Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel, as well as the friendly and helpful staff. However, there are frequent complaints about hidden charges, particularly for parking, and issues with room cleanliness and maintenance.

The staff was great. Room walls are VERY VERY thin, neighbors next to me were making lots of noise late at night & early morning (adult things). Hotel is not responsible for these personal things that go on BUT the walls are thin and thankfully my child wasn't with me because they would've heard it from me. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are staying with kids or you need to double check if you have neighbors next to you. Hotel was clean and staff again were great.

Location was great to the venue we were coming from, but a little tedious to get to. No luggage carts available going or coming. Was greeted twice by the same person, as if we were new arrivals and schlepping our luggage because of no carts. We were told we had an "Accessible" room - that room was at the furthest corner of the hotel and from the elevator...I would think that "Accessible" would mean close to elevator!!! Went to what we thought was a cafe, but it was a mediocre room with some food and screaming kids. Finally, we asked the nice girl behind the bar to ask the parents of those screaming girls to shut them up and we noticed people trying to work. The nice girl asked the security guard to talk with the parents and he did, thankfully. Go to our room and it was nice, so, we changed our clothes to go to bed, and found that the hide-a-bed was not adorned with any linens AT ALL...nothing in the closet, drawers, no where to be found. Called front desk and someone came to bring linens, etc. See above

Very good

The amenities are good, toiletries are good. Not even a free water in the room and the AC smells earthy so not a good experience here. Breakfast is good but can take a while due to long line.
- 3/5
Below standards for a Marriott. Shower had hair in it and the shampoo/conditioner bottles were empty.

Loved this hotel going back in august
- 3/5
Breakfast at the breakfast bar was good but expensive. Parking was outrageous. $24/night extra. Be prepared.
- 5/5
I would still recommend the hotel for its excellent staff, delicious breakfast, and convenient parking and accessibility.

Friendly staff, the bar staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable. The coffee machine was dirty, the cup lids had hair on them and had something purple and sticky on them. Very disappointed because I love coffee. I had to buy coffee.

The room and hotel was clean for the most part but there is definitely some noticeable wear and tear in the common areas. The walls are thin, we could hear every cough and sneeze from the person in the room next to us. My biggest complaint though is with the staff interactions. During check in, I stood there and waited for 10 minutes while 3 workers at the front desk avoided eye contact and ignored me as best they could. There were no other customers, just me. They couldn’t even smile and apologize for the wait. The next morning, we asked the front desk about vouchers for breakfast and were snapped at and dismissed. No explanation or alternative, they just said, “you didn’t sign up too bad!” On another day, we called the front desk to ask for towels as we had used ours for the pool. They asked us to leave our dirty towels outside of the door and they would bring us new ones. We waited about an hour and called the front desk back. They said we had to go downstairs to get the new towels. My husband went downstairs and they said they were now out of towels. This place is overpriced for the type of service you get. Do not recommend

Upon arrival the staff were very helpful checking in and helping charge an electric car. The room was very clean and spacious.

Close to Standford I made a reservation thru Booking.com for king executive suite last May 16th. For 3 days leading to the booking, I called daily for early check in but to no avail. On the day of check in , we arrived at 1:30 pm but they said the room is not ready so we said, we will go to our concert event and will check in late that night. The receptionist said as long as it is before midnight and to call which we did. Our event finished at 10:30pm and when we checked in, our executive king suite room was not available anymore. She said it was double booked and the best she can do is a regular king room. I spoke to the receptionist the following day for a credit and she said she will call and follow up with Booking.com but nothing happened. Also the pillow cases had hair from previous occupants.

Place was wonderful even enjoyed breakfast Nothing to say

This hotel was just average, from the staff to the rooms there was nothing notable. I stayed 4 nights, was gone all day & my room was not serviced once. I had to call and ask for more towels and more of their [not very good] coffee. My hotel key was deactivated THREE times in 4 days and I had to go to the desk and have it rekeyed each time. Lastly, and most annoyingly, this property wants you to pay nearly $30 a night for parking. It is not in a city, it’s not in a dense area w little parking, it has its own garage so it makes no sense other than greed to charge. The smoking section is right by the parking garage, there seemed to always be smokers out there and I had to walk through the acrid smell to go from car to hotel. WiFi and cell phone coverage is poor. The good: fridge & microwave in room, comfy beds, lobby has complimentary nice cold spa water(cucumber or lemon), property is clean.
- 4/5
Key card access to parking garage from our floor was turned off more than 30 minutes before checkout time, which was a large inconvenience when we were trying to pack things into our vehicle in the parking area.

It was clean. They did not have enough staff, help took forever to even check in, the keys didn’t work the first time so I had to go back, parking costs were outrageous, the lights didn’t function well, it wasn’t clear where the restaurants etc were, it was way too expensive for what it was. Amenities were sub par. The wash clothes smelled like BO. There were no water fountains.

Hotel was nice, we lost my husband’s cross necklace and they found it and saved it for us. Would stay here again
- 5/5
It looked and felt like a brand new hotel. We slept like a baby. Parking is free. Staff is nice. Their breakfast however is expensive.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and friendly, the room was clean also the swimming pool.
- 5/5
More I loved everything about my stay just hate it my stay was so short
- 2/5
Got a "free breakfast" coupon but got charged for breakfast anyway when using the coupon, Staff and place are nice, but for the price, experience was sloppy
- 5/5
All was great but staff were truly exceptional! A really pleasant stay!
- 5/5
It was beautiful the room of course and ambience
- 4/5
The staff was amazing. The property seems very new, and the facilities are very nice. Our room did not have operable windows, and uses a central ventilation system. As a result, the air was very dry, and the room felt stuffy during our visit. The parkig situation is also pretty weird. You have to get a code when you check-in, and then use a website to register your car and apply the code to get free parking. It works fine, but feels clunky for a Courtyard brand hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room and spacious bathroom with walk in shower!
- 5/5
This hotel is in a great location to easily access the Caltrain to go anywhere around San Francisco. The staff is excellent and very attentive. The property manager Kristin was especially helpful with a couple of questions that we had. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.
- 5/5
We had a great experience with every staff member we interacted with. The food was yummy AND it was open til 10pm! The room was very aesthetically pleasing, and the lighting was awesome as well

Amenities . No water bottles in the room. Charging usd 24 for parking . You have to tell them to get the room cleaned .

I’ve never stayed in a room that hasn’t been done up to near perfection at this fine hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent Hotel with Clean Rooms and Helpful Staff
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet. But especially I would like to point out the outstanding service we got from shabby at the check-in. I’m disabled and there was some question about whether the room that was available would be adequate for me in a wheelchair shabby and whoever she was working with and I didn’t catch her name actually took us up to the room to check it out and by the way, it was excellent it works really well. You had to be proud to have employees like shabby and the other young lady on your staff. It’s so often been a problem for those bus that have mobility issues to actually get accommodated even though as we say that handicap ready. So much of the time they’re not. But my lovely wife and I really enjoyed her stay there and we do make it to Redwood City from time to time and we will indeed stay there next time where we have in need and will recommend this to our friends and family. KUDOS.
- 5/5
I’d move in if I could Does that answer your question?

Room was not as expected. Not much food and no chardonay. Cold a lot of potential but really lacking!

- 3/5
Only two of the lights in the hotel room worked.
- 5/5
The staff were very courteous and proffesional. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was easy.
- 2/5
The lady that checked me in has zero to no personality and was short and rude. I’m assuming the other front desk lady had just got in when I was checking in. But they had a very in depth conversation right in front of me while using profanity. Where is the professionalism. When I get to my room I realize my sheets had what appeared to be either mold or were just dirty. They shared they could only come and change the sheets not move my room because allegedly all the rooms in the hotel were booked. (I found that pretty hard to believe seeing as when the windows to other rooms were open they seemed pretty unoccupied) Anyway they changed my sheets just for them to still have the same either mold or dirt on the sheets and pillowcases. So I paid 4 days to actually sleep on the couch and not the bed. Worse experience in a hotel to this day!

Hellen, the housekeeper that prepared my room went above and beyond. The Courtyard in Redwood City goes unmatched from front desk to dawn.

Everything was perfect about our stay. The new front desk staff was a little slow or needed more training but it was great after the slow check in.

Gave me keys to a room that guests were already staying in. Door from garage stairwell to my room floor didn’t open.
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
They have options for using your own charger but all the outlets have booked closed covers. Very frustrating. Honestly if your going to offer free charging, which is a great benefit, put some kind of access pass on them so only hotel guests with a room key can use them. Either way, get those broken chargers fixed ASAP. No excuse for broken equipment.
- 4/5
Room is clean. Breakfast in below industrial average!
- 3/5
The woman who checked us in was cold and unhelpful. Serve defiantly unfriendly… The security guard who helped advises on Parking was very nice.
- 5/5
Everything was absolutely amazing as always!
- 5/5
Clean room. Access to a great walking trail
- 5/5
The hotel is new and clean. I was unaware that it cost $22 to park each night. I never choose hotels where you have to pay the park. I’m already paying to sleep there. Check in process is a little too long and only one person it should’ve been quicker as I had completed the pre-check in.
- 4/5
Except for our room keys not working it was great
- 5/5
Very good
- 3/5
Construction right next to my room.
- 5/5
Off weekend so large room was only $125 with my Expedia discount. Beds were very high quality. We have stayed in $400 rooms that weren't as nice. For a hotel on the freeway in a commercial area it was close to an event we attended. Great value.
- 5/5
Love it

Upon arrival, the parking garage was undergoing reconstruction and renovations in the elevator. Got to the check in area, waited for a good 10-15 minutes. Got to my room to check every thing. Bathroom was clean, the bed was made, the patio door lock is broken, then the outside patio there was a wine glass emptied and a corona 16oz can left on the floor, as if my room was used as a chill break time kind of ordeal. Then when I went out to get essentials. I came back to find a few ants on the couch, ottoman has a weird looking stain on it, which grossed me out, the mini dining table that was placed in the room, and on my bed. I was ready for a shower, I let the water run to give a few minutes to let the warm water to run. It was Luke warm the max. I obviously did not feel comfortable, relax nor safe. I had to rearrange the room to make myself feel safe and comfortable. Literally a heavy man made couch to the patio door as the door won’t lock. I have contacted guest services at 4:10am as I was there for a business stay and an early shift.
- 5/5
Not too busy - very relaxing!
- 1/5
Unfortunately this hotel was partially under construction and a lot of staffing issues. From the minute we checked in we had issues. Key cards couldn’t be issued when we arrived at midnight after travel delays. Security brought us to our rooms with a temp card for electricity. Once we got real cards we had many issues with the doors. Service was either great or awful. No middle ground. The pool was open but taken over by a soccer tournament of children making it unusable. Gym finally opened our last day. Rooms seemed new and clean. Really poor housekeeping. Either didn’t come or came and only did a few things. Communication issues and gaslighting. I think they said their GM quit and it shows.
- 4/5
The rooms were spotless, the only part that was dirty were the hallway carpets.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Very nice and stylish lobby. The room is nicely decorated and beds are comfortable. The only draw back was that the bistro has a long line and only one person at the counter to serve drinks and also be the cashier. We gave up after waited 10 minutes and still no progress.
- 5/5
Nice place the staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Comfortable bed staff are nice
- 4/5
Friendly staff especially check in staff. Convenient location. Rooms comfortable & clean.
- 5/5
My wife and I have stayed here in the past and we always return, it's a quiet area, staff are nice and the check in and out out process has always been quick and easy.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our brief stay. The lobby was very spacious and offered many sitting areas. The restaurant was also very convenient and the waiter was very caring and accommodating.
- 3/5
I stayed on room 451,the bed was lumpy, and the rooms do not have safes. This room faces a body of water, thet is along a trails Which i would have walked along the path if their wasn't several tents of unhoused people their. I was forced to park my car on the second floor which was very eary and i felt unsafe. This situation is not safe for women who are alone.
- 5/5
I loved the check in staff, so kind and efficient!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Enjoyed staying here.
- 5/5
Very satisfied
- 5/5
I really like that the room was smelling like spray performed or the spray other merriot hotels smelled like. Also, was a very relaxed environment
- 3/5
There was no room available until past 4:15 pm. The check in is at 3pm. We waited for over an hour to get a room because no room was available as it is still being cleaned.
- 5/5
Excellent. Tiffany is great!
- 5/5
Fantastic property, excellent service and rooms have everything you can ask for.

We had a great experience
- 5/5
Front deck super nice, made me feel like was at home. Super clean and easy to find parking lot
- 5/5
Very nice place , loved that there is a bistro and Starbucks in the lobby
- 5/5
This is a great hotel and the front desk staff were excellent.
- 3/5
All went well but we lost an item and they haven't called me back
- 2/5
I stayed for 4 days (I checked out a day earlier than booked). I did not like the water would get out the shower and wet the bathroom floor. It made walking in the bathroom dangerous. No mat was provided in the bathroom. Also, what I had booked online was changed. Why would they ask me if I would still like what I had booked originally and end up giving me something worse for the same price?
- 5/5
Awesome stat right near the highway for us to get around the surrounding area. Beds and rooms were excellent and the staff was very accommodating. Would stay here next time I visit.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Close to downtown area.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Good hotel been getting this hotel for the past 3 years and good services
- 5/5
This was a last minute booking for our family of 5 consisting of 2 teenagers and a 6 year old with mom and dad. They gave us a room with 2 queen sized beds. Spacious enough to have a small sofa should one of the boys not have wanted to share the bed with his brother. It was clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. We always stay here when we don't want to drive the 2 hours home.

- 5/5
Walkable path surrounding the hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 2/5
The front entrance is a circular driveway that is under some part of the hotel structure. It was dark, even though it was mid day, unlit, and uninviting. The room was spartan. Very clean but nothing in the way of amenities. Kleenex in the bathroom only. I had to hunt for the refrigerator (in what turned out ri be a closet next to the window that looked like it was just part of the wall. There was nothing in the room or at check in about wifi use. There was nothing but basic channels on the tv. No HBO and no streaming apps. Things like there being nothing at all in the anteroom by the elevators, such as a small table with fake flowers. Everything was very clean but unattractive and sterile. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels around the US and Europe. This is an ok place to stay but it gave me the creeps.
- 5/5
I have previously stayed here and it’s my 2dt option when I’m in the area
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here multiple times. Always clean. Staff is always professional. We always sleep well. That’s the most important part.
- 4/5
The rooms are very nice and comfortable with a very comfortable chair-and-a-half with ottoman in addition to a desk and comfortable desk chair. Sizeable bathroom. A lovely lobby area was uncomfortable due to a cold temperature. I wore my coat to eat a light dinner at the Bistro. Not fond of having to pay $22 for parking.
- 5/5
It was clean, quiet, convenient, pleasant, and reasonably priced.
- 1/5
We didn't stay because I had a health issue and they wouldn't give me a refund. I lost $1200.00. Hotels.com should be considerate with the hotel we chose.

Great location for the Stanford Treeathlon. If you have a car it doesn’t take long to get to Main Street area with lots of dining options
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
Bad customer service upon arrival. Also, I was not aware parking was not free so we had to pay for it at desk. If we knew there would be a parking fee we would have looked for a different hotel.
- 5/5
The property was nicer than expected. The in-house food options were great. The room was nice. The bathroom had some damage in the bathtub that was not totally repaired but was otherwise ok. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything, but the early check-in and excellent customer service at the front desk keeps me coming back!
- 5/5
great place to stay at!!!

Nice hotel. Pool was cold but nice clean rooms.

- 5/5
Wonderful experience.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this hotel several times and everything has been excellent. The only bad thing is that I had a bad experience. They charged us on two different cards and they were unable to resolve anything for us. I called several times and the person who answered cut off my calls.
- 5/5
Clean, minimalist rooms. Pleasant and accommodating staff, both desk staff and housekeeping. Aesthetically beautiful lobby.
- 5/5
Their was homeless people and clothes strung across the back of the property and made you feel unsafe when out for a walk
- 5/5
The staff was so helpful and accomodating!
- 5/5
Clean property, clean room, very kind staff. It was a very pleasant stay.
- 4/5
4th floor, clean ,comfortable, quiet room. Ants in the bathroom. Air conditioning/heating worked well. Room lights only work if you leave the room key card in a slot by the door. Parking in the garage costs $20 per day. No complimentary breakfast or drinks etc.. Not much in the immediate area around the hotel.
- 5/5
excellent
- 5/5
The property is convenient to our family’s home so we don’t need to drive back to Santa Rosa after Thanksgiving dinner. The rooms are lovely and the bed comfortable.
- 1/5
They never gave me my room they said the itinerary # was too long so they didn’t want to help me.
- 5/5
Great service
- 4/5
Convenience of property for my purposes
- 2/5
No stores nearby because its by the freeway Staff is not accomodating. Firm with their rules!!
- 3/5
As with all ADA rooms there are liberal interpretations of what is ADA versus common sense with ADA guidance. The transition between room and bathroom was too high for the wheeilchair user to navigate and needed robe pushed over it each time. The roll in shower was a dream until we realized the water didn’t drain in the drains and dispersed ALL over the bathroom, from wall to wall. This was from a less than 10 minute use. Good thing to was easy to get extra towels as the floor was extremely slippery once damp.
- 5/5
I liked how quiet it was and how nice the hotel room was! I would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Nice if more than one water bottle was offered
- 5/5
Rooms are comfortable with a modern layout. Nice clean bathrooms. Room also has a mini fridge. Will stay here again.
- 2/5
This hotel is not really up to Marriott standards and ridiculously expensive for what you get. Check-in was okay, but I had a two night stay, and never got any maid service. (That's the reason for the very low cleanliness star rating.) Flashing light from a smoke detector right over the bed was super irritating and made sleep difficult. It would have been nice to use the pool more, but on second night a bunch of teens were canon-ball style jumping into it and creating all kinds of noise. Staff in the bistro were friendly and food was okay there, but the menu options are pretty limited, and there are no other restaurants (or any other conveniences) in the immediate neighborhood. Walls are thin and could hear people in room next to mine. Double-paned windows keep out most but not all of the freeway and street/garage noise. And they charge you a hefty $20 a day for parking! On check-out was not even asked "how was your stay." Would definitely not go back to this hotel.
- 3/5
Also, the cafe/bistro tables were dirty when we had breakfast the first morning, even though there were very few patrons. The 2nd morning, they were short staffed and the woman who stepped in was unfriendly, unaware of what was going on around her. We waited in line 20 minutes or more. I was very disappointed tbis stay. The rooms and hotel itself were still nice and clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
Love it all!
- 2/5
Diffident staff--Incomplete parking garage with limited access to the the hotel (ground floor only). Isolated location--no room clock or bottled water--
- 5/5
Close to hospital I was working at.
- 3/5
Close to events we went to see.
- 5/5
Accessible area and clean neighborhood
- 5/5
Great service, clean place
- 4/5
Best price for the quality of room we found. Having to pay for parking at a hotel is always a bummer & the attitude that one of the female staff members has in the morning comes off as disrespectful. Other than that our stay was good.
- 5/5
Very comfortable stay and friendly staff
- 5/5
Amazing stay wonderful, quiet comfortable
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay very comfortable
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very kind, professional, hospitable, and sweet. She definitely made our stay warmer. Thank you Marriott!
- 5/5
Very nice quiet place
- 2/5
The room was not very clean there was red sticky stuff all over the bathroom. The air did not seem to be working at the temperature that the thermostat said it was. The lady upon check in was very rude and didn't tell me she was going to charge my card $40 in case something went wrong. She told me she was just taking the card to have on file. Overall I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
The women at the front desk was not friendly at all she made me feel like a bother. The women who helps out at take out is absolutely wonderful wish she helped me with check in
