Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel

Mahogany at the front desk was a joy to interact with! She had many good recommendations of where to visit and was so kind. She greeted us every time we walked past as well.

The only thing that I didn't like about the room was the bed. It had no support at all. It was supposed to be king size bed but it looked like a queen size mattress.

Our flight was delayed over 24 hours. We were not able to actually go to this hotel. The staff was fantastic as we were trying to get into San Diego, helping us to ensure that our booking would stay. I would not hesitate to book this hotel in the future.

Check in was easy, staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, staff helpful. The room was bad: the air conditioner was noisy, beds were uncomfortable, the shower curtain would not stay closed, and the bathroom door mirror was dirty.

Compared to what other people said, I found the breakfast pretty plentiful and quite solid. The room is pretty good as well, with a great shower and very comfortable beds. The free parking helped a ton, and the location for this place is also quite stunning too. Lastly, the hot tub was pretty darn good, even if (or maybe because) it was pretty basic. Not much, though the key cards they used were still the old kind that would not work if you put it anywhere remotely near a magnet/phone. Our cards kept on failing on us multiple times as a result, so this might be one thing they would need to upgrade on.

The staff at the hotel were so helpful. And we really wanted to be close to the airport and we were. Couldn't have asked for a nicer room. Would definitely stay here again.

parking is free and location is unbeatable. fantastic value. rooms are clean and simple. bed could be more comfortable, and having blankets available to use. staff were hit and miss with friendliness-I got scolded for needing my card remagnetized.

I don't have much to complain about. The price was reasonable, the place was convenient, the parking was stress-free and free, the breakfast was decent and free, the shower was good, the bed was okay, and there was no noise. The only complaint I have is that the sink had a strong sewage odor and needed to be cleaned.

The property is a bit tired could use with some updating in the pool area and in the rooms. New mattresses sheets and linens would be great and possibly a table on the patio along with the two chairs. This would have made my experience there even better.

This is my second time staying at this Best Western location and again it did not disappoint! Another positive experience, clean room, parking is plenty and the staff very helpful. No complaints here and I may have just found my “Go to” when I’m in the San Diego area. Thank you

Area is very nice and affordable for food shopping (Ralph supermarket very close). Gas was much cheaper here compare to other parts of city.

Very close to MCRD and the harbor! Arrived at the hotel late and appreciated having Mona at the front desk and greeted us with a warm friendly smile! During our stay she was wonderful! Our room had a partial view of the harbor with two chairs on the balcony. It could have been a bit cleaner as there was hair in the sink and the furniture was really tired. The beds were firm and we slept well. The sheets were very clean! My favorite part was the morning breakfast included in the room rate. It had a great variety and was warm with different items the next day with an attendant present. The tables were always clean and it got a bit warm in there with all the people but the attendant opened the doors for a breeze! The pool and hot tub were also clean and in working order. Really appreciated the drive up drop off zone directly off the street. Couldn’t beat the price point and the great staff!! All in all, we would stay there again!

The first room we were given smelled extremely strong of cigarettes. They kindly moved us to another room. The second room was sufficient enough for the less than 24 hour stay we had there. I would not choose this hotel if I was looking for a longer stay.

The building is old and the plumbing has issues also when something un the room fails and they have to work on it they leave the door wide open for everyone to see in your room very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Won't be amazing there again.

The free breakfast was amazing! So much better than it even advertised. There was seriously an option for everyone! They had so much..... cold cereal, fruit, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, pancakes, toast, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee, juice and probably a ton more I left out. The views were amazing right by the harbor, so having the balcony is such a nice perk. I'd totally stay here again if I'm ever back in town.

Was a decent stay, everything was clean. Had all the necessary amenities and breakfast had a good variety of choices. There is quite a bit of noise with the airport close by. The air conditioning system was pretty loud in our room as well as the ice machine that was in the hallway.

One night stay, had a early flight and it was nearby the airport close enough to not get any traffic. Place was clean and quiet. Not much conversation with front desk, checked in without the hastle as we had booked online.

The location was awesome for the price. Full breakfast varied daily with something for everyone and was a great value. Free parking was helpful. The pool view rooms are on the same side as a noisy road - select the backside for quieter stay. Our room was clean except for the shower, though the carpet had a huge wrinkle that was a trip hazard and quite annoying. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My only issue was with parking. The agent at the time of my check in did not explain to me that it was two different entrances for cars and trucks. I have a chevy transverse. Big suv. There also not any signs telling you the difference. To make a long story short.. I ended up damaging my passenger side door because I went out the exit for smaller cars. The driveway and wall is my mark properly.

Friendly staff. Generous breakfast with some variation. Rooms were large, but the air condition was too cold and not controllable. Bar soap and small shampoo and conditioner bottles could have been bigger. Great location on the waterfront and near the airport.

It was fine, probably on par overall with other hotels in this area in the same price range, but nothing special. I was hungry at 10pm and found several options nearby and the neightborhood felt plenty safe to walk, so that's a big plus. The mattress felt weird, not in a good way, and then I noticed it actually was two single bad frames pushed together with a mattress on top that felt well past its prime. The room overall was clean EXCEPT there was some weird dried splotch on the bed headboard that appeared to be some sort of human bio-residue, so that was gross and unnerving, obviously missed by housekeeping. I come to town once a month, fly in late, sleep, and then leave early for local work, so the most important aspect for me is a good bed, and this definitely was not it. The room did have a nice balcony, and the breakfast bar looked pretty good although I did not eat breakfast at the hotel so that was not an advantage for me personally. I would not be averse to staying here again, but it probably won't be my first choice either.

1. The flush was broken causing water to flow most of the night until I pushed it down a few times in morning that made the flow stop. 2. The coffee maker switch was broken causing it to automatically start upon plugging in. 3. The wall outlet plug below the study table was loose. Other issue was related to vehicular noise from the main road right next to the property causing a disturbed sleep. Overall a suboptimal room experience.

Everything was wonderful! Breakfast was delish! Hot tub was amazing😍 the best part was the smoking room! Smoking rooms are hard to come by in a nice hotel these days but this one was top notch with a balcony. Everything worked properly and I had a nice stay. Mona was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was great. I didn’t get much sleep with all the cars by passing by and well the mattress definitely needs replacing. The room was clean but does not to be updated.

We ended up leaving because the television did not work in our room. There were no extra rooms to switch and there was also someone at the front desk who did not have AC in their room. The harried front desk person could not reach maintenance. They did give us a full refund.

The Lady staff in the reception night shift was not helpful at all, I was only asking for only 1 bottle of water for my daughter it didn’t give me, at around 9:30 pm.it was disappointed of this kind of situation.

Room is average and pretty outdated. Pop corn ceiling. AC makes noise. Called front desk and was told all room has the same AC that makes noise. Room is facing the street and noise proof is terrible. And light proof is bad as well. I had to get an eye mask to be able to sleep properly. Overall, the room condition is not great. Breakfast is ok but very repetitive and gets tired after a couple of days. Parking is free, which is good. Other than that, really nothing to shout about at this hotel. Maybe it is cheaper for those reason.

The room felt a bit outdated, but the beds were comfortable. Our balcony was on the ground level and opened right up to the parking lot, which wasn’t ideal. That said, with the discounted rate and breakfast for four included, it was still a good value for a short stay. I probably wouldn’t choose to stay at this hotel again, though the breakfast was surprisingly good and definitely the highlight.

Breakfast and hot tub was the only decent thing about this hotel. At this property you get what you pay for. Older and outdated, needs some work. Smells like mildew in the rooms. Loud when planes are flying over. A/C is super loud and bangs when it comes on. Workers are kind.

Wonderful stay at the BW Yacht Harbor Hotel. I stayed for NYE/NYD and I enjoyed myself thoroughly. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly. Local walk to many restaurants, coffee shops, and a grocery store, as well as a quick drive to pharmacies and shopping centers. The included breakfast was delicious w lots of options.

Now the room - they need to steam clean their carpets. Our feet were very dirty (turns black) if we walk barefoot on the carpet, it was pretty nasty! They also need change their blankets to the comforter ones, there were just like a rag-type blanket which I thought hotels don't use those anymore! The beds were firm and not comfy. They also have small containers for shampoo, conditioner and lotions - they should change to the refillable ones.

The breakfast menu is fresh and they offer a little variation each day…they alternate between French toast, biscuits w/country gravy, pulled pork sliders, and breakfast burritos using the diced ham, shredded cheese and pico de gallo. They always offer scrambled eggs and sometimes bacon. It’s much more than a continental breakfast some hotels offer. It’s ver good in fact! The parking is very convenient and seems to be plentiful. The front desk staff is very friendly and courteous! Whenever you walk by the front desk they smile and greet you. The room is clean and although not very spacious, it’s comfortable for 2 people. We also enjoy having a small refrigerator and a microwave in our room in case we want to eat in the room. All in all we always find it a comfortable place to stay with everything we need close by due to the convenient location.

Property condition is fair. Very discomforting and noisy coil beds which none of us liked.

Breakfast was excellent - so much variety! And Mahogany at the front desk was super helpful, and so kind, and knowledgeable. She made me feel very welcomed as a guest, and explained everything I needed to know for my stay. The property itself is older, and yes, could use some renovations and updating, but even as is, it provides a very comfortable stay. All the hardworking hotel staff are awesome, From the front desk, to the maintenance staff workers, and the kitchen staff who work tirelessly to put on a fantastic breakfast, to the room maids, they all deserve praise for making guests enjoy their stay while in San Diego.

The breakfast is alright but not the front desk. The lady was rude. The parking doesn’t have a sign for in and out. The entrance and exit are the same place. The room is not clean and very old. The deck is nice but having safety issues while the cars passing by, the deck is obviously shaking.

The room was clean, the breakfast was always good. The beds are ok. I only have a few complaints. 1) the air didn’t work in the hotel room I never brought this up because regardless it was still comfortable. 2) the hot tub really needs to be maintained the paint is chipping it was not like this 3 years ago when I was there. 3) they just need more room for breakfast but that’s not easy to fix. The staff is super friendly and helpful, parking is easy and included. I love seeing and hearing the military planes and helicopters. I also love how close it is to some great restaurants, Pizza Nova is amazing and across the street. I will go back here if looking for a hotel to stay in San Diego

Clean Room, Nice Staff. Good Area.

It’s a Best Western…. It’s not The Four Seasons. If you understand what that means, and you’re okay without TFS extras, it’s 5 stars. The area was walkable to restaurants and marina front strolls safely strolled 4 nights in a row by 55+ couple we are. Close to downtown, we rode our e-bikes to Gaslamp in the day and the went back for dinner for $13 bucks in an uber. Want affordable SanDiego base for a getaway, it works well.

The hotel, location, pool area, and breakfast were all excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Diego with small children.

Overall, this was a great hotel stay for the price. Loved being across from the harbor and being able to take a walk. The room was mildly dated, with some bubbling on the ceiling in the bathroom and a very noisy AC unit. BUT it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was FANTASTIC! So many options; for a free continental breakfast, it was def a highlight. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Will return, and would recommend.

Great affordable stay. Free underground clean parking, clean room, every thing work in the room, except the mattress, terrible, both beds. Great Breakfast, with a lot of food all the time, even when near to closing time. They had disposable gloves, this was un expected and really appreciated. They have "pico de gallo" for you to made a "eag burrito", this was a plus. Really good breakfast I overall, and clean, congratulations to the staff. Hope the property owners change the mattresses, this will put this hotel, on the top of any other in the area.

The staff was amazing!! Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff were all super kind, courteous and helpful. Probably some of the best staff I have encountered at a hotel! Everything was clean. My only wish would be for updated bedding and beds to make for more comfortable sleeping.

Room was very clean but the heater did not work, we had it set on 85, the hottest it would go to. It was colder in our room than it was outside. It was 60 outside. But freezing in our room. Everything else was great. Amazing breakfast friendly staff. Ample parking. Right by the bay.

Jacuzzi was not working. We informed staff. They said they would check on it. They never bothered to check on it. It’s clear this place is no longer maintaining their facility. Also, we used to stay here due to free parking. Now they gouge for parking. We will no longer book Best Western.

This hotel was advertised as excellent an 8.8. It was not excellent…the room was small, older, TV was small, hotel and room was in need of renovation. There was lots of road noise…with a major road was right outside of our window. With this being said…the staff was friendly, professional and helpful.

The room was spotless and they cleaned it everyday. Free breakfast and the Manager and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly! The pool was very warm, parking was free. I had a fabulous view of the marina and many boats with a balcony. We were celebrating our 45th Anniversary so it made it more special! Be sure to eat at the Best Western on Shelter Island for a scenic happy hour or dinner. A good location, close to the waterfront!

There isn't much to do in the immediate area, but it is close to the airport An Uber or taxi are needed to get to the airport if you don't have a car. The location is about 25 minutes from the major sites, such as the zoo. Museums, Old Town.

upon arrival after driving for 12+ hrs, i was told my reservation was cancelled with no explanation despite me showing confirmation # & multiple emails with all the necessary info. she ended up charging me 400$. i had booked & reserved my stay at 333$. had also reached out to confirm a view from balcony. once in the room, the curtains didn’t work properly & i was looking at a parking lot and another hotel. despite the property CONFIRMING that i’d have a full boat view. there were multiple large stains on the floor as well as a literal STAPLE laying on the ground that my guest STEPPED on. the room was very outdated and neglected , the hot tub was completely broken- the whole time i was there, and the cherry on top was hearing the worker finesse someone else the same way she did me. claimed they didn’t have a reservation & charged them more.

The staff was very nice. The problems we had were with the room, first of all the water pressure is non-existent my hair still had shampoo in it after 20 mins of just rinsing! From our room you could hear every vehicle, plane and person from the street. We had to call the front desk to co.plain about a group of girls screaming and making animal noises so loud it sounded like they were in the room with us. The hotel itself is old outdated and relatively clean but still seemed moldy. Overall our stay was not close to what we expected would not recommend.

Check in was ok. Smell in lobby and room not ok. Why they charge a $5 deposit is beyond me. I'd consider it a basic hotel with basic amenities. Breakfast and "gym" were the highlight of my stay. The rooms are small, but have fridge and microwave. Hotel does not provide airport transportation. Uber is about $ 15 from SAN.

Everything was actually Very Nice... Except.. and I will tell the desk at check out but, the batteries are dead in the TV Remote.. I'm so tired, I don't even care that I can't watch it... I will let them know. Everything was Perfect and the Young man at checkin.. about 330pm 1-23-2026... he was the BEST CS I have ever checked in with. Courteous, thoughtful, detailed, knowledgeable. The hotel was well maintained, had very friendly, helpful and pleasant staff, breakfast was excellent and the price to stay was very reasonable. I'd highly recommend it.

Arrived at 10 p.m after flying into SD. Room was 77 degrees and AC not working. Instead of offering to give us a different room, they called maintenance. They then proceeded to bring ladders in at 11 p.m to try to fix it.

The pool was closed the entire stay! The front desk guy kept saying yes it will open tonight and it never did. This was one main reason why we picked this hotel. The hot tub was cold. The keys to our room stopped working. The sink was clogged. The balcony door was so hard to open because of rust. I would not recommend staying here.

Every employee was so friendly. It's a great location with pretty views of the harbor. The breakfast was so much better than i expected. It's great to have free parking. And the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable!! All for a really affordable price.

The hotel was okay for what we needed. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t anything special but it’s still nice to get some fruit, yogurt, toast, in the mornings. The pool is quite small and it was closed during our stay. The rooms are small and a somewhat run down but again, it was fine for what we needed. Parking is free which was nice. The location was a short drive to the beach and to restaurants.

This was a wonderful stay with my kids for our pre holiday trip! Front staff was very nice and the breakfast was excellent! Parking was super convenient and free. I would absolutely stay here again. Our room had a balcony facing the harbor that was all lit up for Christmas.

Accessible room reserved not available, moved to 3rd floor end of hall after being told it was by elevator. Sheets dirty, moved 2nd day to accessible room and my daughter found bedbug in bathroom. Mgr nonchalant didn't even come check room. I left due to continual issues. They said they would refund stay. They refunded $5 of a $320 stay with so many issues including no hat water in the entire hotel!!! Worst stay ever and I used to travel for a living. Deserves serious follow up and to be accountable for this series of continual failures and refunding $5. Just so flippant and un apologetic. I won't just let this go.

A few small things could be improved. The shower water pressure was pretty low, and the toilet was very low, which isn’t ideal for taller guests like myself (I’m 6 ft). Also, the 4th-floor vending machine didn’t work. I was later told the vending machines aren’t the hotel’s responsibility, but since it was mentioned at check-in, it would’ve been helpful to know it was out of order so we didn’t have to go downstairs for a working one. Overall, it was a good stay, and I’d consider staying here again.

We had an amazing stay at this Best Western. We were on a 10-day road trip and stayed at several different hotels, but this one honestly outperformed all of them. The breakfast was especially great and very kid-friendly, which made mornings so much easier for us. Parking was free and easy, and the location was close to everything we needed. We really loved our stay and would absolutely come back

The TV remote did not work. The maintance man had to switch TV sets 3 times. Also the Jacuzzi was broken and dirty. I called before boking to verify that the Jacuzzi was in good working order. They lied.

The complaints I have are that it’s a bit loud due to multiple reasons: 1) the water pipes make big noise when there’s anybody above or below your room opening their facet/shower; 2) sound proof is just not good enough, we can hear people walking by above and in the hallway; 3) we got a room facing the road, while the balcony have a good city view, it was loud when cars pass by. Mattress is very soft, sometimes uneven. They don’t have comforter, just blankets. We need to ask for double the blankets to be warm enough (but staff were fast when fulfilling requests).

The hotel offers good value for money. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Everything was well-maintained, and the stay felt pleasant and worthwhile.

We appreciated the transportation to the cruise dock. Enjoyed walking in the area. Found good eating places in the area. The hotel was reasonably priced and had friendly staff.

Con: Wifi is so bad . I am on the 4th floor. It kept dropping and disconnected all the time. Noise . Not so quiet. With price range 100 to 150 is ok. But If you pay 200 to 250 , look for another hotel.

The tub had a backflow of sewage. We were offered another room, and it was satisfactory for the rest of our stay. In the morning, there was rarely someone at the front desk. The breakfast choices were good, however it is a small area.

The main problems was that WiFi was not working the whole time we were there. This was a problem since I had to work on Friday. And the second issue was that the AC was not working ( needed with the sun shining into our room )

Good stay - went very smoothly

Staff were great, but we weren't advised until we arrived that there would be no power fron 9pm to 7am. I realize this is not the hotels fault, but if we had been advised as soon as they knew (and one staff member said she found out that morning when she started her shift), we would have made alternate arrangements. There was no wifi after 9pm for the duration of our stay- unacceptable in 2025. We were unable to confirm flights, book an Uber etc, so had to pay additional fees for roaming.

Everything was great: good breakfast, friendly staff including kitchen staff, nice bed and small but fully adequate fitness room. I would, however, recommend that the old carpeting be replaced. It bothered my allergies a bit.

Very nice room. Excellent staff who gave us a late checkout for our Marine graduation. No shuttle to MCRD but Uber and Lyft worked great. Breakfast was incredible and free. It satisfied all of our picky eaters. Location was perfect with the ocean so close.

We were very surprised at how much we enjoyed the Best Western. The hot buffet breakfast was great including eggs, bacon, French toast, pancakes etc. parking was free. The hotel was easy to find, close to the airport and across from the harbor. To top it off our room had a balcony and the employees were friendly. We recommend and will stay again if the price continues to be affordable.

I think I may have lost count now how many times I have stayed here. I just like it all around. Room was spotless and well maintained. The staff was great for check-in & check out. The cleaning team was amazing. I didn't catch her name, but one of the ladies was just lovely and was nice to everyone passing by in the hallway. It just gave everything a different vibe. The lobby was clean, the staff friendly and provided the breakfast information. Hallways and the room were clean. Only one elevator which was ok because we used the outside stairs that was quicker exit. Plenty of open parking and covered as well. The breakfast was the best selection and quality I've seen in all the hotels offering free breakfast. We didn't use the pool or exercise area but they looked clean. Location was excellent for some great food just a few steps away. I would definitely stay again at this Best Western.

Room clean and staff great. Since our last visit pillows changed and neither of us slept well with the new style pillows. Breakfast not for me as a diabetic but looked well stocked for regular guests. Great location for what we wanted and good restaurant in easy walking distance.

The hotel staff was awesome. The hotel room felt old and needs attention. The sliding glass door aloud so much noice even when closed it made sleeping a chore. The last night we were there the military jets were taking off at Coronado and I thought we were at war the noice was so bad!

HVAC didn’t work dirty rooms

We actually cancelled our stay here after making it into the room. It had an odor reminiscent of cat pee, probably from the AC. There was no comforter, just a sheet and a blanket. There was stains on the sheets and headboard. I am still waiting on a refund for this, we were in the room for 4 minutes.

We chose the hotel because it had a hot tub. Despite numerous complaints it was not fixed. Very disappointing. The staff was nice and friendly.

When we checked in they let us know there was no hot water. It would have been nice to know prior to arrival so we could have found somewhere else to stay. We asked for non smoking and again on arrival they said it was a smoking room. The ceiling by the elevator was leaking and damaged from water.

The eggs were runny, low quality bacon and potatoes were cold and hard.

Disappointing were the facilities in the room, the toilet flush was temperamental and the shower mechanism very stiff to operate. During our stay there was no hot water for at least one day. However the hotel is in a great location, the price was very reasonable for San Diego and the free parking very welcome

Waited more than an hour in the lobby to be checked in and watched 4 other people get checked in before me, some with the same room type as ours. I worked in the hotel business for 30 years so even though I was early for check in time I felt a little disregarded.

The location is great. It was clean and the front desk attendant was very nice. I liked that it was within walking distance from restaurants and the harbor. I recommend trying Mitchs Seafood right across the street. The bed seemed old and was a bit too soft for my liking. I had a room with the balcony off to the side parking lot. Next time I’ll request one that looks out toward the pool. Breakfast was decent. Eggs a lil too watery. Parking is safe and free. I’d definitely stay again but upgraded beds and bedding would be nice.

Close to everything in Downtown. They even have a free shuttle service to the ship terminal. The parking is free and for guest who have 7 days cruises or less. Free hot breakfast is also included.

Front desk staff (young woman) totally unfriendly even demeaning---two check in stations and I went to the first closest to front entrance; she sat at second and would not move----made me move to her station. Parking is awful and no entrance to hotel from 2nd level parking. Not up to the price or Best Western standards.

Stayed here many times the hotel definitely needs som tlc blow dryer wasn't working door lock needed new batteries and reprogrammed carpet going into bathroom is worn so tacks can be stepped on needs new beds too.

1977 Hotel - Really Great Location near the harbor. Very close to venues hosting a wedding we attended. Great value. Breakfast was super...changed it up every day a little and we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, if you're not too picky, this place was an outstanding value (lowest price around). Highly recommend unless you're looking to spend a lot more money.

Started bad with parking and having to go up or down stairs to check in. No direct path without stairs. The first room we got the air conditioner was rattling badly. They gave us a new room. The room was tiny. There is no room for the ladies to get ready at the sink/mirror. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. Carpets throughout the hotel were stained and looked ready for an update. Upon checkout, we had ants that invaded our room. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be staying there again.

It was 1 in the morning and i wasnt about to carry my sleeping child across the street...let's just say i parked where I wasnt supposed to for the night. For the price I would expect more. The hotel is pretty run down. There was a bucket in the lobby with a ceiling leak. The floors in the bathroom were uneven as well. It doesnt look like the pictures online.

We had a side balcony with a partial sea view which was nice. Road noise and airport noise a bit loud but not bad at night. Several restaurants and stores within easy walking distance. We stayed one night before our cruise. The cruise shuttle was convenient.

On arrival we could not get into our room as the cable was being updated and we had to wait several minutes in the hallway. Leaving this aside, the room was very comfortable, and the location was great, close to Shelter Island and we were able to walk to several bars and restaurants.

Looked good but did not use

The pros for this hotel are its excellent hot buffet breakfast, the best included breakfast I’ve ever had in hundreds of hotels i stayed at. The beds were comfortable, and good location with many restaurants within walking distance. On the other hand, the sink and vanity area were so tiny you couldnt put anything on it. My toiletries kept falling off every morning and many of them broke. There was no room to do anything at the sink but wash your face and brush your teeth. Worst of all was the so-called wifi. They keep changing the password every other day and dont bother to tell their guests. And it’s not hi speed for sure. I couldn't get any wifi the whole time i was there.

For a cheap hotel room, it was a great experience. The hotel is in a great location right across from the harbor and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, bars, stores, and coffee shops. The common areas were all nice enough, the pool was clean and well kept, the breakfast had lots of options and was pretty good, parking was easy. The only issues were 1) the accessible shower where the tile wasn’t set up to drain enough in a downhill direction and thus required a bunch of towels to prevent the rest of the bathroom from getting wet and 2 the hot tub in the pool area had broken jets.

It was a very nice stay for one night

The property is convenient to the yacht. Parking is tight but ok. The rooms are dated, but the beds were comfortable. It’s a little pricey for what you get.

1st rm they gave us had a serious leak in the bathroom. So they moved us. 2nd room had a toilet problem. That got fixed but this rm sees the entire parking lot. I thought for sure they would compensate us for the inconvience and our pain of having to move rooms, and sadness of not having a better rm. they said compensation would come from Expedia.

The television didn't work, the cable didn't work, and the jacuzzi was closed. The person at the front desk had a very bad temper.

Close to different beaches. Several food options nearby. The desk staff was the most helpful and friendly I have EVER experienced. It will definitely be our go to place on our next visit.

The rooms were clean but cramped. The bed was comfortable. There is no in room safe but a safe deposit box is available on request at reception. "The fitness centre" is a treadmill, elliptical, a broken bench and assorted dumbbells under 50lbs. There was a small pool but it was well used when we were there so didn't go in. Staff overall were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a rotation of hot food daily.

Our stay was okay, nothing grand. Used the pool with my little ones, they loved it. Breakfast was not the greatest. Breakfast area is too small. The hotel was nice and quiet, we were able to sleep well.

We checked in around 5pm, and we got a handicap room on the 1st floor prior to 2 weeks ahead of time reservation, and we were told it’s a first come first serve hotel. Bathroom was horrible, pool was filthy, breakfast terrible, staff cooperation was disappointing. Kudos to the photographer for posting beautiful pictures on line :((((

Picked this place because of the free parking and breakfast. They have a fantastic breakfast spread. Room was fine except the patio door didn’t close properly and I had to fight with it every night to close. Would have just left it open but the road was noisy.

The location is convenient and has nice spots across the street. Breakfast is decent. I didn’t use the pool but it looked ok. Staff were mostly friendly, one guy was kind of strange but everyone else was nice enough. The room and hallway all smelled musty and of stale cigarette smoke either from the balcony or remnants from before I’m not sure but it was quite potent.

Good location just across the road from the harbour and free parking is a very good perk. Rooms are looking a little run down but that is perhaps factored into the lower price for the area. Our room claimed to have a balcony and the pictures on our Expedia booking had chairs on it, but our actual room ‘balcony’ was far too small to fit a chair and more of a guard rail to prevent falling from the open doors. Only three rooms had this style balcony. We enquired about this but were told that we should have booked an upgraded room with either harbour or maintain view in order to have chairs on the balcony. The receptionist claimed this was an error by Expedia and that the pictures were incorrect- Disappointing as we were staying for four nights and wanted to be able to use the balcony. We asked to pay to upgrade but the receptionist came across as rather dismissive and said the hotel was fully booked. Breakfast was very good but the seating area is small and was always full for the four mornings we were there. People were waiting for tables and/or sitting outside on the pool side tables and sun loungers. No complimentary coffee available outside of breakfast hours. Disappointingly the pool looked a rather green tinge and so our children decided not to use it. Overall it is a nice area that seemed very safe even at night time.

The amenities offered for the stay were excellent, including in-room coffee, fridge, microwave, and flat-screen tv. They also offered all guests a free morning breakfast. Best of all, when I complained shortly after checking in about the difficulty in finding any live tv stations, they attended to it right away. Considering the reasonable price that Expedia offered, the hotel's proximity to Balboa Park and to downtown attractions in San Diego, it was a great deal!

Great location near airport, close to dinning options and close to downtown San Diego, Sea World etc. Breakfast is typical (eggs, protein, waffles, cereal, toasts, yogourt, bananas etc… hotel’s overall condition could be improved. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Some traffic noise from morning commuters that could be disturbing for light sleepers.

The staff was friendly, the location was convenient, and the room was clean. We were really impressed by the breakfast quality and options.

For the money, it was good. Reasonable price, fine location.The breakfast was great and service there was great. No bells and whistles but did the job. I felt safe and parking was fine.

For most part it was quiet. I stayed 2 nights. 1st night was good! 2nd night I kept hearing this loud sound repetitively for most of the evening until probably about 1030/1130pm that sounded like someone was moving furniture or something above our floor. So I did not sleep until late. It was also really cold in the room. Could not change the temp of AC or even turn it off.

Breakfast staff are happy and quick to make sure food is always refilled and hot. Great location with easy Lyft/Uber access to the city and attractions. Would recommend.

I made several attempts prior to my stay to make sure I got a satisfactory room but there were none here if you don’t want loud road noise. I left as there wasn’t any way I was staying here. I went to where I normally stay. The staff member with long fake eyelashes acted like she was doing me a favor by checking me in - I think she needs a new profession that doesn’t involve customer service. I cannot recommend this hotel. They would not refund me either. I’m a very frequent traveler and don’t mind budget hotels for a night when needing to be close to the airport for a flight but my bayside super quiet hotel with amazing staff and much better amenities accommodated my move for an even cheaper price. Stay elsewhere. Unless you like smoke, noise and kids everywhere.

We had just checked out of the BW Coronado Island and decided to stay another night in San Diego. We decided to stay here..price was right for holiday weekend. Easy to get to. Area quiet. Check in quick. Assigned rooms A/C did not work and mattress was terrible. Asked to be moved, which they did. Second room was better, A/C worked, mattress not as worn and CLEAN which is most important to me. Parking plentiful. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. This is just an average hotel nothing fancy but I do have to say their breakfast is definitely above average for a hotel of this price and if your feeding your kids before any activity this place pays for itself. I would def stay here again.

My stay at this hotel was disappointing. One day, my room wasn’t cleaned at all, which is unacceptable. On top of that, the hotel is extremely noisy — I could hear everything from the hallways and neighboring rooms, making it hard to relax or get a good night’s sleep. Overall, not a comfortable or pleasant experience. I wouldn’t stay here again

Decent hotel around 4.5 miles out from downtown San Diego. Breakfast was included, which was limited but adequate to start your day. Room was good with a balcony although minimal storage space but ok for a couple of days stay. Hotel was kept clean & tidy. There was also free parking at the hotel, which was good to have. Small swimming pool on site, ehich was good for children. Opposite was a marina with some decent eateries. Hotel was approx 15 mintues walk from Shelter Island.

Older hotel but well kept up. Great view of the port where the yachts are docked. Room was clean. Free breakfast was good. Underground parking area a little sketchy at night. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

My room in particular had a balcony with palms that provided shade and privacy. I enjoyed sitting on the balconey. At breakfast a man stands staring at you with his arms crossed the whole time which made me feel uncomfortable..

My second stay and I was very satisfied with my room. Even got to hear the Star Spangled banner played from the Marina across the street. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Will stay again.

Very good for the price, the only thing they can improve is the laundry room. It requires quarters and they only give change if one has money (bills). I asked them to charge my card for $10.00 and give change for laundry and was denied. I had to walk blocks for an ATM since I didn’t have a vehicle

The Hotel overall was ok. Nice pool and pool area. Rooms are ok nothing special at all. Our bathtub held water and the toilet didn’t flush properly and kept running. The front desk was great, I needed to upgrade My room from a king bed to two queen beds and she was very helpful. So overall I’d stay there again now knowing what to expect.
