Reviews
The hotel is praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and unique features such as a rooftop sitting area and bunk beds. However, the location is consistently criticized for being in a seedy area with a significant homeless population, which made some guests feel unsafe. Some guests also mentioned issues with parking and the lack of certain amenities like a kitchen or coffee in the morning.

The staff was great. The decor and style of the hotel was very European or a very upscale hostel. N/A

I loved the history an location of the property very easy to find had a great view with a roof top over looking the city and historic newpapers on the stairs leading up an down the building very clean an very beautiful room an bathroom very aesthetically pleasing an excellent staff There wasn’t a single thing wrong I loved everything about it!

The property was clean on the inside top to bottom that was perfect!!! No tv, the bums outside harassing the guests, no designated smoking area so you have to stand in the street with the pan handlers. Elevator is slow. No microwave or fridge for guest in room so if you want something you have to always leave your room. Can’t control the temperature in the room. Feel like a jail cell.

The concept was well executed. For a bunk house there was a great deal of privacy. I felt my things were secure while i was gone. Bathrooms were clean and pleantiful. Staff was awesome. There really was no kitchen facility - just a tiny fridge and hot water spigot. No way to reheat food.

The rooms were comfortable and the rooftop and connected coffee shop were nice perks. It was also conveniently close to the light rail. The location was a bit farther from the nicer area of Portland than we expected.

The property once you’re inside is beautiful. I love the Photo Booth and the cafe on site. The location is sketchy. We had our 1 yr old with us and ended up moving hotels halfway through our stay because it didn’t feel safe to walk there from the parking lot.

I liked the location of the hotel and its proximity to the downtown area and the affordable rates and the simplicity. I liked the proximity to public transportation. I also liked the $10 flat fee for all-day luggage storage. The bunk room was not a good fit because of the lack of privacy and the cramped bunk and the dark room. The storage lockers were on the opposite side of the bunk room from my bunk. The lockers were not secure because the doors lock but do not close all the way. The next time I stay in Portland I would rent a private room.
