despite me bringing it to the clerk's attention that the AC was not working properly, they did not offer any help or compensation for the inconvenience. I won't be staying here again.

    First and foremost, the staff was wonderful. The lobby/cafe area is beautiful. However, I cannot give this hotel more than 3 stars due to the overall cleanliness of the room. The carpet was filthy and should be replaced immediately. The couch cushions and countertops also had a few mysterious stains. Renovations are definitely needed.

    Rooms are ok, i had great view of an alley. Theres no free parking so plan on spending another $25 to park.     Staff was Absolutely Amazing but for what I paid for the room I was not impressed😢… The room just was not as clean as could have been. The accent chair was covered in stains. I was surprised to see no water bottles for you to have for drinks, no coffee pots in rooms and I didn’t even see ice machine anywhere to get ice. We loved our time in Memphis and as I said staff was amazing but the room itself for price was just not worth that. Just needs to be cleaned way better than it was.

    Chose the hotel for its proximity to our morning appointment and price. Arrived at dusk and could not find any parking garages permitting access. Finally parked in front of hotel to check-in at desk and was given a code for the garage across the street to secure vehicle. It was nice to know our car was protected but a bit frustrating driving downtown to figure this out. Check in with smooth and rooms were spacious (decorated w/a hint of art deco) & beds very comfy. Our interaction with "Eunique" was great but most other staff did not seem inclined to be accommodating without a bit of persistence on our part. By the time we arrived, there were few eating establishments left open downtown that were not bars. It did not seem prudent to venture far from the hotel due to some questionable characters roaming about, so we opted to eat at the rooftop lounge. Unfortunately, the selection of appetizers was extremely limited (although tasty when they arrived) and the"scene" was definitely not kid friendly. The hotel was very quiet for a peaceful night's sleep and the breakfast offering was quite adequate. After a morning appointment, we briefly roamed a few blocks of downtown. The streets were clean (with a trolley running down the main thoroughfare) & shops decorated in a festive vibe. These hints of nostalgia (not to mention horse drawn carriages pulling lighted, Cinderella-like carriages at night) invite you to escape momentarily to an era when the simplest pleasures brought joy

    The check-in logistics are a bit cumbersome (by no fault at all to the staff. There is only room for about 2-3 cars at drop-off, as it is a downtown hotel. There is no valet option the garage is across the street. There was quite a back of of cars and waiting for check-in in the very small lobby. The location is great for checking out Riverside Park and local restaurants.

    That said, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. In room 901, the TV screen was difficult to view, and the carpet appeared stained, outdated, and in need of replacement. Despite being located near the elevator, the room remained pleasantly quiet, which was a welcome surprise. The rooftop bar, though modest in size, consistently had available seating. The nighttime view was absolutely stunning—romantic and tranquil—easily one of the most memorable parts of the experience.

    Only one trash bin in the room and there’s trash left uncleaned in the trash bin when we checked in and entered the room. There’s also a beverage bottle on the table obviously left by the last customer. So cleaniness I would say poor. However, the service is great, I like the lady who’s in charge of the breakfast section and the lady at the front desk is welcoming as well. The room design is poor I would say the room is too big but layout is not reasonable. Would rather choose a cheaper but chained brand.

    This a comfortable hotel which is in reach of many local attractions. It has a spacious lobby/lounge area, option to use the gym opposite and the balcony has great views of the city and river. The room itself was comfortable and had a small sofa as well. The bathroom was a decent size and the beds were comfortable but would have like a few more options for pillow heights. The only thing that really let it down was the bedroom carpets which could do with a deep clean to get rid of the stains of which there were quite a few.

They were well lit - our room was dark - no brick walls - carpet is very unclean - no ice machine on the floors, you have to call and order it anytime you need it. Also that “pull out couch/bed?” Not even sure what that is …. I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels but advertise correctly - parking is not included, nor is the breakfast - also ok, but let’s add that to your website and booking details as well.     Booked a room here a day before, and the whole process was smooth! The staff was so welcoming. We had an issue with the AC in our room when we first got in, but maintenance came and fixed it within 15 minutes of us calling down to the front desk. The only thing that was a bit cheap was the towel hook in front of the shower. It was falling off and attached with glue or some sort of sticky pad.

    Front desk staff was friendly and knowledgable. You do have to pay for parking and it’s across the street but convenient enough for a downtown location. Wi-Fi worked within the room and common areas. Bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. Hallway was a little worn but room was bright and spacious.

    The hotel itself was nice. Breakfast was not included and $10/person for your typical free hotel breakfast anywhere else. The hotel is in a BAD neighborhood. There were several homeless people passed out out side on the sidewalk. Definitely not family friendly.

    This was as expected, great views and comfy beds, for us it was a nice one night stay in Memphis. Parking is not great but what else can you do for a downtown. Eat BBQ while there its so good in Memphis.

    I picked it because of price and location - It ia perfect and the roof terrace is unbelievable - will stay there anytime I go to Memphis going forward. Rooms are fantastic too!

    So happy with our decision to stay here! We were treated very kindly and service was great; only thing is we got some conflicting information from the front desk (said there was room service when there wasn’t), but overall a great experience, would stay again!
