The staff was great. They were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Talecia, not sure about the spelling. She went above and beyond to help us.

It was more or less just like most hotels all over the world - except for the smell in the hallway, which sort of came and went. I went next door to the Four Points Sheraton just to compare - pretty much the same - except FPS had darker color decor and some wooden accents - both of which make it look nicer. Breakfast was just ok- a lot of carbs - whish there were more protein options - people are not eating too many carbs these days. It's a little expensive for an average hotel. Could do without the smell in the hallway. It feels like someone comes along every few hours and sprays - then the spray goes away - and it smells bad again. The smell does not get in to the room.

The breakfast was good, but there was no cheese available at all. The rooms were great too with lots of space. The coffee machine in the lobby was also stellar! The business center computers weren't working at all.

It was very clean…thankful for that! I booked here with three things in mind…a pool for the grandkids, a good breakfast and good ratings. Well…the pool was closed both days. Opened up right when we were leaving. The staff…some were helpful, some were not. We had five people, three towels. No bedding for the sofa bed. We were back annd forth to the front desk the whole time. And no toilet paper on the last day. We used tissues. The second day we went down at 8:30. All the hot food (all but sausage nobody wanted) was gone. My husband asked for more food. The lady said she doesn’t put out more food after 8:30 since it shuts down at 9:00. Then two more families came down. So she made more biscuits and eggs and slammed the lid in front of my husband. Not a great experience as hotels go.

The wifi was out and the swimming pool was closed during my stay. The staff wasn't helpful or knowledgeable. I tried to speak with management, but apparently he works 9 to 5, so I was unable to catch him during my stay. I should have checked out after the first night, but I had already paid for two nights. I had to go to Starbucks to use their wifi, which was a huge inconvenience!!

We were in Room 324 at the Holiday Inn Express in Memphis, Tennessee. There was no internet access during our 2 day stay. Simply not acceptable and feel it's basically false advertising. The breakfast was not up to par with the rest of my stays at Holiday Inn Express or IHG properties. Pancakes were doughy and basically uncooked. There was a parked car outside my room window and it was full of trash. It remained in the parking lot throughout our stay and remained there when we left. The outside door that provided access to the electrical panels was unlocked and opened. A total breech of security and safety for the employees as well as the guests. TV did not work during half of our stay and continued to go in and out. A very say representation of Holiday Inn Express hotels. We were there for 2 days and no one ever entered the room to clean, empty trash, make the bed or provide fresh towels. The microwave plate would not rotate and it had to be removed to warm coffee. Glass shower doors were very difficult to open and close. A sad representation resulting in our decision to never stay at a Holiday Express Motel in during our future travels or vacations.

I never make negative reviews but I was not satisfied during my stay. The WIFI was not working. The swimming pool was closed. The pancake maker was broken. There were minimal choices for breakfast. There was no covers in the room for the sleeper sofa. There were only enough towels for 2 people. The toilet did not flush properly. The hotel has potential and the staff was ok.

Breakfast was excellent and the bed was the comfiest one of our trip! Would recommend it for others!

The front desk was little rude and not very helpful. ( I ask if a plastic spoon or fork was available and was quickly told no). One of the coffee machines was broken. which lead to along wait for coffee. ( which I choose not to wait for) Pan cake machine not working all 3 days. Ran out of meat on day one. Basically breakfast was a joke. Room however was clean. I saw a guest ask if there was a door closest to hear room. She was told " step back and look down the hall " pretty rude tome. Will not be returning plenty other options around.

Our first stop on a long road trip we slept well in this motel. It had an adequate breakfast and was clean. When we stayed here coming back home it was awful. The beds in our room were so broke down we kept rolling to the middle! I had to stuff pillows in between us to keep on the outside and we slept horribly. We arrived at breakfast at 8:30 and there wasn’t anything left and they didn’t refill anything. One coffee machine was broke down and the amenities were stingy!!

The bathroom fixtures in the shower and the sink needs to be fixed it falls off every time you use it otherwise it’s very clean and breakfast was good

Our experience was incredible, from the minute you walk in, you feel welcome. The beds are comfortable, the room is clean and well kept. The breakfast options are varied and they have a cozy sitting room to eat breakfast. Will definitely return in the future!

I love everything about the hotel stay

The gym had no cleaning wipes or a foam roller. Thankful they had a few mats, and I was able to do a short ab workout and cardio, though after being in the car for 7 plus hours, a foam roller would have been wonderful.

The breakfast staff does an amazing job each morning. They are very good at refreshing the breakfast foods. The rooms are clean. There was a problem with ants that I advised the front desk about. The air conditioner in room 300 is a bit noisy, and needs to be looked at. The exercise room is well equipped and clean with weights, ellipticals, treadmills, weight scale.

We have stayed here in the past and this property never disappoints! Always clean rooms and comfortable beds. Staff is very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. The breakfast is always fresh and hot. My only complaint would be they need to have hot chocolate available next to the coffee counter in the lobby year round. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Memphis and the surrounding areas. This location is close to everything especially restaurants with a multitude to choose from. 5 Stars for sure!

We have no complaints. The price was very reasonable. The rooms were clean. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast is what you expect from a hotel breakfast. The area was safe.

Immaculately clean, fresh smelling. Desk staff 3-11p was AMAZING. We couldn’t find parking, and she jumped in offered to move her own vehicle, as she was leaving soon. Breakfast was hot & fresh, good variety. Late checkout offered. Bed and bedding was the most comfortable I’ve experienced in a hotel. One complaint- at 10am, housekeeping started banging on doors….Literally banging with an object, and yelling “Housekeeping!” obscenely loudly, door to door. Very annoying to guests not checking out. 100% recommend this hotel.

Have stayed at this hotel for business trips multiple times. Large clean rooms, comfortable bed, quiet, location easy access to interstate handy. The included breakfast is excellent with lots of options-scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels etc. great coffee machine in lobby always available. Few cons-only one elevator that is slow (and my room was farthest from elevator this time as well!)-no safe in room, no shops, restaurant, fast food in walking distance hotel somewhat isolated but things are very avaiable close by car on hacks cross road

There was nothing about the property that really made me like it. However, it wasn't the cleanest. The bathroom floor had something on it. The bathtub kept filling up while we took showers. Which tells me the drain wasn't working well. The young lady at the front desk was made aware. She said there was nothing she could do about it. They were understaffed. I would not book here again.

I intentionally checked in here for the gym, and the price associated with this amenity...which was 20 min away from where I needed to be fore Gym was very barebones basic, no way to wipe down machines, one day no towels available - BUT I was able to get my basic cardio in and that's all I cared about for the week. If I got it for the room alone, this was 9/10. Had no issues except for being able to hear the family with kids above me banging around.

Breakfast was plentiful, good variety. The ac unit kept the room very comfortable. The front desk clerk was very friendly when we checked in.

I liked the cleanliness of the room, just need to pay more attention to cleaning the side of the toilets there were stains at the bottom as I looked over while sitting in the tub. Air conditioning was wonderful stayed cool all night and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was ok not too many choices to choose from. Breakfast attendant could’ve been more welcoming kinda gave weird vibes as she looked at my husband and didn’t say anything, made him felt uncomfortable. But the front desk worker from last night was very nice. Also they charged us 50 dollars incidental fee which we wasn’t aware of until we got to the property, would’ve been nice to know that before hand. Pool was closed so we couldn’t enjoy that but we did enjoy a little of the gym equipment. Will come back in the future🙂

The breakfast menu was very selective, hot, and tasteful. The room was clean and the staff was very professional and customer service oriented. The air conditioning was great in my room. I would highly recommend this hotel and certainly always pick it when I stay in the Memphis area.

Their breakfast is decently good they do have a variety. They have a pancake machine. They have better yogurt at this hotel. It’s super clean fresh. The only thing is is that there was a white girl at check-in time first thing in the morning and she denied me of checking in, stated that the hotel was completely packed even though their parking lot did not look like it. She wouldn’t allow me to check in early and we were there for basketball tournament games. I also requested when I first booked the hotel months ago that I needed an early check-in because we normally play earlier in the day. So I arrived at the hotel at 10 AM and she made me wait until literally check-in time at 3 PM. So if you plan on arriving early and trying to get settled is not about to happen here so be careful and do not schedule anything if you can’t check in early because it definitely messed our trip up. Other than that, it was great when I came back to actually check in there was a Black Girl there and she was extremely nice quick and effective so I do appreciate person number two being nice because the first lady was rude.

The blinds in our room didn't work. The breakfast was ok, there was not a lot to choose from and when I ask for more half and half the lady told they didn’t have anymore. The employees on the front desk were very friendly and helpful!

Great check in experience. Tiffany was wonderful and very accommodating to our requests for a top floor not facing the Highway. Comfy bed and pillows and very spacious and clean. Would absolutely recommend.

The only negative was the hot breakfast items were the same for the first three days of our stay, on the fourth day it changed slightly. I wish it was a little different every day. Otherwise this was a quiet, clean hotel and I highly recommend! Great value!

I checked in on March 24, 2026, and found the carpet soaking wet with a strong detergent smell throughout the room. I reported it to the front desk, but they said they didn’t know what to do. The hotel was fully booked, and no alternative room was offered. No one was sent to dry the carpet, and I had to request towels myself. It was very late, and leaving would have meant losing money. I was also traveling with young children, which made the wet carpet and chemical smell even more concerning. After Expedia contacted the hotel on my behalf, the hotel refused refund and refused any compensation, and reacted as if there was nothing wrong from their side. Very disappointed with the room condition and the lack of responsibility and customer care. This experience was far below expected hotel standards.

Pool was not open for my visit but main thing was when I turned the tv on and a roach crawled out the back I freaked out!!!! I usually love staying here literally don’t go no where else when in town but I see someone left something behind so I won’t be returning. I don’t DO BUGS!!!! && also the electricity was off in the whole hotel one morning so I couldn’t see to go to the bathroom stubbed my toe smh just was not a good stay this time! Please do better .

The location was perfect for our purpose of travel, close to the medical center needed, and wonderfully quiet overnight, despite having a window view of the highway.

Staff was rude and uncompromising turn me away from my reserved room because of road conditions and traffic causing me to show up about 4:00 a.m. from a long trip instead of honoring my reservation then instead told me that I would be able to pay for another room at a higher price than what I originally paid if I wanted to stay there and that I would be refunded by the third party that I used at some point. I would never recommend this place and I would never think to stay at another Holiday at all. They ever ruined it for me

1) needs variety of breakfast, same menu was served for our entire stay. 2) needs exterminator to take care of ants crawling all over the desk. 3) Room service phone is not working. 4) the place smelled like a cannabis dispensary, we thought it was a no smoking place and yet when we got out of the room, we could smell marijuana smoke .

The room was clean. We stopped late and left early, but I would stay there again. The tv needed to be adjusted, everything was blue, also the window coverings could not be opened.

First night was a nightmare, I go to take a shower and the water coming out is brown. I call the office and the phone in the room not working. So, I have to look up the hotel number because the phone in room doesn’t have it. They say they are having other complaints about the water too, and will look into it. I try to use the smallest microwave ever!! And when tried to use it, it starts sparking with nothing in it. Call down to office, someone brings another microwave, and talk to maintenance guy, and he tells me this isn’t the only problems here, go figure …!!! I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone just to save a little money. Come to find out that this property was purchased just six months prior to my arrival. I think the people bought the property didn’t have an inspection at all done because I asked to be close to an elevator. The elevator of course was broken and I had to walk clear across the property to the other elevator. I was on the fifth floor next to the elevator that was broken inside the wall clear across the building again to get back to my room. Going up the only elevator that works when it got close to the fifth floor it shook and rattled and sound like it was gonna fall before we got to the top. The whole hotel on ground floor and the fifth floor when getting off the elevator was crazy cold. The breakfast that they provided was probably mixed with the water for coffee I wouldn’t recommend drinking. Because the water was the same color as the coffee

Nice place, big room. Clean. Nice shower. The only downfall was the tv in the room was bad, not a deal breaker but the colors on it were messed up like it was going out.

The room was nice and clean. The service was good except for the breakfast. The breakfast was OK but the lady had trouble keeping food available. So many standing around waiting for it to be refilled. It became a waste of time at some point so we just went out. The hotel is in a fairly decent location and a lot of restaurants available close by.

Room was clean and everything worked as it should. The breakfast was good but not as good as other Holiday Inn Express locations that I have eaten at in the past. The room has a chaise lounge in it that is uncomfortable and impractical. A regular chair would be a lot more comfortable. But overall a good hotel that is better than most.

Typical HI x room. Perhaps better cond than some. Updated bath with large quartz vanity & shower stall. Keurig, very large tv (65”). Love the soft & firm pillows. HVAC worked well and quiet. Spancrete building so very quiet. Best door closer in the business, quiet and complete without the typical door slam. Decent breakfast with good sausage gravy & biscuits and excellent warm cinnamon rolls. C grade eggs. Excellent coffee. They use a Costa coffee system that grinds the beans and brews for each cup. Great coffee and pretty quick with 2 machines available at most locations. The only major problem was a cockroach in the room on morning as we were leaving. Hopefully not a bigger problem.

have stayed in this hotel many times for business and have consistently been impressed with the cleanliness, the comfort, friendliness of employees, quality of the breakfast offered. It's location gives easy access to interstate and areas of shopping and restaurants nearby (but not walking distance really)

Every staff member I came in contact with was very friendly and helpful! Overall the hotel is clean. Elevator is very slow. Breakfast was not that great. The eggs were watery and the biscuits were not soft or fluffy. We ended up eating breakfast out due to the food quality on the other mornings.

Overall the hotel was clean and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. I liked that the bathroom had Dove products, hand soap and lotion which was located on the wall by the bathroom sink and shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the shower wall. We were not pleased that we left for an outing and came back and the room had not been cleaned. Went to the front desk to make them aware and requested that we want the room cleaned the next day. Meantime in order to get fresh towels we had to bring the used towels to the front desk in order to get fresh towels. The next day noticed the cleaning woman at a room down the hall working her way in the opposite direction of our room. I approached her and she could not her me as she had earplugs in and a man from the cleaning staff had to get her attention in Spanish. The woman did not speak any English. Upon trying to speak to her she radioed another woman who spoke little English but enough to understand what I was trying to convey. She went on to say that our room was not on the list to be cleaned. Went down to the front desk and spoke again to person at desk and they stated the room was in fact on the list to be cleaned. Upon our exit from the room a woman was in the hall and kept saying “I am going to clean your room.” We said “thank you and left for the day. When we came back we could see linen had been changed and new towels were there. The pictures are showing how she replaced towels and how sloppy bed was made.

Clean and quiet

By the third night, my vehicle was broken into and my wallet was stolen. The hotel staff refused to check the security cameras, even after the police asked. They said they would “look into it in a few days.” That’s not how you handle theft or guest safety. I had flown in for this trip and was suddenly stranded without my ID, credit cards, or any help from the hotel. No offer of assistance, no urgency, and no concern for a paying guest left in an awful situation. If you value cleanliness, security, or even basic customer service, stay anywhere else. This place is unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unhelpful when things go wrong.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool was still open in mid September which was nice! Our room only had 2 towels and they weren’t replaced after the first night. But when I asked for more at front desk, she gladly supplied me with some. The breakfast both mornings was lacking. Not much to choose from, waited for hot food. No cups for juice, nothing in fridge such as yogurt on 2nd morning, and the milk for cereal was frozen. The rooms are spacious and nice, although dark. I wish the fan worked in the bathroom but they never have when I’ve stayed here (multiple times for sports). I would love the breakfast to get up to speed. Overall, very convenient location and friendly staff.

The staff is pleasant, room was clean. We were here for a family reunion and the only thing I regret is that we didn’t get a hotel closer to downtown Memphis/ Beale Street area.

Staff was friendly. Clean hotel. The exercise room was always available. I was able to do my laundry in peace. Our room was clean; however the sheets were not. Also, I saw a few small bugs. They could have been ants. Again we left the room as clean as we found it. Great breakfast, and awesome attendents serving breakfast. I would stay again.

The motel was clean and the staff friendly. I didn't like the bed. Too soft. The breakfast bar was really good. It was very close to the facility i had business at and have more business coming up soon so will be staying there again.

The first room they put us in the air conditioner, wouldn’t work, but whenever I pulled out the hidebed there was food under it and a lid that goes to a Slurpee cup so I asked them to move us to another room, which was a little bit more of an improvement, but the hideaway bed had no sheets and the sheet that was on the bed look old and used -

Clean rooms but don't come for the breakfast! Saturday morning served cold eggs, sausage and nothing else. No pancakes, no pastries, no oatmeal, no yogurt, only a couple apples, watered down juice. Very disappointed. All of these items were advertised and space was provided for them, they were just not out. 2 workers said they ran out or did not arrive on the delivery truck and that this typically happens. We appreciate the clean room but we also booked this place based on the advertisement of a good hot breakfast. The pictures are very misleading.

Private location on side street but road is rough. Elevator broke on second day and I had to walk up three flights of stairs. I don’t do stairs well at my age. Breakfast was okay but limited. Key cards didn’t work on third day. Adequate stay

Your stay comes with breakfast but it was unavailable when I stayed so I’m unsure what they offer. Parking loops around the building and I loved it. I was able to see our vehicle from our window. The area was pretty safe though. Sheriffs would be outside at night patrolling sometimes also. Overall experience was excellent. Room and staff was good. I will definitely book this hotel again the next time i need to visit Memphis.

We stayed for one night on a cross country trip. The fitness room was great and open 24/7 which allowed us a late check in and do a workout to get the kinks out before getting an awesome night's sleep. Easy on and off the interstate! Everything was clean and breakfast was hot and ready in the morning. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel. Clean and spacious. Got a king size bed it was extremely comfortable. Best night sleep we’ve had in a while. On the contrary the sofa bed was uncomfortable for the kids. They put mattresses on floor and tried to make it through the night. Breakfast was the main reason we booked this location. It was not what was described and pictured. They had biscuit, eggs and sausages. Milk was frozen. Tiny pancakes that were uncooked and not edible.

Check in went smoothly. Friendly staff. Convenient area. Clean room. Clean amenities. 100% all around.

I like it’s close to the highway, quiet and safe area, rooms are good size, clean.

The other businesses need to clean around their properties

It felt like someone spilt a bottle of fabuloso all over the room. Our car now smells like it from our suitcase being in there overnight. It was overpowering to say the least! Otherwise it was a typical hotel experience.

Have stayed here numerous times when my daughter visits her Dr in Memphis. Facility is clean, beds are great, staff friendly!!

The amenities and rooms were exceptionally clean and equipped with modern appliances and furniture. The rooms were exactly as shown on the website. The housekeepers were very available daily, and they did an excellent job with making sure that I had plenty of linens and toiletries. Hot and freshly cooked breakfast was available every morning, along with complimentary coffee and tea. The food was delicious! There were plenty of breakfast options to choose from. I also enjoyed spending time in the gym, as well as relaxing in the pool. Both allowed 24 hour access, which was an added bonus! I highly recommend the Southwind location. Whenever I’m in Memphis, this property will be my first choice for a hotel stay!

The sofa bed was filled with chips, cheetos, wrappers, microwave was not cleaned. Stayed 2 nights, both morning's (a Tuesday and Wednesday) there was NO breakfast left at 8:30am when breakfast runs until 9:30 or supposed too.

It was a 5 minute check in at the most and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

Easy to find and park. Solid breakfast. Pool was nice, but not very big. Room was spacious, but fold out couch bed had a large stain. Normal bed mattresses were okay.

Check in was quick, they had our key ready for us. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. However, if you're expecting breakfast get down there very early. Hours are from 6:30-9:30... We went down at 9 and they were out of everything... Including milk for cereal! No juice...no nothing....1 apple lol...so, if you're looking for a comfortable room this is a great place if you can skip the free breakfast.

It was a dull experience. While the hotel was clean and the room was great- the breakfast experience was disappointing . No coffee, no coffee cups, broken toaster, no fruit, no pastries - way before closing time. If I were in charge I would have had an employee run over to the nearby Costco to make a quick supply pickup. Hospitality was lacking. I would have enjoyed a swim but there was a group of people hanging out with loud voices and music. Not inviting.

Terrible experience, nasty bathroom, left over used pad in trash can, no towels in the bathroom, not enough towels for guest when I did receive towels.

I would not stay here again. We had 1 towel for 5 people. There was nothing for breakfast reallyand we didnt go down towards the end we went in the middle and they had ran out of everything. They overbooked and we didnt get a big enough room for all of us the first night so we "fit" on one king bed for the night with all of us, 2 kids, 3 adults. I would not stay here again unless they get their stuff figured out.

The hotel was not very organized. They were out of kleenexs for the bathroom and only gave 2 towels for 3 people staying. Breakfast was eh. Pancake machine didn't work. Didn't have bowls for breakfast.

The property was decent. Staff not very helpful when asked for an.extra towel was told not sure if we have one. Left early the next day and wondered if we could take a danish/pastry with us, and was told we are all out of those. Lady at the guest asked me if I needed two beds for my stay (what I booked for). When I replied yes she became frustrated stating she was about to turn off bookings for third parties because it was allowing people to book for rooms that they didn’t have and went on to say that they had been booked for a week even though my reservation was booked the week prior. I was getting the impression that my room wasn’t available. Then she “found” a double queen room and told me I could have it. Once we got in the room there was hair noted on the sheets along with stains on them. Upon going in the restroom there was hair on the counter as well as in the tub and on the shower curtain. The next morning breakfast was very scarce and the juice machine was out of order. Definitely not the best hotel stay I’ve had in a while. Wouldn’t recommend May 2025
