Reviews
The hotel is undergoing renovations, causing some inconvenience such as closed amenities and construction noise. Guests have mixed experiences with cleanliness and room conditions. The staff is generally friendly, but service can be inconsistent.

Like the outside space available

The facility was clean and in a good area. Across the street from the convention center as well. The room I was in is an exception that the nob to flush the toilet didn’t have enough tension to properly lift the seal inside to flush the toilet, but I managed by lifting the back cover and lifting the arm it’s attacked too to do it manually. It’s a very simple fix I doubt it will be a problem by the time I return.

Nice, big, clean room. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Free breakfast. Within walking distance to the Chiefs game. Everything could ask for.

It was a smooth check-in. The room was clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. Easy access to downtown, East and West Peoria
- 3/5
I have stayed there many times because of the convenience to my conference but this the most uncomfortable stay. It was dirty and there was no comfortable place to work.
- 5/5
I thought the property was a very nice and convenient location. I did not like the landscaping… plants in the window when we pulled in. I felt bad for anyone close to exit doors. The doors slammed hard if you didn’t hold them.

We loved the staff and the room was very beautiful. Very close to the things we wanted to do while we stayed. I remember signing papers from times for noise but the hallway on our floor was loud all the way up til midnight. Didn't enjoy that at all.

The breakfast was very good. I liked the variety of options. The pool being under renovation was disappointing to my friend. It would be good to note that on your website.

I liked the full kitchen, the room layout and the breakfast selections The pool was not open and the breakfast started too late. I was not given coffee packs that worked in the full size coffee pot

Super friendly!
- 5/5
Only issue is pool was closed and we weren’t made aware until check-in.
- 3/5
At check in, the receptionist checked us in with the wrong name who was booked for 3 days. Had I not fully reviewed the check in paperwork, I would have been billed for 3 and someone would have had a bad experience checking in. At check out, I asked if they needed anything from me. The same receptionist who check me in the both before just nodded no and “You’re good”. We went on our day. I didn’t see the three phone calls from the hotel, asking me to call them back. Message stated if we didn’t return to our room by 12p, all of our items would be put into storage. I called to verify we did in fact remove ALL of our belongings (at 9a) and this was likely the initial mixup with the other party who is staying for 3 days. The woman who answered said “No problem. It’s been resolved.” She didn’t even ask for my name or any other info. I presume she knew what I was referring to. Room was clean. Good breakfast choices. Clean hotel. Pool was out of service.
- 4/5
Comfortable, quiet room. I was disappointed the pool was broken and it seemed difficult to get extra blankets
- 2/5
Upon check in they gave us a room someone was already in. When they relocated us, they recharged us. For a 1 night stay they ended up taking $425 from our account. Our room was two full beds instead of a king and noisy! It sounded like we were near a generator or the furnace room. Toilet and shower were dirty. Overall, not a great experience. Close to the venue we needed to be at so that was nice.
- 3/5
Stayed for NYE, tried a hotel closer to where we usually go out for the night. Nicely update but definitely not as clean as I would have expected. Breakfast was more simple than the usual continental breakfast I’m used to and was cold. The price was good for the overall stay and the suite was adorable.
- 1/5
Bedding and towels had obvious stains. Room was not clean.
- 5/5
It was prefect
- 5/5
Good check in, great location.
- 5/5
Room was spotless staff was great
- 3/5
Would have been a great stay, but the pool was not available. We were told it was due to renovations. I'm disappointed that we were not notified in any way that such a big amenity would not be available. That's the reason we chose this hotel over others nearby. I'm also weary of hearing "you booked through a 3rd party" when asking for more information about our stay. When a hotel room is booked, the hotel is provided with the guest information. There's no reason a hotel could not notify a guest in advance that certain amenities would not be available.
- 4/5
Clean units. A little dated building but friendly staff. Breakfast had a waffle machine. Big hit!
- 5/5
Did not find sugar or creamer for my coffee. Otherwise a great stay.
- 4/5
They only set back was we did leave some snacks on the counter and woke up to them. infested with ants. Went to the front desk they addressed it immediately and got rid of the ants.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff friendly. Outdoor area amazing. Only complaint stayed there 6 nonths ago was charged $50 nore for possible damages stayed end of august its now $100 more find that a tiuch ridiculous when the room was already paid for.
- 1/5
Do not recommend they have bed bugs !
- 5/5
Staff was nice. Property was clean and taken care of. Service was slightly lacking because front desk wasn't always there and at breakfast things ran out and didn't get refilled very quick...even 2 hours later they still hadn't brewed more coffee. Great place, just a little room to improve.
- 2/5
would’ve like a heads up about the pool being closed. other than that it was alright, a bit too pricey for what it was
- 1/5
Changed reservation to a 2 room suite and paid the difference but arriving at hotel they wanted to charge us over $100 more for 2 beds vs one. Then sent us to a room that was not clean with unmade beds.
- 5/5
Great.
- 5/5
This is the place to stay when you’re in town for any events at the Civic Center. It is just a short walk across the street. We love it here!
- 4/5
The room was nice and comfortable however we did notice some ants crawling on the carpet.
- 4/5
Very clean and modern hotel. Good location for downtown events. Only negative is some staff are not properly trained to handle check in correctly/charging cards).
- 5/5
Great place to stay no issues at all stayed 2 nights and the breakfast was delicious
- 5/5
We stay here every time we are in Peoria! The staff is soooooo amazing. The room is cozy and accommodating. We 100% recommend and will return.
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Nice hot breakfast.
- 5/5
The rooms and common areas very clean. Outside could use a little freshening up.
- 5/5
Everything was Great! Access, Room, Very Clean, Staff was Great to
- 4/5
It was clean
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and staff very friendly
- 3/5
Average at best
- 5/5
Everything was great with the exception of check in It was a SLOW painful process. Many people crammed into the lobby and it took forever. Maybe training someone new? Friday night check in might not be the right time to do it Otherwise great stay as usual
- 4/5
Room was comfortable, clean. For cost and what you get in the room so worth it. Will be staying her again for another girls weekend
- 5/5
This hotel was one of the best we have stayed at in a long time. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- 1/5
Never use hotels.com. they bait and switch and no way to get money back. Needed 2 beds and paid 2x the single bed and ended up with one bed. Terrible, terrible company. Book direct through apps before using their bait and switch tactics
- 5/5
Associates were very helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Safe and quiet. Excellent room with full kitchen and separate bedroom with living quarters area. Easy parking and places to walk to for shopping and food.
- 3/5
I will say the pillows are better then most hotels. Unfortunately, not even 5 mins into a shower, the hot water turned cold. Upon going to the front desk, it sounds like it's a known issue and the building is under renovation but there is no signs or postage of it online. This would've had a huge impact on where I chose to stay. Conditioner dispenser is also broken making it for a rough AM start. Dishes left in the cabinet still had food residue. Bagels at breakfast were rock hard. Not a good price for the value
- 5/5
Kind staff, clean and decent breakfast. Rooms were nice and spacious. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Check in was so fast and easy and convenient the staff is welcoming answered every question I had definitely recommend for your next stay you won’t be disappointed
- 5/5
If you are attending a conference at the civic center, it is right across the street. The breakfast is pretty good.
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Freshly redone!
- 1/5
Supposed to be two beds just had one advertised with a hot tub no hot tubs and greeted with a full garbage can of peanut shells
- 2/5
something wrong with plumbing and ventilation - toilet over flew, shower problems, bathroom smelled bad, towels smelled bad, bad ventilation - kitchen greasy smells came up to third floor, heaters so loud when on
- 4/5
Waited 30 minutes at front desk for check in. Had to call some 800 number that then told us to wait one more minute. Ended up standing up front for almost an hour before someone finally came to check us in
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable, however, there was trash littered on the floor here and there in the room that we ended up throwing away. There is an expectation to have a discount applied to my rate from my stay, so hopefully they follow through.
- 5/5
Our room was very clean ans spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to stay!
- 5/5
nice rooms
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable. Pillows a bit too soft for my taste. Th3 decor is so pretty inside and out
- 3/5
We had bed bugs in two different rooms both on the couches. First room we seen one crawling on the couch and the second room, later that night, one bit my niece while she was lying down on that couch in the second room. After all that we just checked out the same night, which was right before Thanksgiving about 8:30pm and went back home to Ohio that same night. They offered to move us to a 3rd room but all the rooms have couches and we didn't want to take that chance so we left. They refunded one night back.
- 3/5
It was good. I solely booked this hotel for the hot tub and the hot tub was closed, so that was very disappointing
- 5/5
Great clean hotel, nice pool, amazing breakfast and breakfast area, large hotel room, with above average amenities!
- 4/5
The hotel, staff, and breakfast were all great. Our only complaint was we booked this hotel specially for the hot tub. There isn’t one. It’s cemented over. & the pool was on the colder side so we were only able to dip our feet in.
- 3/5
Room was in great shape, renovated recently. Great location near our intended visit. Down side... noisy outside near busy street, lots of traffic noise and bumpin' tunes throughout night. Pillows were akin to sandbags.
- 4/5
Everything was excellent except the breakfast lady. She needs some coaching. IK it says starts at 730 but some of us want to leave and have something before we leave. No one was getting near that area till 730. I just walked over to look and was reminded that 730 meant 730.
- 1/5
We had to request new sheets for the bed as they were dirty and had stains on them. No one offered us a new room or to change the sheets for us. Breakfast didn’t begin until 7:30 which was a huge inconvenience as we were there for our kids sporting events and needed to leave the hotel before breakfast was available. Every guest we spoke with as we all waited in line to get breakfast was upset about the late breakfast times. I was also charged an extra fee and we didn’t leave the room in a mess or destroy anything. We will not be staying at this hotel again.
- 2/5
The hotel was close to the convention center which worked for me. The hotel had a fire alarm go off at 2 am while we were sleeping -- they did not call it in within the 5 minutes - I CALLED IT IN - and the 911 operator was surprised. Then - it went off again a little after 3 a.m. -- apparently the fire alarm was not connected to the fire departments alert system. THEN - I made also made a 1 night reservation the night before my expedia reservation took place. The hotel charged my credit card for TWO nights - for the one night I was there - before this reservation took place... so a double charge. NOT GOOD> I am still haggling over that. I will not go back there.
- 5/5
It was a nice suite. It was clean, air conditioning worked well, had soap, shampoo, and conditioner despensers instead of tiny bottles. The kitchen even included cups, plates, and dish washing supplies, and paper towels.
- 5/5
Hotel was recently remodeled. Felt clean and fresh. Staff was very polite and friendly.
- 3/5
Concierge did not mention about the pool being broke or the hot tub was not available.
- 5/5
It was a good trip. The service desk was really nice at accomodations. Glad I stayed there.
- 4/5
The hotel is currently under construction. Due to construction certain services are limited. There is limited staff available during certain times of the day. The staff I did encounter were helpful and friendly. The rooms and appliances are clean. The continental breakfast was well prepared and promptly stocked when items were low.
- 3/5
Almost everything was under construction, including the phone lines! And this was not revealed on the site when booking and only booked about 3 weeks out. Staff was friendly, but unable to assist with issues. Limited items like no extra pillows and no extra wash cloths. Rooms were updated and very clean.
- 5/5
Excellent experience i will be booking with them when i go to Peoria
- 5/5
Excellent staff and servie good breakfast andnclean rooms!
- 4/5
It’s a little noisy because of downtown but service was excellent! Property is currently being updated and will be amazing once completed. Very kind staff and responsive. Overall was an excellent stay
- 2/5
Hardly any amenities were available, the breakfast area was torn up & menu was limited, as well as seating. Half of the appliances in the room didn't work, including the tv in the bedroom. Felt very shortchanged for getting a suite & receiving none of tje perks. None of this was communicated by the hotel before check-in. Plus, the hotels.com website didn't say anything about a change in ownership from a corporate hotel to a franchise. Way too much money for a poor experience.
- 5/5
Hotel is under renovation but still exceptional. Bring your own snacks though.
- 5/5
Very nice staff and room was very clean and comfortable
- 4/5
DIDNT DONTHE RIGHT JOB TOO THE HOT TUBE WAS OUT THR PATIO WAS OUT TOO AND THE BREAKFAST YOU EAT IN THE ROOM ALL THIS UNDER CONTROCTION. BAD AND ITS ASHAME TOO EXPPEDIA
- 4/5
Hotel room was nice, clean, and had good air conditioning. The hot tub has been filled with concrete and the pool was green.
- 5/5
The property is undergoing some renovations but don't let that stop you from booking a stay. It is a fresh well organized property with all amenities as advertised. It is a easy drive to the hospitals and has easy access to the restraunts by the river. This is a great hotel.
- 4/5
Hotel room was nice, clean, and had good air conditioning. The hot tub has been filled with concrete and the pool was green. At 11:15 am we got a phone call stating check out was 11am but on the back of the door with the emergency evacuation plan it states 12:00 noon. When we informed staff of what the sign said they told us we could have a late check out and could stay until 1pm
- 5/5
This hotel is still undergoing a renovation. It's really looking good but not quite finished. The room was really nice with a full sized refrigerator, 2 burner stove top, microwave and dishwasher. Breakfast was good including eggs and waffles. We had a very comfortable stay.
- 3/5
Staffs are great.
- 3/5
Hotel is under renovations. Pros: Rooms are nice, breakfast ok-nothing special. Cons: Hotel is in "downtown", but without car you can not even buy a water. Front desk cleark was MIA, chilling out at the patio while we were wanting to check-in, with another guest. His welcome area looked like his personal storage. No extra blanket for the pull-out bed, and whoever left their soap in the bathroom, it is still there! Patio is a total mess and pool looked very green, so we skipped it. No hot tub...
- 5/5
Went there after a horrible experience and enjoyed myself As well as my daughter. The suite was BEAUTIFUL and I will be staying again.
- 3/5
Room was dirty, we needed to use self-brought Clorox wipes to clean the room before we could touch anything. There was a couple stains on sheets and the toilet seat was up when we walked in with piss stains on the bowl. It was under construction, but rooms were nice and finished, just dirty. Guy at the counter during check in had the worst garlic breath I had ever experienced, had to take a few steps back. Usually I would never personally say that about someone, but it was insulting that you go around someone smelling like that.
- 5/5
Reasonably priced and just moments away from downtown peoria.
- 1/5
The hotel is under major renovations the staff was friendly but kept complaining about how people steal everything and they steal towels dishes coffee pots the pool was closed breakfast didn't have enough food. We didn't get to eat. The people next to us had a huge knock down draw out brawl no one came to stop it and they would not call the police so we got to listen to a man beat his partner for at least 45 minutes. I paid for 2 beds didn't get the room I paid for
- 3/5
It’s currently being remodeled so it’s 1/2 nice and clean, 1/4 construction zone and then 1/4 run down and dirty. The room was great. We were missing coffee, dishwasher cleaner and some other small things housekeeping missed but otherwise it was very clean. The public spaces are run down and (ie: the dining area). Breakfast was disgusting one day and the next day just fine. The hotel was overrun by traveling baseball teams and families. They were LOUD, HORRIBLE AND RUDE but that’s not the hotel’s fault but it did affect the overall stay. The dads were drunk in the parking lot, the kids were running the halls and playing loudly outside my window at 2:30 in the morning, the kids were manhandling all the breakfast food with their barehands and leaving those things for other people to eat. Again, not the hotel’s fault but the staff couldn’t keep up with that many people. Based on staff, facility and room- it was alright and I’d stay here again for convenience to the convention center.
- 1/5
My tv didn’t work told them twice was never fixed. Worse stay there ever
- 5/5
It was clean and fast check in
- 2/5
Hotel was under renovation and this was not listed on any site. Upon checking in I was told the pool, fitness center, and other amenities were not available. While the room was nice the 2/3 of the towels had holes in them like an animal had eaten through them. They were clearly worn out and should have been tossed. The coffee pot in the room was missing pieces and the kitchen area was missing most of its silverware. There was just too much wrong to keep listing. Maybe after the remodel they will have it all figured out.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our 1st stay at this hotel. Overall everything was really good, except the pool & hot tub area was closed the 3 days we were there and we didn’t know why. Also when putting things in the refrigerator, there were still pieces of food on a shelf, like the cleaning staff didn’t clean it out. So I thought that was odd. The complementary breakfast food was very good & the people working in the kitchen were very kind & helpful! The bed was very comfortable & the pillows were nice & big & soft! We went to a concert at the Peoria Civic Center & this hotel is perfect to walk from to the venue! It was a great stay overall!
- 4/5
The room was nasty there was garbage still left from the previous guests. The pull out bed still had the same linen from the previous guest
- 3/5
Under construction, pool closed and since this was a trip for little kids to swim, it would have been nice to know prior so we could make other arrangements. Evening appetizers advertised didn’t exist. Rate should reflect amenities that you don’t have.
- 5/5
Our room is restored lately, clean, clean and clean
- 4/5
Hotel is in the middle of a renovation. Rooms were excellent and spacious. Hot tub , ice machines not working. Breakfast was meh
- 5/5
Nice, clean everyone was friendly and great breakfast. No complaints . I just wish the jacuzzi was working.
- 2/5
I paid for a King bed, I did NOT get a king bed. The hot tub was out of service. No towels in the pool area. I was supposed to have a bath tub and it was a shower.
- 5/5
We are frequent concert attendees and ALWAYS book here! Not only is the location incredibly convenient for any Civic Center events, the staff is always welcoming and helpful. The new renovations are top notch and this is by far one of my favorite hotels to stay at! We will definitely return!
- 5/5
Was a last minute book, needing to stay somewhere for the night. Price was decent compared to what else I could find in the area. Place was a lot nicer in person than in photos I thought! Overall good stay, would stay again!
- 5/5
I loved how the staff made me feel like family, everyone was very nice.
- 5/5
Rooms Very clean , spacious and the pool at very nice temperature.
- 4/5
The hotel was undergoing some major renovations as was evident by the mountain of old furnishings and appliances in the East end parking lot. Well that did not affect me in anyway the only issue I had was that my room, being close to the elevator, did not have Wi-Fi working during my entire stay. It was necessary to go to the lobby to use wi-Fi. Everything else I thought was stellar including the morning breakfast. I would definitely stay again
- 1/5
booked in mid October 2023.They canceled on us at the last minute. Saying water main broke. While I was still in the lobby they were checking other people in. I think they just gave me an excuse so they could charge someone else the extra $100 the rooms were going for that night.and they had my payment for 3 months and im sure that money made them some earned intrest and by them making money off of me and me getting no service it is atleast fraud if not theft of sevice
- 5/5
Coffee is always there and a very nice room.
- 2/5
Had issues checking in because nobody at front desk. Coffee left from last guest in room, and fire alarm going off at 4am. I've had better stays at much cheaper hotels.
- 4/5
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Shower was so awesome. Very disappointed that the hot tub doesnt work the man reason i booked there.
- 5/5
Loved this hotel!
- 3/5
Fridge didn’t work in the first room moved us rooms and fridge didn’t work there either
- 5/5
it was great
- 1/5
Place was dirty. Poor Customer service and bad pluming.
- 3/5
The property is in a perfect location for events at the Civic Center. The staff was pleasant & courteous. With that being said the original room booked was not available due to remolding. When checking in the desk clerk said they didn’t understand why Expedia was allowing that room to be booked. We settled for a king room with pullout couch. The pullout was unacceptable as a sleeping option. The hotel is also very worn and used. The bathroom was not very clean. There were also people loitering in the parking lot.
- 5/5
Walking distance to peoria arena
- 4/5
We stayed as a family. My kids loved the pool and we loved how big the rooms were! As a family of 5, there was plenty of room for us. It wasn’t the cleanest place I’ve stayed at, but we felt like it was safe and clean enough for our toddler to scoot around the room.
- 1/5
I'm not one that would usually write a review, but I felt that I must this time, to save those they make look to book at the Staybridge Suites in Peoria, IL. I booked a 2 room suite for my family. Upon arrival, I noticed that the hotel did not look as modern or clean as the pictures showed, but didn't get overly concerned at that point. Once inside our room, I did notice a lot of dust throughout and an odd pink substance on the side of a door. Again, not what I would prefer, but I'm not going to complain. I started getting ready for bed and went into the one bedroom only to discover a bug crawling on the top of the duvet. Upon closer inspection, it appeared the bug was very likely a bed bug. This is when I started to panic, as the last thing I want is to be exposed to bed bugs and then travel back home with new little friends. My daughter videoed the bug, I bagged it up, and then proceeded to explore the sheets and mattresses. Luckily, I did not discover anymore bugs in my search, but honestly I was doing it quickly and just wanted out of the room. I took the bug to the front desk and he asked what I wanted to do? What I wanted to do??? I want to stay somewhere that is bug free. I told him I did not feel comfortable getting another room and would like a refund. He said he didn't charge me anything yet. I explained that I had already been charged by Hotels.com. I was then told that Hotels.com would have to reimburse me. Hotels.com worked with me after speaking to the hotel.
- 2/5
Gross rooms, terrible service
- 4/5
Service was really good once the line went down at checkin. Upgraded our room due to construction to a nice suite. Only issue was the hard floors were sticky.
- 5/5
The staff was nice and location perefct.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good, and it was within walking distance to our event.
