The property is old, worn and tired out. As I needed a wheelchair accessible room suite for 5 adults, it was one of the few on hotels.com. The room did not have space for a wheelchair to move around. The bathroom had pull up bars, but the shower did not work properly. The tub was too small to put a shower chair in it and it did not drain while showering. If you are a disabled person or with a disabled person this property is not for you. The staff did their best to accommodate us and provide discounts for our inconvenience. They brought us a microwave, and later a new ironing board when ours fell apart. If you have the need for a roll in shower and king bed it may be fine, but they do not have a family suite that’s adequate.

I was very surprised by the quality of the breakfast buffet that was included with my reservation. I was expecting the same old standard powdered eggs, cold cereal and typical waffle stand. Crispy Bacon, seasoned onions ,peppers and potatoes along with many other dish. The staff members were courteous and helpful throughout the entire meal.

Although the temperature was cool, I was able 2 enjoy sitting poolside in the sun, feeling peaceful! There are some food places in walking distance that I didn't explore but my nephew did & found some tasty food options. We traveled by Uber/Lyft to Little Italy which was bustling with soo many restaurants & shops, there was even a Farmer's Market. The graduation was perfect!! After dinner, we returned for our last night's stay. The beds were comfortable; the room was spacious. The housekeeping staff made sure our rooms were cleaned daily & fresh towels left. On checkout day, I enjoyed eating at the on-site hotel restaurant. I decided on the breakfast buffet that included a freshly made omelet accompanied by breakfast potatoes; sausage/bacon and pancakes! The meal was delicious & the wait staff very friendly and personable. All staff encountered were friendly. My only disappointment was not being able to eat the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies 😪 I love love chocolate chip cookies but these contained walnuts & I have a tree nut allergy so no cookies for me😔 There was a cookie offered in replacement but it tasted no where near what I imagined the freshly baked cookie to taste like. Maybe the hotel will consider baking cookies with nuts & without so that on my next visit, I can enjoy a gooey, chocolate chip cookie too!!

I traveled from Missouri for my master's degree graduation and was very disappointed with my stay at this DoubleTree. On our first day, the TV in our room didn't work and had to be replaced. One of the lamps was broken, making it difficult to charge our devices. The room didn't have a microwave, and the first one delivered didn't work either, requiring a second replacement. On top of that the stuff was rude and hateful. I bought snacks and the lady at the front desk was like WOW. Condensing, I will never recommend this hotel at all.

Double Tree by Hilton at the Hotel 1515 Hotel Circle San Diego, CA turned out to be a disappointment to me and my family. First of all, I would like to say that the front desk staff were all friendly nice and professional, and as a former person that worked in the hospitality industry for ten years, they all did a great job. I was disappointed with the room 330 it was disgustingly dirty with stains on the furniture and lampshades. I even noticed some mold in the bathroom and shower area. The sofa bed was not made up, and when we checked at the time we checked in so I called housekeeping and requested for the sofa bed to be made up. When we returned back to our room around 9:00 PM the bed still was not made up, I called housekeeping again, and the housekeeper delivered bedding and when I asked her to make the bed up, she refused to do so and handed me the bedding. This was totally unacceptable to me since I booked a room for three people with three beds. Another thing that bothered me about this property, was the parking fee of $33.00 and the garage is small and it is hard to maneuver around in to park your vehicle. Unfortunately, I will have to return to San Diego, several more times for medical reasons, but this is one property that I will not be staying at again, and I do not recommend staying here.

We were able to check in before 4 and were given our warm cookies. Quality of the food and the service in the restaurant was less than desirable. The gate to the parking ramp was in a bad spot, with people pulled to the side checking which blocked the path to the parking ramp. On several occasions the key card didn’t work and needed to go in 3 separate times for them to replace it.

The location of the property is ideal close to Old town and other attractions. The main entrance is a bit confusing with the cars coming in and out. Getting picked up and dropped off was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast was a hit slow so we were not able to eat anything for breakfast because it was a bit slow. Go with enough time. Otherwise property was clean and the rooms where a comfortable.

The first room we were given on the 8th floor rm. 822 was completely unacceptable the carpet was visibly filthy and worn and there was spider webs visible on the balcony. Even though we lost the pool view that was paid for, the second room on the 2nd floor rm. 216 was a bit more accommodating and cleaner, but although the room was cleaner we lost our clearview of pool and overlooking of the partial view of skyline the 3rd floor constant shuffling and shuffling across the floor by customers and cleaning staff tarnished the pleasantness of enjoying the room. Although the staff waved the $35+ daily parking fee which was completely ridiculous! I would sum up that my anniversary at the Doubletree wasn't as great as I hoped it would be.

It’s was a horrible experience . I will never book with double tree or Hilton ever again . I stood behind two women checking in line for 45 mins then a second front desk receptionist came to do my check in I realized after she started the process the process my passport was in the car she told me to get out of line with my 4 month old baby even tho my fiancée was right at the door walking back in so then I had to wait another 45 mins just to check in with my baby that needed a diaper change and a new bottle made . Once I got back to the front she then came over to me and saw I was up set she gave me to gift paper cards . Then they gave me a room on the first floor that I would have to walk up stairs to get to I’m handicap and can’t walk up stairs good and I have a baby with a stroller so. I had to go back to the front desk then they gave me room on the second floor it’s was disgusting it had things all over the carpet. A dirty toilet and shower. The carpet was tore up everywhere the bathroom was dusty . There was trash on the floor it just was completely disgusting. I went back to the front desk they said they still had to charge me for the room because I had already checked in . I left and will never come back .

The property need a lot TLC. It was clean. However, in our room tiles were coming off, AC didn't work, bathroom was kind of stain and two bed on the room felt to tight. I was having a panic attack and I need to leave the room. However the lobby was far way nor connected to our building. The elevator didn't work and the ice machine either. I was supposed to stay 3 nights and I just left canceling my resevation. I called Orbiz to let them and they said they couldn't do anything for me. I went to the lobby and report the hotel condition and they also did nothing for us. While waiting on the lobby 2 more family arrived to cancel their stay. What make think that the hotel had real problems.

First off the parking is so reduced going up and down the ramp. Literally two bumpers hanging from the rails from people loosing them. The elevators don’t work in the lot so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs with your suitcases from the parking lot to your room. The staff is so rude. Charged twice and said “declined” out loud like, and didn’t even apologize when she realized she charged me twice. An alarm went off at 4 in the morning for a min straight. House keeping kept knocking early and we requested none and they kept knocking every 30 min.

I will NEVER stay here again. Go to the bathroom at 2:30 in the morning, wash hands and water will not drain and its leaking. Call the front desk, no maintenance on site, send up security with towels. FWI security guard was very understandable. He goes and gets plungers; he pulls up lots of charcoal looking pieces. I am a disabled vet; anxiety is off the chain. I am alone at this time. Now its 3:00 in the morning, call the front desk and she says no more rooms. I said the devil is a lie. She "found" a room. Luckily my daughter shows up at 3:45 to help me move. We get settled in, my daughter pulls back her sheets and there is BLOOD on her sheets. Lord take the wheel. Call for more sheets and guess what, they didn't fit.... My daughter just threw them on the bed and grabbed a blanket. Next day reached out to the manager, not once, not twice but three times.....kept getting "she is going to call you" I received my call after I spoke to her. I guess CYA covering your ass. I took pics of everything. The manager gave a voucher for free buffet, who is going to eat breakfast, when they changing rooms at 4:00 in the morning????? Yes, we received a voucher for the following morning, so what. Then she said she wasn't going to charge for parking, guess what......they charged me. The 2nd night I stayed, I arrived at 4:30pm. Check in is a ridiculous 4pm. But anyway, I go to check in and Im told my room isn't ready and Incan either wait or have a different room. I say I'll take the other room. So after the front desk girl going back and forth with herself about which room I'll get she finally picks one on the 3rd floor. I get up there and I'm kinda grossed out. Literally all the lamp shades were crooked, which I later discovered was because they weren't actually attached to the lamps. The light switch covers have weird stains on them. The blow dryer had a strange coating on it like the plastic was breaking down from chemicals. It looked and felt like a gross, outdated and dingt room. Overall, the property looked nice outside of the rooms, but once inside.... ewww.

When we checked in and asked about places to eat there had no clue said there was a restaurant in hotel but couldn't even say if it was good Went to take a shower there was 2 of us and only one towel had to call and wait for more The shampoo and conditioner smelt very good and the lotion Had a balcony but couldn't use it as it was on the path way from the parking garage and that is where everyone hung out to smoke weed couldn't even open door it was so bad and strong Pool had a great fire pit Had to ask for cookies and felt like it was an inconvenience to give us some I am disabled and parked in the horribly small tight fit parking garage because the over sized was full And the elevator didn't work was always stuck open on bottom floor told girl at front desk she said ok sorry I asked about the handicap spot outside of gate that had same car in it the whole time we were there along with a U-Haul taking up multiple spaces The employees parked in fire lane in front of our balcony which was on floor level room 111 you looked out and there cars where there on other side of walk way For being a doubletree in an area with tons of hotels and motels surrounding It it is very ran down and very over priced for what you get Would not recommend the kings inn next door was cheaper and cleaner stayed there the next night when we decided to stay

The room was not up to par with double tree standards. I’ve stayed at many over the years and this was by far the worst. In the bathroom, there was a huge hole in the wall hiding behind the painting above the toilet. My daughter noticed it before using the bathroom. When I moved the painting there were some kind of sewage pipes being held together by hose clamps, not sure why that would be there when the joint being used didn’t appear to be malleable. Maintenance came up, saw the hole and had the perfect sized patch for it. Curious as to why it wasn’t patched beforehand if the materials were available? While taking a shower I happened to look up and there was a bulge in the ceiling that appeared to be from a previous leak from above. The ceiling was still soft to the touch and there were specs of mold all around. I didn’t notice initially but my wife saw mold in the caulking around the tub. There’s a random door in the corner of the “kids room” that apparently leads to the roof. While I understand there’s nothing you can do about an access door, I believe it should be labeled and extra locks should be added (pad locks, digital lock with keypad, etc.) it made my wife and I uncomfortable knowing that our kids would be next to a door that led to the roof. Lastly, parking should be mo

First front desk staff was nice, this is about the property and cleanness. The property itself wasn’t well kept. To sum up our experience quick… 1) stairway and elevator leading to lobby because it’s in a separate building. Dirty not well kept and outdated. 2) pool it states that it’s heated but not very much kind of cold. 3 Room Some Furniture scraped damage. Carpet dirty, one stain looked like blood. Patio old banana in a corner , dirty. Bathroom Bathtub was dirty and rusty. I clean it. Same with the bathroom furniture it was scraped and damaged. I gave this place 3 stars because the staff were really nice. The property itself is very outdated, which I can understand for the price but that’s exactly why it’s frustrating that they charge $33 per night for parking and don’t include breakfast. If the property is going to be that outdated, the least they could do is offer free parking and complimentary breakfast to balance it out. After doing the math, I realized I could have stayed at a nicer hotel for just a little more and had both parking and breakfast included.

Took over 24 hours to fix the heating issue I had. The first night the heater wasn't work then maintenance can and fixed it but a few hours it stopped working. So in the morning we told them about the problem and they told us they will have someone check it out while we were gone. We gone day and came back to a cold room. We asked if they had checked on it and the lady at the front told us she didn't know about the issue. She then sent someone to check and he fix it so at 8pm we were moved to another room which was pain but glad they helped us out. I just wish it had been done a lot sooner.

When cars are trying to enter or exit the cars that are parked or want to parked especially by the Handicap stall, it was a disaster because everyone was in the way trying to get in or out or even park! Plus, guess trying to exit couldn’t get through because the ticket/credit card machine wasn’t working properly so created a huge lines of cars. They needed someone to standby and help the guess trying to exit. The room was good. The restroom needed some upgrades. The shower curtains was ripped, the tub had some stains and some kind of glued that couldn’t rub off. Oh, and the elevator at the parking garage wasn’t working properly. Took forever to open and close, had to take the stairs. Staff was excellent!

I think that the room was OK. The bed was clean. However there was some streaks running down the door little touches that could’ve been better. Overall, staff were nice however there was one discrepancy. I arrived earlier, so I was prepared to sit in the lobby until my room was ready. One of the young ladies asked, I assumed the desk manager if there were any rooms available, she looked at me and then looked at her and said no, not right now and walked away. The young lady went on break so the manager covered her approximately 30 minutes after our exchange there were several men that walked in and she immediately gave them a room. Very disappointing. I return to the desk and ask the young man for a room and he provided me one directly after that

They will ticket or tow your car if you don’t give them 40$ … just ridiculous in my opinion …

Also, I had no towels or wash cloths in my room.

Stay couldn’t have gone any better beside small things i noticed on my stay but didnt ruin my vacation since i was out and about most of the time. First the tv screen was showing 2 different colors and was very dark couldnt watch anything really. Also there was a stain in the carpet which was wet (could be from cleaning/cleaning product) room 629. The parking could also be confusing and kind of a hassle cause theres no space or parking in the front so your blocking other people behind you! Anddd it is 33$ for parking per night so keep in mind if you plan to stay long.Other than everything else from the location of the room n balcony and staff being super nice and helpful and its right in the middle of everything to ! Amy at the front desk was extremely gracious and welcoming at check-in. The cookies were delicious :) The property is lovely. Once on your way to the room it is noted that the elevators and hallways could use a fresh face and new carpet, as the carpeting in the guest rooms could stand to be updated (along with a few other details) but good value for the rate. Although the parking fee is STEEP compared to other Hotel Circle establishments. All-in-all, I visit SD multiple times a year and this hotel is always in the rotation. Great location, reliable services and clean. I appreciate the comfortable stay.

Stayed here whilst in town for a conference nearby. Customer service scored high points as every staff member I talked to was polite and accommodating. The rooms are a little dated and need some TLC. I got a 2 queen room, and the beds were fine. DirecTV was fine, I didn’t need a smart TV for this trip (does anyone “need” a smart TV?) The carpeting had many spots throughout the room, between the beds and even over by the couch and balcony. Liked having the coffeemaker and mini fridge. Bathroom was nice however there were marks in the shower/tub where there could have been a shelf unit but since removed…? Shower curtain rings were plastic and had seen better days. Apparently the hotel had issues with people taking home towels so they had a nice little price guide on the counter in case one wanted to take home their towels. Nightstand had a wireless phone charger with USB and regular plugs so that was cool. Parking garage was convenient but has some very tight turns (appreciate the signage for this though!) Overall, it was a nice stay but the rooms need some upgrades or at the very least some freshening up. Thank you to the front desk and restaurant staff for being so nice and friendly.

We arrived to the hotel around 3:30 pm to see if it was possible to check in, we were told that no we couldn’t get an early check in with the original room we requested and reserved there were only double queens available. We opted to wait until our 4 pm check in. We were then told that our room that we already booked weeks in advance and paid for would not be ready at 4pm and that we would need to wait until 5pm. The front desk employee then said that this is standard and that there is no guarantee that the room we booked/ paid for in advance would be available upon check in. On top of this the staff was not friendly or welcoming like I remember in the past. Sadly I don’t think we’ll be returning. Please do better.

And woke up everybody again at 7 AM. I contacted the hotel at night. They said they could not reference where the sound was coming. Did not try to resolve anything. At around 11:30pm they told me I could switch room rooms. I don’t think that was very sensible regarding the fact we were not the one with the dog, but we were expected to pack up a room and switch room rooms before any other resolution.

The location and exterior of the hotel were fine, but the room itself felt very outdated and had an odd smell. While I was checking in, another guest was complaining about bedbugs, which was concerning. Most of the front desk staff were rude and unhelpful; only one receptionist was actually friendly. The parking lot felt very sketchy, and they still charge $33 for it, which definitely didn’t feel worth it. Breakfast was extremely limited and the same every day — you might as well go to Starbucks and spend the same amount for something better. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

Upon walking into our room we were hit with the worst mildew/musky smell. We opened the sliding door and room door just to get fresh air. The carpet is beyond disgusting and the wallpaper is falling off the wall. In the middle of the night my daughter began having trouble breathing while she was sleeping. The next morning I noticed sooo much debris/dust bunnies on the ceiling above her bed from the vent. Clearly hasn't been cleaned in I don't know how long. The TV had no signal so we couldn't watch anything. We were able to talk to someone about our issues and they stated they would have someone come up and do a deep clean of the room and fix the TV. It was never done. I will give the property at least one positive. There included (paid $40) breakfast is pretty good. With that being said, Save your money and go somewhere else.

I was not given any info regarding the breakfast buffet that I paid additional for. In the morning, I was told that I had to go to the front desk to ask for a ticket to be able to dine. That was inconvenient. Same thing for the second morning. At the dinning hall, no one offered the omlet that was to be prepared as mentioned on the signed at the front of the hall, and no coffee service was offered either. Later in the day, I went to the front desk to get the new towels sets and toilet paper that my room needed and witnessed the staff give complimentary cookies and water for the guests in front of me that just checked in. I received neither. The shower water barely came out.

Everything was great! An area of improvement is your restaurant. The service is not up to your Double Tree standards. The 3 times we ate breakfast was really frustrating. No one to greet us and show us to a table, waited unusual amount of time for someone to take our order, and coffee refills were non-existent. By the way, the restaurant was not busy at all the 3 times we were there.

I stayed here 3 years ago and it’s wasn’t nearly this bad. I would avoid this place if you can. I paid 300 for one night with just disappointment. Did not have a good experience at all. I specifically asked upon request before check in to make sure no down comforters and pillows were on the bed as my partner is severely allergic. Of course once we checked in 4 hours after check in time, they had more than enough time to have our room ready. It was not and had to wait for them to change out our room. They also did not take the down pillows and comforters out of the room and made me do it. Then said to leave whatever we didn’t need and leave in the hallway. Again absolutely horrible service and staff. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel. I am requesting a full refund at this point.

Most Employees were nice except for one lady who worked at the front desk, she seemed annoyed when we asked for help with Ice since the ice machine on our floor was broken, and we also needed a new liner for the ice bucket, she just seemed like this was a big inconvenience to her, my partner also asked her for some of the cookies they were handing out at check in and she rudely told him she only had enough for people checking in.. the other lady that night helped us right away with the liner and ice, she went out of her way to get us ice from the kitchen and everyone else was very helpful, and the hotel was clean. We also got an upgrade when we checked in which was a nice surprise considering we booked through Expedia, we will 100% be back the property was beautiful

At one point, we were even given a key to a room that we were told was available. We used the key and walked in, only to find a family asleep inside. This was shocking, embarrassing, and completely unacceptable for both us and the family staying there. I was told we would be compensated and receive reward points for the inconvenience, especially since we had to accommodate guests who should have had their own rooms. I’ve called multiple times, but I’m always told the manager is in a meeting. I was later informed that only one night was comped for one of the rooms, that this was “more than enough,” and that I should stop calling.

There’s a few things that could be updated but over all was clean. When going to the onsite restaurant, we were seated got some coffee, and then after 20 minutes we had to go find someone in the kitchen to take our order, at that point we decided to leave. We requested comforters and security brought them to us quickly. The hotel required key card to even enter the lobby so it felt safe. We checked out 4 nights later and I got a charge for the parking. Called the hotel to see what was going on and they refused to help me, they said since it was posted already they can’t refund me. I feel we were cheated not sure if I would rely on this hotel. This has never happened to us before. Not one single complimentary water or snack. You must purchase everything! You can also hear Everything, every couch, sneeze or whisper, so if your a light sleeper and have neighbors, good luck sleeping. Also, no complimentary breakfast. Breakfast buffet is $25 for dried eggs ans stale bacon. Again, Ive noticed this trend with Hiltons. You get more for my money at a Comfort Inn.

It’s apparent that they used all of the money on the lobby instead of the rooms. The carpets are old and stained. Housekeeping was daily and tidied but not with attention to detail (once the pillows were left undone on the bed, another time the washcloths weren’t removed). Our room was directly behind the elevators so we heard them going up and down all night long. Some of the front desk staff were nice and helpful, others not so much. Honestly this makes me second guess ever staying at a DoubleTree again.

Probably my biggest issue was the staffing at the front desk. It seemed like there were often guests waiting in line to check in, check out, or purchase something from the little market next to the front desk. I waited 15 minutes to buy 2 bottles of water on one day, and 10 minutes the next. They either need a different process or more staff. Facility is nice...didn't use the pool but it looked okay. Nice seating area out front (waiting for Lyfts/Ubers). It's convenient if you're visiting a student at SDSU, which is why we stayed here.

Very old and outdated Doubletree, the worst I've ever stayed in. Old uncomfortable mattresses, filthy parking garage with scary acting elevator and lacking good maintenance in the rooms. The first room that I stayed in (519) had at least a 2" open gap under the front door before I requested to be move. I see why the property has a 3.5 rating and I will never stay there again. I enjoyed the comfort and ascetic of the room. We unfortunately had a neighbor with a loud dog who was barking often, but after a chat with the staff, things settled and we were able to enjoy our time. The pool was the most unique feature in the hotel, as it was warm where the hot spa was not. Thought it was odd, but not unpleasant.

The pictures looked so nice but once I got to my room it was not what I was expecting. The bathroom sink was re-caulk but it looked like it was done by a kid. It was not a smooth and clean job. There was caulking all over the sink which is totally unacceptable in my opinion. The body soap dispenser was broken for two days even though my room was cleaned, it never got changed. I was being left body soap bars to use instead. I had to complain and then I got it replaced. I should not have done that. Once the hotel services see something is broken, they should automatically replace it. The hair dryer was disgustingly dirty. Oily fingerprints and hard food residue all over. I had to complain and got a new one. The bathroom vanity tubing was replaced but the tubes that were used were bigger than the original so they had to cut a whole on the wooden shelf to make it fit. It looks really ghetto. My son lost his key card while swimming, so I told the front desk and they made me a new key and told me the old card was cancelled. I wondered how she had done that because we had 2 new cards but I chose to trust her since she does this for living. Well the key turns up and it worked. So the front desk clerk just didn’t care about it and lied to my face so she didn’t have to deal with it. Very disappointing. Cleaning staff and other working staff were so polite and nice. We love the welcome chocolate cookies as well. The pool and the fire were all nice but the pool does close too early.

Front desk was nice enough, but condition of hotel is awful. Should have been concerned when pulling up since then area was definitely prone to vagrants. The hotel lobby seems updated, however the rest of the hotel is old, dirty, and in no way nice. The room was atrocious, smelled, filthy carpet, dents in the walls. The baseboards were coming off and there was so much grime and dirt along them in the carpet I didn’t want to take my socks off. I always check the beds when I stay places, thankfully no bed bugs but there were multiple blood spots on the mattress cover. The bathroom smelled sour and was just as old and dilapidated. Broken tiles in shower, drill holes left from where they must’ve removed racks in it, vanity was chipped and worn. The best part of all of this was looking out our “balcony” and seeing beer bottles and underwear - which my 10 year old pointed out. Stay away from this hotel at all costs. We ended up leaving 2 hours after check in and paying for a different hotel. I’ve never done that in my life.

Rooms were clean and spacious, view was ok, amenities existed ... One thing to be aware of, Parking is 33$ / night and getting in and out of the parking lot is a nightmare. Hotel is located on a hill and driving up and down from the parking lot is a two lane path, shared with a front unloading / check in area. So ... if somebody stops to unload or go check in, that takes out one of the two lanes to get in and out of the place. While we were there both of the lanes were blocked and we could not leave the hotel until a few minutes later when the driver in the departing lane came back from the inside and left.

The parking situation in the structure was terrible. Entry and exits were to confined and hard to navigate. Also the elevator in the parking garage was horrendous. The few times we chose to use it, it wasn't working properly. The room itself was overdue for a deep cleaning, noticeable stains and just lack of cleanliness. I have been a Hilton honors member for quite some time and this by far was one of the worst experiences ive had at a location.

The only pro for this hotel was the friendliness of the staff. The cons of this hotel were enough to make me reconsider booking it for future trips. The garage was not what I was hoping in terms of accessibility. To go up a level I had to squeeze through a tight space to reach the other levels. The inside of our room was completely outdated with broken tiles, a shower head with almost no pressure, pealing wallpapers, and a mini fridge that did not cool with broken control buttons. Having stayed at other DoubleTrees, this one has been the worst. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a nicer hotel. This one is definitely not worth it.

This hotel is the worse one I've ever stayed at, old, dirty, needs urgent updating. Parking structure is so tight not SUV or truck friendly. Didnt even get the room i paid for, paid for a king size bed and they gave me a double queen due to plumming issues, had to get moved from my first room after check in had a really bad smell, rhe second room wasn't any better. The tub was dirty had hair and over all a bad experience. Expidia should concider taking this hotel off their website.

I had to check into FOUR different rooms during my stay due to problems in each one. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being a non-smoking booking. The second had black mold in the bathroom, which was both disturbing and unacceptable for health and safety reasons. The third room had an AC unit that smelled like wet dog—impossible to ignore. By the time we reached the fourth room, we were exhausted and didn’t want to move again, even though the poor water pressure made basic tasks like showering frustrating. Beyond the room issues, the elevator in the parking garage was not working, which meant lugging luggage up stairs—not ideal and not accessible for everyone. Trying to get connected to the Wi-Fi was also a nightmare. Despite repeated attempts I was never able to get it working properly, which made it hard to get any work done. For a property that carries the DoubleTree name, the lack of upkeep was surprising. From the mold to the musty AC smells and smoke odors, it’s clear that there’s a serious maintenance and cleanliness issue at this location. Add in the unusable elevator and inconsistent amenities, and it made the whole experience feel like a budget motel rather than a trusted hotel brand.

Where do i start the whole stay was one problem after another. As soon as we walked back in the room from dinner the room smelled horrible. Dirty, like mold and wet. None of us were able to sleep that night finally in the morning we let the front desk know. We got moved rooms they gave us 2 keys only 1 worked. The tv and the light near the bed were unplugged. That night when i went to take a shower the shower wouldn't work so a maintenance guy had to come out and replace a part at 8:30 at night. There was hair in the shower before anyone even showered and under both room sinks where the towels go were build up. Just the whole stay was suppose to be relaxing and it was just inconvenient. Such a disappointment since its suppose to be double tree by hilton never again will my family and i stay at this property.

We drove from Arizona to San Diego. Got there at one in the morning the room they gave us. The carpet was wet like if somebody vomited and they try to clean the carpet quickly we asked to be changed to a different room. There was no other rooms available we have no choice but to try to sleep, which we have to leave the sliding door open all night for the smell to air out a little bit woke up feeling nauseous and sick by seven in the morning went back downstairs and requested a new room which they said they would try to find me another one by 4 o’clock, so we had to be out of our room most of the day due to the smell until they found another room for us

If you don’t complete that step, your stay could be canceled—so make sure to watch for that email. Thankfully, the assistant manager was there and able to help us. I’ve been a loyal Hilton guest for years, and I truly can’t say enough about the consistently wonderful experiences I’ve had. Hilton is the only hotel I book—it's become our go-to place because of the safe surroundings, exceptional customer service, and overall welcoming environment. Every stay feels like a treat. The staff is always friendly, professional, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the cleanliness, comfort, and care you experience from check-in to check-out. While I do wish the rates were a little more budget-friendly at times (especially as a frequent guest), the value, comfort, and peace of mind I get each time make it worth it. Hilton has become a place where we feel at home, and we always look forward to returning. Thank you for the continued excellence!

I definitely will not stay here again. Only positives were the server at the restaurant was very helpful and the bed was comfy. Lamps were broken, wallpaper peeling back in one of the rooms, jacuzzi was luke warm at best, room was not ready at check in, food was terrible and the A.C did not get cold at ALL despite being on 60 degrees the entire time. It was just an unpleasant stay for my family of 4 who paid $280 a night. I really expected them to do better for that price plus $33 a night for parking.
