Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its excellent location in midtown, close to public transportation and various attractions. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff. However, some guests have complained about the noise level and the lack of certain amenities.

The room was clean and modern, and it was actually made up every single day. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, too. Everyone working there was super friendly. I really want to give a massive shoutout to Jennifer at the front desk—she was so kind and even surprised us with a room upgrade when we arrived! They also let us check in early and check out late, which made our trip so much easier. Another cool perk was being able to just shoot a text to the front desk for whatever we needed. They even text you updates about what's happening around the property, which was super convenient. The complimentary wine hour every day was an awesome touch, and the restaurant and bar downstairs are genuinely good if you don't feel like leaving the hotel. Highly recommend this place for a trip to NYC!

Nice hotel and good location but there was a significant issue during my stay from May 7 through May 10. There was a confirmed overnight water shutoff from 9pm to 5am due to city construction directly affecting the hotel. No running water for eight hours overnight. This was a scheduled and known disruption yet the room was sold at full rate with no disclosure and no compensation offered. I have reached out to management requesting a partial refund reflecting the diminished experience and have not received a response. The hotel itself is well kept and the staff is friendly which is why this is not a one star review. But guests deserve to know what they are booking into and to be treated fairly when something like this happens. Still waiting on a resolution

Good location. Blah staff who don’t really want to be there other than the doormen who are amazing. Rooms are fine and clean enough

The prices at the bar were outrageous, $85 for a mediocre bottle of wine. The rooms very small. The hotel itself was clean and the front desk staff very pleasant.

Very close to the lady Gaga concert at MSG, not to far of a walk to Times Square and a lot of the stores Was charged double before getting the property, spoke to a lady there about it and she wasn’t the nicest. When we checked in the manager was great helped through the whole issue. Was charged again while we were there and it was classified as a glitch in their system. Overall a great stay but don’t know if I would stay at kimpton again

Our ,rooms were clean. Staff very friendly. Pet and parking not applicable. All check in staff were pleasant and helpful. A special thank-you to Celine at our check in . She followed through on the details and kindness to our needs. Above our expectations. Thank-you! The Kimpton properties are pleasant We also enjoyed the restaurants of the hotel. Same pleasantries and professionalism .They also accommodated visitors and patrons who were not Hotel Guest. Overall a most pleasant stay.

Overall, the service was good, but not great, this is not a true 5 star hotel experience. More like 4 stars. Guest servic / room service: poor experience Room equipment: they dont even provide a damn toilette brush, so couples, beware, your romantic experience might be a little shitty. Breakfast is poor .

The location, the restaurants, the kindness and efficiency of the staff. Nothing!

The hotel looked clean. My room was clean. Bed was comfortable. I found the vanity countertop a little small to set things on. There wasn’t any coffee in the lobby when I left in the morning. overall, this is a nice hotel. this is my second time staying there and I would book again.

I found the hotel to be exactly what we were looking for. Clean rooms with beautiful floor to ceiling windows. Overall great room, great location and very easy. Highly reccomend. Thank you to everyone who made our weekend so special.
- 4/5
clean, up to date, not the nicest part of NYC, and everything a little cramped.

- 5/5
Great hotel! Its perfect location, close to everything. Super clean.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, courteous staff, great location
- 3/5
Location was great! The carpets were a real letdown, resembling a 'rug-ged' landscape that cried out for a deep clean . Bathroom towels – small, subpar, and sporting a musty aroma that left much to be desired.
- 1/5
The hotel valet scratched my car window in the literal shape of the letter “V” ignored my complaints and claims for months on end just to tell me they are not responsible. Horrible service and a disappointing experience. They damaged my 2025 vehicle and couldn’t even take accountability!!! Ridiculous, please stay anywhere else!
- 5/5
Quiet and clean rooms!!

Convenient location, comfortable bed and clean room. There issues with water and the gym. Water were shut off for a couple of hours and gym closed for a couple of hours as well.

Excellent, staff, room, restaurant, bar, everything.
- 5/5
This hotel was a slam dunk for me! ? Its location was the MVP, and being close to everything, including MSG,where we caught a Knicks game, was a major win. And valet parking, clean and cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and hot showers. ? N/A

Super helpful staff (thanks Juan, Chris, Jennifer), rooms were well-designed, great location.
- 5/5
Room was spacious for NYC standards, great clean and safe location. Excellent service and love L'amico. Didn't have a coffee maker in my room and they brought one to me! Small but efficient gym. Will be back monthly for work trips

Can't recommend this hotel more. Had a fantastic stay in Kimpton. The room was so clean and specious, the bathroom spotless. The view from the room was great. All necessary things are available on request and were delivered to the room in a brisk manner. Definitely will be returning to Kimpton next time.

Needed to wait to check in on the day of arrival which was the only qualm about our stay having been travelling for 14hours travelling with my son. Room was clean, bathroom was a great size and overall a lovely stay. We went to the restaurant for breakfast one morning and it was lovely and relaxed. Within walking distance to many sites like Empire State, MSG, Times Square. Made our stay enjoyable and problem free.

This hotel was top notch! I always stay at a different hotel close by, however they didn’t have any availability. I’m so glad this was the case, as this is how my new favorite! Great location, clean, friendly staff, and high end! Five stars all day!
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly. The porter was very helpful . Room was clean and modern.
- 5/5
What a hotel! Would definitely book again when in NY. Central to everything! Staff were friendly room was wonderful!
- 5/5
The room was clean, updated, with beautiful NY views. Location is great to everything you might need (shopping, food, site seeing, etc). Service was great except that parking in the front to check in and out was terrible. If you aren't paying them to park in their garage, they rush you to move your vehicle even if you are staying there. I wouldnt recommend parkin there as there are cheaper parking garages nearby, that is if you want to save some money. Food at the hotel was great as well. Would definately recommend staying here and I myself will be back.
- 3/5
Room was nice bit bot as described or as advertised. Wouldn't stay here again
- 3/5
We asked for a room change but were told the hotel was fully booked, despite availability still showing online. The front desk offered a $75 food and beverage credit, but no one followed up with us during our stay, and the credit was not applied at checkout until I mentioned it. Hotel atmosphere was decent, but service and issue resolution were lacking.
- 5/5
Everything was great, the only thing was we asked for 2 rooms next to each other and got 2 rooms on 2 different floors. It was fine though. I loved the location, walkable to everything we needed and quiet enough that you didn’t get stomped on when you walked outside. Loved It, highly recommended.
- 4/5
The room was more spacious than the other hotels. My room was cleaned and polished. It came with robs, no slippers. However, the bathroom marbled tiles were elegant. Although I prefer showers, the shower /tub was welcoming. The tub was deep and comfortable. The room was simple but modern. There was a yoga mat which if you enjoy yoga and the minibar was stacked with mini alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages along with a few treats. The bed was firm and comfortable, the pillows standard. It also had a beautiful work desk with the appropriate electronic outlets, however it was missing the executive chair to make it a perfect workspace. As far as staff, the housekeeping staff were the nicest. The front desk, not so much. Even the doormen seemed stressed and looked as if they would rather be home. The restaurant menu items were unfavorable, only satisfying to a few patrons with less diversity for meal selection. The Back Bar was a nice getaway for some private time with love ones or friends. The server and bar personnel were lacking hospitality and personality. With all that, it’s a great place to see NYC via walking. The front desk and a luxurious experience for the price of the room.
- 3/5
I was in a king size room. One side of the bed was up against the window and no bedside table. A bit jaded. Could do with some air fresheners. Service in back bar was not very attentive and on occasions actually no service unless I went to the bar to order.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, great location and wonderful staff.
- 5/5
It was easy to check in. Free wine at 5p for an hour or so at check in desk. Reception was nice. Room and hotel was very nicely decorated. Definitely met the NY expectation. The premium king is slightly small in our opinion but shower was real good size. View was of back of buildings. I would say again. Close to train station (so min walk) and central to all different areas like Madison Square Garden.
- 5/5
Great location for a lot of activities and MSG
- 5/5
Beds are very comfortable, rooms are quiet and location is very convenient
- 5/5
The room was spacious & very comfortable. Bathroom had a great walk in shower (not ADA) & great bathroom counter room sink. Bed was very comfortable also. Location of hotel was perfect, close to subway stations, shops, restaurants & more. The restaurant connected to hotel was amazing. Had dinner there twice. Would stay here again, hands down. Lobby was great & staff, very friendly & helpful. Very nice hotel bar.
- 5/5
--- Great stay at the Kimpton! Stylish, clean rooms, comfortable bed, and a nice quiet atmosphere for Midtown. The staff were great! The location made it easy to walk to great restaurants and major sights. A perfect boutique feel in the heart of NYC.
- 1/5
We didn’t have housekeeping one day until we complained twice to the front desk. A total rip off.
- 5/5
The staff and location !
- 5/5
Great hotel. Beautiful
- 5/5
Staff was pleasant & helpful. The room was clean and roomy. Great location!
- 5/5
Hotel room large and well appointed. Staff lovely. Location excellent. Restaurant food fabulous. The water bottle at $10 was a stiff price and no free water. They used to be more doggy welcome, offering a dog bed, treats and water bowl. No longer. And they don’t tell you that dogs are not welcome in the restaurant. Which is weird at a dog friendly hotel.
- 4.5/5
Did not have rooftop
- 5/5
Great location
- 2/5
Location!!!!!! Is a 10 I encountered a rude receptionist who told me the hotel was fully booked when I asked for an extended stay. However, I discovered available rooms online. We had to book a new room in a different hotel, which was not ideal.
- 5/5
Nice staff, updates clean rooms with nice details.
- 5/5
The hotel staff were all super friendly and incredibly helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. The complimentary wine served in the lobby between 5pm and 6pm was a nice little extra. And we were allocated a room on the 18th floor with an unforgettable and iconic view of the Empire State Building. We certainly would not hesitate booking this hotel again for future visits to New York.
- 5/5
Staff is exceptional!
- 5/5
My stay was excellent. Room accommodations and service was perfect.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and nice ambiance at hotel.
- 5/5
View to northeast of Empire State Bldg was phenomenal.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing, Juan at the front desk was super friendly, nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Awesome staff! Great hotel!
- 5/5
Amzing hotel
- 5/5
Our room was at the 23rd floor with nice view of the Empire State Building. The room and bathroom had a good size in comparison to other hotel rooms in New York. The Bar and Restaurant in the lobby are nice, and the food was good. We definitely would stay at the Hotel again on our next trip to New York.
- 4.5/5
I highly recommend this hotel due to its prime location, within walking distance to MSG, and the added convenience of having a restaurant on site, which is a big plus in New York City. The drinks were delicious and the staff were great. I do want to mention the elephant in the room – or rather, across the street: the construction noise is a real buzzkill, especially for morning sleepers.
- 5/5
Friendly quick check in clean room. Fantastic value for money
- 5/5
Very clean! I have terrible allergies and carpet and bedding is a hit or miss for me. Everything was great!
- 2/5
To much noise in hotel
- 5/5
Staff very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The hotel did not have hot water, and we were not able to take showers which was not expected of a hotel at this price point.
- 1/5
Not a good hotel. Beware.
- 5/5
Great size room for midtown! Easy check in
- 4/5
Service is great but the rooms are starting to show their age.
- 4/5
The hotel was great! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The only thing I didn’t like is that the a/c in the room did not work, it was cool outside so it was ok, but if you travel in the summer it may be an issue. Hotel was clean, great vibes. Driver said area was sketchy, but we didn’t see any problems.
- 0.5/5
Imagine my surprise when 24 hours later, I was contacted by Booking.com to say that not only had the hotel denied my request to waive the cancellation fee, but also that I was now also obligated to pay for MY SECOND NIGHT BOOKING AS WELL. I tried immediately to cancel for the second night and was unable to. I understand the policies for Booking.com and for the hotel are intended to protect against damages to them due to late cancellations, but at most we are talking about 5 minutes between my recognizing my mistake and my attempting to cancel. The total penalty for 2 nights of NOT staying at Eventi is now a $1600+ expense, which seems completely disproportionate to the error and any harm that could have been caused. All of this is extremely disappointing, and assures me that I will never use Booking.com again, nor will I stay at a Kimpton hotel either.
- 5/5
Room and staff were excellent
- 2/5
Room was very noisy due to interconnected. did not sleep. I was reassessing your hotel in view of moving our company back up to NYC. Tood bad
- 5/5
The staff were exceptional - tons of help, positive and welcoming, had great recommendations and were able to help me print something I needed for a business meeting the next day. The room was gorgeous - clean and well stocked with an incredible view. I forgot a couple of things and they had them delivered to the room. The bar and the restaurant were incredible as was the welcome wine! I would recommend the hotel to anyone and I would definitely go back again.
- 4/5
Great location but big construction across the street so don’t expect to sleep late.
- 5/5
A really good, convenient location for visiting NYC with nice bar area for drinks in the evening. We liked the complimentary morning coffee.
- 5/5
very clean room and very amenable staff
- 5/5
Great view. Central location. Helpful staff
- 4/5
We had a few hiccups with the room and room service, but overall the staff was really friendly and the hotel was in a good location. Rooms were rather small (shotgun style) and it can be noisy if you’re not on the very top floor. Overall, I felt like I’ve stayed in nicer Kimpton with better amenities. Shout out to Fernando!!
- 5/5
Juan and Emily were amazing! They made our stay that much more special. My son says thank you!!

I have stayed at the Kimpton several times but this time, there was a conference going on and it made the stay quite disruptive. The lobby was busy with attendees from the conference. There was a long for the elevators. I probably won’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful room, huge bathroom, lovely city view of Empire State Building! Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Close enough to tourist spots but not too close. Reasonable size room for 4ppl for Midtown manhattan. Clean, friendly reception staff but bell desk less friendly
- 3/5
Some items in the room were worn.
- 5/5
Great stay, friendly staff, beautiful hotel.
- 3/5
Bed was way too soft and caving in in the middle and the blanket they provided was cheap and light. air conditioner was very loud when it clicked on and off, so we had a horrible sleep. No room service available. We checked in at 3pm when checkin is and our room wasn’t ready. Front desk was nice to provide us with a dining credit but we didn’t use it. Good location if you want to be in the centre and close to midtown but it’s also chaotic so depending on what you’re looking for.
- 4/5
We had a wonderful experience at this property is definitely beautiful and in a great location.
- 5/5
The staff was so very helpful and friendly. Will book again. Good job seriously to all the staff. Excellent service
- 5/5
Great location and views from upper floors
- 4/5
The hotel should have a buffet breakfast. The restaurant closes too early (10pm)
- 5/5
Our experience was definitely 5 star! After reading some of the reviews we prepared ourselves for being disappointed by the front desk, cleanliness of the room, and the overall vibe of the hotel. From the moment we arrived to check out we were met with phenomenal customer service! The front desk staff was always helpful, the doormen always friendly. Our room was terrific! It was very clean and provided a wonderful city view. L’Amico, the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was wonderful! When we go back to NYC we will be staying at the Klimpton Eventi
- 5/5
Great experience. Staff was wonderful. The rooms were clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Fantastic experience would stay there again
- 5/5
Wonderful service from the doormen to the front desk to housekeeping. Spacious comfortable room, will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Staff always take great care of me every time I go I feel like I’m at home away from home
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, beautiful room, and lovely Italian restaurant downstairs. Will come again!
- 5/5
Great location, reasonable price, good amenities (could use a better work out room and equipment). Highly recommended.
- 4/5
Awesome stay at the heart of the city. Only wished we could stay longer.
- 5/5
Loved the staff! Chris was a gift and made New York feel like home. Everyone was really kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Really loved our suite, thee most pleasant hotel staff and great location!
- 5/5
The hotel had a great vibe, staff was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable.
- 5/5
Great service and safe. Rooms were clean.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Love this hotel. Walkable to unlimited options of food, shopping, subways, etc
- 5/5
Bed a little too soft, but that’s a judgement call and doesn’t affect rating. Nice hotel, great location. Only complaint is add-on daily amenity fee added a significant amount to the bill and pushed it a lot higher than the hotels.com quote.
- 5/5
Great time
- 5/5
Great hotel a few blocks away from Macys and metro lines. We had a suite which was a very nice size for a family of 4 (including 2 elementary school kids). Would highly recommend and stay here again!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Love staying here when I am doing things in midtown. Easy access to most places. Clean room and friendly staff. Thank you!
- 5/5
I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Juan at the front desk. He truly went above and beyond during our stay. He was so friendly, welcoming, and personal right from the start. He surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a suite, and it honestly made our whole trip. It’s rare to come across someone who makes you feel genuinely cared for, but Juan did exactly that. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
- 5/5
We had a good stay!
- 5/5
Photos didn’t do this place justice. Lobby had a very cool vibe. Rooms were spacious and clean. Despite a major check-in hiccup (our rooms were given away somehow, booking error between hotel and hotels.com, took over an hour to work things out), our stay was, overall, great. Every staff member was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Well located, good quality hotel with friendly staff. Two kids and two adults in the room, plenty of space to make it work. Lots of eating options around, and a good
- 5/5
Incredible staff very professional and helpful.
- 5/5
This was the absolute BEST hotel we have stayed at in NYC. We are from Toronto, Canada and have been to NYC 12 times, and this hotel was by far the best one yet. The attention to detail is beyond commendable. The rooms are so spacious and there is a big mini fridge, huge bathroom, and comfortable bedding. In the bathroom, there is a list of things that you can order through guest services (free of charge), which really added to our stay. Curling irons, humidifier, tweezers, lip balm, shaving cream, you know it! Shout out to Jillian from guest services; always so prompt and cheerful. Thank you, Kimpton Hotel Eventi for making our trip.
- 5/5
Great location. No room service and although we managed, not a fan of looking dirty to go down to grab coffee. They have it, but don’t allow staff to deliver. Need to change that with what the rooms cost.
- 5/5
Would definitely stay here again if I go back to NYC soon!!
- 5/5
We had such an amazing stay at the Kim
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel with complimentary wine tasting each evening and coffee in the morning and comfortable rooms. Bar and onsite restaurants great and convenient. Lovely veranda at bar and 5 floors up. Friendly, helpful staff and couldn’t ask for a more central location - great walking or subway access to everything! When we are back in NYC, we will definitely be staying here!
- 3/5
Room was nice enough, but walls very thin not sound proofed so could hear people in other rooms and hallways. Not a bad location, and guest services OK but could have been a bit better at providing more details about available services. For e.g. parked my car with valet and wasn’t advised that the following day the valet would be unavailable due to street closure so needed to walk to garage. Would stay here again if necessary.
- 4/5
Great AC room view
- 4/5
No coffee maker in room. Small thing, but for a supposedly good hotel a disappointment.
- 5/5
but overall its really nice .
- 5/5
Covenient , clean and welcoming
- 5/5
Courteous staff, readily available and friendly. Overall a great property and convenient location, close to Penn Station / MSG.
- 5/5
Super chic, modern and clean hotel with great amenities and a location convenient to many midtown locations (and right near a few subway lines). Rooms feel particularly spacious—at least by NYC standards, and are beautifully designed. Service was great, as well.
- 5/5
Great stay! Good location, very modern and posh rooms, and great hotel. Will come again
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Great location, fun place and best Pizza ever!
- 5/5
Property is in a prime central location and close to public transportation. Staff was incredible!
- 5/5
Great location, super service!
- 5/5
Beautiful, comfortable, and spacious rooms. Staff was the best! Extremely friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Everything was amazing here, would highly recommend if you are staying in NY!
- 5/5
Cons: no refrigerator, no vent in the bathroom which caused a lot of moisture and the room seemed small. Pros: beautiful decor and convenient for a quick weekend stay.
- 4/5
Decent hotel in a good position, not outstanding but it served the purpose
- 5/5
It was really great. Especially the service. Disappointed you do not recycle plastic or glass water bottles. Disappointed tv remote was very difficult to work even after engineering was called and I was given a new remote. Everything else was perfect!
- 5/5

Staying at the Kimpton Hotel Eventi was a great experience. Our room was very modern and clean with a great view. Most things that a person visiting Manhattan would want to see are conveniently in walking distance to the hotel. There are three great dining options at the hotel that give you options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Staff were positive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed at the Kimpton Eventi Hotel during a recent work trip to New York and it was a fantastic base. The location is incredibly convenient—right by Penn Station and within walking distance of Midtown, the High Line, and plenty of restaurants and meeting spots. It made getting around the city for meetings really easy. We had a double room, which was clean, spacious, and very comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a full day. The staff were super helpful throughout our stay—friendly, efficient, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Also worth mentioning: the café downstairs serves excellent coffee, which was a big plus for early mornings, even if it is on the pricier side. Overall, a stylish, well-run hotel in a prime location—highly recommend for business travel.

Had a fantastic stay! Love L’Amico… Jade and Dakota took great care of us several of the nights!

City view room had an amazing view of Empire State Building. Chris at front door was friendly and helped with luggage and car. Location is just far enough from Times Square that its quiet at night and still walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Room was clean and well kept, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Nice choice of restaurants at the hotel and great location.

Great hotel with friendly staff, comfortable, clean and spacious room with all amenities, fast elevators, modern design, really great bar on-site (and restaurants, although I haven't tried that). Location is slightly off-location from most major attractions (herald square, Times Square, soho, etc) but it's right near the subway.

Gets much quieter with lots of great local shops just walking a few blocks south to Chelsea.

Place was great, though second night we had some serious disturbing noise.

The hotel put us in one of those connecting rooms with a door in the middle, and it was so bad! I could hear everything in the other room, TV noise and people talking, everything. We stayed for two nights and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.

Used them for a long time - never again! Sorry you just lost one customer.

Beautiful hotel -- accommodations, design/decor, food/beverage and staff are all lovely, and I will stay here again! Here's what would make me give it a 5 instead of a 4: where the "desk" is, there's no room for a chair, making the desk nonfunctional; replace the desk w/ a chest of drawers, which will make unpacking so much easier. Second, put a coffeemaker in the rooms. Third, deliver room service to the rooms -- it's inconvenient to have to come down to the restaurant and order your food and then wait or come back to retrieve your food. These accommodations would improve the guest experience, but again, the hotel truly is wonderful -- it could just be sublime!

Very kind and helpful staff!

We had a great time staying at the Eventi for a long December weekend. Staff were extremely polite and helpful! Only “mild” complaint was there were times when the smell of the Skirt Steak grill next door permeated the lobby. All in all, a fantastic trip and a great place to stay.

Well located hotel near Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. Modern clean rooms, easy check in. Rooms are a bit small in NYC tradition. There are multiple restaurants on site, nice bar. Attached event space is also quite attractive.
