Baymont by Wyndham San Antonio Near Lackland AFB

Passable

The room was clean. Fridge was very cold so much so it froze our drinks but it was ok. Parking was well lit.

The air conditioning did not work all night so we had to move to a different room on the second night. The room smelled of mold . I also booked it as the Baymont by Wyndham but was told by the staff that it was half and half and was placed in the Days Inn which I never would have stayed at.

Staying here was far from what we expected. Rooms are run down, pool is nasty, ac is questionable. Reserved and 2 bed room and got a one bed.

Front desk switch our room due to AC and I guess they didn’t update the system, so at 2:10 am, two random men used a key card and opened our door to get in. When overnight staff came up, he was questioning me like we did something wrong. When I tried to file a complaint and ask for a refund he said I needed to wait on a manger. Went in the morning to speak to a manager and they said he wasn’t going in to be in until after check out. I called twice and he never returned my call. So I plan on going to cooperate.

The breakfast that had scrambled eggs & diced potatoes, toast, juice, coffee ( w/ sugars, creamers), cereal, oatmeal, breakfast muffins....really good! Nothing to complain about....

Beds were comfy and the room was clean. The parking was decent as well. The room had a fridge and microwave. It was also very quiet and peacful. The lighting was very dim and I arrived before my partner and it made me nervous. There were some guys hanging outside but they were at there room but arriving alone it can be a little intimidating.

The breakfast selection is very poor quality, and they even shut off the lights while people were still eating. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but this one is by far the worst. The pool looks nice, but the cleaning standards are not up to par. Many areas looked dirty. The beds were comfortable, though. The surrounding area does not feel safe. You can clearly hear people yelling and making loud noises late at night. This was my first and definitely my last time staying at this hotel. If you want a good experience, even for just one night, I recommend going elsewhere. While we were staying there, there was even a murder at this location, which was terrifying.

Room floor was dirty, bed linens was dirty, towels, pillow cases filthy, bathtub and toilet bowl wasn’t clean.no toiletries was in the room, stair case smell like pie, people was making noise outside the room and smoking.Homeless people was hanging out under stairs case.

Room was not cleaned prior to our stay. Found stains and hair all over our bed it was completely disgusting. Went to report it to the front desk and all he did was have me walk to the laundry room with him and gave me a sheet and blanket. Tub was filthy, toilet looked like it hasn’t been clean in days. We had to beg for towel and wash cloths and the guy at the front desk asked that we bring the dirty towels down to the front desk.

We chose this hotel strictly for its location, as it was only about 10 minutes from the military base, which was convenient. Unfortunately, that was the only positive. The room looked nothing like the photos online. The drapes were broken, the toilet seat was broken, and we ran out of toilet paper and towels during our stay. We also did not feel safe walking around the property at night. Overall, very disappointing experience.

The staff was extremely helpful! The room had some issues along with housekeeping. One issue with the room was one bed light did not work. Second issue was the tv. When turned on it did not have any channels pop up. So I had to call the front desk and he proceeded to tell me I needed to go to the input button and space over to the left until you reach the tv button and press enter. Had to do that every time the tv was turned on. Third issue was the white vanity sink which would not drain or seal up to hold water. I pulled the sink drain center up and cleaned the gunk off and replaced. It drained perfectly. It still wouldn’t hold water. Fourth issue was the refrigerator was set very cold which I didn’t know. I put food leftovers in the night and they were frozen solid in the morning from being in the refrigerator. Fifth issue was the ac split unit when the compressor kicked on it sounded like a freight train very loud. The issue with housekeeping was that the sheets were not changed. Had the same stain on the bed for three days. Lastly the coffee is awful. The staff was friendly.

Is just five minutes away or so from base Room was clean and room service was good too they kept the room clean I would recommend this for families going for AFB Graduation days

It was cheap. Sketchy when asked if I had insurance on my car. Missing mirror in one of the room's, mold in the shower ceiling, door didn't lock properly, and they took my money even though the staff said they would refund my stay, while I did pay for the insurance in case my plans changed through booking. My only mistake was not taking pictures before I tried to cancel my stay and left. Not a great experience at all.

I think if you're going to offer breakfast it should be an amazing sorts. Very plain very little of everything I didn't like the fact that my shower didn't drain well. I knew that if I mentioned it to them at the moment they would ruin my stay by getting someone to work the restroom. I just wish that they would actually go through every room and make sure that things like that do work It can ruined someone's stay. They say no smoking but my bed sheets had cigarettes holes.

They don't change the sheets, towels or clean the Room ? We were told to ask for the service, it is not in daily bases, they have no concept of "Hotel Management/Hospitality"

The rooms were nice, clean and pretty big. I would've like the option to park in front of my room like alot of other motels have but the parking was in one section upfront. The breakfast wasnt great it was ok for the price of the room. The orange juice tasted old.

Location to Lackland Air Force Base USB port and plug in on left side of bed did not work. Found unplugged and cord would not reach wall socket. No fridge in room. Was a large freezer which froze all my drinks.

For the money it was great, free breakfast, clean linens, king size beds, and amazing staff. It is a budget stay and doesn’t sell itself as anything more. If you don’t mind a little freeway traffic and interesting pedestrians in the parking lot to get a big bed and big breakfast - this is the place for you - we will stay again!!!

You should not trust the photographs; This hotel is of low quality, with very austere rooms. Barely hot water came out in the shower, poorly maintained and a little dirty. The curtain in the room is broken. The printer at the reception was not working, they could not print the receipt. Difficult to sleep because it is on a busy freeway with a lot of noise all night.

Bathroom need to be updated the water pressure and toilet took forever to flush

Neighborhood is very dirty, I felt unsafe the entire time. Some way, somehow, both of our vehicles and other guests staying at the same hotel vehicles were FILLED with red ants!!!! It took so long trying to get as much of them as we could out

I wish I could leave a review based on customer service alone because the customer service was superb! However, this is a bug motel. If you like dust and bugs, this is the place. Dirty sheets and pillow cases. Bugs everywhere. Cracks in the wall and bathroom. Spiderwebs in the shower. We will not stay here again or recommend it to friends and family.

Found some roaches here and there, including in one of the beds. Some of the bed sheets also look stained.

Cons: stained sheets and bathmat that were not replaced when requested, burn holes in comforter not replaced as requested, weird refrigerator that either froze everything or melted everything.

Wasn't the cleanest, and there were some technical issues, but for the price, it wasn't bad.

Was very clean, all remodeled, staff was friendly and accommodating. We got in a few hours after we said we would show and they had no issues, even upgraded our room. Pool was clean and hotel had adequate parking. 👍

The room itself it’s spacious and has everything, but the room was dirty, bed sheets had makeup stains, and you could tell room had not been cleaned, there was like dogs hair on the bed and really dusty everywhere

Absolutely horrible, front desk couldn't even find my reservation and the door was locked upon me entering for check in.

It just looked way prettier online and for the price of 155 I could’ve gotten something way nicer
