Comfort Inn Morris I-80

The place was okay. Pool and hot tub was closed due to maintenance issues. One of the reasons we chose this hotel. Continental breakfast was below average. Basics ONLY. However, the staff was friendly and the location was great.

Morris... You lost more sale days!!! Your location is nasty!!! Shouldn't be more than $70 EVER even that's too much.

This hotel seems a little older but the staff greeted us warmly, the beds were super comfy and clean, and the hotel was really quiet even though it was really full. It was a convenient location for our needs. Good value overall. Would stay again!

Pool was closed and one of the main reasons we picked this hotel. The room we were in had some damage not bad but could have been in a better room. I only took one picture of the wall damage but the shower curtain was also slightly damaged.

The pool and hot tub were closed, which was a huge disappointment- and should have disclosed this when making thd reservation. There is no hot breakfast- just a wafflemaker and microwaveable sandwiches. On our 2 night stay, the toilet started leaking out from underneath the first morning, so we had to switch rooms. The second room was NOT two queen-size beds, but two double-size beds, so the second night we didn't sleep very well. Otherwise, the property is older (bathrooms are VERY tight space), but relatively clean. Still, would not stay here again.

Staff was friendly, room was okay, could use some updating. We picked this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub… nothing was disclosed that they were not usable. I have a younger child and that’s what she looks forward to. We had to go to a different hotel to utilize a pool.

Breakfast was fine and we all found something to eat. The pool and hot tub were shutdown, which were reasons we booked this place. We were allowed to go to a nearby pool to swim, so the kids still had fun. It was a bit of an inconvenience though to go there and hassle with another location in order to swim. Fortunately the weather wasn’t completely terrible.

The facility is in need of some updating. The chair was torn and not the best lighting in the room. The staff was very friendly. All in all I would stay again if I was in the area.

Breakfast consisted of waffles and cereal. Room was small but it worked. Very outdated but overall looked reasonably clean.

Rooms definitely need an upgrade. Rug was ripped, sink stopper didn't lift up so sink just keeps filling up. The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept on. Divot in the bed you can see without taking off the blankets. The spring came through on my body. I had to curl up at the foot of the bed because it hurt my legs so bad. Breakfast was cereal & waffles. No hot food. No eggs, etc. Very disappointing. For the price, I feel like you should have gotten more.

Bathroom tub and toilet area had "hair" in it and on it. Couldn't call for room service because the room phone didn't work. Room was very small for the price they were asking.

We stay here when we visit the area because it is priced reasonably and is adequate for us. We spend most of our time visiting friends and family in the area. This motel is about the best out of several other motels except the Holiday Inn Express which is newer and grossly overpriced.

Everything was fine except that my bathroom ceiling had a huge water stain from the above room. Also, the shower nozzle wasn't the greatest. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The hotel looks very non-descript. Didn't really expect it to be as clean as it really was. Simple hotel it was extremely clean and well kept. To the point that it was noticeable. Very impressed! Are air conditioning worked perfectly.

Advertised pool and hot tub. Neither were open. The room had a strange odor and the facility needs to be refurbished. Breakfast was a complete JOKE. This was not breakfast in any sense of the word. The only hot item was a waffle you could make but the plate wasn’t big enough to fit a waffle. I put what little syrup there on and it immediately ran onto the table. Two jugs of juice, milk, cereal, and a couple of other items. Not even a complete continental breakfast. The same lady that checked us in was at the desk in the morning. Something is wrong at this property and the only person i can point to is the only woman at the desk. I stayed at the same Brand last night and I had nothing but good to say about my stay. You need to verify what she does and doesn’t have. I wasn’t the only person very unhappy to say the least.

I would give it a 4 star rating, room had a smell to it good thing I had freebrze! Beds were very comfortable, the sheets were amazing they were very soft. Pillows perfect, bathroom was kind of woren down thats why I give it 4 star. Location is perfectright off 47 and 80.

Bed was very comfortable. Shower was great. Breakfast was disappointing. We have stayed a several Comfort Inns and they offered a hot breakfast including eggs and sausage.

Shower water pressure was excellent with the infinite shower head. The bathroom was a bit small. The beds were comfortable.

Overall, it was clean and safe for my friend and I to stay the weekend. The hotel itself is clearly very old, and all of the furniture in our room had some sort of damage done to it before we checked in. We were very worried about some of the latest reviews, but overall it was clean, besides some stained towels. No bedbugs, or extra random charges, they had breakfast, the only huge downside is the hot tub is permanently closed (it’s been closed since I stayed there in 2020) and the pool has very odd hours. But the staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay for the price.

Room was very old and run down, smelled like mildew, holes in the walls, hot tub is broken (and looks like it hasn’t worked in months), we found two roach bugs as soon as we opened the room, and definitely not worth over $60.00. I wish I could get my money back and leave. (But checked in late)

We stayed here after driving long hours, check-in was quick, got a clean room. Breakfast was ready at 6, close highway 80. Price was reasonable for a 2 bed queen, non-smoking.

They where the only place that had a room, staff was nice It was not very clean, the AC in our room was terrible it didn’t cool, the breakfast was a joke. We ended up taking our 8 yr old out to breakfast.

The breakfast buffet wasn’t very good - it’s convenient food not fresh but I understand that bc of the location it wouldn’t be financially responsible to have fresh food.

The tub had a constant stream of water. Not a leak, a stream. The walls had long tears that went into the drywall. No clock anywhere in the room. At least the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly.

There was a bag of trash outside the rear entry the entire time. Staff was making and eating breakfast before guests who had to wait for the waffle maker, then talking louder than anyone. Best is... my bathroom was loaded with small ant and the front desk girl barely looked away from her phone when told about it.

Carpet in room had permanent stains but clean otherwise. Beds and pillows were older. Neighbor’s room door did not latch, had to get new room. Breakfast area was small. Mostly carb options. There were ants in the breakfast area. Pool was open. Hot tub was not. Looked like it hadn’t been open for a long time. Staff was friendly and we’re doing what they could with what they had.

Motel is adequate for overnight stays. It is a bit dated and needs a remodel and brought up to current standards for electrical outlets and such. Bathroom is very small. This motel is about the best Morris has to offer other than the very expensive Holiday Inn Express, which is fairly new. Breakfast is minimal but OK.

This motel is one of the better motels in Morris, It is adequate, but dated and has needed remodeling and updating for years. The price is very competitive and much cheaper than the HI Express, which is the newest motel in Morris.

Good location

I get to the hotel. And they have my room away and sent me to a so called sister location. A quality inn with a pub attached. It was already very late the music so loud you can’t even hear anything and the place is not very good quality plus they charge me double the normal rate because things were booked up. Horrible experience.

Parking was very limited and no space for vehicles with a trailer. Carpet was stained, water pressure low, old condom in the parking lot. Spend just a few bucks more for a better place

If you arrive after 10pm, hopefully you're not hungry. NOTHING is open. We asked the front desk. She gave us 3 places...which were all closed. Thanks for the help. You get better quality for the same price at the Holiday Inn Express next door. Otherwise, spend half the money and stay at the Quality Inn or Days Inn next door...you'll get the same experience as this hotel and save some money.

I booked this hotel because it stayed they had a hot tub but it was down for repairs

Very friendly, however the property is in need of much needed updates. Our room had a very musty smell. The BR had cracks and the tub faucet leaked. The beds were comfortable, just disappointed in the overall appearance of the room.

When we got there, we were told the pool and the hot tub were closed. When we walked to our room, the pool was open but the hot tub wasn't. Our bathroom had paint peeling off the wall and the side of the bathtub/shower had a big piece of white duct tape on the side.

Book for weekend so grandkids could swim and pool was down, we had to go to different hotel to swim not so good with little kids

First room I was assigned the heat didn’t work. The lady at the front desk was super nice and apologetic and reassigned me rooms with no hassle. The outer door to the parking lot didn’t latch and hot tub not operational. Other than that, it was just fine!

Hotel needs to be updated, very old place. Light bulbs burnt out in room and hallway. Water in water cooler in lobby was just filled up by service desk attention from faucet. Drain plug in tub was rusted away. Hot tub broke. Very cold in lobby and hallway. Pool area smelled and dirty towels were over flowing. Staff was the only excellent thing there!! There was one young lady that needs more training, she worked 3-11 name started with M was rude and not friendly. Other that that staff was great!

Stayed at this hotel for a funeral…the price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The location was convenient, the room was clean, and there were a couple of eating places that were walking distance. Would stay here again if I had to go to Morris in the future.

The hotel was just an average hotel. The gentleman at check in was less then friendly, the hotel is on a busy road so it’s noisy and there are no darkening curtains - nothing terrible just your average place

The carpet in our room was ripped in a couple of places. The bathroom faucet dripped. It was noisy in the room above us late at night.

I love this place. It’s my getaway for me and my babies. They love to swim I like to relax.

The staff was nice during our interactions. The building has a chemical smell that is probably masking a musty odor, especially in the room. The toilet flushes loudly and excessively. There is black stuff, assuming mold, all along the wall above where the plastic part of the shower ends. It's about a foot between the plastic and the ceiling, so it is absolutely noticeable, or should be, to the staff. The parking lot was more than half empty, so I feel like the room choices could have been staggered more. The people above us were up at 4:28 a.m. We heard every word, heard every footstep, and their shower was SO loud in OUR room the floor below them. Lastly, the breakfast was just ok. A warm waffle was nice, but the breakfast sandwiches they provide need to be microwaved. No big deal, except they specify certain percentages to microwave at and the dining areas microwave doesn't have that capability. We noticed the hot tub was out of service and the pool looked like it had a chemical waive to it, but we didn't use it. If you don't mind the chemical smell and sleep like a log, this is your place.

When i reserved the room i requested a queen bed with handicap accessible shower for a wheelchair person, than when i called after i made the reservation i was told that i would have a wheelchair accessible shower by the lady that answered the phone. when I arrived we got a room with a tub about 10 inches tall not wheelchair accessible and a double bed not a queen, when i asked about it at the front desk she told me that that room was all ready rented so all she had was the one i got . well i will be sure to never stay at this motel every again when we visit our friends up in morris Il. That put a damper on our whole weekend due to having to have my girlfriend take a sponge bath because she could not get into the tub for a shower. and after the conversation with the clerk on duty that night i just said never again i had to wake her up when i went up to talk to her she was sleeping at the desk.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was old and damaged. The carpet was dirty and worn. There was a hole in the wall that had not been fixed. The outdoor security lighting was minimal and the back door light was out where the pet area is located.

Foul odor in hallways. Breakfast wasn’t the best. Front desk staff, a male, wasn’t friendly and when asked a question didn’t respond as he was too busy watching the computer. Toilet sounded like a cat in trouble when flushed.

The lady was great but the room had what looked like pee spot stains all over the carpet I mean at least 8-10 spots and smelled odd.

Staff was amazing! Friendly, polite, and welcoming. Average accommodations, perfect if you’re just showering and sleeping. Quiet, right off the main road, and gas/food options close by.

Either fix the hot tub or get rid of it. Hate when they advertise hot tubs but when you arrive, front desk is always like, sorry, it’s temporary out of order. Lame!!

The best part of our stay was the super comfortable beds. We slept so well. The breakfast was sufficient with various options. Easy access to I-80. Nothing special but perfect for a rest before continuing down the road.

Motel is okay but desperately needs remodeling and updating. Generally clean and adequate for short stays. Staff is friendly. We stay here when visiting the Morris area as it's equal to all the other motels in town for the price with some motels much worse. The Holiday Inn Express is the newest but very overpriced.

The location was great (near the highway and shopping) for our stop on a road trip. The hotel was clean and breakfast was simple but good (waffles, yogurt, muffins, etc). The main downside was that the air conditioning did not seem able to keep up with cooling the space and the room felt and smelled humid and warm.

Room was dirty and there were a lot of cobwebs on the ceiling. A deep cleaning hadnt been done on the room in years. The bathroom setup was also not ideal, the door to the bathroom took up most of the space. I expected outdated things but did not the lack of cleaniliess.

This is an updated hotel. You have a choice of pillows which is nice. The mattress is a little too soft for my taste. I prefer a little firmer one. The bathroom and room were clean with plenty of towels.
