Reviews
Guests consistently praise the hotel's friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, and comfortable rooms, particularly the beds. The hotel's location is also frequently complimented for being within walking distance to Niagara Falls and other attractions. However, some guests have noted issues with noise, temperature control, and limited storage space in the rooms.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Delicious breakfast
- Noise issues in some rooms
- Temperature control issues in some rooms
- 5/5
The room was large and unique. The hotel had old worl charm, rather than the bland sameness of chain hotels.
- 4/5
Beautiful well kept property the only issue was the room was lacking proper storage, no accommodation to unpack and have your clothes in a drawer easily available. We had to go through our luggage everytime we were about to get dressed and go out. Also our room was close to the back/ main entrance to the property, so it got a bit noisy everytime the door open and closes.
- 5/5
This place was absolutely amazing and charming. The staff were fantastic, the rooms spacious and clean, the breakfast delicious, and the location perfect. I will definitely be booking this place again!!
- 5/5
This is the second time we have stayed here. It is spotless and all the staff are friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Nice breakfast menu, great service and lovely room!!!
- 5/5
Amazing staff, great breakfast and great location
- 5/5
So pretty once you are inside! Lovely rooms, great staff and delicious food. The bed was comfy too. 10 min walk to the falls
- 5/5
I am giving a 5+ for all the wonderful amenities in this bed and breakfast. Staff- wonderful; rooms-spotless; breakfast- delicious; decor- beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful time.
- 4/5
The bed and pillows were a little too firm for my preferences - and at breakfast time several mornings they seemed rather under-staffed. One morning there simply wasn't any open table for us despite coming down at the time per-decided the day before, so we had to go back to our room and wait a while before coming back down for breakfast. Seems like they could use an extra staff member in the mornings when they get busy.
- 5/5
Beautiful B&B in convenient location with wonderful breakfast options.
- 5/5
Beautiful B&B type hotel. Love the old-style architecture, and the homemade breakfasts were great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only minor thing was the hotel was not as conveniently located to WeGo stops as I had hoped, not bad, but a tad far after a long day of walking.
- 5/5
Beautiful boutique hotel. Room was lovely and spacious. There was no fridge in the room but, other than that, this place gets a huge two thumbs up from us!!!
- 3/5
Basement rooms very damp and musty.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Lovely staff and wonderful breakfast.
- 5/5
This property is conveniently located within walking distance to the falls, attractions and connecting Go bus. The Via Rail train and bus station are about20 minutes walk or a short taxi. The Niagara Grandview is a truly wonderful venue. The room is spacious and comfortable, a delicious breakfast is served in the dining room and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
- 4/5
Very nice place to stay. Clean. We had a good time. Breakfast pastries in the AM were amazing! Ice machine could use an upgrade since no mini fridge was in our room. Overall I recommend this place and would stay again.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel
- 5/5
Beautiful restored small boutique hotel. Very spacious and attractive room. Bed, pillows, and bathroom amenities were excellent. Fantastic shower and water pressure! Loved that a made to order breakfast was included, great danishes. Check-in person was very harried and could have been more customer friendly - especially about having to select breakfast choice and time NOW …but she got the job done. The grounds landscaping needs some TLC. Unfortunately we were only there for one night, and at a wedding for most of the time, so we had very limited time to enjoy the hotel but we would definitely return and stay for a bit longer.
- 5/5
Room was spacious, but the bed felt more like a double than a queen size and the mattress was too soft for us. The hotel is in a quiet area yet close enough to the falls area
- 5/5
Wonderful accommodations, beautiful venue!
- 5/5
Charming place to stay and the staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
The dining area for breakfast has a beautiful view and a lovely vibe. Had a great stay!
- 4/5
Breakfast was fantastic, made to order and our hostess and chef gave us their best! Thank you!
- 3/5
There is no management at this property and we were quite disappointed with the room and service. We went there to celebrate my wifes 50th birthday and even added this on the booking, however, still given a poor room in the basement.
- 4/5
Breakfast options limited and had to be ordered the night before . The food looked nice good but had issues ie raw onion in quiche or fridge cold berries in warm crepes Very off putting to receive a notice upon check in asking that we do not eat snacks in our own room .
- 5/5
Great experience at this location! Breakfast was great, service was excellent, nice place to stay!
- 5/5
This place is absolutely amazing! The room was big and bright and beautiful, and the whole inn itself is just amazing! We will be back for sure!
- 4/5
That said, I was in a room right by the main entrance and check-in counter, which made for a very noisy night. It was loud until about 1:30 a.m. as guests arrived, and the noise picked up early again with the breakfast crowd. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a room farther from the front. Still, everything else about the stay was so great, I wouldn’t hesitate to return (just in a quieter spot next time!).
- 5/5
Beautiful room with fantastic bathroom and Dyson hair dryer! Fabulous breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
10/10 recommended
- 3/5
the food and places, and location are all great. It’s just that our premium food got thrown out from refrigerator, which was sad.
- 5/5
Proximity from the falls, quiet, rustic, delicious breakfast, acces to dinning room for tea/coffee/water at anytime.
- 3/5
No sound proof
- 3/5
Room 304 is directly across from elevator which dings on every floor and can be heard day and night. Should have been a cheaper rate given the noise.
- 2/5
The room was clean and OK. We were in the garden room, so it had no ventilation, only a door which presented a security risk during the night. Had a long drive the next day, so went to bed at 10pm only to be woken up at 10.30 with the occupants above tromping around the room constantly. got back to sleep a couple of times but by midnight I had to ring reception to get them to quieten down so the noise stopped by 12.30am. There appears to be no soundproofing between the floors. Far better places to stay, breakfast was again just OK out of the 5 B&B's we stayed in on this trip this one is not to be recommended
- 3/5
No curtain on the tall big window in the room that face southeast, woke me up early during the longest day of the year.
- 4/5
It was very nice. Breakfast was great. No coffee pot in room or dresser to put your clothes. A little far from attractions. Bathroom was great and bed comfy.
- 5/5
Quaint and adorable hotel walking distance to the falls but far enough away to be in a quiet neighborhood. European vibe, amazing shower and hairdryer, fabulous breakfast (made to order) and comfortable beds. Will definitely be recommending to my family and friends and will definitely return!
- 4/5
I had a good experience in this property. Staff were very friendly and helpful, good service, good breakfast and very clean.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
The shower was amazing
- 5/5
The hotel is lovely and the room was nice and big and comfortable and clean. The bed was a bit soft, but otherwise I loved it. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and there was even stuff available from the morning of the day we checked in so that was a nice treat.
- 5/5
Absolutely picturesque historic place to stay. Lovely breakfast, beautiful rooms and a 10 minute walk to Niagara. Free parking on site...can't think of anything but praise.
- 5/5
The property is just beautiful. Staff was lovely. Breakfast was divine. Couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. Easy walk to the falls and other experiences but then retreat to peaceful elegance.
- 5/5
This home was built in the 1800's. It is a short walk to the Niagara Falls shops and other activities. The check-in process was great and the home is spectacular. While it was built in the 1800's the new owner has done a lot of work. The bathroom was amazing with high water pressure and a large shower. The common areas were lovely and the breakfast was so tasty and large. We ate breakfast and didn't eat again until dinner.
- 5/5
This place is amazing!! The room was soooo comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was divine!!
- 5/5
Loved the shower. Plenty of room. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was very accommodating and helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do.
- 5/5
It was great, stayed in the king penthouse. Clean, spacious. Great room
- 5/5
This property was beyond my expectations. The place is gorgeous with amazing breakfast. The staff are very friendly and great service. Our room had three balconies. Great views, and a short distance from the busy areas will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, welcoming, comfortable, wonderful breakfast, easy walking distance to the falls and all the attractions. Nothing not like about the hotel.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Pleasant staff. Wonderful breakfast.
- 4/5
Such a charming property and very helpful and sweet staff. No hussle and bustle like big hotels. Reminded me of old school air bnbs. It was calm and inviting and in a great location.
- 5/5
Very quaint and convenient place to stay. Everything was just perfect for us and the location is wonderful. Easy walk or drive to everything Niagara Falls related, Canadian or American. We did both both eadily i the same day. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are comfortable and the atmosphere is just perfect! Highly recommend a stay here.
- 5/5
The falls is within walking distance however that distance is a bit lengthy (over a mile). The floors are a bit creaky and the parking is limited, it seemed like we were always having to ask them where we could park when we got back. Over all I did really enjoy this place and was able to walk off all the crepes and eggs Benedict I had for breakfast.
- 5/5
Everyone was a delight to work with. Our room had a balcony facing the river which was wonderful.
- 5/5
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were homemade and delicious. There were hot beverages throughout the day. The beds were comfortable and shower pressure was perfect. It’s close to Niagara Falls but far enough away that you’re in nature’s beauty.
- 5/5
The property is very unique and well done. The location is great, and the breakfast is better yet!
- 3/5
Beautiful property. However, there aren't any dressers or luggage racks. The staff was not friendly at all.
- 4/5
Breakfast was amazing - many choices for the main dish which was delicious and beautifully garnished. Buffet was available all day with drinks and small snacks - great when you arrive after a long car trip. Room for 4 with lovely balcony was very clean and spacious, but lacking a desk and chairs for all, even though its size would easily accommodate it. Same with only 2 chairs on the balcony.
- 5/5
Away from the hubbub and with easy parking, but very walkable. Good breakfast.
- 4/5
Historic property, convenient to attractions and dining. Excellent breakfast including pastries prepared on site by the cook.
- 5/5
Fantastic in every way
- 4/5
Beautiful, well-kept rooms but needing Home itself and landscape TLC.
- 5/5
Adorable property. A lot of care and thought has been put into making sure you have a good stay.
- 5/5
Really nice boutique hotel. Very clean, room was great and breakfast was very good. It’s nice that it’s a couple of blocks from the bustle of casinos
- 5/5
For us this was a unique, but awesome place. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and the view was amazing.
- 5/5
The hotel is great, nice place and environment. The staff and food are awesome. Only thing is the parking space is too tight.
- 5/5
This property blew away my expectations! Such a gorgeous place with an amazing breakfast! I'll be choosing this establishment everytime I visit Canada!
- 5/5
Room was immaculate. Shower pressure was off the charts. Food was amazing. Staff couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. Highly recommend this gem.
- 5/5
This was our second stay at the Grandview and we hope to come back for many years to come. It’s a special place and we would encourage any visitors to the Niagara area to stay here.
- 5/5
Great B & B. Would recommend.
- 5/5
I will visit again.
- 5/5
A unique experience with a wonderful atmosphere. Would recommend to any couple looking for a quiet getaway. We will definitely go back!
- 5/5
Excellent property and location. Breakfast was great. Jan (sorry if I misspelled the name) was the highlight for us with the care she took and how thorough she was. Only thing to mention, to make the breakfast service run more efficiently, there needs to be at least 2 people on the floor. Having said that, Jan took care of everyone!
- 5/5
Amazing.
- 5/5
Some things we wished were better during our stay: our bed was creaky and seemed a little old, the air conditioner in our original room was broken and we were moved to a different room but our new room had a smaller washroom and no closet to hang our clothes, and we weren’t able to eat in our rooms and would not be able to access the lounge after 10pm. We look forward to staying here again for more than just a night. We didn’t have time to walk from the hotel to the falls (only 15 min!) but we’ll be sure to do that next time
- 2/5
Location was close to the falls. Our room was so hot we had to keep the door open to allow it to cool down. When we asked out to lower the temperature the woman at the desk did not know. The bed was the most uncomfortable old mattress, hard as a rock! The plus was the beautiful bathroom shower and the breakfast was charming and wonderful pastries
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and charming B&B. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Front desk staff was outstanding during check in. The room was so comfortable and the shower was a big plus. Very impressed! This will become my new go to place to stay when I travel to the Falls!
- 5/5
The people are amazing. Friendly, happy and efficient.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and great service.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel it was about 20 min walk along the river to falls but worth especially for delicious breakfast .
- 5/5
Will definitely stay there again, we cant wait.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
We would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
Victoria style
- 4/5
Great hotel, great food, the lady
- 5/5
Delicious breakfast and such kind staff.
- 5/5
Love the hotel! It's been renovated and the hotel looks new! Very clean and I really like the toilet! Clean and high water pressure. Mattress is to our liking too. The only thing I would suggest is for the room to have space to hang clothes in the room. The breakfast is delicious too! Very thoughtful and a hidden gem!
- 4/5
We stayed for one night, overall it was a good experience. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Also we loved the shower with the beautiful fixtures. It felt like being in our own. One little draw back was the bed was nosiy and mattress too soft. I tried to get a different room that evening but was told they were all the same, however I found out the morning we were checking out that they were not. Carmella showed us another room with a firmer mattress and this will certainly makes us come back again.
- 5/5
Lovely clean Inn.Would definitely return
- 5/5
We were planning a 5 days/nights stay. An unexpected weather storm limited our stay at 4 days/nights. We explain, the situation and management adjusted our stay and costs for 4. Very friendly and accommodating. "I'll be Back".
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious, with beautiful furniture and a great view. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. We found the location perfect for walking to the falls, as well as nearby restaurants.
- 5/5
We had an amazing stay from check-in to check out. Our breakfast was amazing checking in was easy and the lady behind the desk was very helpful and resourceful about the area we were visiting. Gave us lots of options on places to visit and explore will definitely stay when we’re in the area again.
- 5/5
Delicious and abundant breakfast offering. The dining area and lobby area are well appointed, sunny, comfortable and elegant. Our garden room was really a basement room (as per the elevator and chef) but it does have direct access to the outside via sliding glass door. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful! Our room had some water damage on the ceiling that was very noticeable and there were some crumbs on the dresser. There is no place to hang coats as there are no closets or wardrobe so hooks on walls or doors would help travelers during cooler months organize their outerwear. Overall, we enjoyed the boutique hotel ambiance and would stay again. I highly recommend!
- 5/5
A wonderful experience at Niagara Falls - Canada
- 1/5
If you check in and shes gonna be there you’re on the right side ! From nice welcoming up to room explanations is all promising. Now what i didn’t like is that they upgraded me to a nicer room. Now. I want to book more nights they refused to give me the same room at same price i paid. I really don’t get it. And i know the room was free and waiting. They just didn’t want to give me at the same price. Well. What a shame. Eventually i left to another place that welcomes guests that intend to stay few days more. Btw the breakfast was awful. Very limited choice. Vegetables wasn’t fresh. And the black girl in the morning. She’s awful. I wish she’ll learn how to respect more. For example i didn’t fill the breakfast choice on the paper they provide. So what she did is to stick it on my door. Can you believe it ?lol For the price they charge maybe send her to learn more manners. If a place doesn’t respect your business but greedy. Well. Better look for other ppl. For their disrespectful behavior but greedy i wont go back there neither send my friends.
- 5/5
People were very nice. Showers were hot (almost too hot). Every room had a balcony. Breakfast area is nice looking, everything is cook to order and you place the order the day before. Only a short walk away from nearest WEGO station as well as the rest of Niagara downtown, but far enough away from the noise.
- 3/5
the staff was not accomodating of any requests made and when one of them confirmed us late checkout the other one denied it without checking with her team. They seemed a bit rude towards our group considering we had 3 kids with us specially during breakfast, also they just added the extra person cost without letting us know
- 5/5
Beautiful historic building, charming room, with comfortable bed, large shower, balcony overlooking the niagara river.
- 5/5
The property was super clean and just very beautiful. This was our first stay ever at a bed and breakfast and it was a wonderful experience. Olivia at reception was very kind and gave recommendations out of the tourist area which were really great. The only issue was our rooms shower advertised body jets and it was not working but other than that the breakfast was really good. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.
- 5/5
We so enjoyed our stay! They were so pleasant and accomodating! The breakfast is amazing. Its close to the falls but far enough that you dont have all the traffic. The rooms are adorable. The whole place is! Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Nice hotel with free parking, walkable to the falls
- 5/5
Our room was beautiful. The free parking was great, we could come and go as we liked. Breakfast was wonderful.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Gracious check in. Attractive accommodations and area. Close to what we needed and Uber very handy. Breakfast was great! Plenty of pastries coffee, teas and fruits. Lovely dining room filled with windows. The eggs benedict, crepes and veggie omelette were delicious.
