Great pool deck area with outdoor bar. It made for a great break between matches while in town for a tournament.

My room was very clean. Staff were professional. I would definitely stay again.

Staff was amazing. The place smelled wonderful when you walked in, very clean. The rooms were nice and spacious. We loved our stay and made sure to remember this hotel for our next trip to Charleston!

I loved all the amenities that were available at the property. The pool area was well above my expectations it was beautiful. The patio bar was definitely something to enjoy. I did not like the fact that the ice machine was on the fifth floor and was definitely not shown on anything. Most places that I have stayed have an ice machine on each floor.

Only problems I noticed were the pool bathroom door didn’t lock, and the pool chair cushions were wet because it had rained. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfortable.

Would rate property 3 star. It's showing it's age: room was clean and AC worked great but carpet was used as well as the furniture. Needs an upgrade. Shower was hot (very important) but water pressure weak (not as important). Carlos at the restaurant was awesome and helpful as was front desk staff.

The room was clean. I like that there was a sink near the microwave and refrigerator. I enjoyed my meal at the restaurant in the hotel. My waiter was pleasant. Will book this hotel again.

Because of the delay, we were forced to get ready for our event in the hotel lobby restroom, which was stressful, inconvenient, and frankly unacceptable given the purpose of our stay. The staff were reasonably polite, but ultimately unwilling to accommodate the importance of this critical hour. We were told the hotel had been fully booked for a convention the night before and that rooms were still being cleaned. The overall handling of us the situation was disappointing. We even expressed a desire to cancel the room and leave, at which point a room suddenly became available. Expedia ultimately offered only a 10% OneKeyCash credit rather than any actual refund. I understand delays can occasionally happen, but when guests are relying on timely check-in for important professional commitments, communication and resolution matter. Sadly, this experience did not meet expectations.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Although near the airport, we never heard the planes while in the room. There are restaurants and shopping nearby, and only about a 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and staff is polite. We were very happy that we chose this hotel for our trip!

This is a luxurious place the Supervisor Brandon was extremely professional and supportive to my wife and I. We were celebrating her birthday and he provided us with amazing service and information we needed to visit local beaches

We were given a free breakfast off the menu. - food was amazing - shrimp and grits and steak and potato hash browns.

I love to stay at IHG properties and the Crown Plaza was no exception! The room was excellent as was the staff. Meals were great and the pool was already open in April!

Hotel seems to be a refurbished older hotel- you can tell that things were kind of bandaged rather than gutted and replaced. Holes in the walls where pictures/old headboards were, plastic tile walls overtop then original shower walls, old AC vents, damaged wall coverings on corners. It just wasn't really Crowne Plaza standards honestly, but for a quick night stay it would be worth it for the right price. Its also convenient having a restaurant, although more food options would be nice.

Hotel felt safe and comfortable. Front desk staff was incredibly nice! The room I stayed in needs work. No smoke detector. Tv was black and white. The breakfast attendant was incredibly rude and was running guests off. Not much of an actual restaurant there - or at least the attendant didn’t want you to know about it.

We arrived early so we waited a bit until closer to our check in time. When we entered to check-in no one was at the feont desk. Agter a couple of minutes someone came from the back and stated the clerk was in the restroom. No pro lem, we waited and about 3 minutes later we saw another young lady who asked had we been helped and asked us to give her a minute. The clerk arrived a minute later, said nothing, answerd the phone, and without eye contact sternly asked for our info. She was not welcoming at all. Other than that, the room was as pictured and the stay was comfortable. Parking was free and plentiful. Hotel was clean and quiet.

Overall the stay and facilities were good. My only issue was when I checked in/got to my room, there was no water (drinking). Water is suppose to be complimentary and I did not have any drinking water during my entire stay. It could have been that the room service forgot…not sure.

The first room they gave us didn’t have a curtain. So we had to ask to move to another room on the first floor which was infested with WASPS!!! If you’re cleaning your hotel daily, how did no one know this room was filled with wasps gathering on the bathroom mirror and dead ones sprawled all over the floor. Where is my refund :(

Elevator jerk bad when you arrived on your floor. Needed repairs immediately!!! Advised front desk. Two days not fixed. Ice machines on 5 & 4 floors not working. Side door not working right with key had to giggle the door to get in.

We checked into the first room. The air conditioning was turned off. After turning it on and setting the temperature to 60 degrees, the room did not cool. We requested maintenance and it took 3 phone calls and 2 desk visits over a 2 hour span for them to arrive. The room was 80 degrees. The hotel moved us into a second room and assured us the air conditioning worked. We finished getting ready for dinner (room was 74 degrees) and returned 3 hours later to a 78 degree room. Will never stay here again.

The hotel room was dirty. The shower walls nasty it look like it hadn’t been wiped down and forever. Then at 4 am the smoke detector kept going off called the front desk and he said he could see if maintenance can possibly fix it. I won’t stay here here again but the staff was friendly and nice!

We stayed in room 209 which had a mold odor. Our room was very hot our first night despite having the ac unit turned down. By the second night we moved the thermostat to 55 degrees which seemed to cool the room. We did not sell out management as we were content and our needs were met.

The rooms unfortunately were very poor quality. Upon entry into both our rooms there was trash. There was a sticker from a swimsuit or underwear liner on the floor. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom had tissues stuffed in them. And the shower head in another room was broken. The towels had a smell to them so we bought our own new towels.

The bar offered a good selection and the bartender was very friendly and professional.

Staff was friendly. The sink in the bathroom drained slowly and the stopper was broken. They fixed it immediately however the water in the sink was still slow to go down.

Overall the stay was okay. I requested my room to be cleaned & it never happened even with my sign on the door to signal I wanted it clean, talking to the housekeeper AND communicating this with the front desk staff. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk agent I was told the housekeeping staff left for the day & I was given snacks from the hotel store to accommodate the mistake

Called front desk numerous occasions to get blood off bathroom wall. Noticed as soon as we checked in. It was not taken care of. Locks had been tampered with, to go food given was the wrong order, itemized receipt not given and the total was WAY more than expected. Called the property and crowne plaza for help and was given the run around and hung up on by automated service.

Good property. Requested a king got two queens. Fixed it but a hassle. Great to have a lighted make up mirror but it was broke. Comfortable bed and nice updated rooms. Would return.

Clean room good staff

The rooms were clean. They need better lighting. My wife couldn't use the desk for getting ready. The shower head needs help. Low water pressure and you couldn't make the head stay adjusted. It just drooped. The ice maker was inop on our floor. Only one elevator was working. I think there was some renovations happening. All around it was a good stay.

Clean rooms, although set up a little weird- bed is right there when we opened our door which was unexpected. Also did not get our room serviced second day due to timing. Front desk staff was biggest pain point, besides one friendly rep (taller woman wish I had her name) the rest of the staff looked distracted and we usually had to grab their attention. Food was ok but restaurant staff friendly and attentive. Overall not bad for a quick trip but would not necessarily stay again.

Beautiful place, great staff

Room was clean and spacious. The bathroom tiles needed some love and there was some paint touch up needed. The gym had some decent equipment, but there was a musty smell and sorry I notice stuff like this, but it appeared that the wall behind weight rack had been painted, but not the area directly behind the rack, so the paint didn't match. Nothing major just minor stuff. Staff were friendly and helpful. The gentleman behind the bar was awesome and did a great job of serving the drinks and food in the evening. The food was very good as well, I ate there twice during my stay.

Loud parties in the lobby on two of the nights we stayed there until 2am. Zero sleep. Elevator not working. Understaffed. Unclean.

I will never stay here again. The noise was ridiculous. You could hear everything happening in the lobby. The added breakfast was a joke. We found toenails clippings on rug, gnats flying in our room, the elevator stopped working, the toliet was an issue. Don't even get me started on the lack updated amenities. Terrible hotel.

Underwear found under the bed. Plastic shard on the rug/ clearly not vacuumed. First room they gave me had a flood in the bathroom by toilet. Hotel needs updating and refreshing!

The staff here is amazing and so nice. But there were some big issues. The elevators didn’t work part of the time. The cable and internet went out all weekend. The air conditioning did not work well. And went brought up, the staff acknowledged and just seemed (rightfully) overwhelmed with all the problems. Then on the morning of checkout, there were ants in the bathroom. Without these issues, the room was great.

Not so good. The second elevator was broken more often than not and when it was working people were getting stuck in it. The shower head in the bathroom was hanging the wall. The TV didn’t work and the overall cleanliness was poor. I would not recommend staying there.

I primarily stayed in North Charleston for a concert at the Coliseum (after staying in downtown Charleston for a few days). Well, the staff, including shuttle drivers were very nice and helpful. The room though... fairly icky. Not necessarily unclean, but the rust and water stains on the ceiling and bathroom made everything seem gross, and the musty smell was pretty bad. The cushioned headboard on the bed looked like it was ravaged by wild animals. The bed itself was fine though. And the A/C worked great. I only stayed one night so didn't complain, figuring most of the rooms were like this, and they were all booked anyway. Oh, and booked for the pool, too, but it was very uninviting, and scorching hot that day. The breakfast service was a total mess so I left before even getting a table and walked to a restaurant. I wouldn't book a room at that hotel again.

I had an issue with the AC and it was not addressed in the manner that was suitable for me and my guest. I was given a fan, but the AC was never checked by a qualified technician,

Lovely hotel however room 231 shower flooded the bathroom each time we showered

When we arrived the AC was not working and it took several hours to repair. It was hot and humid for quite some time before we could go to sleep. The next morning the front desk attendant was reluctant to comp vouchers for a free breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience. The hotel seems a bit dated in many regards such as furniture style and wear.

Elevator jolts when taking it up to the room. Room smelled like B.O. Headboard is gross with a note we are replacing in April 2025 and it’s now late June. Shower has low water pressure. Bed is horrible. No ice machine. Just a gross place.

The toilet leaked on the floor. I reported and someone did come to check it out but it did NOT fix the problem! The toilet paper would not stay on the holder. The shower curtain was torn. Wallpaper was torn throughout the room. The ice machine was broken on my floor. The staff were nice and loved the fresh fruit water upon my arrival. Sorry didn’t know to take photos

The location of this hotel is central to what we wanted to do while visiting Charleston. Easy and free parking and the staff was friendly. Other than that, the hotel is subpar and needs a complete overhaul. One of the elevators was not working. The toilet in our room leaked. The mattress was uncomfortable. The headboard upholstery was scratched up. There was mold in the shower. The door handle on the shower door was broken. We would not stay here again I am sorry to say.

Comfortable beds, bathrooms could have been cleaner. Breakfast was an experience. Was advertised as breakfast cook to order but the waitress tried to argue with me and told me they don't do that when they are busy. She wanted me to eat the breakfast bar. The lady sitting next to me had to go through the same thing until finally the waitress agreed to take our order. They had a menu at the entrance for cook to order options but the waitress was trying everything not to allow us to order. That was the first day around 9am. The second day at 10:15 she went into the kitchen after we ordered and loudly started to complain about how late we showed up and placed an order. Breakfast is served from 6 to 11 am. This was the same waitress both days. I would advise not paying the extra $16 for breakfast it's definitely not as advertised. The good was the location we quick and easy access to interstate and you can walk to Tanger outlet and walmart both are within the same business park. The ladies at the front desk.

They are still waiting for new headboards for the beds and it has been two years and still haven’t been replaced and noticeably are all scratched. However the pillows were super comfortable. One of the elevators was bouncing when you went up. The rooms are nice and cool, but the rest of the hotel is super hot. We really went for the outside pool! That was a huge disappointment. It looks like it had not been cleaned all year. Water was greenish color, the bottom of the pool was yellow and disgusting. We only went in for 5 minutes and got right back out when we saw poop in the middle of the pool. We will not be back.

The lobby is very nice

Customer service was great and the stay was good. The room was a little outdated and the headboard was messed up due to it being cleaned, but we were notified by a courtesy note left on the table from the hotel staff. Will consider returning when we desire to visit Charleston again!
