Nice being close to shopping but they could definitely improve there idea of cleanliness the hall ways smell like BO there bathroom was not very clean, never had a bathmat in any place I stay before so that gross me out

If i couldve left, i wouldve… unfortunately, it was a last minute option, with several events booking up all of the other reasonably priced options in the area.

I love how great the staff are, room was very clean and cozy, walking distance to collage hills shopping center . Very quiet and overall a pleasant stay! No complaints everything was fantastic

No ice bucket in room and no manager at front desk when I tried to get a bucket of ice.

The halls reeked of body odor, and our room at least did not, but the bathroom was disgusting. I’m not even a clean freak, and it bothered me to where I wouldn’t walk barefoot. Hair all over the floor and something that looked like melted chocolate all over the hair dryer. They clearly wiped down the sink and toilet and that was all. The linens were clean, if not we would have left, even though we were only there 10 hours. Will never go back, and this makes me never want to stay in a super 8 again. I obviously know it’s not a high end place, and that’s totally fine, but this was horrible.

Reserved a king room and got a queen size bed on a king size frame. I could seen through the frame and it was filthy underneath. There were three different kind of bugs I encountered. Blankets had stains on them, microwave was dirty, they don’t clean under or behind fridge (one place I found a bug)

It’s a cheap little hotel close to everything and served my basic needs just fine

All the basics were covered. Property was clean and uncluttered, room was clean and had all necessities. Check in went smoothly. The heater/air unit in the room was a bit noisy and cycled very often.

•carpeted stairs so soiled one of my shoes literally stuck to a stair & my foot pulled out •we had a king bed room - the room was absolutely huge (good) but was not clean, modern or maintained (bad)… •hair on the bottom sheet of the made bed •yellow, brown & reddish stains on ALL of the linens (sheets, pillowcases, washcloths, hand towels, bath towels) •mold under the shower mat on the tub floor •hair clippings between the bathroom mirror & the faucet •right arm of the couch was extremely thin, worn & torn •at least one of the outlets on the large power strip by the TV did not work (no biggie to me but it may be a red flag for a potential short, failure &/or fire •the door between this room & the next was locked but just didn’t look or feel like it was closed tightly •hair found on most of the towels (I’m not sure if this is a cleanliness & sanitation issue or possibly the housekeeping dryer vent/lint trap just needs cleaned or what, but someone else’s visible hair being on my & my family’s hotel bedding & towels is disgusting) •the front desk/lobby & the 1st flight of stairs areas had an extremely bad odor TBH, despite this list being lengthy, there’s nothing here that couldn’t easily be corrected with basic cleaning standards & regular R&M/repairs & maintenance (for both existing issues & to stay on top of preventative maintenance). I know staffing issues exist everywhere but guests deserve clean facilities & linens.

The sheets were clean, but that was it. I’ve never seen a bath tub that dirty before. There was blood and old food on the walls. There was a clipped toenail on the floor, along with an incredible amount of crumbs and dirt. The remote was caked with something sticky, but it didn’t matter because it didn’t work. The mirror was cracked. I wish I could submit a picture so you could see the tub! The man running the front desk was friendly. The last odd thing, the hotel randomly cancelled our reservation a couple of days before, but Expedia still showed our reservation was active. Thankfully when we got there, they had a room available because everything in town was sold out due to ISU Family weekend. I would definitely not recommend staying here.

Stayed at another Super 8 it was vintage and well taken care of .Sadly this one was not neglected and not taken care of.

Room was dirty. Found a fast food box with half eaten food in my microwave. Shower curtain had black mold on it. Toilet was comically small and uncomfortable with a broken seat. Door to hallway did not block noise and had a large gap underneath.

A project was going on pounding etc My wake up time was 4:30. Am No sleep 8:00 pm to 10:00 I finally call front deck. Mr?? Said he Will go up tell people to stop Work very well. Thanks to front desk

Blankets had stains

Cockroach greeted us when we came into room. Coverlet was clearly quite stained with who knows what. One of the towels in bathroom was dirty (like dark dirty) when we entered. Lots of noise from other guests staying in hotel but partying outside. Would have been nice to have a/c on to cool the room down on this day of 103 deg heat index. First and last time to stay here for us.

Room was dirty. Entire deck of cards and food were under the bed. Bedding was stained and dirty. Moldy shower curtain. Didn’t want to give us towels for a 4 day stay. Hallways smelled awful.

Upon entering my room I noticed that the bathroom is not cleaned there are someone else's pubic hair on my towels and in the tub. The air conditioner has no screen on it. It look like blood was spattered on the wall. I felt itchy while sitting on the bed. And on top of that the TV did not work. When I called downstairs from my personal phone because the room did not have a phone, the lady told me that she was new and did not know how to fix the issue. I asked for a new room and she said no until I contacted Expedia and ask for a refund. Then magically she had other rooms available. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The property was in an ideal location and had a 4.8 star revuew at the time of booking. I was glad it was only for one night.

There was no coffee maker in the room but there were cups! Bath mat had stains. The toilet took over 5 minutes to fill between flushes. There was no light on one of the night stands. We stayed at a Day's Inn in Bloomington on the way to our destination which was less than adequate. We've stayed in Super 8's before so we decided to try this Super 8 on our return trip. It was WORSE than the Day's Inn and cost $10 more per night.

No smoking policy, yet the whole third floor reeked of marijuana, windows were broken, bed did not fit bed frame, no elevator, hallway stairwell stunk so bad, they changed my room to the first floor, and that room was a handicap room. The tub had mildew and mold in it. The handles had rust all over them. The floor had hair everywhere. The shower had a sprayer that barely worked. The bed was like a prison mattress and the chair had stains all over it.

Very dated. Bloody handprints on bathroom wall by mirror. Doors in poor condition. Needs lots of upgrades.

This is the first truly negative review I have ever written. I would never come back here again. First off, there was almost never anyone at the front desk and when I tried to call, no one answered. Also, I came into my room on the second day and it wasn't cleaned. I called and actually got someone to pick up and they told me they only clean every 3 days. Unacceptable. I had booked a second room for my daughter-in-law's mother and she left shortly after she checked in because the place was not clean and it smelled.

Igor room 110, the TV had issues, I changed room to 301, the mattress was bigger than the sprinboox. Also at the website says you are offering a light free breakfast, all that I was offered was coffee and tea. This is not a light breakfast, I constantly go to Bloomington and I stay at differents hotels and motels. They are offering light breakfast, but it's not the same as you guys offer. Don't give a wrong information on your website if you are not give what you said

At 12:35 AM i was awaken by someone yelling, you ciuld hear them moving something in the room, sliding the window open several times, i finally got up at 3:50 AM and left. I can't belive someone with the hotel didnt hear it all!

Our room was disgusting. The bed was a queen not a king. Their description on the internet said coffee machines in room and a restaurant. Nope. Seemed more like an apartment building. Loud tvs, and kids. The free light breakfast was 2 flavors of juice that’s it. The chair in our room was so disgusting and is clawed up by a cat. The floor was still sticky and the bed coverlet stunk like urine. We didn’t arrive til 1130p at night and had a dog otherwise I would’ve left. The front desk lady was nice enough but offered no remedy and just stared when I told her the room was not clean. The owners obviously have no pride in their business and don’t care about return customers.

At check in never was welcomed. Also no elevator and they have 3 floors. Offered no help. Got into the room and the toilet is leaking. Couldn’t fix it and instead of a discount offered us a new room but didn’t offer to help take our things to the new room. The WHOLE place smelled like weed, cigarettes, old food, & just dirty.

Got to the hotel, checked in, got our room. Go to it and there’s a staff person inside, not really cleaning it, just kind of sitting there. Got switched to a new room. The chairs looked like they’d be heavily used for “adult activity” and there was writing all over the wall behind the bed. The toilet would randomly leak out of the tank in the back and we’d walk in to an inch of water on the floor. We’d use our dirty, stained, towels to dry it, then it would just get wet again. Lights are weird so you can only watch tv and charge electronics if the lights have power.

Room key was weird, missing lamp, switch by the door was in control of the bedside lamp…so when switch was turned off, my phone failed to charge overnight. Pest issue, poor excuse for a “continental breakfast”. Coffee, apple and packaged pastry. Room smelled. Would not stay here again

The bathroom was gross. The sink looked like falling off the wall. The outlets didn’t work to charge phones. No in room coffee maker but had cups. No comforter just a blanket. All around gross

It was family weekend at my daughter’s college and all the hotels in the immediate area had been sold out for months. Super 8 was one of the last hotels in the area with available rooms. The hotel is in desperate need of updating. There is an unclean smell throughout the hotel. The bathroom was disgusting. There was hair on the majority of the towels. The plastic bathtub surround was peeling, cracked, and stained. There was mold and mildew. We did not use the shower during our stay. The toilet would not flush consistently. The lamp shades were stained as well as the bed sheets. We read the reviews ahead of time and had been warned of what to expect. We were hoping for the best, however it was exactly as bad as the other reviews stated. Book somewhere else.

On the plus side, the AC worked, the beds were not horrible and we only had to stay 1 night. The lamp shades were disgusting, there were stains on the wall and ceiling. The bathroom was DISGUSTING. The housekeeping team should be embarrassed. There was hair in the bathtub when we got to the room. The bathtub was balck, it looked like it had not been cleaned for a very long time. A lot of Mr Clean Magic Erasers would have made a tremendous difference. The sink didnt have a stopper and it was kind of gross. There were others in the hotel that had the same comments. One room had cockroaches which luckily we did not have.

They are very friendly and it is not the properties fault but each time I have stayed there, there have been very loud guests staying near my room or even just on the same floor, especially the third floor. If I am going to stay there again if I am not given a room on the first floor, I will not check in!

The electricity was out when i tried to check in, and apparently had been out for hours. Hotel staff were unsure when it was gonna be up and running again. I had to find another hotel.

The light bulbs were out, the power was out for few hrs, the TV didn’t work after power went out, also few outlets were not working nor was the ph in room either.

I should have read reviews before booking . It was a last minute booking. Same complaints ONE this not comparable to the Wyndham just because you may have colors or decor shame on the owners! The cleanliness disgusting the stair to the walls need a cleaning and fresh paint. The room being air freshener ! Smell in the hall. Bedding we slept on top of it. From the old stains to the bathroom this hotel needs to be revamped!

The property is extremely outdated. I had booked a suite which looked nothing like a suite, and it did not have the amenities that are sweet house. The TV did not work. The room was extremely dirty and outdated, the walls are paper thin because I could clearly hear the conversation from the people next-door, The staff was not friendly and I ended up leaving a day early because of all of this.

Surprising nice for a Super 8.

Signage stating No Smoking & Fines charged if Smoking in Room. The room's odor of cigarette smoke literally hit us in the face when we stepped inside. Had to open the window & turn the air on high to dissipate the smell. Upon leaving the next day our clothes still had stench of cigarette smoke.

The guy behind the counter was nice and seemed to be a good guy. The bathroom is our unit had a cracked sink, the toilet seat was barely attached, the floor was sticky and the little bug walking around sure looked like a cockroach.it was gross.

The bathroom was not cleaned. There were food particles stuck to the sink and stains dripping down the wall. Really gross. My friends room had the sink stopped up and it was never fixed.

Our toilet seat was loose so I am afraid I might fall. Our sink was clogged. We went to the desk and he gave us a plunger to try to fix it ourselves. When we went back to say we couldn’t get it unplugged, he said there were no other rooms to transfer us to. So, all evening/night we had to use the shower faucet to wash our hands after using the bathroom and to brush our teeth. Also, I’m not sure what is used to clean the bathroom floor, but it very sticky to walk on. I had to wear shoes or socks to go in there.

The entire place smelled strongly of smoke and marijuana that just seemed to get into our clothes. We couldn’t handle how visibly dirty the sheets were so we checked out after an hour and drove two hours down the road to find something better.

It was supposed to be no smoking, that is all you could smell in the hallway and the room. The room was dirty. There was hair on the sheets, stains on the top cover, crumbs on the fridge door, smudges on the mirror, hair on all the towels in the bathroom and they had dirt residue as well , we brought our own towels. The socket was hanging out the wall where the lamp was plugged in. It was quite a disappointment.

A room was booked for my son, he had to check in late - at booking there was no mention of a deposit, upon arrival he didn’t have the means to cover it and since it was late he couldn’t reach me, they would not let him check in. He had to sleep in his car. We will still charged for night one - then the next day, when I covered the deposit - they said was 100$, checking my account they deducted 150$…absolutely ridiculous!

The motel states that it is NON -SMOKING but as soon as we walked in, the whole ground floor smelled VERY strongly of cigarette smoke. I have a serious lung condition, so this was unpleasant. Entered the room and there was exactly NO PLACE to hang your clothes or coats.

Didn't get the king size bed that I paid for furniture was old and antique looking bed was smaller than the frame I meant mattress and for the price I paid for the room wasn't what was shown in the select picture category I would never go back there and stay and I should get half a refund or triple key cash points

Its really out of date and falling apart. If you need a cheap place its fine, but if you have an extra 30$ to spare it would be worth not staying here. The beds were super uncomfortable and it was not as clean as it should be.

The desk clerk was very slow, and I had to wait 5 or 6 minutes while he checked someone else in. The chairs in the lobby did not look like something I wanted to sit on, and there was a pizza box sitting on the table between them. The pizza box was still sitting there when I checked out 2 days later. This is not what I expect from a Wyndham property, even at a discount.

The latch on my door was broken. There were stains all over the pillows and bed. Bugs crawling in the bathroom.

No closet in the room so no place to hang clothes Queen mattress on a king frame. tv didn't work. No coffee maker as advertised. Lots of broken floor tiles. Plastic bag over the smoke detector. Towels smelled like they were wasked in peanut oil.

But there was no place to hang your clothes. In more than 65 years of motel rooms, this has never happened before.

The two days I was there my tv did not work I complained about it. I asked if I can have cleaning supplies because the bottom of my shower hard grim and black. While checking in a couple was in the lobby arguing and the clerk did not attempt to tell them to leave out of the lobby. Over all, I will NEVER STAY THERE OR RECOMMEND THEM. I complained two days straight about my tv then I was offered to move rooms the second night. After I packed all my stuff up he came back and told me that the tv in that room was not working either. So I had the pleasure in hearing the people next to me all night. So I don’t ever want to be recommended a room or an experience like that again.

Bed sheets where stained seemed like from bed bugs. Next door people where really loud throughout the night, we complaint to the front and seemed like nothing was doesn't about it.

Cracked tub, shower curtain rod hanging off the wall, no toilet paper roller, gap in the wall of the AC unit, bugs coming in from the outside ..... Do I really need to go on? You really shouldn't offer this place at all. Expedia is a good site. We left the place, and will never go back.

This property had several problems. There were light switches, as well as the remote that didn't work. There was a queen mattress on a king-sized frame, which made a large area on both sides of the bed where the frame was exposed. There was a plastic bag over the smoke detector for some unknown reason.The three dumpsters out back were overflowing. More of inconveniences, our room was at the far end of the hallway and the exit doors there didn't have key entry to get back in and there was no ice bucket or coffee pot in the room.

This hotel was disgusting. Bugs crawling on the floor, hair all over the counters and sheets, dirty towels, broken sink, broken air conditioner, etc. This place looks nothing like the pictures provided on any website. Never again.

Place is a real dirty. The air doesn't work. It smells like weed. The staff is unfriendly. The sheets have stains. The floor is filthy in the room. The bathroom has black mold on the ceiling. Don't waste you time. Place should be ashamed of themselves. TV remote doesnt have batteries. Would be a nice hotel if they would just care about the place maybe a little bit

The bathroom was dirty with hair on the bathroom counter, wall, and shower area. The toilet flushed but toilet paper would not go down. They gave us a key to use the bathroom in another room down the hall. That room could not have been cleaned because the sink had lots of hair on it. We ended up leaving and having to pay for a hotel elsewhere. I wasn’t expecting a lot because it was very affordable, but I did expect a functioning toilet. Not ok, Super 8. We will never, ever stay ina Super 8 again.

We were supposed to have a king bed. There was a double mattress on a king frame. The sheets and pillow cases were dirty/stained. We asked to have a different room, as there was a no refund policy. We did get a different room. The sheets and pillows were not stained. But the bathroom and a couple of the towels were dirty. This is one of the gross hotels we have ever stayed. Would have left but as I said earlier, no refunds. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!¡!
