It’s was just ok for one night

Needs some normal maintenance. Light bulb and heat lamp dial were missing in my room and shampoo bottle was almost empty.

Absolutely not clean or taken care of. Will not be staying at another comfort suites.

No soap for shower. Couldn’t use the dispensers . Sadly the light in bathroom kept going out.

The room was clean, the staff I encountered were friendly. I was only there for a quick 8 hours to sleep.

Everything about this hotel was just okay. The property was in an okay area. The cleanliness was just okay, as a few items were found throughout my stay, which indicated that the room was not cleaned properly. The amenities were not all available, which was told at check-in. That would’ve been helpful to know before booking. A sign stating “we are not responsible for theft of materials or vehicles” right outside the hotel does not make you feel safe. Finally, breakfast was also just okay. Other than those things, the stay was alright. Comfortable bed. Plenty towels. Overall, an okay experience.

It was close to restaurants The property needs a deep cleaning. Also, I was willing to pay more for a swimming pool, but it was closed by the Health Department. That did not fare well and added to overall experience. The charge for the hotel was outrageous especially when the place we stayed in Chattanooga TN was a fantastic experience for $100 less for the night.

The hotel was quiet. The room had plenty of space and was good for doing work. The bed was a bit lumpy and not all that comfortable.

We had a handicapped accessable room and the shower did not work properly. The hand held spray did not work. I told the front desk and they had a repairman come and fix it the next day. It then worked but it leaked horribly. The staff was good to get someone to look at it but the repairman did a less than good job.

The pool was closed and my key wouldn’t unlock the exercise room even after I asked the front desk for help. The breakfast was good but on Saturday they ran out of food early. The hotel was clean but dated. I wouldn’t book this hotel again unless we didn’t have other options.

Cheap It was not cleaned well at all! Had other peoples trash in the bin disinfectant wipes under the bathroom sink wrapped around a pipe. And more on top of a wooden closet like they didn't finish cleaning it and left it up there. There was cheese balls under the beds and the bathroom door was really warn with paint chips and discoloration, like they never wiped but down. A lot of the furniture has scuffs. Also found a random red pill near the mini fridge. Also the pool was down and on the door there was a paper saying it was down for poor maintenance.

I have faced couple of issues - Room lock not working properly, Need to spend lot of time to open the door with access card. - Bed was Noisy and not comfortable even sofa not comfortable - AC not good to maintain the temperature Apart from above Staff very good and remaining good

Problem is pool not working, got closed by the State as of middle of March. Doesn’t look like hotel is very urgently working to get part so pool can pass and be useable again. Fitness room was basic but everything worked. Cleaning staff will clean room and empty garbage whenever you request it, as well as clean rest of your room.

Took 3 trips to gather a pillow . Blanket and sheets. No apology. No acknowledgment either . Room was very dirty and the pool was closed due to Illinois health department orders

Room was musty, shower was old and had no hot water. Pool was shut down by the health department. The safety bar on the door was broken. Huge gap under the door. Only thing that was “clean” was the bed and the toilet. Severely outdated old hotel that needs some assistance. I ended up leaving after a few hours..

We arrived at around 1:30 AM and it was nice when we got there. The staff was pleasant. The breakfast area was well stocked and the food was good.

There was ants in the bathroom and small hairs in the shower that were visible upon opening curtain, showing it was not even rinsed after the previous occupants. The room also smelled smokey-terrible. The pool was shut down and we found out when we got there and were asked if we wanted to cancel our stay, but we needed the room for the night.

Heat issue in the room

First shift staff never answers the phone. We called several times on the morning of check in and the phone just rang several times. The next morning when we were there, the receptionist was on personal calls many different times.

My initial room had remnants of a bed bug infestation. I had to be moved to another room

I called the front desk and reported water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom around 6am. There was a large puddle forming across the floor. I was told maintenance would stop by when they got in but I asked for another room to continue sleeping and be able to get ready to leave later in the morning. She replied “ I’ll try” after a long awkward silence I asked if she was still trying and was there a room for me. I was told to go to the front desk to pick up the key and then she hung up. I packed up my stuff, when to the front desk and was handed a key to another room. No sorry for the inconvenience, no thanks for letting us know, and no sense of customer service skills.

The bathroom door was really dirty. The shower curtain didn’t go to the floor for all the water came out on the floor not nice.

Room smelled of mildew/ sitting water. Grout in the bathroom was disgusting, hairs on our sheets. Pool was open but definitely not well taken care of.

This is a last resort stay (which I was unaware of). The bathroom didnt look clean. The towels and feel clean. I used one of my shirts to dry off after my shower. The smell of funk being covered up with some kind of cleaning agent was so bad on the second floor (like I couldnt stop coughing and gagging) that I immediately requested to be placed on the first floor (after having to literally plea with the front door staff member). This was after a drive from FL to IL. If you can afford it, go elsewhere.

The toilet must of flooded before we got there. The carpet was sopping wet and we had to use all of our towels. It smelled very musky and even though it was non-smoking, it reeked of smoke. Also all small items are not updated or fixed. Sink leaked, little water pressure, blinds don’t shut all the way. Pretty gross!

Dirty carpets/musty smell in the rooms. All the doors to the rooms in the hallways look beaten and destroyed. I had asked when I checked in for a late checkout which was granted till noon. Then I got a call that I needed to leave immediately at 11am. Poor service and there’s so many better places to stay in the area. Choice hotels are always a letdown….

Bathroom was dirty, and bathroom door did not latch. Cover sheet had stains all over, as well as a dark brown nasty spot on the curtains. Bed was not comfortable. Front desk lady was not pleasant, and makes it obvious she does not like her job.

The building is very old, which is obvious in the rooms. The room we were in had at some point in its life been a smoking room and it smelled. Pool was closed. However, bed was comfy, air worked great, water pressure was good, breakfast room had decent coffee. Don’t know if I would stay again because of the smell but it was cheap therefore, three stars.

It just really needs cleaning, bathrooms doors very dirty, smell in room is awful. Some outlets work some doesn’t. Furniture is damaged badly. I normally don’t leave a review but maybe things will get better. Pool doesn’t work and need to be repaired and cleaned.

Stayed for three nights (Wednesday–Saturday) for a business trip and all three nights there were parties and loud noises from the pool and down the hall until almost midnight (apparently locals use this hotel to party). Room was clean, just a bit tired (some cracks above windows and a broken cover on the AC unit. Breakfast had scrambled eggs and sausages, but no potatoes. Instant oatmeal, yoghurt, a cereal selection, basic bagged bagels, English muffins, and individually packed sweet (vending machine) muffins. Hot coffee, but no hot water for tea. Will not be returning even if I am in town again.

The staff was wonderful, but the building is old and in need of some serious upgrades. The grout in the bathroom needs some serious attention, the showers are very old and need repairs. The pool heater didn't work so it was freezing.

The beds need to be replaced. They were lumpy. The outlets in the bathroom did not work. The place was clean but needs some TLC. The furniture had scratches on it and need some care. Staff was pleasant.

The room was clean enough, but banged up and in poor condition. All the doors I walked past on floor 1’s doors were banged up. Tattered curtains, peeling paint exposing rust on the bathroom door frame, looked like water damage to the bottom of the bathroom door. Absolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We usually stay at Comfort Inn & Suites and recommend them, but we will not recommend this hotel. If we weren’t exhausted trees from our 12 hour drive, we would have found another hotel.

There wasn’t anyone at the front desk when I arrived. I waited for a while & shouted hello with no success. There should be a bell, but there wasn’t. I had to call the hotel for Kim to come out. She had an ear piece in so that’s why she couldn’t hear me. She wasn’t too pleasant either.

Room was spacious but a bit dinged up. Lots of dings on the walls and furniture. Found really stinky food in the fridge.

A great price for a very decent and comfortable stay. Check-in was easy and the desk clerk was very friendly. The room was spacious. The beds were clean and comfortable. Clean bathroom, although it could have used some maintenance touch-ups. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but ample and good. We found a couple of small items left by the previous guests, so cleaning could be a little more thorough. No restaurants or stores within walking distance, but a 5-10 minute drive will get you to lots of options. Overall, a very pleasant experience for this hotel caliber.

The pool was VERY cold for being a heated pool. There was numerous hairballs in the pool. We left trash out by our door for pick up but was never picked up even when we left (2 night stay). The bedsheets did not fit the king size bed and we always woke up with the fitted sheet off. Overall it was not a good hotel experience and would not recommend this property,

Easy access to the freeway.

Whole place looked like it needed to be updated. Furniture in both lobby and room was damaged with wear and tear. Staff was anything but friendly; also inadequate for handling a busy hotel on major event weekend in Normal. Wanted a cup of decaf coffee in breakfast room and it was not even luke warm--cold as matter of face. Only one room key worked even after we went back to lobby to get them reset after checking in. I could go on with several other things but think this gets the point.

I had to wait 25 minutes at the check in desk before a staff member came to help me. One of the lights in the bathroom did not work, the water from the bathtub faucet squirted out the side onto the floor. I also found a pair of socks and lotion bottle by the headboard when I pulled the mattress back to check for bedbugs. I usually do not write reviews but I was not happy with this hotel.

The personnel was nice

They let someone check into my room (supposedly with an ID) using my credit card I reserved with and then when I arrived at 9pm I was told my room (2Q NS) was no longer available and I had to take a K Smoking room. I was up half the night with my asthma and had to share a bed with my son. When I tried to find out what happened (when I realized I had 2 rooms charged), they claim someone checked into my reserved room that afternoon but seem unable to explain how that could have happened when they assure me they always ask for ID. Now I am worried this mystery other person has access to my credit card. Very sketchy! And now they won't call back with any resolution. Will not stay here again that is for sure!

The room we had smelled very stale and musty. The room was scuffed up on the walls and furniture. Everything looked very used. The hotel also seemed to be located in an unsafe area. For the most part it was clean and breakfast was good. However, I would not stay here again.

The room was super nice and clean and offered many towels too!! I left my IPad there and two people that I spoke to about it were SO KIND!!! I’m so appreciative of their help—so grateful. My only suggestion is to heat the pool it was super cold and the metal steps to get in and out are crooked and feel unsafe. Thank you again for all your help!!!

The pool was cloudy and our room was dirty. The walls were dirty and the room smelled weird.

Only complaint we had was kids running up and down the halls after 10:00. Parents were loud … must have had a couple rooms next to each other. They went back and forth, doors slamming. Frustrating when you are trying to sleep.

Property was close to venue we needed to attend. Lots of food businesses and stores such as Walmart and Target. Not a lot of things to do in the area unless you just want to eat and drink. Hotel pool was small and cloudy-was not something I would swim in. Our fridge had left over food from previous people who stayed. (Gross). The pillows were so uncomfortable. Hotel room temperature was so uneven got extremely hot even with windows opened…it was 56 degrees outside. Room temp was set at the lowest It could go. We were sweating. Breakfast was not top notch. It was ok but I expected something more continental. Would I choose this hotel again? Prob not. Don’t let the previous reviews fool you and mislead you like it did for us.

The bed spread smelled dirty. The room was super hot even turning on the AC didnt help. We asked for towels and were told they would bring them later but never got them. The front office help were not very friendly.
