    My room here was canceled by the hotel and I was unaware. My family and I drove over 500 miles to Tennessee and we didn’t have a room to stay in. Spring Hill Suites Memphis East- Galleria owes me for my complete hotel stay. I have an email that was sent on 11/11/25 stating that they had to urgently cancel my room for an unforeseen event that has occurred with the military. They stated that they have sent the cancellation to Expedia advising as this was not a personal cancellation. This is totally on the hotel itself.     This property was absolutely disgusting. The room was old and nasty. The paint was piling off the walls. There were cracks in the ceiling. Everything was either rusty and dirty. The room had an awful smell. The bedding, the floors and the furniture looked decades old and so nasty. Immediately left the room and requested a FULL refund… still waiting on the funds to release from my credit card. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! The pictures are deceitful!

    It was filthy, smelled like cigarette smoke and the smoke detectors had veen pulled out of the ceiling. The second room they moved me to smelled like urine. The third one was clean, but the tv didnt work and it was very noisy. I will never stay there again.

    This property had roaches in the mini refrigerators, ants, mold in the bathrooms, gnats in the rooms, stains all over the room floor, doors that you can look through and see the hallway, and smoked out rooms covered up with fragrance. This hotel is horrible and is no better than staying in a 0 star motel room.

    The Expedia description for this property is deceptive and inaccurate. It states "guest can use a nearby fitness center (free access)". This is not true, the only fitness option is a small fitness room inside the hotel with very limited equipment. This was the deciding factor for me selecting this hotel, so I was very disappointed to find out it was false. I don't appreciate being lied to.

    We stay here each time we take daughter back to college. The room is spacious. The beds are comfy and ac works great. The carpet in the room had some big red stains like paint. Breakfast is ok. Not a big selection but it’s ok.

    The staff was really nice, but it was no good. I had to switch my room right when I got there because it was wet all around the side of one side of the bed/room. Switched my room and it was the same situation. Towels appeared dirty, and the hallways reeked of marijuana. The breakfast was awful.

    Stayed here because of the 8.0 hotels.com rating, price and location. I think the 8.0 rating is a holdover from better days. The fitted sheet had a gray spotted area that looked like old mildew. There was a bundled power cord and piece of equipment plugged into a hall power outlet and laying about halfway across the hall to our room. One of the emergency light fixtures in the hall was buzzing. There was water on the floor in the exercise room. There was water on the floor in the first floor hallway with a sign warning about wet floor. The toilet in our room had a ring and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Tile was coming away from the wall several places around the floor of the bathroom. There was stuff on the floor that made it look like the room hadn't been vacuumed before we arrive. The next morning there was a sticky wet area at one of the exits to the parking lot. The dryer didn't work but at least it had an out of order sign. The first floor ice maker didn't work and didn't have a sign. I heard a guest telling another guest the ice maker on the third floor worked. When I was walking the hallways looking for ice I saw at least 6 doors propped open with the security latch and two doors with the handles remove and one with the handle in place and the lock cylinder removed.

    I asked for my room to be comped. She said that was up to the main manager. I asked for a way to contact the corp manager. I was told that she couldn’t give out that info, but she would let them know. This morning I spoke to a different manager there. She said that she heard what happened. She gave me the corp managers phone# & email. I will be contacting them in the next couple of days, but really, they should be contacting me.

    This property was horrible. Would not recommend. Arrived and computers were down and was sent across the street to the Fairfield Inn and was charged again for the run (finally got the charge reversed). Room was very hot and uncomfortable and staff was rude at both properties.

    Overall I wasn’t happy with my stay at Springhill Suites. Dryer broke down, 3 red spots on carpet in the room, shower rod coming out the wall, tub stopper broken off to the side & the phone in my room never worked so if something happen I couldn’t call the front desk. Male at the front desk when I checked I told him I didn’t want any room service, but they came in my room when I wasn’t there. None of the room had DO NOT DISTURB door tags. On July 10th around 9:45pm a stranger unlocks my door & came straight into my room I was so scared after a screamed they said sorry they was in wrong room. I was scared for my life. I go down to the front desk told the employee Priya that program my room to someone else and all she said was she was sorry. That is unacceptable, so on Saturday I told weekend front desk employee BJ (which is a very good employee) what happened. BJ informed me the manager would be Monday and I should talk to her. I thanked him and I called Hotel.com to complain and to be Compensated for my room. Then on Sunday I told BJ that I didn’t want any room service he wrote it down & said no one will go in your room. When we came back and went to my room I noticed that trashed was empty & I had new towels. Now I’m pissed went to the front tell BJ housekeeping came in my room. He’s upset called for the housekeeping supervisor that doesn’t speak English had to use an app to translate what was said. She said no one came in the room. A mess, I just want to be Compensated!

    At check in i was told the pool was closed and when i said that was the whole reason i was staying was for the pool so she said let her check on something and came back and said the pool was open but the hot tub was closed which was obvious by the tarp over it. I should have walked out right then but didnt. The pool was SO GROSS!!! Then the full length mirror behind the bathroom door was filthy with kids handprints and then in the middle of the night i was going move to the other bed and i pulled back the blanket and there was a sock in the bed needless to say i scooted my grandson over and laid back down with him.

    Well, the pool was out of service. The wall paper was literally peeling off the walls in the bathroom. The shower chair was rusted and gross. My 8 year old son almost slipped and fell because of the shower situation.

    First swimming pool was closed there was no mention of this on the site. Then they did offer to let you use the sister pool next door but from the looks of it that pool should have been closed as well . The pool was nasty cloudy steps to get in was broken, hot tub area was taped off with caution tape. No thank you !!! Let’s get on the towels when we arrived there was only a set of 2 towels in a room of 4 people. Per the front desk towels are being washed and won’t be ready for hours (this was around 9 pm ish) ok . No towels that night next morning request for towels again per front desk guess what yes still being washed !!!!! Finally got towels around 10 ish. Will not recommend will not stay again .

    Terrible.. not clean, no manager, rooms all had issues. I changed rooms 3 times. No water in one toilet, shower not working, no ac, no ceiling fan remote, black mold in shower ceiling, wallpaper coming off, no baseboards, elevator button holding up by tape, asked upon check in if we had prepaid i told them yes we used hotels.com they kept asking me when we had confirmation info from your app. Manager not on duty to help, asked for manager business card they didnt have one and gave me one and hand wrote info. Never has marriott had a terrible place like this.... your picture upload will not work here but i have them and will report.to corporate too.

    It was an okay hotel, fine for a one-night stay. The cleanliness was lacking, and when we got into our room, it smelled strongly of food. We could hear our neighbor using the microwave, and there were stains on the ground. The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall. Overall, it was okay, but definitely not something I’d be willing to stay in again.

    The hotel was perfect for our one night stay for a family event. It’s next to the mall and plenty of eating places in walking distances. Their pool is out of Order but we were able to go to Fairfield Inn that is literally 500 steps away. Great stay, tall African American guy with dreads checked us in and he was extremely helpful and polite. We will definitely stay here again. Nice area.

    This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. The hotel was dirty, the staff was extremely rude, and they tried to cancel my reservation that I have for two days by telling me I didn’t check in in time at 11 PM. We’ll never stay here again and we’ll take all my employees and business elsewhere from here on out.

    It was a really nice trip. I was surprised that the hotel had absolutely no ice machines on either floor! We had the ice bucket but were to.d to go to the other Marriott hotel to get ice. That was the only glitch we experienced. All in all I would come back and I have recommended this hotel to other family members.

    I was happy with the hotel until I saw mold around the shower faucet. I didn’t see it until I started my shower, but at that point I didn’t want to change rooms. I went and purchased a swimsuit to enjoy some time in the spa, but it was covered with plastic and out of order.

    Other than that, although the property may be undergoing renovation, the room was updated and nice, but lacking in bed bug protective covers, the hallway carpeting was visibily worn and stained and an ugly grey-green color. The spa advertised in the pool area is undergoing renovation and IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Another lie from their list of amenities. Their breakfast, the friendly staff, and the updated rooms were about the only nice part of our stay. Instead of charging around $100/night for these rooms, the appearance and amenities provided are more in line with hotels that charge around $70/night.

    I reserved 2 rooms. 1 room was infested with moths. We went to the front desk and they found us another room. Then we discovered they we needed toilet paper in both rooms. We went to the front desk and they said we had to wait for the cleaning people to get toilet paper and the front desk could give us any. Very disappointed.

    Definitely not worth the money. Very dirty and dingy. Walked into room to discover TV on, bed unmade, towel on floor, and blanket on couch. Had to request a different room. New room had terrible mildew smell, dirty carpet with a huge stain, air would not work. Very disappointing. Will never stay here again.

    The property seems in desperate need of updating. The room was fairly clean but the bathroom was very old, stains on the sofa, and electrical conduit running overhead. The breakfast was subpar- not many offerings (no pastries) and they started cleaning up before 9 am. It was was ok for a one night stay but I probably wouldn’t stay there again without an update.

    Overall it was a nice one night stay but the hotel was a little dated. The toilet paper holders in our bathroom had been installed sloppy and the shower drain had signs of rust. The breakfast area was well kept with typical fare (powder eggs, diced potatoes and bacon, muffins, bagels, etc.). Front desk were friendly and helpful.

    Front desk staff didn’t know what a crib or pack n play was (even though I called before check in to request one). It took them about 10 minutes and 5 employees to figure it out. The room was disgusting…bloodstains on sheets, mildew in tub, old food on the floor. Hot tub was broken and pool wasn’t usable because chlorine fumes were so bad. Breakfast wasn’t even a breakfast. Zero fruit or yogurt options. They offered bagels but no cream cheese. They offered salsa and cheese but no eggs. This was at 7 am and according to another guest, the breakfast had been just as horrible the last several days. Can’t believe this was considered a Marriott hotel. So embarrassing for them.

    Couch was stained and bathroom wasdirty. There were several repairs that needed to be down mostly cosmetic. The free breakfast was basically cereal because the people that prepare the food didn’t show up both days we stay there. Poor management. Stay away from this hotel worst experience we’ve had yet.

    Pretty solid stay! Room was clean, check in was easy. Just needed a stay for one night so it definitely did the job. Definitely a bit of an older building but not problematic. Employees were friendly and helpful.

    For the most part, the hotel is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room comfortable and clean. My only issue is the hallway on the third floor by our room need to be vacuumed. Also, the carpet by the 3rd floor elevator filthy and completely frayed. Those aside, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Very dirty, stains on the linens. Dirty door frame, couch was very dirty and stained, mirror was spotted.Hallways were stained and tile work were dirty with spilled liquid.
