The location is excellent. The hotel provides chairs, towels, umbrella. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was too modest. My bed creaked. There was traffic noise from the street at night.

Located straight off the miami beach walk, so very easy access to the beach. The hotel offer towels, beach chairs and umbrellas free to take out. Breakfast is included in the price which is good! Free tea/coffee/water too. They offer a service to drop luggage. Rooms were clean and spacious. You can hear a lot of noise from other rooms but earplugs will do the trick

Very cozy, close to the beach, chairs and towels available for hotel guests free of charge. We had a room without balcony. No fresh air since windows were closed and locked. Not possible to open the windows. Big and only downside.

Great beach location Little dated a very old lift and the bowls at breakfast were horrible brown cardboard with plastic cutlery really let it down. We booked sea view room only to be told you don’t do sea view rooms and balconies but Booking.com clearly advertise you do! Very ugly development site opposite with massive black netting ruined what might of been great view on our balcony over the lake and the air conditioning machine cooled the bed and not the room really noisy too

Three U’s. Unclean, Uncomfortable and Underwhelming. Location in proximity to the beach is great but everything else was the worst I’ve experienced. Really surprising as I don’t leave negative reviews often.

I picked this location because of how close it was to the beach. It was good for beach access. The location has towels and chairs to check out for the beach. Good place to stay if the beach is an important part of your vacation. There really was not much to not like. The breakfast was not something we used other than to grab a piece of fruit. If I was relying on the free breakfast I would have been disappointed but probably good for a family. We were good, close enough to Trader Joe’s and the room had a nice big refrigerator so we had what we needed

It was so close to the beach and they provided beach chairs, umbrella and towels at no extra charge. The staff were super helpful and friendly. There is a nice little convenience store right there for all your small purchase needs. Breakfast was okay but a little protein deficient. The only protein was a low fat yogurt. The location was a little loud with the air conditioner, the fridge and the vehicles outside.

The room was just okay. No water pressure; it takes forever to get hot water. Beds were just okay and breakfast was just okay. For the price and where it was located in proximity to the beach; value was good.

It is very close to the beach, the staff were amazing, the room was very spacious and had a great view. The bathroom was not the most updated, the elevator was quite old.

Thin walls

Everything was perfect including their welcoming staff but they had a very strong floral sent in the lobby, were we had issues staying for few minutes and in the room you could also smell the same but less strong. That was very inconvenient for us.

All hotel staff was great! We received a warm welcome upon check in from front desk staff and they were happy to help/answer questions about local restaurants/where to dine and shopping. The sandwiches made by the delicatessen on the corner next to the hotel were superb! Location to the beach & local shopping was ideal! We felt very safe walking/exploring the area and got to enjoy some sunset time on the beach with our complimentary beach chairs & towels.? We only stayed one night before our cruise and it was perfect for us.. since there is a lot of current highway & cruise port construction happening I would recommend allowing extra time to Uber/Taxi to cruise port terminals.. our trip should have taken 15 mins but took 4x’s longer due to the construction traffic but that still doesn’t change my opinion of the hotel.? Uncontrollable late night hours loud exhaust street bike & car motor revving noises

We stayed here on a layover flight back to Europe, the staff were friendly and it was a convenient spot for us to check out Miami beach with the few hours we had before our flight.

The property looks good in pictures, but is definitely a dated location and not as it appears. There is no pool, the chairs and towels provided are hardly worth the “resort” fees.

The internet connection in our room is bad, so we're using our own WiFi. The hotel WiFi only works well in the bathroom and just outside the door. Maybe our room is located at the far end of the hotel on the third floor? Despite that, the location is great, and we can walk to the beach. They provide free chairs and towels

Very cute and comfortable with a great location just a little north of Miamis most popular attractions but still a solid area with great restaurants, bars, shops nearby! Very close to the beautiful beach! Staff was friendly and the room was clean! Great for adults for a few nights, would be fine for a family for one or two nights but not great for a longer stay. I would totally stay here again!

I didn't stay to long. We were there for maybe 9 hours over night. Nice that the hotel is right 30 meters away from the beach, SUPER convenient! Absolutely wonderful staff! I LOVE the complimentary tea/coffee in the lobby. Nice that they offer a complimentary breakfast as well! The rooms were ok but very humid and the bathrooms mildly outdated. The bathroom ventilation was very poor. The hallways did not feel like a hotel but rather a working class apartment building. The balcony access was nice however. Again, the staff was amazing!!

The location of the hotel is great for the beach,the rooms are clean. But,it is noisy with the lift and you can hear other residents. The room looks quite tired and beds are not the most comfortable. Breakfast is basic, they dont clean the tables in-between patrons and i can be a bit hectic.

I booked this hotel because it’s in a great area and I called the hotel to ask staff about parking. They assured me they had garage parking for $30 a night. When we arrived I was told their parking garage is full and I could park on the street for $3 an hour (ridiculous). Luckily there was another garage for the same price- 14 min walk from the hotel. Then another visitor took our carry on bag by mistake. We asked the front desk lady to call the other individual since they took our bag. She didn’t understand and went on the phone speaking in Spanish completely ignoring us. Then she gave us our room key, we went up and it was a downgraded room. We booked the room with a balcony and she gave us a smaller room with no balcony. We had to move all our things back down to tell her we need a new room, which again she didn’t apologize and was on the phone. Overall, the staff did not help, the walls are very thing you can hear everything and everyone, the elevator is extremely slow, and the overall quality is just O.K. The location is the only upside of this hotel.

We loved our stay at the Lorraine Hotel! They were quick checking us into our room and providing us with hotel information (free wifi and breakfast, free water/coffee/tea 24/7). This hotel is smaller in size with only 3 floors and maybe 30 rooms total, so it it easy to find your way around. There is only 1 elevator that was rather small, but they did have stairs as well nearby. This hotel has a modern yet vintage feel. It is in a great location- between Collins Ave and Miami Beach. While not oceanfront, it is about 1 block from the beach (5 min or less walk). They let you borrow beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for free as long as you return them! The only downside I can think of is regarding the parking, or rather, lack thereof. We had a car with us during our stay and we had to park and repark multiple times ( bc the parking spots had a 4 hr limit). The hotel did mention a parking garage 2 blocks away for $30 a day, but we weren't able to find it and decided just to pay to park in the 4 hr spots. Overall we had a great stay, rooms were clean, and would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

We stayed in the hotel a couple of night, stag kind and it’s really close to the ocean and in general to the center of Miami Beach, a lot of restaurants and stores are walkable. Clean. Breakfast with not a lot of choice but in general okay.

Elevator was slow and only fit 2 people. Breakfast offered was only for 1 hour and limited to waffle, apple, orange, bread and 2 kinds of cereal. Room lacked any plugs and the shower dripped non stop. The best part of this locaton was the closeness to the beach.

Family stay- The vacation is great! So close to the beach we had a room with a balcony looking at the ocean. Great view from the room. The bathroom was very nice. And there was ample closet. Space! The beds were a l Little bit harder than what we used to, but nonetheless, the room was great. The service at the front desk was so generous!. So unusual to be able to use chairs, towels, and umbrella at no extra cost. He held our luggage the day we checked out and we were able to change in the lobby bathroom which is very nice. There is a little café and market at the corner, which has really great coffee and pastries!

All is well. we had a good time.

Nice enough hotel with a great location on Miami Beach. Parking was a nightmare and the staff were utterly unhelpful with this and with a lot of other things. Parking was not what they advertise on the booking. They clearly don’t have proper customer service training. The shower was freezing cold and didn’t warm up at all after being on for a considerable amount of time. Mould stains on the curtains. Fan in the room didn’t work so was very hot with no way of cooling it down. Walls are paper thin so you could hear EVERYTHING (including the room next door’s TV being too loud). WiFi was also poor and not good enough for most uses. Apart from the location, I wouldn’t really recommend this hotel.

The hotel is so old, no pool no hot water took 15 minutes for it to get hot. No parking! Will never stay there again. The only thing nice was the beach behind the hotel.

I was told I had to find my own parking on the street. After looking for parking and being unsuccessful for almost an hour, I called the hotel, and I was told to park in the sister hotel. It would have been nice if they told me that in the first conversation. The staff seamed annoyed when talking with me. The breakfast was minimal selection. The beach access was public beach access, and we were given stadium chares and bath towels. Nothing like the pictures used for advertisement on their website. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent small hotel with partial ocean view. Great balcany room with table and chairs. Small bathroom. Huge TV. Nice continental breakfast with waffles. One minute walk to boardwalk. Another minute to the water. Highly recommend.

Pictures were decent, rooms seemed updated and clean, exterior view decent. Whole different story when you get there… Lobby is swamped with deodorant to remove the smell. At first, we were given a standard room, right behind the reception, door opening at the lobby. Window to a parking lot, felt like we would sleep in closet. Beds were horrible. Second room wasn’t any better, 2nd floor felt like you were walking in a windowless narrow bunker. Elevator barely worked, nasty beds again. Dirty windows, did not close. View to building wall, nothing like the pictures. We could not get a refund, booked the non-refund rate. The whole saga felt like a scam, impossible that this hotel would get so many top ratings, something’s fishy. We left. No refund. Don’t stay there unless your a bunch of 21 year olds, going to party and don’t need anything minimally decent.

Great professional stuff

Our room was spacious and clean! Staff were very nice and accommodating. We arrived earlier than our check in time and we just waited in the lobby but as soon as our room was ready, they allowed us to check in and get settled in our room. Breakfast is free and delicious.

The rooms are spacious and linens and floors clean but there is a lot of mold that was masked by scented air fresheners. It’s noisy location due to traffic! Bathroom did not have a vent/fan. Very old building.

What we liked: -location -unbeatable beach access -free beach amenities -reasonably clean and comfortable -a/c -staff was friendly and helpful -our room was ready when we arrived early (~1:30pm) What could have been better: -Room wasn't pristine with some sand left throughout the room, but the bathroom was clean -Beds and sheets were not that comfy, but they were clean and got the job done -Breakfast: the line was long as serving hours are limited, and the options weren't great, but honestly it was equivalent to what we would get at a major chain. There is a great deli just around the corner with outstanding and cheap breakfast options. Just go there. I am the type of person who is really only in the hotel to sleep before going out and exploring. I had realistic expectations knowing that I chose a budget friendly option and that it was not a "5-star" hotel. And it was perfect for that! I would definitely stay here again if headed to South Beach.

Right on the beach which was an excellent reason to stay. Beds were super UNCOMFORTABLE and the place seemed pretty run down. Breakfast was awful—in a closet you had to line up for and took forever. No parking anywhere. It was pretty walkable though and right on a walking trail. Stay for location only.

Close to the beach and action but not too close. The night life and restaurants aren’t too far can walk or Uber. There is a deli below that is also good.

I’d read the elevator was small maybe four slender people and carryon luggage would fit, we opted for the stairs the rest of the stay. The hotel is older and not part of a chain so it’s not glamorous but functional. We had two clean beds a balcony and decent bathroom. The air conditioner worked great it was one of those large units you controlled below a window. The front desk attendant seemed annoyed we were bothering her when we checked in. When we left to go walk along the beach she didn’t even look up from her book. The breakfast was pretty good nice fruit and pastries.

We spent one night here. The walking location to the beach is wonderful. Although parts of the hotel are dated and need repair, our room was updated, clean, and comfortable.

For $350/night....not worth it. Beds were hard. We had to request blankets (the bed only had sheets on them). You can hear everything going on in the rooms around you.

Very happy with the room and location, the only complaint would be the continental breakfast is set up in a small corner that makes a mad house when people try to line up to get food, but also, complimentary breakfast is perk!

I recommend Lorraine Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable place to crash near the beach, near Port Miami and near the MIA airport without breaking the bank.

Traffic on the noisy side. Felt safe. No good ocean views on balcony, not worth extra money.

No onsite parking. Street parking is only free 3-9am. The hotel that you can pay to park is 3 blocks away. Outside had construction, was a meaa. The hotel is clean. Small cery small elevator. Not recommended for people afraid of small spaces. Room is clean check in was fast.

We stayed here for one night before our cruise, room was affordable. Upon arriving at check in the lady at the desk was super nice and already had our room key waiting for us. Check in was very smooth, rooms were very clean, smelled AMAZING, plenty of towels and they even offer beach towels/ chairs for free ($25/item if not returned). There’s many gas stations/ liquor and wine stores nearby. Ocean is very close to property. 20 min walk to south beach. Overall 10/10 rating highly recommend

The rooms were incredibly noisy, lacked simple amenities like tissues, a pen or a bathroom fan.

More stressful though was that the walls in the room were paper thin, we could hear anyone walking by, downstairs, the person next door and their vibrating phone, it was so loud and hard to rest. The mattress was also super thin and bed was a bit noisy. The staff was friendly. Julio was very helpful with out parking situation, and the beach was just a couple minutes walking with a market in the corner.

Overall the stay was wonderful, close to the beach. Only negatives, small continental breakfast area to small for the number of guests trying to prepare and eat breakfast. No ice machine on premises. The cleaning staff did an excellent job servicing our room.

I would definitely stay here again. Very close to the beach. They have a decent continental breakfast and they have chairs and towels you can check out and use for the beach. Staff are very helpful. The elevator is pretty small. There is a store with a deli next door that has sandwiches and pizza and desserts made to order.
