Confirmed 2 King Suites. We were able to get an early check in for $40+tax/rm. requested rooms nearby which was also confirmed. Valet staff very helpful and happy. Front desk ladies were very nice and informative. Housekeeping delivered amenities in a timely manner. Gentleman serving the pastries at the Mothers’ Bakery was very nice. Hotel was in good condition. The pool in the day time was pretty quiet but the evening was very busy and because it’s indoors the noise was very loud. Very family friendly environment. Even the other guests staying there was nice and courteous. The only things I had an issue with which was small issues, the bath soap bottle was empty upon arrival. The TV controls were not syncing appropriately, like the batteries were dead or something cause I had to press the same button so many times before it did what I was trying to get it to do. We stayed on the 4th floor but the room we had was a view of the interior building and roof. Lastly, the walls are VERY thin. My kids stayed in the room next door, which was not a connecting room, and they could hear our conversation clearly(bedroom to bedroom). Continental breakfast was included from 730-1030am but when I arrived at 830am there was a very long line so I just had coffee and went back to my room, but the eggs, bacon and sausage in someone’s plate looked yummy.

Staff at the front desk could be significantly nicer, especially the young man that checked me in, but except for a young lady that was next to him who was nice to a guest the rest I met was a bit rude. The young man that checked me in did not tell me about the breakfast but I should have known that. Parking was a nightmare and expensive. Lots of cool eating establishments around it but homeless on every corner made it a bit sketchy to walk with my kids, but I should have done my homework. Lastly no tea in the room just coffee.

Nice central location
- 4/5
It was really busy. I overheard staff mentioning that to each other. It was a nice stay anyway. The pool was nice and hot clean. We picked the place specifically for the sauna and it was actually broken so we could not access it. Oh well. Omelette bar was cool. Location great. Door people very helpful and friendly. We will use this hotel next time we are in town
- 5/5
The beds were so comfortable, the location was central, there is cheaper parking next door if you have a car, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast is so decent - big buffet with omelettes. Nothing.
- 4/5
Pretty, historical building with plenty of character. Very friendly.
- 4/5
Breakfast could have been better but overall a good experience
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good, many options. Staff was very helpful. Room is spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable.

I stayed here, solo, for 4 nights for my first visit to Portland. All the workers here were kind, helpful and professional, from the front desk to the breakfast bus people to the valets outside. It was clean everywhere. My room didn't have a view but it was very comfortable and quiet. The A/C worked great and the bed was super comfy. The hot breakfast downstairs was always substantial. I didn't use the pool, but kids were playing in it over the weekend and they seemed to like it. I didn't use the fitness room either but it seemed nice. It's located in an OK area of downtown, but was kind of questionable at first. It is near the Willamette River, Voodoo Doughnuts, Chinatown and several restaurants, but it's a walk to the Pearl District, business district and other areas. The Portland City Grill is very close for 30th floor views in a nice restaurant. As a note, I didn't use the valet for my rental car, but I did use a nearby garage and was fine. There is the light rail and buses, but I chose to walk, use Uber and take tours.

Great location, was able to watch the Portland Rose Parade by just stepping out the door. Also walked to the water front to view the ships in town for fleet week. The kids and grandkids also enjoyed the pool. Then to finish it off we all got an excellent breakfast together.
- 5/5
All the staff were so friendly. Hotel is historical old but kept up good. Mother's restaurant was great! Shout out to Christina frond desk and Steven valet. Both went above & beyond!! Saved seats on Rose Parade were a bonus that evening!! Parade went past right outside the side door. Rooms needed a little TLC. Clean but worn. Excellent room size tho!

Love this place highly recommend it best free breakfast in town

Location, amenities, staff, and atmosphere was fantastic.

This was a fantastic hotel for my family that included teens and younger children. We loved the pool and how easy it was to get to everything in the area.

Breakfast was great especially "Marice" cooking at the omelet station. She was very accommodating to whatever we requested and exceptionally friendly. Happy hour like most Embassy suites was nice. The location was downtown-downtown and within easy walking distance to many of Portland's famed tourist sights, and bars, and food pods. Nice gym and other facilities. Better choice of beer at Happy Hour as well as appetizers were very limited and the basement area (for breakfast and happy hour) always felt dark like a dungeon.

Room and location Breakfast
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good, however, the dim "night club" lighting was TOO dark for the morning. It was great for the cocktail hour. Brighter lights in the area where breakfast is served.
- 5/5
Clean historical property. Closer to amenities in the downtown. Staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
The hotels 115 years old, so some of it looks old because it is and then there are other parts that have been modernised. The pool is lovely. Breakfast is fantastic. You've got to get homemade omelette. They are brilliant.... Portland doesn't have the best reputation for safety with some homeless around, we never had a problem even walking around in there early evening.... Security on site so you won't have a problem in the hotel. Car parking can be a little hard to find, I would recommend getting an undercover car park just for safety and securing your vehicle.

It was a very nice stay we had the pool to ourself most of the time. Breakfast was amazing and staff was all very friendly.

The rooms were very spacious and clean. I loved the accommodated us by giving me a joint room. The place was clean. The staff we fairly quick with response when we had request from room service. I left some belongings in my suite and it was returned safely. Definitely would return. Still haven't received my deposit back and I was told it would be returned in 3-5 business days.

I got the nicest room in the hotel for my dad and his wife's anniversary and his birthday and it was the best vacation he's had. The room had the best view in Portland, the room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The pool and hot tub were classy and salt water. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the omelettes station made delicious omelettes. All in all it is one of the historical gems of Portland. Ill be back.

All of my of 2 nights 3 days was excellent.

- 3/5
We enjoyed the spacious room and friendly staff. Traveling with kids, a clean and spacious pool area was really important to us. The images of the pool are very misleading. It is significantly smaller and not very well maintained. Open pipes with rust are visible throughout the room. If a new, clean and kept up pool area is important to you I’d suggest skipping this hotel.
- 5/5
Before I left I booked another stay for later this year. We loved it here! The gym is well equipped, the happy hour is really good (drinks, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks), kids loved the indoor pool, they like the game room the 5 minutes we were in there, breakfast was amazing with great vegan and non-vegan options, and the location! I parked my car and did not move it until it was time for us to leave portland. The room was a great size and offered some privacy if needed. Mini fridge and a microwave. Refilling our water bottles with ice and water was also great to be able to do. It was easy to take transportation or walk everywhere. We are used to staying in condo like spaces when we travel and thats how this fest. We really liked it a lot. Looking forward to returning.
- 5/5
Staff was on point, they even sent me a follow up text to make sure everything was perfect. Excellent service and very nice room as well.
- 3/5
Major problem with my room but staff were very helpful in resolving the situation and making the situation much better.
- 4/5
Breakfast was really great. Love the omelette station. Staff was friendly especially the valet team. They are very kind and professional. Parking is pretty expensive $65 per night. Location was great. Some characters on the street but just mind your own business and keep your head on a swivel. MUJI was right down the road and they have a really nice mall there. Pool and arcade room was ok. Hot tubs were great. Overall what made this stay great was the staff and the location. Would definitely stay again
- 4/5
I was able to get into my room early for an extra $40. This is close to a lot of downtown amenities. The restaurants were great as well. I think they could use with an upgrade downstairs in their buffet area. Somewhat dark and could use a fresh coat to paint. But, otherwise, the rooms were a really awesome size and nice hotel.
- 5/5
There wasn't much to choose from for breakfast. They didn't seem to replenish much after it was gone. Walls are SUPER thin. My friends and I got a knock on our door saying we needed to quiet down when we weren't even being loud. Just sitting on the bed chatting, listening to music at a very low volume. After that we felt the need to whisper which was annoying so we just went to sleep. Staff was super friendly and the valet guys were very personable.
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 4/5
A very unique old hotel in a great location! Friendly staff and a spacious lobby to hang out in.
- 5/5
The Valet was spendy but yes there were cheaper outside lots nearby. the overall hotel experience was great it was very classy elegant looking preserved some sort of historical value of the old Multonmah Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Although the bottom level had no service, the breakfast was good and the cocktail hours had each day a variety of snack to offer.
- 5/5
We had a very good time. We will definitely be back.
- 2/5
Charged us a smoking fee for zero reason at all, there is no damage or even any evidence of smoking and now randomly charged my card another $50 and $4 on my card. Will never stay here again
- 3/5
Towels were questionable as the towels we had had hair twisted and folded in between. Hair varied in size and texture such as long hair and curly.
- 5/5
This hotel was is so beautiful. Our room was the exactly as we hoped. The restaurant inside of the hotel was fantastic.
- 5/5
It was amazing
- 5/5
I really enjoyed this hotel, I love historic hotels it is a beautiful building that honestly could use some T.L.C. that being said it was very clean with good amenities, a fresh breakfast and comfy bed in a large room, good sheets fluffy towels 😃. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, But not too bad, simply be aware. I traveled as a solo female. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Stayed at downtown Portland location. It was nice and the employees were pleasant. Breakfast was decent as well.
- 5/5
Good experience, change nothing 👍
- 5/5
The breakfast was mediocre, nothing fancy or different than other hotels, the regular items:potatoes, yogurt, powdered eggs, sausage patties, sausages, cereal, waffles and an omelet bar. Parking is 65.00 at the hotel and at the bank tower the 24 hour parking is 24.00 and on Saturdays 5:00 am to 5:00 pm only 8.00, the garage is on Washington. The staff are kind and helpful. The suite was huge it had a living room, kitchen area and a bedroom. There were two tv’s and a spacious bathroom. The pool is beautiful and there are 2 hot tubs, they have saltwater.
- 5/5
Parking is expensive $65 / night, i think it should be included, the room aren't cheap
- 4/5
Rooms need an extra blanket as it can get cold in the room. Heat for room cannot be adjusted beyond 77 degrees, supposedly.
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room's furniture was a little worn down, but the beds were comfortable. I needed a fan. I couldn't regulate the room temperature. It was a little warm for me. The location of the hotel was great because everything was accessible by public transit. I really enjoyed the pool
- 5/5
Everything here was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was top notch service!! We will be back
- 3/5
One trash can in the room which was in the bathroom, dusty tv stand, the room was so noisy at night from outside. Hot water in the bathroom sink was hit or miss. Recommend two extra pillows instead of one.

- 5/5
Free daily breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff and a beautiful indoor pool. Just be prepared to pay for parking whether it be valet or self parking.
- 4/5
Service is amazing. The rooms are clean and mine was large for the price. Unfortunately, the beds are hard as rocks. I found myself having to take ibuprofen after my second day. Others complained about this to me as well. I left my 3 day stay very sore.
- 5/5
Veg/vegan breakfast options available
- 4/5
All good except the neighborhood is lousy. valet parking is excelent but expensive.
- 5/5
We thought our room was spacious and clean. Complementary happy hour with snacks was cool. Breakfast was very nice too. Great location. Overall a great stay for a reasonable price.
- 5/5
Valet personnel were great and housekeeping was very helpful!

The hotel was very clean throughout. Great hot tub/pool area. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

- 3/5
Room was cold. Asked them to look at the heat which they kindly did but it continues to blow cold air. Some areas of the room need repair - damaged moulding in the bathroom, rusty fridge.

- 5/5
We really enjoyed our one night stay here. The evening reception was great with some snacks and drinks for adults or juice/soda for those under 21. The king one bedroom was spacious and worked well for our family of four. Loved the pool and hot tub. The breakfast had many options and the omelet bar was great but there was always a line for that. Worth it though. There were a couple different food truck spots nearby that were walkable so definite food options around the location. We felt safe walking.

- 5/5
Great stay. Thank you.
- 4/5
Breakfast was fine - nothing special. Lines for omlet station were very long. Rooms are nice and clean, but loud - sounds from the hall and the street were distracting. Hank goidness for earplugs. Overall, a very nice hotel.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Really cool building. Liked that there were a few restaurants inside to access. Pool and hot tub were great. Great customer service. Biggest complaint was parking. Parking is non-existence unless you do the valet parking. Noticed a few things that made the hotel room show signs of age, such as the shampoo container was just propped up in the shower rather than affixed to the shower wall like the other bottles; mini fridge was broken so they just had an extra one plugged in on the other side of the room; closet door to armoire wouldn't slide closed to access other side of it; found there to only be a couple of luggage carts to use if needed and day of checkout none could be found to use. Thought it was cool there was mini arcade of pinball machines, but you had to pay to use it and the coin machine only accepted $20 bills - did not need that much in quarters and the area wasn't that big in options to justify doing that.
- 5/5
The area around the hotel is a bit blighted, but we found great restaurant options and the Saturday Market a few blocks away was a highlight.
- 5/5
Everything was good….
- 3/5
Toliet paper and kleenex was awful thin. Frig was nice and cold though!
- 5/5
Service and staff were great. Check in was smooth
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Our room wasn't gross though - so that's why I give it a fair rating overall. We will come back because it was centrally located and the room itself was okay. But yeah that breakfast/cocktail area feels like a prison cafeteria - gross food, not clean, terrible lighting I assume is meant to hide the lack of regular cleaning. Also expected to bus your own table. I've stayed in Embassy Suites since childhood - this isn't the standard I'd come to expect. The one by the airport is worlds better - just far away. In fact, we probably won't stay there again - the pool isn't enough of a reason and other hotels in the area have hotels. But if the price was about $50 less per night - that would match the vibe/quality.
- 5/5
It was all wonderful!
- 5/5
Best breakfast i have had at any hotel, everything was fresh, eggs made to order, wonderful rooms and staff. Truly the best experience. We will be coming back!
- 5/5
Beautiful lobby.
- 5/5
Great location. Walking distance to some fun spots like Voodoo Donuts (1 block) and Powell's books (6 blocks) and we even walked to the Moda Center (just over a mile). The happy hour was great with snacks and drinks at 5pm nightly. Breakfast is included and we loved the custom omelette bar! We plan to come back in July!
- 4/5
It was good. It was loud, with the sounds of the outdoors and the snoring from our neighboring room.
- 3/5
All "hot" breakfast items were cold
- 5/5

- 5/5
Clean room except the bathroom, had big chunk of hair in the corner behind bathroom door. Another downside, parking fee is $65 extra, in addition to already expensive hotel room. Otherwise, breakfast was great Great location for downtown, waterfront park area exploring.
- 4/5
Very conveniently located, and very clean with a friendly, responsive staff. Bed and room was very comfortable. Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast. Only concern was some of the furniture was fairly scuffed in the room, but an overall good stay!
- 5/5
Spacious, clean, quiet room. Pool and kids arcade were a hit for our kids. Centrally located to fun Portland spots. Walkable. Loved it.
- 5/5
The lobby is amazing , real old century class
- 5/5
I like the hotel.
- 5/5
Loved everything. Perfect location for walking. The evening reception (with free cocktails?!) and complimentary breakfast were above any expectations. There are 2 hot tubs! Room was spacious and clean, and the staff was great. Will stay here again. 😊
- 3/5
Clean social areas and great breakfast
- 5/5
Great service
- 4/5
Beautiful historical hotel in the downtown core of Portland. Originally built in 1912 there is some obvious older aspects to the building but there’s a beautiful pool, hot tub and the room rooms are spacious. Valet parking is outrageously priced and there isn’t much parking around the hotel unfortunately. There are some downsides to the downtown core due to the social services provided to homeless people down there but overall we felt safe to walk around and enjoy shopping and eating in Portland.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay! This is not located in the best area, but I liked how accommodating the hotel itself was.
- 5/5
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay.

Have stayed here several times. Good location for getting around town. Appreciate the amenities, breakfast, and evening reception. Overall, good value and comfortable room.
- 1/5
I would to start off on a positive, the valet tenants were great. They were all very welcoming and we enjoyed talking with them. The rest of our stay here left a lot to be desired, we will not be staying at another Embassy. We do a lot of traveling and stay at a lot of different places and we were not impressed at all. From the hidden fees to the underwhelming breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel. The valet staff were the only reason it was not a total 1 star.
- 5/5
Nice, historic hotel connected to Mother's cafe.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time! Thank you so much for the upgraded suites. Everything was great! We were able to walk to most everywhere except the rain got to us the day befor we left. Thankful for the hot tub and pool!
- 4/5
In general, my wife & I were satisfied. Everything was clean, though maybe a little run down by some standards. Our room had a view of a neighboring roof, but we were out on the town for most of the waking hours, so that was not a problem for us. The continental breakfast was good, though the room was a little odd. My wife enjoyed the salt water pool & hot tub while I enjoyed coffee in the room. Overall, a high 3 or low 4 by our modest standards.
- 4/5
We loved the pool. The hot tub wasn't working and I wished they would sent us a not when we booked it for the night
- 4/5
My only complaint was the parking. I understand downtown locations have limited parking and valet may be the only option they can offer. However, charging $65 per night for your guests plus tip is extremely ridiculous. Your guests are already paying to stay there, it should not be that much for your guests. Thankfully, the gentlemen at valet let us know about a more affordable parking garage a couple blocks away where we could park. So if you plan to stay here, set aside about another $75 per night you plan to be there if you want to use the valet option
- 5/5
I've stayed here on multiple occasions and have enjoyed my stay every time. The reception drinks and buffet style breakfast are nice amenities and the staff have always been helpful and pleasant!
- 4/5
This hotel needs a freshen up. Beds were comfy, thin walls made for loud hallways and nights. Sticky floors everywhere and the breakfast in the basement was weird. Wouldn’t go back.
- 4/5
Cool historic property, nice overall. Location good, but I recommend heading west when on foot for dining and shopping. Pictures on the website for the studio king are misleading. We were initially disappointed with the room, but the positive vibe of the staff and the decent amenities made up for it.
- 5/5
The room was nice and comfy. i love this place when we come for cheer competitions. It’s our favorite to stay at. We love that voodoo donuts is close. Overall, its a good hotel to stay in portland.

The room was nice and clean, our room didn’t have any towels so we had to call to get some. At check-in staff tried telling me we booked a basic room and that we could upgrade to a suite for $20. I had already booked that suite so that was weird, don’t know what they’re trying to use that extra money for. Overall a nice hotel!
- 5/5

The Embassy Suites was a perfect place to stay for a trip to Portland! Places we wanted to go to were in walking distance. The room was clean and very spacious. The social hour in the evening was an added bonus and the breakfast was amazing, so many good and healthy choices. Everyone who helped us was friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel needs renovation. Things are pained over 10 layers. Room is outdated. Room doesn’t feel clean. Pool is dirty. Walls in the pool room are rusted all around. Just yellow/ orange rust all over walls floor to ceiling. Hair swimming in a pool constantly tangling around hands and fingers. Overall wished we stayed some place else.

- 4/5
Hotel was nice and we got a lot more value here than at other higher priced hotels in the area. My only major beef was the sauna was out of order and looked to have been for a long time. There was no notice of when it would be up, if at all. It's still being promoted on the website and was one of the reasons we stayed. Otherwise, everything was great. Huge room and good service.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly
- 3/5
The daily deposit was extreme and should have been disclosed. $1000 for 4 days for 2 rooms is excessive. Also the hotel needs some improvements the wood rot in the bathroom and rust and broken walls in the pool area was terrible. The breakfast and happy hour included free of charge was amazing.
- 2/5
One of the windows had a huge crack in it, one of the legs on the table was broken and wobbly, the pull out sofa bed had a stain and was very springing and uncomfortable. They hold a fee until checkout which caught us off guard as i couldn't find anything about it anywhere on the app and they didn't offer to help, parking is WAY too expensive. Definitely will be sticking to our normal hotels from now on.
- 5/5
And the woman at the front desk was so kind- helpful and welcoming. Free cocktails each evening, decent breakfast each morning- the ONLY issue was having to contend with druggy folks lurking around the corner, shooting up and leaving huge piles of grub. I feel a lot of empathy for their situations but didn’t feel safe.
- 5/5
I love the location and a very friendly staff.

It didn't appear that the bathroom had been cleaned when we walked in. Hair on the walls and a plugged bathtub drain. There are much better options in this area. Don't waste your money.
- 5/5
Staff is always great and love the breakfast selections every time we stay there!

Very cheap looking property.
- 3/5
Area feels a bit dodgy …. Hotel is dated but cool…. Parking a bit of a hassle
- 5/5
Clean and spacious rooms
- 3/5
Room was less than average for a Hilton property. A king suite with a city view felt like a basic room at a more budget friendly chain. Our city view was a parking garage that was far taller than the hotel with a fraction of a view of china town if you pressed your face against the glass and looked hard to the right.

Staff, was extremely helpful and kind. Beautiful room and well maintained amenities. Beakfast was lovely, had a little trouble finding it at first, but a very nice spread.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Staff was incredibly thoughtful and kind!
- 5/5
They let us switch rooms after we were placed originally near a club which had loud bass that we had a hard time sleeping through, pool was cool and breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Very welcoming and such a beautiful blast from the past.
- 5/5
Very nicely decorated room!
- 5/5
Breakfast buffet is fresh and healthy. Evening snack and free drinks are excellent.
- 1/5
No temperature control in room, old if anything provided, Walmart clearance sale linens, noisy low-class hotel
- 5/5
Easy check in, great location
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great service
- 1/5
To the point that I feel my time has been wasted.

Room was very clean. Staff were lovely. Breakfast buffet was decent but omelette line was very long although it was a holiday weekend. Regular buffet was adequate. Lobby is gorgeous?
- 2/5
The hotel needs renovations. The complimentary bf is very good, but Hilton can afford buying better cutlaries. The furniture is shabby. Rooms were good, but needs better housekeeping. Elevator buttons and ambience need upgrade
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, quiet, secure and one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever experienced!
- 2/5
Room wasn’t clean at all, especially bath room. I took the picture and reported it to the reception. Later on we got an other room, kind of ok.
- 5/5
Good room, nice folks, good pools and such
- 5/5
It’s a beautiful hotel and so close to Voodoo donuts and the keep Portland weird sign. Breakfast was also delicious and the jets in the hot tub helped hurt muscles. Worth every penny.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Cozy room. Excellent and friendly staff. Relaxing hot tub.
- 4/5
Large rooms for a big group and nice breakfast.
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. We shower didn’t drain well, which may have been the result of an old building. But that part wasn’t great. Also the stairwell wasn’t super clean.
- 1/5
I immediately went to the front desk to dispute the charge and was told I needed to speak with a manager. After waiting as instructed and following up via email, I was repeatedly redirected and ultimately told to contact the General Manager directly. Unfortunately, the General Manager never responded. What was most frustrating was not just the erroneous charge, but the complete lack of accountability and follow-up from hotel management. A charge this serious should be supported with evidence and handled promptly, neither of which occurred. I would caution future guests to carefully review their final bill and be aware that resolving billing disputes here may be difficult.
- 4/5
Front desk staff was wonderful! Quickly fixed the issue with our room and even upgraded us!
- 4/5
The price was great for the pool being open till 10, free breakfast buffet, nice room, very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Whenever I come to Portland this is the only hotel I stay at! Staff is amazing, clean rooms, amazing breakfast! Just a great stay every time!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Rooms clean and staff courteous. Would love to stay again!!!
- 5/5
The staff made our stay an excellent one.

- 5/5
The room was gorgeous! The staff was kind. I love the drinks and snacks in the evenings and the Christmas tree was beautiful. They also have a valet for a small price. The pool is a beautiful salt water pool and the hot tub was wonderful as well. I will definitely book a room here again.
- 4/5
Buffet style free breakfast. At times only one valet to get your car but otherwise staff was kind and accommodating.
- 5/5
Gorona was amazing!! She was very friendly, professional, she checked my party in very fast and efficiently. Our room, the staff and amenities was perfect for us. We really enjoyed ourselves!!
- 3/5
Property needs to be cleaned. Especially elevator doors and room curtains. I did not have good nights sleep because my neighbors on the first night were arguing and swearing at 3 am. Next morning around 3 am were really loud and running on the hallway. Not the hotel’s fault but I was with a child so had to be really cautious and was awake. :-(
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Hot tub is good but one of them wasn't good because of smell
- 5/5
It’s good but can be more cleaner
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was nicely set up. Enjoyed the pool. I did not like that valet parking was only convenient parking option.
- 4/5
Cleanliness, staff are friendly, sofa bed needs attention or spring box replaced.
- 4/5
Cons: rooms are rundown and not nearly as clean as the lobby/hallways/public areas. There is dust and dirt built up on baseboards, light switches, and light fixtures; cracks, tape, and fingerprints all over the plastic that covers the windows, marks and dirt on the door and walls, and I could see smears on the bathroom floor tile. It’s a weird contrast to the lobby/gym/arcade, which is sparkling clean. I even saw someone mopping the tile OUTSIDE the front door when we left. They need to bring that mop to the rooms.
- 4/5
Room was clean.. friendly staff will stay again
- 5/5
We had a fun swim with my grandsons. Enjoyed dinner at Mothers.
- 4/5
Wonderful pool and facilities. Beautiful historic building, well maintained. We upgraded and added an extra night. Only deficit is downtown Portland has gotten a little rough shod compared to 20 years ago and the breakfast could be better quality.
- 4/5
Courteous, helpful staff.
- 5/5
Room was so comfortable & clean. Loved the hot tubs & pool…warm & well-maintained. Super nice happy hour wine, beer, veggies, chips & dip/queso. Very friendly staff
- 4/5
Employees are super nice.
- 5/5
Clean room and large space for guests to gather and share breakfast.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, nice room, great amenities
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and very helpful and professional. Some things that really stood out first. Its a great property with that old classic and grandiose architecture. The indoor pool is really nice. We had a a nice suite on an outside corner, so lots of windows. I wasn't expecting the breakfast served every day was as good as it was. A few things that didnt meet my expectations. There were blood like stains on the wallpaper in the bathroom and black long curly hair in the bathroom as well. The first night our water temp was just barely to be deslt with, just over a cold shower. Next day it was fine. But I'm sure these negative things arent the norm. One thing that I would have wanted was a nicer bed, pillows, and sheets. For a $200 a night stay, I would have expected better than Motel 6.
- 5/5
Been coming here several times through out the years. Great service, awesome happy hour, and great space in the rooms.
- 5/5
We had a little shock at check in, valet parking was $65.00, I had seen $12.00. We were offered a alternative option for $35.00. I then checked for handicapp discounts and were told we could park on the street for free. We were right across the street from the hot.
- 4/5
A once grand hotel still surviving albeit well used. Great breakfast with personal omelet chef. downside is the pool and hot tub shut down at 10 pm and security was there at 9:59 pm to usher us out.
- 4/5
Spacious.
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good, the omelet station was particularly good and the gentleman who prepared the food was polite and very efficient.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Solid - convenient, breakfast, pool, hot tub, easy walking distance downtown, just solid great and convenience is king for this hotel.
- 5/5
Great breakfast and beautiful room! Convenient location.
- 4/5
All good. Clean.. Just old.
- 5/5
Overall great stay
- 5/5
Great breakfast, awesome room!
- 5/5
The room was spotless and the front desk staff was very courteous, especially Wade! The service and food at both restaurants was exceptional. I will definitely be back!
- 5/5
I was greeted upon arrival. When I was checking in, I was asked if I'd like to upgrade for a small amount more. I took the larger room with a view. The view was amazing, and the room had a living and separate sleeping area. Each area had its own view of the Portland skyline. There are audible sounds from the street. There was a free breakfast along with a two-hour refresher in the evening.
- 5/5
Room was clean and quiet. As always happy hour and great breakfast are a great value. Nice location near waterfront and not too far from the Moda center.
- 3/5
Room is clean, however bed & pillow are bad. We occupied the suite to get a best room to stay, but waking up the next day having back and neck pain due to the bed and pillow. Bed is not firm and feels like needs to be replace (old) pillow was too thin and seems no cotton at all inside, like it’s old and need to be replaced. So uncomfortable to rest and sleep. Pillows should be replaced a new ones. Everything went well except for the most intense part of the room which is the bed and pillow. This is our first time in Embassy Suites, did not expect the beds and pillows to be in that condition. We usually stay in Hyatt Regency and their beds and pillows are amazing.
- 5/5
Always love staying here. Great room, very clean, and super great reception and breakfast. Pool time was great as usual.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful grand hotel. The breakfast staff was great.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful. Brett at th front desk was amazing. The free break and complimentary happy hour were wonderful!
- 4/5
Our room view was not great at all no window use really and the AC wpuldnt work but they had someone fix that adap which was awesome and much appreciated. The pool, hot tub and breakfast felt 5 star it was great!!!!i definitely recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Great amount of space and good location. Loved the breakfast too!
- 5/5
nice
- 5/5
So many useful amenities included overall a great deal
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Nightly happy hour with free snacks and two free drinks. Helpful and courteous staff
- 5/5
The room was very clean and spacious. I enjoyed breakfast one of the mornings at the hotel and it was actually pretty good. The area around is very walkable and there’s also public transportation available. I will definitely keep this hotel in mind whenever I visit portland, Oregon again.
- 5/5
The location was close to the concert venue where we were going. Our room was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and arcade. We had a great stay!
- 5/5
Inside hotel excellent
- 4/5
The room was large and comfortable,
- 5/5
Staff is top notch. Cleanliness is impeccable.
- 5/5
Great staff and service! Awesome breakfast menu
- 3/5
Fantastic free hot breakfast. Free drink vouchers for happy hour and very spacious rooms. Staff was friendly but valet is under staffed. Clean but older building.
- 5/5
The staff here has been incredible and this hotel is so dang quiet. No noise from hallways or other rooms.
- 5/5
Perfect location, comfortable, friendly staff, clean, gym.
- 5/5
Room was amazing. Requested additional bedding for pull out couch & it was delivered to the room. Hot tub was being worked on so it was unusable.
- 5/5
Incredible hospitality from the front desk!
- 4/5
This is a great property, but our room could have benefitted from a deep cleaning before we got there.
- 3/5
Convenient location, decent rooms but in need of updating. Our room in particular clearly had water damage in the bathroom that wasnt fully repaired. I assume it was structurally repaired but not aesthetically...the bathroom door and trim were pretty unsightly. The tub needed a good cleaning and recaulking. Used to stay here a fair amount years ago and was disappointed to see it hasn't been well maintained. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
- 2/5
Older hotel, creepy people all over lobby and exterior of hotel. Also, they put us in a ADA room where the floor tile in shower is not sloaped correctly. Water everywhere, every shower. Would not allow us to change rooms and a family of 4 for 5 nights. Awful. Happy hour was cool however.
- 2/5
Over all I a good experience, however house Keeping stole my dogs food and water bowls. This was an expensive, matching stainless steel. All travel, set the interlock together with lids to keep the contents from spilling out. You would think staying at one of the most elite hotels in the area wouldn’t have to worry about the hotel staff.
- 5/5
Another wonderful stay. We loved the nightly cocktail reception and spacious rooms.
- 3/5
It was average, the shawer curtains had blac stains from the inside. I was able to take it with a little warm water. I don't know why the cleaning crew didn't see it. Biggest problem was the ridiculous charge hilton charging their guests for parking. Breakfast was good, but it was the same thing every day. Staff was ok, not that warm and friendly.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Very roomy. The building is older and could use some upgrades and repairs.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing.
- 4/5
While the property is in a convenient location and the front
- 5/5
Excellent room, exercise facilities, food, happy hour, complimentary breakfast, clean room, super helpful staff
- 4/5
Exactly what you’d expect from a Embassy Suites Hotel but with a little more class
- 5/5
Great property! The evening free drinks and morning breakfast were all great! I enjoyed the elegant in historic look of this property
- 5/5
Went to Roseland theatre for a concert. It was an easy walk. Loved the hot tub , pool, breakfast and HAPPY hour!!🙏
- 5/5
Very nice comfortable hotel but area is somewhat seedy
- 5/5
Rooms were quiet and the sauna was amazing. Love the salt water pool.
- 5/5
Love the salt water pool and sauna room. Night valet staff amazing!
- 5/5
Clean room

- 4/5
Staff
- 5/5
Loved the breakfast and pool area . Highly recommend
- 4/5
The hotel itself was very nice, but the area felt sketchy. Honestly, most of Portland did. Between the homeless situation, the drug use at night, and the noKings protests during the day I’ll definitely steer clear and avoid the city altogether. All of it felt unsafe .I won’t be returning to Portland.
- 5/5
Check in was great, but there was an early check in fee. I had the best crab cakes and coconut cream pie at Mother’s Bistro. The king room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast too.
- 3/5
126 deposit a day for a room that wasn’t clean. Hair on the ceiling puke down the wall. Hole in the wall.
- 5/5
Amazing check in staff positive attitude Great bed
- 1/5
This once beautiful hotel is lacking some much needed TLC. The over all cleanliness was nonexistent. From the terrible elevators to the dingy stair wells. There was muck in the stairwells, stained walls, ice machines not working, to a reception that left much to be desired. My family and I have stayed at many Embassy locations because we enjoy mingling with other guests during the reception, but the snacks provided were not only lacking but horrid in quality. The broccoli was moldy and slimy. The person who served that could clearly see this was the case. The reception served broccoli, dry cheese cubes, stale crackers, and dry carrots. The speakers were busted and the music was plain disturbing to even sit and enjoy the area. The staff didn’t seem to care or try to remedy by simply letting us sit in silence instead of muffled sounds. The front desk associate an Asian male was rude and not friendly by any means. Seemed bothered every time. The door knob on the bathroom door in our room came off in my hand and was never fixed in the three days stay. The cleaning staff left a half drank water bottle in the refrigerator and trash from previous tenants. I can only assume. The pool area was dirty and unkept. I would not rec
- 5/5
We had an amazing time! The pool was a hit with the kids!
- 3/5
Like much of downtown Portland, the Embassy Suites by Hilton looks quite dingy and run down. The once grand lobby, is now mostly empty except for an odd assortment of cheap contemporary furniture that clashes with the Corinthian-style columns and neo-classical architecture. We were looking forward to the Embassy Suites afternoon reception in the "Acadian Garden" until we got there. There is no garden or even a fake plant. It's just a room with old tired furniture, poor lighting, and a really bad paint job. And it was barely a reception except for the free alcohol. Also in the "Acadian Garden" was the free breakfast, which at least had good breakfast fare including made to order omelets. But serving breakfast (or any food) in that old room is just sad. Our room was OK, clean and comfortable enough with a nice bed and TV, but we will never book Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown again.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Very family friendly. Our son loved the pool. Food was excellent. Drinks were spot on. Clean. 10/10 will recommend. We look forward to coming back soon !
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 4/5
The pool and hot tub were both refreshing and relaxing, and valet parking was easy and convenient. However, as an electric vehicle driver, I do want to note that the charging stations are quite slow. Also, the staff forgot to return my charging converter. They are currently shipping it back to me, and I’m hoping it arrives soon. Overall, a mostly positive experience with a few small hiccups.
- 5/5
Clean room and very nice staff!
- 4/5
Beautiful inside great breakfast amazing pool/hottub disappointed I got a room that was supposed to have a downtown view and our views was a parking garage
- 4/5
Room where breakfast was served was dark...could barely see the food on buffet. Food was mediocre at best...except for the omlette bar...it was excellent. Maid service not consistent with services...didnt empty all trash cans or replace kleenix. Room was nicely appointed and bed was very comfortable...
- 2/5
The Front Desk staff is clearly untrained and lacks customer service even the managers. At check in, I was just handed the keys to my room. The desk clerk did not indicate what room I was in or how to proceed to the room. No housekeeping and of course was never told at check in I needed to request it. Incidental fee was charged multiple times and taken out since I used my debit as the method for payment. At check out I was told what the final cost would be, deposit less valet parking. However, when I asked them to provide a statement that showed the deposit and the valet fee which would them show what should be returned to the card they claimed they couldn't do even though prior they said it could be done when I actually checked out. When I arrived home (Sunday), I check my account and found they had not charged the amount they said and what was reflected on the receipt for the stay but nearly twice that. When I called the only response I received (Kierstin) was that the computer made a mistake and the refund would be in by the end of the week and then it was up to my Bank to show the refund back into the account. Not once was there an apology for the confusion, error or concern on the part of the employees I dealt with. Totally unacceptable and though it will most likely not make any difference and I'm sure they could care less, I will not choose Embassy Suites or for that matter a Hilton property in the future.
- 5/5
Nice room, helpful staff, free breakfast, free happy hour in the evening. The in-house restaurant -- Mother's Bistro -- was excellent.
- 5/5
The hotel was nice. Our original room was too small so they let us change to a larger room. The valet was very convenient. I will say the blue ceiling in the main dining area isn’t ideal. Makes it hard to see. The beds were not comfortable either.
- 4/5
The nightly price included breakfast, which was ok. They do make to-order omelettes, but we didn't get to try those since we aren't big morning eaters. The buffet included dollar pancakes (very tough), scrambled eggs, overcooked bacon one day and undercooked turkey patties & sausages the next day, breakfast potatoes, toast, yogurt and fruit. Satisfactory but nothing to write home about. I would not stay here again, and probably not in downtown Portland at all. We did walk around a bit but didn't feel comfortable venturing out like in other cities.
- 3/5
It was a very nice hotel with lots of different shopping places near by. Very close to the waterfront. The only thing I can complain about is the elevators in this hotel. For the amount of people staying here theae elevators are very slow. There was one of them out of order or something. It was not being used.
- 5/5
I screwed up booking a bit and the staff at the hotel were fantastic and helped me sort things out without any issues. Great stay in a fun, downtown area with local Portland style and flair. Love the hotel.
- 3/5
Parking no good
- 2/5
Very dark atmosphere. Room was old and poorly kept (holes in lamp shade, discolored bathroom tiles), room was dirty upon check-in (hair in bed, stains on couch, carpet debris, someone's leftover sock was on floor, etc). Street parking wasnt easy to find and valet was overpriced at $65/night. Spoke with other guests and agree this is NOT a location for Families!! Reviews for this location were very misleading!!
- 5/5
Loved the breakfast served every day and the 2 free happy hour drinks daily! Some of the downtown areas are sketchy and dirty but the hotel was clean and close to the Saturday market and other activities. We would like it if there was an adults only time for the pool as it was often packed with kids. We really also like the restaurant “Mother’s” connected to the hotel.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Great breakfast.
- 5/5
It’s an amazing place to stay
- 4/5
Homeless people around
- 1/5
The surrounding areas are not safe drugs and a bunch homeless peeing in the side walk mostly like won’t ever stay here again
- 4/5
As for the things we did not like, I was sore after my first night because the beds are FIRM. I adjusted to it though by 2nd and 3rd nights. The elevator traffic was insane. One is out of service so we spent a lot of time waiting. The biggest issues I had was the room- it was different than the pics on Expedia. We got the king suite. it had a couch, footstool, tv, but the room was smaller and there was no living room chairs. It was tight for 4 of us and we couldn’t congregate together. If there are different tiers of suites that should really be delineated on Expedia. I called about it and the guy at the front desk offered to find us a new room but my family didn’t want to unsettle and move. the second problem is we were charged a deposit on our credit card then 3 more charges- all of diff amounts we were charged for extra people which he fixed when I showed the reciept but I’m hoping all the extra charges will fall off. Im sick of having to be on guard
- 4/5
The price was good but considering the parking fee $65 was misleading. Parking should be free or bulked into the room rates.
- 5/5
It's ok
- 5/5
Super clean , good service from staff
- 5/5
Breakfast and cocktail hour were amazing. Pool and hot tub were a big perk
- 4/5
Parking is a big problem… pay $30 for surface parking or $65 for valet. Also, total BS to charge $30 extra for joining rooms…
- 1/5
We have not received any correspondence via phone, email, or mail explaining the charge. I called the front desk and was told that it was a deep cleaning fee. The person I spoke with offered to transfer me to the General Manager of the hotel. I have since left three messages, left my name and number, but have never received a call back. I did a walkthrough of our room before checking out and I have no idea what would have resulted in the need to deep clean the room. Regardless of the reason, the most frustrating thing is the complete lack of response from the General Manager. It's difficult to trust a hotel chain when there isn't any professional communication.
- 5/5
The pool and beds were amazing! Also had a beautiful view from our room.
- 4/5
The night manager, Dolly, was amazing. After working all night she went home got an extra CPAP hose and brought it back for my husband who had inadvertently forgot that part of his machine at home for our trip. It saved him! With duct tape we were able to connect it to his machine and he was able to sleep the rest of the nights we were there!
- 5/5
The room was very nice, comfortable & clean. The check-in was easy. The staff throughout the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. Only the happy hour was disappointing: popcorn, hummus, and hard pita bread
- 5/5
Wonderful staff! Helpful and considerate. Pool is gorgeous and big!
- 5/5
Everything was great and extra bonus for being so close to voodoo donuts. A simple treat we pick up for our kiddos when we visit portland.
- 5/5
Had a lovely experience here! Staff was amazing and I ran into 0 issues with anything. Had lots of fun in the pool!
- 5/5
Excellent in every respect…
- 3/5
Staff wasn't friendly
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved all the amenities like the pool, sauna, and fitness center. Breakfast was above and beyond any other continental breakfast I’ve ever had.
- 3/5
The bed was comfortable and room was clean. But the food options were very limited. The front desk was amazing.
- 4/5
We really enjoyed our stay here. The historic building was interesting. The bathtub backed up with water, which was a bit annoying. Other than that, the reception was a nice touch and our stay was overall enjoyable.
- 2/5
A lot of Homeless in the area.
- 5/5
The lobby in the hotel is gorgeous. The restaurant that you can access is not directly associated with the hotel so you can't charge to your room but food is excellent.
- 5/5
Kiersten and Wade at the desk were efficient, friendly, and very helpful. They made us feel very welcomed. This is a beautiful, historic hotel that has been modernized for comfort and retains its historic beauty. The free breakfast and happy hour were awesome! The valets were friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Convenient location from downtown.
- 5/5
Good breakfast standard for Embassy suites. Check in was fast and all the hotel staff are friendly. One downside was that we did not have our room cleaned by housekeeping. Would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
S. Archambeault
- 5/5
Very great place, will definitely book again.
- 4/5
Hotel fine, location run down.
- 4/5
Everyone was lovely. The only complaint was that the room was stuffy and the air conditioning didn’t seem to cool the room enough to get comfortable.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
good stuff thanks
- 4/5
I was satisfied with the stay overall. The hotel is a historic building which was nice, but the room and furniture felt old. The ADD shower was more of a hazard to the non-disabled due to the wet floor conditions outside of the shower area. Vallet charges were expensive.
- 5/5
LOVE this hotel. Love all Embassy Suites. For a family of 5, the free breakfast and happy hour are amazing. Saves so much! The Portland staff was absolutely lovely. We had a great stay. Portland is a super great city. Hope to be back!
- 5/5
Nice hotel, the carpet in the lobby needs to be changed it is old and has an odor. The room was great. The break very good.
- 5/5
See above
- 5/5
Really enjoyed breakfast and happy hr. Great place to stay. Housekeeping was impeccable.
- 4/5
outside hotel, lots of homeless people. Parking was limited, hotel charges $65.00 daily. Breakfast was great. Dragon from the Mother's Bistro restaurant was great and very friendly.
- 5/5
We had enough towels, but they were not soft. Hot water wasn't hot. The blackout curtains were great and the room size was GREAT.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, loved the drinks/snacks from 5-7, breakfast was delicious! Would highly recommend!
- 2/5
This ES is downtown so great location. It's spacious, historic and well maintained as a whole. And who doesn't love an ES breakfast? The bad: hospitality issues. No shampoo or soap in the container supplied in the shower. Reported and then next day, not touched. My son had an overnight accident and the next day, the hospitality team just left the mattress on our bed so at 11pm we are calling housekeeping for sheets and then had to make the bed ourselves when i alerted housekeeping in teh hallway.
- 5/5
Hotel is very nice. Huge rooms. Great breakfast, cocktail hour, and pool. Staff was great. Area around the hotel is not great. A lot of homeless people on streets and limited dining in the evenings. The area clears out after work hours. We did not have any problems but you need to stay aware of your surroundings while walking around the area. We parked in the garage next door for $28 per night instead of $65 valet and had no issues.
- 5/5
We stayed here with our Girl Scout troop. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was amazing!
- 5/5
It is a hotel surrounded by homeless camps where they urinate and defacate on the sidewalks. Very scary city, downtown Portland. This is allowed behavior. I almost stepped in human feces. Filthy city. No police presence, except for government buildings and high end retail stores.
- 5/5
Great street parking, places to around the area and shopping and great breakfast options at hotel
- 5/5
Pool had heavy chemical smell. Room was wonderful and very comfortable! Loved breakfast and cocktails. A very nice touch. Would recommend to anyone this is the place to stay.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 3/5
Beautiful lobby, friendly staff.
- 5/5
When I needed something the staff was quick to see to my needs. They were quite helpful with directions as well. Very pleasant staff.
- 5/5
Pros: -Location. Walking distance to a lot of popular shopping and sights in Portland. And only a 2 minute walk to the MAX station light rail if you don't want to walk. -Very beautiful historic hotel -Great service from the staff -Pool is pretty cool -Good breakfast -Rooms were nice and spacious -Very good price for quality of hotel -Wifi worked well. Cons: -Parking is very expensive and valet only. But they did keep my car safe and valet retrieval was fast. Portland can be risky for car burglary and smashed windows, so it was nice to know it was secure. -Some brief very loud noises from outside in the middle of the night. But that is not the hotel's fault. -Sofa bed in our room was horrible. I know sofa beds are not known to be great, but this one actually had holes in mattress and looked 20 years old. The rest of the furniture was nice, so was surprised. My kid just slept on the couch without unfolding bed.
- 5/5
The location was great, and having valet was so nice. We loved the fun free happy hour provided for guests every evening, and the beds and the breakfast were wonderful.
- 4/5
The design of one of the suites didn’t make sense - the kitchenette is on one end while the dining area is on the other end. The other suite had a sticky kitchen floor when we checked in on the first day.
- 5/5
What an amazing stay! The hotel hospitality was friendly, welcoming, professional, and knowledgable about the area. The fault rate included a make to order breakfast each day and the food and servers were so attentive to detail. Great food and an amazing variety. Included in the stay was a complimentary welcome social with appetizers and beverages. Great way to end a long day. My entire family was overwhelmed by its classic charm. The suite was roomy and I enjoyed the classic High-Back chairs. True to Embassy's standards, the breakfast buffet was excellent. This will be my "Goto" hotel.

Property is in the heart of Portland. Staff very professional and accommodating. Area is near everything Portland has to offer. Beds are comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is nice to have , but very basic. Overall is a great hotel.

Down town is sketchy so I would use the valet parking because it is secure. It can be a bit of a wait for your car so make sure you call down for it before leaving. The breakfast area is huge so makes it convenient for large families or people with strollers. They also offer 2 free drinks for each adult from 5-7 in the same area as well as finger food snacks, simple nachos, veggies and ranch etc. the soda machine is also available if you have kids during that time. Pool/hot tub/sauna are all awesome.
