Reviews
The hotel receives generally positive reviews for its location, staff, and cleanliness. However, there are consistent complaints about the size of the rooms, lack of amenities, and issues with housekeeping.
- Convenient location near the beach and restaurants
- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Small rooms with limited storage space
- Inconsistent housekeeping and maintenance

Dirty room, tv at the bar didn't work, and the tv's that did work did not have any channels that had the NBA finals. Lights flickering at the bar. Not the most pleasant staff. Overall, poorly managed hotel and will not be going back.

Especially that nonsense about towels, they ALL were wet, definitely used by previous customers, didn't wash and dry after! That guy found only 1 dry, but I could smell someone used it before!

The guest were friendly as well , we all had a great time in the bar and lounge we were rained in and the staff accommodated all of us with good music , we ate, drank 😜 played pool and sang the night away. Love it. This will forever be my go to when visiting Miami!!! Whooooo hooooo! 100 stars 🌟 for me

Staff was very friendly and room was very clean. Middle of the night I heard pumping noise and woke me up.

We had to wait for the previous guest to leave because they requested a late check out, it was after 5pm before we got into our room only to find out we didn’t get the king bed we reserved but 2 queens instead. The room layout was very awkward, the “living room” had no lighting, the couch faced the beds and the tv couldn’t be turned so you couldn’t watch the tv comfortably. The flooring was cheap looking vinyl planks that you could see the buckling. The bathroom had no counter space. The pool deck had a great view but not much else. The pool was small, the bar was smaller and it was all only open from sunrise to sunset. It wasn’t worth the money we spent and to top it off when we asked them to call a cab for us when we checked out, they called a private driver that charged us an exorbitant amount for a pretty quick drive. Very disappointed all the way around with this stay. Lesson learned

The staff allowed us to check in early which is really good of them however the first room had blood all over the bathroom floor - staff was quick to change are room. Lots of signs showing charges for anyone who smokes in the hotel however all the way through the hotel it smelt of smoke and put us off having a drink in the lounge or having anything to eat - we did not make use of the facilities due to the smell around the hotel. The morning of check out as we was getting changed and organised for leaving and a maid just unlocked the room and walked in with also a "do not disturb" sign on the door. Location of the hotel is ok but the other end of Colins Avenue near Lincoln Road has much more going on shops and restaurants also close to Ocean drive and south beach. Overall opinion is you will find better service, clean and location hotels elsewhere on Colins Avenue for much cheaper rate per night & damage charge

The location of the hotel. Very close to the beach, starbucks and supermarket. The hotel provides complementary beach towels and sun loungers but the umbrella costs 35$. I had booked a room with a balcony but when I checked in I was provided a room with a common terrace where I could have no privacy as other guests could also use it. And besides I had to keep my curtains closed all the time so other people could not see me inside the room. I complained at the reception the same day trying to change my room but the issue was resolved only the next day at 1 pm. The hotel is a bit outdated and that’s why the prices are lower compared to other hotels in the neighborhood.

All was not good. The very first night of our stay we slept on a horrible blanket. Coming back for a late night event we were left to sleep with a torn and stained blanket. When it was reported at the main desk no one showed up to apologize . It was changed but that left a terrible taste of this place. Would not be choosing this place in the future.

Our stay was great! We highly recommend the room with the balcony and ocean view. The views were breathtaking. We did eat breakfast at the hotel, but Starbucks was attached to the hotel. Dinner was delicious from the hotel and there are other restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay there for our next visit!

- 2.5/5
Location was great, starbucks was handy as was the 100 bus stop close for travel The rooftop pool had hardly any sunbeds, most taken up by cabanas which no one wants to pay for. The bathroom could do with updating. Overall not the standard I would expect for £450 a night. At check in they insisted on taking a £300 deposit for any charges, stating it would be refunded upon check out. Upon checking my credit card, they took the £300. I spent NOTHING EXTRA. So I now have to dispute the payment with my credit card.

I truly recommend NOT to stay in this hotel. They have false advertising about breakfast included. They will charge you 20 dollars a day per person for breakfast. They charge 50 dollars for parking per day and 25 dollars just to stay in the hotel per person. They will ask for a 500 dollars deposit and when you check out they will not return that money to you. Me and my husband stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon and we reserved the room for two people. When we booked the hotel in the app it said that breakfast was included in the price but when we got to the breakfast the staff stopped us like if we were stealing food and that made us feel so unwelcome. Then they told us that they had to check the room and see if we had breakfast but they said that the room only came with one person breakfast not two even though we booked the room for two. So they kicked me out and told us that only one of us could eat here. That was the worse experience during our honeymoon. Do not stay in this hotel, there are better places you can stay.

I would like to have more tables and chairs at the pool area and more shades. I liked all. The staff were amazing, (from reception, bike reception, cleaning, pool, all perfect) especially Alisa at the reception, she is very professional, warm and excellent communicator, very helpful and perfect person for the position.

Staff is very helpful! they made the whole experience great
- 4.5/5
Great location. The beach is literally a three minute walk away. Staff is always helpful, smiling and pleasant while not intruding. The rooms are spacious compared to their peers in South Beach and they are functional eg lots of space to put your luggage on. I’m Coffee machine in the room, the rooftop pool with a decent view, sun beds on the beach and towels (you pay extra for the umbrella) are all amenities that we appreciated. I’m not fully sure but I think cleaning isn’t automatic ie you have to specifically ask them to clean your room. Not a huge deal.
- 2/5
Staff are nice but the experience didn’t fit the expectations and price.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and the room was clean.
- 1/5
The front desk was rude and hostile. They fumbled around with the computer and kept saying the rooms we were assigned were “out of order”. I asked do you mean the rooms aren’t ready and they said the rooms were ready but out of order therefore they would have to reassign our rooms. They were unable to explain the meaning of “out of order” and why that would impact our stay. Johnny at the front desk has no business working with the public. His hostility and behavior was appalling. I have stayed at numerous AC Marriotts for business and pleasure and have never had such a negative experience. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable and nice shower but we will NEVER stay at this location again. The manager Angel apologized for our experience but didn’t seemed surprised about our experience. The staff at the pool bar was dismissive and prioritized moving lounge chairs to providing customer service.

Checked out and asked the agent to split the final balance on two cards. He was taking forever and our uber arrived and said he would email us a final bill. I get the bill and he charged the whole balance to one card. When I landed back home I called and the girl on the phone couldnt figure it out. Then I got disconnected and called again and this guy was equally not understanding what I was asking. I worked in hotels over a decade, charging two cards on the final folio is not complicated. After telling him to split it equally he still overcharged one card and that’s just annoying. We both have a ton of pending charges from weird authorizations and don’t even know what we actually were charged. I’ve stayed in many Marriotts and have never had this problem. Just frustrating for what should’ve been an easy task.

This hotel needs minor cosmetic repairs throughout the property mostly bathroom hooks, toilet paper holders and towel racks. The mini fridge was plugged into an outlet with lights. Excellent customer service! Overall a fair economic stay.

Staff Has Great Hospitality, Very Welcoming , Place has an Awesome Rooftop View . Also it’s away from all the commotion and loudness of the strip but still walking distance so you can go enjoy yourself. Much Recommended !!

I was in heaven. The services where great and the staff. Thank you
- 5/5
Friendly & very helpful staff. One thing that stood out for me was the assistant manager took the time to send out a courtesy email during my stay. This thoughtful gesture made me feel personally welcomed and reassured that the team was dedicated to accommodating my needs. It’s not often you come across such attentive management. I will definitely be staying here again in the future. Thank you.

Staff very nice!! Too bad the dude I went with turned out to be an ass!
- 3/5
A lot of surprise fees & quite expensive. The lobby was clean but the elevators were a little messy on several occasions. Cab rides including Uber, yellow cabs & private taxis range between $15 to $30 to anywhere on Ocean Drive. The $25 a day resort fee is a bit much considering the cost of the rooms. With the resort fee you have access to 2 free beach chairs but the umbrella was $30! The $100 a night hold on my card required at check-in was also a surprise. Breakfast was just ok. The options were limited. It was either bacon or a plant based sausage or a $25 “buffet”. Spent $60 on a Belgian waffle & an omelette with potatoes, toast & meatless sausage. Oh and $7 for a 20 oz soda at the hotel store is just outrageous. The rooftop pool was gorgeous! Views were amazing. Good menu & food up there. Need more free lounge chairs & less cabanas for rent. The bar on the rooftop needs a tap to pay system instead of them taking a card before the order arrives. We booked a deluxe king with a city view and balcony. There was nothing ‘deluxe’ about the room. The bed was not a king (I have one at home), the view was of a residential building with the residents sometimes on their own balconies, bathroom could use some updating & almost nowhere to even hang up clothes. It’s a decent stay if you want to just relax & be away from the noise. I would stay again if the rates were a little lower.
- 3/5
When we arrived we stated to the front desk that someone in our party was not able to get on the elevator and that we would need access tot he stairwell . They gave us a really hard time trying to accommodate this. They had us go the the outside stairwell 4 times and the fob that they gave us did not work. the front desk staff was very rude and we had to explain to her several times that the fob did not allow us access to our room or tot he pool area. she finally walked with us for her to see that the was correct the fob did not allow us access . I called week prior rot this as well to inform the front desk of this and they said they would have placed this information in my acct for the front desk to be aware of this. Feel like evetime we had to ask for someone to open the side door for us it was a problem or they had no clue what we were talking about. The last day the lady that checked me out was very nice and efficient

You have to be careful with these 4 star hotels . They will try to scam your card and by the time you realize it’s time for checkout . I checked in @2pm paid n full Expedia , she charged my card a $654 deposit . When I asked the hotel staff to void the transaction , they basically try to say they don’t see the transaction in there system . It literally took me of accusing them of stealing my money for cooperate to go in the system and void it . The second night , the staff tried to charge my card 300$ at 2:34am . Thank god I keep my card locked . Is the hotel nice , yes ..do people treat you different depending on race YES … I see why black people don’t feel comfortable or welcomed trying to live outside of the racial standards.

I arrived around 330pm for check in at 4pm and wasnt checked in until closer to 5pm. The staff told me they didnt know when room would be ready as they were running behind. I just came from airport 9hr flight and this is not at all what i wanted to hear. After checking in with them if room was ready, they told me once again they would call me when ready and again didnt know when it would be ready. I was tired and upset and told them if room isnt ready by 5pm they need to find another accommodation for me. Suddenly 3min later the room is ready. Didnt feel any customer service recovery here at all. It felt like well its not our fault we are behind. Remote to TV not working well, TV freezes constantly. The room was older and needed work done. AC never went below 72. Chipped paint on walls, stains in bathroom, no bathroom air vent. Beach loungers do not come with umbrella you have to pay$30 extra for umbrella.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at the AC hotel. The one thing I would have preferred was a bigger balcony.
- 4/5
Good property
- 5/5
Had an excellent time! Will be back!
- 5/5
Nice property, decent price, very close to the beach. Check in staff was able to check us in early which was super appreciative because we were exhausted upon arrival. We didn’t try the breakfast buffet because $25 per person is pretty pricey but that’s not a make or break for me. Still giving 5 star!

My husband and I enjoyed the hotel, rooftop pool, room balcony, and the proximity to the beach. We truly enjoyed how close we were to all the sites, yet far enough to have a quite stay. We definitely plan to return.
- 4/5
The property was generally great overall. The one thing I didn't like was lack of viewing access for ABC network. It's NBA playoff season and there were games I wanted to watch but couldn't. Other than that, I'd stay here again.

- 4/5
Pros: overall the hotel staff was extremely kind and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and room was spacious enough. Beach access right across the street is included with your stay and beach area is super clean and away from the business of south beach but close enough of a walk to shops and restaurants. Stocked water everyday is a nice touch as well. Rooftop pool is beautiful with an nice view of the beach! Cons: sadly, no bath robes in the room. The sink splashed a bunch and caused a bit of a mess when washing hands but nothing you can’t handle. I did call down to front desk a few times for general questions and most of the time no one would answer. The walls are quite thin. On one side we could hear someone’s alarm going off early morning and another night our other neighbours who were there for a wedding woke us up at 4am with loud talking, music, and no regard for staying quiet. I tried to call down to front desk but no one answered so it did make 2/4 nights very difficult to sleep
- 3/5
The front desk staff were inexperienced and seemed to lack training for guest services. The breakfast offered was not appealing and expensive. The room came with two beach chairs but despite a $25 a day service fee, no umbrella was included and umbrella was an additional $32. The food at the roof deck was take out and expensive for what it was although the roof deck view was lovely Limited pool chaises unless you wanted to pay for a cabana type pool lounges. The Starbucks on the first level was convenient. There is a pungent scent in the lobby that is unappealing. Otherwise it was fine for the price. The beds were comfortable. The floors needed a good cleaning.
- 2/5
The room was fine but the coffee service wasn’t refilled every day and it cost $35.00 a day for a ‘facility fee’ for 2 bottles of water! The only actual ocean view was from the roof top pool. Which was nice, but you had to pay extra for shaded loungers. It felt like a rip off. 2 stars because I only had hot water for a shower one out of 3 days and when I complained to the front desk nothing was done. No repairs, no explanation. Find a better hotel that’s actually on the beach if you’re paying this much $

Excellent location—beach and great places to eat. The hotel is well-maintained and has a great staff.

Unfortunately, this one was not for me. The construction outside was not even the worst part. Not sure who designed the rooms. There is practically no closet space. No drawers. At first, I thought I was in a handicap room or something. There were benches in the room. No drawers whatsoever, neither in the room nor in the bathroom. The colors are very dark. Makes you feel like you are in a basement. The room was facing the building next-door. Right in front of our faces. The yellow building looks like a run-down motel. I had to wait for an hour to check-in. After all that wait, I was finally given the key just to find out that the lock was broken in the room that I was assigned to. They moved us to a different room when I asked in a few hours to move us back to the first room, I was told it was not possible. Don’t waste your time in the breakfast area, take that $100 to the French-looking café next block. I can go on and on and on.
- 5/5
All staff were welcoming and warm. Our housekeeper was amazing and always prompt. The construction made it difficult walk the sidewalk but everything else was wonderful!!!

- 4/5
Ok (not great) hotel with walk to beach access. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Construction debris outside, which limited access to hotel lobby. Could not tell what the construction was; nothing active while we were there. A lot of extra fees. Automatic ‘convenience’ fee of $25/day for 2 bottles of water, beach chairs, and bikes. Beach umbrellas were an extra $25/day. Small rooftop pool with limited lounge chairs; a lot of for-fee cabanas. Parking was $55/night.
- 4/5
great location, beach access area with 2 chairs reserved (until 4pm), nice maids and pool staff, free bike rentals, rooftop pool + bar, 24/7 access, hot shower water, room amenities, spacious room, great sunlight, nice bathroom very soft bed and pillows, noisy hallways at times, TV brightness super low (can't change), random morning knocks on your door (can't sleep in), window shades aren't full blackout, forgot to renew dirty room glass cups, staff member forgot to inform the next shift staff to call us when room as ready (no one ever called) and made our wait time much longer-2nd shift was nicer and enthusiastic
- 3/5
The pool was extremely small and shallow. We were also not impressed that they did not have helmets available with their bikes. Overall the place was okay but many nicer hotels around.
- 5/5
Loved that the beach was very close. The lobby was difficult to find from outside the hotel, very odd. We drove around the building twice trying to find the front. Loved Starbucks being downstairs on the corner. Breakfast was very nice. Liz at breakfast was excellent and so helpful! Loved our 2 balconies and the view.

Didn't get the room I paid for, which was very disappointing but overall, a nice stay staff was very very nice.

Suggest battery maintenance on hotel doors. Was locked out for moments but engineering came and fixed it

The staff was so friendly. They allowed us to check in early. Its in walking distance from some restaurants and Starbucks. 13 mins to South Beach on a bike. Very pleased with the hotel.

The view was great and the property was amazing. It was right across from the beach and close to the city and good restaurants too.

The hotel is one step up from a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. No closet space, no drawers. Not convenient for long stays. Public areas are dirty; elevator floors are wet from guests coming down from rooftop pool. Staff is fine, but lack communication initiative. One day there was a power outage in the evening and was given no information about what happened or how long it would take to get it sorted.

Easy check in, welcoming employees, greate amenities by offering free water bottles, beach chair and towel. Comfortable bed and clean room.

I loved the staff at the front desk . We were always greeted with welcoming smiles! The host at the bars were wonderful as well as the pool staff. I did notice a bit short in staff members because having to work double shifts at the bar and the pool area but they made every effort to accommodate.
