Reviews
The Giacomo Hotel receives mixed reviews, with guests appreciating its proximity to Niagara Falls and the friendly staff, but expressing concerns about cleanliness and maintenance issues. The hotel's Art Deco style and unique character are often praised, but some guests find the rooms small and outdated.
- Close proximity to Niagara Falls
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Cleanliness issues
- Maintenance and outdated facilities
- 4/5
The staff was lovely and very helpful. The hotel is old and could use some updating. The room was very spacious and clean. Whatever products they use to clean with have an overpowering smell.
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay. Kinda dark but it was expected. Staff very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
This was a great hotel experience for us!
- 4.5/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and free parking. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. We also loved the beautiful Art Deco architecture. Highly recommended! The breakfast could be better. I didn't like the use of disposable plates and cutlery—it feels a bit cheap and doesn't match the hotel's stylish Art Deco atmosphere.
- 5/5
the bartender was OUTSTANDING!! Such a pleasure to meet and excpetionally helpful!
- 4.5/5
The room was tidy, even though the hotel is a bit dated Location is great, walking distance to the Rainbow Bridge Breakfast could have been better
- 5/5
The hospitality of the staff and the interior design Nothing I can think off
- 5/5
Spa bath, good breakfast, friendly staff, gorgeous Falls view from the sky lounge. The windows were dirty

Staff were exceptional! We loved our stay!

Superb
- 4/5
We stayed for our 25th anniversary. The hotel was cool. The bartender was a very charming gentleman and the staff was pretty great too. I did think the room we stayed in was cool but it had a lot of cobb webs and dust. The TV was jankey and it didn't come in clearly on some stations. Not a smart TV either. Asked for a robe, nope. Said they were all taken. That was odd I thought. Our AC unit dripped onto the rug and made a huge wet spot. Im sure it does that everytime someone stays in that room and uses air conditioning so I wondered about mold. Breakfast was plentiful but was cheap. The eggs are probably egg beaters or powder, sausage was not very edible, but the French toast was good. Coffee? Excellent. All and all, the hotel has its charms for sure but it really needs a good cleaning. It was good but not great. Probably would not stay again.
- 2/5
The hotel is an impressive building from the outside albeit a little worn inside and it is in a really good location for the Falls I don't normally complain but in this case I feel I have to. All of the plumbing pipes in the rooms are exposed. This wouldn't have been a problem except they were really noisy. At times we felt we were staying in a factory not a hotel due to the noise. I wore ear plugs at night and I could still hear them and sometimes they were so loud they woke me despite the ear plugs. When I asked the reception about them they couldn't have cared less. They said oh you are on the fourth floor so you are hearing the plumbing from all the floors above you. As evidence of the sheer lack of care from this hotel the breakfasts were also dismal.
- 4.5/5
The location was great. The staff was friendly. Parking was convenient. They had a hot breakfast. No fitness center or pool.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Staff was phenominal! Very accommodating and helpful.
- 5/5
The location was fantastic, rooms were awesome. The entire staff were friendly and extremely helpful. I love that you support our veterans and those currently serving.
- 4/5
Liked the room and location walkable to Niagara state park We dint like the fact that they are so strict with check in and check out times The toilet flush was not working

The Hotel was very nice ant the location was absolutely perfect to see Falls and fireworks
- 4/5
All staff members are excellent. We had to check out before 6 am. They packed breakfast for us to have on the train. God bless you all!
- 3.5/5
The hotel needs some TLC. The commode had water stains and the property was very old and needs renovation.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was good. The 19th floor deck offers a decent view of the city and the falls. The hotel needs some TLC. The commode had water stains and the property was very old and needs renovation.
- 4/5
its in a convenient location, easy to walk to the falls... hotel was neat and clean the parking spot could have been easier. entry door is not the most convenient to use when you have luggage with you....

Exceptional
- 5/5
One night stay. Room was beautiful and spacious. Staff was great and the bartender was wonderful. Close to everything and staying in a unique hotel is worth it.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Great location in the middle of everything. Easily walkable to the falls. Excellent shower, spacious suite that was clean and looked great. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Overall experience was excellent. Room was spacious and clean and beautiful view. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Bar service was excellent and plenty to choose from.
- 1/5
The property was very old and dirty and not well kept. Water was leaking from one of the pipes up on the ceiling. Shower drain was also very dirty staff was nice though.
- 3/5
The hotel was in terrible disrepair. That was our main concern and the fact that security was lacking. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. We left early due to our concerns and were not compensated by management. Overall, our trip to Niagara Falls was great.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good, with good options such as egg, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc..
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay and the staff was exceptional. We would definitely stay again next time we are there.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. While there were things that could be improved, the pros outweigh the cons by a lot. Great place to stay.
- 4/5
Excellent nostalgic property with great history. Great staff, breakfast in the morning was good. (Needs Hotter Hot SAUCE). Walking distance to falls, casino, and other sites. So it is a bit dated but thats part of what makes it great. Has a bar, wish it opened a bit before 5 and stayed open at least till 12. Free coffee all day. Cookies free at night. What more could you ask for. Again, the staff was excellent. You feel welcomed.
- 5/5
Great hotel with great character. Front desk staff and bar staff, especially Kevin, were outstanding. Excellent location to the falls and a short walk to our tour meeting points.
- 5/5
Everything was good friendly staff great atmosphere…
- 5/5
View from my window was of the hotel next door but you can go up to the 19th floor to see an amazing view of the city and Canada.
- 5/5
The building is a 19 story art deco masterpiece. The lobby is that of an apartment building, so not spacious like today's hotels but very classy and the staff were genuinely friendly and helped with issues. The elevators were very quick for such a big building and we were right in the middle of town and close to the attractions. Our room had 12ft ceilings and felt very spacious. Lights automatically came on when we entered. Breakfast wasn't my favorite, but we also came down when it was very busy. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Great hotel! We loved the vintage decor! Our room was spacious as well as the bathroom, bed was comfy too! We were able to walk all around the area, you can walk to the falls from the hotel! We would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
It was just ok
- 4/5
Our room was very comfortable for 2. The fireplace was sort of a joke as I tried it when we first got there and all it was was an electric simulated fire. Staff was very nice and cleaned our room almost every day- we were there 4 nights. Breakfast was OK- basically the same thing each day. Bar nice and private with friendly service.
- 5/5
Great room, great staff! Very close to everything!
- 4/5
Clean Room. The staff exelent personal atencion Alisha in the front desk it exelent person with the customers. Breakfast. Umm little ok was no bacon in te menu 😂 but was good ✌✌
- 4/5
Everything was great, staff were really nice, bartender was amazing. Only issue was the toilet but it got fix right away. This hotel is close to everything and around everything. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
The GM Lenny paid great attention to detail and gave great recommendations on local places to eat. The lobby bar was full of energy. You would be making a huge mistake if you did not stop by and grab a drink and an appetizer!! Kevin, the bartender, was fantastic! He made you feel like you are a regular customer. A+
- 2/5
We spent two days without heating and air. They kept telling us they had no rooms to change us to, and that the 4th and 5th floor were all under the same conditions. Our room phone did not work so we had to call the front desk via cell and went down multiple times to see when they would have an estimate. We also reported the large stain in the room that was wet when we checked in, and that we did not have the robes. We reported that one because we were not going to pay for property damage, and secondly there is a charge of $75 per robe if taken. There were also dead bugs in the windows that had fallen from the curtains. The manager never followed up with us. This was a weekend trip to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, would I recommend this establishment not in its current condition. The pros to this location is that it’s a short distance from the Falls, and the 19th floor Skylounge. We met some lovely ladies from England and they best described this hotel as tired. That is a great statement for the hotel. They need to update their HVAC systems and over all have better follow through. I did enjoy the artwork, decor, and location, but would love to see them improve the customer experience and the HVAC systems.
- 5/5
Clean room with electric fireplace. Staff very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good
- 5/5
The absolute best place to stay
- 5/5
Really nice staff, 2 minutes from Niagara Falls.
- 4/5
Old wall papers and Capet need upgrades.
- 5/5
The hotel is ideally located close to both Seneca Casino and the falls which you can walk to. The hotel was clean and we LOVED the decor. We will return to this property next time we are in Niagara New York.
- 5/5
A short walk to the falls and restaurants. We have stayed at the Giacomo at least 10 times. We will be back
- 5/5
The breakfast was wonderful every day. The staff was amazing. Loved the receptionist that was there most of it stay. Very funny and kind.
- 3/5
Bathroom ceiling flaking and falling down, refrigerator didn’t work
- 5/5
It was an amazing time! The room was more than what we expected! We will be back!
- 5/5
Beautiful old building and clean well decorated rooms. Only complaints were keycards constantly being wiped by being near phone or keys, and no towels in room. Other than that great hotel with great price close to the border.
- 4/5
The TV was in our room was controlled by a motion sensor mounted high up on the wall & pointed at the bed. The TV turned off by itself while we were watching a program. We complained to the front desk. The clerk related it was on a motion sensor. The goal may be to conserve energy, but the effect is big brother is watching you.
- 2/5
Our first room had coffee grounds on the chair and all over the floor so they gave us a different room. The staff was great but the rooms have gone down hill BIG time. I mentioned how disappointed we were with our room and the woman at the front mentioned they were going to be renovations happening soon. I sure hope so.
- 5/5
Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff, lovely decor
- 5/5
Quiet Beautiful view 360 of the falls Breakfast Turkey Sausage delicious Manager Lenny perfect Runs the place as if it's his home and your a welcome guest
- 5/5
It was a wonderful experience. It's a gorgeous hotel. Love the decor and how have embraced the beauty of the building. Our room was lovely. Nice little touches such as a welcome letter. The front desk person was phenomenal and kind. Their daily breakfast which is complimentary was great. We stayed for two days and they had different warm breakfast items and many options. The location is perfect by the Falls and Casino. More hotels need to strive to be like this one.
- 1/5
The front desk was very rude in the morning
- 5/5
It was as great as I expected. Staff was extremely nice.
- 5/5
This place is so great! Staff is so welcoming and accommodating. Front desk staff is beyond impressive and personable. We come to NF every now and then and when we do, we stay at the Giacomo. Complimentary breakfast is great too. Sky view longe is an added bonus with awesome views. Obviously, we’ll be back.
- 5/5
Wow!! The views, the staff, the rooms, the whole stay was absolutely amazing. Can't wait to go back again!!
- 5/5
The hotel and staff were great! It’s not their fault that the government and officials operating in Niagara Falls, NY are corrupt and horrible people. If anybody involved in the government put the time and funds into the community around the NY side, I’m sure the community could thrive again.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay. Our room was beautiful, the tub was fantastic, the fireplace perfect for cold winter nights and romantic atmosphere. The skylounge was great except no one warns you that last 3 flights of stairs have to be walked. The breakfast was awful though. The food was cold, the coffee was basically water and the waffle mix was so thin that it made a shell of a waffle. .
- 1/5
I arrived to the property to check in where the front desk agent argued that I didn’t have a reservation when I clearly did and she was looking at the wrong day. I then get assigned my room and parking and go upstairs to a room that was a horror show. The room was filthy with a dirty bathroom and bed. The room and entire hallway reeked of marijuana and cigarette smoke when it’s a non smoking property and there were individuals smoke in the stairwell. After trying to clean and make it work I finally decided to go down to the desk and ask to be moved and was told there were no rooms and no person on site that could do a room change and I would have to come back later which I did and was given the same message. I left to go get dinner and return to my assigned parking spot with another car in it so I went to the desk and a new agent proceeds to argue with me that I didn’t have a parking spot so I had to go to my car and get my parking paper to show her and she was informed that I had checked out so she had reassigned the parking spot. She also again was looking at the wrong days. I have photos of the broken heater, broken shower, broken bathroom heat lamp, broken toilet etc. I don’t typically leave reviews like this but this place is very misleading and there is no way their reviews are from actual guests. I want future guests to know where they are staying. This place was a complete nightmare and further more they didn’t even shovel and salt their sidewalk.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Friendly staff and great experience
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The lounge was cozy and welcoming. We loved the view from the 19th floor. The rooms were lovely and comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff was great
- 5/5
Best place to stay in Niagara Falls hands down
- 5/5
Wonderful room. ..quiet clean great staff
- 5/5
The staff was amazing when we first got hear they greeted us with open arms and treated us like family. When we told them that we are here to celebrate our anniversary they gave us free bottle of champagne which was so nice. Last we had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary in our room and up to the skyline looking at the amazing view and taking amazing pictures. The next morning the breakfast was amazing and the morning staff was also very polite and friendly and helpful. It’s sad to leave today Saturday December 13,2025 this beautiful wonderful amazing hotel. We will be back for sure next year in the summer time again and stay here longer this time.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of this hotel. The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of choice. A cut above the normal hotel breakfast.
- 2/5
The air conditioner in the room is making too much noise when it's working and even with it switching on, the room still feels cold. As a result I couldn't fall asleep at all for the whole night. The pillow also smells like somebody's hair has not been washed for some time.
- 5/5
Over all I’ll be going there plenty more times. Oh and the view out my room window was breath taking…
- 4/5
The Floors In The Room Should Be Clean More
- 4/5
Had to clean the bathroom floors from the sticky residue of the cleaner used.
- 4/5
The staff was top notch, very helpful, kind, and courteous. The breakfast staff was great as well.
- 2/5
The room had food on the floor from previous party. No robes in the bathrooms. People were smoking in the stairwell. A fire alarm went off in the middle of the night due to people smoking in the stairwell. We stayed 8 years ago but will not being staying again
- 5/5
Hotel room was ok. Location was great. Service was excellent.
- 5/5
Outstanding service, breakfast, staff, snacks, and hot beverages. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the Buffalo, Niagra Falls area!
- 4/5
Great staff
- 4/5
The room was a bit stale and stuffy . Staff was extremely helpful
- 5/5
Staff was amazing, we had a great stay. Loved our room & the lookout area!
- 5/5
Cleanliness was great however, what stood out the most is the absolute awesome staff. They truly go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Never once greeted without an amazing smile and a warm hello. The young lady by the name Quetina (truest apologies if I butchered the spelling) is a huge asset for their business. She makes you feel like family. We had an issue with securing an Uber for an event that we had a set time for arrival to attend, she went so far as to call and make arrangements for us a ride on her own. We 100% recommend a stay.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and very welcoming at all times. The room was absolutely amazing clean and very well prepared as my husband had asked as it was our honeymoon.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants and attractions. The breakfast was always fresh and there were various options. The parking lot and area around the hotel was safe. The location is within walking distance to the Falls.
- 5/5
Room and property clean
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Clean room, excellent service and the staff was attentive. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and beautiful older boutique hotel.
- 3/5
the room was advertised as having a 2 person whirlpool. it was way too small for 2 adults
- 3/5
The staff was SO KIND and helpful. The hotel is just VERY OLD. It could have had a deep cleaning. I was attracted to the hotel for the old vibes but there was just a lot of things that were very dirty it stained.
- 5/5
Nice location to attractions
- 5/5
Clean room friendly staff
- 5/5
Excellent staff and it the room was exactly as described. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
I LOVE the Giacomo. They are friendly. They are attentive. Perfect location from Canadian side of falls and NY as well as walking distance from everything. Amazing breakfast buffet in morning. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!!
- 4/5
We had a good stay. Evetyone was very helpful and pleasant. Great location for walking to the falls. Appreciate being able to bring our dog.
- 5/5
What a neat historical hotel! The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very cozy and very well furnished. We really enjoyed the extra sitting area in the evening. The breakfast was very good too! Really appreciated the free coffee and cookies available in the entry and the bar was super nice. Probably the best part of this hotel was the great location! Right down the street from The Niagara State Park! The staff told us we could go up to the very top floor and view the fireworks they did over the Falls every night too! That was a great way to view them! The area around the hotel had several restaurants and the parking was in a secure gated lot right across the street. If your going to the park, this is definitely the hotel to stay in!
- 5/5
If we enjoy our stay, very convenient to Niagara Falls. Very nice lounge with great observation of the surrounding area. Breakfast with many options to choose from included in the price of our stay. Staff were very courteous and helpful about our visit.
- 3/5
Property is in need of renovations. Room had lots of paint issues. Loud, constant ventilation noise outside room window. Overpriced for the quality. Neighborhood needs help, as well.
- 3/5
Decent place. Old, out of date, room needed minor repairs, blow dryer did not work.
- 4/5
Comfortable beds, quiet, and clean but doesn’t feel luxurious if that’s what you’re looking for.
- 5/5
Our experience was better than we hoped for. It was perfect for my cousin's 70th birthday
- 3/5
It's equivalent to the Holiday Inn Express. Tje pictures make it look much more elegant than it is. The breakfast was continental, with powered eggs and sausage pucks in warmers. Very disappointed. Should have just booked with one of the nearby hotels and saved the $80, gotten a good breakfast elsewhere.
- 4/5
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
- 1/5
Disgusting. Booked the hotel for two nights stayed less than 7 hours. Checked out at 3 am due to bed bugs. No refund offered after requested no offer of another room. Dissatisfied completely. Will share reviews on every social media platform possible
- 4/5
Gorgeous hotel! We stayed in suite 1302. The only concern we had was the fire alarm going off for 25 minutes on a Saturday morning and none of the staff seemed to know what was going on. Meanwhile all guests were standing outside speculating because no staff came out to communicate. This was the ONLY issue we had during our stay.
- 5/5
1. Carpeting in room is worn nd looking shabby around doorways. 2. Large, tiled shower. However, floor was slippery and there was no rubber mat or grab bars. Any elderly person, of someone with balance issues could easily fall. 3. Shower pressure could be improved.
- 4/5
Friendly staff on reception. Secure free parking just across the street. Good breakfast. Only a short walk from Rainbow Bridge so great location. We found the room quite dark as the lighting was limited and there were no bedside tables which was a nuisance, but otherwise the stay was good.
- 1/5
Attitude from desk staff during check in. Not as clean as expected. No place to park for loading and unloading. Parking across the street was inconvenient.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel. Older, but well maintained. Breakfast was in a real dining room.
- 4/5
On the bright side, good breakfast, close to falls, very cheerful person in breakfast room. good parking. Sometimes I think this 3rd party reservation system gives ppl the less desired rooms.
- 4/5
I did not use the hot tub:jacuzzi on the second night for this reason as I was doubtful about the plumbing working correctly should I empty it after use.
- 5/5
Excellent location.
- 5/5
Nice cool room perfect for sleeping. Also, we could see the nightly fireworks from the comfort of the room.
- 5/5
Excellent service, management is very good. Location is very close. Can see light and fireworks at night from 19th floor
- 5/5
Good staff an nearby to Falls with excellent breakfast options
- 4/5
The only thing I wish they had was a local dining guide. The bartender was great and gave us a couple places that were walking distance and food not tourist traps.
- 5/5
Good location and friendly staff
- 5/5
The hotel was very historical in feel, the staff was very generous pleasant and helpful. We had a minor issue upon arrival but they managed to resolve the situation with elegance and upgraded our room to a beautiful suite free of charge which was totally awesome. If we are ever back in the Niagara area we will definitely be staying there again. Also it is literally a 5 minute walk to the Niagara Falls state park and if you want to go to the casino it’s a short 5 min walk there also.
- 2/5
The hotel is quite dated and hasn’t been renovated in years. The rooms have a strong, unpleasant odor, likely from previous smoking, despite being non-smoking rooms. The carpets and curtains are old and stained. The only positive aspect is the great location, just a couple of minutes from Niagara Falls Park.
- 5/5
I was worried about the neighborhood in front of the hotel, but just around the corner are restaurants and the Niagra Falls park is right there.
- 1/5
Old stained carpet and room had a bad smell. Needed to open windows to get rid od smell......
- 5/5
Excellent and friendly service, beautiful building and rooms, great views.
- 3/5
Property was nice but very aged. The rooms are considered “smart rooms” meaning if no motion is detected, then all electrical is shut off. So your phones etc will not fully charge during the night. Overall the stay was okay, rooms are aged and our carpet was stained and torn. Location is great though, close to Rainbow Bridge to crossover to Canada and close to casino if that’s your thing.
- 5/5
Easy parking. Nice breakfast buffet. Cool old hotel.
- 5/5
Property was perfect. Nice spacious rooms, convenient for the area. Staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Very nice. Comfortable room. Very helpful, friendly staff. Great location!
- 4/5
Good, spacious room and bathroom. Floors were stained and there was tape on the bathroom wall covering a hole or water damage. The observation deck was nice. Staff were awesome.
- 5/5
Amazing architecture and the room makes you feel like a millionaire
- 5/5
Excellent!!!
- 5/5
Ladies at the funny desk were amazing and professional. Very pleasant. The room exceeded my expectations
- 5/5
Lovely property and within walking distance of Niagara falls. Staff are very helpful.
- 5/5
Very close to Niagara falls. Excellent room decor and plenty of windows to let the sunlight in. Definitely will go back for the next visit.
- 5/5
The hotel itself if great. The viewing room was a little dirty and the bar had fruit flies flying around. But i would definitely be back.
- 5/5
Was easy to check in the staff was great and helpful
- 5/5
The whole experience was lovely. The breakfast was very good. Kudos to all the staff.
- 5/5
Overall excellent experience for the price! Our hot tub water was our only complaint as it took over and hour and a half to fill the tub and it also leaked water all over the floor from a bad faucet seal. Otherwise the room was impressive and romantic. The dining area and bar downstairs was a nice touch.
- 5/5
Love the decor and easy to walk places.
- 5/5
Great location close to falls, parks, and restaurants. Fun bartender who makes some wonderfully mean martinis. Loved the architecture and eclectic atmosphere.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was very good. The location was very convenient to everything. The parking was secure and gated.
- 5/5
Great customer service!
- 5/5
The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable. We saw the fireworks from the falls from our room & the upstairs skyview room as well. The staff was great, very friendly & accommodating. We liked the lounge & Felix, the bartender was fantastic. Breakfast was always hot & fresh.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at The Giacomo. The staff was very welcoming, super friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect. We were able to walk and enjoy Niagara Falls easily. The free breakfast was great as well. As for the property, a few updates are needed, ie, microwaves in the rooms, more lighting, and easier access to the viewing room. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Charming property in an excellent location with beautiful rooms and warm, friendly staff. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
The stay was amazing. The only issue I had was that the room was dusty and gave me allergies but overall great rooms and great complimentary breakfast.
- 2/5
Good room size, location is close to the falls - rest all is terrible. Dirty furniture in the room, really dates drapes and curtains, parking lot is across the street and reminds you of dodgy parking lots around sports stadiums. Con webbed entrance gates and entry pads. Bed won’t be made if you leave something innocuous as a dress behind on it. Staff quite defensive and unable to help when you bring these items to their attention.
- 4/5
Overall was a good experience. Staff was great! Breakfast was great!.. For whatever reason there was a fan in the ceiling AC unit making God awful noise only at night.. so didn't sleep the best.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay. Front desk staff was amazing. Hotel was very clean. We even saw fireworks over niagara falls from the 19th floor observation area! Only thing is that our bed was higher at the feet so it wasn't the most restful sleep, kinda felt like the bed was eating me.
- 4/5
The staff is amazing!!! The hotel nice, room smaller then expected, area not great.
- 5/5
The property was great! The pictures do not do it justice! Was amazing. The staff were so helpful. Loved the little snacks each night in the lobby!
- 5/5
everything was fine except the noise from the water pipes traversing the room
- 5/5
Charming staff and unique decor that compliments the art deco vibe of this 1929’s building. Highly recommend to those tired of standard, boring hotel rooms. Breakfast was on point as well.
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
Literally such a beautiful place to stay! We were able to get a view, for the side of the falls. There were fireworks every night. It was stunning. Staff at the hotel were extremely polite and friendly. Parking was extremely convenient in a gated lot across the street. Very convenient walking distance to meals, the falls, and other shops in the area, no need to drive anywhere local! Highly recommend this luxury stay! 10/10 for us!
- 1/5
On the site it says robes and slippers in room but there was none and when I went to front desk they said no you don’t get them and the staff was so unprofessional and the room was way overpriced for the state of it the furniture was worn and marked lights was out carpet was cut and frayed just a horrible stay overall
- 5/5
The Giacomo hotel surpasses all of our expectations!!! From the staff, the cleanliness, evening bar , the complimentary breakfast and able to walk everywhere!!!! Loved it...thank you to all of the staff.
- 4/5
Staff very good. Nice complimentary breakfast. Decor a bit dated and dark.

Probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. Large rooms with high ceilings, huge bathroom and a really cool, old retro vibe with soft lighting and mood music playing when you step into your room. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the bathroom was absolutely huge. The bed was very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Also very close to Niagra Falls State Park and all of its attractions.

A neat old hotel within fairly easy walking distance of the falls. Some of the staff were a little snippy. Parking codes did not respond well. In and out was difficult.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and responsive. Our room was beautiful and clean, but showing wear. We loved that this is a historical hotel and very close and walkable to all that we wanted to do in Niagra.

Great view from sky lounge of fireworks

Absolutely enjoyed our week's stay. Staff was special and always courteous and professional. Facility was art deco and loved the rooms. Breakfast was good with fresh cooked items and bottomless coffee.

The staff at The Giacomo were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel was quirky and comfortable, just in need of updating and some repair. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the water and cookies!

Very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was good. Very nice breakfast and the hotel bar was old but very cool.

The bad.... our room was awful. The air conditioner was mounted to the ceiling along with rusted pipes, and would randomly buzz super loud for 5 or so minutes at a time. It made for a rough nights sleep due to its sporadic and loud startling noise. There was a large blob of (im hoping food) splattered on the wall. The bathroom was dirty and had hair on the floors. The wallpaper was peeling from the walls, and the setup of furniture and how the doors swung made it feel clustered. To the hotel staffs credit, we did not complain, so we never gave them a chance to fix it. We just arent complainers. I feel like this was probably a really nice hotel at one time but felt run down and uncared for. Sadly that seems to be the theme of all the businesses in that area. Felt like the run down areas of Detroit. "The slums". Id recommend staying on the Canadian side of the Falls and just visiting the US side for a few hours.

My stay was wonderful! Everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind, well-prepared, and genuinely helpful. They made me feel welcomed and taken care of throughout my time there. It’s clear that they put a lot of thought into making the experience smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and attentive atmosphere.

Room was on the 14th floor, their old Hospitality suite. Large with a view of Falls and summer fireworks. Convenient walk to everything in Niagara Falls park, which is nice, but outside of about a four block radius, neighborhood is VERY sketchy. Staff is helpful and friendly, HOWEVER, the room was not super clean, there is NO room service at all, or laundry. When we specifically booked for those reasons. We asked the front desk and we were told that there are people that live in the buildings “condos” that can have laundry done every Wednesday, and if you were a long term guest MAYBE they could throw your in. We were there for a special celebration and wanted to order room service, we were told no room service at all. There is a bar downstairs open 5-10pm. No food or other options. Pictures of the rooms show. Show art deco furniture and curtains, and a pool table. We paid over $425 a night for a suite that had none of that either. Whirpool “jetted” tub was not working either. We confronted them about all the amenities that were listed on the website and they just smiled and shrugged their shoulders!?No compensation offered. Pretty unhappy. Breakfast and beds were good.

View from top is spectacular; parking gate is a little touchy at times

Awesome staff. Quick check in. Breakfast was good! Bartender was fantastic at the bar. Kept our bags after check out since our plane was leaving later. Overall fantastic stay!

It's a 100+ year old building, so don't expect much. There were loud water flowing sounds at night that woke us up. We thought we had a large leak in our bathroom. But the noise was elsewhere. The outside garbage trucks were making lots of noise at 5am. Again waking us. TV didn't work and found a large cockroach in the bathroom. On the good side the staff was friendly, helpful and great.

It was built in the 1920s and the room is very art deco. Interesting features resembling Mayan art in the lounge and even on some of the tiles of the building itself. Overall well kept but some furniture needing replacement.

Interesting hotel, especially Art deco design. Lighting in room was odd; the lamp on one side of the bed was too high to reach without standing up. There were, I think, 5 tall lamps scattered in the room. Also, the heating/AC system seemed impossible to shut off and gurgled a great deal. Finally, the bathroom floor was very slippery when wet and there should be additional grab bars. On the plus side, the bed was compfy, the room pretty quiet, the location superb, the breakfast above average and price was right.

The staff and hotel was beautiful

It was a very nice place to stay, parking was a bit of an issue due to larger vehicle and limited space. All in all a great experience

Super close to Niagara Falls State Park. Only 2 blocks away! Very convenient and staff was lovely.

We were a late Arrival at this hotel and the front desk staff were waiting for us and the bar staff (Felix) even stayed open so that we could have a drink. If I had any criticism of this hotel, it would be that the ceilings could do with a paint but the decoration on the whole is fantastic and in keeping with the property. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning on stopping on the US side for your visit.

Walkable to New York Niagara Falls / State Park, which was the main reason we booked at this hotel. The hotel looks added to the attraction. It has 19th or 18th floor penthouse floor where one could see a nice overview of the park and Niagara falls. Very nice indeed. Breakfast was good :)

We saw one of them with the feet on the breakfast table.

The staff was very friendly and willing to help with any issue. The room was clean and we had no problems with noise while there. I would recommend anyone to stay here. It was a pleasant experience.

Good location, good breakfast!

Beautiful condo style hotel. Breakfast was a little boring seing how it was the same eggs, waffles and link sausages everyday. We loved the 19th floor view of the American side of Niagara Falls and the Canadian skyline. Room was huge and bed was very comfortable.

Wonderful staff-very accommodating! And cool bar downstairs.

We had a wonderful week here. We enjoyed the view of the river and the view of the mist of Niagara Falls from our Suite. It was perfect for our family of 3. The music was playing in our room on arrival and was a romantic touch for my husband and me. The hotel suite was very spacious and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The breakfast was tasty and snacks provided were also a nice touch.

This was a very unique old building. The veiws from the top were great, staff was very helpful and our room was large! It is very close to everything so we were able to walk everywhere. I would recommend and would stay again!

Stayed here 2 years ago and it was wonderful. This time the woman at the front desk was surly. They no longer offer free breakfast roomservice. Breakfast was meager, 1 guy trying to do everything & Seating was insufficient. Not being kept up as it had been. It's still lovely but not sure it's worth the extra cost.
- 4/5
There was a really strong cologne/perfume/air freshener smell in the lobby each time we passed through. If it was meant to be an air freshener, it was very overpowering.
- 5/5
I loved the Art Deco building. The rooms were huge, wonderful high ceilings, and had a separate sitting area with its own tv, and a fireplace in the bedroom. Will definitely stay there again.

- The Giacomo has the best view of the Falls. It is the highest building located adjacent to the park on the US side. We brought a few drinks with us to the skyview lounge on the 19th floor and enjoyed the beautiful fireworks. - The location is very convenient. It is among a handful of hotels/inns in the area where everything is within walking distance. - We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The dining hall could get a bit congested during peak time, but the experience was certainly a plus to what had already been a positive experience. - All the staff members were friendly and courteous. Lenny (who I believe is the general manager?) went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had. Thank you! - All the restrooms--in our room, the bar, the skyview lounge--were extremely clean and well-maintained which is always a very important factor in my book. Overall, I would recommend this establishment and would stay here again if I am able visit again in the future.

No amenities. No restaurant or pool/hot tub
- 4/5
Downside: no onsite restaurant. Niagara Falls is hurting for nice eateries. Saving grace: Lewiston NY 9 miles north, great restaurants.
- 4/5
It looks like an old historic building. Very cool with wallpaper and old classy feel, but definitely rusty and old. The outside of the building is dead and boring… walking distance to visitor center and to the falls was perfect.
- 5/5
The property is well-maintained and offers all the amenities exactly as described. A comfortable and convenient experience overall — highly recommended

Nice historical hotel, bfast less desirable
