DoubleTree Beach Resort by Hilton Tampa Bay - North Redingto

Upon stepping into this hotel I knew I was at the right place. Friendly staff that accommodated us in every way they could, we asked if if they had a fan for our room and they did! Amazing restaurant and bar on site, chairs to rent on the beach and a few activities. Rooms were clean and spacious. Will definitely stay again!!! Thank you Doubletree!!

Great beachfront property with excellent restaurant

Likes: restaurant was wonderful and the beach was excellent. Location was great. Dislikes: parking $25 per day and sometimes it’s hard to find a parking spot. The parking deck has low clearances so beware. The bed was not very comfortable but I have a hard time finding one that is at hotels.

Great stay on the ocean with a balcony room!

We enjoyed that the ocean is very close to hotel and didn’t have to walk much. Also there’s a nice restaurant facing the beach and a guitarist playing.

Walks definitely not sound proof. Could hear people urinating and the doors from other rooms with inconsiderate patrons let slam constantly. Was not happy finding out there was daily parking charge on top of room charges not included! Excessive amount also

Just stayed on the top floor with a king bed. Beach access is the best in North Redington, the new tiki bar is absolutely beautiful. Stunning views we ate breakfast every day we were there and the food was delicious. It’s our favorite place to stay when head over to the Gulf.

Our beach view room was wonderful. Loved the private balcony & views for miles! The staff were extremely helpful and sweet! We loved Joy & Maia.

The restaurant was amazing with great views. I wish the property had a hot tub or two.

The staff were more than happy to help all the time. The beach view was excellent. The only thing is that me and my husband had started making this our anniversary destination because it was mostly quiet and relaxing. Not so much anymore and at the price we have to pay I think this will be our last stay. Thanks for all the good memories.

Every interaction with a staff member was great. Professional and with a smile. From Gary and Angelisa when we checked in to Alex at the Bar, to Joy the restaurant hostess and many of the waitstaff....John, Kimberly, Judy, Darla and CJ. Everyone was most welcoming. Even Kevin running the beach chairs/umbrellas was a pleasure to work with. We had stayed at this property 30 years ago and can't remember who ran it in 1996. But it was great to visit once again. Thank you!

I liked that it was right on the beach The parking is atrocious. The hotel is one of the most run down ones I've been to. The a/c doesnt have the option to run the fan on auto. The floors are muggy and sticky from the humidity of the balcony door or the a/c. Maybe both. The housekeepers scream up and down the hall to eachother in spanish for 45+ minutes.

Clean, just steps to beach and the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. I didn’t like the “pay to park at the property” nightly rate. It should be included in the nightly rate. I thought the nightly rate was reasonable until I realized it didn’t include parking at the property.

This property hosts incredible views. The beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly. We go frequently for weekend getaways. Coconut Charlie's has excellent food and the staff if friendly. The pool is clean and nice but lacks the tropical feel due to obstructed view with tall chain link fence. Pool feels confining with the gate and need for card access.

Our stay was perfect! Gary was fantastic with our check in, the bars were great and the food was delicious! Our room was so clean with a beautiful balcony view of the ocean. We loved everything about our stay and talked about how we cannot wait to return!!

The exterior bars were recently completed and are amazing! The interior bar and restaurant are exceptional! The room was perfect with a balcony view of the gulf the hotel never disappoints and is a favorite of ours

My family of 4 had an amazing time. Great location, loved the tiki bar on the beachside and the convenience of eating lunch looking at the Gulf. When not in the ocean, we were in the pool. We ate so many free cookies 🍪 😋 Will definitely be back!

Nice location on the beach, room are good, bed is good. Swimming pool is very very small, you have to pay 25 dollar per day for parking but a place is no reserved for you. Inside case there was no spot available. Food is not great.

We enjoyed being able to park in the garage. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Booking as late as we did for a weekend stay the cost was excessive. The pricing was appropriate for a five star facility which this property is not. Also the price did not include their daily parking fee. The hotel is just managing maintenance which is a bear with an ocean front property. Unfortunately the only bathroom light switch turned on all bathroom lights so it was like being inside a lightbulb anytime of the day. The maid service was very late cleaning our room.

Hotel and room were very clean. Staff was very friendly. Bed/pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Check out at 6am was not pleasant. Desk staff was in the office sleeping and couldn't be found for 20 minutes. Other than the disappointment at checkout, the hotel was great.

Tiki bar, staff and room views of the Gulf were beautiful. Stacy at the pool and Judy at the restaurant were standout staff.

We arrived in the middle of the week and check in went smoothly, we made it to our room and realized the air conditioner was loud and wouldn't turn off so we asked for maintenance to take a look at it and they came promptly and resolved the issue. comfortable room and beds, although we didn't spend to much time in the room because the facility and beach were calling. There was music for a few hours Thurs-Sat and it was quite enjoyable ! Did I mention tempting drinks and tasty food?

This was an awesome stay for my family during spring break. Great option by the beach. The gulf view was beautiful! The food was good. We didn't have to leave the property for anything. We checked in and ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the restaurant. Overall, very relaxing!!

Great beach resort with clean rooms and a great property. There was something weird about the air unit for the room. It would get really humid and affect our sinuses.

The hotel was nice - great options for food/drink. We particularly enjoyed the cabana rentals - fair price and very friendly staff (Kevin). Every server, bartender and main desk employee was kind and helpful. The beach was very well maintained and I will stay here again. The only negative was paying to park, which sounds like it’s becoming more common at hotels/resorts.

The view was outstanding and the room was very comfortable. We had two small children, so we were very happy the hotel was very kid and family friendly. Enjoyed the restaurants and pool that were on site. Enjoyed our stay, we will be back.

We enjoyed a Gulf view from our balcony, where we watched the sun go down each evening. The restaurant served good food. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I'd stay there again!

Unfortunately the weather was cool and windy most of the time we were there so we were unable to use the pool. Our balcony overlooking the ocean was a great place to sit and read which I did. We plan on going back to the Double Tree Beach Resort in North Redington Beach!

The room was Nice except it was just above the restaurant and the construction for the new tiki bar. It was noisy and a lot sawing and drilling.

Beautiful views and easy beach access

I booked an oceanfront balcony room for a solo trip, just to hear the ocean waves and read my book. They were still repairing some of the areas from last year's hurricane. Beneath the balcony area where I was sitting, they were drilling, hammering, and just making horrific noise! Had I known they were under construction still I would've not chosen this property.!!

Excellent hotel in a great location , ala Carte breakfast was amazing . Staff was very helpful . Gulf view with sunset were the highlights of this hotel . Only thing which would need improvement was the room service , the floor always felt a little untidy after room service . Highly recommend it !

The view of my room was awesome. Sunsets every day. Best hotel in the area. Very quite and peaceful for familes. So convenient. You can go to the beach and clean off on the pool area and go to your room to shower. So clean. The hallways are clean. The staff are so nice all three shifts

Very nice view, we slept listening to the waves. Every staff feels like an old friend. The beautiful beach is right up front and you see beautiful sunsets every night! Only little thing is check your bill for accuracy. I got charged for 25$/night parking fee and we didn’t come with a car. They were quick to rembourse though.

Staff were excellent. Nice and helpful. Proximity to beach was amazing. Right on the beach. Would have appreciated continental breakfast and complimentary beach chairs/umbrellas. Rentals for boogie/body boards would have been a plus. Not very sound proof so loud people next door or above you can be a problem. Decent price, overall amazing!! Highly recommend and the restaurant, coconut charlies was VERY reasonably priced with good food! Awesome! would stay again and hope to do so in future.

Courteous staff…. Clean room….beautiful view of the gulf…. Delicious chocolate chip cookies…restaurant was convenient and had tasty food. The only thing that I wish was different is that the elevators wouldn’t take so long to come to your floor… The elevators are constantly busy… Sometimes you have to wait five minutes for them to come… And it is usually full and then you have to wait for the next one that was kind of inconvenient… but everything else was excellent and whenever I come back to the area again, I would gladly stay here.

We typically go out for most of our meals when on vacation but the food, view and service was so incredible that we actually ate the majority of our meals right there (Coconut Charlie’s). It is close to John’s Pass and some good shops/ restaurants. Overall, it was so much more than we expected since we stayed soon after the hurricane. Will definitely go back!!

Hotel smelled great as soon as you walked in - transports you into vacation mode. Balcony is small but the view and sounds of the ocean were wonderful.

We were able to check in early and get a late checkout, the cabanas on the water are great. Our rooms were clean and the coffee shop is great. We’ve stayed here a few times and will do so again.

Wonderful hotel right on the beach! The room was perfect. Staff at front desk and restaurant were very accommodating. The food was good at the restaurant and we loved the cocktails at the bar as well. Soon to have a brand new tiki bar which will make it even better!

We love this hotel! It’s right on the beach so you can walk right out and use hotel towels, there’s a pool, the restaurant is great. We had breakfast and dinner there. It’s a great normal, clean hotel with good as well. Good to know - you pay for parking and at the moment the hotel is under a bit of renovation from the hurricane (we stayed fall 2025) but we didn’t find it disruptive to our stay. We’ve stayed 3 times now and loved it every time and our first time doing the gulf view and we thought it was so worth it!

The stuff wasn’t helpful at all! We complained two times about loud neighbors smoking weed at night and they never sent security there! We had two sleepless nights there. Terrible customer service. Also, you need to pay for wi-fi, for parking and for beach chairs. Won’t stay there again!

Although the area is in a considerable rebuilding/construction/demolition state, this hotel was great. Very friendly staff, clean building and accommodations, and the restaurant/bar on site was more than adequate if you didn't want to leave the property. We enjoyed the pool and beach access. Our room had an ocean view and was a good deal for the price from Expedia. Definitely would stay here again.

Gorgeous view

We enjoyed the breakfast and the close access to the beach. There are some things about the room we would prefer. Such as an exhaust fan in the bathroom. A more powerful showerhead. A softer mattress. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I think the tv guide could be better. It’s oversimplified and takes a long time to go thru. We were surprised that we had to pay $25/night for the parking. The pool had plenty of towels. The clean off area at the pool could use a better way to clean the sand off of the ankles and feet.

The room was very clean. There is no carpet so the usual musty smell many beachside hotels have is not there. The staff was friendly. No need to go off-site for food & drinks with bar/ restaurant providing a good variety of options for all meals. Best thing is that this location is truly beach side so you can hear the lapping of the waves from the water front rooms.

Loved walking out onto balcony to the beach.

The hotel was nice. My issue was the door to the balcony almost took my fingers off. It slammed so hard it cut open two of my fingers. We went ant informed the front desk and filled out an incident report, I feel like they blew it off.

I so enjoyed my stay. They staff was great and I felt prices reasonable. There was work going on rebuilding the tiki bar and the beach needed to be accessed through the parking garage but not a big deal. Lovely stay. Will come back!!!

Perfect location with an absolutely beautiful beach! We could walk for miles in either direction. Great view, friendly staff. This location has one of the only places on the beach with a gulf-front restaurant and bar. We used the city bus”trolley” to get around, very easy to do. We would definitely stay here again!

So the hotel was Great, clean and perfect spot. I was very disappointed. I was here to celebrate my little girls birthday and we show up and they are doing some beach work the whole 5 days we where here no one advised us of this or sent and email. We could not enjoy our beach front hotel we had to travel elsewhere to find an open spot to set up at the beach. On top of that we had to deal with a very rude employee I mean she was just nasty and very unprofessional. I will say Lyric was amazing she was another employee who helped us and was amazing. Along with Tracy and the Mike they all did there best at helping us and they did what they could for us. I don’t think I really want to go back to this area unfortunately this ruined our vacation and plans we had.

The one issue was that the government choose the days during our stay to restore the beach and so we were unable to take advantage of the beach in front of our hotel. The hotel did not make us aware this was happening ahead of time. They did however provide free parking. Not much of a compensation but at least an acknowledgement.

Beach was closed and guests were not notified. Hallways loud, very slow elevators. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Garage parking dark

I didn’t like that fact that we were never notified about construction not only on the property but also the dredging work being done on the beach right in front of our hotel.

The hotel pool closed at 8 pm. Very disappointed.

I stayed here with my best friend for our girls gone mild bachelorette weekend. We had a room with a balcony that looked right out to the beach and ocean. The view was spectacular. Even more spectacular was the staff, they were so attentive, kind, and did everything in their power to make our stay just amazing! I am grateful! I would definitely stay here again.

It was a comfortable stay - everyone was friendly and welcoming. I will point out that the coffee makers in the rooms make terrible coffee. A keurig type coffee maker would be better . We ate several meals in the restaurant and the food was good.. All in all - we enjoyed our stay.

I was very disappointed with the cleaning staff for the room. Never swept the balcony. Covered in sand and dead bugs for a week. I had to constantly ask for tp, coffee ( there was a coffee maker in the room). I had to ask for towels on some days. I don’t think I should have to ask for these items in a hotel. DO YOUR JOB!! Don’t just make the bed. Look around for other things

Check in was easy and simple, friendly staff , maybe less than 5 minutes and we were off to our room ,room was cool and clean , ready for us , we used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast , enjoyed the good , great presentation and tasty, overall had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

Had an adjoinung room with some couple who two nights in a row had a very loud alarm going off for hours and then turned off only to come back on within an hour keepung us up two days in a row despite efforts to fix the issue, no one from the hotel was able to come up the first might and the phone amd all attempts to contact the customer occupying the room and the next morning it happened again . This time the maintenance guy came up and listened to it in our room and verified the issue . I think he entered the room in question and the alarm went off. After one night of 4hours of interrupted sleep due to the obnoxious alarm and another day of it before we got it to stop happeneing ,the hotel didnt offer us a discount or any compensation for our inconvenience even though ibhave been a honors member for a very long time . We should have gotten a comped night .

This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff were amazing and some even learned my name and said hi to me by name several times throughout the stay. Tayvion at the front desk was awesome and super friendly and helpful! The restaurant was SO GOOD! We had breakfast everyday there, and even had lunch and dinner in one day. There really is no need to leave the hotel. The beach towels were available to use and always restocked promptly. Some toys were left by the stairs by the beach to use. We did rent the cabanas each day we were there and they were comfy and great. The worker came around and moved our umbrellas several times throughout the day to make sure we had shade. Everything was family friendly (we traveled with a toddler) and the other guests at the hotel were so friendly and polite. We were so impressed with everything and will hopefully be back!

Beautiful location and ocean front room with balcony. Amazing beach, professional excellent staff. Breakfast not included and parking fee a minus but pretty standard for area). One suggestion is not to charge for lounge chairs and umbrellas which should be included as resort fee is paid and was not mentioned in hotel's description on hotels.com. Otherwise great great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Super clean property, friendly staff, delicious food, great location, comfy beds, beautiful view, great shower pressure (and hot - a must for me!)...even free cookies at the front desk. Highly recommend!

Had a top floor gulf view room and it was fantastic! Everything was clean and the staff was excellent. The restaurant was delicious and the temporary beach tiki bar (due to Hurricane Helene and Milton) was great. Food wasn’t stupid expensive for the Clearwater area. Went during the week and it was great. Will definitely come again. There was still a lot of construction and cleanup going on but that’s is to be expected as this area got hit hard last October 2024

Loved that it was located right on the beach. Disliked the area, haven’t been built back since last hurricane.

This is an amazing family property. Great beach view, super friendly staff (esp Calvin), great on-site restaurant. Hard wood floors in rooms (amazing). Parking is easy and accessible. It’s a safe area with clean beaches and lots of dolphins to watch from the balcony. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was fantastic, we loved it. The hotel directly next to it is still boarded up presumably from the hurricane last October. The area seemed run down and it wasn’t walkable so if we didn’t have a car, it would have restricted where we could go. It was about 25 min Clearwater which is much more touristy.

Staff is exceptional. I had an issue with breakfast and a few other small things and they took care of it IMMEDIATELY so I could get on with my relaxing. And the food portions are huge. Beach was clean and peaceful. If you want to just go to a place and not have to worry and just relax, go here.

The room was clean. Had wonderful beach view fifth floor. The bartender we had was not very polite but other than that it was a great stay.

im very happy that i chose this hotel for my family vacation. dont miss the view, the view was breathtaking, and the cleaning is every day.

25 dollars a day for parking not good

The elevators were very slow, and the separation between the pool and beach left a lingering walk through a dining area. The room booked was not as described through orbitz.

My wife and I have been staying here every year for our vacation. Every year they have had a very high standard and excellence about them, Except this stay! From the room smelling like smoke and some of the staff are just out to make a buck. They don't care about your comfort or just don't want to hear about it. They over charge you for nightly parking and tried to add 250 charge on our cc because of the room smelling like smoke. Yes we told them about it and they just didn't say anything about it. I will not stay there anymore and will find a better hotel. I'd do the same if I were you.

This is our 3rd time here. The other 2 times were in 2012 and 2013. We were amazed how many of the same friendly staff still worked there. We loved the new room remodels ! The only thing that would be nice is a magnified makeup mirror in the bathroom! The food is so good and many options!!

The hotel was very pleasant, but the main reason I plan to return is because of the staff. Every single person we encountered was pleasant, professional, warm, and incredibly helpful. It was true customer service. I can’t remember the last time I felt so comfortable, respected and appreciated

We had a very nice stay. The front desk people were amazing!! They were always very nice and answered all of our questions. The room was very nice and clean. Coconut Charlie’s had great food. Towels were supplied for the beach goers. The beach was very nice and clean and was not too crowded. You could rent chairs with umbrellas for the entire day for $40. The only drawback for us was that we were charged $25+tax/day to park in the hotel’s deck. Unless I missed something, which is always possible, I was unaware that was going to happen, so we had a $230 charge on our final bill that we were not expecting. That did not make us happy. Overall, it was a great vacation!!

Stay was overall really good. Transportation trolly was really nice $5 a day per person. Staff was extremely friendly. Food was just OK. And beds were not very comfortable.

The property and room were nice. Clean pool, nice beach and comfortable beds and pillows. I would stay here again. The elevators are a bit slow and busy at peak times. Paying for parking is ridiculous, but most hotels charge a fee. The restaurant had good food and not too expensive.

This is a great spot and we always enjoy our stay at the Hilton Doubletree NRB! The beach is yards from your room and the hotel is recently updated and very nice. HIghly recommedn.

The facilities and staff was very good. Be advised that you are charged $25 a day for parking. Also beach chairs with umbrella is $40 per day.

This property is perfect for a beach vacation! The property is steps from the beach. The restaurant has a chef and the food is so good we chose to eat there several times. The front desk staff always in a good mood and solving anything! Will for sure be back.

We loved this place. So any cons are minor issues that are not a big deal.

The beds should be more comfortable like other hotels (ie Marriott) have temperpedic like mattresses.

It also has a 2-story car park area which costs extra. Not sure why it would cost extra but not included. I can understand if the parking is limited or you do not have parking and you have to rent space somewhere else…. But you have 2-story specious parking area and then you try to make extra making it paid… So that was kind of disappointing, I think the only disappointing item…

Also I did notice that there is not a particular entrance from the beach to the hotel for handicap people, I saw a few of them that barely could walk and from the beach to the hotel there are only stairs

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Doubletree in North Redington Beach !

* The beach was much quieter here vs Clearwater or St. Pete's. *The rooms were clean and updated. *The cleaning staff was attentive to details- they replaced dirty glasses with the a clean of that version (coffee cups, wine glasses, drinking glasses) *We loved having a balcony with a gulf view (It was small, so think two people out there sitting at a time). *There are clean towels to use when you come up from the beach. *There were community beach toys and noodles- we used and then left what we had acquired during our stay for future guests to use. *The on-site restaurant was a huge plus. They had lots of breakfast options that we took advantage of daily. *There is an outside patio/bar area that you can eat from the restaurant and/or have drinks while enjoying the view of the beach. *The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly and helpful. *There are loungers and umbrellas available to rent. They were only full on Saturday. Things to consider: There is on-site parking which was very convenient, but if you have a large SUV or truck, the spots are tight. The outside of the hotel is a little outdated, but the inside has all the amenities you could need. There are fewer restaurants and shops in the North Redington area. You will need to drive 10-15 minutes to get to grocery stores.

Nice clean hotel room over look9ng the ocean. The parking spots were very tight in the lower level garage area for a full size car... What I did not like was that you had to pay for parking per night, which was not included in your stay for a paid room.

The hotel staff was accommodating when checking in and when we asked to move to a quieter room. The rooms were more basic than places we have stayed previously but the stay was enjoyable.

Professional staff, very clean, and busy. The parking is tight but convenient! Great location and beach.

Cleaning staff needs to improve, we stayed 4 nights and only had 1 cleaning performed during our stay. I had to request new towels and toilet paper my last night. Overall we had a great experience!
