The hotel stay portion of our visit was great. The wedding that we attended could have been better. Banquet staff did not have the bar stocked for a start time and had difficulty getting a simple draft beer system set up. They seemed uncomfortable working a cashless system. Tables were bussed from dinner but filled with dessert dishes and drink cups and bottles all night. Guests cleared tables to make room for drinks and conversation.

Our room was clean and comfortable, some of the hallways areas could’ve used a little more attention and our shower hadn’t been restocked which was unfortunate because I forgot condition, but the staff was great.

Incredible hot breakfast and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Very comfortable and accommodating with everything you would while staying at a hotel
- 3/5
I didn't like the kids unsupervised and throwing trash in the hallways, running and screaming and bumping into people. In addition, playing hide and go seek at 2;30 IN THE MORNING IN THE HALLWAYS WAS NOT CONDUCIVE TO SLEEP.

It has a big lobby and common area. Breakfast was phenomenal. Rooms are spacious. Rooms seem a little bit outdated. Needed a little bit more cleaning. The couch had stains on it. The carpet looks old, but overall it was clean.

It was clean, had great food, and the staff was amazing. The 5am fire alarm going off because of the small fire.

It was clean, had great food, and the staff was amazing. The 5am fire alarm going off because of the small fire. ? and there was one housekeeper that wasn't so friendly. She kept knocking on our door after she was told we had a 1:30 checkout. I cant remember her name but she was a black lady and her mom worked there as well. I know from experience that youre only suppose to know once after checkout hours and she knocked twice.

I chose this hotel because of the high ratings, but the room cleanliness was unacceptable. Before I could even put my belongings away, I noticed thick dust all over the outside and inside of the closet door, the bathroom counter, and even the tissue box. I attached photos and videos because the dust buildup was very obvious. I am sensitive to dust and spent the night sneezing and feeling uncomfortable instead of resting. I also contacted hotel management with proof, but never received any response. Very unprofessional customer service and extremely disappointing for a hotel with such good reviews. Honestly, it makes me wonder where all the good ratings even come from.

The location was good with a nice view to the river. Room was spacious. Breakfast was subpar with cold food, extremely loud in the courtyard. Staff was inattentive when issues were brought up because of loud guests. Kids running around made the place incredibly dirty. I understand kids running around during normal hours, but after midnight was unacceptable.

The breakfast was really delicious, the staff were rather friendly. There are some cons. They have water fountains, very pretty but some dont work and actually had trash in them. The bartender for the evening cocktail hour was overworked but also rude. I actually got upset and crued later. I didnt pay money to go on a trip and have a lady roll her eyes at me. Literally made me not want to go to cocktail hour one of the things that was a highlight of the hotwl.
- 5/5
The breakfast selection was good you could get omelettes made to order. The fitness center was clean and had good free weights and good cardio machines. The staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
The Embassy Suites is an excellent choice. Love the suite style. Beds comfortable. Front suite area is a great place to unwind. The breakfast is excellent: it is real food cooked fresh. Love the open atrium design. Happy Hour provides an additional relaxation option. Great hotel.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. Parking lot was being repaved
- 2/5
Outside areas had cigarette butts all over Breakfast very nice with pleasant staff. Bartender on 2 nights extremely frustrated, rude, throwing things. Children allowed to race around floors, yelling, had to call front desk 2x up to 11 PM. Would never use again as very expensive for a sub-standard facility.
- 3/5
Hotel was adequate, musty smell in room upon arrival. Biggest disappointment was pool was freezing and totally unusable for our grandkids, which is one of the biggest reasons we were staying at hotel.
- 5/5
The location was great! 4 minute drive to the theater, but in good weather, it would be a nice walk. The hotel is right on the river so the view was really nice from our room. Everyone from check in to check out was extremely kind. The breakfast was delicious! I don’t have anything negative to say.

Christina was a gracious and attentive bartender who made every visit enjoyable. Mehdi was the most gracious host and truly went above and beyond by printing work materials for me when I needed assistance. And we cannot forget Allesia, who continued to follow up throughout my stay to make sure everything was exactly what I had hoped for. The level of care and customer service from everyone made my stay memorable, and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

The pool was extra salty to the point it burned our eyes and couldn't swim. The pool was smaller then expected, not much room to swim especially when its full of children. There was no hot tub. The breakfast was bland, not very pleasing.
- 5/5
The cook went out of his way to make a little girl a cheese toasty for breakfast. Loved that.
- 3/5
The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options Room wasn’t the cleanest and air conditioner didn’t work. They did fix it, but still wasn’t very clean. Sheets had stains, walls had stains.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, friendly hotel staff, spacious room, and great view The elevators took quite some time (5 mins) certain points during the day due to high traffic, so we had to wait and hope it came or walk the stairs from the 5th floor. Breakfast was basic with limited options. The check in line was extensive (5-10 minutes). Parking was definitely sketchy too with signs in 2 seperate parking lots telling hotel guests to park at their own risk. The other parking lot was only for the convention center and was $10.
- 5/5
The room was super clean, staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing many different options to choose from.

The Embassy has all the amenities you would expect. It is just in major need of updating. Our rooms door looked like it had been prayed open at some point and not really repaired. The couch was lumpy and had stains on it. The tv remote in the living area did not work. When we asked about it they didn’t even say ok, we will get you a new one. The just said it probably needs batteries, didn’t offer to fix it. We did find out that the bedroom one worked the living room tv.
- 3/5
What I booked is not what they tried to give. Paid extra for king and river view. Got no river view with 2 double beds. Fixed after went back to front desk to complain. Kitchen fire at 5 am Sunday cleared the building for an hour. Breakfast was not great. Staff was not good about refilling anything really on breakfast buffet. Also $12 a day to park and didn’t have enough parking to get close.

- 5/5
Nice large, clean room. The breakfast was excellent.

Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because you have to pay for parking at this property. And more often you have to park across the street.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice hotel.
- 3/5
I didnt eat in the place but i did have a drink and selection was limited, my room had to fix the air, the remotes to tvs need new batteries and the coffee maker in room barely worked
- 4.5/5
The location is a bit odd to get in and out of and the parking lot is fairly small. There is a second lot a bit further away but is less convenient. One of our chairs was also broken and seemed like no one had noticed, went to pull it out and the leg just came off.

Nice rooms. Clean building.
- 3/5
Not the cleanest room, expected better for the price. Definitely needs a remodel-too many touch ups all over. Cigarette bitts all over the landscaping right outside multiple entrances.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've had. I would have liked happy hr to be extended for more than one hr. I didn't get to use my drink tickets because I arrived late
- 5/5
The breakfast was very good. None thing , everything meet my expectations .
- 3/5
Mid for the price, had to pay for parking in East Peoria where parking is not scarce which seemed ridiculous. Rooms seemed not updated, stained carpet, lots of loud kids and families
- 1.5/5
Extremely disappointing stay, I do not recommend. Stayed here only 1 night to attend a concert at civic center. This is a glorified motel, not a hotel. Holes in the wall covered with weird hard circular plastic, disgusting stains where the wall meets the carpet in several areas like someone vomited there, the curtains don't have an option to close them fully because the bar doesn't extend across the whole window, so people can see right into your room from the lobby and from outside. Since the curtains don't close all the way, the giant skylight outside of the room was shining in all night. We could hear the tv from the room conjoined with ours the whole time and locks on all of the doors seemed very old and sketchy. The mattress was semi-comfortable but the pillows were awful. 3 pillows to each bed, very odd. Overall extremely outdated, dirty, and felt very uncomfortable staying here. As far as free breakfast, they had a singular gentleman cooking with a gigantic line.
- 4.5/5

Room was very clean with a great riverside view, staff was super friendly, pool was great and breafast was fantastic. Also the elevator was a big hit with my five and six year old boys. We loved this hotel, convenient to restaurants, and we'll definitely stay here again!

Staff was friendly. Amenties were exceptional. Beds were comfortable, though the sheets were not clean. Thankfully I had broughten a lint roller to get all the hairs off the sheets before laying in bed. Overall it was good. Check your sheets.

Room was very clean. The facility was clean as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice open middle of hotel was pretty along with the multiple water fall features. Breakfast was made to order fast and very good. Morning breakfast staff was fast cleaning and clearing tables. Bonus evening reception with snacks and beers/drinks was a very nice touch. Did not eat at the restaurant that is onsite but they did have a decently large menu. Room service was available after 5pm. I would and probably will stay here again. This is definitely in my top three of Peoria area hotels now.
- 5/5
Rooms were super clean and huge! Hotel was clean and inviting. Staff was super helpful. Im in an electric wheelchair and the whole place was very accommodating. If i had a complaint it would be that the breakfast ended too early, especially on a weekend (Sunday) morning. We didn't get to try it

Friendly staff. Great view of the river. We enjoyed our stay here.
- 3/5
Overall average stay. The views are good and the external visage of the hotel is great but the rooms are outdated. The room we stayed in was pretty musty and had stained carpet. We had to request new sheets and bedding for pullout couch as it looked like it hadn’t been opened or touched in many years. Breakfast was excellent which was saving grace.
- 3/5
It was ok, their was one incident that made the experience not as great, when I arrived early to check in the front desk attendant said the initial room I booked was not available and that my room had to be down graded to a different room that was available, being tired from the drive in I agreed and ask about the price difference he said my room rate dropped to $130, the next day as I was getting ready to check out I inquired about how I would get the difference refunded as I had prepaid for my room, the staff said nothing was noted and that their was no downgrade so that was confusing and left me feeling unsure about my stay
- 3/5
However, the bed was comfortable abd clean. The made to order breakfast was top notch, the gentlemen that prepared our breakfast was kind and friendly. Barb cleared our dishes and wished us safe travels. However
- 4/5
Clean room and beautiful view. They’re a long wait times at the breakfast with only a single cook doing made to order. If you wanted to get bacon or sausage, you had to wait in that line as well.

Excellent room. Comfortable bed. Clean. Spacious.
- 5/5
It was amazing loved it
- 5/5
The room was clean and very spacious. More than expected. Front counter staff allowed to check in early and made us feel at home. Amazing breakfast in the morning with breakfast staff super nice. Happy hour 5-6:60 is always a plus. Definitely will recommend and will look to stay again if and when we are back in the area.
- 5/5
The food was ok. On Saturday, we had an omelette and bacon. In Sunday, I chose the buffet. The issue is there was a lot of people at breakfast on Sunday and the buffet was not refilled. We were there around 8:15 AM. There was hardly any eggs, potatoes etc. While we dined, it was not refreshed. I mentioned this at the desk when we checked out.

The Embassy Suites team was superb. Wonderful welcome and a clean room B'fast was excellent, too!
- 3/5
The hotel needs to be updated but the breakfast was good, we were not able to make the happy hour, and the staff was kind and did what we asked.
- 1/5
They are awful. First they tried to tell me my overnight room charge was the regular rate (about $325) I had to show them my hotel.com receipt. They then said part of the up charge was a pet fee if $75. We didn’t have a pet with us! They then asked if we brought a pet named Stella???? No. We did not. Then they asked if we took water from the mini fridge. Water? For $25?? No. There was NO water in our fridge. None. Next they added a $25 fee to my credit card at 3:22 am on Sunday. Asked about this and they told me they didn’t know what it was for and “couldn’t see anything” on my account for that. Even though I was showing them my credit card charge. I insisted on a receipt for the correct amount. Sadly this included an overnight parking fee for $12 to park in an uncovered parking lot adjacent to a steak and shake. I’d never stay there again. Someone is to steal from the till w bogus guest credit card charges. Had I not gotten an alert on my phone about a charge at 3:22 am or if I’d just left my room keys in the room and left, I’d have been charged close to $400 for a $186 including tax reservation. Horrible customer service

Millions of cigarette butts around the outside. Had to pay extra for parking. No free WiFi and the breakfast was cold and the staff closed it early. Won’t be back.
- 3/5
The Riverview from my room on the 8th floor was beautiful, the cobwebs outside the window not so beautiful. The room was ok, the sleeper sofa looked old and worn out. No glasses/cups in the bathroom. The carpet outside the room was stained. The green carpet inside the room was old and faded. Finally, the mattress on the bed was not comfortable and of poor quality and did not provide a restful sleep. I expected more for the price I paid.
- 5/5
Buffet style continental breakfast and made to order options available. I did receive a complimentary drink voucher but I didn’t use it.

Quick overnight trip. I like this hotel, even though a little more costly than others in the area, the made to order omelettes/pancakes/waffles along with bacon and sausage and the buffet can't be beat!! I will see you again :-)
- 2/5
Old and rundown needs to be updated for the Price air conditioning wasn’t working in the room had to call maintenance to fix the air conditioner in the room

I called earlier in the day to inform the hotel we would be arriving later in the evening for a reservation we made back in July. Was told, thank you, appreciate the call and we will not give your room away. Upon arriving at 11pm, not only was our room given away, they did not have any more double rooms available. They only had 2 king rooms available and neither were cleaned. We had to wait for them to clean a room and then a family of 4 had to cram into a king bed and a pull out bed, which we all know how comfy a bar in the middle of your back is all night. There was mold in the shower, the carpet was beyond dirty and for the price, it was unacceptable. Finally by midnight we were able to get into our room, there was no offer of we will not charge you for cancelling, pretty much you have to wait. I was intending to stay another evening however, I found a better hotel for half the price across the river and moved my there. I was very disappointed in the service and the hotel overall. Definitely in need of a makeover!
- 5/5
Staff were quick to take care of issues as they arose. Tv was damaged prior to my arrival and not needed during my stay but the front desk was quick to make note to fix for next guest
- 3/5
There was some kind of police convention, many of whom were drunk and singing and chanting until at least 1:00 a.m. in the morning in the main seating area of the hotel that all of the rooms face. Just do a better job of cleaning and I will be back.

We were in town for our granddaughters wedding .
- 3/5
The room was ok, not great. The pillows are very musty/old smelling but we always bring our own so that was ok. The bed was soft/good. The room was very "stuffy" - no air movement. Need a vent in the bathroom and a fan/movement in the room. The room was basically clean/ok. Need to wash the windows. Breakfast was ok... buffet seemed kind of yuck ..... BUT the guy making the pancakes/ omelets etc. was fantastic. You need to make breakfast last til 10 on a holiday, regardless of the day of the week. And last... you have NO REASON to be asking people to pay for parking. That's nuts. I paid more than enough for the room to be nit-picked for parking. The location is fantastic though.
- 5/5
Everything was great besides our neighbors that kept calling for loud music when we were only listening to the tv
- 4/5
Overall was a great stay. The ice machines on many floors not working. Staff were very nice and accommodating. I would stay again.

Lack of communication, I was charged 3 times(still waiting for a response, as I was unable to speak with someone on the phone), i couldn't get into my room for over an hour, they figured out the battery was dead on the door after me trying to explain what was happening multiple times, changed my room and I was able to get in, but the room had dirty carpets and stains on the floor. When going to the cafe, there was noone to greet us, the bartender was gone for over 20 minutes, when she did return and I tried to order something off the drink menu, she stated, "I don't know why we have this menu, we don't have half of what's on it".
- 1/5
What i didnt like is your price was higher than hotels price u cant advertise what u see is what you pay i checked in and got double charged for the the room and take 5 to 7 days to get money back air conditioning didnt work very good shower had mold in it table was falling apart staff was really nice 12.00 fee for parking at a hotel that u rented it was a joke i am not hard person to please but it was horrible your service is a joke

Hotel rooms need rehab
- 4/5
Friendly and clean property. Breakfast was awesome. Did not like the fact we had to pay for internet access.
- 4/5
I think they have managed to forget about some cleaning. There were areas there were dust on the dressers, the microwave, dust in the hallway around the elevators. I’m not talking a little bit. I’m talking a lot. The carpet in the rooms are buckled. We have been to the embassy in the past. It’s time for an upgrade.
- 5/5
Everyone was smiling and happy!!
- 4/5
Very easy check in with good parking. Lobby had plenty of areas for socializing and elevators and stairs very nicely situated. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel and included made to order omelette and waffles. Very good size room with comfortable enough bed. Pillows could be updated they were very flimsy. Happy hour each night in the lobby with light nibbles. Two adult beverage complimentary at check in. Good location close to lots of dining options.
- 3/5
My room didn’t have a fresh clean smell upon arrival. I was double charged for parking we all came in one vehicle and was charged for parking twice since I booked a double room. I left message stating that, to no response.
- 5/5
Was there for 2 nights. He room service was excellent. The guest services checked in off and on to make sure I have everything I needed. They sent someone up to help with my bags when I checked out and even held them for me so that I could go and have breakfast. The people that were working at the event center were also excellent.

Trick- there is parking fees- huge parking lot- not even gated so anyone can park or walk through but still had to pay to park. Slow service- they only had 1 person at check in on a Friday night where they were full between a conference and a softball tournament; it took forever to get checked in. As a Hiton Honors was not offered a bag like we have in other hotels. The room was super hot despite the request to the thermostat. The bed was not comfortable and the sheets did not fit- they popped off the first time we sat on the bed. It was clean but very dated. Breakfast sounded good but waffle was rubbery, bacon way overcooked, scrambled eggs were super watery and cold and fruit was never restocked. The line for the omelette with only 1 cook on a busy Saturday morning was too long - we eat and the people at the table next to us were still in line for an omelette- no thanks. The employees we saw were nice but everything was asking for a tip. We were hoping for a nicer stay for almost $200 but very disappointed- will not go back and will look for other options in the area for next month.

Great room and great breakfast

The man at the omelet bar was great. He was fun to talk with while he prepared my breakfast. I believe his name was Marshall

Mold on bar in bathroom, couch was very uncomfortable due to age

It was a great experience

All of it

The staff was helpful and friendly. Onsite dining options and bar with other places to eat nearby. The outdoor furniture could use an update but other than that it was great.

Accessibility to the civic center and the downtown area

Reservations screw up my name, took more time to find me in the system.

They weren't as quiet as I would have liked. I could hear people in the halls and talking in the room next door. Breakfast was great - the Irish cook put a smile on everyone's face! It would have been nice to have hot coffee available 24/7. Not a fan of the parking fee.
- 4/5
The front desk person was absolutely wonderful! Overall we will be back just from the front desk lady alone! Her name may have been Jennifer. Not positive but she was just absolutely awesome!

Everyone is very friendly, the room was clean and comfy, breakfast buffet was good

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and looking forward to staying in the hotel overlooking the river. So we were shocked when we found out that we couldn’t stay in the hotel because it was overbooked. At least they could have notified us in advance. They sent us to the holiday inn which was not as good a location—several blocks from the river.

Huge beautiful property, nice rooms and staff, plenty of options at complimentary breakfast. Nice riverside seating outside of the onsite restaurant and bar.
- 5/5
I would certainly recommend this property to many others. Great breakfast, very clean and newer property.
- 5/5
Only downside was the parking they need more parking
- 3/5
Property is ok needs upgrading

It seemed the living furniture was worn a bit. Staff was curtious

Buffet was not it…

The riverside view was nice. A member of the morning staff was extremely rude and should consider employment outside of guest relations.

Great

Had requested a crib the day of reservations were made, AC was not working was given Fans instead, and lack of parking due to high school prom taking over. Couldn’t go inside to pool due to all the loud kids, and running through the hall ways.

Needs a balcony

The property is dated and we expected better from Embassy by Hilton. Our bed sheet was too small so once we sat on the bed the sheet came undone. When we grabbed the phone to call the front desk the cord on the phone was unattached and would not stay connected. The guys at the breakfast were very friendly and great.

Location was great! The room was cold because the thermostat didn’t work. The curtains had blood stains on it . The shower drain did not work well as it took a long time for the water to drain. The property is dated and needs updating.

Walls a little thin and carpeting dingy. But service/staff was great.

Was put in a handicap room (which worked out since I had surgery 2 weeks ago) but shower set up wasn't for handicap. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash all too high for handicap person to use. Got into hotel room TV wasn't working, they sent someone within 15 minutes to fix. Excellent made to order breakfast!
- 5/5
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was made to order by a friendly cook and was delicious.

Also, beware that there is a $150 hold for incidentals! Never had this much before!! Also they ask if you have a car and then charge you $12. This was not told to me and I didn’t know until I see my bill. This is a very nice hotel but seems to be very poorly ran.

Had a great stay the property was nice

Quality breakfast

Pool wasn't working even though I called the day before to ensure it was.

The Embassy Suites was known for its cleanliness and comfort; however, the room I occupied was not up to those standards. The carpet was dirty, and there was an unpleasant odor in the room.
- 4/5
We did have to call the concierge because a tv in our room didn’t work. A staff member attempted to fix it, but unfortunately wasn’t able to get it working. It was later in the evening so we just let it go for the night. Other than the tv, I would give the hotel an excellent review.

My biggest complaint is if you are fully booked and charging each room $12 to park, the parking lot should be taken care of and not have potholes. I normally don’t even comment on parking but with over 800 rooms, but let’s say’s 700x12= $8,400 for one night alone just for parking fees!! Let’s take care of the parking lot. As an additional $30 to your hotel budget PLUS $100 for incidental from which they take the parking fees.

Didn't get to check in, had 2 rooms booked and hotel would only acknowledge 1. Clerk would not take phone call from Orbitz representative to straighten out situation and wanted almost double the rate for the 2nd room. Absolutely no customer service -

All around great facility.
- 3/5
Rooms were okay, no shampoos. Breakfast buffet was decent.
- 4/5
The room was nice, basically a little apartment with a nice view of the river (we reserved river view.) It was quiet and neat. The bed wasn’t terribly comfortable, I actually ended up having shoulder pain for a couple of days. It was ok for one night.

We stayed at the Peoria Illinois location and had an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and accommodating.

great stay!

Great breakfast and fast service
- 5/5
The property is very nice but it would have been nice if parking fee was mentioned up front. Otherwise no complaints and the complimentary breakfast was far superior to most hotels even those of similar cost and quality.
- 5/5
Great stay and breakfast for the price! Hallway carpet could use an update but everything else was great!
- 5/5
Very nice facilities. Great view of the river.
- 5/5
Recommendable hotel. Breakfast is delicious.
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel are the best I’ve ever interacted with-so friendly, amazing service, kind and helpful!
- 5/5
Most hotels we have stayed, only served free breakfast buffet style. Here they actually have buffet and made to order style. What a fantastic idea! Nightcap at bar was quite cozy.
- 2/5
They ended up refunding both anyway because of the trouble I had. Nice hotel - good staff - crappy building conditions led to a sleepless night. The staff is nice - but when I got woke up at 4 am by random noises outside the room - they moved me - but I still lost two hours of sleep because of the loud consistent grinding noises.

Breakfast was great! Nice place.

Enjoyed my stay

Outdated. Needs new bedding. Stained brown mattress on edging, would not stay again. Breakfast was great, but had to pay for parking and wifi.

Really nice hotel on the river. Comfy rooms, pleasant service, in a good location. Really easy to get to downtown (3 min across the bridge). The included breakfast and cocktails in the evening are a major plus.
