Reviews
The hotel offers clean rooms and friendly staff, particularly at the front desk. However, the location is a concern for some guests due to the surrounding area. The breakfast is generally well-liked, but there are issues with noise disruptions and cleanliness in certain areas of the hotel.

unwhelming I stayed here 4 years ago it was excellent but this visit was not that. Their parking use to be free now they charge $17 I could see this if they were in a populated area but there is only hotels and water near so who's parking there but the guests??. They say "free breakfast " it was eggs no meat and a biscuit and a banana not my idea of breakfast. there was a few stains on the pillows cases. 2.7 stars

Good breakfast helpful and professional staff great location. Recommend this Hotel to others.

Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly..

It was good. Friendly staff. It’s in an area that was not impressive. Lots if graffiti around the area. Close to freeway.
- 5/5
Very nice facility and guest room. Very attentive and helpful staff. Surprise- they serve a full breakfast. Very nice and comfortable stay.
- 4/5
Our was ok, it’s an older hotel so they do there best to keep things clean. The breakfast isn’t as great to me as other reviews have stated. I don’t do the watery imitation eggs or super processed mystery meat sausage. Coffee and juices are fine. Toast and bagels are great! The other issue is the homeless encampment right outside the back of the hotel were the views of the water are. Nothing against the homeless but the have a better view lol. They were also constantly fighting and their dog was barking all night and morning. Other than that it was a good stay.

Comfy, clean, convenient access to freeway. Nice view of water. Breakfast was eh. Room facing freeway was a little loud, not terrible.
- 5/5
It was a very nice and clean place with easy parking. It wasn’t super quiet due to road noise but I think it was a great option and good value ESPECIALLY for the area. 5/2026

We will going back for sure. Facility was nice. Right next to water and breakfast was great.
- 3/5
I liked the bed. I didn't like that they charged me EXTRA for a "water view" room, when I couldn't even see much of the water because it was dark. Why offer to "upgrade" me if im not going to get anything out of it? That was quite the scam, and ultimately I am upset that I paid extra since I was only staying there one night.

Good for a solo one night stay.

Catherine and Enrique were great! Housekeeping, the restaurant, bar, and kitchen staff were reliable and the service was wonderful.

I was stuck in San Francisco yesterday, late at night without transportation or a place to stay. I clicked on your website on my phone, to search for a hotel NEAR ME. I was offered a stay for about $200, which looked great, so I accepted and paid. It was for a hotel called Embarcadero something. Knowing that there is an Embarcadero in SF, I confirmed the booking, only to realize you had booked me in a hotel in OAKLAND. I'm 72 years old, was alone, outside, late at night and needed help. What I got was a $200 bill for nothing.

Upon arrival at the reception, Kim, gave us a pleasant surprise by upgrading our stay to a premium lake side view room!! The view from the room was breath taking to say the least. Thoroughly enjoyed a one night stay with my family at the Hotel and would love to recommend this Hotel to all the fellow travelers without a doubt!

Travelled with our kids and they were delighted with the place, stayed first floor with marina view, woke up to geese and their babies roaming. Hidden gem for sure.
- 4/5
For the price the property was fine. Seems a bit tired and older feel to it, but for the most part was clean and did the job for the night. Probably wouldn’t stay there again as I prefer a little more modern property.

My was very relaxing, easy access to the freeway and close to the airport.

Room allocation was not good. It did not had a bath tub.
- 4/5
The sausage that was prepared was not pork and there was no alternative available (i.e. pork sausage, bacon or ham). I was not particularly fond of the eggs either as there was a slight sweetness, which may have been sugar. The Belgian waffle was good and there are a variety of other cold breakfast items to choose from. The carpet in my room looked dirty. I did not feel comfortable walking on it with my bare feet. I wore my socks when walking around the room and when I looked at the bottom of them they were not dirty. So it was just a matter of the carpet being dingy which was unappealing.

However, the issue was the front desk staff member’s attitude. When my family members arrived and also wanted to check in, his attitude suddenly became noticeably impatient and rude. At first, I thought maybe he could only process one reservation at a time because the check-in setup didn’t even look like a proper front desk, and I honestly considered asking another staff member to help us instead. He then said that if we had told him earlier that we had multiple reservations, he could have arranged our rooms together. I thanked him and politely told him that it was totally fine if the rooms were not together. Instead of simply moving forward, his attitude became even worse. He handled everything extremely slowly while acting visibly annoyed and unfriendly.During just a few minutes of check-in, he made guests feel genuinely uncomfortable. I was not expecting overly cheerful service or even a smile, just basic professionalism and courtesy.Management should seriously consider better training and whether certain employees are suited for front desk positions.

Breakfast was great! Pool and hot tub also great! Staff were super friendly. I do recommend paying the extra money for a room with a water view because the “city view” side looks at the highway and you get those highway sounds all night long.

I have stayed here before and ea time seems to be going downhill. Needs new carpet and paint and a lot of TLC. There was no sugar and creamer for coffee, no lotion etc.

I thought the room was very nice and the bed was so comfortable . I also loved the view of the ocean and the breakfast was good . The coffee machine in the room was dirty and had hair where the kcup goes and the towels had pieces of black hair on them .

Our experience with front desk clerk at Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove: First he tried to upsell us on a waterfront room, even going as far as saying we could "pay for it" with our deposit. Like, sir, what? I have been offered upgrades before, but this was degrading. Yuck. Then when we got to the room, we noticed our bed was not a king. We have a king at home so we know what size they are supposed to be. We measured it and it was 65 inches wide. A king should be 80 inches wide. So we went down to request the king we paid for, and that same clerk told us that "he didn't know the difference" but that that was a king-sized bed. Bed size is not an opinion; it is standard. So if Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove charges for a king-sized bed, it should be 80 inches. And if it is not, as it wasn't, then they are cheating their customers.

Stay here all the time when I come up for business from San Diego...in Jingletown area...get a waterside view to feel the escape, get a street side view if you like the Urban vibe. about a 40 min walk to Jack London, cross Park St. bridge for access to Alameda and a ton of restaurants and other amenities and shoreline. Breakfast is great also, sausage, hame, eggs, etc...in the buffet style serving dishes...bar and food onsite.

Very clean, looked fancy, security walking around, everything worked Had to knock on glass because I got locked out, staff was not very friendly, ghetto people walking right outside where the cars were parked, windows extremely thin, making sleeping hard due to traffic. Also did not know I had to pay a $20 parking fee on top of my $160 reservation.

Room was ok. First floor at end of property. "Water view" was waterway view with buildings across the street and a homeless mini camp. The room's carpet was stained in multiple places, some of which were maybe food or other fluids that stood out on the dark carpet. I'm thinking they could have been cleaned up. Then there were other darker stains. It's either time for new carpet or much better cleaning protocols. When I exited the bed, and used my shoes, they stuck to the ground. Again, the carpet clearly needed attention. The bathroom towels had long hairs in them, as did the shower - never a good experience. Outlets were loose. The bed had a very clear divet in the middle, so I slept on one side. If I was staying for multiple nights, I definitely would have asked for another room. One night, and barely that I just dealt with it. Also, the cleaning staff were rather loud in the morning. Glad to know they get along and enjoyed seeing each other, but it was 7am and they continued off and on til at least 8 am! I can't say I've ever heard the cleaning staff in other hotels I've visited in my 40 years of traveling.

Very nice lobby and bar/dinner area. Rooms were nice and clean. Good size bathroom probably needed a lil remodel some of the tile was chipped and moldy the shower was nice just odd that it had only half a shower door. Shampoo was good and decent quality conditioner was bad definitely should get another type. Otherwise overall it was nice lil noisy and bit hard to keep room cool enough Location wasn’t greatest, the noise was a bit much not too bad but overall good. Hard to keep room at a cool enough temperature.

The staff were excellent. The breakfast area and bar, lobby area are beautiful. Breakfast is complimentary but couls use some speed and replenishing. Room was a bit dated. Carpeted with stains but I felt they were clean. The television was really old and I never really got it to work right. Bed was comdy and clean and I slept great. The room was really quiet. I was located on the 3rd floor with my window facing the water. I felt my car was also safe throughout the evening.

- 5/5
Good location off the freeway staff extremely friendly and helpful and beautiful view of the water and city.
- 3.5/5
There was no mention of having to pay for parking on the site I booked with. I'm not sure why I did pay. It's an open parking lot with plenty of parking on the street in front of the hotel. I should have just parked there and saved money. I feel like it was a scam that I fell for. I could see if the parking was closed off. Or if there was someone monitoring the lot. But there wasn't. Also, if you stay out late... you have to wait for someone to buzz you in. Yep... that's right, your key card won't let you in. We literally banged on the glass as we could see a woman at the front desk ignore us. Once more people started to arrive, that's when she buzzed us in.

- 3/5

- 4/5
The place is clean and good. Rooms need better lighting though .
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff.
- 5/5
I had a great eleven day stay at this hotel. Being on the less expensive side, I was worried that it might attract noisy guests and be understaffed, making their jobs difficult. This hotel was nothing like I expected. All the guests were quiet and respectful and the staff was plentiful, kind, and patient to an admirable degree. For instance, my first room was not acceptable and the front desk staff person was incredibly patient as I looked at different rooms and he worked with me with complete understanding and kindness until we were able to find one that met my needs for an eleven day stay. The service that I got at the hotel from all the staff bespeaks of excellent training and good management. My only complaint was that it is decorated in "prison tones," with the rooms being painted a drab khaki-gray and every single design element also being a flat, depressing grayscale. Would love for them to go for a white and bright motif with splashes of color, that so many people prefer.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
The property is a bit dated, and the breakfast options are a bit bland and limited, but other than that, its a comfortable hotel, good location, clean and rooms are great value for price.
- 3/5
The staff were wonderful, pleasant, courteous and professional. After paying to upgrade our room to have a water view, we ended up in a room with cockroaches. I went to the front desk to report the problem and the staff person immediately offered to move us, since my 7 year old granddaughter and I are both disabled and we’d already unpacked, and we weren’t really bothered by the critters, and we were staying for one night, we chose to stay in the room. The staff person took the parking fee off the bill, however I was still charged for the upgraded water view room with cockroaches. I’ve stayed at this facility several times and this incident still wouldn’t stop me from staying again. It’s the first time I’ve had any kind of issue.

Fantastic, as always!
- 3/5
Maria at the front desk and the rest of the front desk staff was amazing. The housekeeper was great also. Sheets and towels smelled fresh which I truly appreciated and enjoyed. We were there for 3 nights. The thing I didn't like was there is no shower door so water gets all over the bathroom floor. There is no door to the closet, The breakfast is below standard based on Embassy Suite. My water front view had a tree right in the middle of it. Do not line that we had to pay for parking, but establishment states they are not responsible if car is damaged or items are stolen. If charging for parking they should be responsible for the car on their property. I normally go to the Hyatt House when visiting Oakland, but wanted to be closer to my Mom's house. Although the good things kinda outweighed the bad things I will not stay at the Executive Inn and Suites again because used to more amenities. However, this is just me, everyone needs to judge for themselves because it wasn't as bad as I thought, but just not what I am accustomed to.
- 4/5
Good room, good breakfast. Area is a little sketchy.
- 5/5
The staff was great, rooms were clean, they had refrigerators and microwaves in each room and it had a great water view, The weren’t overly priced. But they should disclose when you check in that you’ll be paying for parking each day. A lot of people miss that if it’s just on the website and to get thirty dollars added to your bill at the end is upsetting. But overall it was a very pleasant stay.
- 5/5

Overall was a good stay. Breakfast was good and fresh every morning. Beds were comfortable and warm etc. I would stay there again. Only negative was it felt like it could be a little cleaner.
- 5/5
I must say I’ve saved this property probably about 15 times. It’s kind of close to my house and I’ll meet up and it’s perfect convenient. The staff is always very friendly. It’s like a home away from home if I have any kind of stuff going on the house like Construction or whatever I go and stay there I rest it’s quiet. I love it. The walkway around the property is beautiful. Gives you a great view of the San Francisco skyline. It’s convenient to Oakland and it’s right off the freeway, but you don’t hear the freeway I would go and stay here anytime I have to recommend it’s economical as well and the food is great.
- 3/5
I have never written a review for a hotel before and I have stayed in some pretty mediocre hotels but this takes the cake. The fact that the location is horrible, rooms are outdated and have an odd layout, outlets don’t work, wifi is slow or the fact that I did not get my roomed cleaned or at least clean towels would not be enough for me to leave a negative review. What really upset me was the horrible service. For the most part service was fine, not outstanding in anyway. On my last night I returned to my hotel a 9 and the restaurant/bar was closed. (The fact they close earlier on weekends baffles me) When I asked the women at the front desk if I can purchase something from their marketplace behind the front desk, I was met with an aggressive insinuation that I was not a guest at the hotel. Her first question was where did I come from which I had no clue how to respond. It was very obvious that she had no desire to help me. Regardless if I was even staying at this hotel, I don’t know why that would matter if I plan on purchasing something. She continued to be rude and of no help and I did not get the item I actually wanted. I’m not sure what it was about me that made her believe I was not a guest and not want to sell to me but regardless it left me feeling pretty awful. I absolutely will not be returning.
- 3/5
If you get a room facing the freeway you will have excessive noise due to the poo quantity windows. Everything else is decent.
- 5/5
Front desk and dining room staff were very polite and accommodating. I checked out early two days and was surprised to see I was forgiven two nights charges. Wow! Thanks.

Don’t bother with best western next door, all the amenities boasted by best western are actually provided at this hotel next door, they literally just send you to this hotel for the pool, hot tub, breakfast and bar. It’s also cheaper here for some reason. But it’s Oakland and this hotel is also next to the hooker hotel motel 6 which is a crime magnet for petty theft and car break in’s. I did find the back patio very nice for evening peace and views of the canal.
- 5/5
Staff was exceptionally courteous and gracious. Some dust and dirt in corners of the room. No coffee in the coffee maker. Blankets seemed a bit inadequate. Took the decorative cover from one bid to use on the other. Breakfast was great.
- 5/5
Location
- 4/5
Rooms are a little outdated and expensive for the area
- 5/5
Had to checkout earlier than expected because of a family emergency the staff was fantastic.
- 5/5
Maria A. at check-in was super helpful. The lake view in the back was very nice. Price was reasonable.
- 5/5
Stayed a second time, staff are excellent
- 4/5
great service, nice view, comfortable room. Only things that could be improved are the carpet really needs to be shampoo'd - made our feet dirty walking on it. And the breakfast eggs and sausage weren't the best. Other than that, it was great and would stay there again, but with slippers on :)
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was very nice also. The staff kept the food supplied and the area clean.
- 5/5
Spacious suite with a couch & bar area . Perfect views of the bay! Definitely be back and will request that room!
- 1/5
Outdated and smelly rooms
- 5/5
We arrived 3 hours early and were just planning to drop our bags off but were told we could check into our room early at no cost. We haven't even asked about this option since we were so early. We were pleasantly surprised.
- 5/5
Wonderful place with delicious breakfast
- 3/5
Changing carpeted floors to linoleum. Carpet was dirty. Hated to walk on floors with bare feet. The bathroom, though clean, had a slight mildew smell. As with the room. Unless you opened the sliding door the room was very stuffy and we opened the window at night.
- 3/5
Hotel was fine. Good staff and amenities. However location is not good. Whilst the river front views are great be aware you the hotel is in the middle of a regeneration dockside scheme, you are surrounded on all sides by derelict industry and all the issues that brings
- 4/5
Yes, nice
- 5/5
D
- 1/5
Rooms are so musty I had to switch a few rooms still musty.
- 5/5
Checked in late and Kim was so accommodating and friendly! Was able to have a delicious breakfast with vegetarian options, fresh fruit, and a variety of pastries, each morning. There is also a bar with a good selection of beers and wines. The night I arrived in my first night I had some chicken tenders and tots for dinner which were good. The bartender/server there (Alyssa) was also very friendly and the cook was nice and quick too! There are beautiful water views, it is convenient location, and there is a bunch of friendly, helpful staff.
- 1/5
I paid but ended up leaving, the front desk lied to me about using cash for the deposit so I went around town looking for an atm then got denied of cash payment. The women who helped me was super passive aggressive and needs to fix her attitude:)
- 3/5
The room was fine but the. The housekeeping staff can use improvements.
- 2/5
The hotel itself was fine -- room was clean and nice enough, bed was comfortable, etc. The main reason I was unhappy with my stay has to do with parking. The hotel charges $17 per night for parking (this fee is buried way, way down at the bottom of the information on the Hotels.com page -- you wouldn't see it unless you were really reading all the fine print). This $17 fee is a TOTAL RIP-OFF, because the parking is not in a secure garage or even a secure lot -- it's just an open parking lot, in a not-so-safe area of Oakland (I know Oakland well because I used to live there, so I knew what the area was like -- just wasn't expecting to be charged $17 to park in an unsecured lot in an area where you really can't leave ANYTHING in your car without a fairly significant risk that your window will get smashed in). I had a LOT of my belongings in my car because I'm currently on an extended road trip, so I had to lug all my things up to an upper-floor hotel room because it's unsafe to leave things in your car. So I was pretty pissed off when I was charged $17 for parking. It's not like this is a downtown area or other place with expensive land where a charge like that would make sense. It's basically just a big rip-off, and the Hotels.com site doesn't display that additional fee prominently enough in the hotel pricing that guests are likely to be aware of it before booking. I regretted making this booking and wish I had stayed elsewhere.
- 4/5
Room was clean and the staff was friendly. Great place for the price.
- 4/5
Only downside was the poor design of the shower. No door to close off the shower area to keep water in...and the one half barrier there blocks one from warming up the water without having to stand under the shower head while doing so.
- 4/5
Room was clean, friendly staff. Nice hotel bar too!!
- 5/5
Enrique was the best! Thank you
- 5/5
Clean room stood out the most.
- 5/5
Very nice view from our room staff is very friendly when I visit the Bay Area this is where is stay I highly recommend

On a positive note the room was lovely, the view was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good.
- 5/5
The staff is always warm and welcoming, they honored our needs at midnight with no issues.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel. Great staff. Nice size room. I received a ADA although I did not request it. The counter person said they were balancing rooms /guests. This made it awkward to shower because everything is low.
- 5/5
Excelente, recomendado 100 %
- 5/5
Quiet, great location we booked our room with balcony and it's water view, overall we enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
The staff at The Executive Inn are top notch!
- 4/5
The estuary behind the property is nice for a nice. Our room was nice and decent breakfast.
- 5/5
Maria A. Checked us in and made sure we got a room that matches our needs. Great service.
- 5/5
Room was clean, we faced the freeway side so it was not as quiet as I thought it would be, but it was fine overall. It was conveniently located. I would recommend this place.
- 5/5
The guy on the front desk was amazing, told me about the pupusa truck outside and was very helpful.
- 5/5
I love this property because it’s quiet and it’s great for a staycation. There’s not a lot of fuss so it’s not a lot of shopping every single way I mean it’s San Francisco but if you wanna just get some good rest and some good decent hospitality, I would go here.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, except the shower in the bathroom, it doesn’t have a door and the shower made the bathroom floor completely wet.
- 5/5
Check in was pleasant and smooth
- 5/5
Nice staff, very accommodating. Good breakfast options.
- 5/5
Great value for price. Will be checking in again next time in Oakland
- 4/5
Very good value & great location
- 5/5
The interior needs some paint and new flooring on the hallways.
- 5/5
Very welcoming and helpful staff
- 4/5
Great view in the back of the hotel and nice place to walk. The room smelled a bit musty and the air conditioner was SO noisy that it was difficult to sleep.

The staff are kind and attentive, the room is quiet, and free breakfast is always a great thing.
- 4/5
Fairly clean too
- 4/5
Lo único malo es que no me han devuelto mi depósito y ya pasaron 5 días de mi estancia
- 5/5
Clean comfortable accommodations and professional staff.
- 5/5
The staff are wonderful, very professional and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. My granddaughter loves the pool area. My one complaint is having to pay for parking, especially in an area that’s pretty isolated, there’s not much around this facility and it’s not like all the spaces are taken. Having said that, it’s not the first time I’ve stayed at this facility and it won’t be the last.
- 5/5
No issues with the stay.
- 5/5
It was great!
- 4/5
Gym is very limited. Washer/dryer are broken. Elevator out of service. Blackout curtain is too small for window frame. Fridge barely works
- 5/5
Kim Bradley at the front desk is always amazing!! We stay here a lot and we are always thrilled to see her at the front desk. Breakfast is great and we absolutely love the steak and salmon dinners. While you did not bring back the On the Rocks drinks, the new ones (Kaya, or something like that) are a nice replacement. Overall, always clean, great service (lots of staff to deliver it), and beautiful views of the water. Great value for the money!!
- 5/5
Very nice property
- 5/5
Great staff took such good care of an out of state high school football team!
- 4/5
Cons: my room was non-smoking but had a distinct smoke smell, freeway outside of window was pretty noisy but not nearly as loud as the air conditioning!
- 5/5
The service was wonderful. We will absolutely be back!
- 5/5
Loved the view of thr arena from my little downstairs patio.
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly

We informed the front desk and housekeeper about the toilet…the response was “meh!”

It is very gross. There was a roach in my shower.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The front desk staff was lovely, personable, helpful and friendly. I had a beautiful room with a view of the Lake. The breakfast served was a real breakfast which was quite tasty. Parking was easy. I would stay at this hotel again. :)
- 5/5
I truly enjoyed my two-day stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent—beautiful views, delicious breakfast and dinner, and an ideal location for visiting both Berkeley and San Francisco. The front desk and restaurant staff were exceptionally kind and professional. A special thanks to Maria A., who went out of her way to place our rooms next to each other. I loved my stay here and will definitely return.
- 5/5
Maria and Kim welcomed me with a warm smile and positive energy. They upgraded my city view to a bay view. That was my first visit to Oakland in 30 years. Thank you for making my work trip better. Appreciative of you both:)
- 5/5
Excellent experience overall. Great breakfast options and very clean hotel. Thanks!
- 5/5
Nice view of the estuary. Friendly staff. Good location. The breakfast is decent with a nice area to sit. Overall great, cozy stay.
- 5/5
Was great service
- 5/5
Customer service was absolutely amazing. Dinner was great. Fun bartender, beautiful view. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Pretty good budget hotel. Breakfasts are a bit strange
- 4/5
Room had lingering cigarette smell. There was a food or blood stain on carpet near dresser
- 5/5
We wanted someplace in between downtown and the airport with a view of the Bay and this was it. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was well appointed and the bed was just right.
- 5/5
I
- 5/5
everything was great
- 5/5
Loved Enrique at the front desk. So knowledgeable, kind and superb customer service.
- 5/5
The staff is uniquely friendly and kind, not a surprise at all since they're in Oakland, but a nice reprieve and reminder of my Oakland roots each time I visit.
- 4/5
The property was good and the staff did a good job, but the area around it is not positive, even less at night time. The hotel experience itself is good.
- 3/5
The hotel on one side is very nice but the rooms overlooking the city is terrible. There are homeless people around the hotel so it gets very sketchy. Even the nice part of the hotel gets sketchy at night because of homeless. The inside is very nice. Breakfast is good and employees are very nice.
- 1/5
Room is not clean
- 5/5
it was a nice experience
- 5/5
Beautiful place and great staff
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
The hotel staff was very helpful and kind. The room was clean, but a bit run down. Good breakfast biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage, The area you can tell was a nice area at one time. Now the outer areas are run down and didn't give the safe feeling. I would stay again if it was a quick stay.
- 1/5
travlosity gave me a package deal all taxes and fees included. went to check in they charged me 17.50per day for parking ,I could park on the street for free but signs every warned abouy break in and theft! I should get a refund for parking since they would not honor the package deal.please respond ASAP Joe
- 5/5
One request… please bring back the On the Rocks drinks as part of the front desk bar. Also, so sorry to see the price increase for the great salmon and steak dinners. As I have said in prior reviews, those dinners were the best deal in all of Oakland! Very high quality made to order meals for a super reasonable price!
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
It was a very comfortable stay, the hotel had such a good all-around environment, in the middle of OAK. Nice views, nice continental breakfast, we spent some time in the hot tub and met very nice people who were staying. Got some delusions Margaritas at the bar too!
- 2/5
The surrounding areas is very scary
- 4/5
Semi-bay-front location with outstanding scenic view into the west.
- 5/5
We had a beautiful king room with an amazing view. The front and bar staff are very friendly. We had a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
In town for work overnight. The manager was very helpful and service oriented......The Room was so peaceful working at the desk in my room hearing the birds. Great food in the Bar/restaurant or sent to should to try the food its great . I will defenitley stay there again should the need arise
- 5/5
Always nice and love to view and love to be by the water.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel by the water.
- 5/5
Wasn't there but overnight but would come back would come back. Close to things I am interested in.
- 1/5
Starting from the customer service Maria was a Disgraceful and Rude person. We left a day early because we were so unhappy. I spoke to the Manager Miguel and have contacted the corporate office.
- 4/5
All in all a good stay. I would have preferred some kind of night light in the bathroom but I dealt with it. All in all the room was comfortable, the king sized bed especially. Two sticky spots on the rug near the desk was all that was a miss there. The view spectacular. Breakfast was well provided.
- 5/5
I visit this hotel often. As always it was clean, comfortable and accommodating. Staff was helpful and went above and beyond. See you guys next time!!
- 1/5
The TV was no working. And we call and sone body fished
- 5/5
It was a delightful one night in Oakland & the view & location made it even better
- 5/5
The staff especially Frontdesk, (Kim) were especially professional kind and helpful
- 5/5
Thanks

I had a wonderful experience at Executive Inn & Suites in Oakland over Memorial Day weekend. The location is peaceful and right by the waterfront, which made for some relaxing views—especially in the evening. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the little balcony overlooking the water was a bonus! Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was plenty of parking. It’s close to Jack London Square, and we were able to use Uber to get around easily. Breakfast was simple but fresh, and the overall vibe of the hotel was laid-back and safe. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing spot in Oakland without the chaos of downtown, this is it. I’d definitely come back!

- 5/5
Beautiful location. Always good service
- 4/5

Lived my stay the staff was professional and friendly.
- 3/5
Didn't like sinks being is
- 5/5
Close location to airport and rental car agency.
- 5/5
Nice clean. Really good view. Quiet.
- 4/5
It was a bit noisy at night over the weekend with people slamming their doors until after midnight. It was graduation weekend. Road noise constant unless you got a river view room. Beds comfortable. Water warm, shower pressure adequate. Breakfast included. Geese & goslings fun to watch at breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 4/5
The property is a bit dated, but decent.

- 5/5
Good value, surprisingly clean and impressive atmosphere
- 5/5
Nice property overall, great ambiance
- 5/5
Staff was great, especially Kim. Clean, nice facility with good breakfast. Paying $17/night for open lot parking seems steep. Close to freeway and not far from a marginal area, but still a gem by the water. Recommend paying for the bay view side. A great choice for the area.
- 5/5
Nice safe location
- 5/5
Very nixe water view and easy freeway access. Nice staff. My stay was comfortable.
- 5/5
Kim the receptionist was very nice and very accommodating,we’ve been on this place more than 10x already:)
- 5/5
Best hotel.! I just wish they had bathtubs.!
- 1/5
We booked this hotel specifically for the hot tub. After checking in we find out it was out of service. During check-out we asked the front desk person if they could at least knock off the parking fee for the inconvenience. They said no and that it’s been known the hot tub was out of service. What great customer service. What’s more is she gave me the business card of the owner and suggested I contact him for my request but that it would most likely be rejected. Left a bad taste, probably won’t be back.
- 4/5
Great stay
- 5/5
quick check in and nice service
- 4/5
Bad area with overwhelming homeless population and tons of trash in surrounding area
- 4/5
That was relaxing
- 5/5
Excellent staff! Loved staying by the lake.
- 2/5
It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review. The room smelled like sweat and feet. The continental breakfast was also terrible. Not to say that free breakfast is great, but even the quality of the coffee was very bad.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
I would like to give thanks to Luis and Ricky for being very professional when checking in.
- 4/5
This time our experience was hampered. At about 2:30 am both by husband and I woke. Both of us havibg a hard time breathing. WE we able to get back to sleep about an hour later. We asked to have our room changed. Which was granted but w a $30 charge. Not to happy about the charge. We are hoping they investigste the issue.
- 5/5
Have stayed there before always clean and most times the front desk people are very nice. This time around not so much. The lady that checked me in had worked overtime and wasn't happy about it and was talking to the gentleman behind the counter about another employee and not me. When she was giving me the rundown I felt like I was getting scolded or reprimanded by my mom. Over all the room was clean wasn't real happy with the freeway view or the riff Raff next door motel 6 but you guys have no control over that LOL. Buffet breakfast was awesome as always!
- 2/5
It’s not what I used to be !
- 4/5
The pool was heated which was nice! The area around the hotel was not nice and there was a major highway across the street making it noisy. A homeless encampment was also nearby which was not mentioned and may have changed our decision to stay there. The water view room was so nice though! Definitely way better than the city view of a highway and dirty area.
- 5/5
The service and environment was second to none.. very impressed
- 4/5
Keycard kept failing every day!!
- 5/5
Good price, close to my destination.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience. Needed a place because my grandson is in the nearby hospital. Had my 2 year old grandson. They were so sweet to him. Then some things didn't work in the room so they quickly changed rooms and helped with the move. Everything was easy.
- 5/5
Amazing Location.
- 4/5
The bed was comfortable but the noise from cars on the street was too much
- 5/5
My experience was great good customers service for all the people and that is one of the things that I loved most.
- 5/5
Luis O. The front desk specialist was professional and knowledgeable. He catered to all our needs and offered us an upgrade for nominal fee. The lady bartender and cook were very helpful and patient with us. I’ll definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
LOVE THIS HOTEL, BOOK WATERSIDE AND REQUEST FLOOR 2 SO YOU HAVE A NICE BALCONY
- 4/5
Katherine was very helpful and nice. All staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Great place! First time biding the Bay and my bf and I are having a great time here !
- 3/5
Overall decent hotel. Didn’t think there should be parking fee.
- 4/5
No one want to call the front desk at 8pm to have the TV fixed. Buy new TVS. 2X NOW. We will find better.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great, and the front desk was super helpful
- 5/5
Service staff was friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
was what i needed
- 5/5
I enjoyed everything about the place it was very peaceful and staff was very helpful and kind
- 4/5
I was disappointed to pay for parking as this was not located in downtown city limits.
- 5/5
Every time my husband and I come to the Oakland/Berkley area we stay here in a WaterView room, accommodations are excellent.
- 5/5
From all the hotels I have stayed, the breakfast here is the bomb! I loved the vegetarian options, the fresh cut up fruit, the waffle machines (x2), the continuous refills, the eating area was kept clean, loved the various pastry options (gluten-free included), I can just taste the freshness. Thank you for this! I will be staying here again and will be my first choice next time I need to stay in Oakland, CA.
- 5/5
Property is quiet and peaceful on the Estuary side of the property with a great View. Staff is excellent and helpful.
- 1/5
Needless to say I booked for two weeks. On the morning of day three I called the front desk and shared my experience and requested a refund. I was told that so long as I check out before 11AM the hotel would refund the remainder of my stay.
- 4/5
My only comment would be the dryer was super loud on 3rd floor. Was concerned the guests by the laundry would stop my clothes cuz it was so loud.
- 5/5
Easy and safe parking, 10 minutes from down town Oakland. Hotel was clean, friendly and quiet.
- 1/5
There was no attempt from management to accommodate the guests. We all deserved our money back for the huge inconvenience. I was not able to rest once the alarm originally went off. The staff or management did not offer an apology unless the guests complained. Horrible experience and customer service
- 5/5
There were a false alarm at 4:55 a.m. The alarm kept going off and on for two more hour's. I still don't know what caused the false alarm.
- 3/5
Nothing
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The happy hour is convenient and reasonably priced.
- 4/5
Great price, awesome staff, and property is well-maintained. Wheelchair accessible too. Free breakfast 😋
- 4/5
My room was never serviced in the 4 days I was there.
- 4/5
it was at an okay location.
- 5/5
It was a nice stay
- 5/5
The staff needs to be more welcoming. More friendly. More smiling
- 5/5
Everything
- 2/5
I have stayed here several times while my child is hospitalized nearby. It has been a convenient place to stay. However, every time I've stayed, I tell myself this is the last time I go there! The view at breakfast is probably the best thing I can say! There seems to always sketchy individuals around the property and staying there as well. Granted I've stayed here maybe less than 10 times in the last 2 years, I've never had a great experience! The bed is comfy and room is usually clean! I'm exhausted when I go there after long days at the hospital so that is important. But nothing special. You get what you pay for!
- 5/5
Beautiful view of San Francisco Clean comfortable
- 5/5
Enjoy the convenient to local locations.
- 5/5
It was a very convenient location. Easy access from the freeway.
- 5/5
I always stay here
- 4/5
My room faces to the freeway and the window cannot be closed completely. Thus, it is pretty noisy.
- 5/5
Definitely reserve a room with a water view.
- 5/5
It was a great stay
- 5/5
Everything was very great
- 2/5
They take deposit to use the amenities which is $100, and when you use $90 they automatically take another $100 for “just in case.” The food isn’t very good and over priced. For an extra $40 a night you can upgrade to a view of the water which isn’t worth it. Checkout is at 11am and we were being rushed out by house keeping at 10 am.
- 4/5
a good place to be, very clean & quiet, nice water view
- 5/5
It was nice and quiet room was i good size
- 3/5
At a first glance everything looked clean. However when I woke up on Friday morning I saw ants in the bed. I do not like any sort of bug and felt very uncomfortable and disgusted that I was laying on ants.
- 5/5
Poor hot breakfast options. Good coffee.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Kim was very helpful as was the rest of the amazing staff there.
- 5/5
Miguel at the front desk was exceptional.
- 3/5
Would have liked the water side of building rather than parking lot and freeway. Very limited menu.
- 4/5
Nice quality hotel. Great view
- 3/5
Stayed here in July for a funeral. The hotel was able to assist me and my family with the services after the funeral which I am very grateful for. Parking was fine and there is security. This was not an ordinary experience for me as I was mourning the death of my mom, The meeting room we were in was just fine. I was not a huge fan of the hotel room but we were able to do what we came to do.
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and staff friendly. View was amazing.
- 4/5
Good property, but there is a homeless encampment around the corner.
- 5/5
This is a nice hotel. My go to hotel when I’m in Oakland..
- 4/5
Overall it was a nice stay. Super quiet. Property is older and needs some TLC-perhaps that adds to the charm!
- 4/5
Hours for the bar were a little limited (10pm on fri/sat) for me personally and obviously not the Hotels fault but since a bartender was sick the service hours were cut even shorter. I want to compliment the staff, everyone was wonderful and attentive.
- 5/5
Getaway with a great friend.
- 4/5
It worked
- 5/5
Really enjoyed my stay and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only thing is that it's not pedestrian friendly, it's better to call an Uber or Lyft. Other than that, definitely recommend.
- 4/5
I would say clean the windows by the pool overlooking the water and make sure the hot tub jets works. Also inform people of the parking fees. But honestly… the staff was top tier. They were so helpful and accommodating. I will be going back.
