Reviews
The Urban Cowboy hotel is highly praised for its unique, funky, and beautiful decor, with comfortable beds and friendly, helpful staff. However, some guests express concerns about the lack of basic amenities and storage space in the rooms, as well as the breakfast quality.

- Lack of basic amenities and storage space in rooms

Clean, super nice & communicative staff, great food, cool vibe. It’s quirky and comfortable. I would say far more geared to adults because it’s small w only a few rooms - I don’t recall seeing kids there, but it’s in a great location in E Nashville, college age & up.

The hotel was even better than the pictures! The vibe of the hotel and the neighborhood was pristine. Service was great if I am ever in Tennessee again I will definitely stay here
- 3/5
It’s not your typical boutique hotel. My husband and I have been wanting to stay there for years. The experience was underwhelming and here is why: no reserved guest parking so if it’s a popular night out you will be using street parking somewhere in the neighborhood. You cannot control your rooms A/C. There is no TV if you’re looking to decompress after a busy day. No staff after hours and we weren’t aware of that until arrival. Requests sent via text but no one replied to our bathroom power loss. Busy nights with locals take up all the hangout spaces so be prepared. They do offer a continental breakfast that is tasty and the location within the neighborhood is perfect. The bed is very comfortable and shower is lovely.

Awesome find. Historical building. Great staff. We stayed the night of writers row so we were fortunate to have great entertainment. A definite repeat stay

Beyond expectations just a great experience

Amazing bar, amazing staff, amazing spot and location.

Room was beautiful, elegant, and cozy. Breakfast was simple yet high quality. Bathtub was luxurious. Jazz was incredible. And it's situated in the perfect spot to walk to dinner, drinks, and coffee. We sipped bubbly from the porch and drank in the relaxed atmosphere. Been dreaming of a stay here for over 7 years--it did not disappoint! Can't wait till next time!

Fun quirky place to stay with a very hip vibe.
- 3/5
Staff was lovely, but there was no closet in my room, there was also no dresser. It was super weird that there was nowhere to put my clothes. Room and bathroom was very dark. Shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold.
- 4/5
The room was clean, but it is not for those seeking relaxation or a quiet vacation, it serves as a party spot for locals and tourist, featuring a public bar and restaurant.
- 5/5
Loved it, beautiful & authentic.
- 5/5
Unique adult only environment with hospitable staff and great location. The bed was comfy, shower was awesome and the claw foot tub, super cute. Will definitely be back.

I love this unique hotel! I have stayed here before, this was my first time in the Captain's Room which was my favorite! Staff were incredibly helpful

funky and clever, great lounge

Staying here was very delighting. The staff is very personable and left nothing to be desired. The location is very lively and beautiful, and a unique treat to have access to during the hours the location is "closed". Won't soon forget our time here.

Check-in was effortless, and every room showcases its own beautifully curated design. The lobby bar offers fantastic ambience, and the attached Public House restaurant provides plenty of seating—complete with multiple fire pits. And the bonus? Delicious Roberta’s pizza on the menu. We’d highly recommend this spot and found ourselves talking about it throughout the rest of our vacation.

The neighborhood appeared to be very safe and there is lots of food right there. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. If you like live music, this is the place for you. Very limited parking but the street parking was safe. Overall it was a good stay. The parking is very limited
- 5/5
Parking is safe, great food, great drink options.
- 5/5
Parking filled up quickly in the evening, but there was street parking if needed.
- 5/5
Urban Cowboy is stunning! I am from Nashville and had a lovely birthday staycation. Parking was super easy. The live music, the welcome drink, the decor, the bars, everything was absolutely wonderful!

We love this place and want to try out all the rooms! They have THE BEST robes and sheets. Just bathe for a bit in the claw foot tubs with their bath salts and bubble bath, then step into the robe and lay in the very comfortable bed…. good lawd!!

The breakfast was convenient, but a little more “carbs forward” than what we would normally choose. Think of it like “continental+”. Not a criticism, it worked for us 2 out of three mornings, and the coffee was 3/3. The soaking tub and large shower in our room were phenomenal, especially given it was July heat wave, so cooling off/soaking/nap were the right way to spend noon-230pm. This place is just great, as long as you aren’t someone who needs hotels to be “cookie cutter”, which this is NOT.
- 5/5
So much more comfortable than what we expected. I am looking forward to staying at another Urban Cowboy resort. The staff is top notch.

Eat boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The attention to detail is incredible.

Urban Cowboy has a really terrific interior design aesthetic. The staff was warm and welcoming, everything from the bar staff to the check-in staff. Really enjoyed the complementary drink and breakfast included.
- 5/5
It was a great unique experience that is like no other hotel. Comfortable and enjoyable environment.
- 5/5
This is my absolute favorite place to stay in Nashville and honestly probably all of the US.
- 5/5
Could have used a few more small end tables. Just somewhere to set things down.

We loved Urban Cowboy. It’s eclectic and comfortable. Definitely find a night to grab pizza and eat out back at a picnic table lit by orange lanterns.
- 5/5
Hidden gem in the middle of a residential area with plenty of walkable eating/dining options.
- 5/5
Unique!
- 5/5
I am so happy I chose Urban Cowboy for my stay in Nashville. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The staff was top notch. The beds were super comfortable, they had my all my favorite toiletries. It was truly just such a cozy and thoughtful place. The cherry on top was my favorite, Roberta’s pizza (: I will most definitely come back.
- 5/5
The Urban Cowboy is a cool, low-key, funky, beautiful place. It's in a great neighbourhood, where, clearly, a lot of progressive people live. Can't say enough about the manager, Tosha, who was friendly, accommodating and knowledgable about local restaurants, shopping, etc.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at the Urban Cowboy. It is such a unique place and a great experience. We stayed in the Rambling Rose and loved it. It’s beautiful and the bed is comfortable. We enjoyed the welcome drink at the Parlor Bar and the ease of check in and getting answers to questions being just a text away. East Nashville is a neat part of town and we are glad we stayed here.
- 5/5
The rooms are unique, funky and quiet Not a better location on earth that 16th and woodland
- 5/5
Awesome decor in room. Comfortable bed, unique bathing facilities, and memorable night stay!!
- 5/5
Plush, Hippy-Dippy decorated old mansion ideal for Nashville. Music, bar, restaurant, and the bath tub were excellent. Our very comfortable bed was on the floor making it kind of hard for this 69 year old to get up. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Fun place.
- 5/5
I loved the room we stayed in! It was very unique. We would love to come back when we can stay longer and really enjoy the amenities.
- 5/5
Excellent service with attentive staff.
- 5/5
Super cool vibe and overall aesthetic! Very unique rooms with a nice wine bar and live music.
- 5/5
A little shining gem in east Nashville. The staff was kind and the place was so fun and unique, the breakfast was an added bonus. The wine bar had lots of great options and the pizza can’t be missed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone!
- 5/5
It's a unique place to stay. We loved the atmosphere and how quaint things are. The staff are friendly, but let you have your stay without interruptions. We enjoyed our stay and will go back.
- 5/5
We really loved the aesthetic of the property and the coziness of the room. The house is absolutely beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Wish our room would have had more shelves or tables to put things and it didn't have a TV in it (we didn't need one but some might). We stayed in the Tower room.
- 4/5
The hotel was really fun and unique, bed was super comfortable (we stayed in the tower.) While the bed was comfy, it was on the floor making it tricky to get out of. The only place to get clean was the tub in the middle of the room (no shower,) the light in the bathroom had been painted over making it hard to see in there, there was no place to put a makeup bag, no place to hang or put clothes away and not really any space to leave a suitcase open. The included breakfast was a joke - even without a kitchen on sight they certainly could do better than grocery store bagels and fake coffee creamer. Location is a quiet area of Nashville with not much within walking distance - about a 12 min uber to lower broadway or a 22 min drive to the Parthenon for reference. Free parking was a plus! It was a fun place to stay once, but I am glad we only stayed 1 night.
- 5/5
It felt like home being there and everyone was so nice. I would stay there over and over again
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful bed and breakfast. Perfectly styled rooms and common areas. Incredibly comfortable beds. Top tier, kind, friendly staff. 10/10 recommend! Can’t wait to come back.
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing. 14/10. Staff we're incredible, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Very unique place to stay, with TONS of things do to within reasonable walking distance/$8 Uber ride
- 5/5
I had a lovely first visit to the Urban Cowboy Nashville property. It is in a cute neighborhood and adjacent to a fabulous restaurant, The Lockeland Table. I loved the decor in the hotel and the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Loved this characterful, unique, boutique hotel. It's friendly, warm, inviting, and located in a beautiful residential neighborhood, across the street from a delicious restaurant that's perfect for date night or a nice dinner with friends in a polished but casual setting.
- 3/5
The hotel is in a nice location and it was a nice stay. However for the price paid I would have expected certain basics such as drinking water to be included. The breakfast was also really not good. However the restaurant across the road had great food.
- 4/5
The hotel bar is open to the public; this negatively impacted my stay as I was not able to secure a table inside. As a result, I consumed my meal in the cold outside. Perhaps, table priority should be given towards hotel guests? Additionally, nearly everything in the room is fixated with a tiny price tag. For such a high price point, you'd think Urban Cowboy could provide majority room amenities free of charge (inclusive of hotel purchase price). Overall assessment: Good stay, not great. Well appointed design. Beware of room amenity costs. Have a great day!
- 5/5
Unique and quaint hotel that is awesome. Copper claw baths and each room has its own vibe and personality.
