Super cute place to stay with a fun atmosphere!
- 3/5
There was nothing to put our luggage on in our room. We had to use the lawn furniture from outside our door. Staff were friendly & helpful.
- 5/5
Great place. Everything was clean. Staff is very friendly.
- 3/5
Everything was great. The jacuzzi heat was broken at the time of stay.
- 4/5
The property was super cool and stayed on theme in every detail. The staff was super friendly and attentive! Our room itself was really really dark and to get any extra lighting you had to turn on the party switch. It would've been great to have an extra lamp or something. The drain in the tub was also not very good so any time you showered you were standing in a good amount of water. I was a little bummed about the no TV in the room, but I understand staying on theme.
- 4/5
The Dive Motel is definitely a very cool designed motel. The staff was great, Will the bartender was a lot of fun. The rooms are pretty awesome from a vintage design perspective. One of my favorite things is the disco ball in every room!! The only issues I had were that some of the blinds slates were broken, so people could have peeked into my room if they wanted to. I jammed socks in the gaps at night. The beds are VERY soft, so if you like a firmer mattress, be ready for some discomfort. Also, several of the lamps and/or light switches didn’t work properly, so I had to unplug them at night and back in later.
- 5/5
My fiancé and I stayed in Penthouse 1 & the vibe is just unmatched. The perfect tub setup does exist here! The music choice on the wall was a nice touch as well. It did rain our entire stay so didn’t get to enjoy the pool or hot tub. All in all had an incredible stay!!
- 5/5
Place was fun. No one ever complained about the music being too loud so it was a welcomed change!
- 5/5
I wish we had gotten to spend more time at the actual hotel while in town, but they
- 5/5
We had an amazing time at The Dive Motel! Love the fun, chill atmosphere. The bar was great and highly recommend the margarita! The staff were also equally chill and attentive! We will be back! Even if just to pop into the bar.
- 4/5
The con is that the area where it is located - there is no much around and there is limited parking space. I read about noise (as there is a nice bar there!!), but it ended up at 10pm - so no issues at all :) Wish I had time to enjoy the pool :)
- 5/5
Love this hidden gem! The vibes are awesome, staff was friendly, and the themed rooms are so fun! We will definitely be back!!
- 5/5
Did not like dead spider in room When arrived but that’s ok. It happens
- 5/5
This was such a great, quirky place to stay! The staff were super helpful and nice. The decor was groovy and everything was very clean and maintained. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Nashville.
- 5/5
7 min drive to broadway perfect location and staff was excellent thanks
- 5/5
It was all great. Love how this old motel was given new life. Very well done and full of character. Reasonable price.
- 4/5
The bubbles did not function
- 5/5
Loved it
- 4/5
Bar and drinks and bartender and staff were friendly and awesome
- 5/5
This place is so fun! My partner and I stayed for 2 nights on a road trip and wished we could’ve stayed longer. Great amenities, the pool is super nice and cool hotel bar. The themed rooms are so fun. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Nashville!
- 4/5
The lobby bar is very nice and good to work in.
- 5/5
We had a great time. The staff was awesome. It is definitely throwback to the 70s.
- 5/5
Loved it from the minute I walked in the front door.
- 5/5
This is absolutely perfect if you love something cute, fun, clean, and just delightful. 10/10 recommend!!!
- 5/5
Not that you wouldn't want to leave the property to experience Nashville but honestly you could not leave the property and have a great vacation to Nashville. Rooms are fun, pool is fun, bar is fun, you can make 100 friends at the pool. Ride share never really exceeded $10 to get anywhere.
- 5/5
Best hang in Nashville!
- 5/5
Second time staying here and was a blast once again! Loved the theme of our room (orange, my finace's favorite color!) Comfy and relaxing for the days we stayed for a concert and little getaway.
- 4/5
Hot tub and pool great, nostalgic hang with good drinks and nice staff
- 1/5
Booked this not knowing it was an adults only with my 18 year-old which is considered an adult, but it was 21 and over so when I went to check in, I was unable to check in lost my money had to get a second hotel room not happy. 21 and over should be the #1 thing on the page.
- 5/5
Such a special place! The staff is amazing. The pool is such a vibe and the best music is always playing. Every time I walk in the room and flip on the party switch I’m instantly in the best mood. I try to stay there at least once a year it’s like my happy place.
- 5/5
This place is so fun!!
- 5/5
The coolest place to stay in Nashville!
- 4/5
Super fun stay! Nostalgic lobby with a full bar and funky rooms with a party switch to keep the party going. The dive also has fun events; happy hours, poll party’s with DJ’s, movie nights and pool aerobics.
- 4/5
Very cool retro motel with nice staff and great pool atmosphere.
- 4/5
The stay was good, we’ve been a few times now and we always have a great time. From the pool to the staff and the bartenders and the vibe it’s always a great time. My only point of dissatisfaction was the parking, the lot is already tiny and I really think some spots should be saved for guests. We had to park a block down at the dry cleaners and they have a huge sign that says customer parking only. The lady at the front desk advised we park at the schoool next door but they had an event going on and so the dry cleaners was our best bet. I feel they need to prioritize guests over people stopping by just for a swim. Might not stay here again just to avoid any inconvenience.
- 5/5
Staff were all fantastic and the free classes offered something fun to do without having to leave. We had a blast at swing class and the water aerobics the next morning was such a nice touch. Food truck and bar were both great and the Photo Booth and decor were all perfect.
- 5/5
Loved the vibe and comfort of the place. The pool was a great scene during the day
- 5/5
Our second time here and my wife and I absolutely love this place. The staff are fantastic, the pool and rooms are perfect. We definitely will be staying here again!
- 3/5
It’s a cute hotel but when we checked in we went to our room and it was covered in condensation. The sheets and blankets, the walls and floor. I grew up in this area so I understand humidity but we had to turn on the AC and come back in a few hours so it could dry.
- 5/5
great motel! loved the vibe. great service. cool rooms. hope to make it back.
- 5/5
Amazing stay just wish we had a better heads up on the free tickets to the event before we bought the tickets too
- 5/5
Last thing I wanna mention is that this place is different in the summer months- pool is open to the public during the day. Something I wasn’t aware of during booking, so keep it in mind- summer months are gonna be more of a pool party and fall/winter is definitely more private and lowkey. In any case, this place is a gem. We’ll definitely be back.
- 5/5
This is a solid little place. 10/10 vibes. The in-room stations are great… never thought I’d hear a track from a James Marcel Stinson side project in a hotel. Docking a point from the room because the mini split only goes down to 68 and I like to keep the temp at “Ice Planet Hoth” levels while I sleep.
- 3/5
The staff is really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself has some issues. When I first checked in, I noticed the room had a bad odor to it. I went to the front desk and asked if they had any other open rooms and was told "Is it a musty smell? yeah they all have that"... yuck. True, the second room also smelled. The room(s) I was given were also not the room I intended to book (the pink mural room) and the furniture is all really old/thrift store looking and there is a lot of dirt and debris in the corners. The bathroom is just paint on top of old tiles so it's chipping in a lot of places. There were some spiders. BUT, the biggest issue was the fact that loud music starts at 8 AM and plays at the pool all day long. It's impossible to sleep in or relax in the afternoon. I get it that it's fun at the pool... but what about the guests? Other plus was that parking was free, but I won't be returning.
- 5/5
Very cool place to stay in Nashville. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the pool
- 5/5
Super clean, good vibe
- 5/5
The staff are all incredibly friendly! The hotel vibe is fun and exactly as described on Expedia! Easy access to everything in Nashville, while being out of the fray!
- 5/5
Check in and check out was super easy, all staff were sweet and helpful. The room was exactly as expected!
- 5/5
Such a great property! Love the pool and entertainment. The bed was soooo comfortable. The environment was fantastic. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
This hotel in particular was fantastic. The area is a little less than desirable, however. Every Uber driver we had told us how dangerous the area was at night. We didn't feel unsafe during the day.
- 5/5
Always great staying there. Will be back :)
- 1/5
Dirty Hotel, with no hot water. I do not recommend.
- 5/5
This place was super groovey
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back in the summer and experience the pool

Loved staying here! The vibes were perfect for my birthday weekend. Cant wait to stay here again in the future.
- 5/5
The staff was fabulous. Place is awesome. Highly recommend it.
- 4/5
The Pros: killer aesthetic, fun vibe, comfy beds, not far from downtown, and tickets upon check in for free canned drinks at their bar, just for staying at the motel. The Cons: the structure was built in 1956(?) so the pipes are old and there is little to no sound proofing/insulation. We travel with a white noise sound machine and still heard conversations of people walking by our room early in the morning. Also, on-site parking is very limited and if you arrive on the weekend there may not be on-site parking (meaning that you have to park at the neighboring school). While The Dive has security cameras in their small parking lot, the school may or may not be aware that motel guests park on their property on the weekends. Even in The Dive’s small parking lot they have multiple signs stating they are not responsible for break-ins or stolen items. When I asked the girl at check in she told me “break-ins don’t happen *that* often”. More than once constitutes a problem in my eyes but our vehicle was unscathed after a night at The Dive. The motel is not in the safest part of town, but it wasn’t a bad Uber ride to and from The Dive and Downtown Nashville. The light switch to control the in-room music also controlled the disco ball, so if you wanted to enjoy their radio, you had to have the disco ball spinning. Not a big con but a minor inconvenience.
- 5/5
I loved the retro vibe and it had everything we needed!
- 5/5
From the minute we got in the staff was friendly and inviting, we got to our room and it didn't disappoint, disco ball and all. We hit the hot tub after a long day (pool isn't heated so hadn't got to temp yet). afterwards headed to the fantastic bar to enjoy some nightcaps before turning in. This is going to be our go to place to stay in Nashville.
- 1/5
I drove 3 hours for the trip I booked as a gift for my daughter’s birthday only to be told at the desk it’s a 21 place and we couldn’t stay. Told me to call Expedia for a refund that told me the site refused my refund. I messaged the site and the site told me contact Expedia with my issues about the site details not being specific. Site should require drivers licenses info at booking. Horrible experience
- 1/5
Although I will make it very clear that It’s my fault that the site I booked on did not specify that it was an OVER 21 hotel, I Lost money and extremely disappointed and upset!!!! I don’t know how I missed it, or would have ever known but I hope my review cautions people that YOU MUsT BE 21 ALL GUESTS IN THE PARTY & HAVE ID. My son was with me that was 16, and just so disappointed to lose money and not be able to stay or get a refund for the mishap.
- 5/5
We had so much fun here, definitely going to come back.
- 5/5
The staff is great. Room and ambience were romantic.
- 5/5
Unique place to stay!
- 5/5
Such a cool spot such a cool vibe 100% reccomend
- 4/5
I absolutely loved the decor in my room only issue was that the lighting was kind of limited . Maybe adding a few brighter lights could be helpful for the getting ready aspect. Overall I enjoyed my stay !
- 5/5
So fun! Employees were very helpful. Loved that they kept you informed of everything through text. Rooms were very clean. Mattress was comfortable but the bed was a little saggy in the middle. The only other complaint is that I wish there was a full length mirror on the back of the bathroom door. Loved the bar. Too cold to swim but it looked like fun! The music and the disco ball were fun in the room. Off the beaten path and the area isn’t the greatest, but we never felt unsafe. No tv which was fine with us. Who’s going to watch tv in Nashville anyway?! We loved it and will definitely be back! Would like to try one of the penthouses next time!
- 5/5
Was a little confusing at first as the front desk is inside the restaurant but just took a few minutes to figure all that out. The weather was cold during our stay so we didn't go anywhere near the pool but imagine relaxing there would have been great on a warmer day. Our only real criticism, and it's not something the Dive can really do anything about, is the area around it. There is nothing within walking distance so any food required a drive. Not a big deal but just something to think about if you are getting there late and hungry.
- 5/5
The Dive Motel was absolutely fantastic. Stepping back in time with their curated 70s style rooms, complete with disco ball and dive radio. Not having a TV made us spend time in the moment together which is hard to come by these days. The staff was friendly and tentative to our needs. I loved their text system if we needed anything and when they were closing up each night. Comedy night was an absolute hit! It was within 10 mins of broadway, which made it very easy. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
The Penthouse Room at Dive Motel was just the place to reconnect and rejuvenate for a weekend stay. Between the disco balls, the dual tubs and the floor level king bed you find yourself in a golden lit sanctuary for the senses. Definitely recommend for a weekend away
- 4/5
It’s a cute little place. No TV.
- 5/5
Nice place very romantic
- 4/5
Super cool spot to stay for a night, but poor lighting and lack of amenities makes it difficult to stay comfortably for numerous nights. There’s a mini fridge but nowhere to store or set anything on. No iron. We literally went and bought lightbulbs to temporarily replace what was in the room. Staff was awesome and the bar was great
- 3/5
If you are looking for a seedy, nostalgic, classic motel you see in those 1970's movies, this is your place! It's decked out in wood paneled walls, pink bathroom and furniture from that era - and includes a Disco ball in each room. It was cool that they had swanky music playing in the room when we arrived. Bed was comfortable. That's where the excitement ends! The rooms are quite small compared to the pics on the website. There is VERY LITTLE lighting in the room. After dark you need a flashlight just to look in your suitcase. Cement floors. No place to sit your items. No amenities in the room such as a coffee pot or microwave -- OH -- but they make sure you have a tray full of condoms, lubricant gel and a vibrator for purchase right at your bedside! This is a one nighter motel, at best, only for the experience with the decor.
- 5/5
Coming back!
- 5/5
Quirky place. We had the Elvis room. Concrete floor. No tile, wood, or linoleum. Being slippers or flip flops.
- 5/5
This place is AMAZING. We actually kinda loved being in our room and on the property more than being in Nashville proper. If there were more food and coffee options within walking distance we probably wouldn't have driven anywhere at all. The playlists were amazing and the bar was great. The decor was awesome. Bed is clean and comfy. Absolutely going back there for our next visit.
- 5/5
Stayed one night before meeting up with friends in Nashville. Sharing stay - would recommend to anyone!
- 5/5
This day was awesome, I will definitely visit there in the summer as I think it can only get even better
- 5/5
It was a great atmosphere! We will be back. There was no clothing storage so we had to put our clothes on the ground. Otherwise, great place and not far from downtown.
- 5/5
Loved the kind staff and welcome drinks, unique design features, cozy and pet-friendly room, hot tub, photo booth. Such a great overnight in Nashville. We’ll be back for pool party season!
- 5/5
Loved the room and staff. Can’t wait to visit again so we can take advantage of the pool.
- 5/5
The manager was very friendly and the room was very clean.
- 5/5
A fun eclectic boutique hotel. The throwback 70s decor in our room was fantastic. All the staff was friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
The Dive's 70's disco theme makes for an unforgettable stay. Convenient location a short drive from downtown and many music venues. Room comes fully stocked with a mini bar, snacks and toiletries available for purchase. Will definitely be back in the summer.
- 5/5
We had a great 2 night stay. The rooms are so fun and the staff was great. We were able to enjoy the last pool party of the season. The music was amazing and we met a lot of new people from all over. Will definitely hit the motel up again next time we’re in town.

Samantha Drohan.
- 5/5
I was part of a group of 6 staying for a long weekend. We purposely picked this motel for the aesthic. We arrived Thursday just ahead of Hurricane Helena. Brandy Lynn and the rest of the staff were amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed and were happy to provide recommendations for places to eat. The motel bar had comedians on Thursday and swing dance lessons with a live band on Friday night, which was a fun surprise. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were aware there were no TVs in the room when we booked and we were good with that. We did not plan on spending much time in our rooms anyway. With the storm rolling through we did spend more time than anticipated at the motel but we made the best of it and played cards in the common areas. I would recommend if you are looking for something other than your normal boring hotels.
- 5/5
The property itself is spectacular, exactly as advertised, and if you get the chance to be there for "swing night" it is a 'do not miss' experience. Unfortunately, I was there during a tropical storm, so I did not get to use the pool at all, but it looked like great fun. There is almost nothing immediately near the property (I walked a couple miles in each direction, there are not even sidewalks) so be sure you are comfortable taking transportation to activities.
- 2/5
Not what I was expecting.
- 5/5
We had a great time thank you so much for having us! Room was great. Front desk was friendly and informative.
- 5/5
Very unique and fun stay. Really enjoyed my room and if I was twenty years younger, would have enjoyed the pool as well. Also really liked the bar and the staff were super awesome. If you want something more then just a place to rest your head, this is a great place to stay.
- 5/5
This place was like stepping into the grooviest time capsule ever. Because it is a period piece it will have certain natural limitations… Sound insulation for instance, but it is absolutely worth a visit. Excellent communication from the staff who are lovely people. I will be back.
- 5/5
Really fun spot to stay and hangout! The property has been renovated, so it's 'old'. The pool was great, the rooms are lovely, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff was really accommodating. My group is planning to come back next year.
- 4/5
Very groovy place.
- 4/5
The lights in the room were quite dim, and we had some issues with condensation from the mini fridge leaving some puddles on the floor. The blinds were also broken and we had to put socks in them so people couldn’t see in. Overall a super fun place to stay, we had a great time and the vibes were exactly as expected!
- 5/5
If you are in the Nashville area and do not stay here at least once you are doing yourself an injustice. I stay all over and this is the quirkiest and cleanest place in the area. I have stayed in luxe trendy hotels downtown. If you are looking at Virgin or the Moxy check these guys out first. Cannot wait to come back. Staff is incredibly friendly. Cannot say enough good things.
- 3/5
You should review the events calendar on the property website before booking your stay. We were not able to use the pool because it was so crowded. That’s our fault for not checking, but also a helpful tip for others.
- 3/5
Cute but definitely VINTAGE. Room smelled like dog and/or frat party. Pool was far too busy from day visitors (non-guests) to use on arrival and closed too early, extremely noisy. One hour pool time reserved for guests 9-10am was taken up by water aerobics class.
- 5/5
My wife and I just got back from a 4 day stay at the dive motel and we couldn’t have been happier! The room was clean, super unique, and such a cool place to stay. The pool was excellent and so was the rest of the place. The staff could not have been nicer! We hated to leave and will definitely be visiting again!!!
- 5/5
This place is really cool, definitely will stay again.
- 1/5
Do not be fooled by the amazing pictures, because they do not match the real life version. The room we had was musty, concrete floors and A/C makes for a must basement smell.i have asthma and it was triggering it so I told the owner I couldn’t stay there .they offered another room but the bar/office smelled just as terrible as the room so safe to say the whole place smells.i asked for my money back but she said she couldn’t because I used hotels.com and she said good luck on getting my money back.i contacted hotels .com and they talked to her to ask to wave the cancellation fee so i could get my money back and she refused .safe to say do not stay here !
- 3/5
Cute idea. Rooms were bare with concrete floors and no rugs. Be aware there are no TVs and WIFI isn't that great. The pool was nice but closes at 8 pm and during the day is full of people with day passes. Bar closes at 10 pm and the neighborhood isn't that great.
- 5/5
So fun. I was hard to believe we were in Nashville. It seemed like we on Route 66 out weat
- 2/5
The property definitely was not what we thought it was. Definitely X-Rated
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay
- 5/5
This place is an absolute gem! From the decor to the weekend swing dancing. Loved it!
- 5/5
Went for business the hotel had great reviews. Can’t wait to go for a weekend seems like it would be a really fun hotel to lounge by the pool and it looks like they have live bands etc.
- 5/5
Great spot for those who know.
- 2/5
😟😟😟
- 5/5
Great vibes. Great bar. Loved the room and pool
- 5/5
What a surprising little treat! I wish we had been staying more than one night. We will come back so we can enjoy the hotel features more thoroughly next time!
