Best Western Plus St. Simons

The staff for breakfast was staying behind and this happened every morning which we had breakfast 4 days.

Great pool and rooms are very nice - breakfast was great

Our room was clean and beautifully decorated in modern motif - beds were great! The pool area is really pretty with comfortable seating to chill in a big patio area! We enjoyed the breakfast, big variety of food! Loved our stay!

St Simons Island's Best Western hotel was a great and comforting experience ~ as my St Simons home AC went haywire and stopped cooling ~ due to malfunction of the system's Computer Board that lost all functional data...Spent 2 nights at Best Western hotel on Main Street, St Simons Island ~ had a new functional computer board properly aligned ~ and our home is COOL again !! The evening and night shift ladies welcomed me to Best Western, and I had a great ropm that was inviting, and a cool rest, and wonderful freshly brewed coffee in the early morning ~ it really felt like a warm home away from home. Thank you, Liz, and my sweet West Highland Terrier, Rosie, she had a Great time too. Wishing everyone continued Blessings, Liz & Rosie

The property was very clean, the staff were outstanding, thanks for the visit there.

The first night was not great..our AC in the room broke. We let them know first thing that morning and they had it fixed in under an hour..while we were enjoying the wonderful pool!!! Location is fantastic and the staff was absolutely amazing!!! The breakfast was just ok. All around i would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Every staff member we encountered was super nice and helpful. The pool was great. The room was very small but we didn't spend much time in it so it was fine. Our shower was not clean and that was the biggest downfall. It has very visible mold in several places. It was so obvious I'm not sure how it was missed.

Breakfast on the first morning was lacking. Room smelled sour and musty. Dog upstairs barked for two days. Pool area was unkept (no towels, green algae on patio)

Great stay with great staff

Everyone was nice and welcoming. The staff and the guests. The jacuzzi was the highlight for me. The breakfast was good as well.

Expensive for the quality.

The hotel was in a very beautiful location, the room was nice and clean and the beds where extremely comfortable. The swimming pool and hot tub needed to be cleaned, there was dirt and leaves all on the bottom of the pool and bugs floating on top.

Pool was rough. Need more comfortable chairs at pool side. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean and good.

One huge issue was our room which was next to our daughter’s room our air conditioner started smoking at 1:30 and blowing hot. We called the front desk she seemed up sure what to do but she did end up moving us but our daughter (late teen) had to stay in her room (she had a other person rooming with her) but also another issue was the lighting at the pool. At the time they were trying to swim the lights weren’t turn on there was only one small light for the area.. the rooms were clean and nice! The breakfast was ok! It was fresh for the price excluding moving rooms at 1:30 am..

Place was ok. Breakfast was poor.

It is never like Home. But we enjoyed our stay and we have no complaints. The Lady that fixed breakfast was very nice and social and liked having a talk with you. Very nice person.

This is the second year in a row wehave stayed here and we plan to do it more. The staff are great. The rooms are clean. The pool and hot tub are awesome. The seating area outdoors is very nice. If you can’t fill up on the free breakfast, you have a problem. Nothing‘s perfect, but this place is pretty close. Only issue I think I’ve noticed both times is not enough towels outside for the pool. We stayed in a suite this time it was very nice, plenty of room, two TVs, fold out couch in one room, two queen size beds in the other room and a nice bathroom. For being on the island and Memorial Day weekend, the price really wasn’t bad.

Pool was disgustingly had not been cleaned in weeks. I was scarred to get in the pool. The towels were terrible and rough and the toilet paper was the worst. The staff was nice but I would give this location negative stars.

Bed was very tall .. had to jump up to get in. Toilet very loud. No freezer space in fridge.

Property was beautiful and staff were friendly.

Room was clean on arrival-was tgere 4days with no sevice! Had to take my dirty towels to staff to exchange, ask for tissue for the bathroom n ckean towels repeatedly. Lirs if apolgies same issue entire stay.

Nice quiet area. Breakfast staff was very helpful Shade in room would not go up. Bathroom door would not close all the way. Pool area was covered in tree debris. Pool looked cloudy so we did not go in

Beautiful area & very nice, quaint hotel -- BUT we were looking for a place either on the water or close enough to walk. The hotel we really wanted did not have availability for our time frame. The rep who I spoke with told me that while this hotel was not on the water we could walk to it & even see the water from our room -- NOT!

Overall I liked the hotel. Water pressure was horrible so showering was a little stressful. Also, the breakfast could have been a bit better considering the price for the room.

The kids enjoyed this stay the most out of our 9 day vacation where we stayed in 4 different places as we traveled from Oklahoma, to Florida, then to Georgia before heading to Tennessee. The pool/hot tub, & outdoor sitting area were absolutely gorgeous! We stayed in the suites and they were huge! Absolutely will be booking here again!

Very small room, the air conditioner was set to LC so it was locked and only came on once a day, the TV only got 1 station and the front desk was no help with that! The floor was a nasty linoleum! The worst hotel I’ve stayed at in years! I haven’t stayed at a Best Western in years! I guess I remember now why!!

The breakfast was not very good. We skipped it after trying it the first day.

Location and pet friendly. Staff was very pleasant also. The weekend breakfast buffet girl was wonderful and so kind! She went above and beyond to help guest with their breakfast selection being ready and plentiful. Updated room decor and plenty of room for our fur baby to run around. Could have had the basic things a little more clean… i.e. the walls in the bathroom were dirty and the paint was flaking off huge around the faucet shower head. The TP holder had about 2 inches of dust on it and there was also no shampoo. I had to go to the front desk to get one travel size shampoo. The staff did later on bring me 3 additional shampoos and I truly appreciated it.

There were bugs in the room which I saw the morning we were leaving.

First, I will start with the location. It was the perfect spot that allow easy assets to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Nice quiet isolated area with a beautiful yard that allows for swimming, hot tube and lots of sitting. Now, the rooms were so clean and roomy. The service was excellent. Warm and caring staff. The breakfast was great. I’m definitely keeping them on my booking list.

Friends and family trip, we have stayed here before and have enjoyed it! The pool and hot tub area’s are beautiful. Would love it if you added some gas fire pits to the outside seating area! Your outside sitting area is beautiful! Will stay with you again in the future!

The staff was courteous. However, the room was not in good condition. It leaves a lot to be desired. First, the room space was too night. Second, the bathroom shower was becoming undone from the wall. Third, the sink faucet was inappropriately placed. It presented a challenge trying to use the water from the faucet. Just wanted to point out some things that needed improvements.

Everything is good with exception of the design of the hotel. Luggage had to be carried up steps. You had wind your way around to the elevator.

The breakfast consisted of healthy options: yogurt, bananas, oranges , tangerines and nuts. I also, enjoyed the variety of oatmeal’s and cereals.

Overall the hotel is a good place to stay, especially for long weekends and the price. I had a few issues though during my stay. The first is I was given only half a roll of TP for a 4 day stay, so I had to get more from the front desk. The shower curtain rod was installed incorrectly. So when taking a shower the one side of the curtain slowly sank toeard the middle. This made fo a nice big puddle outside the shower. The shower also had horrible pressure, which made you have to stand up toward the front of the shower cause it had not power to spray at a good pressure. Same for the bathroom sink. Your hands basically touch the back of the sink just to wash them off cause the lack of pressure. The tv, although it's nice you can add your own netflix, and whatnot, took a minute to figure out. The channels definitely didn't line up with what the channel guide said. Internet worked fine. The staff was great and super helpful. I didn't use the pool, this time, but last time it was awesome with the jacuzzi. I didn't eat the breakfast as I was up and gone before it came out. Overall good experience and I will probably stay again, if I think it's the better option, or if I'm staying on Saint Simons.

Older building, but renovated. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Pool area looked nice. Unfortunately our room (107) had a moldy smell and the humidity was higher. Unfortunately the AC didn’t help. We didn’t check, if a better room would be available, because we only stayed for 1 night and it was already late.

Breakfast was very good, Beds very comfy, black out shades a plus. the only thing was very upset with no microwave. We had leftovers and nowhere. to heat them up.I will pay more for a microwave next door at Holliday express.

The King Bed was comfortable, but had a metal spring foundation. The SCREECH it made when getting in and out of bed was incredible.

It’s very dated with poor workmanship in bathroom - towel hook hanging off side, toilet tank cover misfit, grouting and tile poorly completed. Bed was comfortable. Someone smoked marijuana outside and it was sucked into the room by AC. It was quiet on the backside of the motel.

The rooms are small, but clean. Pool is old but nicely kept. I will say for the price for them to say at check in oh we are only doing late house keeping ( trash and towels only) is very cheap of them. Staff was friendly when you broke the ice. Ps odd rroms on wing even on the other.

This visit was okay at best. The room had cleanliness issues - hair in bathroom and soap scum on shower handle. We had to repeatedly ask for towels and washcloths each day. Each time we visited the pool there were no towels available. We visited the office to request pool towels and were told that they would be brought to the pool within a few minutes but never were delivered. Staff were addressed about cleanliness but didn’t offer to address - told us to take pictures of it. Room service has to be requested each day.

Very Quick Very nice people..

This is our second stay and we were glad to see that the are has remained beautiful, well kept, and painted. The location is absolutely one of the best locations and five minutes from downtown and the beach. Although our room was located in a perfect spot, our room was not cleaned well. The sink counter top still had dirt on it, the coffee pot had dust all over it, and the door to the bathroom was broken. The pool did not get clean until our first stay and it was already green. We would love to stay again but would hope that these issues are addressed.

Very nice! The staff was amazing, they treat you like family! I’ve never stayed anywhere with a staff as nice as these were! I’d give the staff 5 stars for sure! Especially the lady that works the continental breakfast room she was the sweetest thing ever!!

My husband and I spent a lot g weekend and left knowing we were coming back. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located in a very quiet area that just adds to the ambiance of the pool and hot tub area!

Parking lot lighting was extremely BRIGHT. The window blinds let in so much light that the room was actually darker during daylight hours than at night. I got very little sleep the four nights I was there. The water pipes popped and made noise all night. I will never stay at Best Western Plus St. Simons island again, Awful experience.

We liked the pool area. It was so spacious and well kept. The breakfast was good too. Staff was quite friendly and accommodating. Did not like that there was no microwave.

Front desk was friendly. The property needs a little more upkeep. We were disappointed the hot tub wasn’t available. There were no towels at the pool and had to go to the front desk. Why not keep them stocked?? The room wasn’t the cleanest. They could have done better.

I was really looking forward to the hot tub but it was not working the 4 days we were there. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable but I wish there was a lock on the bathroom door and a microwave in the room. But all in all a nice hotel.

We adore this hotel. The free breakfast is great. We reserve a suite for our family of four adults every time. This time we were there 7 days very comfortably. The rooms are clean and neat, bathrooms are lovely and clean, staff is super friendly, location is perfect, price is great and the best part is the amazing pool! We go back year after year. Can’t wait for next May

Location was great. Tv in our room didn’t work and they said that they couldn’t give us a discount because we booked through a 3rd party (Expedia). That’s understandable, so I asked if we could get a small best western gift card for our inconvenience. They said yes, and that someone in corporate would be contacting us. Nobody ever contacted us and we couldn’t get through to the right person so we never received anything. Very disappointed considering Best western is a well known company. Anyway, the location was perfect and everything else was good.

No seating area and the bed was well worn. Needs replacement. Hot tub was broken.

It’s a very nice property, secluded off the road in a good way and in a nice quiet area. The hotel is clean and my grandkids absolutely love the pool and Jacuzzi. The staff was very nice and helpful and I would definitely go back there again.

We had a great time at the Best Western Plus the weather was wonderful enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The only thing negative was the kids in the pool at night screaming at the top of there lungs....😠

Our stay at the Best Western Plus St. Simons was a pleasant experience. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room, grounds and dining area were well taken care of. The pool was clear and the grounds around it were being tended to when we were out there. We will definitely plan to stay with them again when we visit the island!

Stay was good for a couple of nights. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Was there for buisness and wished the biz center computer worked so I could print a couple of things but other than that the place was good.

The rooms are very old, the bedding smells, and there was a roach. We didn't stay. We went to another hotel.

Nice rooms and entire facility looks great. Pool area is very nice. Only issue was that the tv in one of the 2 rooms we rented would not pull in more than 3 stations. Staff offered a solution that did not work - were told maintenance would show up in the morning. Checking out in the morning, so that was not helpful. The girl who worked at breakfast was so sweet and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

We were very pleased with our 1 night stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and had all the accessories we needed. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Had a great variety of hot and cold foods, pastries, fruits. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again when in the area. The pool area was exceptionally nice.

We had a great time. The property was beautiful, and we loved the different boardwalks around. Only slight issue we had was that the water in the hot tub might have been more chlorinated than usual, because mine and my daughters skins became itchy and burned slightly. Thankfully after a shower that went away.
