we rented a hotel for 5 people, the room was not ready for 5, only for 4. there were not enough towels and bedding, we called to bring us more. in general it was clean

This is a hotel we’ve stayed at several times. It is very convenient to train lines and close to restaurants and Cental Park. The kitchen is great if you want to do breakfast in the room and a grocery store is about a block away. Room is large too.

Overall great location. Great room size especially for a family of 5. Quiet hotel area which was great. Staff were friendly. My only negative is that our room was completely missed for cleaning one day (not sure what happened as we didn't have any do not disturb sign up). Overall would stay here again. Easy access to subway and there are several restaurants nearby along with some great coffee options down the street.

Nice. Clean. Not too expensive. Small kitchen was nice - we used the large refrigerator. Large unit for price paid. Last 2 strips, we stayed at Lowe’s regency on park avenue.. this was much nicer and more spacious for better price. Location was excellent.

On the downside. No A/C!! We got told by staff that their system is in heat mode and they cannot change it. Yet A/C was full blast in the hallways. We had a full sun facing room. They told us to sleep with windows open, a total joke for a city like New York that’s active all day and night. Very small bathroom, you can only be one at a time even though the rooms can have 5 people. The wallpaper was stained, couches were stained, telephone was dirty, sink was clogged.

We were given two old fans, one extremely loud, and told to open the windows. Being on the ground floor, we did not feel safe doing that. At this price point, this is completely unacceptable. We immediately packed up and checked out. We were told we would not be charged, which we expect to be honored. Had we known about the AC situation, we would never have booked. Management will likely respond with a standard apology, but this issue has been mentioned in other reviews and appears unresolved. That makes the lack of transparency even more frustrating.

Front desk staff was not very helpful.

We were delighted to find our room facing the garden was very quiet and spacious for our family of 5. Sofa bed was not the most comfortable but otherwise the room was perfect for our needs. The staff were very friendly and parking was super convenient and fair priced. We will stay again!

Very nice facility for a girls’ trip. Convenient location to Central Park in the more residential part of Manhattan. Restaurants close by for convenience. Would definitely stay there again.

All I did was sleep there as I had procedure scheduled for the next day at Sloan Kettering.

I have stayed here twice and each time the room has been clean and the staff welcoming and ready to help.

The bed was a bit too firm for my taste but my husband loved it. Everything was bright and clean and the staff were very friendly. It’s very close to the F,M,Q and 6 subway lines. Would definitely recommend this place for our visitors.

Nice, big room. Good location. Everything we needed for our stay. Just needed better communication from the staff on when the room was ready. Kept us waiting after everyone else got their rooms, even though we were standing right across from the desk. Had to ask to get into the room 30 minutes after regular check in time. No apology for the extra wait.

We have stayed there twice now (10/24 and 12/25) and have been delighted both times. Rooms are very large and well appointed, everything is spotless and the staff has been very pleasant. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit already!

Our stay was nice. Most of the staff was great, especially the third shift night staff. Close to many things. We stayed the week of Thanksgiving. It is located about a mile away from the Parade route. Rooms were spacious. Housekeeping was amazing and on top of it every day. It was always nice to come back to our room fully stocked with toiletries, plenty of towels for our family of 5, and the beds made. The only downside is if you stay facing the road you will hear everything. Cars riding by, people screaming, cars honking all night. So bring earplugs just in case. Otherwise this place as great.

Great staff Directly across the street from MEETH My husband had a procedure there and we stayed here due to its close proximity to hospital. He had a follow up at 9:30 the next day. We literally rolled out of bed and walked across the street for the appointment. Room was amazing. The terrace was to gorgeous Definitely worth it.

Rooms are big for NYC standards and it’s in a very nice area. They provide a stove but not kitchen ware. Overall a good stay and we will stay there again. Be aware the is construction across the street and it gets noisy.

I know I won’t stay here again. This hotel is recommended for a lot of post surgery stays. It is very outdated and it is very noisy. The AC does not work individually per room. The hotel will set it all on AC or heat and that is the only adjustment that you can make in your room. I was on the fifth floor and it was warm and I still wasn’t able to turn the AC on. Also, there was an issue of cockroach being in my room. You would not think there should be cockroaches on the fifth floor of a hotel building. I think people should look at more recent reviews of the hotel. Some people say it’s great but others that have some concerns are the exact concerns that I just experienced. I wish I had read more on the reviews rather than going from recommendations of offices nearby.

I was not there much because I was with my husband at M SK. It was within walking distance to the hospital and I felt safe in the neighborhood and in my room. It was also clean and comfortable and a short distance to restaurants and pharmacies.

Close to so many things. We were here for a week post op so we spent a lot of time in the room. It was nice. Bed was comfortable. Wish the TVs were smart TVs though. Couldn’t use anything other than just cable. For those not planning to be in the room a lot, very small detail that wouldn’t make me book elsewhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location

One of the only hotels in NYC where you can comfortably fit 2 adults and 3 kids without spending thousands. Their one bedroom apt/suite includes a full kitchen, dining area, living room area with pull out couch, closet space, plus a bedroom with 2 double beds. Room was a tiny bit tired but service was good and location near Central Park was also a win.

We were a little disappointed after staying at two others formerly Affinia (Sonesta) Hotels in NYC previously. Older but uptown and in a quiet area. Hospitality was lacking in comparison to other hotels

There was no reason for somebody to knock on our door at 10 o’clock in the morning to clean the room when we were checking out at 11 o’clock in the morning. They should have known the room would be empty in an hour and not bothered us.

Very Accommodating with a roll away bed for a 1 night guest. Housekeeping was amazing. Two late night and an extremely early fire alarms was annoying. Lack of communication for first alarm was scary. Reasonably priced for NYC. Bonus with kitchen.

The gardens Sonesta had a space that accommodated us with plenty of space which is hard to find in Manhattan. It was also clean with very helpful staff. Will definitely bring my family back.

Fantastic people room was big for my family of five had full refrigerator and other kitchen needs. It was off the main busy touristy streets but close enough to walk to them or quick cab ride around anytime even at night. Best part was staff was extremely helpful and nice more than happy to help!!!

Some sort of breakfast would have been nice, but none is offered. Our tub did not drain well, and you'd end up standing in water up to your ankles when you showered. Our room was spacious and clean. Just the above few thing should be tweaked to improve the overall experience.

Surprise efficiency suites in the middle of the hustle and bustle of NYC. A quick getaway escape near all. Quiet comfort and beautiful atmosphere. Great for solo, business, family vacations to the City or just meeting friends.

Hotel was excellent and walking distance to MSKCC. One of the few hotels in the area.

The hotel offered a fantastic central location for our family trip. We were able to access the subway easily and were always greeted with a smile. It is a little noisy as it is in the center of Manhattan.

I liked the quiet, peaceful neighborhood

There was no bell man or door man when I arrived. I had 4 pieces of luggage that I had to take to the 10th floor by myself. The key card did not work when I arrived at my room and I chose to call the front desk from my cell but I was put on hold for a long time and couldn't get through.

My only complaint was the bathroom was really small/tight and the room overall could use a remodel/some upgrades. We had an AMAZING time on our trip to NYC for wedding dress shopping. This hotel was INCREDIBLE.

It was a great stay. The place had everything I needed in the room. The bed was also one of the most comfortable hotel beds I think I've ever slept on.

Carpet was a little worn/faded in areas - but the room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the location - safe/very walkable to the Subway, Central Park, Fifth Ave, Whole Foods, etc. We purchased 7 day unlimited Metro cards and were within 20 to 30 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go.

Check in was a debacle despite it being after 4pm. We had to wait until 9.45pm for one of our beds to be made up despite being booked months in advance. Took a substantial $400 USD security payment (twice) which is yet to be returned and it’s been over a week since we checked out???Front desk staff were variable- some friendly and helpful others rude and incompetent. Felt sorry for the housekeeper (there was only one scheduled the whole hotel) she was working hard but there was too much for her to handle. Clearly profits to the financier owners were more important than servicing guests and supporting staff to deliver. It’s a nice location but badly managed. The kitchen was very poorly equipped- you couldn’t really cook anything much with the limited tools provided.

Perfect stay for a group of 6 females, ages 14 through 70! Knowing it would already be pricey in NYC the week between Christmas & New year, this accommodated all 6 of us in a 1 suite for less than the cost of 2 adjoining rooms. Communications from hotel were EXCELLENT with special kudos to Herman at the front desk. Quiet area but very walkable to subway for more exciting areas. Only down sides…phone not working (useful for front desk contact) and could use more lighting in bedroom. Would DEFINITELY stay there again.

The location is a little outside of the Midtown craziness but close enough to get to pretty quickly, which makes it convenient and a little less chaotic than other parts of town. For what we paid, however, I thought the rooms would be a little nicer and more modern. It was cold outside but so incredibly hot and stuffy inside and nothing we did seemed to cool it off. It was good for what we needed it to be on this trip, though I'm not sure I would stay there again.
