Nice property.
- 5/5
The property is under construction but it's still really maintained. I did want breakfast but that didn't start until 6 and I left at 530
- 4/5
One of the pillows had a very bad smell (like old stinker sneakers). I had to put it in the bathroom so I could sleep No bottled water in the room for the coffee maker
- 2/5
Fairly close to family. The bed was comfortable. The floor was hot as soon as we walked off the elevator. The room had an unpleasant smell upon entering. The humidity level was higher than normal. The toilet seat was really low for someone tall or of senior age.
- 5/5
One night stay- good location and reasonable price. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Wished you used regular plates/silverware rather than disposable items.
- 2/5
The breakfast area was kept very clean and stocked. The staff was really nice. Emma at the front desk was very accommodating since our rooms needed to be changed because the request didn’t go through from Expedia to have adjoining rooms. They are in the process of remodeling so there is some understanding of the cleanliness. However, if you are going to put guests in a room, it should not have debris in the bathroom. A couple of the usb ports did not work.

Staff service excellent. Thank you. Another run down Hampton compared to similar hotels. We stay in Hamptons all over the US travelling from the UK. Think we are done now with the quality.

Pool was a murky green/yellow, hot tub was neon yellow-green and was closed. Room was stuffy and the AC unit would only run for about 1 minute at a time. Pool, hot tub, AC.

We love Hampton Inns but this one needs a makeover soon, carpeting in lobby needs changing, all the chairs need replacing in lobby breakfast area. Elevators were dirty, room was fine, breakfast was good, people who worked there were very nice. Ppl who clean the rooms were so nice and helpful. Basically the place needs renovations, it’s an older Hampton Inn.

Renovation taking place all around our room. Made a mess in hallways and excess dust everywhere. Otherwise it was good.

Clean simple room for overnight stay. Appreciated the available amenities but didn’t need them on this stay.

My stay at the Hampton Inn in Rockford, IL was simply fantastic. The property was clean and very appealing. All members of the staff that I had contact with were very pleasant in dealing with me. My room was clean, well decorated and all lights and appliances were in perfect working order. This was a great place to stay and was worth the price.

The room was pieced together. It looked like they purchased chair lamp etc from a garage sale. Very run down. We always stayed at a Hilton, because it was predicable, not anymore. Can't trust what we'll fine. We have started staying at a new chain.

This hotel is just fine, very accommodating and welcoming. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars, is that the pool and hot tub were unavailable because of a broken pump, which was part of the reason we stayed here…and most of the entry doors were broken or malfunctioning, so there were no side entries available. Other than that, it’s a good hotel. Breakfast is good and I love the noon check out time. A few fixes and this place will be great!!
- 5/5
I stayed here on my travels to a conference. I booked it again on my way back! If I am ever in the area, I will definitely book here again!!!

Bad channel selection. Worst I've ever experienced in a hotel. Alarm went off. Doors wouldn't lock.
- 0.5/5
The online site said there was a pool. When we arrived the pool closed for maintenance which was the only reason we booked it (kids) . We cancelled the booking and didn't stay. The hotel did agree to refund the room.
- 2.5/5
Room was nice Hot tub was broken The condition bottle was empty The door did not close unless you gave it a good push and then it made a loud noise The phone did not work
- 5/5
Good place

Desk clerks were very nice!
- 5/5
To start off the atmosphere as you walk into the hotel, I noticed the cleanliness first and then the convenience of everything in the lobby area. The elevator ride up to the third floor, where we stood was pretty fast and swift, clean elevator hallway, clean, garbage clan area, clean all the way down to our door. Pun entering, we noticed a clean smelling and very clean looking room. Everything worked. Everything was as promised, and we were very pleased with our stay and the first time experience.

Very nice accommodations. Clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
Coffee was cold for breakfast, employee said I’ll look into it. Mold on walls and ceiling in bathroom of room. Told desk lady about it and she literally just said ok. Not I will get someone to get that taken care of. Not a sorry to hear about that. Hell, hardly even took her eye off computer. Trust me folks, lots of other hotels within a 1/4 mile of there. Choose one of those.
- 3/5
Biggest issues were: 1. The shower curtain was installed too high and water was pooring onto the floor when the shower was used. 2. No microwave. Carpet was a little dirty. 3. The room is dark and most hotels put a standing lamp in that back dark corner. Otherwise it did the trick but probably won't stay again when in Rockford.
- 4.5/5
It was VERY clean a little outdated but was fine . Unfortunately we couldn’t stay overnight as planned due to weather conditions
- 2/5
No hot water, breakfast not open on time, bathroom not clean, trash overflowing at all entrances and all over parking lot, shampoo and body wash containers in bathroom empty
- 5/5
We were surprised at how nice this hotel was considering the reasonable price. We will definitely be staying here again whenever we visit the Rockford area.
- 1/5
Hotel was in a very sketchy neighborhood, with a strip joint basically next door. Toilets were preschool size, even a stranger in the elevator commented on how low to the ground they were.

Okay stay nothing special, clean. employees very nice and friendly. Breakfast okay.
- 3/5
We like Hamptons, but this one was the worst one I have stayed in. The furniture was too big for the room size, which led to sharp corners sticking out and having to slide through sideways in some parts of the room. There is no closet or drawers. To get to the fridge you had to open a cabinet the opposite way that the fridge opened which completely blocked the walkway. There were no knives at breakfast, so eating things like waffles and sausage patties extremely challenging. Overall, I was very disappointed.
- 3/5
Lukewarm shower, no microwave, just ok breakfast
- 3/5
There seemed to be a lot of construction going on around my room so it was very loud during the day. Breakfast offering was underwhelming.
- 1/5
Mold in the shower. Breakfast was not up to normal Hampton standards. They didn’t offer yo bags for breakfast and were out of many items, showing empty racks, holders and dishes where food was supposed to be offered. Ask kitchen staff and they said what was available was out.
- 1/5
The keys were not working.Someone had to walk us up every time we went to the room. The coffee pot was busted. The water went all over the floor could not have coffee the next day. We went down for breakfast at 8:30.There was literally nothing left.Nobody was feeling up breakfast
- 2.5/5
The hotel is very old, and the bathroom door is not working. The cleanliness of the room wasn't as expected

We came in late after going thru Chicago in heavy rain! We looked on Expedia for a place to sleep. Many options in Rockford. We choose the Hampton by Hilton because Expedia gave in an "excellent rating". We almost choose the good or very good... but after a long exhausting drive we wanted a nice place, pool and a good brea kfast for our two grandchidlren. The front desk person was not there ... and we stood for some time to check in. We noticed a sign that said - pool temporarily closed. She said -- well it was on your confirmation email. IT WAS NOT. She didn't apologize... just said the facts. Next: On your website the room we reserved says: Sleeps five. No way. Next -- breakfat til 10:00 am. At 9:30 am there was no eggs, hash browns and the meat. -- whatever that was supposed to be. There was NO one around so another guest went to front desk. They located someone who said .. sorry -- we ran out. We went to the front desk and she said sorry -- we rain out. I asked how could you advertise breakfast til 10. We asked to talk to the manager who isn't around til the afternoon she said. She said ... the could give us a 10% if we were Hilton members. Change their ratings please... so other Expedia customers are not infludenced to spend extra money for terrible service and a disappointing stay.

Convenient location, clean hotel, lots of convenience accessories in the room. Helpful staff.

Location and good bed Terrible breakfast for a Hampton. Very thin towels. Backed up toilet. Card reader kept failing. Lobby carpet looked dirty

Room was huge. Staff were professional.
- 2/5
The hotel was leaking water in the hallway on the 4th floor . It was very humid in the building it is very out dated and our bathroom has issues .
- 3/5
Too noisy. Close to interstate and cheap windows allowed for too much noise. Hallway and elevator carpets need cleaned.
- 4/5
To bad the pool wasn't working, could have used a nice swim before going to bed. Over all a nice hotel.
- 1/5
No microwave No WiFi unless you are a Hilton member. No counter space in bathroom Bathroom tiny. Shampoo dispenser empty Hand soap dispenser almost empty. Very small bedside table. Made reservation for an accessible room. Did not get one. Got a hearing accessible room instead - far walk from elevator, heavy door, hard to get into room with walker, have to walk into bathroom to close door while trying to get into room with a walker for 94 yr old mother. No room for walker to move around in the room. Not a walk in shower. No one answers front desk when I called. The only light on the desk does not work. Had to get it replaced. Carpet dirty in room and all throughout the building. Hallways smell. Room musty. No plates at breakfast. Coffee Luke warm. Oatmeal was cold. No reg coffee on second day. No gluten free options. Other hotels, cheaper hotels offer the gluten free option at breakfast. Breakfast totally unimpressive. Reviews said breakfast was really good but we found it very lacking. The pool and hot tub were out of order. I chose this hotel also because it had a pool. Most unhappy hotel experience.

Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was tasty and there were enough food selections. I was disappointed that the indoor pool and the hot tub were out of service. I had been looking forward to using them.

Hotel was nice & clean. It was nice they offered complimentary shower cap, toothbrush & other basic amenities.
- 4/5
Toilet was stopped—would not flush. Requested a plunger—CSR didn’t know where one was stored. After several minutes, a plunger was delivered to the room—I used the plunger. Facility was clean, but well worn.
- 4/5
Printer wasbroke so I couldn't get a reciept.

I liked how quiet it was. But i didnt like that they lied about the jacuzzi being up and running.
- 5/5
The staff members were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Nice area. Clean and comfortable room
- 5/5
Very very nice place. It was only a one night stopover, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great bed, high quality linens, pillows. Had a frig and a microwave. Bathroom was clean but actually not a great set-up if you were staying for a few days. No place to hang towels and counter very small. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, sadly, but the area looked really nice. Breakfast was very nice, several items to choose from. Just a really nice place. I do wish all hotels would go back to the 4-cup drip coffee makers and have separate recycle trash receptacles. I have to travel with a coffee pot so I can use my own coffee. Those little pods are awful tasting coffee.
- 3/5
It was ok but for the price i was hoping for something a little bit better
- 5/5
We had a very pleasant stay

- 5/5
Easy, safe feeling hotel
- 5/5
Check in was quick and the front desk staff were friendly & welcoming.
- 2/5
Checkin went ok. Did have to go back as keycards didn’t work. After dinner stopped back at the desk to get water as I’m a Hilton Honors member. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come. Chairs in lounge area wore out. Room was nice enough & clean. Bath towels were like drying with Brillo pads; thin, worn & small. This has been my experience with Hampton Inn’s recently.
- 1/5
The bed was not comfortable. Our stay was terrible because around 3am a couple was fighting in the room adjoining ours & the girl took off racing a car out of the lot. The guy must have been high/drunk. Extremely loud/belligerent. I believe the cops came & this went on for quite some time. Could not sleep for over an hour. And breakfast was not great. Not sure if the eggs were real & sausage was not breakfast sausage 🙄
- 5/5
Not much to say except that everything was perfect.
- 5/5
Nice and friendly people and professional, everything was nice
- 3/5
The toilet was very close to the floor. It was like sitting on a stepstool. Very hard to get up from. Also, the bath towels were very small - not much bigger than hand towels.
- 5/5
The condition of the hall carpet and freshness of it could be improved.
- 5/5
The complimentary breakfast had limited choices but the coffee was good.
- 4/5
No Microwave in the Room.
- 1/5
There were some young kids that were very loud and obnoxious. At one point, they slammed into our door abruptly waking us up. After being woke up a few times, I called the front desk to complain and the Manager told me to the call the police and was rude.
- 4/5
I love my stay it was amazing
- 4/5
Everything was mostly like you would expect to find at an Hampton Inn
- 5/5
From the bed to the bathroom everything was neat and clean. Had individual heater. Good breakfast buffet. Happy staff.
- 3/5
The front desk staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing. The room had dead bugs on the carpeting. I won’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Staff was helpful and friendly
- 4/5
I really liked the room, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast had good choices and there were apples and cookies available during the day. However, the hotel is right next to the tollway and the sound of the trucks and cars is rather loud, so difficult to get a good night's sleep unless you are truly exhausted. Our room also had an issue with the faucet in the shower. It was tricky and the first after 5 minutes of running water I finally had to settle for a cold shower.
- 4/5
The only negative is the very worn condition of tables and chairs in the lobby/breakfast area. Check-in and checkout was qui k and staff was friendly and helpful
- 5/5
The stay was very comfortable, clean and cozy. The room was clean, and breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
A good spot to rest on our way home.
- 2/5
The customer service was a little negative. They kept running out of cups for breakfast and instead of setting them up for the customers they just would throw the wrapped sleeve of cups down in the bottom bin for us to open up and unpack ourselves haha. Also the pool was a big reason i picked this hotel, and upon arrival the pool was completely empty with a sign that said" pool is closed until further notice"... I would have stayed elsewhere.
- 2/5
No coffee for 2 consecutive mornings. They were out of other breakfast items. Most guests left with nothing. Trash was overflowing in breakfast area. A large greasy/black mark was on the carpet in my room. It appeared that the front desk worker had to do the kitchen duty causing problems throughout. I couldn’t find a manager when I checked out. I called Expedia and they left me on hold for over 20 minutes.
- 4/5
The property outside the room was not clean, especially the carpets in the halls and worse, the carpets in the elevators.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms. However pool was under construction - never found that info anywhere
- 4/5
The property as a whole was good but the condition seemed older than most Hampton Inns. The room did not have a microwave so my wife could not heat up her heating pad(for stiff neck from traveling).
- 5/5
No review
- 2/5
The advertised pool was empty and unusable. All this led to the most horrible hotel stay I’ve ever had, and I stayed in a TENT in Kuwait while waiting to head up range. Not at all near the standards of the Hilton name. No compensation offered after I complained about the bed problem. Pitiful
- 5/5
Everything went great
- 5/5
Just traveling through and this hotel looked good. Sure enough it was, very clean and breakfast was great
- 2/5
Pool wasn't open, ran out of eggs, no waffles either, no tv remote,
- 3/5
We usually love all Hampton Inns, but this onre needs repair, pool isn’t fun functioning, furniture in lobby and breakfast area is shabby. We had to change rooms because the shower faucet wouldn’t shut off. The clerk at the desk told us the computer doesnt work well and the company won’t fix it. So disappointed
- 5/5
Nice people at desk. Breakfast not the best and kept running out, but we ate breakfast.
- 3/5
It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and it was close to the highway. The pool was closed, the ice machine was broken, and there was a pan handler in the parking lot.
- 2/5
I’ve stayed in a lot of Hampton Inns. This was the most crowded room, cleanliness was average, the bedding was poor and the breakfast was atrocious.
- 3/5
The comforter is wrapped with sheets. The bottom sheet pulls out from under the mattress. We ended up sleeping on the edges of the bare mattress with no mattress cover. Also a comforter is not needed in July. They need a mattress cover and better fitted sheets on the bottom and some way to easily remove the comforter if not needed. We won’t stay at Hampton Inn again until they remedy this.
- 3/5
Usually when staying here it is great. This time, however, there was nearly zero shampoo left in the shampoo bottle. I suppose not a big deal, but after a day of traveling the last thing I wanted to do was wait around for shampoo from the front desk. Another small thing - no jelly or orange juice at breakfast. Small, but bothersome nonetheless.
- 3/5
It just seemed like lack of care overall but breakfast was good and staff were nice given what they had to work with….this reflects poorly on upper management not front line staff
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, everything very clean, 5-star breakfast 😀 My family and I were very satisfied 👍 thank you.
- 3/5
Interior was nice and clean. Staff was great… exterior of building was bad. Weeds growing everywhere grass out of control. Outside appearance was not good at all
- 3/5
Exterior of the Property was not well maintained
- 3/5
Only room offered had a tub/shower with bars. We booked the room because it had listed as an accessible shower. My husband could not step over the tub to use the shower, we needed the walk-in shower to accommodate his needs.
- 5/5
Stopover close to the freeway. We all got a good night's sleep and breakfast.
- 1/5
Do not stay here. Rude front desk check in with “whatever” attitude about shocking $150 pet fee. Elevator carpet filthy, outside grounds overgrown with weeds, pool out of order for 2 months(?), room cramped with hardly any room to walk around the beds, no counter space around bathroom sink. Windows did not close tightly so loud freeway noise.
- 3/5
The grounds was all overgrown. The receptionist acted like she hated her job. The place wasnt very clean. Our room wasnt too bad. 8am the next morning someone knocked hard on our door and woke us up my husband went to the door and it was housekeeping seeing if we left yet or not. Keep in mind check out was at noon. We were not very happy. The breakfast was ok but nothing too exciting. I would not stay here again
- 5/5
Breakfast was under par Choices were not what u would expect from a Hampton Inn
- 5/5

- 3/5
No clean towels were supplied after first night. Breakfast foods were very limited on weekdays.
- 1/5
Didn’t have a room for me.
- 4/5
Pool and hot tub were out of commission, I guess it wasn’t working for 3 days. They were out of Kleenex in the whole hotel and bottled water too.
- 4/5
I had to look around for the desk clerk when I arrived at 6:30 pm. It took 10 minutes before she showed up.
- 5/5
It was easy
- 5/5
There was some debris on the ground in the parking lot.
- 2/5
Ice machine, computer work stations inoperative
- 3/5
There was a cockroach in the bathroom, and the handle for the shower was loose and hard to control the water temp. The shower head was loose and there was a big hole in the shower wall where the pipe came out of. There was a towel and shampoo from a previous guest still in the bathroom. There was no coffee maker or hair dryer in the room. One of the beds made an waful metal scraping sound when I sat on it (broken box frame?). The staff were pleasant, but I would not stay there again. So many other options in that same area
- 2/5
The staff and service was good, my wife and I were disappointed with the size of the room with a King bed stuffed into it, very little room to walk around the bed to the bathroom. The refrigerator did not work, I turned it on and to a cold setting and in the morning it was the temp of the room. I was also surprised that there was no microwave in the room. The breakfast was okay and was attended to by the staff.
- 5/5
Everything was great

Toilet seat needed to be replaced. In the first day staff said the PH levels of the pool needed to be monitored and hopefully the following day it’s be fix. Was there Mon-Saturday morning never worker, we booked this hotel for the pool and hot tub and have stayed before. Breakfast wasn’t replenished and was very lacking. Staff was rude at times and never at the front desk ever!! Smelled like weed and cigarettes on the 2nd floor and elevator often. Won’t be staying here like we do 2-3 a year when visiting.
