Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the location and friendly staff, but expressing concerns about the outdated facilities and cleanliness. Many guests enjoy the proximity to attractions and the helpfulness of the staff, but find the hotel's condition and cleanliness to be lacking.
- Great location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Outdated facilities
- Cleanliness concerns
- 4/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. Some of the facilities felt a little outdated. Updating certain areas of the hotel would make the overall experience even better.
- 1.5/5
It was close to the bus station, and the attractions were within walking distance I didn’t like that the hotel felt old and had a moldy smell. The staff was not particularly pleasant, and overall I don’t think it was worth the money.

Das breakfaat. Its great. Buf rooms and nice team
- 4.5/5
Clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and very close to the main areas but far enough away that it’s quiet in the evening Nothing to dislike
- 2/5
The location Ant infested room. No upgrades since the 80s.
- 3.5/5
rooms did not have basic 2 bottles of water. I had buy from the vending machine at night..

Exceptional
- 5/5
Goo6 location walking distance to all attractions. Specious room with all the facilities.
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel are fantastic. Every employee seems to go the extra mile. The only negative thing I can say is I wish the loading and unloading area can get very crowded.
- 5/5
The place is in a great location. It's quiet and clean. staff are very helpful. Specifically Sue, they have an excellent breakfast for 15 bucks. Nice little swimming pool. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Everything was great.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 4/5
The room was spacious with a balcony, There was a kettle to make tea or coffee. Clifton Hill (entertainment area) is not far. There are neither shampoo nor shower gel dispensers in the shower albeit a small bar of soap and a small bottle of shampoo. Not a major issue but good to know.:)
- 4.5/5
The location was a welcome surprise as we initially had gone to the wrong hotel in the crowded/busy area! Once we got to the right place, terrific! Nice view, easy walk to the sights we were interested in, convenient access. Would have preferred free parking and free breakfast, but definitely not “deal breaker”.

room 211. nice and clean if rundown.
- 4/5
I really loved the vintage style of the hotel. The bed, pillows, and bedding were comfortable, and the room had everything needed for an amazing stay. However, I would like to suggest that the air conditioning unit needs maintenance, as it was quite loud. Thank you so much!
- 5/5
Staff is extremely kind
- 5/5
Great staff and good location even it was freezing out
- 5/5
All was very good
- 5/5
It was cold in the pool area
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Rooms are older but clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and easy to deal with. We always stay here when we come to the falls.
- 5/5
Convenient and affordable. Close to the falls and downtown entertainment. The rooms remind me of old vegas which I liked. The pool and hot tub were nice as well.
- 5/5
We absolutely love this hotel for our weekends away. No it is not brand spanking new, yes some things are worn out and need updating BUT the beds are comfy, rooms are clean, and the staff is great. Once we had a huge balcony room and it had rained, the maintenance man came up and swept off the balcony for us so we didnt have to sit in a puddle. Truly one of our fav hotels and just a hop skip n a jump to the casino. Enjoy!!
- 3/5
Room was clean. Staff was courteous. Parking was reasonable affordable. Good location. Doesn’t get higher rating due to a faulty toilet
- 5/5
The main reason we chose this hotel is because they have the rare heart jacuzzi tub with mirrors. It was our honeymoon trip so we had to get a little charm of the old "honeymoon capital" feeling. The room has been upgraded in some ways, but thankfully, a lot of details remain vintage and that is what we loved about it. After walking all day in the cold, it was nice to come back to a tub. The location was convenient as well, everything was great.
- 4/5
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are old but are kept well. The bed was quite comfortable. I enjoyed being able to see the river and the lights on the US side. It was quiet at night. I would definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
Felt rundown
- 4/5
Breakfast wasn't included. It should be as most hotels do.
- 2/5
The place is very old fashioned. Not even a smart tv
- 5/5
Spotless, amazing jacuzzi in the room & an extremely comfortable bed. Ammenties is a bonus, and its only a 15~ minute walk to Clifton Hill. Also the balcony view to the falls is decent, seeing it lite up at night from it was really nice.
- 3/5
The office was nice but just young foreign kids that could not answer any questions. The heat is set by the hotel and the rooms were very cold. They did offer us a small heater. Location was convenient
- 3/5
It was as clean as it could be, given the fact everything in there was 30 years old.
- 4/5
The staff was very nice. We had an issue with the heat they handled it quickly and very nice.
- 4/5
good for the price
- 5/5
Great for its price. Walkable distance to Niagara Falls - about 20-30 min. No more than that. Niagara in general is not a big place so you mostly can walk in the area unless you want to get to some further attractions. One day was enough to see everything!
- 5/5
Staff was nice. Super clean and beautiful
- 5/5
Balcony offered a nice view of the river and partially the falls
- 2/5
Doors don’t open or shut properly. Outside doors left unlocked all times. Parking lot was poorly lit and holes everywhere. Unsafe to walk in the dark.
- 5/5
Never had a balcony and parking was ok
- 4/5
Pretty great hotel to stay at for budget travelers, how ever the bathrooms in the rooms are a bit dirty. Great staff and comfy bed sheets
- 4/5
Visit was enjoyable. Would have preferred river view rather than the parking lot. Also heating system was off.
- 5/5
This place was a little farther down but still walkable. The best part was the bed. We slept like babies.
- 5/5
I love it and everything is walking distance
- 3/5
GOOD!
- 3/5
Staff is fabulous. I liked that the hotel was away from the noise. Very outdated
- 5/5
Overall great experience and value. Able to walk to the falls easily even with stroller. Older building but comfortable bed and friendly staff.
- 4/5
The hotel is ok. Breakfast was good and it was easy to park. Walking distance from all amenities.
- 4/5
good place
- 5/5
Amazing stay. Huge room. Excellent view
- 4/5
Really clean and friendly hotel.good for the week we stayed there. The only issue we had was that the shower and the bath did not work at all .
- 2/5
View was amazing. However, not worth the hassle we had. Show up on the 12th. Wake up the 13th to bags being ripped open in the hall it was 815am. I messaged down to ask why there was such commotion, was greeted with, "good morning to you too"...rude much? You're in the service industry, dont make a rule thay everyone has to be quiet in the hotel from 9 to 9 and exclude your staff from those rules, we paid to be here. Noy long after this the power goes out. No time for a shower or anything. The power didnt come back till 2 in the afternoon. Apparently from what some of the staff said, when power goes out. It always seems to be on that block..good to know. Upon trying to reach out to the Manager once we got home to see if we could get some sort of compensation, we are either being ignored, because i left a kind voicemail 2 days ago, or the manager has a lot of refunds to process and is super busy. We would like our money back for the Saturday stay...thats the least they could do.
- 3/5
It was a nice cheaper option to still be by the water, without paying as much to stay further up
- 4/5
Old place. Needs updating. I am small person. 4’10. 120lbs. Bathroom and shower stall so small, it was hard for me to fit in and take a shower. Staff good, helpful. Location good, walking distance to falls and Clifton Hills. I think because off season restaurant not open, only breakfast. Stayed 9/8-9/11.
- 3/5
Somehow outdated.
- 5/5
Excellent access to everything.

Room was perfect for 5 people, a little outdated but still perfect for the one night stay we needed. Very affordable and great stay. Very comfortable and easy. Would stay again.
- 5/5
The hot tub was very clean
- 5/5
Pool, clean rooms, friendly staff, love the buffet breakfast (extra charge)
- 3/5
The hotel itself was great. My car was broken into over night. Desk clerk said mine was the 5th in the past few nights. She said the manager would file a police report and contact me.
- 5/5
Excellent stay, close to American and Canada border and you can walk across the bridge. Great place if you want to take the boat ride, we had amazing time
- 5/5
She was lovely.
- 4/5
Lovely view and location
- 3/5
The hotel and rooms haven't been renovated for a long time... Not necessarily dirty but nothing close to 4*. Very low price, and we were looking for 3 queen bed which were very confortable, also we had a huge balcony with a nice view on rainbow bridge and could see the falls far away. Close to all attraction and restaurants. If looking for a cheap deal, with 3 beds walking distance from everything and not looking for a luxury getaway... It's perfect 😅
- 5/5
It was a great experience.
- 4/5
Great balcony and view, easily walkable to all the attractions.
- 2/5
The room was clean and neat.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the huge room with balcony, outdated but great value
- 4/5
Nice view on balcony
- 4/5
The hotel has a real '70s' feel to it which for the single night we stayed was quite fun, but think for longer stays might have got a bit grating. Room was clean, with ample and cheap car parking. You're a 10/15 minute walk from the falls, and with a balcony room. Can see the American falls, albeit at a an angle and with the rainbow bridge slightly blocking your view in between
- 4/5
The only problem was the A/C, too much noise.
- 3/5
Staff were nice, but hotel needs to be updated
- 4/5
Nice room
- 5/5
We loved the older style of the hotel. The view from our riverside balcony was amazing! The pool area with hot tub & sauna was really nice. The upper patking lot was easy parking, quiet, and had plenty of room. The fallsview trail is right out front and clifton hill is 2 blocks away, great falls views. Everywhere we went felt safe. Will be back!
- 5/5
Stayed at this hotel before, its a good go to hotel for the area that its in you can walk to everything. The room was clean and comfortable staff were friendly and approachable. We would definetly stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to visit Niagara Falls Thank you! :)
- 4/5
I like because it's close to the falls but the room doesn't have views thank you
- 4/5
Well located near the Falls but without all the fuzz. Comfy bed.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the view from balcony, being on the top floor, no noise from above.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, hotel close to Clifton hill, front desk staff very courteous. The only thing that annoyed me was that we had a check out time of 11am and the cleaner knocked on our door at 9:30am to ask us when our check out was, when she should have contacted the front desk. So much for enjoying a little sleep in time!
- 4/5
Hotel was fine, dated but functional and has an element of charm. One thing that needs to be improved is the WiFi, it was awfully slow to the point of being unusable.
- 5/5
None
- 4/5
If you research the property, you already know it’s going to be dated in the rooms. The rooms were clean and totally comfortable, you really are not there for the designer room. If you are over 6 feet, the shower head might not be tall enough lol apparently they are slowly renovating rooms. The staff were efficient and very professional. The balcony is amazing as is the view! Yoga every morning on a spacious balcony with the Niagara River as your backdrop is pretty sweet!
- 4/5
There is so clean and quiet that reception and hous
- 4/5
It had a calm atmosphere, far from noises.
- 3/5
Outdated property.
- 3/5
The entire hotel is very outdated
- 2/5
The staff was doing their best but this property is decapitated and needing more than just freshening up. Location is excellent. The price is great for where it is so the poor condition of the facility is not unexpected. Would stay again, just don't go expecting something good, it's a dry place to sleep. Breakfast, while not included, was great.
- 4/5
Accessible to all tourist attractions and restaurants
- 5/5
The shower in our room did not work properly
- 5/5
Best hotel i have stayed in while in Niagara Falls.... bed was absolutely comfortable.... great location as its close to everything
- 5/5
Rooms were clean. The bathrooms were clean but dates.
- 3/5
The beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is good.
- 2/5
I honestly didnt like much about this hotel
- 3/5
Staff friendly an accommodating. Pool need upgrade and deeper cleaning. Towels very rough. Bed comfortable.
- 4/5
Good location.
- 5/5
..
- 4/5
Needs an update
- 5/5
This is such a perfect hotel for people who would visit Niagara Falls, don't hesitate booking this hotel. Kudos to the Filipinas working at the reception you can tell that they enjoy working there.
- 4/5
Close by to the falls and bed was comfortable
- 3/5
I loved the staff they were super friendly and helpful but our ac was leaking, a weird black splatter stain on the mirror, along with the patio door/window does not have a lock or screen on it makes me feel a little unsafe considering we’re on the first floor facing the road. Anyone could walk up and come inside.
- 4/5
I like the location & the balcony was really nice to have this time around. I usually am on the 1st floor
- 2/5
The bathroom amenities were minimal to the point of being inadequate: just one tiny bar of soap and a single 2-inch shampoo bottle provided at check-in for a family of four. When we requested additional toiletries, the front desk staff were curt and unaccommodating. The in-room phone connected to the front desk, but staff later claimed no calls had been received, forcing us to go in person to request maintenance. Overall, this hotel offers poor value for the price. I would recommend spending a bit more for a better-maintained, more comfortable property.
- 4/5
The property was very convenient to the falls and an easy walk. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had parking on site. The property was dated however, the beds were very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure .The air condition worked well, however, was very noisy. The Internet worked well. I would definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
It was a decent enough stay. I feel the maintenance and look of the building interior and exterior could be improved because it looked like it hadn't been worked on it a long while. The walls were kind of thin as well because I could hear the people next door on either side pretty well and I could hear the water running while they filled up the hot tub.
- 5/5
Excellent view
- 5/5
A good idea would be to build a luggage storage area for people who need their luggage to stay there while walking around
- 1/5
We don’t like this property
- 4/5
Good location
- 2/5
Also, we didn’t find the staff to be friendly. We knew going in that this was not a Sheraton, Embassy Suites, or the Hilton, but didn’t expect it to be this terrible.
- 4/5
We visited last year and this year but this year the wifi connected didn't nice. Other parts was good.
- 5/5
Great location for touring the Falls. Lovely room with 3 double beds and nice indoor pool
- 5/5
Value for money is there
- 4/5
Would be better if have microwaves at the hotel
- 4/5
The buffet was actually pretty good!!
- 4/5
Great location
- 4/5
Very quiet
- 2/5
The room smelled horrible. The room had stained walls and dingy paint. Parking costs 16.95 Canadian a day. I would try and find something nicer. It’s too expensive for the condition of the property.
- 5/5
Only negative is that overall the hotel needs to be modernized. Great value and location. We stayed for 6 nights and was completely pleased..
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
Nice place.
- 4/5
Close to clifton hill and falls cruise. Bed was comfy. Food i found was okay but something that was passable.
- 5/5
Great location, clean and staff very friendly.
- 2/5
Area is quiet and nice for walking along the river.
- 1/5
The set up is inconvienient
- 1/5
I was charged for parking after booking the stay, and the air conditioner was noisy that we could not stay the next night.
- 5/5
Good location and friendly staff. Having the cafeteria open for breakfast a little earlier would have been more convenient. 😊
- 4/5
Less than 10 minute walk from Rainbow Bridge. We did our whole stay without a car and wanted something near the bridge. We were out and about most of the day and didn’t need a large room. Recommend the breakfast! It is 16 CAD plus tax but worth it; it is very hard to find breakfast before 9am and even then few places open. Beds comfortable; room clean.
- 3/5
Last Hotel Near Falls.
- 1/5
Lots of water damage, smelly room
- 3/5
Strong cleaning unpleasant odour bad room location facing back parking area NO FALLS VIEW
- 3/5
Nothing unique. Parking was very awkward lot.
- 3/5
Place needs updating
- 3/5
It was not a great hotel for me staff is not friendly
- 1/5
Within the first 20 minutes of getting their a piece ofnthe ceiling fell down and hit me in the head. Bathroom tub was broken and toilet non stop running. They refused to do anything about it then offered me a small discount on 1 night of my stay which never came
- 1/5
Air condition blower sound was very loud
- 4/5
Great location. Staff was friendly-ish.
- 4/5
The property was nice. The furniture in the room was very nice and in good condition. The only issue we had was that the room door’s electronic key pad didn’t work when we returned to the hotel and I had to get new key cards. The onsite restaurant serves a decent breakfast for a fee. Otherwise we were satisfied with the hotel. It was in a convenient location.
- 5/5
Everyone from the front desk clerks, to the hotel restaurant staff to the Manager were great and made us feel 150% welcome (and enjoyed my sense of humor)!
- 3/5
Just ok not that spectacular
- 3/5
Pretty close to the attractions. Staff need to be more friendly. Perhaps include microwave and conditioner.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and staff was amazing
