    Travelers Beware!!! I booked a room with two double beds through my Expedia app. The property gave me a room with one (single) bed and a couch that was so filthy and full of brown stains my dog would not sleep on it. The pictures of the rooms on the internet are not actually what the rooms look like. I told the man at the front I booked a room with double beds. He claimed that was the last room available. I told him since they did not deliver on the correct room I booked there would be no other choice but to cancel my reservation and I wanted a refund. The Expedia associate also got the managers email and told mainstays to refund my money. So the next day when the manager got back instead of refunding me, she debited more money from my account!! Yet mainstays still does not believe they are in the wrong even telling Expedia they offered me another room, which is a lie. Not only is this property (employees) dishonest, it is very nasty! There were roaches crawling all over the ground and walls of the entrance. Do not waste your time and money on this property!!!

    Very unsanitary!! Left over food in the freezer, dirty dishes were in the dishwasher, used box of tissue in the bathroom, molded shower curtain and, pubic hairs in the shower!!!!

    The price for three nights was decent and they accommodate me for an early arrival and the staff was very helpful. The room appears to be cleaned but found left over food by bedside and a dead roach in bathroom and there was no pots or pans to use the stove.

    We booked this last minute and honestly didn't think it was going to be that great. I was totally surprised. Hotel was in good condition, clean and the staff were very friendly. It wasn't on a main road so it was quiet. Definitely would stay there again.

    Absolutely nothing The price is overpriced. When I got there I was told that they didn’t have any available rooms even though I was able to book online. Then all of a sudden I was given a room that wasn’t clean whatsoever, the bed spread and the sheets were bloody. And I was double charged which was absolutely ridiculous to me.

The bathroom did not have a floor towel/rug. The bathroom in the lobby was out of order, until further notice. The remote control for the TV did not have a back. I always try to clean it. Not enough counter space in the bathroom. Had to use the back of the toilet to hold my products, which kept falling on a filthy floor. Also, had to use an air freshener because the room had a stale odor.

    The location was a little hard to find but the staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room could have used a little better cleaning. Looked like there were coffee stains on the floor of the kitchen, and there were food/drink items left in the refrigerator. The upper lock was cracked on the door, so not sure how well it would have held up if someone tried to break into our room, but unfortunately we did not notice until very late in the evening with an already sleeping child.

    This property needed a major cleaning and update. There was rarely anyone at the front desk so did not feel very secure. Add the fact that our toilet's water was HOT and legit heated the toilet and the entire bathroom and it was just an interesting experience. Would NOT book again. You get what you pay for here.

    There were multiple problems with my room. I have pictures to prove everything. I did not go to the front about anything because when I checked in they were telling another customer all rooms were filled and I knew they would not be able to switch me to a better room and I did not have time to book at a different hotel. When I walked in the room it smelled. After inspection I think it was the chair near the window. The floor at the kitchen was so sticky my shoes were sticking to it. I had to “mop” it with a towel and it obviously hadn’t been mopped in a while. There was sticky stuff on door knobs, walls, fridge, bathroom cabinet. There was a large cockroach I had to kill near AC unit. Another small one in the bathroom. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. The bathroom floor nasty and hadn’t been mopped. The pillows were all half the size of a normal pillow. The AC was not working properly and wouldn’t regulate the temperature. None of these things are acceptable and if I had a different option on not staying there I would have.

    The sink and toilet was clogged for the entire stay and the front desk gave me the plunger to do it myself while the room service was supposed to do it! There was a live cockroach on the AC unit. The whole room was stinking with a funny smell like poop especially in kitchen area. Our room was 105. The wall behind the comod had dried poop splattered on the wall. The shower head was rusted. We were very disappointed with the stay. Expedia.com you need to visit property before giving them ratings!

    1. Front desk at check in, dude was a jerk. 2. Rooms we booked were NOT the rooms we received. 4 people…we were given 1 bed. He would not fix it. 3. Asked for extra pillows and blankets to try and make the 1 bed situation work, he told us no. “Make your own” is what we were told with towels. 4. Toilet wouldn’t flush in one room. 5. All rooms were dirty. 6. Air in one room didn’t work. It was 86 degrees and wouldn’t cool. 7. Shower didn’t stay hot. Would go hot and cold for the entire duration of shower.

    Book here for a night for the concert and couldn’t use the kitchen area at all. The dishwasher was molded and had dishes left in there forever. The smell was horrible. The kitchen rags was all stained. They not wiping down the counters. Where the trash sits all the stuff thrown in the trash is right beside the cabinet. This is a nice building but who ever is cleaning some of these rooms needs training

    This property needs some inside repairs. Our room security lock was broken. Shower head would not work properly and no hot water sometimes. No utensils in the kitchen area. Coffee pot was broken. Needs new mattresses. OLD ONES. elevator was broken. No ice machine . Sorry but we're looking at another place for next year. We've been staying here for 4 yrs, but we will not be back. Location was great for us. We travel for work.

    When I checked in I was enformed the elevator was broken and had been for about 2 weeks. I was placed on the 3rd floor with no assistance in getting all my luggage up several flights of stairs. The room was filthy and smelled of marijuana. The last 3 days of my stay the hot water was out and the hotel was not sure when it would be fixed. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel. Hopefully new management can come in to improve standards.

    I stay here every time I visit the Raleigh area and this is the first time I had an awful experience. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, the room was also all slanted so everything felt like you were going to slide. All of the tiles in the bathroom were cracked. In the bathroom I was only given one towel, which was fine since it was a one night stay and my husband didn’t need a shower. Not sure wha happened but the room we were in (324) should not be rented out. By the time we got in after the hockey game I was exhausted as I am disabled and just wanted sleep. I’d hope we were not sat in this room due to having a service dog and I have never been put in a room this awful when the normal woman is there at check in.

    The rooms need charger ports for USB cables. We couldn't charge our phones after working an event and we were nearly 3 hours from home. Also, the pillows were uncomfortable, as was the mattress. We had to ask for clean sheets because there were stains on the sheets. Then, we ended up having to change the sheets ourselves. Not a big deal, but the stay lacked any comfort. No trash can or conditioner in the bathroom. Again, not a huge issue, but it would have been nice to have those things.

    All and all if you are looking for an area near the Cary area and you do not want to pay Hilton prices and for those people who are looking for a better bang for your buck I would not steer you from this area or this hotel or extended stay should I say but please do not expect for housekeeping to knock on your door on the daily asking if you need room service do not expect a hot breakfast or a continental breakfast do expect to pay with your credit card or debit card cash app Venmo, PayPal or tap to pay is not allowed there is a fee for your animals or your fur babies whichever you would like to call them if you dirty up the towels where they cannot be used again expect to pay a fee for that and for your sheets or blankets accidents happen so you better figure out how to clean it before you leave. Do not expect the room to be fully stopped with the things that you use at home. There is a Walmart down the street along with a Harris Teeter in Lowe’s and target figure it out from there. Do you expect a $45 late fee if you plan to stay longer so my solution to that is book through the third-party only because you will receive better deals and better discounted rates do not expect the rooms to be cleaned clean them yourself for your comfort. Also have a cell phone the room phones do not work so if there is an emergency, I don’t know what you’re gonna do. Check the beds because my son and I had to change rooms due to the mattress literally sinking in literally

    The room has a flatscreen TV that since mountain on the wall, it has a spacious work desk, big enough for a laptop, maybe 3 to 4 monitors and a CPU unit if you want one it comes with a two I flat stove burner. It comes with a microwave, a dishwasher and a full refrigerator. It comes with one sitting or reading chair and air conditioning unit that is ran Old school not a central AC unit that is ran on the wall. It has the system for the AC unit to work on the wall, but it does not you have to physically go press the buttons on the AC unit for it to work. There is a nice full mirror inside of the closet where you can store your clothes and ironing board and an iron. If you so choose to use it they say that they come fully stop with the utensils that you need as if you were at your home away from home, but that is not true. In my particular unit I had 2 cups three forks two spoons three of the black plastic spoons that you get from the dollar store one butter knife, a toaster, one frying pan not deep frying pan but flat frying pan and one pot. They have a coffee machine maker small enough to make one cup in the bathroom. There is a full-size tub toilet a nice vanity mirror and the counter space in the bathroom is plenty enough for one person not too so fellas if you come with your lady don’t expect any counter space you’re better off using the work desk for your things.     I do understand that business is business and it is strictly financial. A part of my business is also traveling to different hotels and providing people with the truth about different hotels in the North Carolina area and what to honestly expect from the hotels past the pictures I am also providing advice to single mothers, single fathers and families who are in transition And showing them the best areas to stay and how to get a bang for your book since times are hard for everyone due to the change in the economy. I tell my daughter always be careful of the people that you entertain or meet because you never know who they work for or what they’re working for the hotel or extended stay is equipped with the following amenities. Please read the next comment for the amenities and the truth about the way they actually look I can say with the amount of money that they’re making with a hotel being priced at $84.99 a night with tax they should be able to find a vendor that could provide people with muffins, bananas, apples, crescent, rolls, something simple just to give back to the people that put into them. Your business is always the people first at the rate that this location is going I don’t foresee it lasting long if changes are not made. i’m not quite sure who the regional manager is of this site but I’m very good at finding out the information that I need when you are staying at these type of establishments make sure you read the fine print cross your T’s and dot your eyes

    I would have to say the staff the older gentleman with the gray hair I’m not for sure with his name is, but he was very helpful. Also, the young lady with the dreads or locks was very helpful soft spoken, and very sweet. My issue came in with the young lady that was or is the manager, I guess She seemed to be lacking communication with her staff, the young lady with the red hair seemed to be sweet, but did the bare minimum I would ask for the large trash bags and she will always give me the small ones not big enough to clean anything. I asked her for a broom one night to be able to clean my room or sweeten my room she gave me a broken broom and broken dustpan. She didn’t seem to wanna do anything except for sitting in the chair, which is fine whenever I asked for clean linen, she would always be missing something like the mattress covering or the quilt that came with the blanket because the rooms got very cold. I never exchanged my towels cause I always washed them at their laundry site. So I would rewash my own towels that they provided and occasionally I will go to my trunk and get my own towels that I bought laundry facility a bit pricey 225 will really 250 to wash and dry the Spanish lady that worked at night very sweet never had an issue out of her. The manager not really fond of. She has curly hair. No real communication with her staff. She would tell me oh I’m not gonna charge you to $45 late fee and then till the girl with the red hair oh, she’s charging me either way

    I showed the front desk and they said the exterminator just came - I was advised that someone would come by and clean the room and bring more towels but that never happened and I sent my son to the front desk at a late hour he rang bell and no one came so we just made due with what we had . Very disappointed at our stay -and we’ve stayed here before

    I hate to leave this review because we stayed here in aDec. 2024 and had not one complaint. But this time thefloors weren’t clean. Debris in the corners on the floor. The bed felt like an air mattress. My niece stayed in another room and the bathroom light didn’t work. My microwave was broken so I went to my niece room to heat my sandwich. Not sure if I will book here again.

    The heater sounds like a transfer truck running, the refrigerator sounded like it was going to take off running any moment. When the heater turns off it goes boom. The top of the fridge was dirty and it was bugs in the carpet not sure what kind and the sink look like it was going to fall off the wall at any moment.

    I have stayed in Cary a number of times and this was the worst place I have ever stayed. Hotels.com should be embarrassed to even have this place as a listing. We arrived late Thursday night and the went out for the day and came back to a roach in the room. I tried to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work. I called from my cell phone and was hung up three times. I went down and was met with indifference. I I didn’t ask for a refund just asked to be able to leave without penalty and nothing. The room was filthy. Stained bathroom floors that had hair everywhere. Dusty and dirty surfaces, stained bedding Hotels.com staff was also not able to resolve anything! We left the next morning a day early.

    This place is falling apart. Stains on all of the floor carpets in every hallway. Elevator & every wall shows heavy damage. Only one of our two door keys worked. Our kitchen floor was sticky with who knows what. It has a large breakfast area with only coffee and hot water and a tiny "No Breakfast" sign. I have no idea how this location retains the MainStay Suites branding.

    Room temperature was very good as air conditioning was on. Clean room and bathroom. Not a lot of activity in hallways as I had a dog, he stayed quiet for the most part. Dog fee is $50 additional at check in and $10 per night. A little steep but is what it is. Bed was fine. Not super plush but I wasn’t uncomfortable. Full size refrigerator, sink, a nice little kitchen if you’re staying for a bit. Safe outside as your in Cary NC. Good stay.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!! there are roaches. not only when we got there was the room gross. like dirty gross. the floor in the kitchen area was coming up, sticky, and the carpet had not been vacuumed in a while. the bathroom tube had gross stains and the floor was yellow. (was supposed to be white) the walls in the all had disgusting stains on them. the second night we were there we were walking back into the hotel and there were giant bugs outside. i thought maybe water bugs. but then we got into the hotel and there welder tiny light brown roaches in the hall way. we then got into our room and there was a roach ON THE WALL! there was no one at the front desk so we killed it. went through our stuff and took it to the car. the next morning when we told the staff they said sorry and then checked us out. i am fully disgusted and uncomfortable. please don’t stay here if you enjoy being clean.

    I’ve worked in hospitality for the last 20 yrs. I received a 2 hour early check in for booking with Expedia. When we walked in at 1:00 pm the lobby smelled like a dirty bathroom and there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign saying the desk attendant was away assisting other guests. It took 3 minutes for her to come out. Check in is not until 3 so this is understandable. She had an inconvenienced attitude when asking what we needed. I said, I have a reservation and gave my name. She said check in wasn’t until 3:00 and I said I get an early one as an added amenity and had my phone open to the reservation details. She said something to the effect of “let me see your phone”’ so I showed her. She said oh yeah or something like that. The rest of check in was okay. We were given a first floor room at the end of the hall. There was an outside entrance with a door that slammed loudly, very often. The location was convenient but the noise was unfortunate and disturbing. This could have been the only room ready at our check in or it could have been retaliatory. The room had a off putting smell, like stale deodorizer, dark and drab with stained carpet and very “run down”. The bathroom floor and tub were dirty with hair and debris. The toilet was stained and there was no trash can. The queen bed was small, more like a full size mattress and the pillows were very small. The guest wifi never came up when searching for available networks, nor was the address written anywhere.

    We had also seen a few roaches, and I ended up killing one that was in the bathroom. I did tell the front desk, and they said that they’d report it to the GM, but have not heard anything back yet on that. The staff was nice, just a lil dismissive when I brought up the issues, which I know they’re probably tired of hearing the same complaints over and over, and from reading the other reviews, I know now I am not the only one to face these issues. Luckily I did not stay much longer, we ended up checking out way earlier than planned because the roach problem really turned us off.

    Upon arrival we could not enter the hotel because the door was locked with no one at the front desk. After finally getting in to our room, there was a gaping hole in the ceiling. I called the front desk and they told me they were already aware of it but still booked that room for us. We also found multiple bugs in the bed, bathroom, and counter-space.

    The place is not clean. Carpets in the corridors are dirty and smell awful. The floor of the kitchen area and bathroom in the room we stayed in was sticky with bad smell. No room service and we had to clean them ourselves. The fridge in the room was noisy.

    While the working staff were helpful, it was difficult to overlook the multiple amenities that were not working/very difficult to use. When we got to the room, we noticed we were missing soap, shampoo, and towels. The lock on the front door was not working, and the microwave would continuously beep throughout the night. It did the job for a short stay, but the quality of the room was subpar.

    Getting into the room One bed was covered in long and short pieces of hair, I completely stripped bed and got clean sheets from downstairs. Bathroom floor seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and the kitchen floor either. Had to make a quick run to dollar tree to get items to clean room. I would have rather stayed in my car for the days that we were there on business. 2/10

    There were several fights in the hallways between people and in the lobby with the staff. We were there a total of 4 days. Our bathroom, it smelt horrible of cigarette smoke, we were out of shampoo and had limited towels for the amount of people that were registered for that room. My kids were very skeptical on staying alone in the hotel due to all the fights.

    Every single person that works here is super friendly. The manager is a real nice guy and the house keepers work hard to keep the rooms clwan. I literally saw one of the ladies climb on top of the counter to clean above the cabinets, wow!

    I understand it’s a budget hotel. However, the photos are outdated. The gym has 3 rickety old machines and there is no breakfast offered as advertised in the photos. Not a dealbreaker, but the facility should update the descriptions and photos so customers can have an adequate expectation.

    This property looks nothing like the pictures. I did not feel safe so I had to book another reservation. The front desk clerk was nice though. The spaces are outdated and gives “dirty”. The bottom of the doors are dirty and everyone is loud. The furniture in the room are not the best. This property is the definition of “you get what you pay for”.

    Needed something just for a few days and based on the price, I think I was still expecting a little bit better. Checked in had to move rooms three times due to the rooms being dirty. Finally, I stuck with the third room however, there was hair on top of the bed in the sheets stains on the curtains kitchen was dirty, but I did not have any other options so had to stick it out. If you don’t mind cleaning everything yourself and need something with the kitchen then this could work for you. But if you want something, three stars are better. This is not the place.

    Was an ok place to sleep. Front desk lady was nice and welcoming. Other then that nothing but a place to shower and sleep. When we booked it did say continental breakfast was provided, however when we woke up and went to the lobby there was a sign that said they no longer offer breakfast. Towels in the room were folded etc, however when we went to use them only one was clean. Room could use some painting and smelled a bit musty.

    Room was absolutely not clean and the bottom floor smelled like pot non stop. Bathroom was filthy and not clean. Had stains everywhere. Hanger was broke. Aluminum ball just randomly in the bathroom. “Clean” towers still had dirt and yellow stains on them. Sticky floor all over the room. I asked a person coming out if they liked it there and they said meh and now I see why.

    I am writing to express my disappointment with the condition of my recent stay at your hotel. The room was unfortunately not up to standard. There were noticeable stains on the chairs, and one of them had accumulated dirt and debris under the cushion. Additionally, the room's floor was unclean and emitted an unpleasant odor, as if it had been mopped with a greasy substance. Due to these conditions, my husband and I felt it necessary to purchase our own towels and bedding to ensure a more comfortable stay. Furthermore, there was a family with young children staying in the lobby area, which created a rather chaotic and noisy environment. Despite these issues, I would like to acknowledge that the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.     Upon check-in, we were told that the room I had asked for was not available and they did not have handicapped rooms, I asked for a walk in shower because I had hip surgery . I had also asked for a suite with a sofa, Rashsa, said they didn't have any rooms like that, website says they do. Was given a room 314 top floor, no towels. Coffee pot wasn't working, toaster out of order, no cups,no plates,no silverware, roaches running in the cabinets, ice maker didn't work , THEY GAVE US AN ICE TRAY ,said that's the best they could do. Bathroom had black hair everywhere, I used my dawn dishwash to clean the tub and sink. BEDS WERE VERY OLD, THEY SQUEAK everytime you moved. Metal rusty squeeks. People hanging around smoking pot all night.

    First, I was coming in on business at the last minute and was looking at the photos - I purposely picked this place due to the breakfast photo. None offered! The bathroom was so run down. The tub was dirty - I didn’t even shower. The bedding had stains. The fridge was 100 years old & loud. This place 100% cat fished me! I’ll never be back & so disappointed I wasted over $100 here! The location is also random! By a school. I love the trailer parked in a handicap spot too! Ridiculous.

    Bathroom faucets, toilet and tub were not clean. I cleaned myself and so much dirt came off. The kitchen area was also dirty. The room had a terrible smell and the ac worked on and off. We had to sleep with the window open to cool the room down. The beds were super uncomfortable. The staff were rude as I had to argue with them for a room change. After arguing, they allowed the room change but we decided to stay in the room after finding the other room was even dirtier.

    The dishes, utensils, cups are very sparse so if you plan to make a lot of meals, better bring your own or somehow ask them to provide more. Overall very clean, carpet, couch and chairs could use some updating but we would definitely stay here again!
