Horrible experience, the hotel happened to be closed for business after I made my reservation 1 month before my trip. I had to rebook another hotel ASAP after arriving at LGA Airport at 11:00pm. Worst experience ever.

The only thing was during check in. I was the first waiting and instead of calling people to check in by order. They let me sit there while everyone passed me to check in. I had to get up and say what about me. But overall stay was great. Thanks

No drawers in room, no chair - only a stool. To watch tv, read, or use laptop/tablet, you need to sit on bed. Free breakfast was terrible - no hot food, and everything prepackaged. Staff was minimal and not attentive to guests. Would never stay again.

- 4/5
Convenient location - two short blocks to metro Clean, comfortable room, everything worked Many breakfast selections (none hot) served in a quiet, spacious room Some noise from the nearby subway trains Few restaurants nearby
- 3/5
Only had hot water the first night, and after that, only cold water. They don't really offer breakfast, don't go based on that. If you are new in New York, don't expect the staff to guide you or help you, they are simply rude. Also, no REFRIGERATOR. If you hope to bring some water and keep it cold, you'll be out of luck.
- 4/5
Good location, great staff, very clean. The price, but that's much more a NYC problem than something this hotel is doing.
- 4/5
The front desk staff are very, very nice and helpful. Late night check in was no problem. Luggage storage is at the desk so it's all visible. The desk is essentially always manned. My things were handled well and were safe. There's a couch and a chair in the lobby. Tea, hot chocolate, and water are freely available downstairs. This area is quite large with a lot of seating. The space was great for me when I needed to do a little bit of work after I checked out. There's hardly anyone there except for housekeeping staff, who put bags of laundry to just sit out there. Amenities were scant (Paul Mitchell), but when I asked for things, they were readily available. I went to ask the housekeeper next door for something not in my room and she immediately left to get it for me. Unfortunately, she also came right in just after she knocked. Most rooms don't have a fridge, mine did with a very small freezer. There were lots of decent quality towels, but no towel rack. The shower was nice with a glass door, good water pressure and a sort of rainfall shower. There were no adjustments on the shower head but it was movable. The latest check out is at noon with an automatic charge at 12:30 PM.
- 3/5
cleanliness Design flaws: bathroom didn’t have a place to hang towel and put the soap, body wash; the cupboard was hard to open coz of poor handle; also, no toothpastes
- 4/5
The building was quite new. Nice furniture, a comfortable bed, modern bathroom with a big shower (no problem with hot water!). our room was spacious and had a filter-coffee machine, too. There was coffee and tea for breakfast with some sweets, yoghurt and juice. it was possible to bring some food from outside, e.g. buy some bread, cheese or fruit and consume them there. There was also a microwave available in the breakfast area. You could buy your dinner in a supermarket and eat it there. The staff was very friendly! We wanted to have a higher temperature in our room and the thermostat was fixed next day. … and it is a short walking distance to 3 subway stations, where you board a train bringing you in several minutes to Manhattan :-) There were no restaurants in the close surrounding and streets looked scary in the evening. There were mostly storage buildings near the hotel, not many tourists passing by… We were nevertheless not witnessing any accident, nobody bothered us… We were never returning late night. The sound isolation of windows and walls is not according to European standards: you will hear subways passing by, noise from the street or your neighbors if you are unlucky. We slept well. we were tired after whole day sightseeing and the train noise made us asleep. The elevator gives also some annoying loud sound when passing each floor :-(

Front desk staff person at was not helpful regarding parking. We found a public parking lot across the street - informed him. The neighborhood is barren of services, eg, coffee shops, restaurants. Unfortunately Long Island City is not an attractive area.

Says including breakfast, but it’s misleading because it’s refreshments

I liked cleaning and i don’t like breakfest

It was okay but No hot water ag all, not even lukewarm, no amenities like a gym, no late checkout option.

For NYC this was pretty good. Shower takes a long time to heat up but does eventually get there. The bed and main room was clean but the bathroom had a few issues - there was a Kleenex box with what looked like dirty tissue stuffed in it, and the vent was partially falling out of the ceiling. The hotel was quiet, the staff were polite. We did not try the breakfast. We had to check out early at 5am and there was no one at the desk - ultimately I just had to leave the keys there because no one came even though the front door was open (so anyone could just walk in).
- 1/5
Was moved to 3 different rooms due to mosquito infestation. The room I ended up getting had mold and living moving bugs around the toilet. I have stayed here a few times this year and never had a cleanliness issue, but this night was atrocious. Not sure if I will ever stay here again.
- 3/5
Area around hotel was dirty & noisy. There is no place to purchase snacks or drinks.
- 5/5
Great new building, clean premises, friendly staff, convenient lobby and basement 24-7 open lounge, the best location in New York city, 2 blocks from the N and W train.
- 4/5
Bad: muffins, coffee, OJ, and yogurt is not breakfast, appreciated but let's be honest. No ironing board and iron in room. Somebody was smoking Marijuana on my floor. Very dirty TV remote. I will stay again.
- 2/5
Service was bad, they mentioned that breakfast is included but breakfast is muffin orange juice and yogurt thats everything they have for breakfast
- 3/5
No parking. Surrounding area undesirable.
- 3/5
Cons: Continental breakfast is just yogurt cups and granola bars, car horns honking all night long, nothing near by.
- 3/5
Overall, the stay was ok if you’re looking for the least expensive hotel in the NYC area. It’s not far to get to the city from LIC. The area around the hotel was terrible. Unclean and not the safest. There were no amenities, nor was there even a mini fridge in the room.
- 4/5
Stayed over the weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful, not rude like other guest have stated. Didn't attempt breakfast because you're in NY you should be getting food in the city. Room is smaller than most hotels but plenty of room to lay your head. Close to the trains and bus stops to get to the city. Not as loud as other guests have stated, but maybe I'm a heavy sleeper. They do have a deposit, but I received it back before the 3-5 days they stated. Overall good stay.
- 5/5
It was a great stay, from check in to check out! Clean and comfortable. Very close to transportation.
- 3/5
The room is clean but too much noises from outside as well as from the hall way and next rooms.
- 5/5
Great quality for their price! Everything was nice: convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, light breakfast! We enjoyed it! Thank you!!!
- 4/5
The Microtel Inn is a newer chain of Wyndham budget hotels with all new rooms and fixtures and furniture, so it was pretty clean. However, there were bedbugs in the bed (and my girlfriend got bitten often), and the tub had no drain plug, so you couldn't take a bath. You get what you pay for: the "breakfast" is just packaged muffins and other packaged food; the location is far out in Long Island City, so it's cheaper, but it is not near many restaurants or grocery stores or other conveniences for a longer stay; there is no fridge or microwave in the tiny room; and the service on the N and W lines into Manhattan can be unpredictable, and required a long ride to 34th Street, then a long trek to connect to our B train uptown. I'm glad I didn't spend more per. night, but I'll be trying to do better on my next trip to New York.
- 2/5
Property is not in good condition. Beds, towels, jammed doors, etc. this has been our worst experience ever at a Wyndham property.
- 3/5
Misleading “breakfast”
- 5/5
My stay at the hotel was amazing! I like how it’s a blockage in the window for visitors safety. Also, I was given fresh washcloths everyday.
- 5/5
Excellent location to head in to Manhatten as well as lots of great local bars and restaurants with a 10 min walk
- 4/5
they did not provide refrigerator and I do not like the breakfast.
- 4/5
Conveniently located near subway stations and 20 minutes away from Manhattan on the subway.
- 5/5
The continental breakfast was good just to start the day and go for more in the area. No Gym at the hotel, I will suggest to get few machines for the C level. Overall was perfect for my purpose
- 3/5
2. All aspects of the hotel were clean 3. My first room had a strong mildew smell. I asked to change, and was put i the floor directly below. Still had a mildew smell, not as bad as the other room. By this time, I decided to go with what I had as I wouldn't be in the room that much except to sleep and shower. But I definitely smelled it every time I entered the room. 4. Room was freezing the entire time, even with the thermostat on 69-72F. 5. The breakfast was a takeaway breakfast, nothing to write home about; many visitors seemed to bring their won and use the microwave. 6. Good location, 2 blocks from subway, 20 min. in either direction to numerous restaurants and bars. However note that it's not in a residential area, though there is an apartment building and another hotel next door.
- 4/5
It's a good hotel, staff friendly and helpful. The only downside is the street, let's say it's not the best in LIC. Otherwise all good, close to multiple subway lines, easy to reach Manhattan and also Queens.
- 4/5
Nice clean room. Hotel located in a rough area (it did not affect our overall experience).
- 5/5
Perfect, no complain the hotel and the rooms super clean staff are super nice.
- 5/5
I stayed for one night for a wedding and the location was perfect for me , not enough sound proof there’s a train close by so you can hear when it runs.
- 4/5
Staff were extremely helpful. Did not like $100 deposit.
- 5/5
Excellent air conditioning on floor 3. Really clean and updated room. Not too noisy despite the fact that this city is generally kinda noisy. My new go-to in LIC.
- 2/5
The continental breakfast is really lunch snacks. How awful. What would it take for sone cereal, milk, hard boiled eggs and a loaf of bread? I will not recommend this hotel because of the breakfast.
- 4/5
Breakfast was mis-represented as a full continental - was a "Grab-Go" muffin and yogurt only. Staff were pleasant - not very knowledgeable of area
- 5/5
Staff was great!
- 5/5
Room and staffing was very good really need a packing facility
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, basic room in a good location not far from Manhattan and subway stops. I had a leaky drain under the bathroom sink, but it was fixed promptly. It’s no frills but it gets the job done!
- 5/5
The nightstand could have used another wipe but I'm picky. The immediate area outside the hotel is a bit dirty but there are nice eateries and safer feeling streets 3-4 blocks away.
- 4/5
The men at the front desk were nice. The lady at the front desk though had an attitude. The view of the room was okay. The cleaning lady did a great job cleaning the room. One thing that sucked was it would take 20 min for shower water to get hot.
- 1/5
BUGS in my BED! Found around 2am on the second night of our 3 night stay. I was only refunded for one night even though we had to leave in the middle of the night of our stay on day 2 and find a new hotel room. I am very disappointed and the staff only gave me a partial refund for the 3rd night. Beyond disappointed. Stay away from this hotel!
- 5/5
Great Hotel for those on a budget and an alternative to staying in Manhattan. There are several subway stations within blocks and exploring Long Island City and Astoria in Queens is highly suggested! Very convenient if you're flying into LaGuardia!
- 3/5
Nice hotel except for no refrigerator, lousy breakfast, and city noise. Staff was not super friendly.
- 3/5
They helped
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful! Had no hot water the first night, called the front desk, and the night manager restarted the boiler and we got hot water!
- 4/5
I like the fact that it was a smoke free hotel. I didn't like that it says breakfast included and its not just coffee/water/juice and granola bars or muffin or a yogurt. Asked about it and they mentioned that they have to reorder food supplies and i was there for 10days. Wasn't the happiest.
- 4/5
CONVINIENT TO WHERE I NEEDED TO BE
- 4/5
Clean and new but not enough towels or mini shower supplies. Almost everything is upon request which is totally fine as long as you’re ready for it. No iron in the room, it’s upon request as well. Plenty of parking!
- 4/5
Close to Manhattan. Clean and comfortable
- 5/5
I liked the location for walking and feeling safe.
- 4/5
The room is small but it’s okay for a quick stay. Close to metro stations, was safe to walk to the hotel at night. The fridge is right next to your bed and it didn’t fit into the corner—weird.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. The staff was very cordial n friendly
- 5/5
Great Hotel. Clean and comfortable. Great value for LIC.
- 2/5
I got single bite on my arm while there. It could have been from the outside, but I doubt it
- 5/5
It was a great stay. The hotel just need smoking rooms or a smoking sections or something.
- 5/5
It’s good and clean
- 5/5
Friendly front desk. Was bummed at first when I got in the room and saw no ironing board, but a call to the front desk and one was delivered in less than five minutes to my door. Clean room and comfy bed was nice to get a good night's sleep after walking around the city all day.
- 4/5
Location is a huge plus. Very close two different main subway lines that take you to Manhattan in 20 mins. The rooms were compact and good enough for tourists. The only downside for us was not having a small fridge in the rooms.
- 5/5
I liked the small, cozy room and large windows. This place is low-key and exactly what I want in a hotel. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
- 2/5
No amenities at all. Over priced and congested rooms. Service people are not friendly nature.
- 4/5
Great location the breakfast is just snacks so that’s the only thing that was not great.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. The area around the hotel isn’t great with a lot of the buildings being shop work buildings. My neighbors were terribly loud my entire stay, and the front desk did very little to address that. It took about 10 minutes for the shower water to get hot. Overall, good hotel for the cost but not the absolute best.
- 4/5
Very friendly people
- 4/5
Staff was great! Check out is at 11 but they will tag and hold your bags for you for the day. That was great!!!! Room was clean. The area is up and coming. I felt safe though.
- 2/5
Very disappointed with Expedia on this one. This place is 2 stars at best. The website says jfk is the closest which is completely false. I had to pay so much more for an Uber and sit in ridiculous traffic. The hotel itself is nothing special. There’s no convenience stores near by. The room was not as clean as one would expect. The coffee machine was dirty. There were hairs in the shower. There are also a lot of hyper aggressive homeless people all around the property.
- 4/5
When I booked this reservation, I understood the limitations involved with this type of property. But I was still disappointed with the lack of attentiveness when it came to asking for extras like pillows and towels. They would not provide extra pillows or towels. With that being said the staff at the front desk were very courteous and friendly. The room and bathroom was very clean and the in room air conditioner/heater work just fine. Nice and quiet. However the rooms are pretty small and the walls are pretty much paperthin. You could hear everything going on in the hallway and even the room next-door. Luckily I had a corner unit. The property does tell you from the beginning that there is no breakfast, just a grab and go like a muffin or a piece of fruit and small carton of orange juice. Not too sure if I would stay here again when I visit New York, but it was a nice safe place and it has easy access to the nearby train station.
- 5/5
Was amazing, no complaints
- 2/5
No water pressure, very little lukewarm water, which never got hot.
- 4/5
Breakfast is very basic in a small corner in the hotel lobby. It's rather snacks that you take up to your room. Can be better and more varried.
- 4/5
Great staff, but parking is very limited. The "breakfast " is not really breakfast, is just some muffing and yogurt.
- 5/5
OK, good value, good location.
- 5/5
Nice and clean, very friendly, very cozy…great place to stay the night…
- 4/5
just took a little while for hot water to get to 4th Floor! Good price & would def stay again
- 2/5
They told breakfast but it was not breakfast only tea and cake . -Drinking Water I got only two days out of three days . Bathroom so pathetic, it took few hours to clean water from the bathtub, which I noticed but no action during my stay. This is not standard as a New York City Hotel. However request them to change all issues to ensure good customer experience.
- 5/5
Great places !!! Great staff!!
- 4/5
The amenities are good enough. It has a safe, hair dryer, tv and clothing racks. Note that it is a micro inn! The breakfast is a cold breakfast which is currently muffins, packed fruit, fruit yogurt, chewy bars, coffee and tea. The train that take you to manhattan create noise 24/7 and you can hear it. So if you are very sensitive to noise this is not the place for you. 2 Public parkings are available within 1 minute of hotel. Street parking at night is also an option.
- 5/5
I had to keep in mind that this was a micro hotel an would not have the same features as other hotels I have visited in the past. But to be honest my stay was quite wonderful. It was very clean and neat, the room with the king size bed has just enough room for two people and I enjoyed the walk in glass shower. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the options for the free breakfast.
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
The hotel itself is excellent! Location is great for getting subways (3 different lines to choose from) into Manhattan and other parts of Queens. That said, it's on a desolate street, and even tho I'm a seasoned native, it was a bit scary at night-- only because it's not in an area where there are any people walking about. That said, I would still stay again due to the hotel itself and the value, considering how close it is to NYC.
- 5/5
It was a nice modern hotel and the room was small but perfect
- 3/5
During our stay two days in a row we didn´t have cleaning in our room, even though we informed the front desk
- 5/5
It was great.
- 1/5
I would not recommend staying here. For starters when I came to check in after a long flight around 7:30 pm I had to wait over 45minutes for someone to come to the check in desk and check me in. Additionally, on checking out I realised that an item from my suitcase which I did not use during my stay (my beats headphones) was missing! After immediately reporting this the manager took over a week to get back to me saying he checked the footage and there was no sign of theft!! RIDICULOUS DO NOT STAY HERE.
- 3/5

- 4/5
Close to the subway stations; nice neighborhood; easy to get to stores or restaurants in Queens. If you like to walk, easy to wat to Manhattan over bridges.
- 5/5
It's OK
- 4/5
The hotel is great. It's right next to a train that you can take into Manhattan if you're hungry. You can also order in, which I did. The one thing that irked me is that it's in a very noisy area; you can hear freight trucks passing every single night and it really stops you from sleeping well. I wish I brought ear plugs. Other than that, excellent.
- 2/5
Not able to control the temperature of the room. The employees at the front desk don’t answer the phone. 15 min before checkout the cleaning lady said we have to leave the room. It’s a mess
- 5/5
The neighborhood is not so great
- 2/5
Our room floor smelled of marijuana our entire stay. Staff was good , room was clean but house keeping banging on our door at 8:30 am wasn’t pleasant.
- 3/5
The first day/ the room was not cleaned. The second day after we asked for it to be cleaned- it still was not vacuumed nor the beds made not the coffee maker emptied and washed but they did change the towels. On the third day and everyday after it was cleaned and the towels changed.
- 4/5
Hotel is okay, fairly new (Dec 2021) and clean. Parking on street seemed easy. It said breakfast included, but it was not real breakfast, just muffins and cereal bars and juice, all too much sugar.
- 3/5
very basic all around.
- 4/5
Clean, modern, close to everything. The breakfast ...juice, granola bars, yogurt ,coffee and water, that it. Lousy area(trains)very close to the train station (good)

Very good

Very clean room and nice space
