    Nothing about this stay was acceptable The mold throughout the room.. The broken floor tiles... The drug addicts sitting right outside of our room totally unsafe no security.and it was a frightening experience for my children to walk out and see this.. I was charged a $100 deposit and put in the worst room on the property with my children.. I had to take my daughter's to the ER behind staying here and that's what I paid a $100 deposit for..!!?? I didn't think to take pictures but you can certainly go at anytime of day and see this for yourself...

    This hoe-tel was bogus asf. Don’t do yourself like that! They got mold on ceilings and in the shower. The doorbell broke, the worker take they sweet ass time answering and they inconsiderate asf about if you have kids and truly need to be shut down

    Everything was working properly except that the faucet left water on bathroom countertop—the handicap room was helpful to us, but the carpet was in very bad shape, the room had a bad odor, and there were no trash cans in the room. We’ve been away from home for a month, and this was our most disappointing experience. I doubt very much that we’ll ever stay here again.

    Bathroom is a tight fit. Ants were on the bathroom counter, and in the tub. It was ok for an overnight stay. We've stayed here several times. This is the first time we've seen sugar ants. Hotels.com says they have vegetarian breakfast but they don't have breakfast at all. There is a nearby waffle house and a McDonald's. Coffee pot in room makes decent coffee.

    Paid for the room online. Big mistake.No Refund!! No internet!! Phone didn’t work. They wouldn’t give me another room. The sheets and pillows were dirty, burgundy or red strands of hair were in the sink an on one face tile. And the chair. So grossed out they even left Feces in the toilet, the tub was dirty. A roach came from under the night stand and ran back before I could even get my shoe. Urine and smelly water in the stairwell. Very disgusting and disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend that place.

    I am a travel nurse at the children’s hospital here in Memphis and booked the room for 3 nights. I work night shift and was traveling in the afternoon of my first shift and was involved in a car accident. I called and emailed the hotel to let them know I wouldn’t be arriving the first night of my reservation. The lady was very rude in the phone and told me to call Expedia. I did and Expedia called them back and she did Expedia the same way. The next day I contacted Expedia again about the next two nights I had paid for and they spoke to the manager and he told them I was a no show and they would not be honoring the rooms for the nights I had paid for. So, they took my money and refused to let me have a room. Too bad. I travel in every week and stay 3 nights. They lost my business forever.

    Entire room had stains from the bed to the ceiling. Every wall had a stain. There was an obvious hole in the wall that had been previously patched. Numerous random people walking around and sitting on the steps that obviously didn’t have a room there. They were just using the free WiFi.

    I booked an accessible room. Upon check in I was notified there was none available. Since I had chosen the option due to recent surgery, I was not happy. I stayed and 'made do' but I would not recommend this property due to the bait and switch. If you do not have the type of room available then do not list it on the site as available.

    There was no pet area. I booked a non smoking room and the room was very obviously a smoking room as it reeked of cigarette smoke and the walls were riddled with smoke damage. The place was also very poorly cleaned with blood on the walls and hair and stains all over the sheets and bugs everywhere. The staff was never at the desk. I had to wait for ten minutes at the desk and then walk around and find a worker to help reactivate my key when they shut it off hours before my check out time. This place and this room was a nightmare. If it is possible for me to get a refund I would love one because this experience was miserable.

    Sadly this is the first motel I have stayed at. I usually stay at hotels like the Hilton family or IHG. I like feeling safe. This place was not safe even during the day time. Also, sadly, I’ve stayed at two other motels since this stay and everyone was amazing compared to this disgraceful place. Stay anywhere else. I’ve heard everyone say extended stay America is the same price, (I called and they were amazing), anywhere is better than these horrible mean people that clearly it’s a family. How do I know, they’re all incredibly mean and no diversity. I love family owned, but only if they at least treat me like a human. When I’m treated like I’m scum just because I am staying there, that’s incredibly disgusting and sad.

    I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels… this was the WORST hotel room I’ve ever had. At check in I was informed there would be a $100 security deposit (there was no mention of this during booking). My girlfriend and I get to the room (Room 239), and not only does the A/C not work, but it was leaking so half the floor was SOAKED! The tv didn’t work, the shower and bathroom were both tiny, AND the WiFi didn’t work! There were also crackheads hanging out ON the property! This hotel has no business even being open for business! WORST PLACE EVER!

    The room was rough, holes punched in the walls and generally deteriorated. The bed was clean and the microwave and stove worked, but the neighborhood was rough, the room beside the office where the ice machine was located looked like it had a bad termite problem. I only took a few things inside. But worst if all they demanded a $100 deposit even though I had prepaid the room. I've never been asked for a cash deposit anywhere before, and I was especially offended to be asked for one to stay in a dump. Definitely will never be back, and because of this experience I will take the time to read reviews before booking any motel. Very poor. I gave 2 stars because they did give my cash deposit back, but yeesh!

    Went in and went straight to the bathroom. There was very little tissue in there and roaches in the tub. The man at the front desk gave my boyfriend a hard time about giving us tissue. Said he was out then left and came back with a roll after my boyfriend said he was going to go to the store to get some. It was weird. Curtains and walls dirty asf. Tv service absolutely sucks.

    The hotel looks nothing like the picture. It was very dark and in an insecure area. even the hotel staff are behind closed locked doors at 5 in the afternoon and have to unlock for you to enter. The only amenities they offer is Coffee but it too is behind locked door. The smell of weed was so overwhelming, and the transients hanging around made us feel very uncomfortable. I had to give $100 dollar deposit and was unsure if I would get back. Avoid this place especially if you are traveling with children.

    I did two reservations and when I got there for some odd reason they were canceled no explanation what so ever the man who was in the lobby was yelling at me before me there was another man and he was also yelling at him. He had white hair and glasses he seem very tired and frustrated but if you where there all night and because of you’re age you can’t handle it doesn’t give you the right to treat people like that. I was just yelled at and was told it’s canceled no explanation not trying to help at all never had any experience like this one before EXTREMELY HORRIBLE.

The area around the hotel was safe and quiet, and my room was clean and odor-free. Housekeeping was reliable, consistently providing fresh towels daily and making the bed every few days. The TV channel selection was limited, and I missed out on the NBA playoffs, but this is more of a personal inconvenience than a fault of the hotel. For the price per night compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in over the past two months in Memphis, the Red Roof Inn provided superior service and room features. The air conditioning was effective, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel’s location was also convenient, with a Cracker Barrel next door, which was perfect for me as a traveling electrician needing a hot meal. Additionally, everything I needed was within a five-minute drive, and the hotel was just 30 minutes from my work site and right off the highway. Overall, the Red Roof Inn met most of my preferences and expectations at a reasonable price. I would rate my experience at 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5.

    Desk attendant was not helpful. He was a bit hard to understand so whenever i would ask to repeat himself he would get visibly frustrated. Did not tell me anything about the property like where to find the ice machine and whatnot. Room and bathroom was dirty and had a broken safety lock as well as poor tv quality. There were only about 6 watchable channels out of the so called 36 they claim they have available.

    The only thing good about my stay is that the bed was comfortable and the TV have a wonderful channels, but other than that I did not like you the charger ports for the UBS cord did not work at all Also, when I came into the room and use the restroom, there were a roach in my toilet, and throughout this day, I say more roaches the water in the shower did not at all get home. The water in the sink was much harder than what was in the shower and the shower was not great at all. It only spilled fares point penetrating water. No I would never ever come there again. Worst experience ever.

    Worked for our needs of a cheap place on east side of Memphis for a base while seeing some sights. A bit run down but beds decent and important stuff worked. Appeared to be family run.     When I arrived the man in the lobby was extremely RUDE. He just asked for my card and Id then proceeded to hand me my room key and NOT TELL ME WHY ROOM NUMBER. He just wrote it down and handed it me. Then it’s ROACHES EVERYWHERE, PREGNANT ROACHES, FAMILY ROACHES, FAMILY REUNION ROACHES , VETERAN ROACHES ALL UP THE WALL. THE TRASH OUTSIDE MADE THE ENTIRE STAY UNPLEASANT. I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH YOU GUYS AGAIN.

    There was 2 inches of dirt caked on the uncovered light fixture in the bedroom. The staff was rude and rushed us out prior to check out time. I will never stay here again.

    Terrible! Very run down, room smelled strongly of mold. Had to put a $100 deposit down plus cost of the room. Did not feel safe at all, several people throughout the night walking past my door and standing in front of my door talking. I would have left but afraid to go outside there after it was dark. I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and it seemed fine, not now. I’ll not stay there again.

    The room was sub-par. There were at least five large tears in the curtains allowing people to see into the room. The door had been kicked in a couple of times and repaired badly. There were no working chains or safety brackets on the door. There was an innumerable amount of flying insects and fleas in the room. There were missing tiles between the bathroom and room area. There were unsavory characters walking about throughout the night and early morning hours. I have pictures, but see no place to upload them. I would not recommend anyone staying here.

    Stay away from this hotel and area!! Our truck and trailer were broken into and items were stolen. According to the police it is VERY common. Room was supposed to be non smoking but definitely had been smoked in. Air did not work. Reviews on Expedia and other sites are way wrong!! Horrible experience!

    Staff was on the phone the whole time i checked in. Not sure when he was talking to me or not, found a couple of bugs in the room , ask the front desk to change room , to be told they are all the same . It wont get any better. Check out was rushed by staff to know what room and if i left anything. 3 different staff members talked to me at the same time asking different questikns.

    Gave me a key to a room. Walked in and it was never cleaned from previous occupant. Walk back to front desk and he gives me a different room key. Asked it it was cleaned and he said “he has no idea.” Good grief. Luckily it was cleaned. Spent night and woke up early for checkout. Waited 10 minutes in the lobby because there was no customer service rep. I was not leaving without my cash deposit so had to wait. I feel like they collect cash only deposits hoping people will forget to ask for their deposit back. Crap hotel, crap customer service. Go elsewhere.

    The night manager at the front desk was very unprofessional and rude. They wanted a $100 CASH deposit for the room but would NOT give a receipt. He spoke to me rudely and told me to read the sign in English until I understood what was written on it.
