Very clean and convenient location to airport

Rooms were clean, the breakfast was great and there was plenty of convenient parking.

The staff at the Hampton Inn Portland Airport location was wonderful. I was greeted when I arrived and they made sure that my assigned room was what I needed. Although there is not a restaurant on-site, there is one within walking distance which gives 10% off for hotel guests and they served great food. Breakfast is provided at the Hampton Inn and everything is fresh and tasty - not just pastries, but hot food and waffles as well. Shuttle service is provided to and from the airport and runs regularly. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. I would stay here again if traveling via the Portland airport.

The property was clean and fairly quiet considering it is right next to the airport. Was unable to take part in the amenities due to leaving at 5 am.

Comfortable place to spend a night. It is fun to watch the planes land from your room. They stop flying when it gets quite late, so if you go to bed early and are a light sleeper, they might keep you up. We had no issues. Breakfast was tasty in the morning and the staff was friendly. We will stay again the night before we leave Portland.

The shuttle was quick and efficient. We liked that the breakfast service started at 5:30am since we had an early flight. There were lots of breakfast choices and the scones were tasty. The staff was warm and welcoming. Rooms were clean and bed were comfortable. Plenty of toiletry items were provided.

Close to the airport and really appreciated the shuttle bus that runs 24 hrs to the airport. It is a little noisy from airplanes but they stopped around 7pm. They supply earplugs in your room.

From the airport shuttle drivers to the front desk, all staff were curious and efficient. Our room was generous in size and the layout convenient, clean and quiet. The breakfast was better than many I’ve had in serve-yourself hotels, and the man managing it kept everything orderly and refilled. My only complaint was the perfume sent left in the room by the cleaners, please use unscented products, many of us are scent sensitive. We

I always enjoy staying here. I choose this hotel because it's close to the things I need. This time however the front desk was not friendly or nice. Checked me in like a robot. Didn't explain where my room was or how to best access it. Didn't explain the amenities. I only stay here once a year so I can't remember everything. My ick is finding random other people's hair in my room everywhere.

Room was very quiet even though very close to flight path of landing planes. Proximity to connecting freeways was very good.

The room was in a great location to catch a 6:00 am flight. There were two issues the facility should look at: 1. The top sheet for the queen bed barely covered the top of the bed without going at all down the side; 2. the hand soap pump at the bathroom sink was way to the left, leaving one’s hands to drip on toiletries on the counter while reaching for it.

This was the perfect place to rest after a trans-Pacific flight. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Welcoming and helpful staff. The breakfast had plenty of options. The gym is well equipped.

After a long trip, all I wanted was a quiet room with a hot shower and a comfortable bed. Hampton Inn has yet to let me down. Breakfast in the morning is a nice treat as well.

PDX Hampton Inn is a well maintained property. The staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast is abundant, the menu is varied. A facility we return to when travel is best done with an overnight stay near the airport before an early morning flight.

Significant aircraft noise, as expected from location of less than a mile from the airport and almost directly underneath an approach path. Closest restaurant is 1.25 miles away at Cascade Station. Walk is flat and sidewalks with crosswalks, so not bad.

I’m a Hilton Honors member so I was able to do the digital key which was very convenient. I took my daughter to the airport very early in the morning and appreciated seeing security walking around the parking lot. You’re right next to the runway so there is some noise, but it’s cool to watch the planes taking off.

The Hampton In turned away our 22-year old au pair who was traveling alone at 1030 at night after her flight from Mexico to Seattle had diverted to Portland due to weather, insisting that their policy required a physical credit card for incidentals without exception even though the reservation was fully paid. She moved to the U.S. less than 2 weeks ago and doesn’t have a card yet. This was despite her having Apple Pay with verbal verification from me along with the credit card number and a picture of my wife’s passport. Yet the Sheraton next door had no problem taking care of it - being understanding, empathetic, and reasonable. The only shred of decency and customer service was their committing to cancel the reservation and calling the Sheraton to verify they’d accept Apple Pay…before throwing a 22-yr old woman traveling alone with a paid reservation out on the street. Regardless of this so-called policy, the Hampton Inn staff representative was rude, inconsiderate, and, frankly, gave the impression that this policy may have been selectively applied given the guest’s ethnicity/religion. I would appreciate Expedia agreeing to cancel and refund the reservation (in line with the Hampton Inn’s commitment) in these unfortunate circumstances.

Had a great weekend stay at Hampton Inn (Hilton) which is just a stone’s throw from PDX. Our room was clean, the bed was firm, yet comfortable, and the fridge and AC/heater worked fine. The breakfast buffet was spotless and well-stocked with hot and cold food choices. Love the airport shittle service which is very convenient. The only minus was the 1/2 foot section of rust on the tub floor, but the rubber bathroom mat provided, covered the rust and we didn’t have to stand on it while showering. Overall, great stay.

Room is great. Bathtub has rust, but glad there was a rubbermaid mat to use. Love the complimentary supply of toiletries to use! Great product—Zero/0. Bed is nice and firm. Only thing missing is a micro, but it’s okay. Very convenient to shopping and PDX. 100% better than LaQuinta down the road!

I was only there for 12 hours because I had an early flight, but it was adequate. I sought dining (for dinner) at the nearby Sheraton. Beyond that, there was nothing close. Staff was awesome, and a shuttle was available to take me to the airport at 3:30 am. It served its purpose.

We had the room at the end of a hallway where there was an exit to the parking lot. It was very noisy. I tried to have the AC fan running all the time to drown out the noise, but it wouldn't stay on. Didn't sleep the entire night.

The property is located on Airport Way, which is right down the road from the airport. Therefore, it is very convenient. With that being said, it is noisy because the airplanes are flying over the hotel all night. The other thing to keep in mind is there a limited restaurant options within walking distance. If you want to go out to dinner, you can walk next door to the Sheraton or drive down the road, which is less than a mile. There was also some shopping. In terms of the hotel, it was fairly clean, but it seemed like the carpets needed to be clean.

I really appreciated the window covering, perfect for late night owls blocking out the light the light before a flight.

Our stay was nice but the bed was lumpy and squeaked rather badly. Breakfast was adequate. The most outstanding thing about our stay was the staff. Those that we interacted with were cheerful and very helpful.

We chose this hotel for its location--close to the airport. The shuttle service was excellent. The only improvement to service would have been if at check-in the staff had told us that there was a restaurant at the hotel next door, as there were no obvious restaurants close by.

Overall good experience

The only dislike I have is that I had to pay $15 USD per night for parking. That wasnt something I was prepared for I've never paid for parking at a hotel before. So I honestly wouldn't stay here again because of just that.

Our room was well appointed, inviting and comfortable. Bed comfort was spot on. There’s only one thing that I would change in this experience. Our room didn’t have a great odor and that part wasn’t pleasant.

Property was old and smelled like stale cigarettes. When I checked in there was cigarette ash on the toilet, hair wrapped around the shampoo bottles in the shower and hairs in the bed. It was 11:30 at night and I had a 5:30 am flight so I just took everything off the bed besides one sheet and slept like a mummy wrapped in my own clothes. Definitely won’t ever stay there again. For $180+ a night….

Convenient for the Airport, we were here to watch a relative play college football, not really to explore the town, this hotel is NOT near ANYTHING, but for a few nights it serves a purpose and the Sheraton next door has a good restaurant, which is why I put "good dining options" - even though that is the only one. I found out at the Sheraton that they offer 10% off for the Hampton Inn customers, the staff at Hampton Inn did not let us know that.. they were OK but nothing like the Lake Placid Hampton Inn, which is they sole reason I have made this hotel chain my go-to, when possible. Ozzy & co at Lake Placid are the bomb. The breakfast, cleanliness, etc. are solid for the price (even though that is creeping up, along with everything..), at these hotels, however.

Right by the Portland airport for those early morning flights. The shuttle runs 24/7, and they have breakfast food available for even the earliest flights. Very spacious and comfortable room with a good size bathroom. Surprisingly quiet; we could see the runway from our room but didn’t hear any noise. Convenient mini fridge in the room.

Hotel is convenient to the airport. The best part of this hotel is the shuttle service. The team that drove the shuttles were extremely friendly and helpful. Can’t say the same for the hotel front desk staff. Hopefully they were just having a bad weekend! The housekeeping staff were accommodating and kind. The breakfast was great.

We stayed for one night. It was exactly what we needed, close to the airport, transportation to and from the airport included, clean rooms, and a safe place to sleep that night.

Very dirty hotel. Upon entering our room, we were bombarded with a very strong mildew smell - enough that it was difficult to breathe. Hallways smell like smoke and carpet throughout the hotel was filthy. When we asked to change our room, they said the hotel was full and they couldn't change our room. They also refused to refund us. We checked out and went elsewhere and lost our money.

Overall very good. Carpet needs replacing.

Nice staff and fine hotel. The AC unit in the room was very loud Ave made it difficult to sleep along with the rumble from planes.

The employee checking is in was very efficient and friendly. He answered our questions about the airport shuttle service. Lobby was spacious and clean. The furniture in our room was nice and clean but the carpet was very stained with big stains everywhere. We had to catch a very early shuttle and the driver was very friendly. While we were waiting on the shuttle, the security guy sat at the lobby table on his phone the entire time he was waiting. Perhaps, he was on a break.

I like how it had an old type style vibe but I didn’t like the elevators both had an old burning rubber odor to it and I know couple times I hit the button the elevator was already on and sounded like the motor might die any time like a car engine does more often. I like full length mirrors and night light in bathroom nice 2 things automatic lights I. Hotel bathrooms should not be since I will take up to 30 minutes or longer in the bathroom picture yourself shower and you are completely wet naked and now in the dark. If you have an automatic sense you need to have another light you can turn on. Full mirror when bathroom door opens the mirror made the night light shine on my room and seem like sunrise or sunset feel I would recommend moving it over but does have positive to it as well. I enjoy the waffle maker but the waffle makers were in a position for some one 4’6 or shorter very difficult to use I wanted to use the one on the end since I don’t have to ask for help for the first time I use one not on end was a bit closer to edge this morning and yesterday it was too far back for me to put back cover and had to ask. I know I appreciate the lady who was trying to help me with fixing the waffle not realizing it was already done and I just want to remind the employees before turning waffle maker over asked the guest did you just put the batter in or has it finished. I’m not mad but the waffle were a little too much over cooked most need 2 minutes the most yours wasn’t 2:30-3

Sick in Portland due to delays. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming. They gave us bathroom supplies. They made arrangements for us to go to Target.

The check in was very friendly and the lobby appeared to be clean. However, upon entering the rooms, the carpets were horribly dirty. The ice makers were broken, on multiple floors, the pool was out of order and it appeared had been for quite some time. Not as advertised and certainly not worth the value.

Had a great stay at this Hampton Inn! The staff were all really friendly and answered all of my questions. Shoutout to Julia, Naresh, and William. My room was clean and spacious, the gym was nice, and the airport shuttle was super convenient. Breakfast was solid. Some downsides: pool was closed for maintenance, there aren't any restaurants within a short walking distance (not counting the one at the next-door Sheraton), and getting to downtown can be tough unless you rent a car or call an Uber. You could also hear some of the planes as they arrive and depart from PDX. Didn't bother me much, though. These are all issues related to the hotel's location; the staff and hotel itself are all pretty awesome.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The elevator was out of order so we had to use the stairs. Since my daughter has chronic joint pain, this was a problem for her, but they did their best to give us a room on the 2nd floor which would be close to the stairs.

Unfortunately, we booked a King with a sofa bed but was given just a king. This would not have been a problem but my daughter’s flights were cancelled and when we asked for a roll away we were told it was not available. If we were given the room we originally booked we would have been fine. We made it work though.

It's extremely convenient to the airport maybe 4 minute drive. Make sure you bring ear plugs because you're so close to the airport which means you're going to hear airplanes non-stop.

We arrived at the airport late at night and after getting our luggage called to see if we could get a shuttle. We were told they would send the shuttle right over and it was there before we ever got to the pickup point. Five mins later we were at the hotel. Despite being between 2 runways, the room was amazingly quiet and the mattress was one of the best of any hotels I’ve been to. It was perfect for staying near the airport!

Very helpful staff. We were only there a few hours before an early morning flight.

Check in was simple. The desk clerk was very helpful. Facility is convenient and user friendly.

Did not like- The noise of planes, no food around hotel, inconvenient to stay without car.

The hotel was clean and efficiently run.

We will just stopping to sleep before catching an early flight and the room was clean and comfortable and everything we needed for a short stay.
