Superb

Only the location. I didn’t realize there was a breakfast. The air conditioning system was not working properly and therefore everything felt damp from the floor to the sheets. Very uncomfortable. Was not supplied hand towels, only bathtowels and washcloths. The floor felt gritty to walk on. The bathroom door squeaked so loudly it woke up my partner in the middle of the night. There was never anyone in the office. You had to call them.

The staff was very helpful. The room was clean. The location was central located on every hot spot we needed. And they allowed our dog to stay for a very small fee. Would definitely stay again.

Staff was excellent, the manager Dee was very helpful with whatever I needed. She made sure our stay was perfect, asking if we needed any xtra towels, linen etc.. I will be staying there again in the future, they are one of the best places I stayed so far in Port Aransas… if you see this Dee thank you very much from room 104

Nothing trashy and the employees were so rude. Couldn’t find my reservation and couldn’t cancel because there’s so money hungry. I didn’t like that the property didn’t have what I wanted. Breakfast was nasty. The pool was with nothing but dirt leaves. My child couldn’t play in it. I do not recommend this property at all.

Nice room , pool , close proximity to local business like restaurant, shops , ect, early check out went easy , friendly staff asking how you doing , good morning ect Evertything was fine but my adhd was off the charts looking like bathroom was remodeled grout chipping, hole around exhaust vent , squeaky tub , look like had black mold behind toilet, soft spot in floor walking into bathroom all in 215, unless room cleaners dont report these things..idk about the other rooms but everything else was pleasant

My wife and I go to Port Aransas very often. This is the first time we stayed here. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently right next door to a grocery store and a very good diner across the street. Both a very quick walk from the hotel. The pool was nice and clean and there is an ice machine available. Hotel is only a few blocks to the beach and nearby restaurants. We got to meet the owners and they are very friendly and accommodating. We will now not stay anywhere else when we go on our beach trips!

Room was in good condition. The attendant was very accomodating and helpful, and made herself available for me to arrive early at 3 am and get another day added to the stay. She stayed in communication with me and kept me supplied in towels, soap, and shampoo. You have a very committed attendant who is good at her job!

My only suggestions are… 1. Update the comforters on beds. 2. Have hot coffee in the morning with yummy creamer in the lobby for guest. 3. There was an odor in room when we arrived. I sprayed my Fabreeze. It’s a musty older house smell. Hurricanes do that. Same thing in Florida places too. Plug ins are great. I still give it 5 stars. Not a single place is perfect. But I like this place. I highly recommend this place.

The first moment walking into the room it smelt musty, like mildew. If the AC was set low enough and stayed on it wasn’t that bad, so that’s what we did. The bed ABSOLUTELY amazing. Super comfortable! The staff was very polite and friendly. Would we go back? We would, but I’d bring a dehumidifier with me next time. For the price and location though, it was overall a decent experience. I would have given 5 stars but I feel like the cleaning could also use a little attention. The shower looked to have mold or mildew built up. It’s a mixed review, I know.

The refrigerator didn't work all that well. I wouldn't recommend putting anything in there where food poisoning may be an issue. The room had a very strong musty odor when the AC was running. There were short black hairs in the sink. Neither my partner or I have black hair. I don't know how long ago this renovation was that I read about from other reviews. The walls had gouges in them. The shower ring was detached from the wall. There was no closet rod to hang any clothes on. Whatever motel we've stayed at there's always been a closet rod. The beds were comfortable though. The motel is centrally located to everything you'd want to do and see. The check in person was nice but new. If you're impatient, this may be trying for you. I don't know if owner responses are auto-generated but when it was time to check out they told us just to leave the room keys on the dresser. There would have been no point bringing up any issues because they couldn't do anything about them. When we checked in We were assigned at upstairs room. We asked if we could exchange it for one downstairs. We were told we could for an additional fee so be aware of that. This was a short beach stay and all we wanted was somewhere to sleep so I wasn't expecting a lot. It would have been nice had the fridge worked etc. The pool was nice and clean. The waterfall feature was a nice touch.

Finally an ice machine that works. Shower had great pressure and nice hot water.

It was good price for a last minute trip and location was great. However did not like we could not park golf carts on their premises.

To be fair, this is a low star motel by the beach. It's a little humid and they're not going to make it sparkly just for it to be washed away. They are in the middle of a remodel, so things around the grounds just aren't finished. Also, none of the breakfast things were working. That said, it was clean, the bed was real comfy and it was close to everything.

I have stayed at this place many times before during one of the last visits they said something about a towel or wash rag was dirty or something to that affect. This time I show up about 6-7 months later and the lady recognized me then want a $25 dollar deposit, then it turn into it has to be a cash deposit, so I pay with a $100 bill then it turns into a $40 deposit. I have never had to pay a deposit at this place before and Expedia does not list a deposit for this property either, nor did a friend of mine have to pay a cash deposit a few days ago either. Sounds like discrimination to me. We travel all the time and probably spend over half of each month in hotels and never come across something like this. So I get to wait around on them to go check room so I can get my deposit back.

Updated and clean. Staff very friendly

Barely basic for $300/night. Not even a bath mat. I understand that it’s a resort town, but I had just left a beautiful efficiency condo for the same price ON THE BEACH with a pool and lovely ocean views. We decided to stay an extra night and the condo wasn’t available. Photos were very misleading, as well.

I like how the property personnel are friendly, attentive and helpful. The room was nice and clean, and the pool was comfortable with a heated temperature. I was a little disappointed with the TV that when we got back to the room to relax the Tv was not working. They did fix the problem by the morning. The price was reasonable for our 2night stay.

Not only did the bathroom have roaches in it. But within just a few hours of me being checked in the manager sent housekeeping to my room and this housekeeper let my dog out of the room. No one from the hotel even called to notify me. Animal control picked my dog up and when I confronted the manager and housekeeper about this situation they insulted my intelligence by lying to my face saying she never let my dog out only cracked the door and then shut it back and she definitely didn't let my dog out. I checked out the next day that morning however I went to take a shower NO HOT WATER. The manager told me I probably turned to the handle the wrong way because she just took a hot shower. She never offered to come show me nothing. And even though I only stayed there one night she charged me for two nights and refused to refund me the pet fee even though they let my dog out and never notified me. I will never stay there again.

When I reserved the room it didn't give me an option for Downstairs, since my wife is Disabled. So they told me we have downstairs but it will be 25.00 dollars more. I've stayed there before, so I thought they would give me the room for the same price. That's the only thing I disliked.

It was a four minute drive to the beach and surrounded by shops. The staff was phenomenal! The woman who ran the property was extremely kind, helpful and friendly. The property is typical to what you would expect from a budget friendly limited hotel.

I was a very late to arrive/check-in (almost 1:00am) and they waited up to check me in. A family run business that was very nice and took care of my special requests.

It was not good at all. Under the comforter on the bedsheets, there was like food or crumbs. I guess they didn’t clean it the walls are very dirty

Old property and poorly maintained

The property was kept clean and the facilities were great. The property manager was visible throughout our stay as she walked around making sure everything was okay. Definitely recommend this facility to friends and family. We will definitely be staying again-

Way overpriced for what it is, the "Palm Motel" is actually America's Best Value. Stay at Alister, it is cleaner and cheaper.

When we arrived the lady at the desk was very nice. She informed us there was no continental breakfast. hhhmmm.... I'll have to go and read the description again. For the cost, even in Port A, coffee and continental breakfast would have been nice. The stairs were tile and chipped with sharp edges. The cups in the room for coffee were dirty, cracked and one had a large chip on the edge (see pics). I spilled water on the floor the first night and used the shower mat to wipe it up. I left it dirty on the floor next to the trash can. When we returned the next day, it was open in front of the tub... that's a no for me. There was some kind of fan vent in the bathroom that didn't work and was super filthy (see pic). There were just so many things wrong, I stopped taking pictures. If you needed anything you had to call and wait for someone to come over to the office. The bed and pillows were comfortable but not so comfortable that I would ever stay here again. Don't let the pictures on the app fool you.

Room was very spacious very clean. The only thing in the bathroom was very small. It did have a little smell to it but after getting used to it, the smell just kinda like Lyndsey to stay, but overall it as a good hotel for the price in the location it was right next-door to one of the pop grocery store that has everything in it. The staff there was amazing.

It served it's purpose. No vent in the bathroom and had to ask for a working hair dryer for the wife as she forgot to pack hers. No complaints. Thank you for having us.

Location location location. I was able to walk to the grocery store, and grab a drink across the street. The facilities were great. My dad and I were in town for fishing and this place was perfect.

It is amazing out here

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen! The tub didn’t drain, there’s mold everywhere and roaches crawling around. Nobody in the office you have to wait every time you need them. Overall experience was horrible!

Friendly staff at check in (Dee) and check out. Great location and they were able to accommodate my first floor request (disability). The only issue I had was the bed is high and that made it difficult for me to get into. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for one night prior to our fishing trip. The room was a good size the A/C worked well. The covers on the beds were a little thin so the night was chilly even with the A/C at 74. Over all I would stay again no problem.

The owners of this property are incredibly sweet, caring and they are very accommodating. When our prior motel gave away our reserved room and left us with nowhere to stay they not only gave us a room they were very kind and loving to our dog who is being introduced into society. They have patience and really appreciate their customers. They would chat with us every time they saw us and it was just the most welcoming feeling. I highly recommend this motel.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. We had our Chihuahua with us and we had to pay $20 per night! That fee should have been listed on the website. We routinely pay a pet fee but have never had to pay that much if any fee at all- many establishments don’t have a fee at all for a pet to stay. Also, the ice machine didn’t work the entire time we were there and there was no breakfast provided. The hair dryer in the room didn’t work but they did bring us that did work in a timely manner.

Staff was friendly. My room wasn't clean. We got in to town late after 11pm went to our room. Our room smelled like mold. There was mold all around our shower handle. Our bed sheets were full of hair and our kitchenette floor was sticky.

This was a last minute booking, and was quick and easy to check in. The hotel was clean and service was great. We got a non-smoking room but had a bit of a musky smell to it. Luckily we had some air freshener and it cleared the smell right up. The grounds were super clean and there were cameras everywhere so that was a plus! Location wise, there are grocery stores, a CVS, cafe, and ice cream shop within walking distance of the hotel. Other than that, it’s what you’d expect for the price.

The ice machine was not working for the time I was there and the pool was locked and we couldn’t rent A golf cart to ride around with. They did not allow golf carts on the property. first and last time that I will stay there .
