Parking was not included as stated on Expedia but otherwise was fine for a quick stay. Pool was full of kids, wet foot prints in the halls. Breakfast was good buffet style. Staff was nice and helpful

This property while it was not brand new very clean the bed was very comfortable and the staff was amazing. And the breakfast was really good.

It was all excellent, but the highlights for my family were the friendly staff and the clean, well-maintained and well appointed exercise room.

Good staff, room had a funny odor to it, food for breakfast was not good at all, facility over all has a run down look to it, room layout is cramped and inefficient, air conditioning unit is noisy and positioned right next to the bed. Just overall you get what you pay for. If you can squeeze another $25 or $50 a day out of your budget, do it. We won’t be back.

The hotel was nice enough but there were quite a few ants and other bugs in our room. Lots of hairs and dirt and the beds were at an angle and not very comfortable. The breakfast was decent.

Shuttle pickup was a joke. Called at 2:51 pm the lady said the airport pickup would be at 3:30. Called at 3:35 and the guy said the driver didn’t know about us and was doing a hospital pickup and would be about 45 minutes. Got picked up at 4:29 so about 1:38 total sitting in cold waiting for pickup at airport. Told two different employees at property and they did nothing. Nice property but out on an island and a mile walk to any stores or restaurants. :(

Everything was great except the sinks. Sinks did not drain well.

The toilet in my room didn't have a lid on it. I don't know what has happened since my last stay at this place, but even the supervisor wasn't able to tell me. I wonder if it might have been the fact that they gave me a handicapped room even though I didn't request one. Also, I should have gotten a discount, but since I booked the room through Hotels.com, they couldn't make any adjustments to the rate or the room itself. Overall my stay was much less enjoyable than it has ever been in the past. I'm going to have to think really hard before ever booking here again.

We enjoyed the layout of the room it fit 5 of us(2 adults, three kids) comfortably and we had a super early flight and rushed out and the staff was helpful and allowed us to check out over the phone.

Exceedingly helpful staff, including the shuttle drivers. Well renovated at least 1st floor. Oonly missing is a restaurant in or near the hotel..

The price point for this hotel was good. They have a free shuttle that runs from the hotel. The ride is fairly short. It runs roughly every hour. We just barely missed it and had to wait one hour for the next one. Not a big deal. Our room was spacious and equipped quite well. It had both a microwave and a small refrigerator. The blackout curtains worked well. Breakfast in the morning was pretty darn good. Lots of seating options in the breakfast area. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Upon arrival for check in we were told the room type we had booked was unavailable and given no explanation as to why. We had to spend our first night in a room with one less bed than needed until “the room type was available.” This was not a last minute booking; we had made this reservation 4 weeks in advance.

Well maintained property with great location for the airport and getting to downtown. Staff were extremely helpful and room was great.

Very pleased with quality of bed, well maintained property, and great breakfast. The free airport shuttle service was lacking. It took over 30 minutes to pick us up. We also had to wait 30 minutes from our scheduled pickup time to go back to airport.

We have never been treated as well as what we were on this trip. My husband had had a procedure the day of check in and we got out early. Went to the hotel to confirm everything and they immediately checked us in at 11 in the morning!!!!! Never have we had such royal treatment with such kindness. No questions or saying sorry check in isn't until 4 they just treated us with so much respect. The room was phenomenal and our entire stay was treated the same as the first day we checked in. Will stay here anytime we are in Seattle. HUGE kudos to the entire staff!!!!

Definitely recommend this place

Excellent staff and stay. Appreciated first-floor accommodations for my parents, both with mobility issues and the 0-entry shower. Pool was open and a bit cold, except on days where outside sun and temp was above 75. Ideal breakfast scenario with made-fresh hot and cold options with name brand products, e.g. Jimmy Dean, Yoplait, etc. all-day coffee and water bar available in the lobby with large-screen TVs for watching sports games. Highly recommend.

This hotel was great! I really enjoyed my stay here. Pillows and beds were very comfortable.

The room set up was great and perfect for our night out. The hotel itself - no issues. But our check in was terrible, we waited more than half an hour to get up to the check in desk and the gal behind the desk was not personable at all. Terrible customer service. A second lady came in to help her and she was much nicer.

I stayed for four nights and overall it was a very nice stay. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel very clean. Staff was professional and friendly. Exercise room was great, but the pool was pretty small… Good for children but maybe not so much for adults. Breakfast seemed better than average for hotels in this price range. Airport shuttle only picks up once every hour, so can be a long wait. As mentioned in other reviews, there's no convenient restaurants around the hotel unless you have a car. I would stay here again.

Room were pretty clean, staff werenice, breakfast had a good variety. The issue i had was the soap options. Everything was lavender scented, when I asked if they had anything non lavender scented because I am alergic they said they did not and I would need to go buy my own.

My only advice to travelers is if you don’t have a rental car then be prepared to order delivery because the closest lunch and dinner are more than a 30 minute walk.

Cons: The morning clerk was VERY are to understand. I had to give up understanding after having her repeat herself. The keys cards de magnetis SO easily. I had to go have new keys made 3 different times in a 2 day stay. It was very annoying and since i of course was at the very end of the hall, it was exhausting. I made 2 trips to the front desk about my remote. The orange juice at breakfast was EXTREMELY watery. I dont know if the mix was running out or if its always like that. Overall a nice stay, at a nice property.

Had a remarkably good stay for the price. The room was spacious. The matress was very comfortable and the pillows were the best we had had on our trip. Water was hot and stayed at a steady temperature, water pressure was good. Breakfast was better than expected, hot food, good selection of breads, hard boiled eggs, etc. It was short on fruit (just small red delicious apples) and the yogurt was mediocre. Shuttle service was convenient, though it takes longer than the actual airport hotels. Front desk personnel varied widely in friendliness and willingness to provide serive. The good ones were great, the bad ones were awful. The shuttle bus is not well marked and we missed our pickup the first night. No wake up call available.

Shower was stained and filthy, breakfast caused us to be sick and the photos of the pool area are deceptive. It shows a spa but there isn't one and the pool itself was filled with dead bugs and stained. Plus having to pay $10 a night for parking is criminal sice they won't even protect from theft.Not coming back

We didn't like paying for parking. Hotels should provide it for their guests.

But as I was toasting my bread this staff member came in and just shut down the juice machine which was what I was right about to get. Then she put away all the utensils before I could get what I needed. Another guy who came in right after that was complaining and making excuses to get food past the time. I understand her not letting him get anything but in the middle of me getting food to not even say anything or ask me if I needed anything just started to put everything away as fast as humanly possible. I work under strict schedules at my job as well but if a customer was actively engaged in something I would at the bare minimum knowledge them and personally I would ask if there was anything I was putting away was anything needed. Otherwise, pretty good place. I soaked a hand towel in hot water and hung it in the thermostat and that solved the ac issue.

Our stay at this hotel was lovely. The breakfast was everything we needed. It had a nice variety. I appreciated the fitness center. It was clean. The evening staff (Sienna) went above and beyond for coordinating rides. Our drivers were also wonderful. We cannot say enough good things about the transportation and front desk working with us. My only complaint would be that I had a pretty snarky front desk lady that was kind of rude at one point. The rest of the staff was great and helpful.

We have stayed here many times and have always had a positive experience. Our last stay was in a room with a broken window sill and outside air was coming in the whole time. It was not uncomfortable and an exception to our previous stays

The first day that we got to our rooms, it was dirty the bathroom and a section near the bed and couch. It did not look like it had been cleaned. The sheets on one of the beds was not the right size for the bed so when we slept on it the first night the bed linen came off. The pool was pretty small so my kids didn’t end up going in the pool because there was too many kids in a small pool.

Parking was a problem. We could not find a spot. We were told that folks flying out of the Seattle airport were taking up parking spaces. I would hope that there would be dedicated spaces and posted sighs to indicate a reserved status for Veterans. I was staying at this wonderful hotel complements of the Veterans Administration (VA) for medical appointments at the Seattle VA on 12 Apr 26. My understanding is that parking spaces are included in the reservations for veterans traveling a long way to make their medical appointments at the Seattle VA. Use this as a nice getaway for my daughter and grandson to spend some time at the pool. It was very appropriate. Everybody was super nice.

When we got there we were told that there was a $10 a day payment for parking. this was not a problem but we also had to put a Card on file. the lady told us that for our three day stay the parking would come out of that. When we left we got a call saying that they needed a card over the phone and that they did not have a card on file. although I had a $100 pending on my account from my card, for the hold. something just don't add up

This hotel met our needs for our brief stay. The rooms are spacious and have been tastefully updated. The pool was a hit with our kids - a bit small, but they loved it! The free breakfast had the usual offerings except fruit. Fruit would be a nice addition. We would stay again if we were in the area.

They ran out of breakfast at 9am on a Sunday when they advertise breakfast until 10am. I understand people don't show up for work, so it's not the employees fault. Corporate needs to ensure that if they advertise the service, that they have steps in place to provide the service well. Otherwise, don't bother. It's ok, we can handle it. But I live locally & I treated myself with a little staycation weekend to your lovely hotel, and I chose Sonesta Select because "breakfast is included" to relieve me of that chore for the weekend, getting up and cooking breakfast, so I can relax & this negated that hoped for convenience. Going down at 9am for a 'closes at 10am' breakfast is not over the top to be complaining. I went back up & came back at 9:40am and finally asked if more food would be provided? And was told "no", that there's no more food for a "full house" of people. Ok, but didn’t anyone check the weekend bookings and then cross-check that with breakfast inventory? Couldnt a manager look up how full they are and then ask someone to count the inventory and make a list of what's low?

Beds were amazingly comfy. Breakfast was refreshed with great selection of hot and cold items. Staff was friendly!

This hotel charges $10 plus tax for parking, however, this hotel is located far outside of suburban of Seattle, which parking spaces are abundant, and when booking via Hotels.com, you have to click on the fee tab and see a small print. They should have disclose parking fee on the hotel overview page. We stayed for 2 nights, first night no complaint, breakfast in the small dining hall, limited breakfast choices and no fruit provided. On the second night we returned tonthe hotel around 9pm, they key did not work, came down to front desk to exhange the key, then new key did not work, walked down again, then staff said keylock must be out of battery, staff had to call in locksmith, they provided us a room next door so we could stay while they fixing the lock, what kind of hotel waited till the lock battery to be completely dead to start changing the battery, battery does not deplete completely overnight, at first they said approximately 30 min job, we waited till 11:30pm tirelessly in our dirty clothes. When we able to come to our room, the room was never made, used towels on the floor, what kind of 3 star hotel that does not provide daily housekeeping service. On the checkout day, which was Saturday morning, there were long line of guests waiting to get food in the small dining hall at 8:30am, however, hotel only had 1 staff serving, which worsen situation. Hotel provide one small container for one type of milk, and serving staff said out of milk.

Let’s start with the good: A fantastic location right off the freeway and ten minutes from the airport. Good sized rooms, great for families with pull out trundle beds. Many choices for breakfast options with staff that keeps it clean and stocked fresh. Now why didn’t I like this property? Upon check in around 5pm, the front desk staff barely spoke and did not give us any details such as breakfast times or even where breakfast would be! It was simply “what card are you using? Here you go.”… once we got to our room after a long day of driving, I went to take a shower and immediately noticed the lack of proper cleaning… there was mold in the shower, yellow stains on the bathroom floor, once I turned the shower on bugs went running, and the shampoo pump was broken… the next day, down to the pool we went! Talk about cold! And the amount of scum on the side you could write your name in! Will we stay here again? It’s possible, but I’d be packing our own cleaning supplies to do a deep clean first.

Basic hotel, not much to rave about, everything was decent nothing to stand out.

The photos of the property showed that there is a hot tub and upon arrival there was no hot tub. Also the pool was visibly dirty, unfortunately, so we did not swim, which was disappointing. We did however enjoy the hot breakfast and the staff were very friendly and hospitable.

Was an awesome experience

It was just an ok experience. I have stayed better and worse. It was decent for the price but not great. There were a lot of little things that weren’t great. Like the shower leaking and the drain was clogged. Weird smells in the blow dryer and the microwave smelled like smoke when I used it to heat up tea for less than a minute. The elevator was out for a while and they closed off parking at night so I had to drive around the building which didn’t feel safe walking around as a group of women after dark.

Super relaxing and very convenient

My family stayed at this hotel, we checked in changed my son left a charger and my Apple Watch charging. The door to our room was not working so we let the front desk know and left. When we came back my Apple Watch was missing along with my charger. We told the front desk and they said they would check with the staff and review the cameras. They never contacted us over what happened to my belongings. I’ve called and no answer. Overall very bad service.

The room was fine, it was the neighbors that were obnoxious. I highly don't recommend you putting 2 people next to each other at 217. I have stayed there before but never had adjoining rooms. So loud, no noise filter. I was woken up all night, and I only stay for business. I could hear their dog, the toilet flushing, their tv and quite a few other things all night long. If I choose to stay there again, I will not allow adjoing room options. Other than that the staff is amazing. Appreciate them.

Quick, easy, clean, everything was working fine.

The staff couldn't decide if the pool was operational or not. Front desk gave us towels and allowed us access at about 5pm the night of our stay. After ten minutes maintenance chased us out, told us the sign must've fallen off the door, that the pool has been closed for a long time, the water might make us sick he didn't know anything about it, just that it needs to remain closed until they hire someone. By the following morning at breakfast time, the sign had been removed and other guests were using to pool. It was weird, ruined our family's night. I can't tell you how frustrating it was to explain to our young children. Definitely will be staying elsewhere next trip overall.. lots of hidden fees at check in made this hotel just as expensive as it's much nicer counterparts. A parking fee for overnight stays? In an unsecure parking lot? Come on, sonesta. You're not Seattle.

Comfort and breakfast.

Room was large and provided a lot of value for the nightly rate. Breakfast buffet was solid with good options (sausage, eggs, cereal, bread, bagels, oatmeal, juice, waffle maker, toppings for everything) and good hours. It was very conveniently located to a lot of things to do. Only like a 10-15 minute drive from the Showare center where we went to watch a Tacoma Stars game. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only reason it isnt a 5-star rating is they closed down the pool for 24 hours which was a large reason we booked with them. My son was very disappointed, but did get to swim a bit when it was open.

I enjoyed the stay and the room. However, we were never told about the fee for parking. We are disabled and used the disabled parking space. After we arrived home, we were only paid 66.00 back on our 100. deposit. I called to find out why and they said it was due to parking fees. Crazy I have never been charged for parking, and We were never told about a fee. Is this legal?

Friendly staff at front desk; especially grant me late check out due to my daughter needs more sleep.

Food was OK only pork for sausage but it wasn't bad

The facility was great. My complaints are with the staff, they were not friendly or welcoming at all and when I asked for some clean towels on day 3, I was told if they had time. They never did bring them. I definitely left feeling like I had been underserved.

Check-in was a bit chaotic. No one seemed to know what was going on, the kid that was at the front counter was very unprofessional. We had our luggage held for us and he didn’t even assist us in getting it to our room, he just stood in the doorway texting.. we asked him to schedule his schedule for us. And in the morning, they had no shuttle for us saying that he never did it...

It was originally written that breakfast was included and parking, but then they took the $38 money off the card and said it was for parking and breakfast, considering that we didn't have breakfast on the second day. But it says free breakfast when I booked.

Great place and very clean. Watch out I booked and didn’t realize there is a resort fee of $17.99. Not sure if quite consider this a resort but it is a very nice hotel. Had I know about the resort fee I would have considered other options at a better price.

Room was clean, breakfast was good and accessible. The pool area could do with an upgrade, but it was good enough as we were the only visitors there. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the smell of cigarettes in the hallways. There was no smell in the rooms, so it was a temporary annoyance - but very noticeable. Location was perfect for day trips to Tacoma and Seattle.

Furniture was filthy. There was a hole in the tub that they covered with tape. Oh, btw. I was messaged about this about a week before I was supposed to stay, but they also charge a $17.99 resort fee per night. Supposed to include their crappy wi-fi, pool, and breakfast (which is nothing spectacular). This stuff used to just be included with the base rate.

The gentlmen checking us in did a great job handling the party bus people, and was able to still give us a quiet room

I stayed on the night they were switching over to a new hotel name. So, it was a bit muddled and everything was being done by hand. It was a bit of a wait, but the staff was friendly and helpful and apologetic.

Also, just FYI the shuttle isn’t available 24hr as advertised on their own wall sign but actually starts at 7am. When I called the hotel, I was placed on hold for 10-15 minutes. This happened not once but twice The carpet on the 5th floor looks old dirty and disgusting. And the ice machine was also broken. The only positive was that the room was very spacious and clean. Now I know why this place is so cheap.

The hotel offered shuttle service so it made it convenient to get around and they have parking that’s included in the “resort fee” also offer continental breakfast.

What a disappointment from check in to check out. Front desk staff is un friendly and makes it seem like you’re bothering them. Upon getting into the room we needed toiletries and the response was come and get them we don’t have time to bring them to you. From there it just got worse. I’ve never been in such a foul and disgusting room where most of us didn’t even shower or open their suitcase. The shower had several duct tape patches, covered in pink and black soap scum, drain plug was broken, and the best part was the hair left behind. The curtains had dead bugs on them and red stains. Couch had several white stains as well. Overall if we would’ve had time to switch hotels before our event we most definitely would’ve. Honestly we shouldn’t have had to pay for the room. I hope others leave their honest review to help other customers save their money and stay somewhere else.

However, during our four-night stay, housekeeping service was lacking. Our room was never refreshed, and I had to place our garbage outside the door to have it emptied. We also had to visit the front desk ourselves for fresh towels and toilet paper. The pool was uncomfortably cold and had a greenish appearance, which made it uninviting. Customer service was lacking, during our stay, not a single staff never said "hi" to us once coming or going. Sunday morning the staff member support the breakfast area snapped at me. I tried to get her attention and she said to me "What do you want?" and when I asked her for plates she said "I'll get to when I get to it" then came out and slammed them on the counter next to my husband and I. Overall it was "Okay".

Asked to have the sheets changed while we were out for the day at 8am, to be told that was not possible for some reason. Also, walked in to a Cheeto on the floor, so hard to believe the room was cleaned well.

When you stay at Sonesta its like staying at your second home. The staff is always friendly and helpful, its clean and safe. The property is well maintained and our service dog was very welcomed. The breakfast is very good and my daughter loved the oatmeal and fixings. We stay here for our Dr's appointments and my ivs since we live so far away.. its quiet and comfortable. I will not stay anywhere else. Thank you

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included as part of the unavoidable resort fee, which was somewhat hidden on the Hotels.com website in the fine print. It included the usual foods - adequate but nothing to rave about. Room was good, bed was good. The side of the bed with the clock only has an electric outlet directly underneath the shelf holding the clock - virtually unusable. The other side has one built in by the phone. This was fine traveling solo, but would have been a real aggravation had my spouse been traveling with me because we both use CPAP machines at night. Hope Sonesta will consider changing this. I'm sure we're not the only ones who want to plug things in on both sides of the bed.

quiet and clean

Everything was fine. Breakfast was great. Room was clean. It was quiet and we were right next to the elevator. Wet convenient to the airport and the rental car complex. Several places to eat in the immediate vicinity as well.

Hotel is very clean, easy to get to and in a very quiet location. No dining options immediately by the hotel, but there are options not far. Staff was friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good. Indoor pool was nice, a bit cold, but the kids still enjoyed it! Had a very nice stay!

The room was fine, however I did not like the fact they charge a “resort fee” to cover the cost of breakfast, parking, and airport shuttle. Just build the cost into your room rate.

Want to express our sincere appreciation for accommodating our request for a top floor room. Having no one walking on our ceiling helped make this stay stress free & relaxing. Also loved the layout of the room. Thank you so much for making our stay a pleasant one.

Only complaint is the smell of weed in the hallways. They make it pretty clear to everyone, signage all over. Unfortunate the crowd there can’t just step outside to light up.

The location was great. The room was excellent, large and clean. My only complaint would be that the wifi was horrible, extremely slow. Because I was on a business trip, had I known this beforehand I would have stayed somewhere else.

It was above average but could be better.

Nice modern rooms, coupled with free parking, and even a continental breakfast made it a great stay. But two things made it a five star review. One is they have TVs that you can connect your Netflix account to, which I love because I hate regular commercial TV when I’m trying to relax, and two I left something in the room and the staff was very accommodating in getting me my item, which is very much appreciated.

Everyone should be aware of a hidden $17.99 fee deducted from the initial deposit. The front desk did not inform me about this, and I would not return to this place.

Our room smelled musty. The bolt on the door didnt work, they dont clean your room. But the room was a nice size. Decent for the money.

It was nice, and the hotel room itself was massive. I liked the parking and the fact the hotel was semi secluded but not a far drive from food. I didnt like the fact there was no hot tub though, and there was a stain on the sheets.

Booked this place because it was inexpensive and had many reviews applauding its cleanliness. This was not the case. The first room we were given keys to had not been turned over yet. We were issued new keys. It was obvious the room had not been properly cleaned, and all that was done was the linens and towels changed (I hope). The bathroom sink had toothpaste in it, the couch was stained all over, the walls had brown sludge dripping down, toilet dirty, etc etc etc. There are plenty of hotels in the area. Please avoid this one.

The room was huge and in great shape. Very comfortable bed. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

I would have given it five stars, but the shuttle service was a 30 minute wait each time.

The front desk and shuttle service weee excellent. Free hearty breakfast, free airport shuttle, little gym and little pool. This was an excellent choice for our short stay in the Seattle area. Avi, the front desk supervisor was especially friendly and helpful

Nice quiet area

It was conveniently located near the heart of seattle and the airport. The staff was very polite and accommodating which was greatly appreciated.

We were happy to be there with free food for breakfast and great service, however once we got into our room, we discovered severe itching and witnessed little red bite marks from seeing flees. We reported this to the hotel. They were apologizing and had told us they were going to treat the room and not show anyone else stay there until it was thoroughly cleaned.

Nice hotel and close enough to the airport. It was a bit difficult to navigate the area but it was within 15 minutes of the airport and light rail station. Beds were comfortable and the couch worked great for a sleeping teen. Breakfast was good on the way out the door!

We had dinner in the outside patio. The food was good and flowers were great. You just can't getaway from that road noise.

Our tv didn’t work, there weren’t enough blankets for the amount of beds and were told they didn’t have any extras only sheets. The people above us were so incredibly loud like a stampede all night and early in the morning.

Low quality toiletries Front desk was not very friendly. At 10 pm we heard dogs barking for long time and people fighting loudly in the room’s lobby.

Clean updated/newer property. Nice spacious and practical rooms. Fair price point. Would definitely stay here again if in the area and alo recommend.

Drive an extra 10 minutes away from the mall and you have a safe, quiet and affordable option that is centrally located. The staff and outside were quite nice but our room was definitely in need of some paint and TLC. The room hotel is no smoking but had a lingering scent of smoke and the pillows definitely need some more filling. That being said, it was a pretty good option for an affordable stay

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times before and they are wonderful. But this time they had a lot of kids staying at the hotel. These kids ran around all night on the upper floors. I was very disappointed in lack of security or even supervision. I don’t know if I’ll go back next time I’m in town.
