Reviews
The hotel is praised for its convenient location, with many guests enjoying the proximity to local attractions and entertainment. The staff is frequently commended for their helpfulness and friendliness. However, there are several complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms and the condition of the hotel, with some guests suggesting it needs updating. Noise, particularly from the air conditioning and nearby entertainment, is another common complaint.

The interior design is cowboy chic. An eclectic mixture of mcm and boho style.. very warm and inviting. The bar and restaurant was fantastic. Daily live music in the lounge was a wonderful treat. Nothing- it was great

Great vibe and location. If breakfast is included in your rate then you are in luck! Breakfast is amazing, ordered off menu (not a buffet) and includes great local specialities like biscuits, hot chicken, proper hash browns, brisket, you will not be leaving hungry! Happy hour is great, with $6 mules (plus tax etc). There is music in the bar in the evening but we were so busy elsewhere we didn't actually get the chance to see it. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Great location right at the top of Printers Alley - although there is not much else around other than the bars on Printers Alley and Black Rabbit, but a good central position for exploring beyond Lower Broadway - Ubers can easily come right to the door. The decor and ambiance throughout the hotel is great. Really nice big shower in our bathroom with good water pressure. Free wifi. Its clearly an old building thats been recently refurbished. Its not a modern building, so there are a few flaws. I work in construction and noticed it, my wife however was completely oblivious so your opinion may vary. Small issues like they have clearly removed the carpets in the bedrooms but kept the original doors so there is quite a gap under the door that lets in noise and light form the corridor. The air con is kind clunky and noisy but it worked pretty well. If you book with booking.com make sure you check your booking details are correct at check in. They're system didn't show us as having breakfast included, when it was. To their credit, the staff were extremely polite and corrected it with no fuss, but it was a bit of a faff and concern to get presented with a bill for breakfast and resort fees (that we had already paid). Playing music on your TV in your room was like $20 extra, which seemed a bit excessive, especially as we were in Music City. But you can screenshare off your phone and play spotify/youtube if you need some music in your room. Our bill at the bar was wrong both times, each time the server corrected it without fuss but make sure to check it. We were on the 4th floor and it was kind of noisy with trash cans being collected from Printers Alley at 5am, and you can hear every sound from the corridors. The walls are pretty thick though so no noise from neighbouring rooms.

Overall can and friendly staff. The restaurant staff were also very friendly but were overwhelmed many times and made many mistakes. The hotel was located within a reasonable distance from broadway where the music bars and restaurants were. The rooms lacked storage for your clothing.

Amazing choice. My room was spacious—even the bathroom. I loved the vibes. We had lunch, dinner, and drinks down there every day. The people at the hotel were extremely nice. Perfect location! We booked two different rooms and one of them was not as big and cool as the other. Although it was completely fine, it was supposed to be an “upgraded room”

What really made our stay special was the incredible customer service. Before our arrival, I spoke with Heather at the front desk and she was extremely helpful and accommodating. She went above and beyond by arranging champagne in our room along with a personal handwritten note for my wife’s birthday. That thoughtful touch made the trip even more memorable for us. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nashville. We would definitely stay here again.

In all honesty I loved everything except the price. I wouldn’t typically pay this much for a hotel, especially for one night. I paid less for a hotel on the strip in Las Vegas, but it was a really great experience and I would recommend staying here if you aren’t worried about spending a little more.

Location is everything. Only a couple blocks from Broadway, but it’s far enough for it to be quiet and peaceful. I loved this property. From the cleanliness, to the friendly staff, to the atmosphere. The location at 3rd & Union couldn't have been better! I was able to show my sister a little bit of Nashville just by walking out the door. The hotel is beautiful, staff very nice, and our view of the river was great! Breakfast in their restaurant was really good!

Location, staff is friendly, and the music bar scene We found our room to be very dusty like built up dust everywhere, didn’t experience that the time we visited before. Bathrooms could have used more detail cleaning and there were two different color light bulbs in our room and throughout the hotel, one is warm and the other would be bright white, it’s in the details.

- 3/5
It was a great location, and that was ideal! I did not feel like the rooms were even close to the value of what I paid ($576) for one night. The beds were okay, and the rooms just felt old with paint on them. The staff were mostly nice. The rooms were not worth almost $600 a night. I was very disappointed about this. The night I checked in the rooms had dropped down to $400 for a night for the same room. They would not change the price for me, and gave me a card for a free drink instead.

Our stay at the Hotel Indigo was fabulous! Within walking distance of The Ryman, and so much to do in the area. The bar area had live entertainment while we were there and it was so much fun!
- 4/5
Getting ice was a long ways away from the floor I was on. There was quite a bit of siren activity in the streets that night, which made it a little hard to sleep, but that's not the hotel's fault, I should have got a higher floor room. Breakfast was great.

I was disappointed after paying $300 a night because the information states that is 5 min walk to Broadway that was not accurate it was 22 min walk and I suffer from osteoporosis and I could not walk that far and for the price they should clean up the rust and the floor in the bathroom

Amazing hotel with great style! We walked broadway on Saturday night and returned to our hotel around 9 only to find the best live music we heard all weekend right there in the lobby bar.

WiFi didn’t work at all. No iron in room. Hair on bed. Parking is super expensive, easier/cheaper to park in garage on Church St.

Beautiful hotel, great staff and great location by Printers Alley. Live music every night and it was very good. Nice bar and lobby! Would stay there again!

We came to Nashville to celebrate a friend's birthday. After I made my reservations with the Countrypolitan, the balance of the group decided to also book this same hotel. Everyone was happy they did, we all enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable; we had a standard room which had plenty of space. But what made the experience great was the staff, overall decor and the restaurant area, which also has nightly entertainment. Lori the hostess was attentive and a blast to speak to. From the bartenders to the waitering staff, everyone hustled and always with a smile. While on the elevator the maintenance man on board asked me if our room was okay and if there were any issues, to me that's customer service. Our favorite were Heather and Andrea at the front desk, these two were incredibly nice, very attentive, cordial, and always a smile. It was our first stop every morning to see them and get our day going. As for location, we found it to be perfect, not to close to the Broadway chaos but, a very short walk to all the action. Always take reviews with a grain of salt, as everyone's experience will differ, but for the seven of us we all agreed we would stay here again.
- 4/5
No pool, but that was oUr fault for not checking.
- 5/5
This is, by far, one of my best stays to date! The room was clean and cozy. The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. The bar and restaurant was fantastic, with amazing service staff. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Fantastic staff, this hotel feels like home - we plan to stay here the next time we come to Nashville. Food and drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. Live music is great and the entire staff literally makes you feel like family, it is as comfortable as it is polished. This hotel is a gem! Brittany, Zack, Cesar, Jeremy and Steve in particular went out of their way to help us the entire time we stayed.
- 5/5
Awesome restaurant and bar as well!

Very modern boutique hotel. Extremely friendly staff. All amenities clean and working. We would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The location was great. The rooms were so comfortable and clean. I had booked it for the location and free breakfast and bar/restaurant. There was no free breakfast so we left every morning for food. We plan to come back to Nashville and will stay again just for location .

- 5/5
Rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable! The staff is bar none, the best we have ever met. Every single person there makes you feel like family - well taken care of and comfortable. Brittany and Zack went out of their way especially to make us feel at home, we will stay here again not just because of how comfortable the rooms were or how delicious the food was - but because another trip to The Countrypolitan will feel like visiting family.

- 2/5
Hotel lobby, bar, and dining room was excellent. That’s unfortunately where it ended. We got a king bed suite. When we checked in it appeared the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. There was sheets of paint peeling from the walls that had obviously not just started happening. The shower pressure was non existent and the shower drain was plugged and not draining. There was a bag taped over the bedroom smoke detector as well. The staff did their best to accommodate and took our valet parking off our bill. They were very pleasant but unfortunately what we got was nowhere near what we payed. We debated leaving and driving home after the first night. Would not recommend

There was no breakfast included, but we ate in the restaurant twice for breakfast...the first time was exceptional, large portions and delicious. The second time, the pancakes were under-cooked and chef was happy to re-make the order and take it off our bill.

Every night you will get hit with a “credit card audit” per the front desk. I paid around 1000$ for 3 nights and so I was already painful on my credit card and every night I got hit with 250$-350$ credit card charge. 619$ was how much got taken. They said it was a hold and I would get that money back but that was my spending money for the strip and bars which are already expensive. I finally told them if they hit me with another 300$ charge for non thing I wouldn’t be able to pay the valet fee or anything in general

Beautiful hotel, walking distance to tons of music and restaurants
- 4/5
The hotel is great. It has a cool ambiance. Everyone is kind. Outside of the bar, the service is a little slow and maybe understaffed. We were waiting to get coffees to go and ended up just leaving after 10 mins. The room lighting is a little low especially in the bathroom when trying to put makeup on. Just an FYI to the ladies. :-)

THANK YOU, Ray Powers

Great stay!

It’s only my first day at Hotel Indigo Nashville, yet this trip already feels so special. From the polished rooms to the thoughtful welcome, everything has exceeded my expectations. The complimentary breakfast and drinks at the bar were such a kind touch, and I’m certain the rest of my stay will be just as wonderful. A heartfelt thank you to Andrea and Heather for their warmth and hospitality—they’ve made the beginning of this journey truly unforgettable.
- 5/5
I would stay at this hotel again. A Nashville hotel that is not near Broadway, but is walkable to all attractions. It is in Printers Alley; which ended up being where we ended every night, because it was so fun and could always sit down and enjoy the music. This hotel is decorated very cool. The bar off the lobby is great, and the bartenders were awesome. Staff at hotel is also wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Nashville. Rooms are big, compared to say a hotel in New York City. Very spacious rooms. Beds were comfortable, and bathrooms are very nice and big.
- 5/5
First up, the staff was outstanding. They made me feel right at home. The room was clean and quiet and the bed super comfortable. The hotel was close to everything but not in the noisiest part of the city. I always enjoy the Indigo.

The quality
- 4/5
We grabbed some snacks from the hotel lobby but I can’t weigh in on the breakfast as we left before service. A couple cons - shower floor was super slippery and the handle was loose to the shower door. We also had ants on the desk table (not a huge deal, just relayed to front desk). Valet parking was expensive but that’s to be expected. Overall, I would stay there again!
- 5/5
Would suggest adding another trashcan to the room, otherwise awesome!
- 5/5
Very fun! Everyone was so kind and helpful
- 4/5
The entertainment was excellent!! Food selection wasn't the best. The beds were amazing.
- 5/5
Heather and the gal that worked along with her were just AMAZING and accomadating.
- 4/5
The hotel was great and it was a great location. If you’re a light sleeper, this is probably not the place for you. I was on the 4th floor where they have lighting on the exterior of the building so lights are shining in all night long and the curtains had a gap when closed all the way. There is also a ton of outside noise inside the room. The hotel itself was very nice and walkable to broadway and right next to printers alley but if you’re a light sleeper like me, it’ll be challenging to get some sleep.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Great vibe at the hotel.
- 1/5
All of the staff were wonderful, professional and helpful. However our shower leaked.. I clled for room service and got a response the day after we checked our.. plus I was charged for the night after paying Expedia. I am stll trying to get a refund. I sit on hold.. after an hour give my contact info..and get disconnected... your c9mpany needs better phone service and te ability to complete a chalkenfe.
- 5/5
great experience!!
- 3/5
Front desk service was rude and not accomodating. Valet drivers smoked weed and when we got into our car it smelt of it. Housekeeping was called for extra blankets since we had to sleep on the floor in our room for, what the hotel says was a 3rd party misclarification at time of booking. No rollaways available,as they stated. So we slept on the floor. For 2 nights. Again, no follow up, no accommodation to try. There excuse was they were sold out and we checked un last that night. And the women had a hickey on her neck at the front desk. Although not to judge, it was unprofessional to have it exposed. Music was great, decor was beautiful. Location fantastic if you need to be near the stadium. Easy walking distance.

Great staff

Everything was great for our quick trip to see Nashville.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel and its location. Step right out the side door off the bar area to dive bar alley just two blocks from music row! Hotel is beautiful and staff is friendly. The live music in the bar was a great way to end our evening!

I was told that my card would not be charged until I checked in, I never checked in and still got charged. Expedia blatantly lied to me about being charged until check in.
- 2/5
Nothing good to say. Will never go back or recommend. Way, way overpriced.
- 5/5
The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is delicious with nightly entertainment.

Staff was very nice. Beautiful property!

Nice easy walk to broadway and fun

The ladies up front were nice enough, but not great. During the 'welcome' speech, I had to ask clarifying questions, to which the lady admitted she was wrong on the time of the bar closing (becomes an issue later) and admitted she didn't know info about another. The valet staff were excellent, and helped guide me to a place I could self park. This was the other issue. I understand it is a downtown hotel. But 60 dollars on a Sunday for Valet?! No. Not when I found parking 3 blocks away for 20 dollars for the whole stay. The hotel made no compensation for construction on street or renovations being done in the hotel, which meant just unloading a couple backpacks was even more of a hassle. Plus, a resort fee. For what? There is no pool, or other amenities. The live music, which is understandable, is way too loud no matter where you are anywhere in the hotel's first floor. You can barely even check in, the music drowns out the ladies at front desk. Back to the bar- the bar tenders were very nice, but their hands are tied. At check in the lady clarified bar closes at 11. I went down at 1020. The bar was closing. The bar tender said there weren't many people so he was told to close. If I am paying a resort fee, and the bar closes at 11, I should be able to get a beer at 1020. No microwave in room, and when I went to the bar in the morning, I was told I would have to wait 10 minutes.

Enjoyed my 1 night stay in town for a comedy show. The location was great, easy to drive in from the north without hitting traffic. Parked at the Printers Alley garage for $50/24hr but later learned that if you pull up the Waze map it shows surrounding parking with rates where my cousin was able to find $25/24hr parking garage nearby. Check in was super quick & friendly. Room was very spacious, updated and clean. Bed & pillows were comfy. I wish we'd had time to get dinner at the hotel restaurant because the food looked good & is positively reviewed. Lobby area & restaurant atmosphere was a nice cozy vibe. Walk out the front door, turn left and you're on Printer's Alley. Quick walk to Broadway, there's a corner store around the block for snacks & drinks to have in the room, walking distance to the Ryman. Only negative to note was I could hear people in the next room/hall but that happens in a party town. Would definitely stay here again and/or visit the restaurant.

This was the second stay at Hotel Indigo. Staff is excellent. Live music at dinner. Bed is very comfortable. Will stay again!!
- 4/5
Live music in the lobby each night was great. Renovated older hot but great location at top of Printers Alley. Walking distance to Broadway and 2nd Ave.
- 5/5
Great hotel. There is still minor construction going on but it’s beautiful inside. Location is perfect. Next to Printers Alley and a short walk to Broadway, Bridgestone Arena, The Ryman, and Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
- 5/5
This hotel is perfectly located for whatever you might want to do in downtown Nashville. It’s also a beautifully-designed property with thoughtful details and a chic art deco vibe. I would absolutely stay here again any time I return to Music City.
- 5/5
Coming down that took me only to an exit door, had to leave building and come back in around the corner. We’d definitely consider a stay here again for the location alone
- 3/5
Over priced for room
- 4/5
Positively phenomenal food and staff. Some of the friendliest most hospitable hotel I’ve ever encountered. Rooms were not as nice as the lobby and bar which was the main attraction. Live music nightly was wonderful and not overbearing, if you want to really rock out printers alley literally around the corner is a great option

Amazing stay. Broadway is a quick walk with plenty of food options around the area. P

We had a fantastic stay but was disappointed that the gym was out of action. We didnt know this when we booked. The hotel did offer free passes to another gym but it was a 20 to 25 minute walk away and this was too far for us. They did compensate us for this.

The staff in this hotel were incredible! I felt so welcomed. Thanks so much Andrea and Heather!

Great place to stay. Staff was exceptional!!!
- 4/5
Enjoyed the convenience of this location. The beds were very comfortable. Felt very safe with room key required to ride elevator. The only two negatives were the room window shades/blinds. They were taped up paper shades that were difficult to raise if you wanted to let in light but did not keep the room dark in the morning. The other big issue was valet parking. The 3 employees never stopped moving but Saturday morning check out had us waiting 20 - 25 minutes for our vehicle.
- 3/5
Was given the wrong room at check in. Reserved a king and got a 2 queen room. Had to go back to desk and get room corrected. Was a hassle dragging all my luggage up and down elevator
- 5/5
The live entertainment was great!
- 3/5
The rooms are clearly newly renovated but still unfinished. Lobby area is a very nice, but elevators can be slow and I imagine it gets worse on a crowded weekend. Accessible to Broadway and the area surrounding hotel is quiet.

They gave my room away and I had to find a new hotel the day of…

Friendly staff, good food, comfy bed, and a spacious room. Would ask for a room.on the front dide next time.to avoid the early morning noise from the back service alley.

Amazing hospitality and very friendly. Location is in walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
I definitely will stay here again!! Everything was great.
- 5/5
Everyone who worked there from the front desk to the restaurant were extremely nice.
- 4/5
The staff are extremely nice and the property was very a warm Nashville vibe. The issue that I have is that I was expecting some kind of comp and should have spoken up for myself at the time. They put me initially on a floor that has only been open for 2 wks- shower temp was only warm, thermostat didn’t go above 65, remote wasn’t working. I actually considered sucking it up, but I had a dog and it was too important to have a warm room. I rented 2 rooms for family and we had to move to a different floor with all our stuff. They did come up to assist with moving to the other room but I of course left something behind because it was a lot. The girl at the front desk was great, so I do not want to minimize that. But I have been to so many hotels and they usually offer something as an apologetic gesture.
- 5/5
Fabulous staff, bar, and great music! Comfy bed, too. They took excellent care of us and we are grateful!
- 4/5
Favorite part of the hotel was hands down the dining/bar area where we saw several great performers. Also, the food in the dining room was lights out amazing!! Our room was clean and comfy. The hotel is has parts that are older which is part of the charm but some may view as slightly outdated.
- 2/5
We were given the wrong room at check-in and had to talk to Expedia to get the difference refunded. We would rather have had the correct room.
- 5/5
Great service. Beautiful hotel.
- 4/5
We had a great stay! Quiet hotel and friendly staff. Only recommendation is a full length mirror in the room! There was only one mirror and it was in the bathroom. Also an option for a curtain on the shower. We had a handicap room.
- 4/5
The staff were lovely and helpful. The lobby is gorgeous, and the location is super close to everything but off Broadway so it’s not loud. But the property is being renovated. Our floor had no a/c in the hallway. Our room had not been renovated and had some issues. An extremely loud vent that was always running and rattling. Our hot water was not originally working so we had to ask for help to fix that. The room was right off the elevator and was very small. Plugs in the bedside lamps did not work to charge phones. So once renovated we would love to stay there again but it was having some growing pains during renovations.
- 5/5
Great music in the bar, clean rooms , convenient to everything.
- 5/5
This place is very instagramable. Adorable decor that is cozy and tasteful. The hotel smelled delicious. Like cinnamon and fall. Right next store to printers alley. Very quiet and beds were comfortable. Would stay again
- 3/5
The front desk person, Heather, and the bellhop, Joe were great! Unfortunately, the hotel was under construction so the gym wasn't available, they did have passes to a gym across down which wasn't very convenient. The cable seemed very spotty and kept going out, but I think it might have had something to do with the construction of a floor above my room. They were charging $6.95 for a cup of coffee in the bar in the morning, but once the bartender found out my coffee maker in the room wasn't working she comped my coffee and had the front desk get me a new machine. I stayed here before Covid and they provided free coffee in the lobby each morning and cookies at check-in. Sadly that's not the case any longer. For such an upscale hotel you would expect to get those things. Again, the staff were amazing but unfortunately, I won't be staying here again and I come to Nashville frequently for work.
- 5/5
Great hotel, we used the valet to park otherwise there is only street parking, the area was very busy, lots of traffic but we were able to walk to Broadway for the live music and food and drinks, which is the reason we were there. They had breakfast but they charged around $40 per person.
- 5/5
Great stay in Nashville. Close to Broadway anc concert venues, restaurant. We parked and walked everywhere! Very friendly staff.

Nice Property.

This was my first time in Nashville. I wanted to be somewhat close to Broadway Street without being directly on it. The location of this hotel is perfect. The only downside to staying downtown in basically any major city is the lack of parking. So we paid the $50 for valet in and out service all day The room we had was very spacious and clean and surprisingly big. The bathroom was very nice. We could easily walk to Broadway as well. WHEN I visit Nashville again, I’m definitely staying here. Thanks again Heather!
