Staff was great. Room was smaller than usual but very clean.

me repeatedly during the stay to make sure everything was ok. And it was. I liked the way the room was decorated and arranged. No closet. But a wardrobe. A full refrigerator. Microwave, coffee maker. I liked the quality of the sheets, towels, and bedspread. The A/C and TV worked fine. There is a smallish grassy outdoor dog area. We would have used that more, but it was rainy. So we crossed the street and did a lap around the Walmart that also has some nice Landscaping. The hotel landscaping is nice. The pool is under renovation- but it looks nice. The breakfast was generous. And they are very attentive, making sure that everything is fully stocked and if there's any crumbs, they just clean them up immediately. It was really impressive to see the amount of care that they demonstrated with the breakfast and with the hotel in general. I did have to pay $75 for my two ESA animals which was a lot for today stay- I wish La Quinta would go back to not charging for them. They need some mats when you first enter the buildings. For some reason, they don't have them there. It is non-smoking. But they do have ashtrays right outside the door, but the non-smoking signs are very prevalent around the property which is welcomed. There are tons of fast food places near it a Sonic on one side, a Burger King on the other and everything you could help for within a mile radius.

Everything was great but the mattress was not. Very restless, could not get comfortable. Ac never reached temperature.

Loved the area this motel is at. Lots of eating places, stores, and other easy access.

The worst hotel I ever stayed at. The AC never cooled down the bedding had a very bad smell. During the night the room smelled like dog urine

First of all when we walked in the room, it was fine but after getting in the bed to go to sleep we noticed a smell that was so bad. We went and got clean sheets and pillow cases and that still did nothing to the smell. Lifted the mattress cover and the bed had pee stains all over it. Horrible experience I will never stay there again. My daughter couldn’t swim in the pool because it was green. I mean you get what you pay for but we should’ve atleast been able to sleep in a bed that didn’t stink.

Location was good. Personnel was kind. Breakfast had variety; I suggest to serve one day scramble eggs with pork sausage and the next day omelets with turkey sausage or ham and bacon to provide variety to families that stay more than one day. I expected a shower instead of a tub, at least tub must have handles. Also to please include decaf coffee and creamer with NO sugar.

Upon arrival, the facility appeared good. However, the room did not meet my expectations. The toilet backed up. The carpet was as dingy. I woke up with… I think with bug bits. No hot water. All this was brought up to Management. He apologized. Close the room for 10 days. He refund me my money. He said that room was for pet friendly family and gave a free night for next visit, The room.

We had a disappointing stay. The initial room had a strong urine odor and felt unsanitary. Although we were moved, we remained uncomfortable and were still fully charged with no compensation. Traveling with a young child, this was unacceptable. We would appreciate this being escalated and addressed.

Labeled a 3 star on the booking site, but definitely a 2.5 star max. It's an older hotel with 2 separate buildings on opposite sides of a somewhat dark parking lot. First room keys didn't work. Staff was courteous in fixing and quickly gave us another room. The room was clean but small with old-style furniture, a small TV with a Guide that didn't work, & a compact bathroom with a tub. Lamp bases and other metal features were rusty. Bed was comfortable & AC worked well. The breakfast area was tiny and completely full when we arrived. A good stay for the price, but not up to par with 3-star competitors.

There was a ladies blouse hanging in my bathroom when I walked in. Maybe not a thorough cleaning from the previous guest. I don’t think I’ll be staying at this hotel in the future. Once was good enough for me.

Room Excellent. Staff great. Breakfast area small and not enough seating area. Bath/shower needs ADA bars. Older people like me need these otherwise there is a sense of insecurity. Ice machine nearby made a lot of noise during the night.

The customer service was equally frustrating. Staff seemed uninterested in helping and were slow to respond to requests. When I brought up the cleanliness issue, it felt like my concerns were brushed off rather than taken seriously. On top of that, the amenities advertised online were either unavailable or poorly maintained. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and the common areas looked run down and neglected. Noise was also a major issue, making it difficult to get any rest during the night. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. For the price paid, I expected at least basic cleanliness and decent service, but this hotel failed on both.

Lots of things to do around the area, and only 10 minutes from our main destination The bed was a bit uncomfortable, the room was a little small but ok since we didn’t stay much in the room just to sleep. Filled with construction workers, trucks, and girls. They had an old picnic table and bbque set up at the end of the building where they would back the trucks up and party until around 9:00, drinking and smoking, but friendly. Everyone would clear out by work time in the morning. This was about 30% higher than other hotels in the area....

You can hear everything that went on in the hotel. People walking, talking, doors slamming all through out the night. Property seemed old as well

The property has no elevators and we had issues with the Waffle maker.

I never give feedback but from the moment I checked in I was not pleased with reservation. The employee who checked me in looked mad and seemed unhappy to work there. I went to our room and it was hot and our room had a foul smell. My son said it smelled worse than the boys locker room at school. Needless to say I went back to the check in left my key cards and left. I was not going to have my kids sleep in a nasty, hot smelling motel! Hope they use my reservation money to buy some cleaning supplies or air fresheners !! Never again will I even bother with a la Quinta ! Employees attitude, room smell, hot!

There was no coffee pot in room had to heat water in microwave and the room was in the sun and the curtains didn’t close not good and just didn’t feel secure there so I left around 2am

One night stay, staff at check-in was friendly, room was decently clean. Carpet smelled a little musty, but other than that was fine. Best thing is that it was per friendly and had everything we needed. Breakfast was decent for a quick bite before heading out.

Hi, the room was stinky, shower has problems.. there was no enough space to sit and eat..

Everything was good with the exception of the smell of the room. It reeked of animal urine and you could see spots on the carpet where there were stains. Behind the headboard there was also a very bad smell of animal. We took our pets so I'm not sure if they give specific rooms to people who check in with their pets. The room definitely needs to be closed down while they repair carpets and floors.

We didn’t feel safe. There were random people by the outside door waiting to come in. The room felt dirty. The worst part is that the restroom wouldn’t flush. We had to ask customer service at 3am what they can do. They lend us the room across to use the restroom. The shower was real low pressure. This was an overall horrible experience.

The check-in was a bit of a letdown. The front desk said our two rooms would be next to each other and gave us the keys, but when we got there, they were actually three rooms apart on opposite sides. The staff didn’t seem very friendly and insisted those were the only rooms available. Also, the fridge in the breakfast room was pretty old and dirty. On the bright side, the breakfast staff was nice and helpful!

First of all, I enjoyed my stay here. Second, this is not a standard La Quinta. This is a repurchased property that La Quinta acquired. Third, not a problem for me, but there are no elevators. Fourth, this is one of the few mid-range hotels that provide MEAT for breakfast! Fifth, I had plenty of towels, facial tissue, toilet paper and starter hygiene products in the room. Sixth, in my opinion, I believe ALL hotels set a "governor" for room temperature at night. I'm a cheap traveler, so having Wal-Mart and a variety of dining places nearby is awesome.

Only recommendation would be for the pet area. A gate to close to let the pet off its leash so they can do their business, and post signs that owners must clean after their pet. Also a bench so customers can sit

Property is older and has a couple of things that might requiere an upgrade soon but all in good conditions. Hotel room is clean and didn’t have any issues with neighbors. The only thing is that as a solo female traveler there were a lot of blue collared men and their big work trucks so please be cautions of your surroundings at all times and lock your doors. Breakfast was not the best and limited options available. Lots of food and shopping options in the area tho.

We are travelling from Mexico to Canada and the hotel was our first stop. Our room was incredibly clean (thank you Sylvia) and comfortable - beds and pillows were AMAZING!! We will stay again on our way back to Mexico!

We had a great time at this hotel! The free breakfast was really good, the whole hotel was clean, and we loved that it's dog-friendly. The free breakfast had things like scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, cereal, and pastries. Hotels which serve fresh scrambled eggs and a meat like sausage get a big leg up in my book. The employees were all very nice, too. I wasn't used to the online check-in / check-out process and I'm not sure what I think about it yet. Some improvements which I would appreciate would be making sure that the dog area's poop bags are stocked, and providing some kind of non-dairy milk at breakfast for people to use with the cereal

The staff was great! My fiance is handicapped and the staff went above and beyond to help out. I will definitely continue to book my stays at this hotel just because of how accommodating they were to us.

The trip was with my husband who is on oxygen and my mother in law who is 84 years old. The hotel was decent but the air condition was awful. The temperature was set at 65 and it still felt hot. The weather when we were in town was hot in the 902 and it still felt better being out doors.

This hotel is great for anyone looking for safety, cleanliness, and a friendly staff. It is not for those looking for fancy hotels to display for attention on social media sites. However, it is a great place for an enjoyable stay while traveling or visiting San Antonio. They have a good breakfast to start the day. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and I would recommend it for all of the reasons mentioned above.

I had to come into town for a business class and I needed a place for one night and it wasn’t bad at all. A couple of small roaches but other than that it was nice. The tv channels kind of confused me because they were all separated so I guide in the room would be convenient. They have breakfast in the morning which is a good plus.

For starters they are separate buildings. I WOULD NOT recommend staying here, 1) they do not have elevators so you have to walk up stairs with your luggage 2) you’ll arrive to a HOT room 3) shower drain was clogged 4) the ac makes so much noise 5) bed was so hard so be ready to make a chiropractic appointment 6) it also smells old and is VERY outdated .

the breakfast doesn't have enough variety and the condiments didn't match what was being served. the only option for fresh fruit was only a banana need more variety. other than that, the room was clean the property was clean, and the staff was friendly. the disadvantage is that there is no elevator and only 1 set of stairs.

Some notes: there was an odd smell in my room that I quickly grew noseblind to while in the room but was noticeable each time I re-entered the room. There is no elevator to the second floor, but they did give me a choice of ground level or second when I checked in and offered to help with my bags. It's definitely an older hotel, but it met my needs.

There was roaches in the unit. Also apparently the hotel water pipe is rusty. When turning the water on it was orange. I normally also book with Laquinta stay anywhere I travel but apparently this was one of the oldest facilities. I was not pleased and I had my family.

The manage, a gentleman who is in his 50’s maybe is very nice and helpful. My room was not nasty but for $55 a night you get what you pay for. If you’re broke as hell, I would recommend this place if you have to stay in this part of town. House services were very nice as well.

This property is definitely by everything even in walking distance from convenient stores fast food, to Walmart and shopping and restaurants galore. If you are looking for 4 or 5 star this is not it. The pics online are deceiving to me. It definitely needed some exterior work done from paint to outside decor and to get rid of the car on bricks in the front of the hotel that stayed for three days with a tire place literally right behind the hotel...lol. Things happen but move it to the back, it should be the first thing your guest sees upon pulling up aling with needing paint, decor, new signs, all signs were faded and peeling, just not a good look. Little things go a long way. It appeared that people live there also. The room was not the best I was given a room that had a kitchenette of some sort, which is ok for some but not what I wanted or needed because then it lacked space. The bed was pushed against the wall so I had to climb over my husband just to get out the bed and I had no nightstand so that meant no phone charger, nothing to set my drink on, etc. It was a huge event going on and I was there for a wedding so hotels were limited. Would I stay again No but it definitely depends on what is important to you. It was not horrible but it can be better with a little TLC. I did pass by other rooms which seem to be nice.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms great AC. Breakfast included is great. Variety of restaurants across street and close by. Walmart and HEB walkable in case you wanna pick up snacks drinks. Overall I highly recommend

The room was extremely clean. It was easy for Lyft to find. I ordered food and it was delivered quickly. Staff was fabulous. Breakfast was above average.

When we arrived, there was leftover food and sandals from another person. This is disgusting to end up, trying to shower and finding somebody else’s hair because it’s independently owned. I didn’t even wanna waste my time talking to the owner. My recommendation is find a different hotel. you pay what you get, but this was way overpriced for their garbage.

Bed was comfortable. Water oressure was great. Older motel. We are traveling with two dogs as we often do. This was the worst for cleanliness. It stank so bad I went and got a diffuser and diffused oils which helped. It wasnt urine. It was a dirty smell. Very odd since there wasn’t carpet so the only explanation is the floors weren’t getting cleaned well. It was a very strong smell. I informed front desk so maybe they will make sure it’s cleaned better. $50 for pet charge so I would think it would get done. Maybe it will improve.

Close to the area where my daughter had prom. Convenient and the location was good alot of shops around.

Our first stay @ La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Brooks City Base. Definitely will come back to La Quinta Inn. Room very clean, conformation. Staff very friendly and helpful

The stay was good and breakfast was ok the only thing that was concerning that there was cops every day i was there we only stayed 2 days and the cops were there both days...... other than thatvit was good 👍

I didn’t get charged what it said on Expedia, I was charged more! We get upstairs and it smells like someone was smoking marijuana and it’s suppose to be a no smoking hotel. We get in our room and the beds in the room are small. They are definitely not queen size beds, they are more like full size beds. There is a strong odor of smoke and menthol. Overall the hotel just seemed very tacky and dirty. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE BE STAYING THERE OR ANY LA QUINTA!

Overall great experience. Only issues were the barking dogs throughout the night and someone having their vehicle broken into even with security on site. Other than that no complaints.

hotel room was clean, and breakfast had great variety. neighbors next to me were smoking and i could smell it in the hallway but i did not report it. Otherwise i had a great time and great maintenance/cleaning staff

It was a family trip because of my son birthday we had a great time, the room was clean a/c good, breakfast was nice for the price and is close to the Riverwalk and has several stores and restaurants close by👍😊

Nothing seem to be on par for a facility you're paying over $100/night to stay in. It wasn't that much better than staying at a Motel 6 for half the price. I was not impressed.

There are 2 separate buildings for this property, the area isnt well lit at night. There aren't many options for dinning unless you drive out more. You can hear everyone outside and walking around the halls.

The beds

This location offers fewer amenities than I'm quite used to but gets the job done of staying at a hotel. The room was fine but for some reason the door did not look like it for the frame so you could see the light in the bedroom at night coming from the hallway. Breakfast was good and simple. Some of the outlets in the room didn't work either but the bed was comfortable for my stay.

My stay was amazing. The room was very clean and the night auditor was very helpful.

My refrigerator was not working and I don't think I have ever been to a LaQuinta that doesn't have an elevator. But overall service was ok and the room comfortable.

This hotel is just convenient. Bed size are full. Old rooms. Bathrooms old with stain. Good pillows. Good A/C. Good size of parking space. Near many restaurants and stores like Walmart. Safe area. Just 7 min to downtown san Antonio. Good staff

The room and towels smelt like smoke when there was advertising about it being a smoke free environment. And no one came to clean the room after our first night.
