Reviews
The hotel's location near Niagara Falls is its strongest point, with many guests appreciating the proximity to attractions. However, the reviews consistently mention issues with the staff's attitude and the cleanliness of the rooms. Additionally, many guests express frustration with hidden fees, particularly for parking.
- Excellent location near Niagara Falls
- Spacious and comfortable rooms
- Rude and unhelpful staff
- Cleanliness issues in rooms and common areas
- Hidden fees, particularly for parking
- Poor maintenance and lack of supervision
- 2/5
The place was a dump. The place wasn't very clean. The air conditioner/heater was loud enough to wake you up.The bathroom was the size of a closet. They charge $20 a day parking in a lot full of cracks and holes. The elevators are so small I could barely turn my wheelchair around. Terrible. Never again.

Nice property
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable, walking distance from restaurants and the Niagara Falls. Great option for not having to drive around.
- 5/5
Very clean and bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Loved the hot shower...shower is a little slippery so be careful.
- 5/5
Excellent for family living
- 5/5
Nice hotel and nice staff
- 1/5
Smelly carpet. Cracked bathtub. Cobwebs on the windows. Not a well maintained property. Avoid if you have other reasonable options
- 4/5
The only downside is that during the two days we stayed, they didn't clean the room, make the beds, or change the towels. We had to call reception to get clean towels.
- 4/5
The property was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The one thing I didn't like was that they would not allow you to check in not even a minute before 4pm stating that the room was not ready. So we waited in the lobby for 45 minutes with everyone else and then had to stand in a long line to check in. That being said I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
We decided to stop at Niagara Falls NY on our way to Manchester NH for my Graduation. It was the best decision we made and the hotel was perfect. Easy to locate and in a perfect location. The staff were very friendly and always available to help us when needed. Very courteous. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Overall, this was an excellent choice for our first stop on our amazing trip.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Staff was awesome. They were very helpful. They took care of me when I needed things for my room. Restaurant you can walk right through the hotel to get to. I thought the food was very good especially breakfast.
- 4/5
Ok
- 3/5
door @ 9:30am felt rush to leave before time to leave. The service did not meet money paid. 11:30am. Didn't get the service wanted for the price paid.
- 4/5
The wings at the restaurant was very very disappointing The service was excellent all around
- 5/5
Early checkin
- 2/5
The air condition was filled with dust and lint on the vents. On the bathroom door was some kind of oil stain trail. On the shower heads, the nozzles were really dirty. The paint peeled off on the tub in a few different places. The room separation door was really outdated. We could hear clearly from the next door. The only updates done to the room were the bathroom mirror and the bed’s head boards. The view was close to the Niagra Falls. Other than that, it was filthy.
- 5/5
Walkable distance to the falls with so many restaurant options on the way!!!!
- 4/5
This hotel is clean, comfortable, quiet, and within walking distance of the park and several mostly fast-food restaurants. The main lobby and the room we stayed in looked somewhat dated and could benefit from some updates. The beds were very comfortable, and both the shower and bathtub were spotless, although the bathroom door could use a fresh coat of paint. The room also did not include a safe.
- 3/5
Elevators were busy all the time.
- 3/5
Location walking distance to the falls. Breakfast is not like the ones in other hotels, and not to the expectation at all.
- 5/5
Nice services and property.
- 5/5
Really a good place to stay in Niagara Falls.
- 5/5
Difficult to connect with the WiFi, a minor issue though since we do have our mobile data available.
- 3/5
The staff was nice, room decent, can't beat the location if you're interested in going to the falls state park
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 4/5
My stay was fine until the day I checked out they told me there was a $25 parking fee that was going to be charged on my card and when I refuse to pay because they did not have that on any signage. They told me that I would be put on a list that I couldn't stay there anymore because I refuse to pay for the parking. Needless to say, I will not be staying there again after years of being after years of staying there on several occasions.
- 5/5
Within walking distance of all parts of the Falls. Reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable. Truly enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Everything is good and organized
- 3.5/5
The location was perfect, walking distance to the falls and shops. The pool was ice cold, not feasible for smaller children.
- 4.5/5
The location is walkable from Falls & nearby lots of restaurants for food options.
- 5/5
Close to the falls Very centrally located
- 2/5
Room was just okay. The shower clogged while showering. The toilet seat was very small compared to average size toilet seats. Bed was comfortable. The pool was freezing for a so called "heated pool". When I asked to check the pool temperature, I got a lame excuse that it was "room temperature", nope, it was freezing.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff were friendly
- 5/5
perfect location, just a few steps to see the Niagra , friendly staff , you can smell the cleaning, when you wallk in great experience, God bless all the employees and the managers ?
- 5/5
Excellent staff.
- 4/5
Ok with stay
- 5/5
Front desk staff was wonderful. Polite and wnergetic
- 2/5
You can hear EVERYTHING from outside to the room beside you there were no secrets you could keep. Our toilet kept making a flushing noise at random. And the bathroom wasn’t as clean as you would hope at a hotel.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Wifi was good.
- 4/5
Location is perfect for the falls activities. The room was spacious and clean. The check in staff was excellent. The attached restaurant had decent pub fare. Our waitress was magnificent. The size of the bathroom within the room was very cramped. Some of the bathroom amenities were almost empty. No real major complaints as we found our room in an overall acceptable condition.
- 5/5
wonderful bathroom
- 5/5
Ducha y toilet fatal no se iba el agua
- 5/5
Walking distance to the Falls and casino. No continental breakfast.
- 5/5
I stayed here for a hockey tournament. My room was upgraded at check-in to a fallsview room. The hotel was comfortable and clean. Staff were very tolerant to social gatherings with teammates.
- 5/5
I do not use internet. The hotel was good, very clean
- 5/5
Located close to the America Falls Bridge. Nice and helpful staffs. Internet speed was satisfactory.
- 4/5
Great location. Good hotel. Satisfactory overall.
- 4/5
Super nice staff and a relaxing stay! Toilet paper roll holder was broken not a big deal, only thing I thought was odd was the vent in the bathroom did not work and was mounted in the shower on the wall next to the shower head. Maybe they didn’t have another place to put it but it was just kinda awkward haha but overall it was a nice place to stay!
- 5/5
it was easy walking distance to the Falls and Casino. We liked everything but but the indoor pool seemed to be too out in the open.
- 4/5
Yes clean .staff friendly. After paying 500 for 2 night then had to pay for parking a little disturbing...
- 0.5/5
The light switch in the bathroom wasn't working. I asked them to fix it, and they said they would. But no one ever showed up. And for some reason, parking was not free. - 2/5
The staff was friendly, but i had booked a room with a view of the canadian side. I got a 1st floor room of the parking lot, it was great hearing cars going in and out all night. The shower head was broken and held together with duct tape, had almost no pressure and was so low it was hitting me in the middle of my chest, the carpet was dirty...just not impressed at all.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, great locatuon for what we needed.
- 3/5
Didn't see a breakfast menu
- 5/5
Amazing room and location was great to walk to everything Pool was closed for maintenance
- 1/5
Only Location. The hotel was disappointing overall. The entrance, room, and breakfast area were noticeably dirty, making it feel more like a budget roadside motel than a proper hotel. The hallways and room had an unpleasant odor, and the room itself was outdated. The bathroom wall was peeling, and the bathtub was slippery, which felt unsafe. Additionally, there were no vegetarian options available at breakfast. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at this location.
- 2/5
I wasn’t happy about extra charge of $20 to be able to park on hotel’s parking lot on the top of high rate to begin with.
- 4/5
good
- 4.5/5
Excellent
- 1.5/5
The location The staff, paying for parking, pool was gross
- 1.5/5
The location of it. The staff, the price, paying for parking, sheets inside out on the bed
- 5/5

Washrooms are dated and small. Overall a good experience with room and staff.

Such a beautiful hotel!!
- 5/5
The room was nicely cleaned smelled fresh. Kind staff
- 2/5
The shade cover fell off and hit me in the head
- 5/5
Ahmed, our check in front desk staff, was excellent! Would come again
- 3/5
We booked a suite and half of it had no lighting whatsoever. I called the desk, looking for some kind of alternative such as a lamp, but they had nothing to offer. Also, during our three day stay the maids did not clean our room at all.
- 5/5
The room very clean.
- 4/5
Reasonably clean and good location, nice view of the waterfall (well, the mist rising above it).
- 5/5
Room is very clean. Quiet area in the winter.
- 5/5
Nice room, comfy bed
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious
- 3/5
The room was clean a bit musty became of the carpets. Staff were friendly at the front desk. Air conditioner was noisy had to tern thermostat down to 60 degress to get it to work so the room got cold.
- 5/5
Excellent location and staff. I recommend everyone stay here while visiting The falls.
- 4/5
Clean room. Staff friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location very clean hotel room was great
- 4/5
No breakfast
- 4/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff and closeness to goat island
- 5/5
Nice place. Convenient to get to park and other attractions
- 5/5
Great place
- 4/5
That being said, the staff there is excellent. Very helpful and kind. We didn’t have breakfast there as we decided to go elsewhere. And you can’t go wrong with being right across the street from Niagara Falls State Park and the Rainbow Bridge to Canada.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and close to attractions
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable
- 5/5
The room was clean and provided everything we needed for our 2 day stay. Walking distance to the State Park. Anchor Bar was connected to the hotel. Casino within walking distance.
- 4/5
This property was right across from Niagara Falls it was perfect location . We got the room with the view but you can barely see it so wasn’t really worth it for that
- 5/5
Room was very clean, spacious, wonderful view. Pool and gym was nice. There are many walkable food and entertainment options. The Niagara state park is next door and the entrance to rainbow bridge. You can just walk across to canadian side to Clifton Hill of course with a passport.
- 5/5
Was great, close to the water falls
- 5/5
Good location
- 4/5
We had an amazing view
- 1/5
I booked through Expedia. Two adults two kids. At the end there was an add breakfast option so I added it. Bit expensive but ok because of the location. First they hit you for 20 bucks a day for parking. I guess they expect their guests to ride the bus. Then the 80 bucks I spent on the breakfast package is only good for two people. They wouldn’t take it off my bill because it was a third party vendor. They hit my credit card at 4 pm even though the app said I wouldn’t be charged till after I checked in. The guy was well rehearsed and rude in a passive aggressive way I said ok it’s your google review and he offered to cancel my reservation but I still owed them for the first day. Leaving me out a nights rent and nowhere to sleep at ten pm. So we decided to pay their blackmail. The room is filthy. Someone painted the bathtub at some point and the paint is chipping and coming off in chunks. There are many spots where the wallpaper is peeling off and the carpet is dirty. Even the elevators had a buildup of crud on the sill. The big one was an air vent in the shower that hadn’t been cleaned in decades. It looked worse than when I change the air filters on my ac at home. We go to breakfast the next morning and only half the menu qualifies for the breakfast program. I paid twenty five bucks apiece for egg sandwiches for my kids drinks and tip extra of course. Bottom line don’t stay there unless you like legalese when they are ripping you off. Overpriced everything. Rude employees.
- 5/5
Very good.
- 3/5
Property is ok, some things are old .The good thing is that is very close to the Falls so you can walk everywhere. The staff is pretty nice and attentive. Especially the lady. Overall is good
- 4/5
Great hotel close to the park. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and accommodating. They assisted us by ensuring our booking was not canceled on the day of our arrival, even though we hadn’t checked in yet. We had opted to pay at the property, but hotels.com wanted to charge our card before we arrived or cancel the room. While this issue wasn’t the property’s fault, I mention it to highlight that they made the effort to keep our room reserved. Very nice!
- 5/5
The location is great for access to the falls park. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing off was the smoke detector was just hanging on the wires but still seemed to be working
- 4/5
Perfect for a weekend trip to Niagara Falls. Walkable to Niagara State Park and Canada . Tours available from hotel . One washer and dryer on site and you will need Canadian coins to operate them. Next door to Anchor Bar.
- 4/5
Hotel was nice nice walking distance to the park had a wonderful time Niagara falls is a must
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean property.
- 4/5
It was clean
- 1/5
Beware of hidden fees!! $14.99 Destination fee and $19.00 parking fee. The hotel is very run down. I can't imagine the why they charge a destination fee when it's NOT a resort! Wallpaper peeling, mold and mildew in the bathroom. Stayed in the King Suite which the window was a roof walkway. Could hear people walking through early in the AM. The other side of the suite had no ammeties such as a mirror or lights. The only light was by the bed so the rest of the area was dark which made it impossible to see anything in my luggage. This hotel was totally not worth the added expense, Will never stay again!!
- 5/5
Stayed here for a weekend. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and updated. The location is fantastic. We were able to walk to everything. Would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Check In was easy (though under staffed). Our room (#200) could of used a good cleaning. Carpet was dirty, hair on the bathroom floor, fruit flies in our room, baby ants in the bathroom. Mini fridge was missing. Microwave was dirty inside. And our room looked directly to a stone wall (no view). The fixture around the shower head was loose. The shower plumbing rattled in our room and in our neighbors every time the shower was used. Walls are very thin (neighbors were very noisy). Carpet in the hallway was dirty. And trash was placed outside of our room (though it was not ours). Besides being close to the Canadian border....we did not like our stay at the Hilton.
- 5/5
Nice very good location
- 5/5
Attached restaurant breakfast option very expensive. $80.00
- 4/5
Very convenient location and friendly staff
- 4/5

We had a great stay
- 5/5
Didn’t like that we had to pay to park at the Hotel! Parking should be free to guests!
- 5/5
Best time
- 5/5
Very nice property
- 5/5
Good service and safe
- 3/5
It's an average outdated hotel with a small outdated bathtub and a curtain that could stick yo you body while showering. Bathroom exhaust didn't seem to be working at all. Sheets looked clean but the batress cover kepted sliding off the matress. Parking is $20 and there is also a hidden fees that expidia does not show you upfront.

- 4/5
Helpful staff and service. Stayed 3 nights with family. Restaurant staff was also good, they were able to accommodate vegetarian food options.
- 3/5
rooms not cleaned properly, also charged additional amount for car parking which was not mentioned during the booking

- 3/5
Staff were very nice and effficient. Room was clean but very worn looking and not worthy of the holiday inn name. Tub had been partially painted in a different color, no spout in tub, had to use shower head to fill. Rust visible around tub, air filters in conditioner were packed and dirty. Room had a damp smell and as an “accessible “ room there was very little room for a wheelchair. Lobby has torn and ripped carpeting in walkway to hallway, in several spots and the general look of the hotel is worn out and not clean.
- 5/5
The only thing was that one of the lifts broke down. But that was not a large issue
- 5/5
Perfect location for the water falls, park and close all resterents
- 5/5
👌👍
- 1/5
IHG took the liberty of adding my email to their marketing promotions, and sent me an email EVERY DAY, till I had to create an account, and reset my preferences. The most irritating experience I have had in recent years. You can stay here, but be prepared to be SPAMed.
- 2/5
I don't like that
- 1/5
Bad experience! We booked through Expedia.Next day I noticed that in my bank account I have two other charges. In front desk they admitted that they overcharged us by mistake and they assured us that the payments will be reversed soon.I have one payment returned and still waiting for the other one
- 2/5
No arcade like advertised. Charged extra outside of booking through Expedia. Breakfast was overpriced.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in Niagara Falls 🙌 we can rest and enjoy the weekend, alls service excellent and great hospitality too we will miss you, thanks Holiday Inn
- 3/5
There were lots of bugs entering the property and the building was warm & humid. Elevator was dirty and hot, failed to display signs of it being inspected. The room had trash behind the beds. The AC didn’t cool and when it was running it was really loud. The bathroom is tiny - very limited to move around
- 5/5
Recommend
- 4/5
Being from Orlando, I expected to pay for parking, but it was pretty expensive. I also expected a little bit more of a response when we reported that the tub was drifting. Everyone was really nice, but I don't think anyone came up to assess or, the fix needs more than they could do while we were there, but we really didn't get any word back.
- 4/5
Great stay for the night.
- 3/5
Nice that it’s close to the falls and anchor bar prefect location
- 3/5
You definitely pay for the view and location instead of the actual facilities. The king suite does not live up to its name or price, and the room smelled like smoke. Cleaning needs to be reinforced. There’s no freezers in the mini fridges. Great location, walkable to everything and right by the state park.
- 5/5
We had a nice stay and nobody bothered us…quite nice. Walking distance to restaurants, shops etc. It was clean and front desk workers were helpful with all info we needed.
- 4/5
Pretty walkable distance to Niagara Falls
- 3/5
Proximity to activities was great, front desk staff were very helpful and nice and the room was pretty clean but we were rather disturbed to have a gap around the closed door that was so big it would easily allow someone to see into the room. With two daughters, I had to remember to stuff a hand towel into the space after every time the door was opened.
- 5/5
Perfect location for walking to the falls and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable. Great customer service.
- 4/5
The property was very close to Niagara Falls easy walk.
- 3/5
Need to upgrade the beds
- 5/5
Friendly staff very convenient location. Clean pool and restaurant in the property. Rooms are clean
- 5/5
Holiday Inn Niagara Falls is very clean and close to the Niagara state park. My stay was very good I would highly recommend this hotel
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly staff .
- 4/5
Very nice, extremely busy on the weekend. Two elevators with seven floors, if they are busy expect to wait. During the week wasn’t too bad.
- 2/5
Very average hotel. Carpets were ancient and smelly.
- 4/5
Best location old property needs to improve
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 2/5
Our bathroom shower was moldy and the room smelled like a locker room we were next to the ice machine which is extremely noisy at 5 am with people getting ice. Lots of kids and parents were letting them yell and run down the halls before 7 am. We checked out extremely early
- 5/5
Pay for parking
- 4/5
This is my second stay at this hotel (2025 and 2023). I appreciate the super convenient location with a short walk to the Niagara Falls State Park and other restaurant options. It was nice to have a restaurant onsite also as well so parking. There is a daily parking fee—at this hotel and just about anywhere else. Upon entering our hotel room, I noticed the bathroom floor was sticky. I stopped back at the front desk and they sent someone up right away to take care of it. The bed was comfortable but seemed short in length. The free WiFi cut out sometimes but nothing too annoying. TV had many channels to choose from.
- 4/5
Great location. The second Smaller bed in room very uncomfortable and not clean. Hotel charged extra fee for booking on Expedia
- 4/5
It was clean, but bathroom, AC, lights, electrical outlets were all out dated and for the price could use a major update!!! Anchor bar had a two hour wait so we went to HardRock and no wait and it’s closer to the falls! Location is all they have going for them. Pool was nice not enough tables and chairs and the staff was extra annoying and we got removed for have a beer after paying 400$ for a room…. Won’t stay there next year for the annual Tournament.
- 4/5
It was very nice
- 4/5
Clean, friendly staff and good location. Able to walk to Niagara Falls and restaurants.
- 5/5
Close proximity to Niagra Falls State Park
- 5/5
Close to Niagara falls and restaurants. Walking to anything you wanted.
- 5/5
Everything was really nice, we were on the 5th floor with the Canadian skyline view. Staff was awesome. The only thing i did not like is that we had to pay to park at the hotel. If your a guest at the hotel, you are already paying to stay, you should not have to pay to park there. This is the first place i encountered that. Everywhere else i stayed you had free parking as a guest.
- 5/5
The parking is $20 per day, would like free parking.
- 5/5
The front d
- 5/5
The Holiday Inn was a nice and clean place to stay and everything was within walking distance. We had a nice view of the Falls and the fireworks at night.
- 2/5
Liked that we could walk to the state park. Beds were very uncomfortable. Extra fees kept being added, fees for parking are very annoying when you have purchased a room. Rooms are heavily used.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay! Staff was very nice and always available. Room was clean at check in and cleaned while we were out for the day. Pool was clean, a little cold but very nice for kids. The Anchor Bar and Grill attached was delicious. Everything was within walking distance and we felt very safe during our stay. Parking was an additional charge but so much easier than trying to find a spot anywhere else. Thank you for a great experience!
- 5/5
Great family location with helpful and welcoming staff.
- 5/5
We stayed up on the 7th floor. The hallway smelled funny but our stay was great. Our reception when we arrived dark and early in the morning was great.
- 3/5
We stayed 2 nights, the first time when arrived our room it wasnt clean, the second day it was better. But if will need go again I dont choose this hotel.
- 2/5
Nothing unique, the elevators only worked half the time and when they were working they were shaking and making weird noises, stains all over the floors and the outlets and Charing ports didn't work
- 5/5
Overall great experience!
- 5/5
Great Area and Great Staff very friendly and helpful!
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
The location is perfect, walking distance to the park, friendly staff, clean, and close to many restaurants, and stores.
- 2/5
ROOM HAD A MOLDY SMELL, BATHTUB CLOGGED AND TOOK A LONG TIME TO DRAIN, TOILET PAPER RACK BROKEN. DOES NOT OFFER BREAKFAST. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE SERVICE.
- 5/5
it was clean and comfortable ..we had a good time
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Only downfall is slow elevators long waits sometimes. Great hotel tho.
- 5/5
This is a great property. Get some chicken wings from the anchor bar and enjoy your stay
- 4/5
Loved that it was a 5min walk to the falls and park. Also to different restaurants. No need to drive around. Location was great.
- 5/5
Very clean room. Great location walking distance from park. Honest crew working here.
- 2/5
Very dirty Property is aged from inside
- 1/5
room smell like urine the entire complex was very dirty. Staff was very disappointing. Will never even think about book here again.
- 4/5
Great walkable location to and from waterfalls . Not many dining area options.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean and looked relatively new. Swimming pool was heated and well maintained. Attached restaurant is a plus. Had a microwave in the room which we appreciated.
- 3/5
Property is older with updates. Clean overall and convenient. Some confusion over extra charges for breakfast and not too thrilled about getting stuck in the elevator.
- 3/5
Great location and wonderful staff! However, this place is in desperate need of a renovation. Lots of peeling wallpaper and a super slow drain (eww!) the sheets were clean but really dirty windows.
- 5/5
The hire is very clean , staff are friendly .
- 4/5
Great stay. Clean and friendly
- 5/5
Great hotel clean and very friendly staff
- 5/5
I did not have to move my car at all. Everything was in walking distance, the falls, restaurants and casino. What I did not like about the property is paying for parking as a guest.
- 5/5
Excellent atmosphere and superb location
- 2/5
They have a microwave in the room so providing some basic utensils on request especially when you have 2 toddlers who need to be fed after a long drive.
