the room was clean check in staff were nice breakfast was good. Paid extra for a room that overlooks the river and was disappointed in the view. I am spoiled to seeing water rush over the rocks and ducks enjoying. We did not have that at this motel.

Clean, good and well stocked breakfast We’ve stayed frequently over the years, but it seemed not as nice this time…smells in the room that clogged my sinuses , TV wouldn’t go on, no OJ for breakfast (only sugar water juices.

The property is very well maintained. It is always excellently clean and the staff is great. We love to stay at this property every time we travel to Pigeon Forge.

Didn't eat it it was mostly donuts The beds being so hard, I have arthritis in my back and with the beds being so hard when I would lay down maybe 10-15 minutes then get up I was stiff and sore. Up side in bathroom they had a grab bar by toilet and some grab bars in bath tub/shower. Out room on 1st floor which was good for us.

The breakfast staff was on their phone the entire morning, the room was never cleaned-evidenced by the remaining belongings of the previous guests, who left a hair scrunchy, hair in the bathroom and a razor cover on the sink. The bed was so hard I will be in pain for a few days following my visit. I will not return or recommend this hotel because the two most important factors-cleanliness and comfort, are not at all present!

The room we stayed in had a strong musty smell. We stayed in a king size bed room with jacuzzi. The musty smell was around the jacuzzi where people step out onto the carpet with their wet feet. The jacuzzi water did not get very warm. It stayed at less than luke warm temperature. The bathroom had a similar smell but seemed to be coming from the shower curtain. Nothing appears "dirty" it just had the smell. The bed was decent. I slept okay but my husband did not find it comfortable.

Room is clean and is described accurately. We got the parking lot view. Better if you can get the creek view. Lobby area is very nice. There's no ice machine on the floors. Breakfast has a variety of foods and beverages.

The place is a hidden gem. Right on the water and so close to all the places we enjoy visiting. They clearly had a no smoking policy but people staying there didn’t abide by the rules.

I would possibly stay here again, but my preference would be a newer hotel. It doesn’t have a gym, arcade, any amenities and it’s older. But I understand why it has high reviews if that makes sense.

The standard room I got was on the small side, but very clean. Yes, limited space, but I was there to sleep not hang out. The lady who checked me in was very nice, but my son had a different person entirely and she was not so great. Everyone and everything else was very pleasant. I would stay there again.

Room was comfortable, clean with nice toiletries. Breakfast was good but basic with only a few choices and variety was limited. But ok if you want a quick start to your day.

Only complaint I have is the beds. I've been camping and slept on the ground that was softer than the beds. I prefer a firmer mattress but I think sleeping on a rock would of been more comfortable. Over all for the price its a decent hotel. Clean place. Yes it does have some things that could be upgraded but its an older hotel.

Building was unsecure to random passerby; elevator to all floors of the inn is free to be used by anyone. Breakfast was not worth waking up for; normal for a free hotel breakfast. Complimentary items were cheap...the tissues are similar to sandpaper. Parking was interesting but not difficult. Definitely NOT the worst place I've stayed but will never stay here again.

Me and my partner stayed 2 nights... the room was ok, outdated and air conditioning worked ok... the HOT breakfast was mildly warm powdered gravy in a crockpot and biscuits with eggs and bacon... lots of other items like, bagels and toast, oatmeal etc... was not a horrible stay for the price...

We are on our 70’s. We were looking forward to setting by the fireplace in our room and enjoying the ambiance. The fireplace didn’t work. I reported it and was told “No it doesn’t work. I’ll see what I can do about it “. Nothing was fixed nor was I credited for not having a working fireplace.

The place was very clean and well maintained, especially for a budget priced hotel. The breakfast was disapointingly typical of budget hotels. The eggs, sausage and gravy were almost inedible. The location is wonderful with a park like setting along the river. And covered parking in the basement.

The mattress was so worn out you could feel the springs and the mantle, over the fireplace, was filled with dust.

Pros: cost and location, staff friendly and housekeeping was great. Water pressure in shower/tib was great. They have laundry vending machines if u need to wash/dry. Cons: my extra door swing safety lock did not work. As a woman alone traveling that is not good. Maintenance should check things regularly to ensure safety. The balcony rooms produce a lot of light at night because the balcony lights stay on. Curtains can only do so much. I wear a sleep mask so it was not an issue but could be for some. Also some of the balcony rooms like mine were close to the main road so it was a little louder. Balcony chairs were so uncomfortable. Beds were not comfortable. Too hard. I never used the pillows used my own. Breakfast never looked exciting so I can’t comment on the taste. I did get mini bagels and cream cheese and apple juice which were good.

The room looked kinda clean, I wish I had a UV light to check, showers pressure was so hard it could take your skin off, I like good pressure but not with a nozzle of streams spread out on a calcified shower head. The staff upon arrival was an acquired taste as she was more concerned about being on her phone then being polite and checking me in or even just talking to me. Same with the one I checked out with on the way out. Breakfast was not good, I have no intention to ever stay there again, I would rather stay at a Super 8 or Red roof inn.

Nice options for warm breakfast but switching options around would be more enticing. Our stay was 5 days with same breakfast menu everyday. Housekeeping staff excellent, very friendly as well when we met them in the hallway.

Very clean small hotel with a excellent breakfast

We came to Pigeon Forge for our 30th wedding anniversary and stayed here because it was close to the dinner shows. Everything was great! Guy at the front desk was super nice and it was so relaxing to sit down by the water. My husband stayed here when he was younger. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

My only issue was the beds were not comfortable at all. I tried both beds in the room and both were terrible.

This was our second time staying here and even though the hotel is a little dated, the rooms, and facilities were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The price was great!

This hotel was very convenient for me where it is located. Now the hotel is very dated it's old.. But my room though very dated seem to be clean except the floors but i wear slippers in the room so there that.. My bed was very clean inspect with a black light 😁same with the bathroom clean just old.. I'll stay here again when i come back next year. Oh the parking is perfect for me, covered parking on Camara looking my car yep that's for sure sold me to stay here as well.. The breakfest yep i enjoyed that very much. Just put some OJ out apple juice ok but OJ would have been good. That's all i have to say, so lord willing I'll see you next year

It was very cold, big storm came through so didn’t use the pool but it was very well cared for. The staff were very nice and the owner was there every day. Fairly clean, beds were hard, breakfast was ok but staff made you feel rushed to get through and out. Only a few staff members were friendly. After a day of sight seeing, came back to our room that evening to a leak in our room coming from the ceiling above. Management immediately moved us to a different room without even looking at the issue, so I feel it had happened before and they pretty much refused to comp us because I paid through hotels.com. We won’t be be returning.

The only con was is was cold and wet outside. I wasn't able to enjoy sitting out on the balcony.

Cleaning staff missed a few things that were understandable. Elevators were so slow we used the stares most of the time. But all-n-all it was a nice stay. Parking is tight forgot to mention that. I’d stay there again. Breakfast was fair. I’d give it 7 stars.

The listing pictures do NOT match the hotel or the room. I booked this place SPECIFICALLY because of the heart shaped hot tub featured in every photo of the hot tub rooms however we arrived to find a basic jeyywd tub. The lobby and hallwuad all very shabby and with a slight odor. It was OK for the price but I would have booked elsewhere had the photos been honest.

The carpet in the room was filthy- feet were black after walking on it. The beds were comfortable and ok for a quick night sleep. Breakfast options were good and was nice not having to spend money. Overall good place to stay if you need a quick/price friendly option.

Hotel is old, rundown. It could use some updates. Room looked renovated so maybe they just have not changed out the lobby. Did not eat the breakfast, did not have time. The staff was very accomodating. We called to see if we could check in early and our room was ready. We were very thankful that it was available for early check-in

This was an OK stay. The front desk staff was nice, but the breakfast and cleaning staff were rude and dismissive. Had the same person cut in front of me to serve themselves water and refill food stations. Literally pushed past me to do so. Rooms were ok. The view is not quite as described. You are in on the river, but against the parkway. Breakfast was subpar and the same thing everyday. Military eggs, reheated suasgae patties, and biscuits and gravy. Plenty of bread and pastry predicts. Hot water took forever to reach bedroom sink and bathtub. Fan in bathroom was inop even though we reported it to staff. I will likely not return. More convenient options with better amenities, nicer staff, and better breakfast.

The rating is based on the lack of quality of the bed linens, pillows were cheap and the "hard" mattress could be upgraded. Then again you get what you pay for..won't return for that reason.

This was a regular size room they slapped a hot tub in! I did not have a desk to work on and very cramped. I wanted to leave the room and go elsewhere but staff said since I booked on third party website I had to go through them. I did and conveniently the hotel manager was not available to cancel the reservation. Very dirty and mislead. Twice the price for a room the same size as regular room!

I stayed here for four nights. The cost per night was not expensive compared to other hotels in that area. The rooms were clean: Since Covid, I wipe down just everything I’m going to touch, with a sanicloth. Some places I’ve stayed in the past look clean, but when I wipe the handles, switches and the remote control, my white cloth is brown because house keeping didn’t do their job. At this place, my Sanicloth was absolutely white so they cleaned everything that you touch.The beds were clean. I slept pretty good. The breakfast was good, but no variety from one day to the other. There were a lot of good options, but it was the same food every day, which is OK because it’s saving money by not spending on a lunch or breakfast. Staff were very friendly and I had to switch rooms after two days and housekeeping got into my Room and cleaned up really quick so that I could just move from one room to the other and not have to wait until 3 o’clock to put my luggage in. Would I stay here again if I was in town? absolutely! it is an incredible value. I saw no insects, the rooms smelled clean, good air conditioner, and heater.

You should update those hard mattresses,I was so uncomfortable I slept in the chair.Mattresses were the worse part and no ice machines.

This is not a glamorous hotel, and the amenities are limited, however, the breakfast is serviceable and free, which is always good, the staff was very pleasant, and the room was perfectly adequate and clean with daily housekeeping, another plus. My only minor complaint was the electrical outlet in the bathroom was not working. I did not report it because it was a minor detail. But otherwise it was a nice day at a great price. Also, very conveniently located right in the middle of Pigeon Forge.

I was a little disappointed in breakfast; eggs were cold and no mixed fruit or yogurt. Room made my allergies go nuts. Needs to be dusted/sweep more thoroughly.

We always try to stay at Pigeon River Inn when we go to PF every fall. It is always very clean, the staff is friendly. The breakfast is typical for all hotels. The location is great. We love going out and sitting and walking near the river.

We enjoyed our stay at Pigeon River Inn. The beds were a little firm, but the pillows were soft so we slept good. The breakfast bar ended at 9:30am which was a little inconvenient trying to get ready before breakfast. The lady that kept it up was a little snarky, but bless her she worked hard to keep it clean and well stocked.

Room was clean, staff was nice, breakfast was good. The mattress was unbearable. My husband and I stayed two nights. The first night we tossed and flipped and flopped. We could feel the springs poking through to our bodies. We were sore all day. The second night I put three pillows between me and the mattress and it still hurt. My husband started to go sleep in our vehicle. We got hardly any sleep that night. We could hardly walk that next morning. We checked out on Thursday and today is Friday and we are still so sore we can barely get around. We did not go complain to anyone because we aren’t that kind of people. Our room number was 205. Please check it out so no one else will experience this. Like I said, that’s the only complaint. Everything else was great!

Our stay was only 1 night. Hotel was not bad, but was very loud. Could hear all traffic on Highway, noise in hall, and continued noise from AC. It all continued past midnight on a Thursday and well into the morning. Unfortunately-we did not feel rested in the morning, but it was clean. Breakfast was ok. Overall- we didn’t expect too much for price, but will spend a little more $ somewhere else in future to get a better nights rest.

we really enjoyed it here. great location at the end of the busy part of pigeon forge. room was clean and comfortable. enjoyed the room hot tub very relaxing after long days in vacation. enjoyed the fireplace as well. breakfast was great. front clerk was always nice. house keepers never bother us once, but acknowledged us and offered assistance every morning. probably one of the best inns we’ve stayed in. we travel a lot and this was exactly what they posted online for service

The location of the hotel was the best part the stay! The AC worked perfectly and the size of the room was nice. The breakfast was absolutely horrible! No juice and watery waffle mix! The sausage patty looked boiled and tasted like it too! The mattress was really hard. Will need a good trip to chiropractor after this stay.

Clean room, great service. We loved the balcony and tub, made for a relaxing stay. Location was perfect for what we had planned. The breakfast selection was pretty good, loved the muffins and make your own waffles. Coffee in the room was a bit week, but the coffee with breakfast was good. Rifle coffee company was maybe 5 minutes away if you're needing a fancier coffee and was amazing too.

The breakfast really sucks you have limited options and everything is microwaved. The rooms are small we had to put the coffee pot in the bathroom cuz there was nowhere to put it. But the place is nice and quiet clean and the hot tubs was nice.

My only concern was traffic noise at night. There was huge car show in town and the largest southern volleyball tournament, massive traffic all over. I could hear cars on the main road all night. Thankfully I brought a fan and sound machine. There's nothing the hotel could have done to decrease the traffic. For this reason, I'd recommend asking for a room towards the back of the hotel (fyi, the balcony rooms face the front/strip and side of building).

Older motel. Nice and quiet. Very convenient. Staff very helpful and attentive. If you are older and want a quiet place to stay in The Forge this is the place to go.

Enjoyed our stay. Served breakfast but we chose to go out to restaurants nearby to eat for no particular reason. Good place to stay and have no complaints.

Property was good, suppose to be a non smoking motel but several rooms were smoking on balcony which was drawn into our room. Staff did investigate quickly. Breakfast was very boring, same food everyday, needs to be mixed up. However, would definitely stay again.

We have stayed here in the past. The hotel is nicely priced and clean. We were in town just for a couple of nights to enjoy the dinosaurs in the Island with our three year old grandson and his parents. It was worth the trip.

Front desk was very helpful and very nice. Room was great. We stayed 3 nights in a King deluxe balcony river view with hot tub. It was absolutely perfect for our 20th anniversary.

Room was clean, bathroom was adequate. Very disappointed that we were on an upper level (and had quite a bit of luggage and bags) and the elevator was out of service! Breakfast was pretty good but they bring out small amounts at a time so you may have to wait a few minutes.

Good stay for price! We would stay here again. Room and property were clean. Front desk was nice enough but not overly friendly. Breakfast was good. They will not let you fill up water bottles or cups with water from machine in breakfast area. Beds are very firm.

Jay was wonderful to work with and so very accommodating. This was our 4th trip to the Pigeon River Inn and we will definitely be back next year.

The rooms are smaller than hotels I have stayed in. The pictures advertised do not look like the actual hotel. Most of the staff are not very friendly or welcoming. I stopped at a gas station for my preferred soft drink and they wasn’t friendly at all. It was advertised walking distance to many attractions but actually not. It would have been nice to have known that there is a trolley that would have picked you up at the bus stop to take you to the island. They only offer limited drinks in a soda machine and you pay $2.00 for a can of soda. The rooms are small but ok, the bathroom is very small. they serve the same thing for breakfast everyday and when they say it ends at 9:30 it really does. They don’t offer coffee all day only at breakfast they close off the small dining room so that you can’t sit with family to eat lunch or dinner at a table with any privacy. They do have tables in the small lobby. I was just expecting more and was disappointed, wish I would have just booked a room at the Hampton which where we stayed in North Carolina.

I have stayed in hotels where the room is only cleaned at the end of your stay or on request. These rooms were cleaned and beds made daily. I really liked this feature.

The motel was okay for a moderate price property. Cigarette and other types of smoke we're coming into our room from people smoking on the balconies. In the first room that we were in We had toilet issues and the room reeked of cigarettes so they moved us and that room also smelled of cigarettes but not as badly. The woman who runs the breakfast is incredibly rude and stares you down while you were trying to make food and eat. I wouldn't recommend getting the river view as the water is mucky and not worth the $40 difference. We decided we wanted to stay in the area an extra night and didn't really want to move our items and given the issues that we had had when we first got there we asked if they would allow us to stay in the room that we were in but at the price of the non-view since it wasn't very good view and they were nowhere near capacity and they scoffed at me and said no. One good point is that it is right in the middle of everything on the main strip so you're close to a lot of different activities. All in all this motel was okay

We had an amazing time during our stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful, check-in was easy in our room was perfect for our family of five.

Decent stay for a decent price, staff was nice and location is convenient for all things Pigeon Forge and/or Gatlinburg. Plus you'll see turtles, some fish, possibly a beaver and more than likely a heron (saw it last year too, must like this spot!) if you sit out back near the stream/creek (suggest bringing your own chairs for comfort if you sit ouside).

The river view is pretty, but mared by loud traffic. Service was great. Room is decent. Beds comfy.

The stay overall was great, the room we were in had a bathroom door that banged everytime we closed it (rubbing at the top), im sure the staff woulve addressed it but we didnt ask. Very convenient to the Hatfield dinner show and Wonder Works attraction. The breakfast ran out of eggs a couple times we ate there . Waffles were good. It is along the river. We had a family of 4, I would stay here again.

Staff wasn't able to give me directions. Told me to use google maps. Also, the rooms were in disrepair in terms of finishes. eg. gouges in bathtub and the doors had peeling paint/stain

I had a family emergency back home so we cut our vacation a dat short and headed home. The hotel did not give a refund for the day that we did not stay. That’s bad for business
