Breakfast is basically boiled eggs and cereal

Upon arrival, I noticed multiple walls that had clearly been repaired with spackle, but the repairs were never properly finished. The patched areas had not been sanded smooth or painted over, giving the room an unfinished and poorly maintained appearance. Cleanliness was also a concern. The comforter appeared dirty near the top edge where it comes into contact with your face. There was a noticeable brown discoloration that made me question whether the bedding had been properly cleaned. Several fixtures were in poor condition as well. The hairdryer was barely attached to the wall and appeared to be hanging on by a single screw. Likewise, the toilet paper holder was loose and looked like it could fall off at any time. The bathroom showed significant wear and tear. The bathtub mat, which appeared to have originally been clear, had yellowed to the point that it was almost completely opaque, making it look old and unclean. Overall, the room felt neglected and in need of both maintenance and better housekeeping attention. I expected a higher standard of upkeep and cleanliness and was disappointed by the condition of the accommodations.

Clean room much quieter than I anticipated. Pictures on Expedia made it seem there was more view & closer to the beach. That was a bit disappointing but to be fair it said “close to beach”.

The check-in staff was great. The rest of the staff could care less about helping. There’s no elevator which it doesn’t say anywhere in the listing of the hotel. There’s no parking very small area. The breakfast is pastries and cereal so it’s not really breakfast the room is clean, but the lights flickered. Not impressed would never stay there again.

I liked the power outlets next to the bed The bathroom had a weird smell and the ventilator was too loud...I could not turn on the bathroom light without hearing that loud noise. The shower was ok but not as powerful as I wanted. I also thought I booked at a Wyndham property online but this was not a Wyndham. It was just Ramada limited

Nothing Pictures online show it's on the beach No where near the beach! Hotel looks nothing like online pictures. Door jam looked like someone kicked it in. The AC was essentially a fan NO AC. Quite a few homeless hanging around. No vending machines on site. No access to water, soda for hydration.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The free breakfast was Costco snacks. Not breakfast! The only thing positive about this place was the location. Close to the Harbor.

Staff was great, hotel is about ten minutes walking from the beach. There are tons of restaurants out on the pier. Everything you need is right there. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

The staff was very helpful. The location is close to the ocean and the Redondo Beach pier. It was very nice to have a short walk to the beach. The hotel had a lot of underground parking. Although the hotel is on a busy street, our room was quiet. The room is dated and the toilet seat looked dirty but overall, it was a good stay.

Wish the window could open it for air in all night with safe bottom, so you don’t need fan or air conditioner.

I am very disappointed that four payments were taken out of my checking account. Im trying to resolve the issue but the refuse to take my call.

the last night I was there while I was laying in bed I felt stings to my legs n found multiple bites in clusters I’ve never experienced that and they definitely weren’t mosquitos so keep that in mind if booking (possibly bed bugs) the location was convenient the inside wasn’t bad it’s just the bugs that made it a deal breaker

It was ok nothing special.

Room was clean but rather musty smelling. Clerk during the evening shift charged the same amount as what had been prepaid ( 147.00) for the room. I asked what the charge was for he said it was a room deposit for incidentals , this was after he said that the incidentals charge is $100.00. I tried to get an explanation but the clerk just kept making excuses and going around and around with an explanation that didn’t make sense. Posting a clear explanation of charges at the night window would avoid this problem.

Family in both rooms had noticed black socks from the floors. The room seemed clean but the floor was not. I asked for compensation upon departure and never heard back from the Manager. The location was only about 7 minutes from the Pier, good for that, but I would recommend that you stay elsewhere. It reminded my of an old Motel 6 or something like that. We stayed because of price comparison to other hotels near buy. Would not stay again

This place was a disappointment. The photos are dated, the TV was not 35", the bathtub drain would backup 2min into your shower, the mini fridge setting was freeze or heat ruined so much. Oh and the floors were not clean when we arrived nor the 1 time housekeeping came. Stains on the towels & the sheets. The fan worked when it wanted & practically shook itself out of the ceiling. Black moldy spots on bathroom walls.

It is in very poor condition. Our room had a 4” x 4” place on the floor that was obviously compromised. The flooring was crack because there was nothing supporting it. The door, when closed, had gaps all around and felt very unsecured. We had difficulty closing the black out drapes because several grommets had separated from the drapes. The pillows absolutely sucked!

The sofa bed was extremely dirty—there were actual fecal stains and a large amount of crumbs. It was honestly disgusting. We didn’t discover it until the morning when we opened the bed, and when we reported it, staff said we should have mentioned it at check-in.

The room was clean but has a smell. Nice that they have good quality pillows. No hot breakfast, just very basic continental breakfast. They have enough, well lit garage. Good enough for a one night stay.

Quiet oasis on a busy rd with plenty of parking and decent tidy rooms. Breakfast could of done with some cold meats and cheese otherwise it was ok.

The hotel is in a safe and up scale neighborhood and is a nice walk to the beach and the pier. The hotel is nothing fancy, but has been renovated. The rooms and clean and comfortable.

Breakfast and parking were good. The room not so good. The refrigerater smelled bad. The ceiling fan only had one speed...slow. The air unit had the buttons worn out and had to press and guess how the unit worked. The staff were very nice. Location was great.

Stay was fine. There were stains on the bed spreads, and hair in the tub. The TV was non functional (none of the apps worked, and the only "live" channel was hallmark.

Bring slippers to wear around the room because the floors are not clean and you won’t want to be barefoot. I’ve never been so horrified by a hotel room floor before. The mattress is also not great, no support, lumpy. The only perk of this hotel was the location.

Not a pleasant stay. Various characters in the hotel courtyard and balcony involved in shouted discussions from 1:30am to 3:30am. Very concerning. Then staff involved in loud discussions in an adjoining room from 5:30 am. Breakfast minimal and barely meets the definition.

Great location. 5 minute walk to beach/pier. Clean rooms. Large tv. First night at 5am someone was out front of their room screaming a few doors down. The phone in the room didn’t work so I had to find the number online and call the front desk. The lady said she knows about the screaming. 5:45 am the police showed up and the screaming stopped. I understand this wasn’t directly the hotels fault, but it really screwed up my family’s vacation as we couldn’t go back to sleep and getting up at 5am is not ideal while on vacation. The continental breakfast was one of the worst I have ever seen also as it was only white bread, one kind of cereal, packaged hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and bananas. My advice would be to spend the extra $30 a night and stay somewhere else.

Amazing location. 15 minute walk to Redondo Pier and the beach. Was not clean. The floors hadn’t been swept/mopped, dirty and clogged shower drain. Dirty walls, and lots of hair everywhere. Even the ‘clean’ towels had hair and other stuff on them. I had to try to clean the floors myself because we were tracking hair into our beds from our socks/feet. Some of the floor boards were loose and the fridge would not get cold. It’s a shame because the staff was very nice and the room/hotel itself has a lot of potential. Maybe the cleaning staff is understaffed.

Only good things I can say is that the staff was friendly and the proximity to the beach / pier was great. The room was filthy and wreaked of urine. The only parking is underground and there is no elevator. You have to carry your luggage (and in my case child) up numerous flights of concrete stairs.

Not far from the beach and we liked the location. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut tightly, ceiling fan don’t work. Even so for the price and location I would stay again. Best price was on Expedia.

Nice little place next to the beach

Small cramped room with narrow passage for 2 people. The only countertop doubles as a desk, open bathroom door blocks the only sink. Dilapidated refrigerator with duct tape across door shelves. Exterior stairs in the pouring rain with gutterless roof (waterfall soaking). Crummy floor baseboard. Gap around entire door lets in air and daylight. To top it off, we were charged an extra $40 per night for a third adult family member who stayed in our room with 2 queen beds.

I never write this bad of reviews, but this really was the worst experience I've ever had staying at a hotel. The room when i walked in had cables dangling from the ceiling where the fire alarm should of been. Two of the walls had literally plaster all over! They weren't even sanded down to at least somewhat less eyesoring. The restroom was dirty. The toilet handle was barely handing by a limb off the wall. The air conditioner wasnt working.

It worked. Ok location, just because it is right on PCH. So just hope your room is not on the street side. Easy walk 2 blocks from the beach. Staff was not super helpful or friendly. Room again was just ok, but with the cost of things, everything is expensive. And this room wasn’t the most expensive around. Felt safe and just used the room as somewhere to sleep.

Hotel and room were okay, especially for the price. The hotel appears recently renovated with lots of potted plants everywhere, giving the courtyard/parking lot a nice vibe. We lit courtyard as well. And the actual parking is in their underground garage, off the street. Very secure.

Staff was excellent. The room smelled like smoke. They switched me to another room, but it was more of the same. Smoke smell but covered up by cleaning solution. Substandard room with stains on pillow cases, deferred maintenance in unit and broken shutters. Staff was very nice and accommodating however will not return due to building. Wish I could have received a refund and gone elsewhere. Good location.

Parking for my disabled spouse who is wheelchair bound was perfect, a few steps to the hotel room door.

We are not picky travellers and only needed a place to sleep but this place was genuinely unpleasant. Avoid it. Staff were consistently miserable and unhelpful. We stayed five nights and never once had hot water when trying to shower. Every time we needed to use the shower we had to call the front desk and wait for the water to heat up. Housekeeping was effectively nonexistent. The room was never cleaned, sheets and towels were not changed once, the floors were dirty, and there was visible mould in the room. I asked at the front desk one morning if housekeeping could attend the room. Someone came in, changed a bin, and left. The only reason I knew they had been there was because they left their window cleaner behind. No cleaning was actually done. Breakfast was extremely poor with very limited options. On the first day there were no knives available. When I asked staff, I was told they couldn’t find any locally to buy, which was strange as we purchased our own later that day without issue. Seating for breakfast was also very limited, maybe enough for around ten people for the entire hotel. The only positives were free parking and being about a 15 minute walk to a park for the kids. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. This hotel was the only negative memory from an otherwise great trip I would find somewhere else

The room was cosy with basic amenities. It was not serviced daily. The breakfast was a light breakfast, but enough to get the day started. The courtyard between all rooms was closed for the entire duration for maintenance, which was disruptive and very noisy - I would expect to have been forewarned.

The room was clean but it had some noise from outside even though I requested a quiet room. The FREE breakfast doesn’t have too many varieties to choose if you are ok to eat cereal, toast, oatmeal, Danish and banana.

All 4 pillow tops were dirty like if they were on the floor. The bathroom had long hair on the floor, the fan didn't work, the shower wasn't even working properly. The only thing that saved you guys from leaving a bad review is the hot tub. That's was the best part. The breakfast was 1/10 I didn't have anything. Would we visit again??? I don't know.

We’re not boujee travelers, but this was a stretch even for us. Bathroom had black mild on the ceiling and the mini fridge too. Noisy rooms where you can hear mechanical noises and neighbors. The construction noise- couldn’t sleep during the day. This was not addressed while booking- had I known, I would’ve not booked.

Half of the hotel is under construction, the front desk smelled like cigarettes and they were not ADA compliant at all. In fact, the front desk said they don’t have to be ADA compliant

This place was exceptional. The room was very clean, updated, had options for tv. Ryan the manager on duty was pleasant and so kind. He allowed us to drop our bags before check in and again the next day for several hours before heading to the airport. And the location was five minute walk to beach.

Certainly not clean enough. Parking takes nerves of steel, and requires a tight turning radius to get to make the sharp turn into the underground lot. The lit and stairs frequently smell of weed.

This place is a few blocks walking distance to the beach and a nice kids park at Veteran's park. There is a small breakfast place 1.5 blocks to the north called Cozy Cafe. A liquor store to the immediate south about 50 years. Our water pressure in the shower was just over a dribble. The room had updated features and talk ceilings. The floor needs redone in Room 106. Missing a section and pulling apart. The breakfast at the hotel is grab and go items with little variety. There is no pool or spa. We were able to check in early and appreciated that from the staff.

Basic, spacious room very near the beach. Room has had a refresh but premises are quite old and somewhat unattractive. Good value for the money on weekdays. Best feature is its proximity to the beach. Breakfast is mostly cheap carbs and the coffee is mediocre.

This hotel use to be owned many years ago by a family who kept it clean and tidy. At the time it was new with a fresh look. I've stayed there many times and have referred friends and family. It's been a little while since I've been back. It was an absolute disappointment. First room had a ridiculous amount of mold in the bathroom, a pipe looked like it had leaked onto the baseboards and the mold smell had overtaken it. They were kind enough to give me another room and I appreciate that. But the door would not lock properly and there was a massive gap where anyone can easily kick it in. Slept with a chair underneath the knob all night as a female traveler you want to be safe. Someone must have put a dog in that room and urinated all over the vinyl floor in the bathroom or perhaps it was a leak don't know but it smelled so bad that I had to keep the door closed all night and couldn't hardly use it. Then the next morning there's a Fire Marshal check. When I travel I'm there to rest and sleep in instead you're woken up to some maintenance guy yelling at everybody knocking on the room doors just all around was disrespectful. Luckily I already packed my stuff and ready to leave. Maids are literally throwing bundles of towels and sheets from the second level down below thud, thud! It was a horrible first night. Could be a great place again but they need some money invested in getting it back to where it was. I personally would not stay here again!

I have stayed here another time. The location is safe and close to everything I needed for my short trip. The rooms were clean and pretty comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for privacy and space. I liked that the parking is in a garage under the hotel. There is no elevator, so you may want to unload on the hotel level before parking. Breakfast is very basic, but there are number of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby if you require something more substantial. I would stay again. Next time I’ll bring my own pillow just for my personal comfort. The hotel pillows may be fine for others.

The hotel was convenient to our family who we were visiting. It was walking distance to the Redondo Beach Pier. The breakfast was basic, consisting of Cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee, tea, and toast. There was no microwave available in dining area. While they supplied instant oatmeal you had to take it back to your room to microwave it.

I alwsys come here when I'm in LA. The beach is 3 blocks away. I love this place and have been coming here for over 10 years.

The property was fine. It's probably a 6.0 overall, but it was rated at an 8.8, it's nowhere near that. It's reasonably clean, but the bathroom has mold and the area within the hotel property is pretty dirty. If you like topless women standing in front of their windows, that does improve the rating a little bit, because there were a couple of those

We have stayed at various hotels in the same area, and this one will be our first choice next time we are in the area.

Check in was easy. The entrance to the hotel and the parking were a little different. You have to go down to park but I was able to find a spot in the small courtyard above. The room was simple and clean. The only issue/concern I had was that the area around the toilet did not seem very stable…like the floor was a little weak. The was also in a small spot outside my door on the walkway (second floor). The continental breakfast was sufficient… only really need coffee. Overall a nice stay.

Rooms and commons areas very clean

I liked it wasn’t far from the beach. We were unable to be accommodated for being ADA. We both had to climb stairs to 2nd floor. I was told no rooms available on the 1Also the door to our room was scary. Wrong door size. Had all kinds of cracks. I could see the light in the hallway. Tub was old and wouldn’t come clean. The advertisement said. hot tub. No Barton. Breakfast was the barest continental.breakfast in a very small area.

Large clean double room near the beaxh

This is an older hotel but has been updated with fresh paint. Rooms look light and airy. Underground parking was nice, not having to worry about car being parked on the street. Although breakfast is advertised there was no breakfast and no coffee, only hot water, for the 2 days we were there.

This is a wonderful location within a few blocks of the Redondo Beach and the pier. There are quite a few good restaurants within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and the towels are provided daily if requested. Breakfast is cereal, toast juice, coffee, etc but there is a Trader Joes nearby and a fridge and microwave on the room. There is no elevator so if stairs are a problem, ask for ground floor.

Quick walk to the beach, very convenient. Room was clean, exterior of building seemed to be in the middle of remodel.

This place is .6 miles from the beach! At night, I could hear seals! This definitely is a 5 star type of place, but the price is reasonable, I felt very safe as a solo traveler, and check-in was a breeze. The grout around the tub needs to be redone in the bathroom...but other than that, the room was clean. The bed was comfy and they had plenty of shampoo, body wash, conditioner and lotion which is always appreciated. This place is right on Pacific Coast Highway, so traveling around is a breeze.

Continental breakfast is very basic (cereal, oatmeal packets, toast, coffee, bananas and oranges). I would rate it higher but there was a bag of trash by the outdoor trash can leaking coffee for the full duration of our stay (3 days). It’s like it was pulled out of the trash can and then left near it. Location was key at this hotel.

Garage is 2 flights of stairs down. No elevator provided.

Convenience and value!

Not fancy, but exactly what we needed for a beach weekend.

Bfast was quite unimpressive and the room was not serviced when it was supposed to be. We slept in sand by the fourth night to a level not reasonable. It said service including sheets and towels every three days and they came in without any sweeping or sheets to put new towels in day three, but that was it. I would not stay again (my standards are low and not hard to meet...).

I had to leave and find another room close by I didn’t get my money back

They had construction going on a saturday and our room had spongey floors. The room otherwise was decent. We arrived at 3:15 pm and were told check in was anytime after 3. Our room was not ready and we had to wait til 3:40pm to access our room. This motel is way over priced. The only good thing was it is walking distance to Redondo Pier.

The mattress feels like I’m sleeping on the floor.

This place is a DUMP! I walked into the room and walked right out. Horrible smell and everything was outdated and damaged. Don't waste your money!

The hotel and our room was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly specially Ryan. We would definitely go back.

Staff we very helpfull to us. My wife is handicap with significant mobility issues. The accessible rooms are located close to the handicapp parking making access to the rooms very easy for the companion. Beds were comfortable and the pier is close by and accessible also.

The staff was very friendly but the room had tile lifting from water and the bathroom door you had to lift to close, the didn’t clean our room not once while we stood there , Best part of hotel walking distance to beach !!!

Great stay! Close walk to Redondo Pier. Only downfall, iron was rusty and stained our clothes. Fan in restroom is restroom loud.

If you are trying to not pay a fortune to stay near the beach this place is still walking distance or a quick Uber drive. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean.

100% recommend. We got the family room. It was very nice and fun for the children. Our second room didn't have a television, but it was still very nice. Some are of the hotel room had the "landlord special" paint over it, but it was still very nice with microwave, desk and coffee machine in the room. It was great to walk to the beach (approximately 12 minutes ), and rest, and visit the restaurants and shops on the boardwalk.

Cozy hotel, friendly staff, quality service

We stayed here for one night after the plumbing issue forced us out of our home. The hotel room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was basic

The staff was very nice. Place is clean but not too clean. I had to ask for housekeeping on third day. Breakfast is continental and not fancy on any level. It’s in a beautiful area tho. Door to my room had openings at bottom and you could see outside. Patio door opened onto shared patio space but patio screen door would not lock, so you couldn’t leave it open. The patio door was old and had one small lock and no safety mechanisms. The blinds over the patio slider were broken too - but the area is lovely and the price was good - so I’d stay again

Ryan the gentleman that checked his end was extremely friendly. I told him that we had a Wyndham reward card but I wasn't sure what the number is and that I'd get it to him by the next day he said he already found it and put it on our stay.

Location was great 5 mins from Redondo beach. Hotel was decent, though it smelled musty, front desk was really polite, breakfast was only cereal and toast. Only issue was we stayed for 4 nights and the room was never cleaned nor the towels were replaced. We had to go and ask for clean towels. Overall stay was decent.

When we got the room, we noticed that there weren't towels supplied, then we asked one of the cleaning crew ladies and we got them right away

Quick 15 min walk to the pier. Very clean, comfortable and spacious room. Fast check in and check out. All staff was friendly. FYI, parking is underground and can be tricky. I can’t wait to stay there again. Thank you everyone.

Room was clean but tub water didn’t get hot till we called for service. Tub drain wouldn’t stay up to drain. Housekeeping knocked on our door even though we had extra time in the room. Continental breakfast could have been better adding bagels since they did have cream cheese.

No elevator. It’s along the highway, you can hear the engines of the vehicles passing.

The bathroom had funky odor. At first we thought we needed to air out the room but that didn't work.

Overall was average. There is a sticker on the mirror stating they will change out towels every three days unless request otherwise. Checked in Sunday and had to go down on Wednesday afternoon to find out why not done. Was told we had to request. Why since that would have been the third day. The hand soap was empty. I’ll call you shortly out a note on it stating so and still had to call the front desk to have them change out. The floor was dirty. Should mop between each visitor. They also turn off the water heater at night. Tried to take a shower in evening and had to call front desk. Hour later water was warm . Tried to take an early morning shower because leaving for airport and again no hot water. I’m pretty sure this is a state violation.

The rooms were next to cars so waking up all morning to cars leaving was not the vacation vibes. Also breakfast was basically toast and jam or peanut butter.

The people are very very kind! The room itself is fine! Our first room was dirty, had a bandaid as a remote back, sand in the beds, stain on the pillows, overall wasn’t very comforting or pleasant first thing walking into the room with our kid and baby knowing they would want to sleep on the beds or touch anything in those conditions. They moved our room and it was better. Overall the walls are thin but it gets the job done, breakfast was a lot smaller than anticipated and our kids were over it after the first day. But again, the staff were so kind.

Huge dog was barking all night in room next door. Couple upstairs were making noise in their room after midnight, talking on the speakerphone on the balcony after 11p, walking on their speakerphone in common areas after 11p. My stay only lasted 1 really jacked up night, I demand my money back and I incur zero charges for not being able to enjoy my sleep I desperately needed.

Our room was adjacent to the office, which closed in the evening but people could come to a window that was five feet from our room. We heard people talking loudly to the clerk at the window until 1:00 am. Also, when the room above us flushed their toilet or took a shower, it sounded like a waterfall coming down inside our wall.

The room was trash already. Chrome coming off the faucets in tub and sink. Seemed like a huge gab at bottom off the door. For any kind of pest to come in the room. Place stunk and was very dirty. I will not stay there again. On top of all this, they kept my $100 deposit. I swear I left the room cleaner than when I arrived. I wouldn’t recommend staying there to anyone. Worst experience I’ve had at a hotel in a very long time.

When we arrived, the host checking us in was short and not the most welcoming. We got into our room and it was made up but there was a 1-inch crack in the front door and the bathroom was not the cleanest. Our first night was okay. The remote to the TV was so worn down and grimy I couldn’t even read some of the buttons. The second night we were not able to sleep due to constant thumping and loud music coming from the room above. We were in room 104 and the room above us seemed to play the same song on loop from 9pm until we finally were able to switch rooms around 6am. We got no sleep that night and when we re-located to a room on the second floor 227, the room was made up but smelled faintly like cigarettes and was stuck to the sheets and pillows. After airing out the room for a day the smell went away but upon calling the front desk to get the bedding changed they denied our request due to lack of housekeepers. The bathroom in 227 was awfully finished and there was mold and paint splatter all over the floor giving it a grimy feeling once again. You can clearly hear anyone walking past your room through the door and the traffic on PCH feels like it’s happening right outside the door as well, although we were in a corner furthest away from the street. Overall felt like a motel where people trickle in and out and you never know what characters your going to run into when in the courtyard. Overall not an enjoyable stay and even less enjoyable place to rest after a long day.
