Hyatt House Chicago Oak Brook

From the moment we arrived, Lariya and the entire staff were absolutely awesome. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, professional, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a great stay. Their outstanding customer service made us feel right at home. The hotel itself was fabulous, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. One of the highlights was the breakfast. There were so many delicious options available each morning, making it easy for everyone in our group to find something they enjoyed before heading out for the day. The location was also perfect and convenient to all the places we visited, making our trip even more enjoyable. Between the excellent staff, wonderful accommodations, great breakfast, and ideal location, this hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you to Lariya and the entire team for making our stay such a memorable one. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and a fantastic experience!

I did reserved and paid for my stay ! And when I get there the front staff just said we cancel you reservation because we have not rooms ! I told them why didn’t send me a email or call to let me know that they canceled it ! I drive 3 hours away just for this sad

For the area, the hotel was not very clean, The staff was not welcoming at all. I understand not cleaning daily for multiple stays, however; the used towels should be removed and fresh ones placed in the room. I travel quite frequently for work, and will never stay at a Hyatt House property!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel and it’s the place we’ll continue to stay when we’re in Chicago. Bar, free breakfast, pool, and fitness room (along with snacks and incidentals available in the lobby). Beds are super comfortable and the shower heads and water pressure are fantastic.

Hotel was pretty nice. Breakfast was good. Staff for us were nice. Pool area was clean not too crowded. My only issue. The mattress had No mattress cover, and we always check for bedbugs and it had a few stains on the side.

Staff were very nice and friendly. There was no free water upon arrival. The elevators were extremely slow and apparently one of them was broken, but no one said anything. Food choices for dinner were extremely limited.

Only dislike was the sliding bathroom door. It was very heavy and loud, and not sound proof at all.

I only had 2 issues. The only refrigerator was really small. If you wanted to cook or stay an extended period of time the space in the fridge is limited. The other issue is if you are a Hyatt member you can’t get points if you book through a third party. Everything else about the property is great.

I honeslty expected more from the hyatt house as far as it related to amenities, and the room. didnt have a bad experience I think I was just a little underwhelmed. But breakfast options were great and the staff was very welcoming and warm. The bartender Lariya was a 10 outta 10. Great customer service. My overall experience was great. I would stay again.

Room was great! Warning for those that choose to stay here, park where there are cameras. Our vehicle was parked in front of the main door and got broken into along with a few other vehicles. The hotel staff didn't seem to be too concerned about it. According to the hotel staff there are no security cameras on the front of the building facing the parking lot but there were cameras on the sides of the building.

Overall average experience. Had check in problems as they over booked the room we had reserved. Ended up with our second choice which was not great. The furniture in the main room was looking quite dated and the tv was only working intermittently the first day. The extra space in the main room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

I've stayed at this place before BUT this time I was on the 2nd floor and next to the elevator. BIG MISTAKE. It was noisy!!

One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast. It had a nice variety of hot and cold options, and everything was fresh and well-stocked. The location is also super convenient—close to shopping, restaurants, and highways, but still quiet and peaceful. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and modern place to stay in the Oakbrook area, I definitely recommend the Hyatt House. Would absolutely return!

The staff were friendly and welcoming! My only complaint is that there were guests rooming around in the hallway and trying to get into people’s rooms. I had to double lock my room just to be safe.

Only one elevator worked for the whole bldg including cleaning carts. Only one ice machine for the entire bldg. It was a holiday and employees seemed scarce.

I liked the room, everyone was nice, breakfast was good. I didn't like the smell of the room our a/c leaked which soaked the carpet and had the musty mildew smell, they vacummed it but the smell came back, we asked them to spray chemicals but after an hour the smell came back.

Hotel was nice but the breakfast was terrible. Eggs full of water and the turkey sausage was like hockey pucks. For the price, the food should be better. Gluten free and gluten bread in the same box defeats the purpose of gluten-free. No bagels or muffins? All around a terrible breakfast. But the room was beautiful and the staff was nice.

The room was very dirty. Matress was stained badly. Sheets were dirty. The door of the bath was broken, They chanced the matress and sheets.fixed the door. Also pillows were so old and useless. They told that they will discount 2 night rate but we didnt get any information or chargeback detays. We are waiting for the answer.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was larger than expected and very comfortable. It was very clean and the temperature was perfect (there is a control to set the temperature but I found I didn’t need to change it). The bar in the lobby where you order food took some time to get a staff member, but they were very friendly as well. The burger was huge and delicious, as were the fries. The only complaint I have is the pillows started out very fluffy, but by the middle of the night they were basically flat, also, the ice machine on my floor didn’t work, but the one on 4 was working fine so that wasn’t much of an issue. Neither “complaint” was enough to give anything less than 5 stars. I almost forgot, the breakfast selection is generous and quite tasty!

Pool was cold, requested room to be cleaned every day. Two days our room was not cleaned. Outdoor area with fire table that did not work. Area not cleaned up!

Breakfast had great options though hot options weren't really warm. It's a little rough around the edges (worn door corners in bathroom) but the staff is so friendly and it's clean .

Beds were super comfortable. Room needed a few repairs. The pool was really cold though it said heated. Close to the zoo and I slept great which is why we were there.

I also asked for plastic cups from the bartender and she looked everywhere until she found them. She was very calm and professional as well.

The stay was good. There was a faint odor in hallways and elevator, kinda smelled like a wet dog. I also noticed hair on the bathroom wall of my room.

This hotel by far is the best hotel I have stayed at. The staff are amazing and so helpful. They make you feel like family. The cleaning staff are exceptional, they clean your room to perfection. Everyone at this hotel are amazing. I have stayed at many hotels and this hotel has been the best. The hotel is spotless. They have a great breakfast which is included in the price and the kitchen help are so nice. They have a large breakfast display and you can order your own omelet which is always done perfectly. The front desk staff are so kind and extremely helpful. I can go on and on about this hotel. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. I will be back next time I am in the area.

I like how everything was easy accessible, the staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Anytime I needed help they were available. One complaint that I have is there was a housekeeper that was very rude. I brought it up to the staff attention, and she was no longer my housekeeper after that and every housekeeper had after her was amazing.

When I stayed there was only one working elevator. And it was clearly a parent having a pool party for their child’s birthday. My shower wasn’t clean properly I found a stickers that were stuck inside the shower. But the staff were very nice and the breakfast was very good.

The property was nice the only complaints I have is that the TVs in the room have a very old satellite hook up and no option to stream applications like Netflix and YouTube. Also the flooring doesn't damper the noice above so we heard all the footsteps and running of the children in the room above us throughout the evening until after 10pm.

A very nice hotel. Our room and all common areas were clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom is nicely updated with a tile shower. Nice large TV and a clean, tidy couch in our room, so you don’t have to sit on your bed. The breakfast was ok, there was a pretty good selection, but some things weren’t overly warm. I would definitely stay here again!
