Nice place feels like home

We were in Texas for our oldest grandson's graduation. We made our reservation for 5 days over Memorial Day weekend through Expedia. We arrived on Thursday and scheduled to leave on Tuesday. Sunday morning we received news that we needed to return home a day early. I went to front desk to let them know and told I have to contact Expedia. I sent a message (of course no number to call) and notified them. No acknowledgement sent. On Tuesday I received an email saying the hotel would not waive their cancellation policy. Not sure what that is as we had already stayed 4 days. Going forward I will be sure to book directly with a hotel so f something happens again I will have someone to work with.

Although the decor was dated, everything in my room was extremely clean! The bed was very comfortable and the room was set up perfectly for my family to come and visit me. I loved my stay there and I will be back!

My bathroom floor was rotted through and collapsing through to the unit below me, I cannot believe they would rent out a room like this. Plus, being on the 3rd floor, water stains on the ceiling. I'd say this property is well beyond deferred maintenance.

Wonderful Breakfast. Nice Staff. Well stocked Kitchen area. Workspace more than adequate. I have been traveling for more than 60 years . I have never found a Marriott which disappointed . If you are looking for a good night's rest, avoid this place. The main bed was not the best. The pull out couch painful. The bars running under the mattress caused so much pain that my adult son pulled the mattress off the couch and laid it on the floor. I asked him if that was an improvement. He said "Yes, but it is still uncomfortable." I questioned the staff. They said that ownership knew about this and is planning to fix the issue. My question, " Why would a wonderful company like Marriott knowingly offer inferior commodations?"

Room was clean, older layout, convenient kitchen suite for long stays. There is a gym and the lobby has been renovated nicely.

The pull out couch in the room was not good. It was lump and you could feel the support bars. I finally just slept on the couch without pulling it out.

Location was convenient to highways and inner city travel. Grocery store and t=restaurants short drive. Breakfast was above average most days. Update on occupancy availability, researched extending stay and learned thee was no availability for an extension.

There was nothing unusual and the menu was exactly the same the second morning. The juice was off--bitter and too thick.

The room had broken tiles in the bathroom. My biggest issue is that I was double charged for my room and have had called 3 separate times to address the issue and have not received a call back, just lots of run around.

Very clean room, just a little too much furniture for my taste. The front staff was kind and professional and catered to our needs. The breakfast was hot and delicious with good choices for adults and kids alike. The breakfast staff which included Wendy was so nice and attentive to the cleanliness and that there was sufficient food for the guests. Coffee was good too.

Staff was beyond helpful. They really took care of us. We had booked multiple night but after first day our soccer tournament got canceled due to weather and they helped up cancel our booking so we could return home. Will definitely be staying here for next tournament

Mattress was filthy hotel has a bad smell

We have never had a residence in charge us for pets. If you check amenities in the filters on hotels.com it comes up as pet friendly. You get to the hotel and you find out you get a fee almost as much as the room. I can get on board for a deposit that can be refunded but a charge - I am paying for someone else’s problem pet or cleaning fees. We have reached out to the manager but she is never at work and never returns calls. Just a surprise charge on the bill. $150.

I enjoyed my stay at residence Inn and suites the clerk that checked us in was the most friendly,kind and patient person you can meet his facial expression stay the same with a smile feom checking me in to orher customers and he made everything easy even I took pictures od my room and bathroom and showed him his response was I'll get house keeping up right away and he did just what hw said and house keeping was very kind as well thank you for everything

We loved the two bedroom unit with sufficiently spaced.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were pretty big and spacious.

It was a good location. Close to lots of restaurants and a great grocery store with ready meat food. Parks nearby for hiking not far from downtown. The place itself is tired and needs to be remodeled a bit. That needs just fine.

The only complaint I have about this hotel was it smelled like marijuana in the hallways, breakfast selection could be better and lastly, they failed to remove a big air purifier machine that was sitting on top of the dining table inside the room

It was good. There should be some repairs to the floors. They weren’t level & were squeaky.

We booked the 2 br/ 2 bath unit. It was HUGE. The two bedrooms/bathrooms were on either side of the spacious open kitchen/dining room/living room area. There was even a gas fireplace and 3 large screen TV’s. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, etc. The only negative was the esthetic. Appliances didn’t match and the cabinets really needed updating. Everything was squeaky clean and beds were uber comfy. However, we booked and really needed roll in / walk in showers as we are both elderly. But both bathrooms had tubs. Overall we will definitely stay here again.

I had a great stay at the Residence Inn. The staff was friendly, and everything was clean. While the room felt a bit dated, it was well-maintained and comfortable.

It's a perfectly nice place to stay if you need to go to Plano. Its just not a charming area.

I loved the kitchenette and that the bedroom was separate.

We arrived at the property at 4:30pm and we were informed the room wasn’t ready for another hour. I had to change and do my makeup in the restroom. 30 minutes later we got a room but not the one I booked. Instead of a queen size bed we got a double bed. Our daughter slept on the sofa bed, that was horrible, the mattress was so thin she couldn’t sleep on it. We will not return to that hotel.

If you have allergies and/or chemical sensitivities like my family and I, this is a perfect fit with their Pure (hypoallergenic) program! Very friendly and accommodating staff as well!

It’s right across the street from my sons one bedroom one bath apartment so it’s very convenient

The room was amazing! Getting to the room was not as great. We arrived about 9:30 so it was dark and we had to drive around back to park. The parking was very near an entry door. I’m sure if we would have arrive in the daytime or even left after day break, we would have felt better. We were not scared just very observant.

Quite an amazing stay, the service, cleanliness and location... all made the stay very comfortable

The hotel and amenities overall were excellent however the rooms need some renovation. The counters were beautiful but the cabinets appear to only have been painted over several times and are in poor condition. The bathtub and surround, toilet are in desperate need of an update. It felt icky.

Really excellent all-around location and would recommend staying here for anyone.

The room had a slight smell of mold, the pool area wasn’t clean, and the pictures of the room size were deceiving.

Everything was perfect!

I was very impressed with the size of the rooms. The fact each had its own bathroom was a definite plus. It was very clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

The location is great and the rate very reasonable, especially with breakfast included and free parking. However, the rooms need a refresh. The window screens were broken and dirty, the carpets a bit musty, the towels rough, and some of the outlets didn’t work. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the tv and ac worked. All in all it was ok and for my purposes worked well enough.

We were on a trip with our cheer team. The girls were playing out side and some man was standing in the window watching the girl play outside groping his self. When we informed front desk, they said we told him to close the curtains. Will not go back.

Bathroom dirty, room was smelling bad, linen had to be orderd and sofa bed had stains. Room had to changed.

We are traveling from out of state. We accidently booked the wrong dates. After arriving late for Labor Day weekend, the Lady at the front desk was able to help me get a room for the night until we were able to speak with Expedia. Expedia helped us along with hotel to transfer the dates. I did have to go in the morning to the front desk and the Lady that was at the front desk Sunday morning was able to keep us in the same room for our stay so we didn't have to check out and back in. I also had to extend the stay on Tuesday and the Gentleman working the front desk was able to help and not move us rooms. The staff was so helpful and the ladies working the breakfast worked really hard keeping the food stocked during the weekend when there was a lot of people due to a soccer tournament. Good job to all and these two reasons is why I would stay here again.

Overall good. The property is beautiful and the amenities too. Enjoyed the variety of restaurants providing different cultural cuisine located nearby. The hotel staff is very friendly while ensuring customer satisfaction. Definitely will book again!

The room was great for a family. The neighborhood is very quiet. The only issue was that the breakfast room was completely overflowing with people and most of the food trays on the buffet were empty. We had to go to go a restaurant for breakfast.

We chose this hotel because of the outdoor pool and it's location. When we checked in we were told the pool is closed and would likely be closed tomorrow also. Closed because of rain?! I was told at 9:00am the next day they should know in 2 hours when maintenance guys comes in? I checked again around noon and was told another 2 hours maybe!?! This forced us to change our plans for the day! VERY DISSAPOINTING

One reason we chose this hotel was because the outdoor pool. When we checked in we were told pool was closed because of recent rain and may also be closed the next day! I checked at 9:00am and 12:00 the next day. Both times I was told “we should know in about 2 hours”. Not sure if it ever opened but it forced us to change our plans! Also bed was hard!

The mattress on the sofa-bed was ancient! BUT- can I give a shout out to Joel working the breakfast area. Saturday morning we got back from our race a little past breakfast cutoff and he was just the most super nice person. He could see we were hot and tired and I know he just wanted to get stuff cleaned up, but instead of saying NOPE you missed out he tried very hard to scrape up something for us. His attitude was A+

In town for a softball tournament. Room was very spacious and nice. Didn’t have bedding for the pull out, but called the front office and they had it delivered. Breakfast was good. Great location. Will stay again.

We loved that HEB was around the corner to get food to cook in the room, and other eatery’s super close by too. Front desk was so personable and not just what’s your name and hand you your cards. Breakfast was ok but it is free. We would definitely stay again!

My husband's Mom is in medical city in Plano and we have been coming to Plano every weekend for the last 10 weeks so we be with her and we love having a nice home away from home to be at at the Residence Inn by Marriott during this difficult time for our family

My first time in Texas and I was very pleased with the hotel. I loved every thing about the hotel including the location. When I needed information about places to eat, the staff was very helpful.

Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. The room was not in very good condition though. The baseboards were coming off and our bathtub leaked. The sheets had some holes in them and the towels and wash clothes had stains on them.

Reserved a queen with sofa bed, had no sheets or blanket for the sofa bed. Told that they would take it to the room. Never did…terrible. This should already be in the room before given access to the rooms

The room booked was not meant for 4 people. It has a queen bed and a sofa bed. But no linens for the sofa bed and only 2 towels were provided. We checked in really tired and wanted to sleep, but we were only able to get linens after an hour after making multiple calls to the lobby with just 1 pillow and towels still missing. We were tired and frustrated and finally walked to the lobby to get the rest so we can sleep. The breakfast was good. Room is spacious. Their service needs to be better. When booked for 4 people they need to keep everything ready ahead of time so the guests don't have to go through all this.

The sheets were dirty, there was no body wash, and we found trash under the pull out bed. The service was great, but the cleanliness was horrible.

Nice place great location. The iron burned a whole in a polo shirt of mine. I only touched it for a split second. Ruined a good shirt too. I have ironed this shirt at home many times.

The property needs updating. Our room was not clean, the vent over the stove stopped working the first day. The bathroom door did not close, the bathtub drain was broken and not draining properly, broken tile in the bathroom. Hallways were dirty and had a terrible smell. If you offer kitchens in a hotel, they should be cleaned properly and have better ventilation.

This is a very nice place to stay. The rooms come with a large refrigerator/freezer, mini stove, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, plates, cups, and silverware - so you can prep some of your own meals without having to go out to a restaurant. The daily free breakfast is good, too. If they’re running low on some items, all you have to do is ask and they will bring more out. It’s not a brand new hotel, but it’s certainly not aged by any means. I would stay here again if I ever needed to be in the area.

The front desk staff was very nice. The TV didn't work our first night, there was a 4' pile of soiled linens in the hallway for two days, the breakfast was abysmal - we didn't even eat, and it was not a very clean place. They did not service our room, so we were short on towels on the last day of our stay.
