Rooms were very clean, staff were amazing! Definitely recommend and will be staying again!

It is an older hotel that had been updated but was clean. The air conditioning unit was really loud.

Loved the proximity to Neptune Park and downtown. The hotel is close to the road, yet it was VERY quiet at night. The only suggestion would be softer towels.

Room smelled like a cat box. Toilet and plumbing fixtures were loose. Door locks took several attempts to unlock. food was cold and there was not much choice on weekend. Coffee was good.

Everything was fine except, it was very noisy. Doors were extremely loud when closed/slammed. It was constant before 11 PM & after 6:30 AM.

Nice breakfast, staff was friendly and offered assistance as needed. Property was being cleaned and painted during our stay. Room was clean and had newer furniture. Bathroom in the room could use a refresh with paint, sink and shower re-grout as well.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the building itself needs a refresh and some repairs. The AC unit in the room was really loud and cranky, both beds creaked and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. It needs so attention for routine maintenance

Didn't eat too much of it since we got to the breakfast area late We had to drive to the beach and the website is misleading about how far the beach was from the hotel.

Drain in shower did not circulate well. Shower does not lock in water.

Breakfast was so good, they were constantly checking it & bringing in new stuff and cleaning the area!!

Parking was plenty. Staff were very accommodating especially the housekeeping team. The sink was clogged and the TV was on gaming mode. We had to get our grandson to fix it 😂.

The facility, especially the restrooms need updating. The caulking, fixtures, etc are very outdated.

Coffee maker didn’t work in our room. Refrigerator didn’t work in our room, subpar conditions of faucets. It needs a major upgrade.

The hotel is in extremely safe area. We love St Simon’s and thought the hotel was clean and the evening staff was so friendly and welcoming. We also liked the breakfast staff - she was great. It is a clean hotel in a great location.

Everything is fine. Nice staff, easy parking, easy access to food and highway. Stayed at Tru by Hilton last night. Hilton was smallish room (great for one, iffy for two) with a great oversized and modern bathroom. Holiday Inn had larger room but smaller bath. Holiday Inn had a microwave. Both were fine and about $110.

The bed had the worst squeaking I had ever experienced.

The facility was like new. Had a shower not a tub, was a pleasant suprise. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was fress and flavorful with many options. Good value and I would choose this location again.

Room smelled really musty and bathroom floor was wet when we arrived.

We we checked in, did not have the proper room. We rented, then moved to another room, went out for the day and came back when there was a privacy hanger on our door, and our stuff had been taken out of our room and our room cleaned and our stuff was nowhere to be found until we went to the front desk and things magically appeared manager, hung up on me when trying to rectify the situation and would not speak to me or compensate me for violating my privacy. The only person who would help was a minimum wage employee that went above and beyond besides that very horrible management.

Had an experience with check in where the keys did not work. After two trips to the desk the clerk came up and checked and had to switch rooms since the lock was defective. The room we were given, the toilet paper was so low not enough for one use and no extra roll.

Various choices for breakfeast, hot coffee with creamer all day. The pool was open all day and wasnt too cold. The room had a sofa bed for my toddler. Bed was spacious and comfortable. Shower was big , enough room for me and my husband and our toddler. The only thing i would say was i wished they had bigger cups and when i pulled out the sofa bed the left side hit the ac unit

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express was great! We had everything we needed, our room was clean and the staff was pleasant.

We’ve always had positive experiences at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, which is why our recent stay was particularly disappointing. Unfortunately, the room fell short of the standards we’re accustomed to with this brand. The floor remained wet throughout our stay, the bathtub was clogged and didn’t drain properly, and the shower head had an overly strong, pulsating spray that made showering uncomfortable. On a positive note, the breakfast buffet was well done, offering a good variety of options including fresh fruit, pastries, breads, and hot items. We appreciated the effort in that area, but overall, the room conditions overshadowed the experience. We hope this was an isolated incident and not reflective of the usual quality expected from the Holiday Inn Express brand.

I was disappointed they did not clean our room in between days. They didn’t pick up the dirty towels or anything. The breakfast was good.

The staff was not very friendly. Nobody cleaned the room, took out the trash, replaced the towels, or washed the sheets after our first night there. We were a little late for breakfast but there was still people eating as well as food on the table. We started fixing our plates and the staff came through and took everything away before us adults could get anything. No staff said a word. Just grabbed everything as quickly as they could.

This was a really good stay. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever seen and the attendants at the desk were wonderful. My only complaint is that the spray or whatever they use to cover up a smell was overpowering and difficult to ignore.

The room had a smell and it was tolerable. The room was neat and spacious. The bed was hard. The breakfast was okay.

Hotel is great, good location, nice staff and always clean. Price is good too. Arrived a day after hurricane as power was off at hotel for a couple of days the computer was down and could'nt check in for a couple of hours but they were very accomodating when ready to reopen.

Breakfast was bountiful. There are three negatives. A. Air conditioner too noisy B. Toilet doesn’t have enough water flow C. Wood second floor do you hear the room above you walk around

Enjoyed first time on the island

The room was amazing, super clean, love it!!!

This property is undergoing renovation and the common areas and some of the rooms. I booked my stay for 3 nights but only stayed 2 as a result of construction debris and dust throughout the property.

They were remodeling when we checked in that we didn’t know about booking through Expedia. There were sugar ants in our room. The sink was clogged. No toilet paper when we got in room. Areas in the room and bathroom were dirty. Sheets had hairs on them. Headboard was nasty. Had to go downstairs for ice machine.

The property was in a decent location. The hotel is doing renovations which cause me off gaurd. You definitely get a paint high when you walk in the door.

My room had an awful mold mildew smell that was horrible and mad my family sick. That is very unsafe and is not what I consider a clean safe atmosphere. I wish we could have afforded to have just left. We would have if we would have known we would wake up sick.

The hotel was conveniently located. There was construction going on as they were renovating. Pretty noisy during the day so could not catch a nap.

Was not warned that our hotel we booked and paid 190 night for was a handicap room with water from the shower running in the floor. Horrible experience will never stay here again nor book with Expedia

When I stay again after the renovations are completed I will offer an updated review. The location was great, staff very friendly and informative, nice breakfast, and a short drive to the pier and beaches. Very quiet location ! If management would send out a blast when the work is done, I for one would gladly give the hotel another try. Joe

It's okay except for two things. First, the check in staff was not friendly at all. No cable so no I can watch the News. I reported it to the same staff but she was not helpful at all.

I don't usually do reviews and certainly am not one to express my dissatisfaction but unfortunately, this was the worst Holiday Inn Express (or any hotel, for that matter) that I've stayed in. It was in desperate need of TLC...run down, dirty and overall general need of help.

The air conditioner was on when we arrived in the room. (maybe for the odor not sure.) The toilet later had pressure problems when you tried to flush it and the coffee machine did not work.

The room reeked of urine and ammonia. We rented it for a wedding weekend. We ended up staying 4.5 hours in total and drove home because the stench was so awful.

We had a pleasant stay.

When we first checked in, we was given a room that had mold on the ceiling and the towels were wet. The bed was wet. The couch was wet and you could see dirt on the couch. We asked for a room change that night, and no rooms were available so we were forced to stay in that room when we turned on the AC it smelled like mold clearly had been a flooded room however, they still thought it was a good choice to Give me that room and it was not. We went into the second room the next day after I requested and no one seem to know that I needed a new room even though I reported that soon as we checked in on the night that we checked in I would not pay $100 a night for this room , it is a outdated old and it does have an odor and there’s some cosmetic issues that need to be looked at and are noted when you go in and clean the room so hopefully they will update the facility. I feel like I should’ve paid $250 total to stay here for the three nights. I stayed yet I paid 450 which is so much more Than how much it should be there. It is not a three or four star. I am not happy. I wish I could get a refund.

Manager was kind but person at desk was going through the motions. We asked for a pillow which we got, but when our toilet was stopped up , we got a plunger. No maintence person I guess. Beautiful location and delicious breakfast. Be ready with your own plugs. None by the beds.

Room had some rusty hardware and room was not especially clean when I arrived. Room was also very humid as though the A/C had been turned off.Staff was kind and helpful.

This Holiday Inn is very old. Sprinkler in ceiling rusted, lamp rusted, other fixtures. However, the shower was the worst we have ever encountered. Old, rusted in places, mold, mildew, lukewarm hot water. No bar soap. Dispensers on wall. Very slick where you had to step to get tp it. Needs total replacement! Breakfast average but sausage almost raw.

Hotel is not in good shape. Rooms need a lot of work. Shower curtains fell to the floor if tried to move them, paintwork is not clean. No microwave in the room. At breakfast, there was no bread at all in the bakery display and the coffee ran out and was not refilled

My room had no toilet tissue or Bar soap. I went to front desk and staff could not locate any. I informed staff that I would be out all day on a fishing trip and they could just place in my room, while I was out. I returned around 4pm and still No Tissue! I went to front desk again and was given two rolls.

The hotel receptionist was very helpful and a commodating.

After being out of the room for about 4 hours, came back to a stopped up toilet that had apparently been used by the cleaning crew.
