The location was super convenient with easy access to the beach, food, and shops. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfy, and the pools were great. However, the Wi-Fi wasn't working, there was significant mildew growth in the bathroom, and the Adirondack chairs on the patio were falling apart.

Location, location, location! We had a cottage, loved having a kitchen, which came with coffee, thanks! There was also a laundry on site, which was very helpful!! Would definitely stay here again! They also rented golf carts, so you don't have to drive anywhere to get one.

The bed was comfortable. The windows gave plenty of light. The balcony The description was deceiving since it said pool view. There was a metal roof covering the view of the pool.

You cannot see the ocean from the building we were in, there were maybe 7 buildings total. The beach was only a block away, easy to walk the distance. Disappointed with the cleanliness as well as the kitchen not being stocked properly-silverware was enough for 1 person, very little pots, pans, no knifes

Great location with on premises cart rental. Very nice people and well maintained facilities.

However… The cabin itself was filthy upon first glance and figured we could get it taken care of while went to the beach. Stopped by the front desk to ask for it to be cleaned while we went to the beach and dinner. But when we got back, the old sandwich bread under the trash can and the febreeze was the only thing done. Here is the remaining list of things we encountered as the night progressed: - Freezer smelt like old fish (unusable) - Shower had red bacteria & mold - Dust all over - Blinds has greasy texture all over them - Sheets stained/possibly unwashed - Found dead cockroaches There’s a difference between old and dirty, unfortunately both are true here. After all this, they only took off the cleaning fee 😅 For a comparable price and location, don’t make the same mistake we did, go towards the newer buildings, south. We will be!

It was ok. I don't like that I had to throw my own trash at the very end. I only had a small bag but it seems like we pay for those services already. Additionally the sheets were clean but had stains, the shower curtain was clean but looked like mold stains or some other stains on them. They did give towels, ect. Beach was just a walk away. My service dog was able to stay no problem. Beds and furniture is not the best.

Double check which room you select. I was under the impression that my room would have a kitchenette. Plus there was a musty smell in my room.

There is nothing not to like, its a beautiful beach property that's 2 blocks from the water.

The only thing like able about this “resort” was how close it was to the beach! Our room was dirty, and we stayed in the “studio” which was located above a mechanic shop, tools were every where & broke down golf carts.

The location. It was close to the beach and to anything you needed. Nothing.

Property looked nice for the most part, however our suite seems to be forgotten as the entrance staircase was filled with repaired golf carts and parts and tools spread throughout the area. I could believe that our room was above this mess. The room number not labeled so I had to ask random guests what room number they were in and try to make sure we were above this mess. Mess in front of staircase of room, room did not look sanitized as garbage disposal and room smelled like fish, old coffee grounds with mold found in coffee maker, tv had no remote controls and they were old and placed in awkward positions high on wall where we could not reach them. Not smart tv’s., - A/C must had barely been turned on as room was extremely humid with slippery floors. Pool did not have restroom so I assume kids and guests would pee in pool. Very outdated furniture. Suite was not a good experience.

This is a family oriented property. We loved watching the children play in the pool and all of the families barbecuing. Great location to little shops and the beach.

We rented the loft that sleeps 8 and it was okay. Some of the photos were confusing so we weren't exactly sure what we were getting. There are three queen beds and one pullout that's basically springs with a thin pad on top. The staircase is a death trap. The kids were fine with it but if you have any older people, don't plan on putting them upstairs. The AC units did a great job though. Also, we thought the unit had a washer/dryer but it's a laundry room in another building. And the floor needs to be mopped. I don't think it ever has been. Overall, it's what you'd expect for the price. The woman at the front office was very nice though. And it's ultra close to the beach.

They came and cleaned the room again and took our pillowcases. When I asked for them back. I heard excuses. Not the best spring break but location was good.

Overall it was a great stay! The office staff was amazing. The only thing that ruined the vacation was the day of check out the housekeeping/cleaners were already knocking at the room at 9:20AM and unlocked the door and was about to come in until I stopped her. She goes “oh yall are still here?” I said well yes check is till 10AM and I have not even turn the key into the office. That was so unorganized and not safe. Besides that issue towards the end everything else was great!

Very close to beach and nice pool area. Rooms are very old and dirty. old furniture and outside building dilapitated. Few amenities in kitchen area. Very stingy with bath towels. Feels like management is sucking every dollar out of the place and putting nothing back in to make the asset nice for guests.

Stayed at dog friendly Seashell Village for a 2 nights stay when visiting in Feb 2026. Arrived late for check in due to a 6 hour drive to arrive from West Texas. We were given a room on the third floor and no elevator but room was clean and bed was comfortable. Close drive to beach and local restaurants. Parking is tight. No check out instructions in the room so had to return to room to remove trash before check out. Most rental units like this with no daily maid service will post check out instructions in the room and this would have been helpful. I mentioned this suggestion to the staff on check out and her comment was, "we don't post instructions in the room because you are verbally told instructions on check in". This is true but older people tend to forget instructions if not written down. Anyway, it is an okay place to stay for a no frills visit.

I thought the 4pm CheckIn was ridiculously late but having to set an alarm for a 10AM checkout was worse. From high prices to cold staff, book a hotel instead.

Room window shades did not block lights in back and in front of our room. Very bright when trying to sleep. ant traps were notici le in the room. Big rodent traps were on the outside wall of our room. I went to have coffee from the coffee machine and there were no cups. They required a $100 dollar deposit for the room. This place was rated exceptional by Hotel.com when I booked it.

Room was super musty and there was no blow dryer…. When asked for one there was no one to be found and apparently the staff had looked all week so very aware they needed to get one. There was a bug in the bathtub which is probably normal for so near the beach. The front desk was friendly and we really enjoyed the golf cart rental!

The cleanliness, quiet and comfortable

Location was excellent, but we stayed in cabin 11 and had issues with no internet for both nights and cleanliness. Coffee pot was full of old coffee and the room smelled really stale and musky. Also, when leaving we saw 2 German roaches near the refrigerator in the bathroom . Very disappointed with the overall stay but made the best of it.

Clean room comfortable beds & golf cart rental at the property

Very disappointing! It did not live up to the advertised expectation online! The only thing held true was the proximity to the beach! The rate should definitely be lowered due to the standards that I witnessed and was subjected to! The only reason I stayed was simply due to the fact I had already paid my money!!

The Seashell Village was an absolute clean and friendly place. From the staff to spending the night in the room it was definitely a great family place. They had all the essentials you need including kitchen appliances. Thank you for a great stay!!!

The cottage was nice the only downside was they told us at check-in that when we checked out we needed to take out our own trash. When we got into the cottage we found that all of the trash had not been emptied. It may be a good idea for you to spray for pests as we found a roach in the bathroom. Thanks

Booked a last minute trip to Port A. The location was the best thing we liked about this place. It is an older property and very outdated. The mini fridge and microwave were dirty. There was a coffee maker but no cups or sugar/creamer to use, so kinda pointless. There was a leftover have used Gatorade in cabinet. The shower curtain smelled like mildew. We were told we would get our cleaning fee returned but that never happened. Disappointed but it had good reviews but we did not have the same experience.

We made a last minute reservation to go for the weekend. Booked the room for the price listed. Gave them a call to find out their office hours due to a late arrival (9:15) she informed they closed the office at 11. Received a call at 7:45 saying they were closing early and that I need to provide my DL and a credit card via email. I was unable to get access to my cc so I emailed my DL and she told me to come by in the morning and provide my CC for "incidentals". Upon arrival, the room was in disorder. There was no TV in the entertainment center in the living room and the TV in the bedroom did not work, there was no toilet paper or paper towels. Not exactly sure why they needed a CC for incidentals because none were available or provided. When I went to the office the next morning she also charged me a pet fee for which I was not aware. The listing said it was a pet friendly hotel but never mentioned a pet fee. Very disappointed in the place, we have stayed there before and had a great expirence. The employees were partaking in some illegal activities while working on "cleaning" the rooms also. Not sure if we'll return

But we had to move to this space, (at no extra cost) because the original suite we were offered was unclean and the smell was terrible. There was mould on the closet wall in the bedroom and that added to the smell. Dust on the ceiling and wall in that area, so no deep clean for a long time. Windows were dirty, fridge was dirty. Had to ask for toilet paper and only one fork in the cutlery drawer. Cigarette butts, garbage and a bunch of hair on the balcony. So a bunch of things that put together made us feel like leaving. Fortunately we were able to change rooms to something much cleaner, more equipped. Its an older resort and it shows.

I was disgusted how filthy. I reserved a queen suite and was forced to stay in an efficiency. I was downgraded with no attempt to refund what I actually pre- paid for. Will never stay there again.

Blackout curtains would be nice along with pocket doors in bedroom to separate it from rest of space.

We had a late check in at this property so there wasn’t a front desk person to speak with. Upon check-in the room was not what was expected. We tried to wash our feet off bc there was sand on the floor and our shower didn’t even come on. The water was dripping but you couldn’t shower. The ceiling in bathroom had black mold. The refrigerator was dirty freezer matched. The bedroom wall had holes in it and all over our room did not look clean. When I spoke with front desk person at check out it was just a “I’m sorry we have plumbing issues”… this place takes $100 for just incidentals at check in.. I expected to at least have a clean room and a shower that worked. This was my first time in this area and I wasn’t impressed

There are roaches in the room, pots & pans are very used, the furniture very outdated, carpets are old, ceiling fans have a lot of dust, the only good things about this place is the convenience to the beach & the AC very good, but we won't ever be staying here again & will not recommend to anyone.

This hotel advertises close to the beach, walking distance and a kitchen. It has a refrigerator and a microwave in the bathroom it is several blocks away from the ocean. I've never slept in a bed more uncomfortable. The room itself was tiny. This has been the worst experience I have had with Hotels.com

Location to the beach

It's charming, we were there right after school started again so it we nearly had the whole town to ourselves! Can't imagine having to deal with all of those beach buggies on the road!

The staff were easy to work with and tried to be helpful. The room we were put in was not what was booked. We were moved to a different room that was a bit more what was advertised. After moving to the new room we found the floors were filthy! You had to wear shoes or your feet were black. We had to wash our feet before getting in bed the first night. I asked to have the floor mopped while we were out for the day. It was mopped but that left a greasy/slimy mess on the floor. We place towels on the floor too keep our feet clean and to keep from slipping. There were roaches on the walls and cleaning was sub-par. The coffee pot looked to have never been cleaned. Then there was the furniture. The couch was so uncomfortable we chose to sit at the dinning table. The bathroom floors were so dirty even after mopping I took pictures to complain. The cleaning fee was removed from my bill. I was displeased with the charge of a 5 star hotel when we received a 2 star motel.

Our first time staying here. We enjoyed our Cottage and will be returning.

What a nice property compared to a hotel! Bed was comfortable, AC worked well! It was nice having a real kitchen. Its basically a one bedroom apartment. 2 small pools; one was shallower for kids. It was also nice and quiet. I only heard my neighbor once when they dropped something heavy. Its about 3 blocks from the beach in downtown Port A. I will definitely be back!

The room was clean and well appointed. Had what we needed. Great size and bed was very comfortable. Best location for our needs. Easy stay. Was first time and already booked for our next stay in November.

This place calls itself a “resort” but offers zero service beyond a narrow one-hour towel swap window. Guests are told to wash their own dishes before leaving, which is fine — but if you’re going to make guests clean up, at least start them off with a clean and healthy unit. For the price, this was unacceptable. We will not be returning, and I strongly recommend anyone with allergies, asthma, or any expectations of cleanliness to look elsewhere.

This was such a great deal to stay so close to the beach with such great amenities and having everything near by.

Overall, it was ok. Room was clean when we arrived. What was very frustrating was that we arrived Saturday and left Tuesday. No one ever came to take dirty towels and bring new ones, we ran out of toilet paper (they gave us one roll) and I had to track someone down for that. They never took our trash out. Basically from Saturday-Tuesday, no cleaning of our room, didn’t even knock on the door to offer or check. I did take my mini schnauzer and he supposedly barked when we left, and they did call to say someone was complaining about our barking dog. At that time, no one was in any of the rooms in our building, but I noticed an employee going to the floor above ours to clean. I’m not sure if that’s why it wasn’t cleaned or not, but they never even asked if we needed anything. The swimming pool was disgusting though - tons of hair chunks floating in it. The location was very close to the beach however.

Room was not ready upon check in bc they were behind in cleaning. But I feel like maybe they rushed the cleaning because of that. We found two small insects in the bed sheets and a roach in the closet. The floor was also very sandy. The pool water was warm. Staff was friendly.

We always stay at the Seashell, and will continue to do so. Great place, staff, and location.

My family and I enjoyed staying here. The rooms were clean with good A/C. Ours had a little kitchen supplied with dishes and cookware. The double pool set up was great.

This little villa was perfect for our family trip to the beach. For 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children, it was very nice. We all slept well. 2 Queens and a pull out sofa bed. It was Cozy, clean, and enough space for us. Fresh towels. Full kitchen. Great ac. The staff was kind. It is right near the beach and close to all the island attractions! Plus the pool was nice for a night swim. The kids loved that. We will be back.

Loved staying here was like a little apartment.. we did have a scare of a roach on our last night that creeped in through the air conditioner but other than that it was great. Staff was super friendly and helpful . I did wish they had served breakfast but for the price was good.

The two pools were great to utilize in between beach time and visiting the shops and restaurants. The beach is in walking distance on Avenue G, but highly recommend a golf cart experience to enjoy more time to relax and ease of getting around. The hotel has units to rent on site. Also helps keep the sand out of your vehicle. Staff helped us check in late the first day with no issues. The room rates were better for our group of six than the local Airbnbs. We rented a pet friendly unit with with a kitchenette with stove top, microwave and full size fridge which worked out great. Not a full set of kitchenware, but enough for us to eat in some and dine out the rest. The vibe at this place is relaxed and family friendly. We will be staying here again when we come next time.

We enjoyed our cute comfortable stay here. Staff was super sweet. It is walking distance to the beach. Unfortunately, we had several cockroaches climbing on the kitchen wall. C

The location is good, super convenient to shops, restaurants & the beach. Our room was very musty, there was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and around the tub. The furnishings were very old, the linens were old and very thin. This would be a great place with some renovations. The grounds weren’t kept up, there was cat food sitting around on the ground in piles randomly, the pool had a good amount of dirt/leaves and even someone’s fingernails on the edge. We stayed here with a few other couples & we all had the same experience with our rooms. The black mold I think is dangerous for people to be breathing in for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, we won’t be going back.

Very close to town. Not too far from the beach. The beds were comfortable. I liked that there was a sitting area outside. The pool was nice. An issue we had was parking because of all of the golf carts.

Stay was good, minor issues, #510 bathroom sink clogged, kitchen sink leaking at the base, blankets in sofa bed smelled weird possibly used, dishes were not entirely cleaned, so I had to clean before cooking breakfast. Pool sign says it opens at 830, staff said 9am, we went to the pool at 9 and staff didn’t open until 10:20 cause it needed cleaning.

This little cottage was a joy. It is old-fashioned in style, but had every convenience.

No shower curtain at all. Left over pizza boxes with food in refrigerator. Tv didnt work at all. Has a horrible smell!!

As far as cleanliness, there were dirty hand prints on doors, and a sticky substance on the ottoman in the “living room” area. I wiped it down and cleaned all that up. We had as issue with a water leak in the restroom, the front desk girl came up and checked it, she let us know it was an A/C unit issue and the repair guy wasn’t available until later that evening, it was already after 9pm, I told them to just leave it alone since it was late at night. Also the shower head in our unit could use a replacement water would go everywhere when in was on.

Parking is very scarce especially at night we had to park at the hotel next door because of how limited it is. Also the rooms can definitely use some major upgrades but the staff qas extra friendly so that helps offset alot

Was a good stay for the night. Can easily sleep 6 adults if you wanted. None of the fans worked, but the AC works fine.

Just okay for a budget room but expensive even for that. Upon entering, dated furnishings, one towel, dusty ceiling fan so bad didn’t dare turn it on, hard pillows, and a tea bag pouch opened. Bed and floor were clean. Power loss for a few hours but eventually came back on. Pool was nice, clean. Would probably not stay again.

In town for an event. We were able to rent a golf cart on site and use to go to on a beach run and out to eat. Our cottage was small but clean and good for what we needed. Only issue was a leak somewhere under the sink that collected lots of water. They gave us extra towels until maintainance arrived. Would definately stay again.

The location is fantastic, and our kids enjoyed the pool area. They had comfortable chairs on the patio outside the room, and it was a great place to sit in the morning and evenings. The facilities are kept pretty clean, but they are getting old. Everything worked in our room, but my parents' shower didn't work in theirs. Kitchenette is not really stocked, just a few basics like silverware but no plastic cups to take to the pool area (since glass is prohibited) or plates. Beds were fairly comfortable at least!

The room was affordable and walkable distance to the beach. We had a great balcony view and a second story king bedroom. The place had a living room and full size kitchen. The bed was so comfortable. There was food and a convenient store nearby. The area as quiet time after 10pm. Absolutely phenomenal3 experience. Recommend!!

They added a $25 fee for trash leftover and dirty dishes . I usually love staying here . I was just annoyed we had to remove all of our trash or get fined . It’s spring break we shouldn’t have to remove our own trash or clean our own dishes. Also what’s up with the $100 deposit , sounded a little excessive to me.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The only negative comment I would make was the bathroom shower. Very little pressure to enjoy a nice hot shower.
