intercontinental exceeded my expectations! Very beautiful hotel and the location is perfect. Staff was amazing and very nice. the doorman provided exceptional service, I forgot his name and for that I am sad because I want to make sure he is acknowledged on this. I think his name is Henroy :) food a bit pricey but that's to be expected.

This is the 3rd time we stayed at this Intercontinental Hotel for birthday celebration and the close proximity to the Kaseya Center to attend concerts. The view from the room is beautiful and room-bathrooms were clean. This last time our experience was different which negatively impacted my rating. The hotel was too crowded due to several conventions/schools' parties/guest attending the outside parked SEAFAIR Yacht party, etc. It smells marijuana in many common areas as elevator, rooms hallways. Definitely is not a hotel for a romantic quite getaway. Tried to eat around 5pm and both restaurants were closed. Walked in the area and found a small nice Italian restaurant and ended enjoying the experience as the food was delicious.

One of the best hotels I've visited so far. I highly recommend it. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and the staff is very friendly, especially Eliana. Carmim (front desk) was always very helpful, friendly, and professional. It was a wonderful experience for my wife and me before our cruise.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the bedding was luxurious, and the bathroom was beautiful. I loved the bath products! There was a very faint but noticeable noise at night time that seemed to be coming through the vent. I eventually got used to it, but at first, it was hard to sleep through. Maybe a laundry machine??

Location. Near downtown, south beach & bayside marketplace. The hotel is spacious. Excellent breakfast. There is a ship seafair (or something) is docking very close to the hotel and when they have parties (like was on one of the evenings during my stay), they make so much noise that the glass on the 19th floor moves and it lasts till 23:00.

We know the place for the last 35 years. Service is getting continuously worse.. This time we prepaid through hotels.com but they still wanted to charge me two times (at check in and also check out) with the room rate.

My friend and I stayed for two nights prior to embarking on a cruise. The hotel was a very nice place to stay, easily walkable to shops and restaurants downtown. It’s a short uber ride to south beach and the cruise ports. Great restaurant on site. Front desk staff was welcoming and helpful when we had questions. Would stay there again.

I liked the location and the atmosphere of the hotel. The room itself was good too, nice and quiet. The location was awesome, near the beach and nearby points of interest. My only gripe was the valet service was too eager. The attendants literally would not let us step out of the car before greeting us. This could be good for some but I personally would like to at least step out of the car first.

The Intercontinental Miami is a bit like a high-end relationship: it looks gorgeous, the bed is fantastic, but the communication issues are real. Here is the breakdown of our "staycation/shared-room-with-strangers" experience. The "Parenting by Proxy" Experience Let’s address the elephant in the room—or rather, the screaming children in the room next door. It wasn't just that they were loud; it was like we were accidentally cast as the supporting characters in their personal Broadway debut of Lord of the Flies. • The Walls: I’m convinced the walls are made of high-quality tissue paper. I didn't just hear the kids; I feel like I helped raise them. • The Rescue: Huge shoutout to the front desk. They sent someone up to "negotiate a ceasefire" (aka tell them to pipe down), and it actually worked. Service: 1, Tiny Terrors: 0. The Perks (The "Hit" Part) • The View: We had an ocean view that was so stunning I almost forgot I knew the life story of the toddlers next door. • The Bed: Pure heaven. If I could have stayed in that bed forever, I would have. It was like sleeping on a cloud that doesn't judge you for your life choices. • Location: If you’re heading to the port, this is the spot. Plus, Whole Foods is a short walk away, which is perfect for grabbing a $14 asparagus water or the three bottles of sunscreen you inevitably forgot.

The shower was terrible. It was filling up with water so I was standing in 3 inches by the time the shower was done.

The room was very cold, and there was no heating. I had to go all the way down from the 11th floor just to get water. Room service took over an hour, and it was unavailable after midnight. The rooms are small and fairly basic. For this price, I expected much more.

We had a wonderful view of the ocean from our hotel room. We actually watched a wedding on the yacht docked outside our window. It is within walking distance of many wonderful restaurants and many attractions. It is busy with a lot going on, but it’s Miami, so that is to be expected. The room was quiet, very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend!

The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive; the pool area was great with a DJ playing fun tunes all day. They also had complimentary orange water and sunscreen which I thought was a very nice touch. The rooms were spacious, nice shower and the black out shades were key to a great night's sleep. We had breakfast each morning at the buffet, which was delicious and dinner one night at the hotel restaurant which was one of the best meals we had. Would definitely go back! We had a wonderful weekend.

This property is too old, and need a total remodeling. Elevators were not working properly. We had to wait 10 minutes to go down for breakfast. Breakfast area was collapsed, needed to wait 15-20 minutes for an omelette. It seems this hotel is too big to the sizing of their facilities. Will never stay here again, and less for the price.

TThe hotel is situated in a prime location in Miami, renowned as an iconic establishment. However, the level of service provided is subpar. Upon attempting to dine at El Toro restaurant for dinner, we were denied entry due to the lack of reservations. The restaurant had reached full capacity, accommodating only non-hotel guests. Additionally, the air conditioning in the room was not functioning properly.

Gorgeous hotel. Clean, spacious, pool, fitness center, restaurant/bar, location by Bayfront Park. All great. One tip for management: please insulate the doors for adjoining rooms. We had a very loud neighbor one evening but management "handled" the situation well.

Totally enjoyed our stay, IHG may be our new favorite hotel.

The hotel has the room available in the morning for us even the check in time is supposed to be 3pm. Torotoro restaurant has great lunch express menu with healthy selections. We didn’t have breakfast during the stay as Starbucks is onsite. Walking distance to Bayside, Bayfront Park, and Kaseya Center (NBA games). First time here but highly recommend it.

Tommy were comfortable and well appointed. Staff was outstanding; extremely courteous and helpful. Food at Toro Toro was some of best I ever experienced. Highly recommend. Luxurious without being pretentious.

Overall, the experience did not meet expectations for a 4-star hotel. The hair dryer was very old and nearly broken. Bottled water was not provided complimentary, and there was no clear explanation of what the service fee covered. One of the few included amenities, the steam sauna, was out of order and unavailable during our stay.

Paid for club room to have use of the club lounge. I’m vegan - which I messaged ahead of time and they said no problem - at breakfast there didn’t seem to be any vegan options and nothing was labelled, so I asked the manager what the options were. She said they had an eggs - I had to educate that eggs aren’t vegan - no animal products. She then suggested pastries (butter) and then when she was told no, she said well there is fruit and vegetables. Wonderful! They have no allowances for allergies etc as nothing is labelled. Stay well clear.

The perfect vibe for a sunsetting Miami property! A one-inch space between us and the chaos next door let us see footsteps and hear the kid screaming, as if he were our own. And the hidden daily resort charges, despite Expedia's assurances that there wouldn't be any, added to the sense we'd already started our drunken cruise. The InterContinental is Miami at its purest hustle.

Staff was very friendly and the room, even though not ready on arrival (I came in around 2pm), was very clean and had an amazing view. All service received was top-notch, and the breakfast buffet at Ole is definitely worth the add-on. Finally, the spa was very relaxing and the raindrop massage was amazing!. Truly an awesome stay all-around!

In addition, they had a room available for me at around 12:30, which was great. And the checkout is at 12 noon, instead of this 11 AM stuff. Excellent hotel

When we returned to our room from dinner we were unable to get in. When we went to the desk to resolve we were never given an explanation why. When we got back up to our room we were met by someone from security who told asked us if we extended our stay. We had just checked in that day. Our cards still did not work and he asked us if it was our things in the room. I said yes and he let us in. No explanation and no attempt to convey to us anything. Disappointed.

The location can’t be beat: waterfront views, minutes from the port, walking distance to the arena, Bayfront Park, and lots of food options. There’s also a Starbucks in the lobby, which was extremely convenient before heading out each morning. Our room overlooked the Miami skyline and was very clean with comfortable bedding and fresh linens and supplies in the bathroom. Yes, there is a resort fee, but for the amenities, service, and location, we felt the value was definitely there. Would recommend to anyone traveling with kids or just wanting a smooth, stress-free start to their vacation!

Spent a night in Miami. Upon arrival excellent valet parking service. The room overlooked the port of Miami a d offered a great, central location. However, the room was not properly made up. E g, bathrobes were missing. Toileteres used by previous guest(s) had not been replaced. Hotel addressed concerns.

The property is beautiful actually breathtaking! Very clean and safe environment. What I was dissatisfied with was the additional fees. I paid ahead for my stay (50th birthday) I called two weeks in advance confirming my reservation and asked if there where any additional fees. I was told no. We arrived 4 AM only the staff was visible. We were the only people checking in. Staff (clerk or valet attendant) did not mentioned if we do not use hotel parking we would get a ticket (parking lot is monitored 24/7) valet removed our bags from the car and watched us park without a word. The next morning I realized a ticket on my windshield for $36. Then I had to pay $69 (Hotel fee) for three days. I believe this should have been bought to our attention before the mishap happened!!!

Great central location to nearby bayside. Very accessible to nearby cruise ports and short airport transfer. Convenience store CVS directly opposite hotel is 24 hours so that is a bonus. Hotel spotless, staff polite, well mannered, I was able to access my rooms early with no extra fee. Air conditioning ice cold which is much needed in Miami heat. Breakfast fantastic, great choice, options and variety. Staff in dining area can’t do enough to make you happy. Highly commendable.

My only complaint would be about the pool area. It’s meh. The view is good but it’s not very functional for getting sun unless the sun is right above you because you are surrounded by high rise buildings on 3 sides. In addition there is no wait service for food or drinks unless you have a private cabana. Shame for a luxury hotel. The poolside coconuts are wonderful but $16 seems a little outrageous for something that doesn’t even have alcohol in it and they won’t even bring it to you. Just my two cents. Luckily we don’t come for the pool. Overall our stay was lovely and would definitely return.

She Miami never disappoints. I stayed there twice now, and both experiences were wonderful.! Their staff goes out of their way to make your Stay comfortable and to give you anything you might need.! The concierge desk always gives you good suggestions whether it’s on meals or buses to take to go to South Beach area. Very helpful. I will stay there again.

Had a beautiful view of the cruise terminal and were able to watch the ships pull in. We loved the lounge with the snacks and drinks. Breakfast was also amazing. The staff were all so helpful and friendly.

Convenient and beautiful. Rooms were pretty basic though, for what you pay.

I had a wonderful experience!! This was my second time here and I got to enjoy the pool this time, just an overall wonderful experience. Customer service is on point. There was a slight miscommunication for some reason they thought we checked out on Saturday instead of Sunday and the front desk was confused but we received a phone call, other than that it was fine.

Staff was top-notch! A clean, comfortable room with a wonderful view of the water. We will absolutely stay here the next time we visit Miami!!

Great place to stay before a cruise! They don’t have a cruise shuttle. It’s a 5 -10 min quick uber ride to the ships.

I like that the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and nice looking. I just wish they had a microwave in the room in case you have food you want to heat up.

The overall experience was great. We were able to check in early. Sabrina gave us drink vouchers. The room was amazing with incredible views. The gym was awesome and we also had a great brunch at Ole. Can’t ssy enough about our stay. I will definitely stay there again.

I stayed at the Mandarin last year and so I am coating the two properties the staff was super attentive and th vibes were very chill. The jury is still out I can smell smoke in my room definitely negative so far but I will continue to keep an ope. Mind. Not as clean as Madarin either but again I will continue to be open . But those are the two 3 negatives. Staff not super attentive, not the cleanest and the smoke scent.

Not so good. The price was too high and we didn’t get complimentary coffee or water in the room. Even motels have better bang for the buck.

Reservation agent upon arrival could not locate my Expedia reservation. I had to get a manager involved. That was very disappointing.

This hotel has the best staff! Always smiling and available to assist when needed. The location was convenient for travel to and from hotel via uber. The property is within walking distance to a park and we were lucky to experience a July 4th festival that included food trucks and live performances. I was not able to enjoy the pool due to the weather and the other days were out busy outdoors but I hear it’s nice.
